Pink is showing her support for Jessica Simpson after the fashion designer was mom-shamed for dyeing her 7-year-old daughter’s hair.

Simpson, 39, posted a photo of her daughter Maxwell after a trip to the salon. In the photo, the ends of Maxwell’s hair were dyed different shades of purple.

Immediately, fans took to the comments section to share their unsolicited opinions over Maxwell’s new hairdo.

“So young its a shame,” one user wrote. Another said, “Isn’t she too young to have her hair dyed?”

In response to the backlash, Pink posted a picture of herself dyeing her 8-year-old daughter’s hair blue.

JESSICA SIMPSON SAYS HAVING 3 YOUNG CHILDREN IS ‘NO JOKE’

“I heard people were bummed on Jessica Simpson for letting her seven-year-old get her hair colored,” Pink wrote on Instagram on Thursday. “So we thought we’d share what we did yesterday.”

She added the hashtags, “bluehairdon’tcare” and “getyourownkids,” in addition to turning comments off on the post.

PINK REVEALS SHE NEEDED STITCHES AFTER SLASHING HUSBAND CAREY HART’S TIRES ON THANKSGIVING

The “Raise Your Glass” singer is no stranger to being a for criticism on social media, with both her and husband Carey Hart being on the receiving end of numerous comments judging the couple on their parenting. One such instance occurred earlier this year when the star posted an image of her two children looking at a pelican, with her 2-year-old son, Jameson, missing a diaper.

In an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” in April, Pink described how the negative reactions to her posts affected her emotionally, claiming they left her in tears. She also vowed to cut back on how much she shares about her family on social media as a whole.

“People went as far as saying, ‘Someone should call Child Services,’ because he didn’t have a diaper on, and ‘How dare I?’ — just some of the nastiest things,” the singer told Ellen. “I cried so hard after that because I like to share my family. … I’m prouder of my kids than anything I’ve ever done and I just won’t share them anymore. I won’t do it.”

Video captures the moment a van jumps 10 feet into the air over roundabout

What an exit.

A driver has lost his license after he was caught on camera jumping his minivan about 10 feet in the air like a stuntman, even though it wasn’t intentional.

Ryan Lamb, then 17, was driving his minivan on the A11 highway in Atteborough, U.K., last September when he pulled out to pass another vehicle right before the entrance to a roundabout that he apparently didn’t see coming.

Unable to slow and make the left turn in time, he drove straight at it and rode over the sloping curb, which launched the silver Citroen into the air. A motorcyclist behind him, Andy Daynes, filmed the incident on his helmet cam, although he missed the moment of impact.

“It is quite a bad roundabout, he just didn’t see what was coming because he was going so fast,” Daynes told SWNS.

Lamb — who had only been driving for three months at the time — and his two passengers escaped the wreck with superficial injuries. However, he has now been hit with approximately $500 in fines, 80 hours of community service and a 12-month driving ban.

“Your driving fell far below the expected standard of competent and careful driving,” judge Jim Agnew said in court.

New York Mets’ Jeff McNeil makes acrobatic catch into White Sox protective netting

The Chicago White Sox are the first MLB team to extend protective netting all the way to their foul poles to protect fans – but it was the New York Mets’ Jeff McNeil who used the netting to his advantage for a spectacular catch Thursday.

In the fifth inning, McNeil, who has earned the nickname “squirrel” since being called up to The Show a year ago, playing in right field, reacted to a foul fly hit by Eloy Jiménez.

McNeil ran at full speed toward the sidewall and caught the ball, but launched himself into the netting. Fortunately for the fans sitting in the front row, the netting held and McNeil popped back onto the field in one piece.

“The fence is really low, so you don’t want to stop there,” McNeil said after the game. “The best-case scenario is just jump into the net and kind of use it for my protection.”

McNeil said his leap was a spur-of-the-moment decision and that he might have jumped into the stands if the netting wasn’t here.

“It would have been unfortunate for whoever’s in the front row,” he said. “I’m going into the stands on that.”

McNeil’s highlight-reel catch was just one of a number of standout defensive plays by the usually defensively inept Mets Thursday.

Off the back of the defensive efforts, and Zack Wheeler’s seven strong innings, the Mets beat the Sox 4-0, sweeping the series in Chicago’s south side, and improving their record to 53-55 as they chase down a potential wild card spot after recovering from a dreadful June.

McNeil, 27, has been a highlight of an otherwise disappointing season for the Mets thus far. He earned his first-ever All-Star berth earlier this season and is currently attempting to win a batting title, batting .331, good for joint second in the National League with LA Dodger Cody Bellinger, behind last year’s MVP Christian Yelich, who sits at .332.

Bangkok bombs injure 4 as Thailand hosts ASEAN summit with Pompeo

Six bomb blasts hit Bangkok early Friday, injuring at least four people, as Thailand was hosting a high-level meeting attended by U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and his counterparts from China and other Asia-Pacific countries.

The devices were found or detonated in at least six different locations, including two bombs at stations of the capital’s elevated Skytrain rail system.

Other locations include a government complex on the outskirts of the city, and near the offices of a company associated with supporters of the current Thai government.

Officials say no one was seriously hurt by the explosions. Among the injured were three women cleaning the streets, while a fourth person was wounded after an explosion at one of Bangkok’s tallest buildings, the 77-story King Power Mahanakhon building.

Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha ordered an investigation into the bombings and urged the public not to panic.

“I would like to condemn those causing the situation which destroys peace and damages the country’s image,” he also wrote in a tweet.

The bombings come as Thailand is hosting this week the annual meeting of foreign ministers of the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), though none of the blasts disrupted the proceedings.

Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan was asked by the media whether the bombing could be related to the junta’s recent relinquishing of power as Thailand only recently ended five years of military rule following a 2014 coup, though he said “I don’t know either, let authorities investigate first.”

This isn’t the first time violence occurred as Thailand was hosting an ASEAN event. In 2009, supporters of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra – the main rivals of the current prime minister – stormed a hotel in the resort city of Pattaya, where an ASEAN meeting was taking place, in a bid to force out a government of their opponents. The ASEAN leaders were forced to flee, some by helicopter, and the summit canceled.

Authorities said Thursday that they found two fake bombs outside their headquarters in central Bangkok near the venue of the current meeting of ASEAN foreign ministers. Two men were arrested in connection with the incident.

Comey feuds with Rep. Meadows over IG probe: ‘@ me next time, bruh’

James Comey tangled with Rep. Mark Meadows in the Twitter arena overnight after the Republican congressman accused the feisty former FBI director of going silent ahead of the release of what could be a damaging inspector general report.

And he deployed a trendy put-down to call out Meadows for committing the social media sin of not tagging him: “@ me next time, bruh.”

DOJ WILL NOT PROSECUTE COMEY FOR LEAKING MEMOS: SOURCES

The light-hearted feud belies the apparent severity of the Justice Department inspector general’s investigation. Officials confirmed Thursday that following a referral from the IG, the department has decided against prosecuting Comey for leaking classified information.

But Fox News is told the release of Horowitz’s report is “imminent.” And Meadows, R-N.C., entered the fray by suggesting the report will contain damaging details for Comey.

“As the IG report on Comey approaches, we’re getting the sound of silence. No Comey tweets. No softball interviews,” he tweeted. “Must be tougher when you get questioned by a DOJ Inspector General. The truth is coming. His actions will come to light. And the verdict won’t be pretty.”

Comey hit back, tweeting that he’s simply waiting “for facts” before speaking publicly and suggesting he’s not concerned – before calling out Meadows for not following the Twitter code of honor:

“I love transparency. I just wait for facts before I talk about them. I’m confident the results of all IG reports will show honest public servants worked hard to protect this country from a threat this president and his enablers won’t acknowledge. And @ me next time, bruh.”

FBI AGENTS RETRIEVED MEMOS FROM COMEY’S HOUSE

It remains unclear how tough the IG report will be on Comey, but the review pertains to memos he wrote memorializing his interactions with President Trump in the days leading up to his firing. He then passed those documents to a friend, Columbia University Law Professor Daniel Richman, who gave them to The New York Times. Comey admitted to that arrangement during congressional testimony.

After the fact, the FBI classified two of those memos as “confidential.”

The report related to Comey’s leaks is separate from DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s review of alleged Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) abuses.

Comey, whom Trump fired in May 2017, denied that sharing the memos with his legal team constituted a leak of classified information. Instead, he compared the process to keeping “a diary.”

“I didn’t consider it part of an FBI file,” Comey told Fox News’ Bret Baier last year. “It was my personal aide-memoire…I always thought of it as mine.”

Comey, during June 2017 testimony, said he deliberately leaked a memo in order to prompt the appointment of a special counsel.

The New York Times published the report with Comey’s memos on May 16, 2017, revealing the contents of the memo which said the president asked him to shut down the federal investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn in an Oval Office meeting.

Katy Perry and collaborators ordered to pay $2.78 million for copying Christian rap song

Katy Perry and her collaborators at her record label have to pay $2.78 million after a federal jury found the pop star copied one of her hit songs.

The jury previously found that Perry’s 2013 hit “Dark Horse,” which spent four weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 in early 2014 and was performed at the Super Bowl, copied a 2009 Christian rap song titled “Joyful Noise.”

It was an underdog victory for rapper Marcus Gray, a relatively obscure artist once known as Flame, whose 5-year-old lawsuit survived constant court challenges and a trial against top-flight attorneys for Perry and the five other music-industry heavyweights who wrote her song.

The amount fell well short of the nearly $20 million sought by attorneys for Gray and the two co-writers of “Joyful Noise” — Emanuel Lambert and Chike Ojukwu — but they said they were pleased.

TAYLOR SWIFT DENIES KISSING KATY PERRY IN ‘YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN’ MUSIC VIDEO, ANNOUNCES CELEBRITY CAMEOS

“We weren’t here seeking to punish anyone,” said Gray’s attorney, Michael A. Kahn. “Our clients came here seeking justice, and they feel they received justice from a jury of their peers.”

Perry herself was hit for just over $550,000, with Capitol Records responsible for the biggest part of the award — $1.2 million. Defense attorneys had argued for an overall award of about $360,000.

Perry’s attorney, Christine Lepera, said they plan to vigorously fight the decision.

“The writers of Dark Horse consider this a travesty of justice,” Lepera said.

“Dark Horse,” which combines elements of pop, hip-hop and trap styles, was a mega-hit for the Santa Barbara, California-born singer, with its call-and-response chorus of “Are you ready for (ready for), a perfect storm (perfect storm)?”

Gray, a native of St. Louis, sued later in 2014. His song of earnest and ebullient praise stood in stark contrast to the playful black magic evoked by “Dark Horse,” and an early version of the lawsuit faulted Perry’s song for tainting the sanctity of his.

The two-week trial had two phases: One about music, one about money.

Perry took the witness stand on the first day of testimony. She testified, as her co-writers would, that she had never heard of Gray or Flame or “Joyful Noise” until he sued.

She got a rare laugh from the courtroom when her attorneys were struggling with technical issues as they tried to play a part of “Dark Horse.”

“I could perform it for you live,” said Perry, who did not appear in court for the rest of the trial.

The jury heard testimony from musicologists on the disputed section of the two songs — a piece of the musical backing track that plays during the verses of “Dark Horse” and throughout almost all of “Joyful Noise.”

NUN BATTLING KATY PERRY OVER CONVENT SAYS SINGER ‘HAS BLOOD ON HER HANDS’

While jurors were told to consider only those sections, they gave a surprisingly sweeping verdict Monday that held all six songwriters responsible for copying “Joyful Noise.” That included Perry, who wrote only lyrics, her co-lyricist Sarah Hudson, and Juicy J, who only provided a rap verse for the song.

The instrumental track that was most at issue was created by Dr. Luke, Max Martin and Circuit.

During closing arguments earlier Thursday, Gray’s attorneys said that because the relevant riff plays through 45 percent of “Dark Horse,” the plaintiffs should get 45 percent of its earnings, including every album that included it. They put those overall earnings at $41 million, thus seeking nearly $20 million.

The defense argued that only fractions of the album earnings should count for the single song and that considerable promotional expenses paid by Capitol Records should be subtracted.

Gray’s attorneys said those expenses were gratuitous, pointing out to jurors that they included $13,000 for a hairstylist for Perry for one awards show and nearly $2,000 for flashing cocktail ice cubes.

The nine jurors deliberated for two full days to reach their initial verdict but took just a few hours to decide on dollar amounts.

Perry’s five co-writers were each given penalties to pay that ranged from about $60,000 for Dr. Luke to more than $250,000 for Martin.

The jurors decided that the instrumental riff the two sides were fighting over was responsible for 22.5 percent of the success of “Dark Horse” and handed out the awards accordingly.

The defendants’ fight against the decision will begin immediately. U.S. District Judge Christina A. Snyder, who presided over the trial, will now consider a motion to throw out the case.

Lepera, Perry’s attorney, said outside court that the plaintiffs presented no evidence of copyright infringement, no evidence that the songwriters had access to “Joyful Noise” and no evidence the songs that were substantially similar.

“The only matter in common is an unprotectable C and a B note, repeated,” Lepera said. “We’ve been receiving outcry from people all over the world, including other musicologists.”

If the judge upholds the verdict, the case will almost certainly head to an appeals court, where jury awards in similar cases have often been changed or thrown out in recent years.

Texas officer fatally shoots homeless woman after firing at charging, unrestrained dog: reports

A homeless Texas woman was killed when she was struck by a stray bullet fired by a police officer allegedly shooting an unrestrained dog who was charging at him.

Arlington Police were dispatched to an area near Cantor Drive and North Collins Street at around 5:15 p.m. Thursday to conduct a welfare check on a woman that was reportedly passed out in a grassy field, FOX4 reported.

Once on the scene, the first responding officer approached the woman and noticed an unrestrained dog. When he began calling out to her, the dog began to bark and soon charged at him, officials say.

The officer retreated, pulled out of his gun and fired several rounds at the dog, The Dallas Morning News reported. It was at this point the woman began to shout and, police said in a statement, it was “apparent she was injured.”

The dog was found in the woods with a badly severed leg in June by fishermen at Johnson Creek near Burns, Tenn., WTVF reported. Animal doctors believed the dog might have gotten his leg stuck on something in the forest and gnawed it off in order to break free to find food. Scooter’s leg was amputated at the Animal Medical Hospital.

Ferguson said he was one of five soldiers in a truck that rolled over an improvised explosive device. He lost his leg in the explosion, but all five in the truck survived. To his condition, he said: “There’s silver linings to anything, you can find something, and even if you can’t, somebody’s had it worse! So stop complaining.”

The veteran said he’s blessed to be alive and now to have his new pet. “It’s impossible to not smile around him,” Ferguson told the station. “Everybody’s so happy to see him, then they notice he’s got 3 legs. ‘He’s happy you were overjoyed to see him, don’t pity him!'”

We are watching the central and east Pacific with what’s left of Erick and Flossie. Erick will continue weakening as it passes south of Hawaii late tonight through Friday night. Behind Erick is Flossie, which will take a more northerly track than Erick, keeping Hawaii impacts early next week a possibility as it likely passes just north of Hawaii.

Far out in the Atlantic a disturbance may develop into a depression east of the Lesser Antilles this weekend into early next week.  That system could be near the Bahamas in 6-7 days, but it is way too early to determine any possible U.S. impacts beyond then.
