‘Piece of garbage’: Donald Trump Jr. slams Tom Arnold over lament he and brother Eric haven’t been robbed

Donald Trump Jr. had some strong words for actor Tom Arnold Friday after he lamented that the president’s eldest son and his brother Eric weren’t robbed.

“No we just get daily death threats and exploding packages of white powder sent to our homes you piece of garbage,” Trump Jr. tweeted on Friday.

Their exchange emanated from President Trump’s decision to tweet about an attempted robbery at the home of Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., whose district Trump has criticized as “a disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess.”

Trump received backlash from his own former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley as well as Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J. over that tweet. “This is so unnecessary,” Haley tweeted with an eyeroll emoji.

TOM ARNOLD GETS POLITICAL AFTER ACCEPTING GAY PRIDE AWARD, URGES ANTI-TRUMPERS TO SUPPORT PELOSI

Trump’s critics appeared to see his tweet as an attempt to reinforce his argument that Baltimore was a “very dangerous & filthy place.”

Arnold seemed to want to make the issue personal by invoking the president’s sons Eric and Don. “Don Jr’s NYC apartment has not been robbed yet! Eric Trump’s either! Really bad news!!” he tweeted.

More from Media

As Trump Jr. mentioned, he and other members of the Trump family have received numerous threats after his father took the White House. Back in 2018, Trump’s then-wife Vanessa went to the hospital after opening a letter that contained white powder.

Arnold has a long history of anti-Trump activism, calling him “racist” and a “knucklehead,” among other things. The 60-year-old actor also caught headlines when he leaked a phone conversation between him and Trump’s embattled former attorney Michael Cohen.

TOM ARNOLD SAYS ROSEANNE ‘WASN’T RACIST’ WHEN HE WAS WITH HER

At the end of 2018, Arnold revealed that he received a visit from the Secret Service after challenging the president to a fight. Arnold was cooperative with the agents and explained that he understood the ramifications of his posts.

“I did see a crazy reaction to it from people,” Arnold admitted. “I get a lot of death threats. There’s a certain element — I don’t know if they’re bots — I just ignore it … But I also see how they take something and they blow it up like, ‘He is literally threatening to …’ And I find that absurd, but I can see how obviously if people are tweeting … they can call you guys and have you come over. That’s ridiculous, but I understand why you’re here.”

Lara Trump lashes out after CNN host accuses her of ‘lying’ about rally crowd’s ‘Send her back!’ chant

Lara Trump fired back Saturday against critics who’ve asserted that the “Send her back!” chant at President Trump’s recent rally in North Carolina was planned, instead of a spontaneous crowd response.

“Anyone insinuating that there was some premeditated plan to orchestrate the ‘send her back’ chant is obviously desperate to continue pushing a biased, racially-charged narrative,” the president’s daughter-in-law wrote on Twitter on Saturday.

“Anyone insinuating that there was some premeditated plan to orchestrate the ‘send her back’ chant is obviously desperate to continue pushing a biased, racially-charged narrative.”

— Lara Trump

She added the hashtag, #FakeNews.

Lara Trump’s message was in response to a Saturday article in the Washington Examiner that reported CNN’s Anderson Cooper had criticized her on Friday’s edition of his nightly program, “Anderson Cooper 360.”

TRUMP SLAMS PROGRESSIVE CONGRESSWOMEN AT FIERY ‘MAGA’ RALLY IN NORTH CAROLINA

“She’s just friggin’ lying,” Cooper said at one point, accusing the wife of Eric Trump of misrepresenting the North Carolina situation during her interview earlier Friday on Fox Business, the Examiner reported.

“She’s just friggin’ lying.”

— CNN’s Anderson Cooper

Lara Trump had said that the “send her back” chant – which the crowd directed at Somali-born U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn. – was not prompted and that President Trump did not join in.

Lara Trump took issue with some remarks that CNN’s Anderson Cooper made Friday, according to a report.

“It wasn’t the whole crowd,” she added. “It was just a couple of people right there in the front, but [the president] didn’t say it.”

But Cooper argued that Lara Trump had “primed” the crowd during her warm-up speech prior to the president’s appearance Wednesday in Greenville, N.C., the Examiner reported.

“If you don’t love our country, the president said it, ‘You can leave,’ right?” Lara Trump is heard saying in a video clip before the president took the stage.

But Lara Trump was not shown coaching the crowd to chant, “Send her back!” — contrary to what Cooper appeared to be suggesting.

Following Wednesday’s rally, critics of President Trump latched onto the chant to advance their argument that some Twitter messages from the president earlier in the week – targeting Omar and other far-left House Democrats known as “The Squad” – were racist.

But the president pushed back against the racism argument, saying he was merely opposing what he viewed as the Democrats’ negative attitudes toward America – and that his tweets had nothing to do with race.

“I was not happy with it, I disagree with it,” President Trump said Thursday, referring to the rally crowd’s “Send her back!” chant. “But again, I didn’t say that, they did.”

Stephen Colbert mocks Eric Trump’s physical appearance in harsh monologue

Late night host Stephen Colbert attacked Eric Trump’s physical appearance on Wednesday after the president’s son defended his father on “Fox & Friends.”

“Perhaps the dullest knife in the Republican drawer is (a) presidential son and man who has got big gums and he cannot lie,” Colbert said while an image of the younger Trump appeared on the screen.

After his show aired the clip, it then showed Colbert with his upper lip raised to reveal his front teeth. “95 percent is behind my dad, okay?” Colbert said, mocking Trump.

Trump had told “Fox & Friends” that 95 percent of Americans supported his father on certain issues.

“You better check my math,” Colbert said, continuing to mock Trump. “He lost the popular vote, okay? Lowest approval rating of all time and… it’s a bunny! Hi, Mr. Bunny!” Colbert said, as he held up two fingers. “Dad, can I keep him? Wait, come back, come back Mr. Bunny!” Colbert continued in an apparent attempt to suggest Eric Trump was easily distracted.

This was just the latest attack Colbert lobbed at the president but on Wednesday, he also took a shot at one of the president’s favorite targets: CNN.

His show compiled a video mocking CNN’s preview for the next Democratic debates. The mock preview joked about CNN picking candidates based on goofy processes like whether photos of them stuck to CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer’s chest.

“Will it be Wolf Blitzer slathered in honey and rolled in candidate photographs? Whoever sticks to his chest is on the first night, on his a– the second,” the narrator said.

It also showed CNN host Chris Cuomo sitting on a nest of eggs. “The order they hatch is the order they’re drawn,” he said.

Liberal comedian Rosie O’Donnell viciously went after top White House advisor and First Daughter Ivanka Trump, calling her “talentless” and suggesting she has an incestuous relationship with her father.

Appearing on the “The Michelangelo Signorile Show” on SiriusXM, the conversation began with Ivanka Trump’s heavy presence at the G20 Summit in Japan and President Trump‘s past remarks predicting that his daughter would be the first president.

“Oh, dear lord,” O’Donnell reacted.

“Talk a little bit about Ivanka Trump and what Donald Trump is doing with her,” host Michelangelo Signorile said.

“I don’t know what he’s doing with her…” the former daytime talk show host responded.

“I mean, politically,” Signorile clarified with a chuckle.

“I think he’s been doing bad things with her for a very long time,” O’Donnell explained. “There’s a creepy, incest feel that is very prevalent amongst Donald Trump and his children, or at least his daughter. Very creepy.”

The “Sleepless in Seattle” star, who wore a shirt in support of Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass, at the interview, held no punches against the president’s daughter.

“I think she’s like, you know a talentless, non-intelligent non-powerful woman,” she continued. “And, I think she’s- it’s laughable to think of her in any kind of public service role. No one in his family has ever been in public service. Why should they start now?”

U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is apparently not happy that first daughter Ivanka Trump accompanied her father on his trip to the G-20 summit.

The Democrat from New York commented on Twitter late Saturday after a BBC reporter posted a video showing Ivanka Trump alongside her father in a G-20 discussion that included French President Emmanuel Macron, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and other leaders.

“It may be shocking to some, but being someone’s daughter actually isn’t a career qualification,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote on Twitter. “It hurts our diplomatic standing when the President phones it in & the world moves on. The US needs our President working the G20. Bringing a qualified diplomat couldn’t hurt either.”

During the global event in Osaka, Japan, Ivanka Trump represented the U.S. in meetings with leaders from China, Japan, Russia, India and Australia, the South China Morning Post reported.

She also led the U.S. delegation in a special discussion on women’s economic empowerment.

Before traveling to Asia, Ivanka Trump noted that the U.S. was the only country planning to bring an entirely female negotiating team to G-20.

Prior to her father taking office in 2017, Ivanka Trump, 37, was an executive vice president with the Trump Organization.

While other critics besides Ocasio-Cortez have criticized the president for giving roles in his administration to his daughter and her husband, Jared Kushner, Ocasio-Cortez has faced complaints regarding her boyfriend, Riley Roberts.

Earlier this year it was revealed that Roberts had received $6,000 from a political action committee linked to Ocasio-Cortez during her congressional campaign.

The Federal Election Commission recently told the PAC, Justice Democrats, that it has opened an investigation into the allegation as well as other claims, Independent Journal Review reported.

Eric Trump says “it’s a joke” that Democrats want to give free health care and other benefits to illegal immigrants and predicted the platform will “backfire” on the 2020 presidential candidates.

The son of President Trump made the remarks Saturday during an appearance on Fox News’ “Justice with Judge Jeanine.”

“When they’re talking about giving illegal immigrants, people who came to this country illegally, paying for everything for everybody, not having any real proposals on how it’s actually going to get paid for, how it’s going to get funded, they’re not taking care of the citizens of their own country,” Trump told host Jeanine Pirro.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS SHOULD GET HEALTH CARE, SAY DEMS IN NIGHT 2 DEBATE

“That’s a real problem and I think it’s going to backfire on them,” he added.

Trump’s comments came in response to the first Democratic debates that took place Wednesday and Thursday nights in Miami, where numerous candidates said they would provide health care benefits to illegal immigrants as well as all American citizens if elected president in 2020.

Each debate featured a different group of 10 candidates. On Thursday, all 10 candidates pledged they would give health care benefits to illegal immigrants.

“This is not about a handout,” Pete Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, Ind., insisted. “This is an insurance program. We do ourselves no favors by having 11 million undocumented people in our country be unable to access health care.

“The real problem is we shouldn’t have 11 million undocumented people with no pathway to citizenship,” he continued. “It makes no sense. The American people agree on what to do. This is a crazy thing. If leadership consists of forming a consensus around a divisive issue, this White House divided us around a consensus issue. The American people want a pathway to citizenship and protections for Dreamers.”

But on Saturday, Eric Trump told Judge Jeanine that American citizens were justified in putting their own needs ahead of those of migrants.

“The reality is you have people in this country that need help,” Trump said. “You also have health care costs in this country which have gone up because ObamaCare is absolutely a disaster.

Trump said Democrats are “pandering” to different demographic groups and bashed Beto O’Rourke, the former congressman from Texas, for speaking in Spanish in his opening remarks at Wednesday’s debate.

Gutfeld: Eric Trump spitting incident shows ‘politics is now a personal vendetta’

Eric Trump’s claim that a waitress spat on him at a Chicago restaurant on Tuesday evening is proof political disagreements have become extremely charged, according to Greg Gutfeld.

The media also claims some blame for such politically-charged public incidents, Gutfeld noted Wednesday on “The Five.”

“You realize a lot of the responsibility is in the media that has raised the temperature in the last couple years,” he said.

ERIC TRUMP SAYS CHICAGO RESTAURANT EMPLOYEE SPIT ON HIM: REPORT

“The Trump family can’t possibly be as bad as the media says they are,” Gutfeld added. “That’s why politics is now a personal vendetta.”

Eric Trump said in an interview he was spat on by a restaurant worker Tuesday night in an incident he called a “disgusting act.”

“For a party that preaches tolerance, this, once again, demonstrates they have very little civility,” Eric Trump told Breitbart.

RESTAURANT GROUP RESPONDS AFTER EMPLOYEE IS ACCUSED OF SPITTING ON ERIC TRUMP, SAYS SHE’S BEEN ‘PLACED ON LEAVE’

“When somebody is sick enough to resort to spitting on someone, it just emphasizes a sickness and desperation and the fact that we’re winning,” Gutfeld added.

The “Greg Gutfeld Show” host claimed the media hurts such situations by suggesting people may gain publicity or notoriety from doing things such as this incident involving Eric Trump.

“The media makes it so that people think this might help them or make this emotionally gratifying thing by attacking somebody,” Gutfeld said. “But you just look like a loser.”

The Chicago Police Department confirmed they were at the scene “assisting” the U.S. Secret Service. They did not confirm Eric Trump was the target.

In a statement from the restaurant company which owns The Aviary, The Alinea Group, they called the altercation between Eric Trump and their employee “unfortunate.”

“No customer should ever be spit upon. We have not yet spoken with the employee, but our HR team has, in the meantime, placed her on leave,” The Alinea Group told Fox News.

Eric Trump said in an interview that he was spat on by a worker at a Chicago restaurant on Tuesday night in an incident he called a “disgusting act.”

Trump told Breitbart, “For a party that preaches tolerance, this once again demonstrates they have very little civility. When somebody is sick enough to resort to spitting on someone, it just emphasizes a sickness and desperation and the fact that we’re winning.”

Reports of the alleged assault first surfaced when Mary Ann Ahern, a political reporter for NBC 5 Chicago, reported rumors on her Twitter account. She said reports indicated that the incident occurred at the Aviary cocktail bar in the city. She said the offender was in Secret Service custody.

Trump reportedly told Breitbart that it was a “purely disgusting act by somebody who clearly has emotional problems.”

The Chicago Police Department confirmed that they were at the scene “assisting” the U.S. Secret Service. They did not confirm that Trump was the target. The Secret Service, representatives for Trump and the cocktail bar did not immediately respond to emails from Fox News.

Last year at the height of the Brett Kavanaugh hearing, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas and his wife were confronted in a restaurant and were forced to make an early exit. Kirstjen Nielsen, the former Homeland Security secretary, was similarly harassed at a restaurant around that time.
