Newlyweds, 4 wedding guests arrested for breaking into school after nuptials

Well, that’s one way to spend your wedding night.

A newly married couple in Florida and four of their weddings guests were arrested for allegedly breaking to an elementary school hours after the nuptials.

On Sunday, Abigail Carlson and Zachary Fuit said “I do” at Bear Lake and, later in the evening, the 21-year-old bride and 26-year-old groom reportedly snuck into a former elementary school in the city of Milton, accompanied by wedding guests Stephen Pepik, Victor Peres, Zachary Barr and Colton Patterson.

According to arrest reports quoted by the Pensacola News Journal, the six suspects entered the old Munson Elementary School by removing wooden boards the property’s caretaker had used to cover a broken window, the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office said.

The caretaker told authorities that during the evening, he heard a “loud noise” and spotted two of the trespassers climbing through the window, the News Journal reports. The man rushed to write down the license plate numbers of two strange cars parked outside the building, before hearing more noise from the south side of the old school.

The caretaker contacted authorities, who arrived at the scene around 9 p.m. Using the license plate numbers, officials were able to find both cars – and the suspects – later that evening.

The bride told police that the group “found the school, which she and the others believed to be abandoned, parked and looked around the building,” as per reports. Carlson claimed that her new husband took pieces from the electrical breaker.

Madonna says Harvey Weinstein crossed ‘lines and boundaries’ with her, says Donald Trump is ‘insecure’

Westlake Legal Group ContentBroker_contentid-52df1ad9c73046baa577ba42d7f22970 Madonna says Harvey Weinstein crossed 'lines and boundaries' with her, says Donald Trump is 'insecure' Jessica Sager fox-news/person/donald-trump fox-news/entertainment/genres/political fox-news/entertainment/events/scandal fox-news/entertainment/celebrity-news fox news fnc/entertainment fnc article 018f25cc-1117-5e53-87be-6dceb3f7b8a8

Madonna is the latest star to call out Harvey Weinstein for alleged misconduct.

The “Madame X” singer claimed that the now-disgraced producer got away with his behavior in part because women allowed it out of fear and intimidation of the power he wielded in Hollywood.

“Harvey crossed lines and boundaries and was incredibly sexually flirtatious and forward with me when we were working together; he was married at the time, and I certainly wasn’t interested,” she told the New York Times Magazine in an interview published Wednesday. “I was aware that he did the same with a lot of other women that I knew in the business. And we were all, ‘Harvey gets to do that because he’s got so much power and he’s so successful and his movies do so well and everybody wants to work with him, so you have to put up with it.’ So that was it.”

MADONNA SUGGESTS DONALD TRUMP MOTIVATED HER TO MOVE TO PORTUGAL

The Queen of Pop admitted that she felt a huge relief in late 2017 when the multitudes of allegations against Weinstein finally began to be exposed but admitted that she refused to actually celebrate his downfall.

MADONNA: DONALD TRUMP HAS DONE US A ‘GREAT SERVICE,’ ‘MADE US GO AS LOW AS WE CAN GO’

“So when it happened, I was really like, ‘Finally,'” Madonna, 60, recalled. “I wasn’t cheering from the rafters because I’m never going to cheer for someone’s demise. I don’t think that’s good karma anyway. But it was good that somebody who had been abusing his power for so many years was called out and held accountable.”

Weinstein has repeatedly and vehemently denied all allegations of wrongdoing.

MADONNA SAYS WOMEN’S MARCH SPEECH QUOTES WERE TAKEN ‘WILDLY OUT OF CONTEXT’

Madge also spoke of an experience she had with President Donald Trump, who she said kept calling to check in on her when she did a photoshoot at his home in Palm Beach, Fla., for a Versace campaign.

“He kept going: ‘Hey, is everything OK? Finding yourself comfortable? Are the beds comfortable? Is everything good? Are you happy?'” she said.

Madonna, who previously claimed that Trump’s presidency was like “being stuck in a nightmare,” was somewhat compassionate about the President, though she claimed he had a “weak character.” She said of his alleged “alpha male” behavior, “They’re overcompensating for how insecure they feel — a man who is secure with himself, a human who is secure with themselves, doesn’t have to go around bullying people all the time.”

LAX terminal being evacuated ‘out of abundance of caution’ to rescreen passengers following power outage

Passengers at the Los Angeles International Airport were asked to exit Terminal 1 on Thursday morning to be rescreened following a power outage that was responsible for stalling travel on Wednesday night.

In an update posted to the airport’s Twitter account shortly after 6 a.m. PST, LAX confirmed the rescreening process, which was said to be taken “out of an abundance of caution.”

“LAX UPDATE: out of an abundance of caution, due to last night’s power disruption, guests this morning in Terminal 1 are being rescreened by TSA. Airport police and TSA are sending additional officers to expedite the screening process.”

The Los Angeles Airport police shared the same statement with Fox News.

LAX had been working to resume normal operation after a power outage, and subsequent power “bump,” had temporarily knocked out electricity at the entire airport.

Electricity was restored to most terminals via emergency backup generators, though Terminals 1, 7 and 8 remained dark for three or more hours, the Associated Press reported.

The outages forced the diversion, delay or cancelation of more than dozens of flights, with 40 of Southwest’s scheduled landings and departures diverted or canceled alone.

Passengers were also briefly stuck on planes while power was restored to electrically powered jet bridges, the AP reported.

Southwest Airlines, which operates out of Terminal 1, has said it expects to resume flying at LAX as of 8 a.m. PST.

“LAX Security is currently emptying the Terminal due to a possible security issue. All passengers will be rescreened,” the statement reads.

“We’ve placed a ground stop on flights in and out of LAX, scheduled to last until 8 a.m. PDT. Once the ground stop is lifted, we will run a metered program to allow for flights to take off and arrive to LAX.”

Pakistan’s military says suspected militants have opened fire on a paramilitary vehicle patrolling in the town of Hernai in southwestern Baluchistan province, killing two troops before fleeing.

In a statement, it said Thursday’s attack targeted troops deployed for security duty during the three-day Islamic holiday of Eid al-Fitr, which began across Pakistan on Wednesday. It said a search has been launched to track the assailants.

No one claimed responsibility but small separatist groups have been blamed for previous such attacks.

Baluchistan province has been the scene of a low-level insurgency by separatists demanding more autonomy and a greater share in the region’s natural resources, such as gas and oil.

The province has also witnessed attacks claimed by Sunni Muslim militants.

Pennsylvania woman, 51, died in similar circumstances as three American tourists at Dominican resort a year ago

The family of a Pennsylvania woman who was vacationing in the Dominican Republic last year says she died in her room at a resort that is part of a popular hotel chain where the deaths of three other U.S. tourists last month are under investigation.

Relatives of Yvette Monique Sport, 51, told Fox29 Philadelphia she was visiting the popular tourist spot last June, and stayed at the Bahia Principe Resort in Punta Cana. They say that Sport had a drink from the mini bar inside her room, later went to bed, and never woke up.

The report of Sport’s death comes on the heels of the known deaths of three U.S. tourists in five days that occurred in their rooms at hotels owned by the Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts group.

Her death certificate listed “heart attack” as the cause.

DOMINICAN RESORT CLAIMS US TOURIST WENT PUBLIC WITH ASSAULT ALLEGATION AFTER IT REFUSED HER DEMAND FOR $2.2 MILLION

“She was 51 years of age, relatively healthy, no reason for her to go on vacation and die so suddenly,” her sister, Felecia Nieves, told FOX 29.

The details of her actions preceding her death are identical to that of Miranda Schaup-Werner of Allentown, Penn., who collapsed and died on May 25 after having a drink from the room mini bar. Five days later, on May 30, another couple, Edward Holmes and Cynthia Day were found dead in their room.

Schaup died at the Luxury Bahia Principe Bouganville, Holmes and Day died at the adjacent Bahia Principe La Romana.

“It makes me question at this point is this cause of death even true,” Nieves said.

Sport was vacationing there with her fiancé, Howard Taltoan, and their friends.

“We were promised within three months that we would receive a toxicology report to this day, which is almost a year now we’ve got nothing,” Nieves said.

“I think the State Department needs to step in and investigate these deaths something is not right,” Taltoan said.

Referring to other deaths at hotels in the same chain, Nieves said: “It makes me question at this point is this cause of death even true?”

The report noted that U.S. federal data show that in 2018, 13 American deaths were reported in the Dominican Republican. It did not include Sport’s death because it was declared by Dominican authorities to have been caused by natural causes.

Putin: No intention to deploy Russian troops in Venezuela

President Vladimir Putin has told reporters that Moscow has no intention to deploy its troops or set up military bases in Venezuela.

He added that Russian experts have been in Venezuela to service Russian-made weapons bought by Caracas.

Putin, who was meeting Thursday with the head of international news agencies, was responding to a question about a tweet by U.S. President Donald Trump earlier this week that said Moscow had informed Washington it had pulled out its personnel from Venezuela.

“We aren’t creating any bases or sending troops there,” Putin said. “But we will be keeping our obligations in the sphere of military and technical cooperation.”

The Russian leader said the U.S. sanctions against Venezuela have hurt ordinary people and warned Washington against using force.
