Amy Schumer revealed her newborn son’s name in a sweet photo posted on Instagram.

Schumer posted a photo on Tuesday showing husband Chris Fischer carrying the baby boy two days after Schumer gave birth.

“Gene Attell Fischer And his dad Chris,” the comedian captioned the photo.

The baby’s middle name appears to be a nod to friend and comedian Dave Attell, who appeared in Schumer’s movie, “Trainwreck,” in 2015. Schumer also joined Attell on stage in January at New York City comedy club Carolines on Broadway.

The 37-year-old actress announced Monday she gave birth to her first child with Fisher on Sunday night.

“10:55 pm last night. Our royal baby was born,” she captioned the Instagram post, referencing Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry’s newborn who they welcomed on Monday.

Face of Venezuela crisis: Fox News goes inside camp taking in refugees fleeing Maduro regime

MAICO, Colombia – When you ask Colombians what La Guajira desert is known for, many will say a vacation.

It’s long been known as a tourist spot. But instead of vacationers, the desert in Maicao, Colombia is home to a growing number of Venezuelan migrants.

Among cities in the La Guajira region, the border city of Maicao tops the list as having one of the highest concentrations, per capita, of refugees and migrants from Venezuela, according to the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR).

In March, the UN Refugee Agency opened a 60-tent facility which it calls an “Integrated Assistance Centre.” It was opened, the UN said, at the request of Colombian national and local authorities. About 300 people currently live at the center. Fox News toured the site this week to see the consequences of the Venezuelan crisis firsthand.

Dozens arrived by bus on Tuesday, and UN officials say they expect to reach capacity by Thursday.

US LIFTS SANCTIONS FOR VENEZUELAN GENERAL WHO DEFIED MADURO

“It’s a transient center that provides basic services for a total of 350 people at a time – basic services like food, water, temporary accommodation, and protection services,” said Marco Rotunno, communications officer for UNHCR.

Rotunno said 50 percent of the center’s residents are children.

Noelis Navas is 11 years old. She told Fox News she and her two little brothers came to the center last week. She said they left Venezuela, with their mother, a couple of months ago.

“We had to work very hard, selling candy to get money for the bus tickets [to Colombia],” Noelis said.

Once in Colombia, the family had nowhere to stay and ended up sleeping on the streets. Noelis’ mother, Maria Delcarmen Rodriguez, told Fox News it was devastating.

US TO SEND HOSPITAL SHIP TO HELP WITH VENEZUELAN REFUGEES

“I would cry at night,” Delcarmen Rodriguez said. “But I didn’t want to let my kids see me crying.”

Life in Colombia was far from good, but they say life in Venezuela was worse. More often than not, their days were filled with hunger and fear.

When asked if it was scary, 11-year-old Navas told Fox News: “Yes. There’s a lot of crime happening there, people want to kill and steal for food.”

“I was in sixth grade,” she explained. “How can I study if I can’t eat? In any second I could faint because I wouldn’t eat. The light was going away. There wasn’t any water.”

Now, they say, things are looking up. Delcarmen Rodriguez said she has faith for today and tomorrow.

“I’ve got a lot of faith in God,” she said. “Venezuela will prevail, with or without [President Nicolás] Maduro.”

At the UN center, Delcarmen Rodriguez and her children have something they didn’t have last week: a warm meal and hope.

Noelis Navas said when she grows up she wants to be a veterinarian.

“I like chickens,” she said with a giggle, “because they are very cute.”

UN Refugee Agency has plans to expand the center and say they expect to double the number of beds in September, eventually growing to a capacity of 1,400.

Tomi Lahren: Biloxi police killing shows the ‘war on cops’ is real

An officer murdered in cold blood in a parking lot. The war on cops is real, and it’s sick and it’s underreported.

Not on my watch. It’s time for my “Final Thoughts.”

Law enforcement is the only profession that puts on a badge every single day knowing there is a chance they won’t return home to their families that night.

SUSPECT WHO ALLEGEDLY KILLED MISSISSIPPI POLICE OFFICER CAPTURED, POLICE SAY

And guess what folks, it’s happening at an alarming rate.

You all probably saw hundreds of photos of indulgent celebrities prancing around in next-to-nothing for the Met Gala this week, or you watched the stupid “Bachelorette” special, but I’d be willing to bet few of you saw this story.

Officer Robert McKeithen, a 24-year veteran of Mississippi’s Biloxi Police Department, was ambushed and shot to death in the department’s parking lot just after 10:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The suspect, identified as 19-year-old Darian Tawan Atkinson shot the officer multiple times before he fled.

“He did a great job. The animal who did this is still on the run and we are going to do everything in our power to bring him to justice for Robert and his family, for the men and women of the Biloxi Police Department and for the city of Biloxi,” said Biloxi Police Chief John Miller.

Today we are one step closer to justice.

As the suspect was captured late in the evening, he was seen smiling as police escorted him into headquarters. He will be charged with capital murder.

But enough about that monster. He doesn’t deserve our time.

Instead let’s talk about a real man, Officer Robert McKeithen. A truly great human being.

He, along with four other officers, received the Medal of Valor for saving four children with special needs.

Not one riot, one march, or one protest has taken place in support of our officers. Not one trendy social media hashtag. And few, if any, celebrity mentions or thank yous to the men and women who died serving their communities.

He was also an Air Force vet and planned to retire from the department at the end of the year.

He leaves behind a wife, daughter, two stepsons, and a stepdaughter.

Officer McKeithen treated everyone with respect and dignity — unlike the animal that murdered him in cold blood for no freakin’ reason.

Yet, you likely won’t see Darian Tawan Atkinson’s face plastered all over the agenda-driven mainstream media, smirking after he murdered an officer.

Sadly, you’ll even have those who proudly applaud his cop-killing actions.

This Biloxi officer was targeted in the parking lot outside of police headquarters — at his workplace — and murdered. Think the war on cops isn’t real? It is.

In just the first 18 weeks of this year, 16 officers have been shot to death in the line of duty.

But not one riot, one march, or one protest has taken place in support of our officers. Not one trendy social media hashtag. And few, if any, celebrity mentions or thank yous to the men and women who died serving their communities.

That needs to change.

And to that monster Darian who took this officer’s life, justice will be served. To those who helped him, justice will find you too.

The husband of Brazilian model Caroline Bittencourt, who drowned after being swept overboard by harsh storm winds last week, will be charged in connection with her death due to alleged negligence, according to local reports.

Jorge Sestini had set sail with Bittencourt after a weekend trip to Ilhabela when they were caught in a storm on the way back. Authorities now say Sestini of ignoring warnings about the inclement weather conditions, resulting in his wife’s death.

According to G1 Global News, Sestini will be indicted for manslaughter following testimony from the marina owner, Leonardo Oliveira, that he was warned twice about the conditions being too dangerous.

Oliveira told the outlet he warned Sestini the Friday before he left that a “northwest wind” was in the forecast. Another warning was issued Sunday as the weather began to take a turn. However, by that time Sestini and Bittencourt were already on the water and in harm’s way.

If convicted, Sestini could face up to three years in prison.

According to reports, winds swept Bittencourt, 37, into the harsh waters. Sestini reportedly dove in after her, but was unable to reach her before she disappeared underwater. He was found three hours later by another vessel. Authorities also heard testimony from the sailor that rescued him.

Bittencourt’s body was discovered the next day near Cigarras Beach in Sao Paulo.

“We are grateful for the support and affectionate messages we have received from Carol’s friends and fans,” Bittencourt’s daughter, Isabelle Bittencourt, shared on Instagram. “This energy drive fills our hearts with so much love.”

Her modeling agency, OXYgen Models, told Globo: “We are grateful for all the trust she has placed in us in these years of work and partnership, our condolences to the friends and family of the victim.”

The Brazilian news outlet reported that Bittencourt worked in Italy and worked with designers including Valentino Garavani and Roberto Cavalli. She also worked as a reporter for RedeTV! and RecordTV.

Tyson Foods Inc. says it will install metal detecting devices to ensure product safety following a recall of nearly 12 million pounds of frozen, ready-to-eat chicken strips over consumer complaints of contamination.

TYSON RECALLS ADDITIONAL FROZEN CHICKEN STRIPS

“Our company is taking corrective action,” Barbara Masters, the company’s vice president of regulatory food policy, food and agriculture, told MarketWatch. “We have discontinued use of the specific equipment believed to be associated with the metal fragments, and we will be installing metal-detecting X-ray machinery to replace the plant’s existing metal-detection system.”

The recall announced on Saturday expanded on one already issued in March, which affected an initial 69,000 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken products. The announcement comes after the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service received two additional consumer complaints of extraneous material in the product, tallying six total reports and three oral injuries related to the recall.

KIDS II RECALLS NEARLY 700,000 SLEEPING ROCKERS AFTER 5 INFANTS DIE

“Consumers expect that the food they eat is safe,” Masters told MarketWatch. “In their best interest and in an abundance of caution we’re taking quick and decisive action to expand this recall.”

Affected items were produced from Oct. 1, 2018 through March 8 and have “Use by Dates” of Oct. 1, 2019 through March 7, 2020. The products were shipped to retailers nationwide. Earlier this year the company pulled about 36,000 pounds of chicken nuggets after consumers complained of finding rubber in the products.

“It is unacceptable to Tyson Foods that any product might not meet our standards,” Masters said.

Five things to know about Amy Klobuchar, from her start in politics to her staff treatment controversy

Westlake Legal Group five-things-to-know-about-amy-klobuchar-from-her-start-in-politics-to-her-staff-treatment-controversy Five things to know about Amy Klobuchar, from her start in politics to her staff treatment controversy fox-news/politics/elections/democrats fox-news/politics/2020-presidential-election fox-news/person/amy-klobuchar fox news fnc/politics fnc article Ann Schmidt 4c50d340-1fc0-51e1-814c-7187b34fc14d

Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., announced she would be joining the 2020 presidential race back in February, on a snowy day in Minneapolis.

The 58-year-old, three-term senator is known as a straight-shooting pragmatist willing to work with Republicans, making her one of the Senate’s most productive members at passing legislation.

However, she has also distanced herself from other, more progressive candidates on certain issues. She hasn’t quite embraced “Medicare-for-all” and doesn’t support free college tuition — though she has pushed back at being labeled as “moderate.”

The senator has also voted with President Trump about a third of the time, according to FiveThiryEight.

Klobuchar will join Fox News Channel for a Town Hall co-anchored by Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum on Wednesday, May 8, at 6:30 p.m. ET in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

In April, the Midwestern Democrat announced her campaign had brought in $5.2 million in its first seven weeks, from her announcement to the end of the first quarter of fundraising on March 31. She also transferred $3 million from her Senate 2018 re-election campaign, bringing her total to more than $8 million, according to her campaign.

WHO’S RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT IN 2020? GROWING FIELD OF CANDIDATES JOIN RACE FOR DEMOCRATIC NOD

Though it was a respectable amount, her fundraising trailed significantly behind many of her rivals for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, including Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., who raised $18.2 million and Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., who brought in $12 million.

Ahead of her Fox News Town Hall on Wednesday, here are five facts to know about the moderate Minnesota senator.

Her dad struggled with alcohol addiction — which has influenced her career

Klobuchar has been open about her father’s alcoholism and the impact it had on her life. She has said her father got “real treatment” after his third arrest for driving while intoxicated. He has remained sober with support from friends, family and his faith, what he calls being “pursued by grace,” she said, according to The Associated Press.

The senator has also said addiction is one of the issues she hears most about from people.

“The one thing I hear over and over again across the country is people’s stories of battling with mental health and addiction — people need help, but they just can’t get it,” she has said. “I believe everyone should have the same opportunity my dad had to be pursued by grace and get the treatment and help they need.”

On Friday, the senator released a plan to spend $100 billion over a decade to improve mental health care and fight substance abuse.

Klobuchar’s background also played a role in her questioning of then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing last year, a moment that helped raise her national profile.

The senator asked Kavanaugh, who was accused of sexually assaulting a woman years earlier when they were in high school, whether he ever had had so much to drink that he didn’t remember what happened. Kavanaugh, who denied the assault allegation, turned the question around, asking Klobuchar, “Have you?”

Klobuchar continued, unruffled, as Kavanaugh asked again. Kavanaugh later apologized to Klobuchar.

“When you have a parent who’s an alcoholic, you’re pretty careful about drinking,” she said. “I was truly trying to get to the bottom of the facts and the evidence.”

She interned with Jimmy Carter’s Vice President Walter Mondale as an undergraduate

Klobuchar graduated from Yale University in 1982 and during that time, she interned for Walter Mondale, who was the vice president to then-President Jimmy Carter from 1977 to 1981.

The now-senator tweeted about her internship experience back in January, to celebrate Mondale’s birthday.

“Happy 91st birthday to VP Walter Mondale. In college I was one of his interns, where I was assigned to inventory all the office furniture. That was my first gov job in Washington & U.S. Senator was my second. Lesson? Do good work no matter the assignment & listen to wise mentors,” she wrote alongside a picture of the two of them.

She got started in politics after the birth of her first daughter

Before she was elected to the Senate, Klobuchar was a corporate lawyer and then the Hennepin County attorney. What got her started in politics was the birth of her daughter Abigail in 1995, according to The Star Tribune.

At the time, health insurance plans only allowed new mothers to stay in the hospital for 24 hours. When Abigail was born, she had a condition that prevented her from swallowing, so she had to stay in the hospital while Klobuchar was required to leave, the outlet reported.

SOME FEMALE DEM VOTERS QUESTION WHETHER A WOMAN SHOULD FACE TRUMP IN 2020

Klobuchar testified at the next legislative session in favor of a proposal that would require health insurance plans to let mothers stay in the hospital for 48 hours.

The proposal passed in Minnesota and a similar bill was signed into federal law by then-President Bill Clinton in 1996.

She was the first woman elected to serve Minnesota in the U.S. Senate

When she was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2006, Klobuchar became Minnesota’s first female senator, according to Encyclopedia Britannica.

During her campaign for the seat, she reportedly raised $17,000 from ex-boyfriends, she told Vogue earlier this year.

There have been reports she mistreats her staff

Even before she made her presidential announcement, HuffPost reported that Klobuchar had such a bad reputation over her treatment of staff that a number of potential staffers withdrew from consideration to manage her campaign.

Some former staffers described Klobuchar as “habitually demeaning and prone to bursts of cruelty,” although others said that while working for Klobuchar was challenging, it was also rewarding. Some pushed back and questioned whether those making the accusations “were falling for sexist stereotypes about female leaders with high standards.”

Klobuchar’s team issued a lengthy statement saying she has been “proud” of her staff.

One specific accusation came out later in February, when The New York Times reported Klobuchar allegedly berated a staff member for failing to bring her a fork with her salad while the senator was traveling to South Carolina in 2008.

Klobuchar not only chastised the aide, but reportedly proceeded to eat the salad using a comb from her bag — then handed the comb to the aide and told him to clean it.

She later explained the bizarre story, saying she was “doing a mom thing.”

“The comb story was me, sort of doing a mom thing. I didn’t have a fork, I used a comb to eat a salad very briefly on a plane,” she said at the SXSW conference in Austin, Texas, in March.

Fox News’ Jennifer Earl, Andrew O’Reilly, Paul Steinhauser, Brooke Singman, Adam Shaw and The Associated Press contributed to this report.

The anchors of CNN were ecstatic over The New York Times’ report on President Donald Trump’s leaked tax documents that show he had nearly $1.2 billion in losses between 1985 and 1994.

The report that broke on Tuesday night says that among high-income earners that Trump “lost more money than nearly any other individual American taxpayer,” pointing out in one year he had lost more than double than the individual with the next highest losses, according to IRS records, and that in eight of those ten years, the billionaire real estate mogul didn’t have to pay any federal income taxes.

Trump’s unflattering tax documents were quickly embraced by several CNN personalities.

“Outfront” anchor Erin Burnett called the findings in the NYT report “pretty stunning stuff” and that “this was not normal.”

“Does this to you explain why he doesn’t want anyone to have this information? That he was such a loser?” Burnett asked a panelist. “The reason I say that word, I’m not trying to be funny, he uses that word all the time. He calls people losers and has such disdain and drips with horror when he uses that word, and yet he was literally the biggest loser in the country.”

“AC360” anchor Anderson Cooper called the report “eye-popping,” “stunning,” and “incredible,” admitting there are “a lot of adjectives” to describe it. Cooper grinned as he also referred to President Trump as the “biggest loser” while discussing the report with NYT’s Susanne Craig, one of the reporters who broke the story.

“Cuomo Prime Time” anchor Chris Cuomo showered NYT reporter Russ Buettner with praise for co-authoring the story.

“Boy, you did a hell of a job on this. Any kudos you get is well deserved,” Cuomo told Buettner. “On reporting alone- forget about the impact and the outcome, the reporting is top-notch scrubbing.

Before wrapping up the part-two of a two-part segment, Cuomo congratulated Buettner, saying “in this business, the assumption is to be jealous that somebody else did it. Not me. I’m proud.”

“Read this piece today. You can’t have journalism that’s done better than this and I don’t care who it’s about, I don’t care what it’s about. Just look at the methodology that they take you through in the piece. It’s why people get into journalism,” Cuomo continued. “For days, people are going to be processing this story. For days.”

Meanwhile, “CNN Tonight” anchor Don Lemon declared that Trump was a “fraud” and a “con-man” and that the “fraud and the con is on us.”

“It turns out Donald Trump is our con man in chief and his biggest con was pulling the wool right over your eyes, convincing voters that he would be the best dealmaker ever in the White House,” Lemon told his viewers. “The man who ran for president on his reputation as a billionaire business genius was a really, really, really lousy businessman. Literally the worst businesman in the country! I’m speaking the truth here!”

Lemon mocked Trump’s losses on his casinos, laughing that the house apparently doesn’t “always” win.

“C’mon! Who loses money in a casino, except for the person gambling?” Lemon asked.

The “CNN Tonight” host also slammed Trump for not paying federal income taxes for several years, saying you can do that “if you’re a bad businessman.” He went on to ridicule the president by dramatically reading several exerpts from Trump’s business memoir “The Art of the Deal.”

Presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren wants to spend $100 billion over 10 years to help states and territories hard hit by the opioid epidemic.

The Democrat from Massachusetts unveiled her plan for tackling the crisis, called the Comprehensive Addiction Resources Emergency Act (CARE), on Wednesday. Warren and the chief sponsor of the bill in the House of Representatives, Democratic Rep. Elijah Cummings of Maryland, are re-introducing an upgraded version of the measure they first introduced last year.

FIRST LADY ANNOUNCES EXPANSION OF ‘BE BEST’ INITIATIVE WITH FOCUS ON CHILD WELFARE AND DRUG ABUSE

Warren called the proposal “a comprehensive plan to end the opioid crisis by providing the resources needed to begin treating this epidemic like the public health crisis that it is.”

Warning that the drug crisis is getting worse, Warren spotlighted that 70,000 people nationwide died from drug overdoses in 2017, the highest year on record.

“The majority of those deaths were due to opioids. Emergency room visits for opioid overdoses have skyrocketed. Children have lost their parents. And only a small percentage of those suffering ever receive the treatment they need,” she explained in a Medium post.

NATION’S FIRST DRUG CZAR SAYS NATIONAL FOCUS ON OPIOID EPIDEMIC OVERLOOK’S REAL CULPRIT

Warren vowed that “if the CARE Act becomes law, every single person would get the care they need. Scores of legislators in Congress have signed on to support this plan. The nation’s top experts on the crisis stand behind it. It spells out in detailed terms exactly how funding would get to the communities that need it most.”

The populist senator who’s a champion of progressive causes is also targeting the pharmaceutical giants who are blamed for overprescribing addictive drugs that fed the epidemic.

“The opioid epidemic teaches us that too often in America today, if you have money and power, you can take advantage of everyone else without consequence,” Warren said.

She said that “under my Corporate Executive Accountability Act, executives of major companies that deliberately hurt people through criminal negligence – for example, by dumping mountains of highly addictive pills into towns….to make a quick buck – don’t just pay a fine, they face real criminal penalties.”

One of those towns hard hit by the crisis that she spotlighted is Kermit, West Virginia, where she’ll formally unveil the plan on the campaign trail this weekend. Warren will also highlight the CARE Act in Ohio, another state that’s been grappling with the epidemic for much of this decade.

REPORT: OPIOID CRISIS HELPS EXPLAIN RISE IN COCAINE DEATHS

Warren, who’s unveiled a slew of policy proposals since launching her White House bid at the beginning of the, is the latest Democratic presidential candidate to come forward with a detailed plan to win the war against the drug epidemic.

Last week a rival for the nomination, Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, announced her $100 billion plan. Klobuchar’s proposal would improve access to care and fund more research. She spotlighted her plan during campaign stops the past couple of days in Iowa and New Hampshire, the first two states to vote in the nominating calendar.

Ending opioid misuse and addiction was one of then-presidential candidate Donald Trump’s major promises during his 2016 campaign for the White House. While President Trump declared a public health emergency in 2017 over the drug crisis, there’s mixed reactions over how effective his administration’s efforts are in lowering overdoses and fighting the root causes of the epidemic.

The Christian woman who spent years on death row in Pakistan for alleged blasphemy before she was acquitted last year has left the country for Canada, her lawyer confirmed to Fox News on Wednesday.

Asia Bibi was convicted on blasphemy charges in 2009 after a quarrel with a fellow farmworker who accused her of insulting Islam’s Prophet Muhammad.

After spending eight years on death row, the 54-year-old’s conviction was overturned last year by the Supreme Court. Despite being a “free woman” after the death sentence was thrown out, she has been in protective custody since then because of religious extremists’ calls for her hanging.

She had been denied permission to leave the country for several months as the government waited for sentiments to cool.

ASIA BIBI’S WHEREABOUTS SHROUDED IN SECRECY OVER FEARS FOR HER SAFETY

An official in Islamabad also confirmed to Fox News that Bibi left Pakistan to be reunited with her daughters in Canada. Her lawyer, Saif-ul Malook, said she had already arrived to Canada.

Additional information about how and when she left Pakistan was not immediately available.

British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt tweeted his happiness at the news of Bibi’s departure.

“Fantastic news that Asia Bibi appears to have left Pakistan safely,” he tweeted, adding that he was about to meet U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo “to talk about persecution of Christians around the world.”

ASIA BIBI, CHRISTIAN WOMAN ACCUSED OF BLASPHEMY, SEEKS ASYLUM AMID VIOLENT PROTESTS

Bibi’s case brought international attention to Pakistan’s controversial blasphemy law, which carries an automatic death penalty. The mere suspicion of blasphemy against Islam is enough to ignite mob lynchings in the country.

Salman Taseer, the governor of Punjab province, was shot and killed by one of his own guards in 2011 for defending Bibi and criticizing the misuse of the blasphemy law. The assassin, Mumtaz Qadri, has been celebrated as a martyr by hard-liners since he was hanged for the killing, with millions visiting a shrine set up for him near Islamabad. Pakistan’s minister for minorities, Shahbaz Bhatti, was assassinated later that year after demanding justice for Bibi.

Fox News’ Hollie McKay and the Associated Press contributed to this report.
