Thread: News Summary from the Week that Was (13 – 19 October)

Here are this week’s stories that don’t fit the media’s “Republicans bad, Democrats good” narrative. There are a lot of items from which to choose, but these are somewhat off the beaten path but nevertheless important. Once again, I am doing longer quotes of fewer articles this week, as I am still overseas.

1. This is a great way to start the list! This topic is something that Democrats and their paid media are desperate to hide. Have you seen this reported anywhere?

According to the findings of a new Hill-HarrisX poll, a shocking 32 percent of black male voters would prefer to vote for Donald Trump over a generic Democrat opponent in the 2020 presidential election. The Hill reported the data deceptively by claiming that an “overwhelming majority of black voters” would support a Democrat in 2020 over President Trump. The fake news did not mention Trump’s impressive support among black male voters in their report about the poll. While 32 percent of black males support the President against a Democratic challenger, only seven percent of black females would support him over the generic Democrat. The black community may be split on gender lines over Trump, but he has undoubtedly amassed an impressive level of support from the men for a Republican contender.

Read the rest here.  Keep in mind that POTUS has endured 3 years of 98% negative media coverage. Imagine what his numbers would be with even SEMBLANCE of balance from the legacy media!

2. Here’s more evidence that some if not all members of the Democrats’ Star Wars bar scene are insane and should only ever enter the Oval Office on guided tours:

Should it be a crime to knowingly expose someone to HIV without disclosing it? Most sane people would say yes. But a widely panned Vox article published this week said that state laws making it a crime to not disclose your HIV status “have only increased stigma and abuse.” And apparently, many 2020 Democrats agree with this ludicrous, insane point of view. This was a common theme at Thursday night’s CNN town hall focused on gay and transgender issues, sponsored by the Human Rights Campaign. Host Anderson Cooper, for example, called laws criminalizing HIV nondisclosure “antiquated” and based on “old science.” Presidential contender Pete Buttigieg agreed, saying, “It’s not fair and it needs to change.” And both on the CNN stage and in her new LGBT issues platform, Sen. Elizabeth Warren has endorsed decriminalizing HIV transmission as well. Sen. Cory Booker has also signed on to this radicalism, explicitly agreeing that laws requiring disclosure of HIV status to sexual partners are “archaic” and have “no scientific basis,” calling for their complete repeal.

Democrats may be endorsing this irresponsible decriminalization in an attempt to pander to woke gay and transgender activists, yet in reality it’s mostly the gay community that these laws protect in the first place. Putting gay lives at risk appears to be “woke” now, but it’s sure as hell not “progressive” in any meaningful sense of the word.

Read the rest here. I get it; some of these clowns want to return to the years of the HIV epidemic and associated fears. They need to be publicly shamed and discarded like the dirty dish rags they are.

3. Here is a great article that exposes the legacy media’s political bias against POTUS for all the world to see:

Since Donald Trump’s election in 2016, the mainstream media has shed its once-noble mission — the pursuit of the truth — and instead adopted a new purpose: to take down the president. In an excerpt from her new book, “Resistance at All Costs: How Trump Haters are Breaking America,” out Tuesday, KIMBERLEY STRASSEL examines how far the press will go in its relentless crusade . . .

Last week The Washington Post revealed the alarming news that House Democrats were considering having their anonymous “whistleblower” testify from a remote location, and in disguise. Just as shocking as the details of this plan was the justification the Post ladled on this Democratic effort to hide impeachment information from the public. It explained, high up in the story, that the cloak-and-dagger approach was merely Democrats expressing “distrust of their GOP colleagues, whom they see as fully invested in defending a president who has attacked the whistleblower’s credibility and demanded absolute loyalty from Republicans.” This, from a newspaper with a tagline of “Democracy Dies in Darkness.”

Maybe the better journalistic epitaph is: Democracy dies in bias. How did journalism get here? I’ve never engaged much in media criticism, because it’s almost too obvious. Yes, the mainstream media is liberal and biased. But at least in the past, that bias was largely a function of insularity. Most reporters weren’t even fully aware they were prejudiced politically; everyone they worked and socialized with held the same left-of-center views. That’s changed in the age of Trump. The press has embraced its bias, joined the Resistance and declared its allegiance to one side of a partisan war. It now openly declares those who offer any fair defense of this administration as Trump “enablers.” It writes off those who question the FBI or Department of Justice actions in 2016 as “conspiracy” theorists. It acts as willing scribes for Democrats and former Obama officials; peddles evidence-free accusations; sources stories from people with clear political axes to grind; and closes its eyes to clear evidence of government abuse.

Sure, when it comes to the Trump administration, the press rides herd on every issue. But when it has come to former Obama officials (Jim Comey, Andrew McCabe, John Brennan), the media has swallowed everything it is told. It’s hard to explain just how big a dereliction of duty this is. This willingness to cast aside facts in favor of theory is what has fed years of hysterical collusion conspiracy theories. By embracing hypothetics (rather than tracking down facts), the press indulged in endless “connect the dots” exercises. What has defined the media breakdown that started in 2016 was the press’ abandonment of standards in aid of peddling a narrative — rather than reality. For those worried about our increasingly polarized society, the media is feeding that divide.

Read the rest here. The legacy media have abrogated their constitutional responsibility in favor of Democrat partisanship. They are the enemy of the people.

4. More support for POTUS’s decision to pull US special forces off the Turkey-Syrian border keeps rolling in. This one is pretty good:

The hard truth is that the fifty US soldiers along the Syrian-Turkish border were a fake trip wire. Neither Trump nor the US military had any intention of sacrificing US forces to either block a Turkish invasion of Syria or foment deeper US involvement in the event of a Turkish invasion. Here it is critical to note that Trump did not remove US forces from Syria. They are still deployed along the border crossing between Jordan, Iraq and Syria to block Iran from moving forces and materiel to Syria and Lebanon. They are still blocking Russian and Syrian forces from taking over the oil fields along the eastern bank of the Euphrates. Aside from defeating ISIS, these missions are the principle strategic achievements of the US forces in Syria. For now, they are being maintained. Will Turkey’s invasion enable ISIS to reassert itself in Syria and beyond? Perhaps. But here too, as Trump made clear this week, it is not America’s job to serve as the permanent jailor of ISIS.

European forces are just as capable of serving as guards as Americans are. America’s role is not to stay in Syria forever. It is to beat down threats to US and world security as they emerge and then let others – Turks, Kurds, Europeans, Russians, UN peacekeepers – maintain the new, safer status quo. The final assumption of the narrative regarding Trump’s moves in Syria is that by moving its forces away from the border ahead of the Turkish invasion, Trump harmed regional stability and America’s reputation as a trustworthy ally. On the latter issue, Trump has spent the better part of his term in office rebuilding America’s credibility as an ally after Obama effectively abandoned the Sunnis and Israel in favor of Iran.

To the extent that Trump has harmed US credibility, he didn’t do it in Syria this week by rejecting war with Turkey. He did it last month by failing to retaliate militarily against Iran’s brazen military attack on Saudi Arabia’s oil installations. Whereas the US has no commitment to protect the Kurds, the US’s central commitment in the Middle East for the past 70 years has been the protection of Saudi oil installations and maintaining the safety of maritime routes in and around the Persian Gulf.

As for Syria, it is impossible to known what the future holds for the Kurds, the Turks, the Iranians, Assad or anyone else. But what is clear enough is that Trump avoided war with Turkey this week. And he began extracting America from an open-ended commitment to the Kurds it never made and never intended to fulfill.

Read the rest here. In short, he’s on solid ground in his handling of Turkey.

5. Here is confirmation of massive illegal spying on Americans by the FBI.

According to a new declassified ruling from the U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC), FBI personnel systematically abused National Security Agency (NSA) mass surveillance data in both 2017 and 2018. The 138-page ruling, which dates back to October 2018, was only unsealed 12 months later in October 2019. It offers a rare look at how the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has been abusing the constitutional privacy rights of U.S. citizens with alarming regularity. The court ruling is also a stinging rebuke to the FBI’s overreach of its ability to search surveillance intelligence databases.

Simply put, the data was available to search, and the FBI willingly took advantage of every opportunity to query the NSA intelligence database. For example, FBI employees routinely used mass surveillance data to investigate potential witnesses and informants. In 2017 alone, the FBI conducted over 3.1 million searches of surveillance data, compared to just 7,500 combined searches by the CIA and NSA. This is particularly troubling because, under current FBI operating procedures, this surveillance data can only be searched if there is reasonable suspicion of crimes having taken place or clear risks to national security. And, yet, FBI employees and FBI contractors were at times searching the database to see what information they could find on U.S. citizens not at all connected to foreign intelligence matters. In short, the FBI violated Americans’ privacy by abusing access to NSA surveillance data with warrantless searches.

Read the rest here. All the leftist-oriented civil libertarians used to be up in arms about “Big Brother,” but not in the Age of Trump.

6. The Trump Doctrine is explained here, and the Uniparty globalists don’t like it!

What our betters – those same smug geniuses who brought us Iraq, let NATO deadbeats string us along, and who let Mexico and China exploit us – truly hate is the fact that the American people stood up in 2016 and demanded that our foreign policy stop sucking. Americans are sick of always getting handed the bill for some lame ruling caste priority, whether it’s paying for the privilege of defending Europe on behalf of ungrateful continentals or funding the weird climate religion or letting China get rich off of gutting our industries. Mostly, we are sick of shipping our magnificent warriors off to die in ill-conceived, poorly-planned, ineptly-executed wars where we ended up shedding our boys’ (and girls’) blood refereeing fights that go back a dozen centuries. The coastal elite gets to bask in the radiance of its own moral superiority for deploying young people in camo from Nebraska farms and Texas towns, and we get to hold the funerals.

America First is a commonsense response to decades of America Last. It’s a repudiation of those who get elected by Americans to protect and promote American interests yet think of themselves as “Global Citizens.”

[T]he Trump Doctrine – the notion that American power should be directed toward serving the interests of the American people – is a coherent foreign policy vision of the kind we have not had in the United States for decades. In the hands of Secretary Pompeo and other believers (as opposed to the Deep State moles in the foreign policy bureaucracy), the Trump Doctrine means an on-going re-ordering of our foreign relations priority toward the only proper priority – American interests.  You see that when Donald Trump wields US economic power by imposing tariffs (Oh, summon the smelling salts!) on China to finally force it into an equal relationship with the United States. This horrifies those who are quite willing to put up with the PRC’s trade malfeasance because it lines their pockets, or because taking the side of US workers is just too hard, or because zombie Milton Freidman would be sad. But mostly you see it when the President avoids new wars no matter how hard the smart set demands he create his own quagmire. Iran has been ham-handedly trying to provoke a fight by poking our allies. Trump won’t bite. He sees the trap. And in Syria, he is keeping his promise to leave. There’s always a good reason for going into these conflicts (ISIS is bad), and there’s always a good reason to stay (Many Kurds are fine people). But there are better reasons to pack up and leave.

The American people, at least those who aren’t in DC or the media, understand that every problem around the world is not our problem. If you’re one of those Citizens of the World, then feel free to enlist in the Army of the World. Just count us out of your bloody altruism.

Read the rest here. Amen! No more open-ended expeditions without precise mission success criteria, rules of engagement, and exit criteria.

7. Democrat senators dipping their beaks into Ukrainian cash! Could Ukraine end the Democrat Party as we know it?

Joe Biden hit back at allegations over his son, Hunter, saying there was nothing corrupt about the firing of that Ukrainian prosecutor. But that is a total dodge. The real scandal is not about the firing of the damn prosecutor!! — it’s about U.S. cash for Ukraine gas. It involves not just the Bidens, but former Secretary of State John Kerry and a growing number of Democratic senators as our special investigation will reveal. These credible allegations of corruption must be investigated. Of course, President Trump is right to pursue them with Attorney General Barr, and yes, with the leader of the country where the alleged corruption took place.

How can you investigate U.S. cash for Ukraine gas without involving Ukraine? Remember Devon Archer, Hunter Biden’s business partner? He had previously been a top fundraiser for John Kerry, who was Secretary of State at the time. And soon after Devon and Hunter joined the Burisma Board, the company channeled $90,000 to a lobbying firm called ML Strategies, which was headed by none other than David Leiter, John Kerry’s former chief of staff.

That’s handy because then-Secretary of State John Kerry himself has visited Ukraine with promises of U.S. aid and assistance. Well, Leiter registered as a Burisma lobbyist in mid-2014. But in the year leading up to that, he gave close to $60,000 to Democrats, including a select group of U.S. senators who would later be instrumental in pushing cash towards Ukraine’s energy sector, directly in line with Burisma’s interests. He donated to Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., four times and to Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., three times. A month after the last of those donations, both Markey and Shaheen were among four senators who wrote a letter to President Obama that said, “We should leverage the full resources and expertise of the U.S. government to assist Ukraine in improving its energy efficiency, increasing its domestic production and reforming its energy markets.” Sen. Ed Markey was the Senate sponsor of the Green New Deal! He wants to shut down gas production in America. Yet he personally intervened with the Obama administration to send your tax dollars to boost Ukraine’s gas production. And not just once. Not only did he write that letter to Obama, but he sponsored multiple pieces of legislation that called for more U.S. assistance and aid specifically to help Ukraine’s natural gas sector, including one that “directs the Overseas Private Investment Corporation to prioritize support for investments to increase energy efficiency, developed domestic oil and natural gas reserves and develop renewable energy sources in Ukraine.”

This is a massive scandal. U.S. cash for Ukraine gas. Sen. Ed Markey, Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, Sen. Richard Blumenthal, John Kerry, David Leiter, Devon Archer, Hunter Biden —  and yes, Joe Biden, who was literally presiding over all of this as it was going on — of course, it should all be investigated.

Read the rest here. This article partially explains why the Democrats are apoplectic about trying to impeach the president under false premises, as they can’t survive complete exposure of their corruption in Ukraine. The Obamas and the Clintons are hip-deep in it, too.

8. Here’s a really uplifting article to finish off the week! No way in hell will this ever be discussed on CNN, MSNBC, or the network news casts.

Donald Trump may be on the path to a landslide re-election win in 2020. Each of the three election models used by Moody’s Analytics to forecast the 2020 election indicates that Donald Trump will likely win the presidential contest. Under two of the models, Trump is forecast to win with more than the 304 electoral college votes he garnered in 2016. Moody’s election forecasts have been very reliable in the past, correctly predicting every election result except 2016. The model under-counted support for Trump because it did not anticipate the increase in voter turnout that shifted the majority vote in crucial states.

Importantly, Moody’s models all predict Trump wins even if the economy dips to multiyear lows by the end of 2020 and the stock market crashes 9 percent. In other words, Trump is expected to win despite a falling stock market and a sagging economy. Moody’s “pocketbook” model looks at three variables: gasoline prices, home prices, and changes in real personal income. Voters tend to see higher gasoline prices as negative, higher home prices, and incomes as positive. Moody’s uses its economic models to predict how these variables will perform in the months leading up to the election.

Turnout could play a big role in the election. If turnout by Democrats and independents voting against Trump is low to average, Trump easily wins under the models. If it climbs to the historical maximum, Trump would lose under the stock market and unemployment models but still win in the pocketbook model.

Read the rest here. No time to get complacent, folks! Gotta stir up your family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues to vote red in 2020 because the future of the Republic depends on it.

Here are the honorable mentions this week:

Here is the short summary of this week’s articles:

  • A poll reports that 32% of black male Americans support President Trump. Trouble for Democrats!
  • Some members of the Democrats’ Star Wars bar scene want to rescind the requirement by HIV-positive people to notify others of their potential exposure to HIV.
  • A great article excerpted from a new book continues to expose the legacy media’s bias against POTUS.
  • Next was some excellent rationale for POTUS’s decision to pull special forces troops off the Turkish-Syrian border.
  • The FBI has been illegally spying BIGLY on unsuspecting Americans. In 2017 alone, the FBI conducted over 3.1 million searches of surveillance data, compared to just 7,500 combined searches by the CIA and NSA.
  • The Trump Doctrine was explained to the consternation of Uniparty globalists and other assorted eternal war supporters.
  • Well, well, well: some Democrat senators were caught dipping their hands into the Ukraine cookie jar, too.
  • Finally, Moody Analytics’ predictions for the 2020 presidential race must have given Democrats a severe case of heartburn. Good!

As usual, there are many other important topics that were being covered in various forms and fashions. There’s a lot happening, including Kurt Volker’s closed-door testimony that destroys the Democrats’ Ukraine narrative. There are many more revelations on the Spygate, FISA abuse, and Ukraine fronts still to go! Who can predict what the next major revelation will be? One thing for sure: there is continuing desperation among cabal members as can be discerned from their continuing public pronunciations (a/k/a hysterical claims). Stay tuned for more!

The end.

Durham to Interview James Clapper and John Brennan as he Expands Investigation; Brennan Wonders Why

CIA Director John Brennan testifies on Capitol Hill in Washington, Thursday, June 16, 2016, before the Senate Intelligence Committee hearing on the Islamic State. Brennan said that the Islamic State remains “formidable” and “resilient,” is training and attempting to deploy operatives for further attacks on the West and will rely more on guerrilla-style tactics to compensate for its territorial losses in the Middle East. (AP Photo/J. Scott Applewhite)

NBC News reported that Attorney General William Barr and Prosecutor John Durham have expanded their examination of the origins of the Trump/Russia investigation. Durham has increased the size of his staff and has pushed out his timeframe.

Durham will be interviewing former CIA Director John Brennan and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper along with other current and former intelligence community officials. According to NBC:

Durham has also requested to talk to CIA analysts involved in the intelligence assessment of Russia’s activities, prompting some of them to hire lawyers, according to three former CIA officials familiar with the matter. And there is tension between the CIA and the Justice Department over what classified documents Durham can examine, two people familiar with the matter said.

With Barr’s approval, Durham has expanded his staff and the timeframe under scrutiny, according to a law enforcement official directly familiar with the matter. And he is now looking into conduct past Donald Trump’s inauguration in January 2017, a Trump administration official said.

Although the probe did not begin as a criminal investigation, Justice Department officials won’t comment on whether it has morphed into one.

John Brennan told NBC that Durham’s investigation is “bizarre” and said, “I don’t know what the legal basis for this is.” He doesn’t? Let me refresh his memory.

Brennan’s obsessive fear that Donald Trump might win the presidency may have instigated the whole collusion narrative. He didn’t have to twist many arms to bring others on board, but his exhaustive search for “dirt” on Trump and his insistence that the FBI open a counterintelligence investigation was key.

I’ll never forget writer George Neumayr’s (The American Spectator) description of Brennan’s CIA. He wrote it April 2018, but it was so spot on, I remember it today. He wrote, “John Brennan’s CIA operated like a branch office of the Hillary campaign.” Neumayr called the Trump/Russia investigation “the probe from nowhere to nowhere, undertaken simply to satisfy the partisan hunches of John Brennan and other Trump haters in the Obama administration.”

Neumayr wrote that, based upon Brennan’s testimony and his leaks, he started pushing the FBI to open an investigation in the spring of 2016. He would present the FBI with what he called evidence and that Brennan would “shake down” foreign intelligence officials looking for anything to hang on Trump. He would then present the information to Peter Strzok and other government officials. Strzok, as much as he hated Trump, famously told his paramour, Lisa Page, that “there’s no there there.”

Brennan was receiving most of his “intelligence” from British spy Christopher Steele. Neumayr explains:

Brennan’s alleged intelligence from the British on Trump-Russia collusion was just laundered Steele opposition research for Hillary (Steele had been feeding his work to British spies, who contacted Brennan). At the center of almost all the streams of phony intelligence flowing into the FBI was Steele. Through his relationship with the FBI, he served as a direct stream of bad intelligence. Through foreign intelligence agencies, he became an indirect stream of bad intelligence (with anything he gave those agencies re-routed to the FBI through Brennan). He also served as a conduit for opposition research from Hillary partisans at or connected to the State Department (Cody Shearer, a Hillary hatchet man, passed his opposition research through John Kerry aide Jonathan Winer to Steele, who then fed it back to the FBI).

This is similar to the FBI’s use of reporter Michael Isikoff’s Yahoo News article to corroborate Christopher Steele’s dossier when, in fact, Steele was the source of Isikoff’s story.

Brennan leaked news of his “probe” to then-Senator Harry Reid, who told reporters Brennan had an “ulterior motive” for doing so. Reid said, “The very thought of Donald Trump as president made Brennan see red and caused him to lose all judgment.” But, regardless of what Reid believed, he wrote an open letter anyway to James Comey on August 27, 2016 about the Trump-Russian collusion he had just been made privy to and then the world knew about it.

The FBI knew they could not start an investigation based on the rubbish that Brennan was presenting to them. They needed to find a reason. When Australian diplomat, Alexander Downer, had drinks in a London bar with low level Trump advisor George Papadopoulos, who told Downer that he had been approached by a Russian who offered to provide “dirt” on Hillary Clinton, that became a talking point for the FBI. However, according to Devin Nunes, that incident was not mentioned in the Electronic Communication (EC) that originated the counter intelligence investigation.

Nunes and several other Congressmen were allowed to view the document after threatening contempt of Congress charges and possible impeachment votes. The DOJ and the FBI went to great lengths to keep the American people from learning that there was no original intelligence to support the case for collusion. None.

That should have ended the investigation, but of course it didn’t.

Now we have Obama’s DOJ, FBI and CIA, and it looks like they had a little help from the State Department, all colluding to influence the outcome of a presidential election. It’s hardly a stretch of the imagination to believe that Obama knew what was happening.

So, this whole narrative gained momentum as more and more Obama officials and Hillary supporters heard about it and hopped on the bandwagon. The lies were repeated so often, they took on a life of their own and anti-Trumpers began to believe them because they wanted them to be true.

It’s hard to deny that if Brennan hadn’t pressured the FBI, through Peter Strzok who served as the liaison between the CIA and the FBI, and through Harry Reid and others, there would likely be no Trump/Russia collusion investigation. But this was not his only egregious offense.

He was caught in numerous lies during his years in the Obama administration. In 2014, a Senate committee was investigating the CIA’s role in torturing detainees. Brennan lied repeatedly saying “that the CIA had not illegally accessed the computers of U.S. Senate staffers.” The CIA had done so indeed, and when the Inspector General’s report came out, he was forced to apologize.

In sworn testimony before Congress in 2011, he said that Obama’s drone policy had not killed a single civilian noncombatant when, in fact, many noncombatants had been killed.

He has abused his power on many occasions by “leaking” information about everything from the underwear bomber to Stuxnet. In 2012, an asset had to be extracted from Yemen because one of Brennan’s leaks had placed him in grave danger.

These are only a few of many examples that demonstrate Brennan’s long history of poor judgement. He has always played it fast and loose with the truth. Only when he is confronted with irrefutable evidence will he admit wrongdoing.

This is the hangover from the Obama era. It will one day become the legacy of the Obama era. America’s most highly respected and influential institutions were politicized and were used to do Obama’s – and Hillary Clinton’s – bidding. Officials at the highest levels of the DOJ, the FBI, the CIA and possibly the State Department, abused their powers to fabricate a case against Donald Trump because they wanted to marginalize him. Unfortunately for them, Hillary lost the race and America is slowly learning the truth.

Did that jog your memory at all, Mr. Brennan?

Alan Dershowitz BLASTS The Democrats Impeachment Theory

Occasionally you can come across someone who is a traditional liberal that you might not agree on social constructs with but does stay consistent on issues like impeachment. Professor Alan Dershowitz is one of these people in my opinion.

Dershowitz has been on occasion one of Donald Trump’s defenders in the media. He was one of the voices saying slow down on the rush to condemn on the Russia probe. His overall point was that even those that were on Trump’s orbit at one point were indicted on things, none of the indictments ever involved the reason for the investigation. Prof. Dershowitz was right on that.

He also opposed impeaching Bill Clinton in 1998 on the evidence the Congress had than.

Now he is urging caution on the Democrats rushing to impeach based on what we have seen publicly so far.

Just as a refresher, Alan Dershowitz is a lifelong Democrat and voted for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election.

In an opinion piece, Dershowitz wrote for The Hill

Many Democrats, including some constitutional law professors, now argue that President Trump can be impeached without evidence of high criminal acts. Some took the opposite view when President Clinton was being impeached. Hypocrisy aside, there are good historical reasons why the impeachment approach of the Democrats is wrong.

During the debates over the impeachment provisions of the Constitution, two differing views of our structure of government were presented. Some Framers argued that a president should be subject to removal by the legislature if he engaged in malfeasance of office or other comparable noncriminal misconduct. The other Framers took the view that giving the legislature such broad authority to remove a president would turn our country into the kind of parliamentary democracy that existed in England, rather than a republic with a strong executive branch.

That is why every advocate of impeachment should pass the “shoe on the other foot” test. Would you support impeachment against a president of your own party if she or he were accused of this conduct? Unless the answer to that question is yes, it would be unprincipled to engage in this process of impeachment taking place on Capitol Hill.

The very notion that with what has been released so far is enough to impeach is nonsensical. Dershowitz in the article correctly points out impeachment is a political process, not necessarily a legal one and should be taken up very carefully. That the Democrats running for President have all called for Trump’s impeachment is incredibly amusing in light of the “shoe on the other foot” theory.

Would any of them want such an incredibly low threshold to get impeached if they held the job?

Possibly the Democrats in their secret hearings that they refuse to let the public see will come across something that will convince America Trump has to be removed before the 2020 election. So far, they are being tight-lipped about what has been said in these hearings which leads me to believe they don’t have much and Adam Schiff once again sold Nancy Pelosi down the river.

I’m not going to hold my breath though that they find the silver bullet and Speaker Pelosi should look at getting better friends in Congress.

Durham Has Mifsud’s Blackberrys And Flynn Attorney Wants The Data

Westlake Legal Group John_Durham_crop-620x829 Durham Has Mifsud’s Blackberrys And Flynn Attorney Wants The Data spies Russia Collusion Investigation Russia Mifsud Front Page Stories flynn Featured Story Durham donald trump democrats corruption collusion Abuse of Power

A new twist in the investigation of the origins of the Russia probe came Monday from one of retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn’s attorneys when she disclosed in a court motion the existence of two Blackberry phones used by Joseph Mifsud that were tied to Western intelligence.

On Thursday, that same attorney, Sidney Powell, confirmed to the Washington Times, that the Blackberrys lie in the hands of U.S. Attorney John Durham — AG Barr’s pick to investigate the Russia probe origins.

Powell seems to be seeking the Blackberrys as exculpatory evidence in Flynn’s case, showing that the government withheld such evidence early on in violation of a judge’s demand.

Ms. Powell has added to the Mifsud intrigue with her motion before District Court Judge Emmet G. Sullivan asking him to order the government to turn over the BlackBerrys’ data. The filing lists the two phones’ model number, PIN and SIM card information.

She told the judge that on Oct. 11 she asked the prosecution for phone data. She was ignored until she sent notification days later that she planned to file the discovery motion.

The motion says: “Michael T. Flynn requests the government be ordered to produce evidence that has only recently come into its possession……… This information is material, exculpatory, and relevant to the defense of Mr. Flynn, and specifically to the “OCONUS LURES” and agents that western intelligence tasked against him likely as early as 2014 to arrange—unbeknownst to him—‘connections’ with certain Russians that they would then use against him in their false claims. The phones were used by Mr. Joseph Mifsud.”

“OCONUS LURES” is an FBI acronym for an operation to lure a person back to the U.S.

Mifsud, a Maltese professor who reportedly told Trump advisor George Papadopoulos that the Russians were in possession of Hillary Clinton’s emails, was thought to have possibly been visited by Durham and Barr recently in Rome, Italy, where he was a professor. The FBI has accused Mifsud of being a Russian asset. Papadopoulos, however, contends the professor was a Western asset whose goal was to trap him with information about Clinton’s emails, which ultimately reached the FBI and is the ostensible reason for the opening of the Russian collusion investigation.

Reacting to the BlackBerry disclosure, Mr. Papadopoulos tweeted: “I lived this spy story. The government’s of the UK, Australia, Italy sent their agents: Mifsud, Downer, Halper, Azra Turk and many more. With the new info on Mifsud’s phones with the DOJ, my story was the one that exposed the greatest spying scandal in history. Downer is next!”

Alexander Downer was the Australian ambassador in London to whom Mr. Papadopoulos relayed the Mifsud gossip. Mr. Downer denies he was a spy. Stephan Halper and Azar Turk were FBI/western intelligence spies assigned to Mr. Papadopoulos in London.

The request for the data contained on the Blackberrys is a possible link between the investigation into the origins of the Russia probe and the Flynn appeal. Flynn, who was the Obama administration’s head of the Pentagon’s Defense Intelligence Agency until forced to retire retire over differences related to fighting Islamic extremists, pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI regarding conversations with the Russian ambassador when he served as Trump’s national security advisor early in 2017.

In March, I wrote a post in which I asked, “What is the connection between James Clapper, Victor Pinchuk, and the chief technology officer of CrowdStrike, which was the only company the DNC allowed to access their server?” This post jumped into my head the moment I saw a Breitbart article reporting that one of Adam Schiff’s staffers had met with diplomat William Taylor on a trip to Ukraine which was organized by The Atlantic Council. I had written:

Ukrainian billionaire and longtime contributor to the Clinton Foundation Victor Pinchuk, was doing his best to promote a Clinton victory. Pinchuk serves on the International Advisory Board of a Washington-based think tank called the Atlantic Council. This group is “connected to Ukrainian interests through its “Ukraine in Europe Initiative,” which is designed to galvanize international support for an independent Ukraine within secure borders whose people will determine their own future.”

Also serving on the International Advisory Board of the Atlantic Council is James Clapper, who served as Obama’s Director of National Intelligence.

Funnily enough, [Dan] Bongino discovered that the Chief Technology Officer of “the only company that investigated the hacking of the DNC’s servers and quickly determined it was the Russians, is a nonresident senior fellow in cybersecurity” at the Atlantic Council. His name is Dmitri Alperovitch.

Please keep this in mind as you read this post.

The Atlantic Council is a super liberal think-tank which receives much of its funding from Burisma Holdings, the Ukrainian natural gas company where Hunter Biden had served as a board member.

Breitbart’s Aaron Klein obtained a copy of travel documents which showed that, twelve days after the “whistleblower” submitted his complaint to the Intelligence Community Inspector General, one of House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff’s staffers, Thomas Eager, held a meeting with acting U.S. ambassador (or Charge d’Affaires) to Ukraine William Taylor. The two were on a trip to Ukraine which had been organized by The Atlantic Council. It was “billed as a bipartisan Ukraine Study Trip in which ten Congressional staffers participated.”

Eager is a member of The Atlantic Council and Taylor has a “close relationship” with the organization as well.

Klein writes that Schiff’s office has refused to respond to any of Breitbart’s questions or comment requests. Specifically, Breitbart had asked, “While in Ukraine, did Mr. Eager speak to Mr. Taylor about the issue of reports about any representatives of President Trump looking into alleged Biden corruption in Ukraine?”

The trip took place between August 24 and August 31. The “whistleblower” filed his complaint on August 12. Last week, we learned that Schiff had lied when he told MSNBC on September 17, “We have not spoken directly with the whistleblower. We would like to.” Via the New York Times, we found out that one of Schiff’s staffers had been approached by the whistleblower before he filed his complaint and shared this information with Schiff.

Following is one of the text message exchanges between Taylor and U.S. ambassador to the EU Gordon Sondland. It shows Taylor’s obvious bias against President Trump, so naturally Schiff has made him a key witness in his impeachment inquiry over Trump’s July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Taylor is scheduled to provide a deposition next week.

NBC News’ reported that Taylor will be “represented during the deposition by attorney John Bellinger, a prominent “Never Trump” Republican who served in the George W. Bush administration.”

Here is one of the exchanges. (Via NPR)

On September 9th, Taylor wrote: “I think it’s crazy to withhold security assistance for help with a political campaign.”

Sondland responds: “Bill, I believe you are incorrect about President Trump’s intentions. The President has been crystal clear no quid pro quo’s of any kind.”

Sondland adds, “I suggest we stop the back and forth by text.”)

To give you an idea of how deeply involved, and therefore how “anti-Trump” Taylor is, I am including the details from Klein’s article. He does go into the weeds, but it explains how interconnected, almost incestuous, all of these players are. I recommend at least a quick scan of his findings.

When we see how extensive the network’s tentacles go, we begin to understand how they were able to carry out their plot against President Trump and to avoid detection for so long. All of the actors cover for and facilitate each other. We also realize that Ukraine has been the common denominator for a large part of the conspiracy to take down the Trump administration.

Former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, whose prepared opening statement to the House Democrats’ impeachment inquiry team was leaked to the press last week, said she was recalled based on “unfounded and false claims.” I found a major lie in her testimony. She had written, “As Mr. Lutsenko, the former Ukrainian Prosecutor General has recently acknowledged, the notion that I created or disseminated a “do not prosecute” list is completely false—a story that Mr. Lutsenko, himself, has since retracted.” The reality is that Lutsenko has done no such thing. I posted about this here. And you can bet this was not her only lie. She is likely up to her eyeballs in wrongdoing.

The left has perpetrated such a major fraud which has involved so many, I don’t see how it could not leave a paper trail. The bigger an operation becomes, the more difficult it is to contain. Each additional participant adds to the risk of exposure. And in an operation as vast and far-reaching as this one, someone is going to slip up.

I have confidence that Attorney General William Barr and U.S. Attorney John Durham have already found or will find the evidence necessary to blow this giant ambush of the U.S. President wide open.

Details: VIA Breitbart

Taylor and The Atlantic Council

Taylor has authored numerous analysis pieces published by the Atlantic Council.

In March, three months before he became Trump’s ambassador to Ukraine, the Atlantic Council featured an oped co-authored by Taylor in which the diplomat argued Ukraine “has further to travel toward its self-proclaimed European goal” of reformation.

In 2017, Taylor wrote a piece for the Council about a Ukrainian parliament vote on health care reform.

In November 2011, the Atlantic Council hosted Taylor as the featured speaker at a discussion event when he was appointed that year as Special Coordinator for Middle East Transitions at the State Department.

When he deployed to Ukraine as Trump’s ambassador in June, the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC), which has co-hosted events with the Atlantic Council, authored a piece in the Kyiv Post welcoming him.

Taylor for the last nine years served as a senior adviser to the USUBC.

The USUBC’s piece noted that the “USUBC has worked closely with Ambassador Taylor for many years,” touting his role as the business group’s senior adviser.

On June 26, just nine days after arriving in Ukraine as ambassador, the USUBC already hosted Taylor for a roundtable discussion about his new position.

Vadym Pozharskyi, adviser to the board of directors at Burisma Holdings, was also previously hosted as a USUBC featured speaker.

A USUBC senior adviser is David J. Kramer, a long-time adviser to late Senator John McCain, who served at the McCain Institute for International Leadership as senior director for human rights and democracy. Kramer played a central role in disseminating the anti-Trump dossier.

In the USUBC piece welcoming Taylor to Ukraine, Kramer himself commented about Taylor’s ambassador position.

“He’s a great choice for now,” Kramer gushed.

Geysha Gonzalez is the sponsoring Atlantic Council officer listed on the Congressional disclosure form for Schiff staffer Eager’s trip to Ukraine. She is deputy director of the Atlantic Council’s Eurasia Center.

Gonzalez is also one of eleven members of the rapid response team for the Ukrainian Election Task Force, which says it is working to expose “foreign interference in Ukraine’s democracy.”

Another member of the team is Kramer.

Kramer revealed in testimony that he held a meeting about the anti-Trump dossier with a reporter from BuzzFeed News, who he says snapped photos of the controversial document without Kramer’s permission when he left the room to go to the bathroom. That meeting was held at the McCain Institute office in Washington, Kramer stated.

BuzzFeed infamously published the Christopher Steele dossier on January 10, 2017, setting off a firestorm of news media coverage about the document.

The Washington Post reported last February that Kramer received the dossier directly from Fusion GPS after McCain expressed interest in it.

In a deposition taken on December 13, 2017, and posted online earlier this year, Kramer revealed that he met with two Obama administration officials to inquire about whether the anti-Trump dossier was being taken seriously.

In one case, Kramer said that he personally provided a copy of the dossier to Obama National Security Council official Celeste Wallander.

In the deposition, Kramer said that McCain specifically asked him in early December 2016 to meet about the dossier with Wallander and Victoria Nuland, a senior official in John Kerry’s State Department.

Schiff signed form

Schiff’s signature appears on the required post-travel disclosure form filed with the House Committee on Ethics documenting the visit to Ukraine. The form signed by Schiff says that Eager’s trip to Ukraine was paid for by the “Atlantic Council’s Eurasia Center.”

The form bearing Schiff’s signature (above) describes the visit thusly:

Series of meetings and visits with gov’t officials, party officials, civil society and private sector reps in Ukraine to learn about ongoing political and military issues, including conflict in the East.

The costs for Eager’s visit listed on the form are $2202.91 for transportation, $985.50 for lodging, and $630.15 for meal expenses.

Speaking to Breitbart News, Gonzalez confirmed that Eager started his one-year fellowship with the organization in January and that Eager is still a fellow.

Gonzalez said the pre-planned trip was part of the fellowship program, which also includes a full year of round tables and other educational events. She said it was not within her portfolio to comment on issues of funding from Burisma or other donors.

Burisma and Atlantic Council

Besides funding the Atlantic Council, Burisma also routinely partners with the think tank.

Only four months ago, the company co-hosted the Council’s second Annual Kharkiv Security Conference.

Burisma further co-hosted a U.S.-Ukraine Business Council event with the Council last year in Washington, DC. David Kramer of the dossier episode is a senior adviser to the Business Council.

Burisma and the Atlantic Council also signed a cooperative agreement to develop transatlantic programs with Burisma’s financial support, reportedly to focus “on European and international energy security.”

Burisma advertises that it committed itself to “15 key principles of rule of law and economic policy in Ukraine developed by the Atlantic Council.”

Common funding themes

Besides Burisma funding, the Atlantic Council is also financed by billionaire activist George Soros’s Open Society Foundations, Google, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, Inc., and the U.S. State Department.

Google, Soros’s Open Society Foundations, the Rockefeller Fund, and an agency of the State Department each also finance a self-described investigative journalism organization repeatedly referenced as a source of information in the so-called “whistleblower’s” complaint alleging Trump was “using the power of his office to solicit interference from a foreign country” in the 2020 presidential race.

The charges in the July 22 report referenced in the “whistleblower’s” document and released by the Google and Soros-funded organization, the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), seem to be the public precursors for a lot of the so-called “whistleblower’s” own claims, as Breitbart News documented.

One key section of the so-called “whistleblower’s” document claims that “multiple U.S. officials told me that Mr. Giuliani had reportedly privately reached out to a variety of other Zelensky advisers, including Chief of Staff Andriy Bohdan and Acting Chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine Ivan Bakanov.”

This was allegedly to follow up on Trump’s call with Zelensky in order to discuss the “cases” mentioned in that call, according to the so-called “whistleblower’s” narrative. The complainer was clearly referencing Trump’s request for Ukraine to investigate the Biden corruption allegations.

Even though the statement was written in first person – “multiple U.S. officials told me” – it contains a footnote referencing a report by the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP).

That footnote reads:

In a report published by the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) on 22 July, two associates of Mr. Giuliani reportedly traveled to Kyiv in May 2019 and met with Mr. Bakanov and another close Zelensky adviser, Mr. Serhiy Shefir.

The so-called “whistleblower’s” account goes on to rely upon that same OCCRP report on three more occasions. It does so to:

Write that Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko “also stated that he wished to communicate directly with Attorney General Barr on these matters.”

Document that Trump adviser Rudy Giuliani “had spoken in late 2018 to former Prosecutor General Shokin, in a Skype call arranged by two associates of Mr. Giuliani.”

Bolster the charge that, “I also learned from a U.S. official that ‘associates’ of Mr. Giuliani were trying to make contact with the incoming Zelenskyy team.” The so-called “whistleblower” then relates in another footnote, “I do not know whether these associates of Mr. Giuliani were the same individuals named in the 22 July report by OCCRP, referenced above.”

The OCCRP report repeatedly referenced is actually a “joint investigation by the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) and BuzzFeed News, based on interviews and court and business records in the United States and Ukraine.”

BuzzFeed infamously also first published the full anti-Trump dossier alleging unsubstantiated collusion between Trump’s presidential campaign and Russia. The dossier was paid for by Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee, and was produced by the Fusion GPS opposition dirt outfit.

The OCCRP and BuzzFeed “joint investigation” resulted in both OCCRP and BuzzFeed publishing similar lengthy pieces on July 22 claiming that Giuliani was attempting to use connections to have Ukraine investigate Trump’s political rivals.

The so-called “whistleblower’s” document, however, only mentions the largely unknown OCCRP and does not reference BuzzFeed, which has faced scrutiny over its reporting on the Russia collusion claims.

This was predictable in so far as it being a certainty that Fusion GPS and it’s dishonest, partisan founders were not going to take the IG report being released lying down.

With that in mind, they’ve now announced a coming book focused on the infamous Steele dossier. I mean, who better to gaslight the country on the Steele dossier than the people who created the garbage dumpster of a document.

This was no doubt being held back, waiting to be dropped as an announcement right before the IG report was set to come out. That way they can muddy the waters even further and allow the media to say “well, we will get the real story soon.”

Jeffrey Toobin is CNN’s conspiracy minded, crackpot “legal analyst,” so it’s not shocking he’s ready to put his stamp of approval on what is a book certain to be filled with yet more nonsense and misinformation.

There was a past point in our discourse when people like Glenn Simpson and his outfit would be laughed off the public stage based on how bad a failure their cardinal document was. Instead, they are still treated like serious people. Worse, they run a talking points factory which still gives “journalists” (via email lists) information daily on how to attack Trump and spin the Russia matter.

The Steele dossier’s relevancy is no longer in question. Every single salacious claim in that piece of trash has been discredited or left unproven. The only things “verified” were public data anyway. Yes, certain people traveled to Russia. Congrats on deducing what a 12 year old with an internet connection could have. What wasn’t true was basically anything that painted a picture of nefarious Russian collusion, peeing on mattresses, and Cohen being in Prague.

It would seem rather important that the most important aspects of their claims were complete crap. Unfortunately, we have a media complex which is obsessed with opposing Donald Trump, so they’ll absolutely fluff this book, not critically judge it, and accept Fusion GPS’s talking points and excuses wholesale.

The truth is already out there though. The Fusion GPS founders shouldn’t be writing books. They should be in jail.

(AP Photo/Nick Wass, File)

President Trump asked “Where Is Hunter?” and now we know. He just stepped down from his cool board job with a Chinese equity firm.

According to Bloomberg

Hunter Biden is stepping down from the board of a Chinese-backed private equity company and promising to forego all foreign work if his father, former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, is elected president in 2020.

After months of keeping a relatively low-profile as President Donald Trump leveled a barrage of unsubstantiated accusations of corruption at him, the younger Biden is publicly vowing to avoid any conflict of interest.

According to a statement released on his behalf by his lawyer George Mesires, Biden said he’ll resign at the end of the month from the management company of a private equity fund that’s backed by Chinese state-owned entities. He also pledged that he wouldn’t work for any foreign-owned companies or serve on their boards during a potential Biden administration. He reiterated that he never discussed his business activities with his father.

Trump has been teeing off on Hunter and his business dealings with great success. If you have noticed the rivals for the Democratic nomination have been whimpering support for Biden while snickering in the background as Trump does their work for them.

Even for those that want to look at the bright side of things. Hunter Biden has absolutely been able to capitalize on his father’s political position. He was not the first but also not the last. Just the appearance of him having no experience and getting gigs on both Ukraine and Chinese companies scream of impropriety.

Is it fair? Probably not.

Has it been fair when the Trump kids have had the same done to them? Probably not.

Here is where my friends that are #NeverTrump seem to skip or be appalled at.

The Democrats have done this stuff for years. Stern editorials were written at the Weekly Standard and National Review on the practice of Democrats doing these things, yet it continued on. Candidates for all sorts of office on the left could virtually say that Republicans are trying to kill grandma and make sure you starve to death in old age. Talking heads would go on news shows and say how outrageous it was and the practice continued.

Trump has broken all the old rules and this is the clearest example of that.

He went DIRECTLY at Joe Bidens son.

He accused the Bidens of some shady dealings ( While there is no proof you sure as hell can make the case it looks shady) and he made it stick. While others in politics would have had their surrogates go out and do the dirty work, Trump says hold my non-alcoholic beer and goes and does it himself.

That is why his most ardent supporters love him.

Trump has probably wounded Biden so badly with this that even if Joe survives the primary he will be badly damaged for the general election. So if Biden does not make it Trump faces a weaker candidate nationally. If Joe does make it he gets to tee off on him 3 times on national stages for Presidential debates.

Either way with the rule book being re-written by Trump since he came down those escalators in 2015, the way that national politics is done has been forever changed.

Get used to it.

Beto vs Booker, Who Will Drop Out First After Religious Bigotry Statements?

Westlake Legal Group Freedom-of-religion-stand-up-300x164 Beto vs Booker, Who Will Drop Out First After Religious Bigotry Statements? white house washington D.C. What a week in truly finding out where some of the Democrats running for President feel about the separation of Church and State.

The topic of the Beto Bomb that was dropped in a CNN forum has been covered extensively all over the interwebs by others and right here at Red State by Bonchie and Joe Cunningham.

However, something that did not garner much attention was that Sen. Corey Booker from New Jersey essentially said the same thing. He just didn’t go all SPARTACUS about it.

The Catholic News Agency picks it up…

On Thursday night, during and Equality Townhall hosted and broadcast on CNN, Robert Francis O’Rourke, a former congressman, was asked by CNN anchor Don Lemon if he thought that “religious institutions like colleges, churches, charities, should they lose their tax exempt status if they oppose same sex marriage?”

O’Rourke answered “yes,” and after applause and cheers from the crowd, added, “there can be no reward, no benefit, no tax break, for anyone or any institution, any organization in America that denies the full human rights and the full civil rights of every single one of us. And so, as president, we’re going to make that a priority, and we are going to stop those who are infringing upon the human rights of our fellow Americans.”

That’s the part we already know. Here is the part most people have not seen.

Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), another presidential candidate, was asked earlier in the night if he would strip the tax-exempt status of churches who were opposed to same-sex marriage. Booker said that such a move would entail a “long legal battle,” but signaled his sympathy with the idea.

“I’m saying I believe fundamentally that discrimination is discrimination,” he said. “And if you are using your position to try to discriminate others, there must be consequences to that. And I will make sure to hold them accountable using the DOJ or whatever investigatory [body].”

So here we have in the year 2019, two major candidates for President of the United States saying that they want the United States government to FORCE religious institutions to abide by the modern-day #WOKENESS that has gripped the Feelings over Facts crowd.

That should scare you.

Now it is no coincidence that both Beto and Booker are both circling the drain at just around 2% in the latest polling I have read. This is obviously a desperate attempt to shoot up to over 4% and steal the nomination from Biden.

Will it work? No, not for this cycle.

The way these things work though is those two candidates floated an idea and now the top tier candidates will do polling to see if it works with the base. My guess is those churches in the deep south and the mosques in Minnesota will be equally opposed to being singled out for being called bigots and losing any sort of tax-exempt status they have.

The idea though, now having been introduced will be debated among the progressive left and will gain steam. Bernie Sander candidacy in 2016 and this time around has shown that the actual ideas do not matter. Just the feelings that surround those ideas. If it makes you feel warm and fuzzy than roll with it.

We should all be about the discussion of ideas and have vigorous national debates on it. These things usually turn into a discussion on your feelings though and that is just irrelevant and that is just a damn shame.

The only thing left to do for Beto and Booker after agreeing that this horrible idea is worth exploring is to guess which one of these “serious” candidates will be the first to call it quits in their futile race.

My money is on Beto. Anyone who is scared to use their real name that DOESNT work in Hollywood is too timid to be President.

Place your bets.

Trump Jr. Fiercely Rips the Media Over Its Double-Standard Treatment of the Bidens vs. the Trumps

In this April 17, 2017 file photo, Donald Trump Jr., the son of President Donald Trump, speaks to media on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington. Donald Trump Jr.’s scheduled visit to Capitol Hill on Thursday marks a new phase in the Senate investigation of Moscow’s meddling in the 2016 election and a meeting that the president’s eldest son had with Russians during the campaign. Staff from the Senate Judiciary Committee _ one of three congressional committees conducting investigations _ plan to privately interview the younger Trump. (AP Photo/Carolyn Kaster)

Don Jr. was on fire Friday, speaking to Brian Kilmeade on his eponymous Fox program.

Jr. was especially inflamed over what he considers a gargantuan media double standard between the Trump family and the Bidens.

He wanted to address what some have asserted: that Joe’s family — in particular, Hunter Biden — is off-limits.

Here’s what DTJ had to say, with a reference to calls from blocked numbers before and after the Trump Tower meeting of 2016 between Russians and Trump campaign reps.

“Look at what they tried to do to me for three years. I mean, these clowns tried to put me in jail for three years because I took an unsolicited phone call.”

The vice president of the Trump Organization labeled the difference sickening:

“You know, the double standard is pretty sick, Brian. I’ve talked about it for a long time. We can play one way, or we can play another way, but we’ve got to be playing the same game.”

Watch the latest video at foxnews.com
Don put himself in a semi-Bidenish position:

“The reality is this: If Donald Trump Jr. flew on Air Force One with my father, the president, to China and came back with $1.5 dollars — not $1.5 billion, just $1.5 dollars — we’d solve the fake news media problem because their heads would explode.”

He’s certainly been scathed by the press a time or two. And he knows a bit about peeps going family-deep in a political attack.

As I covered in May, as part of the collusion clamor, Jr. said Dems sought to subpoena the tax records of his 4-year-old daughter, Chloe (here).

Actually, given the recent rise of children being utilized for political means (here, here, and here), that might not be a half-bad idea.

But Don ain’t into it:

“If Donald Trump Jr. had a no-show gig on a corrupt Ukrainian oil company while my father was in charge of the issues over there… minor details. I’ve never been in energy or oil. Minor details. I don’t speak Ukrainian. You think the press would have a problem with that, Brian?”

Hunter was, of course, on the board of Burisma Holdings while dad Joe was VP.

But Hunter probably won’t have to deal with cousin Eddie in the RV.

Don did:

“I had the media camped out in front of my apartment for two years. They don’t even try to find this guy to even get a comment.”

“It’s not fair. It’s not a level playing field,” he insisted. “And, so we have to fight back accordingly.”

Some critics of the news media would likely easily believe they were holed up like Eddie…and “full”:

Whistleblowers Start Coming out of the Woodwork; Take a Number, We’ll Get to you Shortly

It looks like people are responding to former CIA Director John Brennan’s call to action.

Two Congressional sources have told The Daily Beast that additional whistleblowers have contacted the House Democrats on the Intelligence Committee. They report:

Congressional investigators are currently vetting the new accounts they’ve received for credibility. Accordingly, knowledgeable sources would not discuss where in the government these new would-be whistleblowers come from, nor what they purport to have to say.

It’s also unknown if their accounts are as significant as that of the intelligence whistleblower whose alarm over President Trump’s July 25 phone call sparked the impeachment probe. Investigators often encounter cranks as well as those with genuine knowledge of wrongdoing. Nor is it clear if these new ostensible whistleblowers have contacted any inspectors general, as the original two whistleblowers did.

Attorney Mark Zaid, who represents the first two whistleblowers, told The Daily Beast, “There are clearly numerous whistleblowers out there and many people who possess firsthand relevant information who could come forward, and I expect some will.”

For those of us who followed the senate confirmation hearings for Justice Brett Kavanaugh, all of this is very predictable. Last fall, it seemed that a new witness came forward every day. And as time went on, the stories became more and more fantastic. One woman said that every month or so, Kavanaugh would throw a rape party. Another woman, who had been drinking heavily, vaguely remembers a man exposing himself to her at a college dorm party. It might have been Judge Kavanaugh. There were at least five or six of these completely bogus accusations made against him. All of which were lies.

I think it’s time for Adam Schiff to be investigated. I would be interested to read his communications, particularly around the time that the whistleblower was in touch with his staff. We need to determine what level of involvement Schiff had with this individual. Additionally, Schiff needs to be held accountable for his lie. In an appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, he was asked if he or any members of his staff had spoken to the whistleblower. He answered, “We have not spoken directly with the whistleblower. We would like to.” When his lie was revealed, Schiff “expressed regret.” Is that all a Democrat has to do when they’re caught in a lie? It would seem so.

Schiff told The Daily Beast he would not comment on “whether investigators had heard from additional whistleblowers. Schiff noted that his committee rarely acknowledges receiving whistleblower complaints because “people can reverse-engineer who whistleblowers are” given an abundance of identifying information.” Always looking out for the little guy.

Okay, so let’s brace ourselves for the long line of partisans we’ll be hearing from over the next several weeks.

And when in the world will the FISA report be released?
