Ten Connecticut high school students were arrested after participating in a food fight so wild it left a teacher injured and a school resource officer hospitalized, officials said.

The “out of control” ordeal took place at Westhill High School in Stamford on Friday after students planned the fight and circulated it on social media, the Stamford Police Department said in a news release.

The fight included “hundreds of students running out of the school, many throwing eggs, water and soda cans,” in addition to “a few skirmishes.”

The situation was so chaotic that investigators said a school resource officer who was hit in the head with a full can of soda had to be transported to the ER and treated for a laceration and a concussion. A teacher at the high school was injured after “she was trampled by a mass of students.”

“We realize that the citizens, parents, teachers and vast majority of the students do not condone this behavior,” the police department wrote. “This is not the learning environment we expect and demand for our children in this City.”

Following a “countless” number of hours investigating and reviewing surveillance footage, police arrested 10 juveniles in connection to the food fight. They’re scheduled to appear in juvenile court. The department said the charges “range from Riot in the 1st degree, Breach of Peace to Reckless Endangerment and Assault on a Police Officer.”

Investigators urged parents to monitor their children’s social media accounts to prevent similar incidents.

After announcing his retirement from the National Footbal League last month, New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski left his teammates with a parting gift they’ll never forget.

The 2019 Super Bowl Champs were being honored on April 3 at Fenway Park just before the Boston Red Sox season opener when Gronkowski accidentally dented the team’s sixth Lombardi trophy when he used it as a baseball bat.

In a video posted on Twitter by the team, Gronk’s former teammate Julian Edelman was seen lining up for a pitch while he appeared to hold the Lombardi trophy like a baseball bat.

“It was all fun and games until it wasn’t,” Matthew Slater, special teams captain, said in the video mash-up.

PATRIOTS TIGHT END ROB GRONKOWSKI ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT ON INSTAGRAM

Jason McCourty, a cornerback for the Patriots, said everyone figured the pair was pretending.

“No way is he going to swing the Lombardi trophy.”

But sure enough, Gronk switched from a batting stance to bunt the ball, making a loud enough sound to ensure that he made contact.

“Gronkowski’s parting gift,” McCourty said.

Defensive back Duron Harmon said that if “anybody could do it and get away with it, it’d be Mr. Gronkowski himself.”

Harmon continued, “He has now left an everlasting mark so that people will never forget that he was a part of that championship team.”

Gronkowski announced last month in an Instagram post that he would be retiring from league 9 years after the Patriots drafted him.

A Georgia man known for producing and acting in a pair of zombie movies was arrested last week and accused of physically assaulting two women, including shoving his hand into one’s mouth so she could “taste his blood.”

Eliot Ryan Rutledge, 30, was charged with felony aggravated assault and false imprisonment as well as misdemeanor battery, simple battery and disorderly conduct, The Rome News-Tribune reported, citing court documents.

Investigators said Rutledge trapped a woman at his home in August 2018 by blocking the exits, then punched, poked and elbowed her.

Eliot Rutledge was charged with assault and battery, among other counts. (Floyd County Jail.)

The documents claimed Rutledge attacked the same woman at his home between June 2017 and October 2018. On one occasion, he allegedly “choked the victim, picked her up by the neck, slammed her into the front yard of [his home], and continued to choke her once she was on the ground.”

In January of this year, investigators said Rutledge choked and bit a second woman, causing bruises and severe lacerations. Less than two weeks later, Rutledge allegedly cut his fingers before shoving them into his alleged victim’s mouth.

He was being held without bond at the Floyd County Jail in Rome, about 70 miles northwest of Atlanta.

A 61-year-old science college professor in Japan channeled his inner Walter White when he allegedly taught his students how to manufacture ecstasy to “further their knowledge” of pharmaceuticals.

Tatsunori Iwamura, a professor at Matsuyama University in Ehime prefecture, faces up to 10 years in prison for showing his pharmaceutical students to make MDMA – commonly known as ecstasy – as well as “designer drug” 5f-QUPIC, the Kyodo News Agency reported.

Sources told the news agency that Iwamura allegedly instructed his students to make ecstasy in 2013, despite not being licensed to produce the drug for academic purposes.

Japan requires researchers to obtain a license from regional authorities to manufacture illegal drugs for academic purposes. Kyodo reported that Iwamura’s government-issued license had expired.

‘BREAKING BAD’ TEACHER GOING TO PRISON FOR MAKING METH

Eleven of Iwamura’s former students were suspected of being involved in producing the illegal drugs, the university told Kyodo news. Four of those students, plus an assistant professor, are under investigation by prosecutors.

The drugs they produced have not been found, but traces of other drugs were discovered in the laboratory used by Iwamura and his students.

“We sincerely apologize for causing major concern to students and their parents,” said Tatsuya Mizogami, president of the university, in a statement.

He added that the university will take disciplinary action against Iwamura and the assistant professor, who has not been identified.

Iwamura has been conducting research on what are called dangerous drugs in Japan, sources told the Kyodo news agency.

Walter White is the main character in the critically acclaimed TV show Breaking Bad. White, a mild-mannered chemistry teacher played by Bryan Cranston, turns to a life of drug manufacturing and dealing in a desperate bid to earn money after learning he has terminal cancer.

It’s a tried and true tradition, as for instance, in Vice, Amanda Knox talked about a special friendship she had with a female inmate, which was about companionship more than anything else.

“I can do things to you that no man can,” Knox said a drug-dealing woman told her in seduction.

“I was cautiously friendly. We walked the perimeter together. She told me she was a lesbian and I told her I was straight,” Knox wrote about the fellow inmate.

Knox made headlines in 2007 after she was accused of killing her roommate Meredith Kercher in the apartment they shared with two other students in Perugia, Italy. Knox was found guilty in 2009 but acquitted and freed in 2011 after spending nearly four years in prison. She returned to the United States after the 2011 ruling that freed her, but she was sentenced in absentia to prison again in 2014 – until Italy’s highest court overturned that decision in 2015, ending the possibility of future trials.

The multimillionaire co-founder of CrossFit is set to wed her childhood crush — who is currently jailed for allegedly stabbing someone to death at a treehouse shanty in 2017.

Lauren Jenai, who founded the popular exercise regimen with her then-husband Greg Glassman, reconnected with childhood pal Franklin Tyrone Tucker on Facebook after her messy split from the fitness guru. The friendship soon turned romantic, and the two decided to wed at the Monroe County jail where Tucker has awaited trial for murder. Jenai said that, when the two reconnected, they hadn’t seen each other in 30 years, since they were children growing up in Philadelphia.

Jenai, who reportedly sold up to $20 million in CrossFit shares as a result of her 2013 divorce, said she didn’t plan to implement a prenup in her marriage to Tucker.

“Our relationship is very open and we are a team,” she said. “I trust him. I love him. My house is his house. A prenup feels a little inappropriate.”

That seems more realistic than the tale of Parkland massacre gunman Nikolas Cruz, who wrote love letters from jail to a woman in the United Kingdom detailing his desire to get married and have children named after guns, while also contemplating death and the death penalty — all while avoiding writing a single word about the 17 people he confessed to killing on Feb. 14, 2018. Cruz’s handwritten letters were peppered with drawings and misspelled words and addressed to a woman named “Miley,” a cyber-supporter who helped start the Facebook group “The First Victim,” in reference to Cruz.

“I also want to know if you would be at my trial or [illegible]. I’m hoping you are because I really want to meet you and it would make me happy,” Cruz wrote.

Cruz said in one letter that talking about the deadly shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School “would be a bad idea,” but advised Miley to listen to Foster the People’s song “Pumped Up Kicks,” about a school shooting. It included the lyrics: “All the other kids with the pumped up kicks/You’d better run, better run, outrun my gun.”

The brothers have been serving life sentences for killing their parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez, in their Beverly Hills mansion.

A woman in Texas allegedly assaulted her common-law husband after he didn’t respond when she asked if she was pretty.

Lizeth Guadalupe Ramirez, 20, was arrested late Tuesday after the alleged incident, the Laredo Morning Times reported, citing police. She allegedly told investigators the man assaulted her and tried to strangle her.

However, the common-law husband reportedly told a different story, telling police the couple was at a movie theater when she asked him if she looked pretty.

Ramirez’s husband said he didn’t respond — as he didn’t hear her — which upset Ramirez, and prompted them to leave the theater.

During their ride home, Ramirez’s husband claimed she allegedly hit him repeatedly. At their home, she allegedly continued to hit him and even assaulted a family member who tried to intervene, according to the news outlet.

Ramirez was charged with two counts of assault and family violence, online Webb County jail records indicated.

The Newtown Police Department told FOX61 they were dispatched to the home after residents said a naked man they did not know was wandering around their home.

The residents were out shopping in the morning and returned home to find 35-year-old Joseph Achenbach of Watertown inside.

Chaos at Walmart as woman performs karate, son exposes himself, dog steals food, police say

Chaos descended on a Wisconsin Walmart store Wednesday night after a karate-performing mother, her naked son, and their belligerent dog shoplifted and ran amok in the store.

The Eau Claire Police Department said on social media that the officers responded to a call that a woman, Lisa Smith, 46, and her dog “Bo” shoplifted items from the store. The woman’s son, 26-year-old Benny Vann, was causing chaos in the store as well.

Police learned that Smith came into the shop with Bo unleashed, with the dog immediately running off towards customers while the woman was pulling apart displays in the store and placing them in her cart.

After being told to leave the store, the woman began showing off her karate moves in the parking lot to fend off police officers.

The dog tried to flee the crime scene, albeit unsuccessfully, with a box of Jiffy Cornbread Muffin Mix in his mouth.

After a brief fight with the officers, Smith was arrested. As a last-ditch attempt, she tried to kick a window out of a police car.

Her raucous son, meanwhile, was getting fully naked and began exposing himself to other customers at the store. He then tried to cover himself with new clothes from the store without intending to pay for them, police said.

After officers confronted Vann, he threatened to run over them with his scooter, prompting the police to use physical force to stop the scooter and arrest the man.

The mother was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and misdemeanor bail jumping. The son is facing charges of lewd and lascivious behavior, disorderly conduct and retail theft.

The only character to get off scot-free is Bo, the dog.

“Bo was caught by Officers in the store and brought to the Humane Association. The dog was not charged – we issued him a warning for the theft,” police said in a statement.

Animal rescuers in England shifted into high gear on Monday in search of a possibly injured fox — only to learn the animal was not what it seemed.

Ellie Burt, an officer with the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA), said a resident in Devon, a city roughly 200 miles southwest of London, became worried about the fox, which had been hiding in a bush.

The local said the fox was acting lethargic before it collapsed and hadn’t moved in days, according to a news release from the animal organization obtained by Fox News.

Rescuers asked the Good Samaritan to attempt the “broom test” with the fox to see if it was still alive, and they “were told that it didn’t move but tracked them with its eyes and seemed to be breathing well.”

Burt traveled to the fox, with the hope that it could be saved. When she got to the scene, she said she quickly learned “this wasn’t a live fox — but a dead fox who’d been stuffed by a taxidermist.”

“He’d clearly been placed under a bush outside of the houses as a prank,” Burt said. “After speaking to some of the neighbors, I soon discovered that someone had been moving it around the neighborhood.”

The RSPCA said Burt discarded the fox “to avoid any further calls.”
