Furious husband chops off rapist’s penis after catching him attacking wife in the street

A husband has chopped off a rapist’s penis after seeing him allegedly sexually assaulting his wife.

The 27-year-old spouse was on his way home in Shevchenkovo, a village in the eastern Kharkiv region of Ukraine, when he claimed he saw the attack.

Reports say the couple were spending time with their friends at a local restaurant. At about 1 a.m. the wife left, with her husband following ten minutes later.

But as she walked near her apartment block, the 25-year-old rapist, Dmitry Ivchenko, allegedly attacked her from behind while covering her mouth.

When the victim’s husband reached the apartment block, he heard noises coming from the bushes and claimed to see Ivchenko squeezing his victim’s throat while raping her.

The furious husband then allegedly attacked the rapist and hit him on the head with a fist, before grabbing his Swiss army knife and chopping his penis off, local media report.

Attorney Dmitry Spaskin said: “The husband lost the ability to control his actions. He did not understand what he was doing.”

The rapist’s screams woke up all the residents in the area who rushed to the scene.

The victim’s mother immediately reported Ivchenko to the police while others called an ambulance for him as he was bleeding heavily.

Mr. Spaskin said: “After the incident, the husband was in a state of shock and just walked away. He walked about 13 kilometers (eight miles) and reached a neighboring village. There he met an acquaintance and asked to drive him to a police station.”

The husband was charged with causing grievous bodily harm and put under house arrest.

He said to local media: “I cannot explain what happened to me at that moment.”

FLORIDA MAN, 22, ALLEGEDLY RAPED 10-YEAR-OLD GIRL HE MET THROUGH SNAPCHAT, POLICE SAY

Ivchenko was taken to Shevchenko District Hospital and underwent surgery.

Sergey Mitrakov, the head of the hospital’s surgical unit said: “The patient needs a long-lasting treatment.”

Doctors have not speculated on the chances to reattach the penis or whether it will work if it is.

Police were said to be investigating the rape allegations against Ivchenko. He is at the hospital under police surveillance now.

Prosecutor Tetiana Vasileva commented: “The rapist said that he was dumped by his girlfriend a week ago. On the day of the incident, he drank a liter of vodka. He is refusing to say more so far.”

The female residents of the village support the husband.

Hanna Khaustova said: “Ivchenko tried to hit on me but I told him to stop. Then he said, ‘You will regret it’. I believe any girl from our village could have become his victim. I support the husband. If he had not done it the rapist would have continued to assault girls. I am sorry for the wife. She has a hard time now.”

But he could face up to eight years in prison if found guilty and the rapist Dmitry Ivchenko faces up to five years if found guilty.

Massive car collection seized from owners of bankrupt DC Solar up for auction

An incredible collection of nearly 150 classic and modern cars is coming up for auction, but they each come with a conflicted history.

Jeff and Paulette Carpoff haven’t been charged with any crimes as of yet, according to the U.S. Attoney’s office, but their situation remains under investigation. In the meantime, the Carpoffs and the Department of Justice agreed to hold an interlocutory sale and put the proceeds into a seized asset account, rather than continue to incur expenses for the storage and maintenance of the vehicles. The sale is being handled by the U.S. Marshals Service and Apple Auctioneering Co. in Woodland, Calif.

Alabama student made bomb threat during LSU-Florida game to save friend from losing bet: police

A University of Alabama student was arrested Sunday for allegedly calling in a bomb threat at Tiger Stadium during a big conference matchup between LSU and Florida.

Connor Bruce Croll, 19, was arrested in Tuscaloosa, Ala., after allegedly making the threat, according to WBRZ-TV. Croll admitted to authorities he made the call because “his friend was on the verge of losing a large bet,” the station reported, citing a police affidavit.

Philadelphia mom admits to shooting and killing husband, two young daughters, police say

A Philadelphia mother is facing murder charges Wednesday after police say she admitted to shooting and killing her husband and two daughters – the youngest only 10 months old.

The suspect, identified by Fox 29 as Damyrra Jones, was found lying face down Monday following the incident with a gunshot wound to the head and a firearm in her hand, the station says. Police believe the gunshot wound was self-inflicted – and the 28-year-old was taken a local hospital in critical condition, where she has been held in custody ever since.

“While being transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in the back of a fire rescue unit, she admitted to shooting everyone and demanded not to be resuscitated,” Homicide Capt. Jason Smith said, according to the Associated Press.

He added that there had been “domestic discord” between the couple over child support payments.

Officers say they were called to a row home in northeast Philadelphia shortly before 10 p.m. Monday where they found a 38-year-old man dead of a gunshot wound to the head. A 4-year-old girl and a 10-month-old girl also shot in the head were rushed to a local children’s hospital, but were pronounced dead shortly afterward.

A 9mm handgun found at the scene had been legally purchased by the mother the day before the shooting, Smith said.

Authorities in Colorado are looking for a woman who robbed a liquor store in Denver last week while she was caring for two young children — one of whom helped her with the robbery, according to police.

The incident at an East Alameda Ave. liquor store occurred Oct. 9 at about 2:10 p.m., according to a Denver Police Department tweet.

The woman, who has not been identified, entered the liquor store and soon proceeded to rummage through shelves and the cash registers, “taking a large sum of money.”

The manager of the liquor store told FOX31 the woman made off with several thousand dollars, though an exact amount wasn’t made public.

Denver Police said the woman had a boy and a girl with her who both appeared to be approximately 6 years old. The 6-year-old boy helped in the search for cash behind the counter of the store, according to police.

Police released a photo of the woman caught on surveillance cameras as she spoke on her phone and walked through the store.

Before hitting the liquor store, the woman also walked into a convenience store in the same strip mall and allegedly used her children there, too, as a diversion while she pilfered items such as lotion and body wash.

“It’s not an excuse to use your kids to do such a thing,” the manager of the convenience store told FOX31.

Authorities in Los Angeles on Tuesday responded to a fight that broke out inside a movie theater during a screening of Todd Phillip’s “Joker,” a report said.

The fight broke out at AMC Burbank at about 8:54 p.m. local time, the Hollywood Reporter reported. The magazine reported that the fight included four individuals. One man appeared to suffer a head injury and there was an unconfirmed report that a glass bottle was used during the melee.

The movie itself has been criticized as excessively violent.

Five family members of people killed or injured in the Aurora shooting recently sent a letter to Warner Bros. CEO Ann Sarnoff. In it, they voiced concerns about sympathetic portrayals of villains and asked the studio to help end gun violence.

Police are investigating the fight as an assault with a deadly weapon, THR reported.

Alaska woman gets 60 years for setting couch ablaze with boyfriend on it

An Alaska woman who poured gasoline on a couch where her boyfriend lay and set it on fire before shutting the door and fleeing the apartment will spend 60 years behind bars for first-degree murder.

Gina Virgilio, 32, sat with her face buried in her hands as Anchorage Superior Court Judge Michael Wolverton announced the sentence for the 2012 death of Michael Gonzalez.

Before sentencing, Virgilio indicated to the judge that mental illness drove her to this act.

“I hate me for what I did. I can never bring him back,” Virgilio said.

Gonzalez family members gave emotional victim impact statements to the court on Oct. 4. The rest of the sentencing phase was continued to Monday.

Virgilio entered a plea deal earlier this year, and the state agreed to a sentence of 30 to 70 years. But during sentencing Monday, the state pushed for 70 years, noting circumstances of the crime warranted the higher end.

Speaking on her behalf Monday, Virgilio’s brother Reginald Carney, said she began to change after she started experimenting with drugs – everything from Oxycontin and marijuana to cocaine – at about age 20. She later graduated to intravenous meth use.

ARKANSAS WOMAN CLAIMS BROTHER FED HER ‘METH SANDWICH’

“Her brain was fried from the meth,” said Virgilio’s public defender, Craig Howard.

She lost weight, kept a distance from loved ones and once tried to kill her child. She also became obsessed with fire, Howard said.

On the night of June 7, 2012, Virgilio and Gonzalez held a party for Gonzalez’s 24th birthday. While he passed out or fell asleep on the couch early the next morning, she found a gas can and walked a quarter-mile to the nearest gas station to fill it.
