Tipsters have flooded a task-force investigating the murders of two Indiana teenage girls with more than 42,000 emails and calls since the case began, State Police said Monday.

Despite the avalanche of tips, no arrests have been announced in the murders of the two victims, Libby German, 14, and Abby Williams, 13, in Delphi on Feb. 13, 2017. The best friends were found the next day upstream from an abandoned rail bridge where they had gone for a walk.

It was also reported Monday updated information in the case that police released to the public April 22 has brought in many more tips, FOX59 Indianapolis reported.

Just since that date, the task-force investigating the murders has received more than 2,200 emails and 400 calls with offers of information, the station reported.

In addition, the task force received another 135 tips since April 22 from local police departments that were contacted by people who called on the phone or showed up in person.

The information released last month included a much different sketch from the original suspect drawing, which was of a person no longer being sought by authorities. The newly released sketch depicted a man with a youthful appearance in his 20s or 30s.

“The person depicted in the originally released sketch is not presently a person of interest in this investigation,” police said April 24 in explaining the reason for releasing another sketch.

Police said then that they now believe the girls’ killer is someone with Delphi roots.

“We also believe this person is from Delphi currently or has previously lived here, visits Delphi on a regular basis or works here,” Doug Carter, the head of state police, said in April, according to the station.

Meghan Markle’s baby boy already has a play date offer just hours after the new royal was born.

Markle’s former “Suits” co-star Patrick J. Adams congratulated the Duchess of Sussex on the birth of her first child with Prince Harry. The royal couple announced Monday their bundle of joy was born at 5:26 a.m. and weighed 7 pounds 3 ounces.

“Just heard that the world just got heavier by 7 pounds and 3 ounces. Much love to him and his incredible parents. Learned first hand 7 months ago how transformational becoming a parent is and couldn’t be happier for Meghan and Harry as they begin this adventure,” Adams tweeted.

The actor and his wife, actress Troian Bellisario, also became first-time parents in October 2018 when they welcomed a baby girl. Adams included the hashtag #playdatesoon in Monday’s tweet, setting in motion a future meet-up for their children.

Adams and the former actress were on-screen lovers in the popular series before they both left the show in Season 7. The season finale saw both their characters, Mike and Rachel, trade “I do’s” in front of their closest family and friends.

Adams remained friends with Meghan and attended her wedding at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle last May.

Prince Harry gushed about his newborn son to reporters on Monday and said Duchess Meghan and the baby were “doing incredibly well.”

“I’m very excited to announce that Meghan and myself had a baby boy early this morning, a very healthy boy,” Harry said. “Mother and baby are doing incredibly well. It’s been the most amazing experience I could ever possibly imagine.”

Man rents billboard to apply for job at Disney World

The only thing more impressive than a great cover letter is a billboard.

In an attempt to get the company’s attention, a man looking for a job at Walt Disney World rented out a billboard near the park in Orlando, Fl. It reads “Dear Walt Disney World Executives and HR, experienced EA/PA Professional seeking position as a WDW Assistant.” It then lists his phone number, and the email address “futureWDWassistant@gmail.com.”

(Brandon Fox)

Brandon Fox, who currently lives in New York City, previously worked for Disney World as part of the company’s college program. He started off as a character attendant before working his way up to a character captain. Fox even got to drive the parade vehicles. In 2012, he moved to New York City, but he’s willing to head back to Florida for Disney.

But getting hired is hard. “I can’t imagine how many applicants they get,” Fox said. “I just can’t seem to get through the metric.” He says he was inspired to rent the billboard while riding the subway in New York City. The train was covered in advertisements, and they caught his attention. He figured, if it worked on him, it might work on Disney’s executives and HR department.

While it hasn’t landed him a job yet, he does have the company’s attention.

In a statement obtained by News6 in Orlando, a spokesperson for Walt Disney World reportedly said: “We appreciate the creativity and encourage anyone interested in a role with us to apply at disneycareers.com.” When told about the statement, Fox said that it’s “awesome that they acknowledged the billboard.”

Fox has received other responses, however. He says that somebody calling from a private number left a message claiming that they saw the billboard and were inspired to also take a chance and ask a girl out. While he doesn’t know how that story turned out, Fox said: “The fact that I motivated someone to take a chance was worth the cost of the billboard.”

Former ICE Acting Director Tom Homan: I respect Mark Morgan for getting back into the fight

Following the announcement Obama-era Border Patrol Chief Mark Morgan will lead U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), former ICE Acting Director Tom Homan backed the president’s pick.

Having spent the majority of his career in law enforcement, Morgan will now switch gears to head ICE, should he be confirmed. Homan said during an appearance on “America’s Newsroom” on Monday morning that he understands the decision to acquiesce the president’s requests.

“You have to respect Mark Morgan for jumping back in the fight, right?” Homan said.

“Mark had a tough decision, but I think he’s doing the right thing. He’s spent his career in law enforcement, the president has asked him to help and he’s come back into the fight.”

MEXICO WEIGHS RETALIATORY TARIFF AGAINST U.S. OVER BORDER SLOWDOWNS

He went on to discuss the challenges that Morgan will likely face in the role, as many politicians, including 2020 Democratic hopefuls such as Elizabeth Warren, have advocated for the abolition of the department.

“I respect anybody that’s willing to come back in such a difficult fight when half of Congress does not support what ICE does. He’s going to take that on every day, so hats off to Mark Morgan, I think he’s going to do a good job,” Homan said.

President Trump announced his decision on Twitter Sunday morning, calling Morgan a “true believer and American Patriot.”

Morgan has previously vocalized his support for President Trump’s border wall and illustrated his beliefs in an opinion piece for Fox News published in March.

“It’s time to stop listening to those driven by a personal political ideology and arm yourself with facts, thorough analysis, and the perspective of credible experts. It’s an emergency,” he wrote.

On the roster: House Dems to hold contempt vote on Barr Wednesday – Time Out: Move over four eyes – Biden focuses on Trump, not Republican Party – Bernie is playing to win – Just another day in Alaska

HOUSE DEMS TO HOLD CONTEMPT VOTE ON BARR WEDNESDAY
WaPo: “Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee said they will vote Wednesday on whether to hold Attorney General William P. Barr in contempt of Congress after Barr missed a deadline to produce a complete version of special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s report. The panel had set a deadline of 9 a.m. Monday for Barr to provide the unredacted version of Mueller’s report on Russian interference in the 2016 election. It announced the planned vote in a statement Monday. ‘Although the Committee has attempted to engage in accommodations with Attorney General Barr for several months, it can no longer afford to delay, and must resort to contempt proceedings,’ reads the text of a contempt report released by Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.). … A contempt citation against Barr would set up a lengthy legal battle over the Mueller report, as Democrats take the matter to civil court.”

Mueller testimony tentatively set for May 15 – Fox News: “Rep. David Cicilline, D-R.I., said on Sunday that a tentative date of May 15 has been set for Special Counsel Robert Mueller to appear before the House Judiciary Committee and face questioning over his report on Russian interference in 2016 election. Speaking on ‘Fox News Sunday,’ the Rhode Island lawmaker said that while there is no guarantee that Mueller will show up to the hearing, he heard nothing from either Mueller’s representatives or the White House to indicate that the special counsel would not testify. … ‘Obviously, until the date comes, we never have an absolute guarantee,’ he added in response to a question of whether or not Mueller will show up. ‘The White House has so far indicated they would not interfere with Mr. Mueller’s attempt to testify; we hope that won’t change.’”

Trump reverses stance, objects Mueller testifying to Congress – NYT: “President Trump reversed himself on Sunday and said that the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, should not testify before Congress, setting up a potentially explosive confrontation with Democrats over presidential authority and the separation of powers. The president argued on Twitter that Mr. Mueller’s report on Russian interference in the 2016 election — which found no conspiracy between Moscow and Mr. Trump’s campaign but did not exonerate the president on obstruction of justice — was conclusive and that Congress and the American people did not need to hear from Mr. Mueller. ‘Bob Mueller should not testify,’ he said. ‘No redos for the Dems!’”

THE RULEBOOK: CASH ONLY
“A nation cannot long exist without revenues. Destitute of this essential support, it must resign its independence, and sink into the degraded condition of a province.” – Alexander Hamilton, Federalist No. 12

TIME OUT: MOVE OVER FOUR EYES
Smithsonian: “The word ‘scallop’ usually evokes a juicy, round adductor muscle—a seafood delicacy. So it isn’t widely known that scallops have up to 200 tiny eyes along the edge of the mantle lining their shells. The complexities of these mollusk eyes are still being unveiled. A new study published in Current Biology reveals that scallop eyes have pupils that dilate and contract in response to light, making them far more dynamic than previously believed. … The optics of scallop eyes are set up very differently than our own ocular organs. As light enters into the scallop eye, it passes through the pupil, a lens, two retinas (distal and proximal), and then reaches a mirror made of crystals of guanine at the back of the eye. The curved mirror reflects the light onto the interior surface of the retinas, where neural signals are generated and sent to a small visceral ganglion… The structure of a scallop’s eye is similar to the optics systems found in advanced telescopes.”

BIDEN FOCUSES ON TRUMP, NOT REPUBLICAN PARTY
NYT: “As Joseph R. Biden Jr. made his way across Iowa on his first trip as a 2020 presidential candidate, the former vice president repeatedly returned to one term — aberration — when he referred to the Trump presidency. … There is no disagreement among Democrats about the urgency of defeating Mr. Trump. But Mr. Biden’s singular focus on the president as the source of the nation’s ills, while extending an olive branch to Republicans, has exposed a significant fault line in the Democratic primary. Democrats, like Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, see the president as a symptom of something deeper, both in a Republican Party overtaken by Trumpism and a nation cleaved by partisanship. Simply ousting Mr. Trump, they tell voters, is not enough. It’s a debate that goes beyond the policy differences separating a moderate like Mr. Biden from an insurgent like Mr. Sanders, elevating questions about whether the old rules of inside-the-Beltway governance still apply.”

MassGOP approves plan to protect Trump in 2020 primary – Politico: “The Massachusetts Republican Party is aiming to protect President Donald Trump from primary challengers such as former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld by approving a new winner-takes-all delegate plan. The MassGOP approved the 2020 plan last week and will now award all of the party’s delegates to the Republican candidate who clears more than 50 percent of the vote in the state presidential primary. The strategy is a departure from the 2016 primary, when the state party used a proportional method to award delegates to the 17 Republicans running for president. The delegate plan is the latest example of a shifting Massachusetts Republican Party under Chair Jim Lyons, who was elected in January.”

BERNIE IS PLAYING TO WIN
Daily Beast: “In just the last month, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) unloaded a blistering attack on a leading Democratic think tank. He went after former Vice President Joe Biden on a number of policy fronts. And one of his top congressional surrogates accused Mayor Pete Buttigieg of intellectual dishonesty. It’s a new, more aggressive look for Team Sanders. The senator … was known as a gruff but endearing candidate … [is baring] his fangs more quickly this time, in hopes that it may actually win him the nomination. … It’s an effort, aides and associates say, born from the new role he occupies in Democratic politics. With his name ID having skyrocketed after his last run—and having assumed the role of the ideological pied piper of the left—Sanders himself said he no longer feels he needs to take the time to introduce himself or his ideas to voters.”

Biden labels trump a ‘clown’ during campaign stop – Fox News: “Former Vice President Joe Biden took a page out of President Trump’s playbook on Saturday when asked at a South Carolina fundraiser if he had a nickname for the president. The 2020 Democratic presidential front-runner said he didn’t want to get down in the mud with Trump, but if he had to choose a moniker for the current White House occupant it would be a ‘clown.’ ‘There’s so many nicknames I’m inclined to give this guy,’ Biden said, according to Politico. ‘You can just start with clown.’ … At the private fundraiser on Saturday, Biden said Trump’s nicknames were part of his war of words with his political rivals that are meant to keep the discussions away from the issues. ‘On every single issue and on every demeaning thing he says about other people, I have no problem responding directly,’ Biden said.”

Beto takes a stance on impeachment – Dallas Morning News:Beto O’Rourke now explicitly supports impeaching Donald Trump — a stance he had avoided since launching his own campaign for president. ‘We’re finally learning the truth about this president. And yes, there has to be consequences. Yes, there has to be accountability. Yes, I think there’s enough evidence now for the House of Representatives to move forward with impeachment,’ he said in an interview with The Dallas Morning News. … The direct call for impeachment was a shift for the El Paso Democrat, who has long favored impeachment but had refrained from advocating for it or even mentioning it unprompted, as he did Friday. … On Friday, he invoked impeachment in response to an open-ended question about his views on the Mueller investigation that made no mention of impeachment.”

Six Dems below the donor number needed for debates – Politico: “The unconventional, often gimmicky fundraising arms race is part of a desperate scramble to make it past a new threshold set by the Democratic National Committee, 65,000 individual donors, to the first primary debates in June and July. The televised debates could be make-or-break showcases for the 2020 presidential candidates, and the requirement has reshaped the strategy of candidates struggling to cross the donor mark, changing spending priorities and altering the path of their campaigns. … Six candidates — [Kirsten] Gillibrand, [John] Delaney, [Jay] Inslee, former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper and Reps. Tim Ryan and Eric Swalwell — have met the qualification criteria for the debate through their polling, but not through their donors. Sen. Cory Booker and Julian Castro both achieved 65,000 donors within the last few days…”

JUST ANOTHER DAY IN ALASKA
UPI: “An Alaska woman won $311,652 for guessing the exact date and time a tripod would fall into the water after ice gave way on the Tanana River in Nenana, Alaska. Anchorage native Patricia Andrew predicted the ice would go out on April 14 at 12:21 a.m. Alaska Standard Time — making her the only contestant to guess the correct time, officials announced Friday. ‘She had no clue,’ Cherrie Forness, who runs the Ice Classic told the Daily News-Miner. … People buy tickets for the annual event to guess what day and time a tripod sitting on top of the frozen river will fall into the water as the ice melts. This is the first time since 2013 the ice classic had only one winner. If no one chooses the exact time of the tripod falling into the water, the person who guesses the minute closest to the actual time wins.”

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, during an episode of his HBO show, “The Shop,” talked about his initial reaction upon learning about Magic Johnson’s abrupt resignation as the organization’s general manager.

When James was a free agent last summer, the Los Angeles Times reported Johnson made the final push to urge James to don the purple and gold. James revealed that when his friend Randy Mims shared the news that Johnson was stepping down, it left him in shock.

He then added it was “weird” for Johnson to up and leave.

“I came here to be a part of the Lakers organization, having a conversation with Magic. So, it was just weird for him to be like, ‘Nah, I’m out of here.’ And not even have no like, ‘Hey, ‘Bron, kiss my a–, I’m gone.’”

James signed a four-year, $154 million deal with the Lakers last summer. His first season in Los Angeles was mostly overshadowed by injuries. He played in just 55 games and averaged 27.4 points and 8.5 rebounds.

Liberty Vittert: Meghan Markle, Prince Harry’s baby is a BOY — Here’s why I knew they would welcome a son

Westlake Legal Group 694940094001_6033373638001_6033376204001-vs Liberty Vittert: Meghan Markle, Prince Harry's baby is a BOY -- Here's why I knew they would welcome a son Liberty Vittert fox-news/world/personalities/british-royals fox-news/person/prince-harry fox-news/opinion fox news fnc/opinion fnc b3ed8f09-4fed-51e5-bca0-722b2b969439 article

It’s a boy! It’s a boy! The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed a baby boy into the world Monday morning and I couldn’t be more excited – mostly because the baby is healthy, but if I’m completely honest it’s also because I get to say “told you so,” which I won’t say, but I just did…!

A few weeks ago, I wrote an op-ed for Fox News Opinion using a mixture of statistics, common sense, and a little old wives’ intuition to predict that Baby Sussex would indeed be a boy, and telling readers that if you’re the betting kind, then you should place your money on that.

MEGHAN MARKLE’S MOTHER, DORIA RAGLAND, OVERJOYED AT BIRTH OF DUCHESS’ ROYAL BABY WITH PRINCE HARRY

The bookies may have been conflicted, but we used a bit of common sense to determine that, while there were reports that Meghan had announced the baby’s sex to her friends and family at her baby shower in New York City, this was quite unlikely to be true. Given the leaks and gossip coming out of Kensington Palace alone, it would be very surprising for Meghan to have released such a big secret to so many people.

As Monday’s news comes to a welcoming and very excited public, the next big prediction will be close on its heels: What is the baby’s name going to be?

We then took some science, starting with the initial chance that the baby would be a boy – which is 51 percent, not the 50/50 that most assume. We paired this with the fact that Meghan seemed not to suffer extreme morning sickness, swaying the odds further in favor of a boy.

How did we come to that conclusion? The Palace was silent when Meghan pulled out of events for being too tired, especially early in her pregnancy (which she was highly criticized for). But when Kate had a similar situation, the Palace was quick to explain her absence as due to a hospitalization for extreme morning sickness. Had this been the case for Meghan, I’m sure they would have supported her in the same manner. Extreme morning sickness points to a girl, so this is another reason why I concluded that the baby would more like be a boy.

Add in the fact that scientific studies use stress and family situations to predict a baby’s sex – for a woman with a physically-demanding manual job or a woman having a baby on her own, without the father in the picture, odds favor a girl – neither of these being the case when it comes to Meghan.

All of the above pointed us toward Baby Sussex being a boy. And as Monday’s news comes to a welcoming and very excited public, the next big prediction will be close on its heels: What is the baby’s name going to be?

Unfortunately, I am a statistician, and the predictions on baby names don’t tend to come with statistical models, so I will be just as curious and excited to find out the outcome as anyone else. Now, while those in glass houses shall not cast stones, let’s just hope it isn’t in line with the new age celebrity baby names (“Celery” comes to mind).

Still, as a statistician, I can’t help but make one more prediction: the next royal sibling for Baby Sussex will be … a boy.

Democrats in Congress are so worried that the American people will find out what is NOT in the Mueller report that they will say and do almost anything. The report exposes their false assertions that President Trump cooperated with the Russians to influence the 2016 presidential election. They will resort to embarrassing stunts like bringing fast food chicken buckets into congressional hearings. And, they will attempt to destroy the reputation of Attorney General William Barr simply because he is the messenger who released the Mueller report to the public.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi now claims the Attorney General lied to Congress. Her accusation is outrageous because it is patently false and because she merely throws the allegation into the media wind without specifics. Her perfidy is exacerbated because she and her congressional minions, like Rep. Adam Schiff and others, have promised the world that there was direct evidence of Russian “collusion” for the past two years. There wasn’t.

Consider that House Democrat leaders are claiming Barr lied about … what? They are upset because he wrote a memo iterating the major findings in the Mueller report. They castigated Barr for the few weeks it took for him to make legally required redactions in the Mueller report before he could publicly release the report. Turns out Barr’s initial summary was accurate. And, we have a special counsel report that is available for public viewing with very few redactions, proving that Democrats weren’t telling the truth for over two years.

MUELLER TESTIMONY BEFORE HOUSE COMMITTEE TENTATIVELY SET FOR MAY 15, DEM REP SAYS

Barr has made a nearly unredacted version of the report available to select members of Congress, including Democrats who have a reputation for leaking classified material, but all of the Democrats have boycotted and refuse to even view it. Then, they complain that the unredacted version is unavailable.

A reasonable person might ask, “Why are the House Democrats out to get Attorney General Barr?” The answer is that they simply and viscerally hate Donald J. Trump. They still cannot believe the American voter preferred him to their candidate. They began advocating for impeachment before the president was sworn in. Democrats will say and do anything to delegitimize the president, embarrass him, and prevent his success.

Democrats are also gearing up for the 2020 presidential election. They will continue to do anything to prevent the president from being reelected. They cannot believe his regime of lower taxes and fewer regulations was the tonic to cure the anemic Obama economy. For House Democrats, the overwhelming success of the Trump economy must be overshadowed by a continued controversy, even if it is a manufactured scandal with no basis in truth.

House Democrats also are willing to metaphorically shoot the messenger because they must distract the American people from knowing and understanding that the narrative that the Democrats have been putting out for the past two years was an utter lie. House Democrats promised that the president and his campaign were working with the Russians in the 2016 election. The Mueller report refutes their story. Attacking Attorney General Barr provides a substantial distraction to their narrative failure and is an effort to cover up the exoneration of President Trump.

The Democrats must also be troubled that the inspector general will soon be releasing his report regarding the findings of his investigation into the abuse of power, which includes obtaining secret warrants to spy on the Trump campaign under the Obama administration. They dare not let go of their attack on the president and anyone who works with him, knowing that the IG report will likely contain damaging revelations of the Democrat National Committee and the Clinton presidential campaign working with Russians to unleash the police apparatus under President Obama to spy on the Trump campaign for political purposes.

Attorney General Barr has also indicated a willingness to investigate how this bogus special counsel investigation began in the first place. Many of us have been saying for a long time that the origins of the investigation were highly dubious. Is it possible that the Democrat smear of Barr is an attempt to undercut that investigation before it even begins?

The Democrats will continue their attacks in order to obfuscate the findings revealed in the Mueller report, to sully the president for the 2020 election, to distract from the soon-to-be-released IG report on FISA abuse, and to undercut the Barr investigation into the origins of the Russian investigation. While those are compelling reasons for the Democrats to continue their smears and antics, make no mistake, the real reason House Democrats are attacking AG Barr is not nuanced nor complicated: they simply hate Donald J. Trump.

Police officers in northeast Paris have finally yielded to an unforeseen “invasion” that’s forced them from their station.

The culprits? Fleas.

The Paris headquarters has been forced to close after an infestation of fleas made work conditions impossible, according to a police union.

The Alliance Police Union said on Twitter the station in the 19th arrondissement of the French capital had suffered a “flea invasion” that made conditions “intolerable” for days.

The problem originally was discovered three weeks ago, but had gotten worse by Thursday, France Bleu Paris radio reported.

Union official Emmanuel Cravello told the radio station many officers had been bitten, with some bringing the unwanted creepy crawlers back home.

“Several colleagues consulted doctors after bites,” he said. “The problem is that some officials have brought this back home and after that it’s the kids who are bitten. This cannot go on.”

Technically, the pests are re-invading. Le Parisien newspaper reported that the same station had to be evacuated in 2017 because of an infestation of lice and fleas.

Pest control experts are expected to enter the building on Monday and Tuesday to begin extermination efforts. Union officials said they would raise the issue during a meeting with interior minister Christophe Castaner on Monday, Sky News reported.
