A tourist visiting Yellowstone National Park on Sunday suffered severe thermal burns after he tripped into a hot spring near Old Faithful Geyser, according to local reports.

Cade Edmond Siemers, 48,  a U.S. citizen who lives in India, told rangers he was walking without a flashlight at the time of the fall, the Jackson Hole News & Guide reported. He managed to get back to his hotel room and was eventually flown to the burn center at an Idaho hospital. He was listed in critical condition.

Park rangers said they detected “evidence” of alcohol use back in the hotel room.

Yellowstone was established as the world’s first national park back in 1872, according to NPS.gov.

The park has about 500 geysers. Park rangers are able to predict the eruption of six of them, including Old Faithful that has only lengthened the time between eruptions by about 30 minutes in the last 30 years. Four million people travel there each year.

The hospital told the Idaho Statesman that Siemers was in intensive care.

In 2016, Colin Nathaniel Scott, 23, of Portland, Ore., left the boardwalk section near the geyser and fell into a high-temperature, acidic spring. Recovery efforts were called off after rangers determined there were no remains left in the hot spring.

The death occurred in one of the hottest and most volatile areas of Yellowstone, where boiling water flows just beneath a thin rock crust.

Water temperatures there can reach 199 degrees, the boiling point for water at the park’s high elevation.

At least 22 people are known to have died from hot spring-related injuries in and around Yellowstone since 1890, park officials said.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West scolded by Wyoming wildlife officials for animal harassment

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were scolded by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department over a video they posted from their new ranch in the Western state.

The “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star, 38, shared a video over the weekend of herself and West, 42, driving in a vehicle alongside what appear to be pronghorns, also known as American antelope. As they sped down the range, with Kanye at the wheel, Kim can be heard cautioning him that he’s scaring the animals. The antelope seemed upset by their presence and sprinted away from the moving vehicle.

The video caught the attention of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department who told TMZ that it sent someone to visit the famous couple’s ranch to inform them of the laws prohibiting the harassment of animals in the state.

According to TMZ, a source close to the couple explained that the video ends just before Kanye slowed down to allow the animals ample time to pass safely. The source claimed Kim and Kanye were simply driving along when they encountered the antelope.

TMZ reports that no formal complaint was issued against the Wests and therefore no cause for further investigation into the incident. However, they reportedly could have been slapped with a $435 fine.

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department and reps for Kim and Kanye did not immediately respond to Fox News’ requests for comment.

TMZ previously reported the news that Kim and Kanye purchased part of a sprawling 9,000-acre piece of land called Monster Lake Ranch estimated at $14 million. They reportedly own half of the property and lease the other half to the federal government. The couple is already spending a lot of time there with their kids North, 6, Saint, 3, Chicago, 1 and Psalm, 4 months. However, it doesn’t seem like they’ll up and move to Wyoming full-time just yet as Kim not only has several business ties in California, but she’s studying to pass the state’s bar exam.

Liz Cheney: Trump canceling Camp David meeting with Taliban shows he won’t repeat Obama’s mistakes

President Trump canceled a planned Camp David meeting with Taliban representatives in a move that proved he is different than former President Barack Obama, according to Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo.

“I think that the important thing is to look at what actually transpired,” she said. “What has transpired now is the president has done exactly the right thing. This president has shown that he is willing consistently to walk away from bad deals.”

To that extent, the Wyoming lawmaker pointed to Trump pulling out of the Iran nuclear deal and the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty with Russia.

TRUMP SAYS TALKS WITH TALIBAN ARE ‘DEAD,’ AFTER CANCELING SECRET CAMP DAVID SUMMIT

“This is a president who has demonstrated his willingness and his ability and his determination not to let the United States be taken advantage of,” the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney said.

“The president demonstrated that he fully understands that the Taliban cannot be a partner for peace and that the United States should not be in a position where we’re putting our security in their hands,” she added.

In that regard, Bret Baier noted Cheney criticized Trump’s decision to even consider holding talks with the Taliban at the presidential mountain retreat.

Cheney doubled down on her position the Taliban, “should not be at Camp David, ever,” — but added the president is showing he is uninterested in taking the easy route in the Middle East.

“That’s right — I would not have them at Camp David, I would not have them in the United States,” she said.

“He’s not going to repeat the mistakes we saw Barack Obama make. He’s not going to withdraw in a situation where we leave a vacuum where America’s enemies can rise again. The Taliban has not ever separated itself from Al Qaeda. You can’t trust the Taliban.”

In calling off the meeting, Trump pointed specifically to the group’s role in a deadly bombing in Kabul last week that resulted in one U.S. soldier’s death.

“They thought they had to kill people in order to put them in a little better negotiating position,” he said earlier Monday.

Dick Cheney set to headline Trump 2020 fundraiser in Wyoming on Monday

When U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney appears Monday at a fundraiser for President Trump’s 2020 reelection campaign in her home state of Wyoming, she’ll be joined by someone else who knows his way around Washington.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney, the congresswoman’s father, is set to headline the luncheon event in Jackson, the Washington Post reported Saturday.

Also set to appear are presidential advisers Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, and White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney – although they are listed as “special guests” because of federal rules prohibiting administration officials from campaigning, the Post reported.

REPUBLICANS RAISE $20.7M IN JUNE — MORE THAN DOUBLE DEMS’ $8.5M HAUL

Former VP Cheney, 78, served under former President George W. Bush and was previously defense secretary under President George H.W. Bush after representing Wyoming in Congress. He also served as White House chief of staff under President Gerald Ford.

While Cheney has been a supporter of President Trump, he hasn’t shied away from speaking out when he disagrees with the commander-in-chief.

In March, at the American Enterprise Institute’s World Forum in Sea Isle, Ga., Cheney criticized Trump’s use of Twitter for making major policy announcements and also what he viewed as the president’s on-again, off-again support for NATO, Politico reported.

Cheney also questioned whether Trump valued the work of the U.S. intelligence community, according to the report.

His views reportedly were shared during a conversation with Vice President Mike Pence that was part of the forum attended by about 200 Republicans.

In May, many Democrats got upset when a 2015 video resurfaced, showing former Vice President Joe Biden saying he was fond of Cheney.

“First of all, I really like Dick Cheney, for real. I get on with him, I think he’s a decent man,” Biden, now the Democrats’ 2020 presidential frontrunner, said in the October 2015 video at an event honoring former Vice President Walter Mondale.

Other Republicans expected at Monday’s event in Wyoming include RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, Co-Chairman Tommy Hicks Jr., National Finance Chairman Todd Ricketts and Trump 2020 campaign manager Brad Pascale, the Washington Examiner reported.

A doctor in Wyoming who drove through a storm to pick his son up at the airport didn’t realize he had been struck by lightning until two days later, when he finally went to the hospital for growing pain in his face and chest.

“I saw a big flash of light,” Paul Beaupre, who was walking in search of his car at the airport terminal, told the Jackson Hole News & Guide. “The next thing I knew I woke up face-planted on the asphalt.”

MAN SAID VAPE PEN EXPLODED ‘LIKE A ROCKET,’ LEFT HIM WITH SEVERE LEG BURNS

But because nobody came to help, Beaupre figured his injuries weren’t severe enough to warrant medical attention, and he got in his car and drove to the other airport. He then celebrated the Fourth of July with family and friends before heading to the hospital the next day, according to the news outlet.

He was determined to have a broken nose, jaw and three broken ribs, and when staff saw his creatine-kinase levels were high, they figured out that he had been struck by lightning.

Beaupre, who has since returned to treating patients of his own, said he had heard thunder and seen lightning, but nothing striking close by before he was hit.

Lightning is a major cause of storm-related deaths in the U.S., as it can result in cardiac arrest, according to the National Weather Service. Over the last 10 years the U.S. has seen an average of 27 reported lightning fatalities each year, but only about 10 percent of people who are struck are killed.

Colorado sheriff’s office bloodhound helps find missing 12-year-old girl in Wyoming

A Colorado police dog turned out to be in the right place at exactly the right time last week, helping to locate a missing 12-year-old girl in Wyoming, according to officials.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook that Deputy K. Fosler and bloodhound Jessie were in Wyoming on an unrelated call when they were diverted for a request with the search of a missing girl.

Brianna Weinart was reported missing around 10 p.m. on Monday, according to the Casper Star-Tribune.

The deputy and Jessie joined in the search for their girl, but the nearly 90-degree heat required the dog to take a 20-minute break in spite of wearing a cooling vest. The cactus-dense area also made search efforts more difficult, according to the sheriff’s office.

“For nearly two hours, she searched the Wyoming area where the 12-year-old girl was last seen……and then she pulled her handler, Deputy Fosler, back toward the direction they started. Deputy Fosler thought she had lost the scent,” police said. “Turns out, she knew exactly where she was going and as the pair got closer to a home, Jessie went around to the back and near a large bush, they spotted the girl, hiding.”

Weinart was hungry, dehydrated and sunburned after 20 hours, but was “otherwise uninjured,” according to the sheriff’s office.

Republican Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming sounded off Tuesday on her Democratic colleagues in Congress, accusing them of being anti-Semitic by not condemning comments by Democratic Reps. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib.

“We have a situation today where those of us who are elected officials and particularly elected officials in the House of Representative where this anti-Semitism is rising within our body have an obligation to stand up and to stop it,” Cheney said on “Fox & Friends.”

She also took House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer to task over their recent demand for an apology from Republicans and President Trump for allegedly twisting Tlaib’s words to create controversy.

“I’m sorry that there are so many anti-Semitic members of the House Democratic caucus,” Cheney said on “Fox & Friends.” “We went yesterday from a situation where the Democratic leadership in the House had sort of been enabling this anti-Semitism by their silence. Yesterday was different.”

RASHIDA TLAIB SLAMMED BY HOUSE GOP OVER COMMENTS ON HOLOCAUST, PALESTINIANS

On Monday, Omar accused Cheney of “deep seated hate and Islamophobia” after Cheney condemned Tlaib’s comments on Israel and the Holocaust.

Cheney slammed Tlaib, the first Palestinian-American woman to be elected to Congress, for making allegedly false remarks critical of Israel.

“Here’s @RepRashida direct quote, ‘There’s a calming feeling I always tell folks when I think of the Holocaust.’ And her ‘history’ of what happened after is a fantasy based on lies spread to delegitimize the state of Israel,” Cheney tweeted.

Omar responded, “Give it up, we all know you never met a Muslim you didn’t want to vilify!,” Omar said. “Your deep seeded hate and Islamophobia might be a tool to rally your base, but won’t get rid your colleagues. You just have to deal.”

Instead of calling out their colleagues as Republicans demanded, the House Democratic leadership defended Omar and Tlaib.

“If you read Rep. Tlaib’s comments, it is clear that President Trump and Congressional Republicans are taking them out of context,” Hoyer told The Hill. “They must stop, and they owe her an apology.”

Pelosi also weighed in and called for Trump and Tlaib’s critics to apologize.

“Republicans’ desperate attempts to smear @RepRashida & misrepresent her comments are outrageous,” Pelosi tweeted. “President @realDonaldTrump & House GOP should apologize to Rep. Tlaib & the American people for their gross misrepresentations.”

That didn’t sit well with Cheney who told Fox News, “There is just no context in which it is okay to say that a calming feeling comes over you when you think about the Holocaust. It’s sickening.”
