Now there’s apparently no guys.

Five guys were arrested at a Five Guys Burgers and Fries in Florida after allegedly getting into a fistfight, authorities said.

The Stuart Police Department announced the arrests on Facebook: “Five guys were involved in the fight, and those five guys found themselves under arrest,”

A witness said a cup was thrown and a door slammed in someone’s face before an “all-out brawl” broke out, according to an arrest report. The cause of the fight is unknown.

Three male juveniles and two adult men were charged with affray and processed at the Martin County Jail, police said. Florida law defines affray as a first degree misdemeanor charge resulting from two or more people fighting in a public place and disturbing the peace, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

Florida‘s public schools will be required to give students at least five hours of instruction on mental health issues beginning in 6th grade after the state’s board of education approved changes to the curriculum Wednesday.

The News Service of Florida reports that students will have to take classes “aimed at helping them to identify the signs and symptoms of mental illness, find resources if they are battling with depression or other issues, and teach them how to help peers who are struggling with a mental health disorder.”

The new curriculum does not have an implementation date.

Children’s mental health has been a signature issue for Florida first lady Casey DeSantis — wife Gov. Ron DeSantis.

“We know that 50 percent of all mental illness cases begin by age 14, so we are being proactive in our commitment to provide our kids with the necessary tools to see them through their successes and challenges,” Casey DeSantis said in a statement. “Providing mental health instruction is another important step forward in supporting our families.”

Department of Education spokeswoman Cheryl Etters said that each school district can choose what mental health-related courses to offer students. Potential classes explore issues related to cyberbullying, the effects of substance abuse, or suicide prevention. The state board has not decided how schools will implement the required courses into their regular schedules.

“We are going to reinvent school-based mental-health awareness in Florida, and we will be the number one state in the nation in terms of mental health outreach and school safety, all because of the governor’s and First Lady’s remarkable vision,” state Education Commissioner Richard Corcoran said in a statement. ” … It is going to be a life-saver and it will reduce the stigma.”

Jeffrey Epstein’s mysterious passport is Austrian, was needed for ‘personal protection,’ attorneys say

Westlake Legal Group c24c03e5-ContentBroker_contentid-819b92324e534495b7a0608f725a6e28 Jeffrey Epstein’s mysterious passport is Austrian, was needed for 'personal protection,' attorneys say Talia Kaplan fox-news/us/us-regions/southeast/florida fox-news/us/us-regions/northeast/new-york fox-news/us/crime/sex-crimes fox-news/person/jeffrey-epstein fox news fnc/us fnc article 9ca19341-f1e0-5eb0-8966-a45ba91fbe04

Attorneys representing registered sex offender Jeffrey Epstein said Tuesday that an expired passport federal investigators found in a safe in the well-connected financier’s Manhattan home was necessary for his “personal protection.”

During a two-hour bail hearing on Monday, prosecutors used the passport to bolster their argument that Epstein was a flight risk. Assistant U.S. Attorney Alex Rossmiller said the passport photo appeared to be Epstein, but the name on the document was different and placed the holder’s home address in Saudi Arabia.

In response, Epstein’s attorneys said the passport was Austrian and expired 32 years ago.

JEFFREY EPSTEIN ACCUSERS’ LAWYER SAYS FINANCIER ABUSED FEMALE VISITORS WHILE ON WORK RELEASE FROM JAIL

“The government offers nothing to suggest – and certainly no evidence – that Epstein ever used it,” they wrote in the filing, addressed to U.S. District Judge Richard Berman. “In any case, Epstein – an affluent member of the Jewish faith – acquired the passport in the 1980s, when hijackings were prevalent, in connection to Middle East travel.

“The passport was for personal protection in the event of travel to dangerous areas, only to be presented to potential kidnapers [sic], hijackers or terrorists should violent episodes occur.”

In a letter sent to Judge Berman on Tuesday, Manhattan U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman (no relation) wrote that the government is trying to find out how Epstein obtained the foreign passport and whether it is genuine or fabricated.

“The defendant’s possession of what purports to be a foreign passport issued under an alias gives rise to the inference the defendant knows how to obtain false travel documents and/or assume other, foreign identities,” he wrote in the filling. “This adds to the serious risk of flight posed by the defendant.”

Judge Berman is expected to rule Thursday on whether Epstein, 66, should be detained until trial on charges that he recruited and abused dozens of underage girls in New York and Florida in the early 2000s. Epstein has pleaded not guilty.

In addition to the passport, investigators also discovered diamonds and cash in the safe during the raid of Epstein’s Upper East Side mansion following his July 6 arrest.

On Tuesday U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman said in a filing that “the Government has learned that the safe contained more than $70,000 in cash. In addition, the safe contained 48 loose diamond stones, ranging in size from approximately 1 carat to 2.38 carats, as well as a large diamond ring …  Such ready cash and loose diamonds are consistent with the capability to leave the jurisdiction at a moment’s notice.”

JEFFREY EPSTEIN HAD MYSTERIOUS PASSPORT, ‘PILES OF CASH,’ AND ‘DOZENS OF DIAMONDS’ IN HOME SAFE: PROSECUTORS

Epstein’s safe was also where hundreds of photos “of what appeared to be underage girls” were discovered after his arrest, prosecutors said. In addition to the disclosure of what was in the safe, prosecutors said their case is getting “stronger by the day” after several more women contacted them in recent days to say he abused them when they were underage.

In a written submission to Berman  Friday, prosecutors said they believe Epstein might have tried to influence witnesses after discovering that he had paid a total of $350,000 to two individuals late last year. That came after the Miami Herald reported the circumstances of his state court conviction in 2008, which led to a 13-month jail term and a deal to avoid federal prosecution.

In Tuesday’s filing, U.S. Attorney Berman asked for Epstein to “be detained pending trial.”

“The defendant cannot meet his burden of overcoming the presumption that there is no combination of conditions that would reasonably assure his continued appearance in this case or protect the safety of the community were he to be released,” he wrote in the filing.

Driver seen attacking Florida hotel owner over parking spot, reports say

Police in Florida said they’re looking for a man who was spotted on surveillance video allegedly attacking a hotel owner over a parking spot earlier this year.

The Hollywood Police Department released the video on Friday showing the hotel owner speaking to the suspect, who then started beating the 69-year-old man.

“It’s amazing how people can do that, plus I was a senior citizen,” the owner, who identified himself as Rudy, told WSVN. “Next year I’m going to be 70 years old.”

Rudy, who owns the Shore View Hotel, told the television station that drivers who weren’t guests at the hotel still used the parking lot often.

“People park in our spaces, even though they say ‘tow away’ and everything else,” he said. “They’ll park in our private property and go to the beach.”

Rudy told the station he asked the man not to park in a clearly marked parking spot on the property after he showed up on May 25.

“I asked him very kindly if he would move,” he said, adding that the suspect told him he was not going to move his car.

“He told me that when he comes to Hollywood, he parks wherever the ‘f—’ he wants to,” Rudy told the station.

“When I saw he was that hostile, I turned around and went to get my cellphone out of the office to call the police,” he continued.

Rudy said when he came back out of the office, the suspect was “smoking a joint.”

“He told me that because I was so nice to him, he would go ahead and leave, but after he finished his joint,” Rudy told the station.

“Before I know it, he came back behind me, and he sucker-punched me,” Rudy told the media outlet.

The video showed the man punching the hotel owner repeatedly. Rudy was then seen kneeling on the ground trying to protect himself.

“I can’t defend myself like I used to, when I was in my 20s and 30s,” he told the station.

Florida ‘doomsday prepper’ couple charged with abusing 2 women on farm for years

Florida authorities raided a farm and arrested a “doomsday prepper” couple on physical and sexual abuse charges.

The two female victims say they were abused for years while under the care of Mirko Ceska, 58, and his wife, Regina, 55, the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office said Friday in a news release.

“The females described Mr. and Mrs. Ceska as doomsday preppers who had getaway properties located throughout the United States and food rations and weapons stored in the event of a major calamity,” the news release said. “The females stated they had been trained to raise pigs, raise sheep, grow various fruits and vegetables, sheer sheep, utilize a loom, and sew.”

They stated that if they didn’t smile they would be punished, the news release said.

The investigation began July 1 after the women escaped the Ceskas’ custody three days earlier, according to the news release. Their identities, ages and relationship to the Ceskas was not disclosed.

The search of the farm Friday in Crawfordvile led to the discovery of large quantities of food rations and other survivalist items, the news release said. Detectives also seized dozens of high quality firearms and many cases of ammunition. Some of the firearms were hidden behind fake walls or a staircase.

The women said they endured various punishments, including having their food withheld, physical beatings where they said Mirko Ceska would hit them with a metal rod and sexual episodes where Mirko Cesko forced sex acts upon them, “some with the support of Regina Ceska,” according to the sheriff’s office.

SELF-DRIVING SPACECRAFT MAY SAVE EARTH FROM DOOMSDAY

The Ceskas were quoted in a 2009 Associated Press article about the over-medication of children in the Florida foster care system, the Tallahassee Democrat reported Saturday. The Ceskas said they had adopted 12-year-old twin girls a year earlier.

The Ceskas, who met then-Gov. Charlie Crist, were critical of the foster care system for medicating children in transitional care, the paper reported.

“The foster people that are taking care of these kids, many of them that we have seen don’t want these kids to have too much to do,” Mirko Ceska told the AP, according to the paper. “So they really put them asleep. They really do.”

Florida woman says dad died of flesh-eating bacteria less than 48 hours after entering water

A Tennessee man died just 48 hours after contracting a flesh-eating bacteria from waters in Florida after his daughter says the hospital he was treated at ignored her warnings that he had contracted necrotizing fasciitis.

Cheryl Bennett Wiygul, a resident of Okaloosa County, said her parents had come down from Memphis to spend several days with her last week.

During their stay, the family spent several days in the water, including at a beach in Destin, a creek and a swamp in Boggy Bayou. Wiygul said she had heard the recent reports of people in Florida contracting a flesh-eating bacteria and as a result, she took extra precautions with her father, who was previously diagnosed with cancer.

Wiygul said that at around 4:00 a.m. Saturday – some 12 hours after being in the water – her father began to complain of fever, chills and some cramping. The family decided that it would be best if he was treated back in Tennessee where the doctors were already familiar with his previous health issues.

They left later that morning where the symptoms worsened. He was taken to a hospital in Memphis at around 8 p.m.

Wiygul said that while her father was changing into his hospital gown, staff noticed a “terrible swollen black spot on his back” that had not previously been there. Her mother sent her a picture and Wiygul instantly recognized what was wrong with her father.

“I told her to tell them he was in the water in Florida and it was necrotizing fasciitis. She told everyone that came in the room. One person told her the media had blown that out of proportion. Others said it was staph. They would not biopsy it,” her lengthy Facebook post read.

The man’s conditioned worsened despite being treated with antibiotics, and at around 1 a.m. he became septic and coded a short time after. He was brought back by medical staff but his health continued to decline.

“My dad had a lot of medical issues but heart was not one of them. They had to intubate him. He coded again. They said his organs were too damaged and his blood was too acidic to sustain life,” Wiygul said. “He was gone by Sunday afternoon.”

Wiygul said that the hospital conducted tests which confirmed that her father had in fact contracted vibrio vulnificus which manifested into necrotizing fasciitis.

She blamed the beaches for not posting advisories about any bacteria in the water, adding that her father may have been alive today had she known the dangers.

“Less than 48 hours after getting out of the water feeling great, the bacteria had destroyed him,” she wrote. “I would never have taken my Dad in the water if there was a bacteria advisory but it would have been because I didn’t want him to get a stomach virus not because I thought it would kill him.”

Wiygul shared her dad’s story hoping it would shed more light on a crucial issue that she feels the general public lacks the most basic information on.

“I do believe if there was a simple sign posted about the risk of swimming with an open wound or an immune disorder, we wouldn’t have let him get in … here is information out there but I didn’t find it all until it was too late. I don’t want this to happen to anyone else.”
