Showbiz legend Barbra Streisand flew her three prized pooches on a 10,000 mile roundtrip to watch her perform at London’s Hyde Park on Sunday night.

The singer, 77, had her poodles Miss Scarlet, Miss Violet and Fanny with her waiting in the wings in a custom dog buggy with a dedicated VIP escort for them backstage.

She performed for 65,000 punters at British Summertime with Posh and Becks in the crowd alongside Spanish film star Antonio Banderas, 58, and actor Richard E Grant, 62.

The dogs even made a brief appearance on stage when Babs admitted they weren’t “into show business.”

A backstage source told The Sun: “There was no expense spared for her three beloved pets in the backstage area.

“They had free roam of her dressing room and a dedicated member of staff to push them in the buggy or walk them round at their free will.Barbra adores them all and would never travel with out them, fans were even queuing up for selfies with them.”

The “Woman in Love” hitmaker had Miss Scarlet and Miss Violet cloned from their mother Samantha, a white Coton de Tulear breed, before she died in 2017.

Fanny is from Samantha’s breeder.

Last month Barbra took the dogs to visit their mother’s grave and posted the event on Instagram with the caption: “The twins Scarlet and Violet honoring their mom (with cousin Fanny in the center!)”

Minnesota cat recovering after sneaking into washing machine, survives wash cycle

A Minnesota cat miraculously survived after sneaking into a washing machine — where it stayed for about an hour.

Stefani Carroll-Kirchoff, from Maplewood, a suburb of St. Paul, said she was doing her laundry on Wednesday when her one-year-old cat, Felix, jumped inside the washing machine while the door was open.

“I must have turned my back for a few minutes folding clothes and he apparently went in there when I wasn’t looking,” Carroll-Kirchoff told Fox News.

MYSTERIOUS ‘CAT-FOX’ DISCOVERED, MAY BE A NEW SPECIES

“It’s horrific. It’s absolutely horrific,” she added.

Carroll-Kirchoff said she hasn’t been able to sleep since the incident.

“This will haunt me for the rest of my life,” she said. “It’s the most traumatic experience.”

Her daughter, Asha Carroll McCullough, described her mother as a “devoted animal lover” and said her mom called her immediately after she realized what had happened.

“She was crying so hard I couldn’t understand what she was saying and she said Felix went through the washing machine,” Carroll McCullough said.

She told Fox News her mother went upstairs after starting the laundry and came back down after an hour. When she opened the door of the washing machine she realized Felix was inside the whole time.

“All of a sudden she heard a meow and saw a little white foot. The way she describes it was she was just in shock and she immediately phoned my grandpa and said come with me to vet,” Carroll McCullough.

She said within minutes her mother and grandfather “raced to the vet.”

When they arrived at the Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Minnesota, veterinarians said Felix was in critical condition. They told Carroll-Kirchoff “it’s rare that cats make it through something like this,” according to Carroll McCullough.

She said Felix was still in critical condition and veterinarians immediately put the cat on oxygen support and administered intravenous therapy.

“I will do anything I can for him to stay alive,” Carroll-Kirchoff said. “After what he’s been through, I feel like we owe it to him.”

Her daughter told Fox News that Felix’s recuperation required 24 hours a day in an oxygen chamber.

She said the therapy seemed to be working. The cat’s vision was returning and the animal had started to eat again.

She said veterinarians told them Felix’s recovery likely would take a few weeks.

Carroll McCullough said the oxygen chamber has cost about $1,000 per day and since her mother did not have pet insurance, she started a GoFundMe campaign to help cover the cost.

“He’s doing remarkably well,” said Carroll-Kirchoff.

“We feel so, so lucky. He is the miracle cat,” her daughter said.

Scamp the Tramp wins World’s Ugliest Dog Contest

Amid a sea of snaggleteeth, bug eyes and slobbery, hanging tongues, the World’s Ugliest Dog Contest crowned a new champion.

Scamp the Tramp tunneled his unsightly little face into the hearts of the Northern California judges Friday to win $1,500 — plus another $1,500 to donate to an animal shelter.

Orlando Bloom had his dog’s skeleton mounted at home

Orlando Bloom has revealed that he still has his dog’s skeleton preserved and wishes him goodnight.

The actor, 42, opened up about having the remains of his beloved pooch Sidi at his home during a recent interview.

He told Dog’s Monthly: “He was a great companion and I was very upset when he died. I had his skeleton mounted so that he stays with me.”

“I know that sounds a little odd to some people, but it is quite tastefully done and I still get to say goodnight to him.”

Orlando rescued the black Saluki mix in 2004, after meeting him as a stray while filming “Kingdom of Heaven” in Morrocco.

The actor was regularly spotted walking Sidi in New York before his death, however, in 2015 revealed that the dog was suffering from liver disease on Instagram and he died a year later.

The actor has since gone on to adopt new pup Mighty, who he regularly shares photos of on his social media and confessed that he is a keen animal lover.

He admitted: “‘I’m British and we are a nation of dog lovers. But even if I wasn’t British, I would still be an animal lover and especially a dog lover – I just cannot help myself.”

It seems a love of animals is one of the many things that Orlando and fiance Katy Perry have got in common too, as the singer regularly posts snaps with her Teacup Poodle, Nugget.

The couple got engaged in February after dating on and off for the past few years.

And sources previously revealed how the star couple are set to say their vows at a theme park.

They said: “She is busily planning the wedding of her dreams and is taking charge of the creative side.

“Money is no object when it comes to bringing the bride’s fantasies to life. She wants to exchange vows at Cinderella’s Castle at Disney World in Florida.”

Katy has also spoken about her desire to have Lionel Richie perform at her wedding during an interview to promote American Idol – where the pair both serve as judges.

She said: “You can sing at our wedding. For free!”

Lionel replied: “By the way, I don’t mind that. I am so into our little marriage here, that I’ve gotta tell you I just feel like we’re part of the family.”

Katy recently revealed how Orlando extravagantly popped the question in a helicopter – but things didn’t quite go to plan.

She confessed: “It was Valentine’s Day. We went to dinner and I thought we were going to see some art after dinner but we pulled up to a helicopter.

“The funny part is we had champagne in the helicopter and the [ring] box was in his pocket and he had written down everything he wanted to say on a note to divert.”

But his plan to distract Katie with his romantic note fell flat when he struggled to remove the large ring box from his coat pocket.

Katy quipped: “He’s pulling out this box that’s too big for his coat pocket and he rips his coat pocket and then his elbow goes into the champagne!”

Man puffed on cigarette after repeated kicks left kitten dazed and ‘trembling’: police

An Arizona man was arrested Tuesday after he was captured on surveillance footage chasing a 6-week-old kitten around a parking lot and repeatedly kicking it, police said.

Nicholas Calfy, 23, reportedly faces felony charges of animal cruelty, drug possession, and drug paraphernalia possession.

The alleged kitten abuse took place in a parking lot in Mesa, about 20 miles east of Phoenix. The video shows Calfy taking off his shirt before chasing the kitten around the parking lot, police said. Calfy then corners the kitten, covers it with his shirt and kicks it multiple times, according to the police report.

“He repositioned the kitten back into the corner between each kick. The kitten was then observed in a dazed condition and could no longer run or defend itself from the defendant,” the police report says. “The kitten was observed laying on the ground trembling.”

Calfy was later seen looking at the kitten while smoking a cigarette and providing no medical assistance, police said. Staff members found the kitten alive in the same position eight hours later and took it to a veterinary center.

The vet said the kitten had suffered head trauma, trauma-induced hyphema, and neurologic tremors. The animal survived and was taken in by a family, KTVK-TV of Phoenix reported.

Calfy admitted it was him when shown a photo, the police report said. He said he was drunk at the time and didn’t remember a kitten from the above time and date, according to the report.

A search of his backpack yielded a piece of foil “that contained a usable amount of white crystal substance,” which tested positive for methamphetamine, police said. Calfy was arrested but later released on his own recognizance. He’s due back in court later this month, KTVK reported.

A Florida homeless man was arrested on animal cruelty charges Wednesday after allegedly dragging a pit bull behind his pick-up truck, badly injuring the dog.

Police said Gregory Tousignant, 58, was driving while his pit bull was standing in the bed of the truck. Witnesses saw the 1-year-old pup named Ollie jump from the truck, and then get dragged by a rope tied to his collar before slipping out of the collar.

Michael Terry, a spokesman for the Hernando Sheriff’s Office, said it did not appear that the dog’s owner intentionally dragged the dog behind the truck to harm him. It is illegal in the state of Florida to transport an animal in the bed of a truck if it is not properly secured.

Nonetheless, Tousignant is charged with animal cruelty, which carries a $1,000 bond, Fox 35 reported.

John McCain’s dog, who died last month in Arizona, drowned after getting his head stuck in a pipe, the late senator’s wife recently revealed.

Burma, McCain’s beloved sidekick, died on the family’s property near Sedona, Cindy McCain said. When news of the dog’s death was publicized last month, she described it as a “freak” incident.

FLASHBACK: MCCAIN FAMILY SAYS JOHN’S BELOVED DOG PASSED AWAY IN ‘TRAGIC ACCIDENT’

“It’s weird — she had never done this before — she ran into a pipe,” Cindy McCain told The Arizona Republic. “You know, we have a series of ponds on our property … and she ran into the pipe and she got stuck.”

She added that Burma “drowned, and eventually, her body came out the other end of the pipe.”

“It’s devastating. She was John’s dog, period, and so what makes me feel better is I know she’s with him now,” she said of Burma.

Meghan McCain, daughter of the 2008 GOP presidential nominee and current co-host of ABC’s “The View,” wrote on Instagram that the dog “was absolutely and truly devoted to him.”

“She would never leave his side, followed him around every single step when he would walk around our ranch, slept by his side every night and we always said Chesapeake bay retrievers were the most affectionate breed of dogs,” she continued.

McCain spent the last year of his life with the beloved Chesapeake Bay retriever. He died in August after a battle with brain cancer.

Summer is the time to enjoy being outside with your pet, but just because you love frolicking the park doesn’t mean you should put your guard down completely.

Both your health and your pet’s health should always be a top priority, and veterinarian Dr. Evan Antin, star of the Animal Planet show “Evan Goes Wild,” spoke to Fox News about a number of ways to keep your pet away from the vet.

First things first, pet owners need to wash their pet’s bowls and toys because those items can be covered with dangerous bacteria.

Dr. Antin recommends cleaning them with a diluted bleach solution containing Clorox Regular Bleach₂ and Clorox Clean-Up Cleaner + Bleach and then rinsing with water to prevent bacteria spreading in the household.

Another thing he advocates for is vaccination to prevent your pet from catching deadly viruses like canine parvo. Dr. Antin is also aware of some pet health trends gaining popularity and isn’t a fan of some of those either.

“There’s a lot of people that are really keen on raw diets and not many vets are going to recommend that,” he explained. He said that when people follow a homecooked diet, owners aren’t providing “adequate micronutrients” for their animals. With raw diets, owners also could be passing along “bacterial pathogens” that put the pet and the family at risk of contracting E.coli or salmonella.

LABRADOR RETRIEVER MOST POPULAR US DOG BREED FOR 28TH YEAR

Besides promoting good pet health, Dr. Antin is hard at work on this new Animal Planet show, “Evan Goes Wild,” which just wrapped its freshman season. The vet hopes to get picked up again because he loves working and learning about exotic animals.

One species he’s particularly interested in highlighting are sharks because they “get a bad rap.”

And he’d love to do a crossover episode with the Irwin family down in Australia. Dr. Antin idolized the late conservationist Steve Irwin while growing up and got the idea of one day creating his own show because of Irwin’s work in front of the camera.

DOG OWNERS ARE FOUR TIMES MORE LIKELY TO LEAD AN ACTIVE LIFESTYLE, STUDY CLAIMS

When Dr. Antin isn’t traveling, he’s back in Southern California working at Conejo Valley Veterinary Hospital seeing patients of all shapes and sizes.

“I don’t mind a bit of pond hopping but banging on my windows and glass door is not cool,” Heiss said of the “aggressive” gator.

Heiss also wrote that she has a small dog, Max, who was “hiding” during the encounter.

“If I had taken Max out, I would no longer had him,” she said.

Heiss later confirmed that a trapper who was called to remove the gator estimated it to be between 7 and 8 feet long. She also assured her friends and followers that she hadn’t left food out or anything like that, as it’s mating season.

“It was truly terrifying and people need to be aware,” Heiss wrote.

Camels get a little stir-crazy too, it seems.

A man in Muskegon, Mich., took his pet camel Jeffrey on a trip to his local PetSmart in order to get the animal more accustomed to traveling in its trailer.

Scott Lewis, the man who co-owns Jeffrey with wife Cindy, traveled up from the Lewis Farms & Petting Zoo in nearby New Era on Sunday, with the 11-year-old, 1,400-pound camel in tow. And in footage of the trip shared to Facebook, both appeared to be warmly greeted by shoppers and employees alike.

“Jeffrey really loved his little shopping expedition, he just adores meeting new people, he’s very social,” said Jenny Ferels, the brand ambassador for the Lewis Farms & Petting Zoo, according to SWNS.

Jeffrey’s visit wasn’t solely for fun, though. He was actually practicing for a trip to a facility where he can be accurately weighed for health purposes, Ferels confirmed to Fox News.

Photos later shared to the Lewis Farms Facebook page show Jeffrey also visited local landmarks in New Era, including a dentist’s office, a Chevrolet dealership and a feed and grain store, where he was ultimately weighed.

“He’s a ham,” Ferels told SWNS of Jeffrey, which the zoo has kept since he was a baby. “We hold a birthday party for him every year, we hire a band and he gets to eat the first slice of cake, he gets icing all over his lips.”
