Rob Gronkowski retired from the NFL after winning another Super Bowl title with the New England Patriots and has recently spoken candidly about the devastating effects football had on his body.

Gronkowski appeared in an episode of HBO’s “The Shop: Uninterrupted” this week and revealed when he really started to think about retiring.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS 2019 NFL OUTLOOK: SCHEDULE, PLAYERS TO WATCH & MORE

“It was about like two years ago there was a game changer in my life. I was trying to go out to the practices in the summer and I was getting smoked by every rookie. I felt in order to do something bigger in life, in order to get to a higher stage, I felt like I had to get away from the game and focus on my health,” he said.

“I lived the typical party life. I was eating f—— s–- every second. I was just trying to put on weight, I was living that life. At the same time, I was going out and playing f—— football and running people over, getting the f–- ran over.”

Gronkowski has been very open about the injuries he suffered while playing in the NFL for 9 seasons.

ROB GRONKOWSKI REVEALS DEVASTATING EFFECTS OF SUCCESSFUL NFL CAREER

Last week, he told NBC News he had a “centimeter of liquid” in his head at points during his career.

“No lie, I felt my head, I used to have liquid,” the former tight end said. “It used to be thick, like, my head used to be thicker—a centimeter of liquid in some spots. And you’d be like, what the heck? You could put indents in my head.”

While Gronkowski left the door open for a potential return to the football field, he noted that he suffered a severe quad injury against the Los Angeles Rams in the Super Bowl.

“I got done with the game, I could barely walk,” he said. “Now I can barely walk. I’m at the after-party, I sit down and I’m just chilling all day, like the rest of the night until 3 a.m. I try to go to bed, I slept for 5 minutes that night. I couldn’t even think. I was in tears, in my bed, after a Super Bowl victory.”

Gronkowski said he couldn’t sleep for more than 20 minutes. He said two weeks after the Super Bowl, he had to get 200 milliliters of blood drained from his leg. Then a week after that another 500 milliliters and then another 300 milters one more week later, for a total of 1 liter.

Gronkowski retired in March and, while the speculation has been that he would return to the Patriots at some time, the devastating effects of playing football appear to be weighing heavily on the future Hall of Famer.

Meghan McCain sides with Trump over ‘Will & Grace’ stars Debra Messing, Eric McCormack

“The View” co-host Meghan McCain condemned far-left “Will & Grace” stars Debra Messing and Eric McCormack for walking back widely criticized comments calling to expose Trump donors in Hollywood.

It all started last week when McCormack responded to a report about an upcoming fundraiser being held in Beverly Hills in honor of President Trump‘s reelection campaign by requesting a “report” on all the attendees.

ERIC MCCORMACK BACKTRACKS, SAYS HE DOESN’T SUPPORT ‘BLACKLISTS’ AFTER CALLING TO OUT TRUMP DONORS

“Hey, @THR, kindly report on everyone attending this event,” he wrote, “so the rest of us can be clear about who we don’t want to work with. Thx,” McCormack tweeted.

However, McCormack attempted to clarify his stance on Tuesday, telling his followers on Instagram that he doesn’t support “blacklists” and he was “misinterpreted.”

Messing agreed with the sentiment, adding “I couldn’t have said it better.” But McCain didn’t buy the liberal stars’ explanations.

“No one is misinterpreting – you want to put a list together of Trump supporters/republicans in Hollywood and end their employment, publicly shame them, possibly invited god knows what into their lives,” McCain tweeted. “THIS is the ‘tolerant Hollywood left’ and no amount of backtracking changes it.”

McCain doesn’t always agree with Trump, who famously had a longstanding feud with her late father, but “The View” co-host and the president apparently see eye-to-eye when it comes to the NBC sitcom stars.

‘WILL & GRACE’ STAR CELEBRATES SIGN CALLING BLACK TRUMP VOTERS MENTALLY ILL

“Bad ‘actress’ Debra The Mess Messing is in hot water. She wants to create a ‘Blacklist’ of Trump supporters, & is being accused of McCarthyism. Is also being accused of being a Racist because of the terrible things she said about blacks and mental illness,” Trump tweeted Thursday. “Will Fake News NBC allow a McCarthy style Racist to continue?”

Trump was presumably referring to an indecent on Wednesday when Messing attempted to explain why she’d recently promoted an Alabama church sign that called black Trump voters mentally ill.

Her response came as #RacistDebraMessing trended on Twitter. Messing claimed she apologized for liking the sign but doubled down on her criticism of the president.

McCain’s co-host Whoopi Goldberg also had a blistering statement for Messing and McCormack this week.

“In this country, people can vote for who they want to — that is one of the great rights of this country,” she said on Tuesday. “You don’t have to like it but we don’t go after people because we don’t like who they voted for — we don’t go after them that way. We can talk about issues and stuff, but we don’t print out lists.”

In an apparent allusion to the McCarthy era, Goldberg added that “a lot of good people” had been accused of things and lost their “right to work.”

Placido Domingo accused of sexual harassment, forced kissing by more women: ‘He groped me hard’

Angela Turner Wilson was co-starring with Placido Domingo in “Le Cid” for the Washington Opera for the 1999-2000 season when, she alleges, he groped her breasts without consent before a performance.

Wilson told the Associated Press that she and Domingo were having their makeup done together when he stood up, put his hands on her shoulders and slipped his hands under her bra straps. She claims he then reached down into her robe and grabbed her bare breast.

The singer, then 28, says she saw him grope her in the dressing room mirror, describing the incident as physically painful.

“It hurt. It was not gentle. He groped me hard,” she said, adding that Domingo then turned and walked away.

Wilson, now 48 and a college voice teacher in the Dallas area, is one of 11 women to come forward with allegations after an Aug. 13 Associated Press story in which numerous women accused Domingo of sexual harassment or misconduct, with some accusers claiming he’d damage their careers if they rebuffed his advances.

New accusations against the Spanish-born opera legend include allegations of unwanted touching, persistent requests for private get-togethers, late-night phone calls and attempts to kiss accusers on the lips.

Several additional backstage employees told the AP that they tried shielding Domingo’s young co-stars from him, alleging that administrators enabled his alleged misconduct.

A rep for Domingo denied the allegations.

LOS ANGELES OPERA INVESTIGATING SEXUAL MISCONDUCT CLAIMS AGAINST PLACIDO DOMINGO

“The ongoing campaign by the AP to denigrate Placido Domingo is not only inaccurate but unethical. These new claims are riddled with inconsistencies and, as with the first story, in many ways, simply incorrect,” Domingo’s spokeswoman Nancy Seltzer said in a statement to the AP. “Due to an ongoing investigation, we will not comment on specifics, but we strongly dispute the misleading picture that the AP is attempting to paint of Mr. Domingo.”

Wilson told the AP that she wanted to come forward with her own allegations after Domingo’s initial response to his first accusers was to say he thought his overtures “were always welcomed and consensual … the rules and standards by which we are — and should be — measured against today are very different than they were in the past.”

Wilson was infuriated by his response.

“What woman would ever want him to grab their breast? And it hurt,” she said. “Then I had to go on stage and act like I was in love with him.”

Now a pastor, Melinda McLain, who was the production coordinator at LA Opera for its inaugural season in 1986-87 and also worked at the Houston Grand Opera, said that at both opera companies, she made it a point to never put Placido Domingo in a rehearsal room alone with a young female singer. (AP)

Melinda McLain, who was the production coordinator at LA Opera for its inaugural season in 1986-87 and also worked at the Houston Grand Opera with Domingo, told the AP she made it a point not to put Domingo in rehearsal rooms alone with young female singers, even if he specifically requested it, and also tried to supply him with male dressers.

LOS ANGELES OPERA WON’T DETAIL INVESTIGATION INTO PLACIDO DOMINGO ALLEGATIONS

“We created these elaborate schemes for keeping him away from particular singers,” McLain said. “I never would have sent any woman of any sort into his dressing room.”

McLain said another strategy was to invite Domingo’s wife, Marta, to attend company parties “because if Marta was around, he behaves.”

Several LA Opera costume employees alleged that Domingo’s backstage behavior was common knowledge and that management had been aware of it for years but did little to stop it. One employee said her colleagues tried to steer clear of sending women into fittings with Domingo as recently as the 2016-2017 season.

“I was told by my direct boss that they avoided sending any sort of attractive young woman into a fitting with him because of his behavior,” said one employee who requested anonymity because she is still in the opera industry and fears repercussions. She said Domingo was known for “getting too close, hugging, kissing, touching and being physically affectionate.”

Another costume employee described narrowly avoiding a wet kiss on the lips from Domingo by turning her head at the last minute so it landed on the side of her mouth. She said she reported it to a supervisor, who told her to avoid being alone with Domingo.

PLACIDO DOMINGO CONCERTS CANCELED AMID SEX MISCONDUCT ALLEGATIONS

The need for women to come up with their own avoidance strategies just to get their jobs done is a classic example of a sexually hostile work environment, a key legal component of sexual harassment, experts note.

The LA Opera has hired outside counsel to investigate the allegations in the initial AP story.

Wilson was the only new accuser to speak to the AP on the record. The others requested anonymity because they still work in the industry and said they feared recriminations in a world long dominated by Domingo and other powerful men.

One established soprano said she feared not only for herself but for her husband, who also works in opera. Others spoke of wanting to protect an art form that is struggling to remain relevant in the U.S. And some said vocal support for Domingo in Europe — and skepticism of the women’s accusations — has made them more fearful of coming forward publicly.

Domingo’s sometimes brazen backstage pursuits were an open topic of discussion, according to a number of singers and others in the industry.

One former LA Opera staffer said Domingo once backed her up against a wall, grasped her hand and whispered into her ear as her male boss looked on awkwardly. Someone should have told Domingo it was inappropriate, she said, “but it shouldn’t be the girl in the hallway on a headset trying to do her job.”

The employee said wardrobe staff had a joke about spraying female singers “with tenor spray, like bug spray, to keep the tenors off you.”

Some of the women told the AP that avoidance strategies included asking Domingo about his grandchildren to distract him and giggling awkwardly and pretending they didn’t quite understand when he asked for their phone numbers or suggested they meet somewhere.

Baritone Robert Gardner said he was surprised the star’s behavior hadn’t become public sooner “given his reputation inside the industry.”

EUROPE TAKES WAIT-AND-SEE APPROACH TO PLACIDO DOMINGO ALLEGATIONS

Gardner contacted the AP to say he witnessed Domingo’s behavior with mezzo-soprano Patricia Wulf, who previously was the only accuser willing to be identified by name. Wulf worked with Domingo and Gardner in 1998 at Washington Opera, where the legend also served as general director, and the baritone confirmed that the star persistently propositioned her.

“I saw him positioning himself and maneuvering around rehearsal rooms and in the hallway to get close to her, and she was clearly avoiding him,” Gardner said.

Wulf told the AP that Domingo would confront her night after night when they performed together with the same whispered question, uttered very close to her face: ”‘Patricia, do you have to go home tonight?’”

Retired opera singer Patricia Wulf told the AP that Placido Domingo would confront her night after night when they performed together with the same whispered question, uttered very close to her face: “‘Patricia, do you have to go home tonight?’” (AP)

Though she strenuously tried to avoid him, she said his pursuit seemingly had no bounds and that she feared leaving her dressing room if he was in the hallway. Though Domingo did not physically touch her, she said there was no mistaking his intentions.

Both Wulf and Angela Turner Wilson said they did not report the star’s behavior to management, fearing they wouldn’t be believed and that they would be the ones penalized.

Wilson told the AP she was aware of Domingo’s reputation by her third season at Washington Opera, but wanted to believe his interest was professional when he began to single her out in the fall of 1999. She said he would sit by her during rehearsal breaks for “Le Cid” and talk to her, telling her “I adore you, Angela.” But it soon became clear his interest was not entirely in her singing, she said.

PLACIDO DOMINGO ACCUSED OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT

There were frequent invitations, Wilson said — to come to his apartment to watch a video of a role he wanted her to sing. To go to dinner. Just the two of them.

“I would say ‘No, maestro.’ I said that a lot. I felt like if I put ‘maestro’ on it, it would still be respectful,” she said.

“I stuck to no — ’No, I won’t meet you. No, I won’t go with you upstairs to your apartment. No, no, no.’”

Not long after performances started Oct. 30, she said he came to her dressing room and entered without knocking, saying he wanted to wish her a good show. Then, she said, he added: “I need a kiss. It’s a demanding role. I need a kiss for strength.”

Wilson said she declined, again reminding him she was married, but he continued to insist.

“I remember thinking ‘I have to get to the door,’” she said. “I started to open the door and he slammed the door with his foot and his hand and kept his hand on the door and he said, ‘I need that kiss.’ And he wouldn’t let me out.”

“I said, ‘I’ll make you a deal. You can kiss my cheek’ So he kissed me on my cheek. And then he left. And it scared me so badly. I went back to my dressing table and was shaking. I remember thinking, ‘Now I’m in trouble. How am I going to manage him now?’”

STARS SHINE FOR PLACIDO DOMINGO AT LATIN GRAMMYS

For the rest of the run, she said, “I would lock my dressing room door. My dresser would tell me if he was outside. She would tell me if he was in the hall and if it was safe.”

Later in the show’s November run, Wilson said she was scheduled to have her makeup done alongside Domingo, which “I thought was strange. … Usually, big stars, especially headliners, get their makeup done in their dressing room.”

But she said was reassured by the fact that the makeup person was also present and the door to the room was open.

She said that when Domingo first placed his hands on her shoulders, it merely seemed friendly.

“I didn’t think I was in jeopardy,” she said. “We were having a friendly conversation. … It just came out of nowhere. It wasn’t like he was complimenting me or seducing me or anything, where I would think I need to be on guard.”

She said that after he grabbed her breast, she cried out in pain and asked the makeup person, “Did you see that?” Reached by the AP, the makeup artist said he did not recall the incident and did not want to comment further on the record.

PLACIDO DOMINGO PERFORMS WITH POP SINGERS

She said she called her husband and her parents that night — and also the night he tried to kiss her — and all three confirmed to the AP that she was upset and in tears when she related to them what happened.

Wilson provided the AP with copies of a journal she kept at the time that notes rehearsals for “Le Cid” began Oct. 4, 1999. In an entry a month later, she wrote that Domingo “has told me several times how happy he was with my singing,” but also “he hits on me all the time.” She added, ’Please God don’t let it get any worse.”

The next season, she said she had three roles but that Domingo barely talked to her or acknowledged her.

Though she won the company’s prestigious Artist of the Year award that season, in 2000, she said the Washington Opera never again hired her, which she attributes to her interactions with Domingo.

“Anybody who gets ‘singer of the year’ at that company or any company looks at it as a ticket to a relationship with that company,” she said. “It’s saying you have done good work and deserve to come back. It’s not usually a farewell.”

Her career lasted another decade before she switched mainly to teaching. She sang three seasons at the New York City Opera and at other venues around the country, including the Dallas Opera and Boston Lyric Opera. She also performed at a state dinner at the White House during the Clinton administration and at the opening of George W. Bush’s presidential library.

A number of the women who criticized Domingo’s behavior also expressed a lingering admiration for the star, calling him charismatic and generous, with a knack for remembering everyone’s name, and someone who has made indelible contributions to the industry.

Wilson said she realizes it’s hard for many among his legions of admirers to come to terms with stories of his sexually aggressive actions.

“It would be hard as a fan to justify or rationalize how somebody so charming and generous in so many ways could be this person,” she said.

For years, Wilson said she remained silent about her experiences with Domingo “because I felt that nobody else would say anything.” But when she read the initial AP story, she said she realized something could be done.

“I know if I miss this opportunity and move on in silence, I will feel 20 times worse,” she said. “It’s a big burden to carry around through your life. And every time another #MeToo story comes out, I go into a dark place, and I’m tired of it.”

She said she also came forward for the sake of the young women she now teaches as the chair of a university voice department.

“The music, the art, is so wonderful,” she said, “and I wish the business could at least have the integrity to give these young women a fair shot.”

“NUMBER 1– I apologized for liking that church sign. I said I regret it. I shud have thought before recklessly supporting,” she tweeted Wednesday night.

“You won’t accept this but black people are targeted by Trump’s GOP for voter suppression,” she added. “Charlottesville was about Trump supporters hating POC and Jews.”

Trump declared after the incident that “there is blame on both sides” for the deadly violence, adding, “There are two sides to a story.”

Messing and “Will & Grace” co-star Eric McCormack ignited a media firestorm in recent days when they called for a media outlet to publish the names of people attending a fundraiser for President Trump.

Amid backlash, the two claimed they weren’t calling for a blacklist but rather wanted to bring attention to already-public information.

“I NEVER NOR WOULD I EVER call for a blacklist of anyone for any reason. The info is publicly available. I as a consumer want to know where MY … Money is going when I pay for entertainment. Just as you have the right to not watch W&G bc I don’t support Trump, I have the right to not go see (pay for) a movie with someone supporting babies in cages,” the actress said in two separate tweets on Wednesday.

Convicted felon arrested in death of Wisconsin mom fatally shot while teaching son to drive

Police in Wisconsin have arrested the man accused of killing a Milwaukee mother over the weekend in a road rage incident when she was teaching her teenage son to drive.

Matthew Lee Wilks, 35, was arrested Wednesday and charged with first degree intentional homicide and possession of a firearm by a felon after Milwaukee police said he shot Tracey Smith in the chest after colliding with her vehicle Friday evening.

WISCONSIN MOTHER SHOT, KILLED IN FRONT OF HER SON AS SHE TAUGHT HIM TO DRIVE, REPORTS SAY

Police received a 911 call at around 5:16 p.m. over reports of a shooting on 4000 N. 51st Blvd. Just minutes later, dispatch received a second call to report the same shooting from St. Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee.

Responding officers arrived at the hospital to find the victim’s son, identified only as C. Smith, who informed them that he drove his mother to the emergency room after she had been shot by another driver, later identified as Wilks.

Smith was admitted to the ER at 5:22 but was pronounced dead at 5:38 p.m. An autopsy report revealed that she had been shot in the chest, with the bullet piercing her her heart and left lung before exiting the left side of her back.

C. Smith told police his mother, a Wisconsin Department of Corrections sergeant, was teaching him to drive when the shooting took place.

According to a criminal complaint, he was making a left turn onto W. Fond du Lac Ave when a gold van cut in front of him from the wrong lane, hitting the front driver’s side of their car.

Smith, a passenger in the car, got out to assess the damage. Her son  told police that was when he saw Wilks sitting in his car with the door open.

The two began to argue and Wilks was heard yelling “B—-, I’ll kill you.” He then got out of the van and fired one shot directly into Smith’s chest.

She was heard saying “He shot me.”

Video evidence from the scene led police to Wilks, who was picked out of a lineup by Smith’s son.

Finnish politician under ‘hate crime investigation’ for sharing Bible verse on Facebook

Police are investigating a Christian politician in Finland for an alleged “hate crime” when she shared a Bible verse on Facebook after she criticized a national church for participating in LGBT Pride events.

In the post, ex-Interior Minister Päivi Räsänen, a Christian Democrat MP, criticized the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland (ELCF) for participating in the Helsinki LGBT Pride events in June. Her criticism was alongside a picture of Romans 1:24-27 that describes same-sex relationships as “shameful.”

Her post made Räsänen the subject of a pretrial investigation by the Finnish Police for a suspected incitement against sexual and gender minorities.

“The pre-trial investigations have not yet been completed. Police will provide more details once the investigations have been completed or presented to a prosecutor for consideration of charges,” the Helsinki Police Department officer in charge of the investigation told the Helsinki Times.

Räsänen’s minority party, the Christian Democrats, hold five seats in the 200-seat Finnish Parliament. Tucker challenges Dems’ climate change rhetoric: ‘They’re hypocrites and liars’

Following increased coverage of climate change in the wake of Hurricane Dorian, Fox News host Tucker Carlson challenged his Democratic guest to defend his environmental views Wednesday, and openly laughed at his response before calling it “insane.”

Carlson was interviewing former Clinton adviser Richard Goodstein and asked him if spending trillions of dollars on a climate change initiative was a sound investment.

“[I’ll] actually cite a Republican, Dick Cheney, who had the 1 percent doctrine which is if there is a 1 percent chance that a threat is going to effectuate, we have to treat it as a certainty,” Goodstein replied.

Carlson laughed at the answer and said no one who supports climate change legislation uses facts to prove their claims. Instead, he said, they rely on emotion and intimidation.

“The basic precept of science is, don’t tell me. Show me. Prove it,” he said. “And no one bothers to do that. instead they throw slogans at you. They attack you. Nobody doubts the climate changes. It always has changed. The question is, is man causing it and can we stop it?”

Goodstein claimed the economy would drastically shrink if climate change was not addressed by the federal government. Carlson said it would be illogical to spend 80 percent of America’s GDP on a politically driven climate plan.

“I wasn’t a math major at Harvard,” he said, “but you’re saying that worst-case scenario, climate change reduces the size of the U.S. economy by 10 percent by the end of the century. Bernie Sanders is proposing to spend 80 percent of the entire U.S. economy every year. How does this work?”

Goodstein shot back: “By the end of this century the U.S. economy will be about $100 trillion, not what it is now.”

Carlson replied: “We don’t know what the U.S. economy will look like at the end of the century. That’s insane.”

He also chastized climate change advocates for preaching against consumption while using private planes for personal travel.

“If you really believe this, that this was such a massive existential problem, that you would take up the whole U.S. Economy to fight it, why the hell are you flying on private planes, seriously?” he asked.

Goodstein refused to answer the question, prompting Carlson to call the climate change movement hypocritical.

“They’re telling me that I have to change my whole life because this problem is existential but they’re not changing their lives at all,” he added. “They’re hypocrites and liars. That’s why.”

Marianne Williamson says liberals are ‘mean’ and lie: ‘I thought the right did that’

Longshot Democratic presidential candidate Marianne Williamson suggested in a new interview that she was surprised to find liberals are “so mean” and even lie — lashing out at the party’s treatment of her spiritually tinged campaign.

Williamson sat down with New Yorker editor David Remnick for a wide-ranging podcast conversation, in which she also denied being an anti-vaxxer. She was asked about her plan to take on President Trump with kindness and the politics of “love,” as well as the reception her campaign has gotten.

“I know this sounds naïve,” Williamson said. “I didn’t think the left was so mean. I didn’t think the left lied like this. I thought the right did that, I thought we were better.”

Williamson said “the haters in this country have been collectivized for political purpose” and added that liberal New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof would have been her ideal secretary of state before he condemned her candidacy.

“But then I read that he can’t stand me, so he probably wouldn’t want to work for me,” Williamson said.

Williamson also told The New Yorker that she is “not an anti-vaxxer” and admitted that vaccinations “save lives,” saying a “sloppy comment” resulted in her being labeled as an anti-vaxxer, which put a target on her for social media mockery.

WILLIAMSON DENIES SHE’S ‘CRAZY’ AFTER DELETING TWEET ABOUT ‘POWER OF THE MIND’ IMPACTING HURRICANE DORIAN’S PATH

“I said that they were draconian. I said that they were Orwellian,” she said. “I would not say that [now]. It was a sloppy comment that a presidential candidate should not have said.”

At one point during the freewheeling interview, Williamson oddly said that Trump’s facial features have changed over the years but declined to elaborate.

“If you look at interviews with [Trump] from the 80s… he even looked different, which gives me my own theories about what’s involved in all this. When you see features on someone’s face change that much. I’ll leave it at that,” she said.

Remnick asked, “Not just aging?”

Williamson then told Remnick to “research” and he quickly asked what she meant.

“I don’t want to go into that. It’s just that there are a lot of people who find a lot very curious about the president,” Williamson said. “I’m not running on a campaign of personal demonization, personal attacks. I can keep it to conversations about the president’s policies.”

The spiritual author-turned-presidential hopeful has called for a “Department of Peace” to spur peace initiatives domestically and abroad. Williamson also fought back when she was criticized this week after a reporter tweeted a screenshot of her appearing to attribute Hurricane Dorian’s changed path to the “creative use of the power of the mind.”

“Millions of us seeing Dorian turn away from land is not a wacky idea,” she said in a now-deleted tweet. “It is a creative use of the power of the mind. Two minutes prayer, visualization, meditation for those in the way of the storm.”

Reporter Yashar Ali tweeted that post and Williamson promptly accused him of trying to “debunk, counter or mischaracterize anything I do.”

In another tweet, Williamson seemed to deny that she claimed that “power of the mind” affected Hurricane Dorian’s path.

Kevin Sorbo’s faith-based action film ‘The Reliant’ defends Second Amendment

Kevin Sorbo stars in a faith-based, politically driven action film that’s set for a one-night-only theatrical run.

The film, titled “The Reliant,” is based on a 2017 novel of the same name by author Patrick Johnston, who also wrote the screenplay. Both the film and the book deal heavily with questions of faith in God during a time of crisis, as well as one’s Second Amendment rights.

DOLLY PARTON, CHRISTIAN DUO FOR KING & COUNTRY TEAM UP ON SONG ‘GOD ONLY KNOWS’: GOD ‘LOVES US’

“After an innocent trip to the store ends in rioting and chaos, father of five, Rick (Kevin Sorbo) rushes home desperate to gather his family and find safety,” the film’s official synopsis reads. “His plans are dashed when the very same armed men suddenly appear, led by the ruthless Jack (Brian Bosworth). Caught in the deadly crossfire, the children are forced to seek shelter in the surrounding woods.”

The synopsis continues: “Alone and vulnerable, the children’s faith and family bonds are pushed to the limit, especially those of the eldest daughter, Sophie (Mollee Gray), who questions the morality of gun ownership but soon learns that in God all things are good, including her family’s Second Amendment right to defend themselves. It is now up to the children to reclaim their home, find their parents and put an end to Jack’s rampage.”

SURVIVALIST BEAR GRYLLS SHARES HOW TO ‘BE STILL WITH GOD’ IN DEVOTIONAL BOOK

In the trailer for the film, civil unrest seems to explode in the family’s small town, prompting a hasty retreat to the safety of the woods. The film deals heavily with the concept of outlawing guns and, as the movie posits, leaving only outlaws armed and dangerous in the U.S.

Unfortunately for those hoping to see “The Reliant” in theaters, the window to do so is very limited. According to the film’s website, it will only be in theaters for one night on Oct. 24, 2019 in select theaters across the country.

The film was launched by way of an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign started by Johnston. A second campaign was launched after principle production ended in 2016 to help with post-production costs. On the second campaign’s page, Johnston warns Americans about the potential for the events in this movie to become a reality.

Worm’s 550M year-old ‘death march’ might be earliest known animal trail, study finds

The fossil of a worm that lived 550 million-years-ago may be the earliest known evidence of an animal walking on the Earth’s surface, according to a new study.

The research, which has been published in Nature, looks at the “death march” of Yilingia spiciformis, which means “spiky Yiling bug” in Chinese. Researchers suggest that animals have walked since the Ediacaran period, which started 635 million years ago, earlier than previously thought.

“This discovery shows that segmented and mobile animals evolved by 550 million years ago,” one of the study’s co-authors, Shuhai Xiao, a professor of geosciences at Virginia Tech, said in a statement obtained by Fox News. “Mobility made it possible for animals to make an unmistakable footprint on Earth, both literally and metaphorically.”

MASS EXTINCTION EVENT 2 BILLION YEARS AGO KILLED 99 PERCENT OF LIFE ON EARTH, STUDY SAYS

Xiao continued: “Those are the kind of features you find in a group of animals called bilaterans. This group includes us humans and most animals. Animals and particularly humans are movers and shakers on Earth. Their ability to shape the face of the planet is ultimately tied to the origin of animal motility.”

Y. spiciformis had a thin body, up to 4 inches in length, 1 inch wide and was comprised of 50 symmetrical segments. Found in China’s Yangtze Gorge, along with 34 other fossils of the same species, researchers believe Y. spiciformis is related to a group of anthropods that includes crustaceans and millipedes or annelids.

By contrast, modern-day earthworms are typically a few inches long, but in some cases, have been known to grow up to 14 inches, according to National Geographic.

Rachel Wood, a professor in the School of GeoSciences at the University of Edinburgh, who was not involved with the study, said, “This is a remarkable finding of highly significant fossils. We now have evidence that segmented animals were present and had gained an ability to move across the sea floor before the Cambrian, and more notably we can tie the actual trace-maker to the trace. Such preservation is unusual and provides considerable insight into a major step in the evolution of animals.”
