Here’s an odd way to go about things.

On Monday, presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren revealed an anti-corruption plan that would instigate a “cooling off” period for lobbyists prior to being employed by the government.

The plan would also prevent them from donating to political campaigns.

And why? Because, as per Elizabeth in a piece for Medium, that’s “legalized bribery.”

Got that? Lobbying is bad:

“The fundamental promise of our democracy is that every voice matters. But when lobbyists and big corporations can buy influence from politicians, that promise is broken. The first thing to do to fix it is to end lobbying as we know it.”

Duly noted.

So what’d she do the very next day? Hire a lobbyist.

Kimberly Diaz Scott — who, as recently as January, was a registered lobbyist for the Florida Alliance of Planned Parenthood Affiliates — announced her exit from the organization in order to lead Elizabeth’s campaign in the Sunshine State.

But, as Kimberly told the Miami Herald, she’ll still be carrying the abortion torch:

“I won’t be far from the movement, as I’m humbled and proud to announce my transition as the Florida State Director for Warren for President, assuring that we will continue to fight like hell to elect a brilliant leader who will work to protect the health, safety and future of ALL people. 2020 is not for the rich or selfish, 2020 is for us.”

Got that class warfare lesson? 2020 is for Elizabeth, not for the rich or selfish.

Therefore, Elizabeth clearly isn’t rich.

Kimberly oughta check out the Forbes article “How Elizabeth Warren Built A $12 Million Fortune.”

As for selfishness, how would the former lobbyist otherwise explain a woman as white as the chick from Morton Salt using the lie that she’s an Indian to advance her career?

Among the worst politics has to offer, people open their mouths and leak words that have no bearing on reality (here). From my perspective, the moment someone of wealth pretends not to be — or anyone on their staff participates in the charade — that candidate’s as goofy as all get-out (here). That’s one thing, I believe, people have always liked about Trump: He doesn’t apologize for his success.

Anyway, back to lobbying, here’s more from The Daily Wire:

Warren’s plan said lobbyists were effectively bribing politicians by donating to politicians, but her own political campaigns have received at least $95,000 from lobbyists between 2012 and 2018, CNBC reported.

“Under my proposal, current lobbyists won’t be able to take government jobs for 2 years after lobbying, with limited exceptions for when the hiring is in the national interest,” Warren’s plan states. “Corporate lobbyists will have to wait at least 6 years — no exceptions, and no waivers.”

So Elizabeth — who takes money from lobbyists — is against taking money from lobbyists.

That’s…rich.

Jimmy Carter: Shouldn’t there be an age limit on the presidency?

Westlake Legal Group carter-age-limit Jimmy Carter: Shouldn’t there be an age limit on the presidency? The Blog Senate Democrats Joe Biden Jimmy Carter Elizabeth Warren Bernie Sanders age limits 2020 Democrat candidates

This could have been an entirely self-effacing moment — or it might be Jimmy Carter’s message to the Democratic Party. “What will it take to convince you to run for president?” asked the moderator of a town hall at the Carter Center last night in Atlanta. Carter laughed off the comparison to Grover Cleveland’s two non-consecutive terms, but then turned more serious in questioning whether 80-year-olds would be up to the job, let alone 95-year-olds:

“I hope there is an age limit,” he said as the audience laughed. “You know, if I were just 80 years old, if I were 15 years younger, I don’t believe I could undertake the duties that I experienced when I was President.” …

“So the things I faced then in foreign affairs, I don’t think I could undertake them when I was 80 years old. So 95 is out of the question. I had a hard time walking when I came in,” said Carter, whose birthday is on October 1.

Some of us remember the Carter presidency and think he wasn’t all that up to the task at 52, either, especially in foreign affairs. Carter turned the Iranian hostage crisis into a daily soap opera and appeared baffled and impotent when the Soviets invaded Afghanistan. But we digress, while CNN connects the dots:

Age has been an ongoing topic of discussion in the 2020 campaign. President Donald Trump, who is 73 years old, became the oldest first-term President when he was inaugurated, and the top three Democratic contenders — Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, 78; former Vice President Joe Biden, 76; and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, 70 — would also be among the oldest first-term presidents in history.

There is a difference between age and frailty, however. For all his other real and perceived faults, Trump is clearly vital and active. So is Elizabeth Warren for that matter, the youngest of the four septuagenarians. Even Bernie! appears not to have slowed down at all despite already nearing Carter’s suggested age limit. Health and vitality matter more than age itself, it would seem, although it’s not clear whether voters by and large completely agree with that. They might be wondering why both major parties will ask them to choose between aging Boomers for the second cycle in a row rather than offer a fresher pick.

For Joe Biden, the question is of frailty more than age. That’s the issue at which Team Trump took aim with this video yesterday, via Jeff Dunetz and Allahpundit:

Nevertheless, The Hill reports that Senate Democrats are praying that Biden wins the nomination, even if he sleeps through Election Day. They’re worried about what a Warren or Sanders nomination will do to down-ticket races, let alone their chances of winning the presidency:

Yet a number of Democrats privately acknowledge that if Warren or Sanders wins the nomination, it will create immediate tension within the party.

The two progressives are to the left of many of their colleagues, and some of their best-known proposals, such as “Medicare for All” and free college education, do not have widespread support within the Democratic caucus.

If Warren or Sanders wins the party’s presidential nomination, there will be pressure in the Senate to adopt their proposals. And there could be tensions between a nominee and senators who do not back their proposals.

Another factor is the race for the Senate. Some Democrats think it will be easier to win races in conservative-leaning states such as Alabama, North Carolina and Georgia if Biden is their nominee and not Warren or Sanders.

There is no age limit on the instinct for self-preservation. Voters, however, might have other ideas if it comes down to old 60s-style socialists or the rough-mannered incumbent already in place.

Elizabeth Warren won’t tell the truth about middle-class taxes despite Stephen Colbert pleading with her to do so

Westlake Legal Group Warren-Colbert Elizabeth Warren won’t tell the truth about middle-class taxes despite Stephen Colbert pleading with her to do so The Blog Taxes Stephen Colbert medicare for all Elizabeth Warren

Elizabeth Warren appeared on the Stephen Colbert show Tuesday night. Colbert’s interview quickly turned into a public attempt to help Warren craft a more honest answer about one of her main policy proposals, Medicare for All. Colbert did his best to make the case that Warren should stop avoiding the fact that her plan would necessitate raising middle-class taxes.

Colbert set up the segment by calling her Medicare for All proposal the “most radical” of all of her positions. Warren quibbled with that but then Colbert got to his question. “You keep being asked in the debate ‘How are you going to pay for it? Are you going to raise the middle-class’ taxes?’” Colbert said.

Warren then launched into her well-rehearsed spiel about raising “costs” on the wealth and concluded, “hard-working middle-class families are going to see their costs go down.” Of course, that wasn’t the question.

“But will their taxes go up?” Colbert asked again.

“But here’s the thing…” Warren said.

“No, but here’s the thing,” Colbert interjected. He continued, “I’ve listened to these answers a few times before and I just want to make a parallel suggestion for you about how you might defend the taxes that perhaps you’re not mentioning in your sentence.

“Isn’t Medicare for All like public school? There might be taxes for it, but you certainly save a lot of money on sending your kids to school, and do you want to live in a world where your kids aren’t educated? Do you want to live in a world where your fellow citizens are dying, even if it costs a little bit of money?”

What Colbert is really arguing here is that you can offer a defense of M4A without running in circles rhetorically to avoid admitting that it will require higher taxes. It’s a plea for being more forthcoming with the American people. Even Bernie Sanders, who also supports M4A, has admitted it would require raising taxes on the middle-class.

This is exactly what Warren is refusing to say. But instead of dropping the talking points at Colbert’s prompting, she launched into a filibuster answer that lasted more than two minutes.

At the end of her spiel, Colbert could have easily destroyed Warren by simply asking her once again, “But will their taxes go up?” That would have highlighted the way in which her lengthy answer never answered his simple question. It probably would have become a viral clip on social media as well. But Colbert is a Democrat and he’s not interested in playing hardball with Democrats, especially ones who have a real shot at securing the nomination. So when Warren was finally finished with her non-answer, Colbert quickly moved on.

To sum this up, Colbert spends most of this segment trying to encourage Warren to be more honest and when she refuses to take his advice he gives her a pass. You can probably imagine how this would have gone if a Republican candidate were similarly dancing around the truth. Here’s the clip:

Warren captures big endorsement from former Bernie supporters

Westlake Legal Group Elizabeth-Warren-2 Warren captures big endorsement from former Bernie supporters Working Families Party The Blog Labor Unions Joe Biden Elizabeth Warren democrat socialists Bernie Sanders 2020 Democrat primaries 2020 campaign

Elizabeth Warren has officially received the warm embrace of democrat socialists – she scored the endorsement of the Working Families Party. This is a slap to Bernie Sanders, who received the party’s endorsement in 2016.

Warren had a really good day Monday. Not only did she get the bragging rights of the Working Families Party endorsement but she also held a campaign rally to roll out her latest policy on fighting corruption in government. The rally was attended by more than 20,000 people – Warren is now in the Trump universe of huge crowds and mega-rallies. Ironically, the only other candidate that scores those kinds of numbers is Bernie Sanders.

The location of the rally was Washington Square Park near the site of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory. That fire in 1911 killed 146 people, mostly immigrant women workers. It led to union organizing and labor reforms. Warren calls for that kind of mobilization of working-class people. Warren doesn’t call herself a socialist, as Bernie does, but she justifies her calls for heavy-handed government take-overs of private industries as all in the name of what is best for the little people. Socialist policies kill free markets and entrepreneurial spirits as they keep working people under the thumb of corrupt leaders. Sounds like a labor union to me.

The Working Families Party may not be a major political party nationally but this endorsement sends a strong message to Democrat primary voters. There are active chapters in New York, Connecticut, Oregon, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Rhode Island, Nevada, West Virginia, New Mexico, Ohio, Texas, and Illinois. The Working Families Party of New York was organized in 1998 by labor unions and community organizations. It’s early for such a notable endorsement to be made, and a blow to the Sanders campaign.

Warren is on the rise in polls and essentially fighting Bernie for second place after Biden. Biden, Warren, and Sanders are the only three candidates with a shot at the Democrat nomination, at least for now. Some early endorsements by elected officials are beginning to shift a bit as the top candidates shake out in the polls. Biden has remained the frontrunner since he announced his candidacy. The same happened in 2016 with Trump in the Republican primary but the certainty of Biden’s nomination is in question.

Biden is proving to be a really bad candidate on the campaign trail. He may have been able to brush off criticism in the early days of his campaign as the result of being rusty and out of public office for a couple of years but he sure hasn’t improved. It is impossible to not note that he is not energetic or passionate in his speeches to supporters. Elizabeth Warren, in contrast, is like the Energizer Bunny. She bounces on stage, she runs through crowds, she almost yells while delivering speeches, and is always fired up. She has the energy that Biden lacks and frankly, that Hillary Clinton never had in 2016.

Warren’s anti-corruption initiative is all about big structural change, you see. She used the example of Frances Perkins who fought for labor rights after the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire and became FDR’s labor secretary, the first female Cabinet member in U.S. history as the way forward. One persistent woman. For Warren, like Hillary, persists is the message. (Warren is getting advice from Hillary.)

“What did one woman — one very persistent woman — backed up by millions of people across this country get done? Big structural change,” Warren said. “Social Security. Unemployment insurance. Abolition of child labor. Minimum wage. The right to join a union. Even the very existence of the weekend.”

She called President Trump “corruption in the flesh” but she admits that he didn’t start corruption in government.

The Working Families Party endorsement is a nod to a “mass movement” to turn the United States into a socialist wonderland. Their early announcement of an endorsement is meant to send the message that voters can’t sit on the sidelines in the primary.

“Senator Warren knows how to kick Wall Street kleptocrats where it hurts, and she’s got some truly visionary plans to make this country work for the many,” said Maurice Mitchell, the Working Families Party’s national director. “We need a mass movement to make her plans a reality, and we’re going to be a part of that work.”

Her anti-corruption plan is extensive, as you might expect from a policy wonk. She envisions lots of bans on lobbying and restricting elected officials from stock purchases, for example. There are a lot of don’ts. She wants automatic tax return disclosures of all federal candidates and officeholders.

The irony is that Warren was delivering this speech – meant to get the attention of working people, especially women – in an area where the median income is well above that of most working-class people.

Warren’s take-on-the-elites speech happened in the wealthy and highly educated neighborhood of Greenwich Village with a median household income of $120,000

Sanders’ Iowa state director, Misty Rebik, responded to Warren’s endorsement.

Warren has plenty of support from educated, upper income women. I’m not so sure that this event moved the needle with the big demographic she needs to crack – African-American voters. That group is in Biden’s camp right now. This primary race continues to be between the safe choice to beat Trump – Biden, or the swing from the rafters with big change candidates, Warren and Sanders.

Former Vice President Joe Biden spoke to supporters at the Workers’ Presidential Summit in Philadelphia on Tuesday and touted his proposal for an $8,000 tax credit to pay for childcare costs. He said:

You get a tax break for a racehorse, why in God’s name couldn’t we provide an $8,000 tax credit for everybody who has childcare costs? It would put 720 million women back in the workforce. It would increase the GDP, to sound like a wonk here, by about eight-tenths of one percent. It would grow the economy.

His remarks can be heard in the clip below.

Another blunder by the frontrunner in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination. Nearly every time Biden speaks, he commits another gaffe. Democrats seem to be slowly coming around to the fact that he will not be able to beat Trump. Although Biden has managed to maintain his lead in most polls, there are signs he is losing ground to Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA).

An NBC/Wall Street Journal poll released on Tuesday questioned 506 Democratic primary voters between September 13-16 about their level of enthusiasm for each candidate. Warren led the field at 35%, Sanders came in at 25% and Biden at 23%. In March, Warren was at 20%, Sanders at 28% and Biden at 33%. (Enthusiasm for Kamala Harris stood at 22% in March and has fallen to 13% in September.)

All of this is to say that primary voters are watching and they’re noticing.

Here are some responses to Biden’s comment on Twitter:

Joe think he’s running to be President of China maybe?

When you want to divide by two, but end up multiplying. And still get it wrong.

Democrats routinely count the recently deceased. Honest mistake.

That 720 million women number is AFTER Joe cures cancer. #MakingSenseWithJoe

Yikes! The US population is 330 million but Joe Biden says a child tax credit would put 720 million women back in the workforce.

Democrats are locked on to “tax the rich” plans

Westlake Legal Group Sanders-Warren Democrats are locked on to “tax the rich” plans wealth tax The Blog Elizabeth Warren eat the rich Bernie Sanders 2020 Democratic primaries

I think this is one area where Elizabeth Warren has managed to outflank Bernie Sanders, as I’ll explain below. The subject at hand is taxes. Nobody likes paying them, but without them, we don’t have a government. (Your comments of “are you implying that would be a bad thing?” are assumed.) But among the Democrats vying for the nomination, Warren has been dancing along a fine line. Yes, she’s going to be raising taxes… but only on the rich. And it’s an idea that seems to be paying off for her with the base. (The Hill)

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), who has already proposed a new wealth tax to raise funds for a variety of new government programs, on Thursday unveiled a plan to expand Social Security by creating two new taxes on wage and investment income for wealthy Americans.

The proposal comes as Warren enjoys a long stretch of momentum in the presidential race that has lifted her in polls and put her side-by-side with former Vice President Joe Biden during last week’s Democratic debate.

Separately, Sen. Ron Wyden (Ore.), the top Democrat on the Senate’s tax-writing committee, rolled out his own proposal designed to prevent the rich from avoiding taxes on their investment gains.

As I mentioned at the top, this is one area where I think Bernie Sanders stumbled coming out of the gate. To give credit where due, Bernie was at least honest and said that his expansive socialist plans would be quite expensive and everyone should expect to pay more taxes for the public good. That didn’t go over too well, even with some Democrats.

You know how the old saying goes, right? Don’t tax you. Don’t tax me. Tax the guy behind the tree.

Warren apparently had that lesson in mind and went with a different strategy. She’s just going to tax “the rich” to pay for her own massive plans. This allows the gullible masses of primary voters to offer their support while glibly smirking, safe in the knowledge that their money will be safe. It’s just those rich fat cats who will pay the bill.

Warren is being completely disingenuous, of course. Should she somehow be elected and get her plans put in place, you can bet that there will be a lot of people out there who will be shocked to find out that they are “rich.” Also, taxing the top wealth brackets for all they’re worth still won’t come anywhere near the cost of Medicare for All, guaranteed basic income and the rest of the schemes she’s cooking up.

But let’s at least give a nod to a workable campaign strategy when we see one. This is a great sounding idea for the Eat the Rich crowd. “Free” stuff for everyone and none of the “common people” will have to dip into their own pockets to pay for it. It’s a lovely fantasy and one that now has Warren starting to challenge Joe Biden in the polls while leaving poor Bernie in the dust.

In all likelihood, it’s going to come down to Joe Biden and Elizabeth Warren as the two Democrats vying for the 2020 nomination.

Right now, it’s Biden’s race to lose. He has sizable support from the more moderate Democratic voters, a group that is more unified than the far left voters of the Democratic base. His biggest threat, however, is Warren, who appears to be shoring up a good chunk of the far left base.

However, Warren’s biggest threat is not Biden. Her biggest threat is Sanders and the crowd of Senators behind him.

Sanders is probably the best example of “Always the bridesmaid, never the bride” in modern politics. Even Hillary Clinton was able to win the nomination once. Sanders can’t.

But still he runs, and in running he is twice now dividing the party he’s not even a member of in order to fail to win their nomination for president.

Not that I mind all this, to be honest. Each and every one of the Democrats running is out of their minds with Trump Derangement, and their campaigns are reflections of that. But, Sanders in particular is a great case of selfishness and vanity disguised as activism.

He doesn’t stand a chance of winning, yet here he is, keeping Warren from being able to shore up enough of the base to properly challenge Biden’s lead.

And, let’s be clear: Sanders and Warren have the same base. They have the same ideology, the same ideas, and the same unending hatred of all things capitalist. As much as people feared Barack Obama’s promise to “fundamentally change” America, his policies are nothing compared to what Sanders and Warren want to do.

But Sanders looks and sounds old, comes across as crazy and bitter, and scares the hell out of anyone who isn’t as dogmatic as he is.

Warren, on the other hand, looks and sounds younger, is more energetic (in a good way), and has the ability to better connect with more than just the far left.

Even if you keep Kamala Harris, Corey Booker, and the other candidates in the equation, Sanders is far and away the biggest problem with Warren’s run. He can’t overcome her, but he can keep enough of the vote to himself that Warren may never catch up to Biden.

He is forever the political bridesmaid, and it seems like he’s become bitter over that fact, and wants to destroy the happiness of the other candidates.

Again, not that I mind.

Last night, two bad teams got together to pillow fight on Thursday Night Football, yet if you decided to watch it instead of the Democratic Primary debate, congratulations. You made the right decision.

It was full cries of racism, lies about socialism, and Trump bashing, and as per usual, lots and lots of crazy policy proposals. On that front, a surprising candidate took home the award for the most ridiculous one. Yes, Beto O’Rourke wants to take your guns and Elizabeth Warren claims her bazillion dollar programs won’t raise taxes on the middle class, but Joe Biden said something last night that eclipses them all in terms of sheer insanity. Given he’s the supposed “moderate” in the race, that’s not a contest he’s supposed to be winning.

This is Joe Biden, so the first thing we have to ask is whether he even knew what he was saying. This is the same guy who can’t remember what day it is half the time and nearly had his eye explode on national TV. In other words, it’s possible he’ll walk this back.

For the time being though, let’s talk about how nonsensical this is.

Imagine world where “non-violent” criminals like drug dealers, financial scammers, and thieves carry no chance of incarceration. Heck, we don’t even have to imagine it. Just take a flight out to California and witness the chaos caused by the fact that shop-lifters aren’t arrested unless they steal over $900 (Prop 47). What’s that led to? People stealing $800 worth of stuff knowing they likely won’t be pursued and certainly won’t be jailed.

Now, take that outcome and multiply it’s effects by a million and you’d get what would happen if we stopped giving jail time to non-violent criminals. There would be zero deterrent to committing robbery, carrying out white collar crime, or bribing someone in power. The drug cartels would explode even more as nearly every part of their apparatus would no longer be subject to imprisonment.

I’m sure Biden will walk this back. Perhaps he already has. But what this shows though is just how bad he is at this. The guy’s teeth nearly fell out of his head last night as he garbled his words. He talked about record players in a bizarre answer at one point. Am I really supposed to believe this is the guy that’s going to out campaign Donald Trump? No doubt, he starts with major advantages which I’ve laid out before. He’s “ole Joe,” the comfortable, safe pick for a lot of moderates. But this campaign has barely started and if Biden somehow stumbles into the nomination, Trump is going to absolutely work him over. Whether that translates into winning in 2020, I don’t know because Trump has his own issues with voters. What I do know is that Democrats should probably be wishing for someone more capable to take on the incumbent.

Bloodshed in Houston: The Winners and Losers of the Democratic Debate

The Thursday night showdown between the top candidates in the Democratic Primary provided very few surprises, but a lot of in-fighting and a little bloodshed was still visible on the stage.

A debate featuring Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, and Elizabeth Warren front and center, surrounded by Andrew Yang, Pete Buttigieg, Amy Klobuchar, Corey Booker, Kamala Harris, Julian Castro, and Beto O’Rourke, the ABC News event was well-run and did a good job of clearly setting the candidates at one another without goading them into fistfights. The result was a lot of civil disagreement and a little bit of bitterness, all tied together with discussions of policy and the direction of the election cycle.

Here are the winners and losers of the debate. As always, this is from a neutral/objective viewpoint and not through the lens of a conservative perspective.

The Winners: Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders

It should come as little surprise that the highest-polling candidates are such because they are the most talented politicians, but what makes this top three so appealing is that Warren and Sanders tag-teamed Biden and couldn’t break him. Essentially, Warren and Sanders are the same, and they showed it in the way they responded to questions. This also became the early hurdle for Biden, who actually weathered the storm very well. He did not get frustrated, and maintained his talking points without sounding robotic. Sanders, clearly thinking to rekindle the hot moment from the last debate, used the “I wrote the damn bill” line again, but to substantially less effect than last time. Biden side-stepped the line, and Klobuchar would actually later say that while Sanders did write the bill, she actually read it, and used that to score a point over Biden.

As things stand right now, Sanders is likely going to go down in history as always the bridesmaid and never the bride. He will end up endorsing Warren, who was the stronger of the two socialists on stage.

Runner-up: Corey Booker

I will say this about Booker: He was the most human person on the stage tonight. His sense of comedic timing and his East-Coast-But-Still-Somewhat-Folksy mentality played very well on a stage beset by in-fighting. Booker just naturally seems like a nice person, and one you might want to have a drink with. He doesn’t stand a chance, of course, but he is working all the right angles and in a different world, his views on charter schools (as described tonight as opposed to previous nights), the black community, and the need to work with Republicans to get things solved makes him the best candidate the Democrats have.

The Losers: Julian Castro, Kamala Harris, Beto O’Rourke

These three are so much alike it’s scary. Both Castro and O’Rourke try to claim some sort of deep emotional tie to the Hispanic community, and Harris continues to try to be black as opposed to a cop. It isn’t working for any of them.

O’Rourke is still pushing gun-grabbing and talking about the problems with Donald Trump’s racism… and he does all this while being a rich, white male. If he was trying to be a walking contradiction, this is perhaps a little too-on-the-nose of him. He could very easily step aside and offer his support to a woman or person of color, but instead he chooses to run a race he has no shot at winning (which he knows, but he’s too committed to the role now).

Castro speaks very little Spanish, has been a career politician rather than a well-in-tune member of the Hispanic community and went after Biden in a very fierce and very unappealing way. I can’t say that this debate hurt Castro, considering he is only polling at about two percent, but it sure didn’t help him.

Harris is trying to hard to tell African-Americans that she’s just like them, and it’s just not working. Ever since Tusli Gabbard took some well-aimed shots at her, Harris has been very quiet and somber since then, and she isn’t looking to try all that hard to win these voting groups.

The Also-Rans: Amy Klobuchar, Andrew Yang, Pete Buttigieg

Kudos to Yang for offering Americans $1000 per month if people just signed up online and got selected. It was a bold move, but it happened at the beginning of the three-hour debate, and everyone had forgotten about it by the end of the debate. He didn’t really stand out, save for a quick exchange about the nastiness of all the in-fighting, which Castro rudely responded to.

Klobuchar had some good points, but she is just not a very exciting candidate and it still shows. Buttigieg, meanwhile, doesn’t seem to know what he wants to be when he grows up.

Overall, the debate wasn’t terrible, though at three hours long, it was a bit much.
