Police in New York arrested a man who allegedly tried to abduct a woman on the subway in an incident that was caught on video by another straphanger, the New York Post reported.

Police told the paper that Sonny Alloway, 48, was apprehended Monday afternoon after the video surfaced.

Alloway is accused of grabbing the unidentified woman and carrying her off a Bronx subway car at about 2:45 a.m.

The viral video shows a man dressed in red sitting across from the woman who appears to be trying to get her attention. At one point, before the train leaves the station, the man in red lifts up the woman and exits the car.

They’ve been actors, directors, writers, politicians and, now, they’re apparently skiers.

Hollywood legends Clint Eastwood and Arnold Schwarzenegger recently hit the slopes together for a little winter fun.

Schwarzenegger, 72, shared a photo of himself on the slopes with Eastwood, 89.

“Name a more iconic duo,” the “Terminator” star wrote in the caption. “I’ll wait.”

The two were dressed head to toe in ski gear, both donning blue jackets, ski pants, goggles and hats.

It appears that Schwarzenegger isn’t the only one that finds the photo “iconic,” as a handful of celebs chimed in, echoing his sentiments.

Schumer calls for witness testimony at impeachment trial, says new ‘revelations’ a ‘game changer’

Sen. Chuck Schumer on Monday took up his push to have the Senate issue subpoenas that demand testimony from top Trump administration officials during the Senate impeachment trial after a new report claims to detail what occurred inside the administration during the decision to freeze aid to Ukraine.

The New York Democrat sent a letter last week to fellow senators that cited records including an email sent by the Office of Management and Budget Associate Director Michael Duffey to Defense Department officials roughly an hour-and-a-half after Trump’s controversial July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The email showed a push to place aid on hold after Trump made his request for Ukraine’s help in political investigations. The House voted to impeach Trump earlier this month on obstruction of Congress and abuse of power.

Schumer on Monday pointed to a New York Times report published Sunday that claimed that Trump went forward with freezing the aid despite warnings from his top staffers, including Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and his former adviser John Bolton.

Schumer called the new revelations a “game-changer.”

“This shows all four witnesses we requested—[acting White House chief of staff] Mulvaney, Bolton, Duffey, [White House aide Robert] Blair—were intimately involved & had direct knowledge of Pres. Trump’s decision to cut off aid to benefit himself,” Schumer tweeted.

Schumer was likely referring to the report that said Mulvaney wrote an email to Blair on June 27 inquiring about “the money for Ukraine and whether we can hold it back?” Blair reportedly responded that it was possible but warned him to “expect Congress to become unhinged,” and further the narrative that the president was pro-Russia, the report said.

Trey Gowdy responds to Biden’s subpoena flip-flop

Former South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy appeared on “The Ingraham Angle” Monday and ripped former Vice President Joe Biden for flip-flopping on whether or not he would honor a subpoena to testify before the Senate impeachment trial.

“If you don’t like Joe Biden’s answer, just wait about an hour and he’ll give you the exact opposite,” Gowdy joked to guest host Jason Chaffetz. “I found it dumbfounding. He single-handedly gutted one of the two articles of impeachment. When he said, ‘By the way, you all are trying to remove a president from office for doing what I just promised to do.'”

BIDEN CLARIFIES REMARK THAT HE WOULD NOT COMPLY WITH SENATE SUBPOENA

“While these Democrats are supporting Biden, it’s the exact same conduct,” Gowdy added. “He’s not going to comply with a subpoena, which is what one of the two articles of impeachment against Trump is.”

Biden said Monday there’s no legitimate reason for him to testify at President Trump’s upcoming Senate impeachment trial, even as the former vice president and top-tier Democratic presidential candidate sought to clarify earlier comments on whether he’d comply with a subpoena.

Gowdy also commented on the impeachment trial and the argument for a fair trial, saying for the most part Democrats have made up their minds on how they will vote.

“I can think of maybe six, maybe six that a full-blown trial with witnesses and exhibits might move one way or the other,” Gowdy said. “But the other 94 there are going to vote the same way, whether the trials today or whether it’s a year from now.”

The former congressman also criticized House Speaker Nancy Pelosi holding onto the articles of impeachment and theorized it was an effort to hurt a group of Republican senators.

“This is about putting a handful of Republican senators in tight spots in November, Cory Gardner and Thom Tillis and Susan Collins and Martha McSally. Put them in tight spots, make them cast difficult votes,” he said.

Gowdy believes Pelosi is trying to win Democrats the Senate in order to “neuter” the president’s next term.

The congressman advised Republicans and to not call any witnesses.

“If the trial were today, the president would win. And I don’t think he’d lose a single Republican senator and he might pick up one Democrat,” Gowdy said. “So if you have the jury and you know how they’re going to know how they’re going to rule, go ahead and get it over with. And then the president can say whatever he wants to after the trial is over.”

FAA proposes rule change to force identification of Colorado, Nebraska drones

One day after Colorado and western Nebraska counties reported a series of mysterious, nocturnal drone flights, the Federal Aviation Administration is promoting a rule change last week that requires most drones to be identifiable remotely, a report said Monday.

The rule change, announced Thursday, have been in works for more than a year, FAA spokesman Ian Gregor said in an email to the Denver Post Monday.

Under the legislation, law enforcement, federal security agencies and the FAA would be allowed to identify drones flying through their jurisdiction, the FAA said.

COLORADO, NEBRASKA SHERIFFS PUZZLED BY NOCTURNAL DRONE FLIGHTS

A squadron of drones have been flying above a total of five Midwestern states every night for more than two weeks leaving both residents and officials wondering who’s flying them and what purpose they are serving, the newspaper reported.

Sheriffs in Lincoln, Washington and Sedgwick counties in Colorado and Nebraska say their offices have been inundated with calls about the devices.

While there has been no claim of responsibility, an abundance of theories have been offered, ranging from the work of a Mexican drug cartel, to aliens from a far-off galaxy to The History Channel searching for long-lost cities or farmers looking to track cows.

PETER NAVARRO: US RESPONDS TO THREAT FROM CHINESE DRONES – WE’RE REBUILDING AMERICAN DRONE INDUSTRY

Law enforcement officials have reached out to several companies and government agencies – all of whom have said the drones don’t belong to them, the Post reported. That list includes the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army Forces Command, Fort Carson, the Drug Enforcement Administration, Paragon Geophysical Services, the U.S. Geological Survey, Amazon and the Colorado Department of Transportation.

A nocturnal squadron of drones have been buzzing the skies of both Colorado and Nebraska, as well as three other Midwestern states, for the past few weeks.

Meanwhile, the FAA is working with local law enforcement on the case, but also hasn’t identified the drone operator, Gregor said Monday.

Local sheriffs told the newspaper the drones don’t appear to be “malicious” and they’re likely not breaking any laws. Flight plans are not required to be filed with the FAA unless the drone pilots are flying in restricted airspace.

The proposed rule will be open for public comment for 60 days, according to the FAA, which said the proposed change would help drones better “integrate” into the nation’s airspace, the Post reported. Nearly 1.5 million drones and 160,000 remote pilots are registered with the FAA, the agency said in a statement.

Matt Quinn, owner of Great Lakes Drone Co., one of only a handful of companies in the nation with FAA permission to fly multiple small drones at night, said he’s puzzled by the reports out of Colorado.

“It’s the talk of the drone community,” he said.

Pete Buttigieg, the small-town Indiana mayor who finds himself among the leading Democrats running for president, continued to take jabs at former Vice President Joe Biden, saying in an interview published Monday that he would not want to see his own son serving on the board of a Ukrainian company while he led anti-corruption efforts in the country.

Buttigieg made the comment during a wide-ranging interview with the Associated Press. The two candidates are seen by many voters as the leading moderates in the Democrat field.

CNN’S JAKE TAPPER SAYS HUNTER BIDEN’S UKRAINE GIG ‘DOES STINK’

The South Bend, Ind., mayor said he would “do everything we can to prevent even the appearance of a conflict. That’s very important because as we see it can create a lot of complications even when there is no wrongdoing.”

BLOOMBERG TALKS ABOUT WHAT HE’D DO WITH COMPANY IF ELECTED

He insisted that the issues raised about Hunter Biden and his father by Trump are diversionary tactics.

It remains to be seen how damaging Ukraine will be for Biden, but the issue has been raised on the campaign trail. On Sunday, hecklers in Milford, N.H., started chanting “quid pro Joe.”

The Biden campaign declined to comment about Buttigieg’s remarks when reached by the AP. The office did not immediately respond to an after-hours email from Fox News. Buttigieg has repeatedly stressed that Biden is not a target in the impeachment proceedings.

This is not the first time the 37-year-old mayor took shots at Biden, 77, but the attacks appear to be intent on damaging the leading candidate less than two months before the primary. Vanity Fair ran a headline on Monday, “Pete Buttigieg Breaks out the Flamethrower on Biden’s Iraq Vote.”

The report pointed out an interview that Buttigieg had with local public television in Iowa where he criticized Biden’s initial support of invading Iraq.

“This is an example of why years in Washington is not always the same thing as judgment,” he said.

Buttigieg has faced criticism from rivals for his scant national and foreign policy experience. The Vanity Fair report pointed out that “of all the leading candidates, Buttigieg has the least experience; Biden, who spent decades in Washington as a senator and eight years as vice president under Barack Obama has made his extensive experience a major selling point of his candidacy.”

Buttigieg is polling first in Iowa and New Hampshire but is fourth nationally. Biden continues to lead the field.

Retired Army Col. Douglas Macgregor told Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” that Sunday’s U.S. airstrikes in Iraq and Syria are an attempt to involve American forces in another Middle Eastern war.

“What we’ve heard routinely is that we’re coming out. We’re coming out. We’re coming out. Each time the president seems to be subverted and we end up with a few more troops left,” Macgregor told host Mark Steyn Monday about the continued presence of U.S. forces in Syria. “So it seems that your essential suspicion is probably accurate. The airstrikes took place days after a U.S. defense contractor was killed at a military compound in a rocket attack.

Military jet fighters conducted “precision defensive strikes” on five sites of Kataeb Hezbollah, an Iran-backed Iraqi militia, Jonathan Hoffman, a spokesperson for the Pentagon told Fox News. Two defense officials added that Air Force F-15 jet fighters carried out the strikes.

Burnett revealed that filming the show was a bit trickier than expected.

The body camera video released by the New York City Sergeants’ Benevolent Association shows a man identified as Steven Haynes, 40, punch an NYPD officer and wrestle him to the ground, refusing to move from on top of him.

Haynes was arrested but was later released days before a bail reform law takes effect in New York mandating that judges set free suspects in any non-sexual assault that doesn’t actually cause a physical injury.

“It used to be that we would focus on the law-abiding citizens, trying to keep their communities safe and prosecute the bad guys…but now, the priorities are reversed and we seem to be worrying about the bad guys and leaving the law-abiding citizens to their tender mercy,” Barron said.

Warning against the controversial new policy in a recent article titled “New York’s Thickening Cloud of Violent Crime,” Barron pointed to the case of Tiffany Harris, who was arrested for assault in Brooklyn Sunday a day after she was released following her arraignment on charges that she yelled anti-Semitic slurs and slapped three Jewish women in the face.

“Tucker” guest host Mark Steyn said the latest reforms seem to be “unwinding a quarter-century of effective policies since [former Mayor Rudolph] Giuliani,” and warned of going back in time to the 1970s and 1980s where “the Democrats’ sympathies were all with the criminal class.”

“The city became a safe city because we focussed on keeping communities safe…and we are reversing this,” Barron agreed.

“We’re not heading in a good direction,” he added. “Things aren’t looking good. The pendulum has yet to reach its climax and it’s only at that point that I think they’ll reverse things.”
