New Jersey teen is under arrest after authorities say he groped a Rutgers student while she slept after sneaking into her unlocked dorm room.

The arrest of the 17-year-old, who was not a Rutgers student, was announced Monday by Middlesex County Acting Prosecutor Christopher Kuberiet. The teen was being prosecuted as a juvenile and his name wasn’t released.

The accuser said she was sleeping in her Quad 2 dorm room on the Rutgers Livingston Campus in Piscataway when she was groped Sunday morning, according to reports.

She said the stranger fled when she woke up.

Kuberiet said the juvenile faced charges of aggravated sexual contact, criminal sexual contact and burglary.

“The criminal sexual contact is aggravated because it occurred during the course of a burglary,” he said.

Students told the New York Post the suspect was a local high school student who was often seen lurking around campus and had a history of breaking into students’ dorm rooms.

One student told the paper that Rutgers officials had been told about the juvenile’s behavior by concerned students but they did nothing to ban him from the campus.

“He barged into my room before without knocking and thank God my roommate was there,” Emmanuel Azuonwu said.

Ukrainian man arrested in New Hampshire crash that killed 7 bikers is indicted

A 23-year-old pickup truck driver with a history of traffic arrests, who is accused of killing seven motorcyclists in a fiery crash in New Hampshire this past summer, has been indicted on 23 charges and could face up to 378 years in prison if convicted.

Volodymyr Zhukovskyy, a Ukrainian native living in Springfield, Mass., who was found to be under the influence of one or more drugs at the time, is to be arraigned by video on Nov. 5, The Associated Press reported.

He has been jailed without bail since the June 21 crash in Randolph, about 100 miles north of Concord.

He previously pleaded not guilty.

Back in June, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) filed for a detainer against Zhukovskyy, seeking potentially to deport him after criminal proceedings.

The Coös County grand jury issued indictments Thursday on seven counts of negligent homicide; seven counts of negligent homicide — driving under the influence; seven counts of manslaughter-reckless; one count of driving while intoxicated; and one count of reckless conduct.

The negligent homicide-DUI charges accused Zhukovskyy of driving under the influence of a controlled drug or drugs at the time of the crash; the manslaughter charges accuse Zhukovskyy of driving recklessly and swerving across the center line on Route 2.

Back in August, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration said that a toxicology report showed Zhukovskyy tested positive for an unspecified drug that made him incapable of driving safely when his pickup truck crossed the center yellow line and crashed into the motorcyclists.

Zhukovskyy also said that he reached for a drink on the passenger side of the truck just before the crash, according to the report. That violation was labeled as “inattentive driving.”

Fox News’ Tamara Gitt and The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Florida man turns himself in after allegedly robbing 3 banks in 3 hours

A Florida man accused of robbing three banks in three hours Friday turned himself in to police Saturday, authorities said.

Sandy Graham Jr., 40, allegedly robbed a trio of banks in Broward County in about the same amount of time it takes to watch a Quentin Tarantino flick or take in a baseball game.

The spree started at a Chase bank location in Hollywood around 2:30 p.m., according to the FBI. When he approached a bank teller, Graham implied he had a weapon and demanded money, the Miami Herald reported. Other people were inside the bank, but no one was injured.

Around 5:30 p.m., Graham wrapped up the string of heists at a SunTrust branch and, again, implied he had a weapon and demanded money, investigators said.

It was not immediately clear if the person robbing the banks actually had a weapon or how much money he took.

The FBI released photos of the bank robber and, on Saturday, Graham surrendered to authorities and was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service.

Severe weather that spawned Dallas tornado moves east, 1 killed by falling tree in Arkansas

A line of potent thunderstorms responsible for the powerful tornado that tore through parts of Dallas late Sunday has moved east, blasting the region with strong winds and leaving at least one person dead after a tree fell on an Arkansas home early Monday.

The National Weather Service’s Weather Prediction Center said numerous showers and thunderstorms were expected to continue throughout the day along the Mississippi River Valley southward to the Gulf Coast ahead of a cold front.

“There will be enough instability ahead of the front across parts of the Deep South to support the development of some strong to severe thunderstorms on Monday, and there may be additional strong storms over the Southeast U.S. on Tuesday,” the NWS said.

The strong to severe thunderstorm threat from the Gulf Coast to the Ohio Valley brings the threat of large hail, damaging winds, heavy rain, and possible tornadoes, according to Fox News Senior Meteorologist Janice Dean.

“We had a tornado yesterday in Dallas, Texas it came overnight, last night. We have the threat for severe weather today, again,” Dean said on “Fox & Friends.” “Just be aware we could see the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms, know what to do if there is a watch or warning.”

DALLAS STARS’ TYLER SEGUIN LOSES HOME IN TORNADO, SAYS IT’S ‘EXTREMELY SAD SIGHT TO SEE’

In Arkansas, one person was killed just after midnight after a tree fell on a home in Rogers, located about 150 miles northwest of Little Rock, according to an NWS report.

Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson also confirmed the death on Twitter, saying “significant storm damage” was reported in the northwest part of the state.

The storms, which struck the Dallas area late Sunday, moved through Arkansas in the early morning hours on Monday, triggering several tornado warnings while damage was also reported in the northeast corner of the state. Tornado warnings were in effect Monday morning in far eastern Arkansas near the Mississippi River as the storm system moved to the east.

Damage was also reported in Oklahoma and Missouri, and tens of thousands of customers in the Memphis area were without power after the storms moved through, FOX13 reported.

In Dallas, many people spent Monday assessing the damage after the tornado struck the northern part of the city.

The twister touched down around 9 p.m. near Love Field Airport in North Dallas before moving northeast through the city, knocking out power for thousands. The tornado’s path took it through the Walnut Lane area of Dallas before it moved through sections of Garland, Richardson, Rockwall and Sachse.

In the Royal Lane area, Jeff Nguyen told FOX4 his children were upstairs when tornado sirens began blaring. Nguyen said his wife was trying to make it up the stairs when the tornado began to blow their roof off and “threw her back down the stairs.”

“I kind of pushed her down and got past her and got upstairs. My son was up in his bed with the covers over him. The window blew out and flew into the side of his bed,” he told FOX4. “If he didn’t have a bunk bed I don’t know where it would have landed on him. But that probably saved him.”

Dallas Fire Rescue’s Station 41 on Royal Lane near the Dallas North Tollway was almost completely destroyed by the twister. Photos released by the department showed the roof is gone and the walls are damaged, but officials said that no firefighters were hurt.

TORNADO RIPS THROUGH DALLAS, LEAVING SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE AND THOUSANDS WITHOUT POWER

There were no reports of fatalities or serious injuries early Monday, according to a release from the city of Dallas, but Fire-Rescue spokesman Jason Evans told the Associated Press that three people were hospitalized for evaluation of non-life-threatening injuries.

Search teams were set to begin a second round of efforts at daylight, according to Evans, who told the AP that crews have responded to “everything from power lines down to fallen trees to people being injured inside of their homes by broken glass.”

The storm’s fury was captured on social media, with one video showing debris flying around.

Damage within Dallas is limited to an area bordered by Royal Lane to the north and Northwest Highway to the south, as well as Harry Hines Boulevard to the west and Interstate 75 to the east — essentially, northwest Dallas, according to Evans. Video of the twister showed electrical flashes as it moved northeast, bringing down power lines.

Nearly 140,000 electric customers were without power in Texas as of 4 a.m. Monday, according to Oncor’s online outage map. The electric utility said storms across East Texas had caused significant damage to power lines.

Mayor Eric Johnson said the city of Dallas opened the Bachman Recreation Center with the help of the Red Cross. The shelter will be open for anyone who was displaced by the storm, remains without power or needs help. The Red Cross is assessing if additional shelters need to be opened.

Citing extensive damage to campuses, the Dallas Independent School District canceled Monday classes at six schools.

A 2-year-old girl was fatally shot in Philadelphia on Sunday in a particularly disturbing act of violence — mere hours after an 11-month-old boy in the city was shot four times, police said.

The unidentified toddler was at home in the Kensington neighborhood when, around 3:30 p.m., officials say someone with a rifle entered the home and shot three people, including the child.

PENNSYLVANIA 11-MONTH-OLD SHOT 4 TIMES WHILE SITTING IN CAR, POLICE SAY

The toddler was struck once in the back of the head and pronounced dead minutes later, WTXF-TV reported.

Her death, which reportedly makes her the 278th person to be killed in the city this year, came less than 24 hours after an infant was shot four times while sitting in a car with his stepmother in Hunting Park. The baby in that incident was hit in the back of the head, in the chest, and twice in the buttocks around 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. As of Monday, he was still listed in critical condition.

Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney tweeted that he’s “outraged, disgusted, and heartbroken by the violence this weekend that claimed the life of an innocent 2-year-old and left another infant fighting for his life,” and said residents “should not live in fear of violence that could take away a child’s life.”

“With the unabated flow of illegal guns and drugs, we must do whatever we can locally to address violence and help residents,” Kenney said. “We’ll have teams in the neighborhoods impacted by this weekend’s violence to provide support and trauma-informed care.”

Christine Coulter, the acting commissioner of the Philadelphia Police Department, said she’s “never seen anything like it, it’s something you can’t unsee.”

Shortly before the 11-month-old was shot Saturday, three men were injured a few blocks away in another shooting. It wasn’t immediately clear if the shootings were connected, and authorities said no arrests have been made.

Turkey accused of ‘violating’ cease-fire; Trump mulls leaving some troops in Syria; Gabbard blasts Clinton

Good morning and welcome to Fox News First. Here’s what you need to know as you start your Monday and the new work week …

Kurdish military leader says his fighters still want to work with US, accuses Turkey of ‘violating’ cease-fire, ‘ethnic cleansing’
The Kurdish military leader who serves as commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces revealed to Fox News’ Jennifer Griffin in a telephone interview Sunday from his base inside Syria that Turkey’s military has “violated” the planned cease-fire and was continuing to commit “ethnic cleansing.” Speaking through a translator, Gen. Mazloum Abdi said he was “deeply disappointed” in President Trump over the withdrawal of U.S. troops in northern Syria, and claimed there’s still time for the U.S. to help the Kurds fighting for their lives. Trump considering leaving small number of US troops in Syria: report
President Trump is mulling a plan to keep hundreds of U.S. troops in northeast Syria after most of American forces leave, reports say. The goal of this plan would be to prevent Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s troops or Russian forces from taking control of Syria’s oil fields, which are mainly in Kurdish-held territory in the northeast part of the country. It would also enable the military to retain a foothold in the fight against ISIS militants.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., who has opposed Trump’s initial decision to withdraw all 1,000 U.S. troops in northeast Syria, presented the idea to the president last week, the Wall Street Journal reported. Graham said in an interview with Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo on “Sunday Morning Futures” that he remains “optimistic” that “historic solutions” can still be reached on Syria.

Gabbard reveals theory on why Hillary Clinton, DNC are pummeling her with ‘smears’
Speaking directly to the camera in a video message posted on social media on Sunday, 2020 presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard suggested that Hillary Clinton recently “smeared” her as a “Russian asset” as payback for Gabbard’s defiance of the party establishment in 2016.

“If they can falsely portray me as a traitor, then they can do it to anyone — and in fact, that’s exactly the message they want to get across to you,” Gabbard, a Democrat, said in the video. “If you stand up to Hillary and the party power brokers — if you stand up to the rich and powerful elite and the war machine, they will destroy you and discredit your message. But, here is the truth: They will not intimidate us. They will not silence us.” Click here for more.

Romney takes shots at Trump over Syria, race
Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, took a series of shots at President Trump in an interview that aired Sunday, claiming that under his leadership, the U.S. was abandoning allied Kurdish fighters in Syria and that some of the president’s rhetoric appealed to racism. Romney and Trump have feuded off-and-on over the years, with the president regularly saying that former governor of Massachusetts “choked” in his bid to unseat President Obama in 2012. Warren says she’ll reveal plan to pay for ‘Medicare-for-all’ soon, amid middle-class tax hike fears
Sen. Elizabeth Warren said Sunday that in the upcoming weeks she would detail how to pay for her proposal for a government-run “Medicare-for-all” plan. The new 2020 Democratic frontrunner said at a town hall in Indianola, Iowa: “What I see … is that we need to talk about the cost, and I plan over the next few weeks to put out a plan that talks about specifically the cost of ‘Medicare-for-all,’ and specifically how we pay for it.”

Estimates place the 10-year cost of the “Medicare-for-all” plans at $32-34 trillion. Warren came under attack from her 2020 White House rivals at last week’s primary debate over her refusal to discuss whether taxes would go up for Americans to pay for her proposal.

Ohio mom discovers home-invader about to give her 2-year-old a bath

An Ohio mom says she was horrified to discover an intruder inside her home preparing a bath for her 2-year-old son, according to a report.

Areica Hill said she woke up to find another woman in her Columbus home on Wednesday trying to give her son a bath, news station WCMH-TV reported.

“I get up and I walk to my door and the way my house is set up, I can look down the hall,” Hill said. “I see a white female lady, bent over the tub, with my 2-year-old in the tub.”

Hill said she got the woman away from her child then her boyfriend restrained the stranger until authorities arrived.

The alleged intruder, who was identified as 22-year-old Elizabeth Hixon, has been arrested and charged with burglary, WCMH-TV reported.

Tornado rips through Dallas, leaving significant damage and thousands without power

A tornado ripped through Dallas Sunday night, leaving a trail of heavy damage across the area, including collapsed buildings and downed power lines.

The damage, estimated to have stretched 17 miles long, left more than 95,000 people without power. No major injuries have yet to be reported, however, first responders were going door to door in some neighborhoods to check on residents, according to The Dallas Morning News.

The National Weather Service has warned of continued high winds and hail.

Videos uploaded on social media revealed the tornado’s size and impact, including one video showing a large funnel cloud over the city. Other footage and photos showed numerous collapses and damage to homes.

Debris from trees and roofing were left on streets after light poles and power lines were knocked down by the force of the tornado’s winds. Dallas Fire-Rescue crews responded to structural collapse in northwest Dallas, the Morning News reports, as well as calls of people hurt from broken glass in their homes. A Home Depot reportedly took a direct hit, with its roof collapsing and water bursting from pipes that were ripped from the walls.

The tornado also hit near the home of former President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush. “They got lucky and are praying for the safety of their neighbors around DFW,” a spokesman said, according to reporter Jack Fink.
