Rush Limbaugh: ‘The left is totally crazy,’ Democratic Party will ‘fall apart’ if Biden nominated

Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh warned the “lunacy” of the “left” should be a concern for people and speculated that if former Vice President Joe Biden does secure the Democratic nomination that the party will “fall apart.”

“We’re past the point of no return on this,” Limbaugh told his listeners on Tuesday. “We’re past the point of thinking that it’s peaked, that it’s gonna start rolling back.

“It hasn’t peaked yet. Meaning this perversion, wackiness, lunacy on the left.”

Limbaugh was reacting to a tweet posted by Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., reacting to recent events in the news over the last week.

TUCKER CARLSON: THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY IS NOW A RELIGIOUS CULT

“In just the last 7 days we have decided that the Betsy Ross flag is offensive, to kick police officers out of Starbucks, boycott Nike (again) Starbucks (again) & now HomeDepot. And to lick Ice Cream at grocery stores & put back in freezer,” Rubio tweeted.  “Has everyone gone crazy?”

The radio host responded to the tweet saying that many have underestimated the “left,” and noted that no one pushed back until President Trump came along.

“The left is totally crazy. They have been totally crazy for a long time. And too many people have looked at it as just a fringe minority that doesn’t pose any kind of new existential threat, and that’s just not accurate. They have been threatening and posing a threat for years. And there hasn’t been any pushback until Trump came along,” Limbaugh said.

Limbaugh further said the Democratic party will nominate someone who “believes all this stuff” and predicted if Biden is nominated the party will “fall apart” but the movement will continue.

“They’re gonna nominate somebody that believes all of this stuff, the odds are. And if they end up nominating [Biden], that party is gonna fall apart. It may be in the process of falling apart anyway. But the left isn’t gonna fall apart,” Limbaugh said.

So now there’s some official pushback, and look what happened. Donald Trump wins the presidency on the basis that finally somebody sees it and wants to do something about it. And even with this we still have people who don’t see it yet or who don’t want to see it.

Who Is Jeffrey Epstein? An Opulent Life, Celebrity Friends and Lurid Accusations

[What you need to know to start the day: Get New York Today in your inbox.]

For years, Jeffrey Epstein lived a luxurious life, socializing with celebrities, jetting off to Europe, California or the Caribbean, where he owned a private island.

In New York, where he lived in one of the largest private houses in Manhattan, his name turned up in gossip columns from time to time, linked to presidents and princes. But he largely stayed out of the spotlight, almost never talking to reporters.

He remained an enigma, a mysterious money manager who even managed to keep any client list private.

Now Mr. Epstein, 66, is at the center of a case involving sex-trafficking and conspiracy charges. He was charged on Monday with bringing girls as young as 14 to his homes in Manhattan and Palm Beach, Fla., for sex. He is also accused of paying some of them to recruit other girls, also underage. Mr. Epstein pleaded not guilty.

He was indicted by a federal grand jury in New York more than a decade after the top federal prosecutor in Miami — Alexander Acosta, now President Trump’s labor secretary — signed off on a plea deal involving similar allegations that was kept secret from his accusers until it had been finalized in court.

It spared Mr. Epstein from a trial and possible long sentence in federal prison. Instead, he served 13 months on state charges of soliciting prostitution in Florida. But he was allowed to leave the jail six days a week to go to an office and work.

Since then, The Miami Herald has run a series of articles about Mr. Epstein’s case, and the Justice Department has faced criticism of the plea deal as another instance of a well-connected man sidestepping a reckoning. The prosecutors in Manhattan who brought the new charges against Mr. Epstein made it clear that the 2008 deal in Florida did not apply.

“The agreement, by its terms, only binds the Southern District of Florida,” Geoffrey S. Berman, the United States attorney in Manhattan, said on Monday.

The indictment marked the downfall of a man who had, until then, been dogged for years by allegations that he lured girls and young women into disturbing sexual encounters but seemed to have escaped serious consequences.

He was a noticeable presence at Manhattan parties and movie screenings: Where other men wore jackets and ties, he wore what he always wore — a polo-style shirt, open at the collar, and jeans.

People who have met Mr. Epstein describe him as charming, chatty, disarming and funny. New York magazine said in 2002 that he brought “a trophy-hunter’s zeal to his collection of scientists and politicians.”

In 2015, when the now-defunct site Gawker published what it said was his address book, there were entries for three Trumps (Donald, his ex-wife Ivana and their daughter Ivanka); Michael R. Bloomberg, the former mayor; the actors Alec Baldwin and Dustin Hoffman; the singer and songwriter Jimmy Buffett (whose name was misspelled); and the Nobel Peace Prize winner Elie Wiesel, among many others.

He turned up in the gossip columns but lived “a life full of question marks,” as New York magazine put it in 2002. More than one writer likened Mr. Epstein to Jay Gatsby, the enduringly impenetrable F. Scott Fitzgerald character. He was said to look a little like the designer Ralph Lauren, who was born in the Bronx.

But Mr. Epstein came from Brooklyn. His father was a city Parks Department employee. Mr. Epstein took classes in physics at The Cooper Union in the mid-1970s and later attended New York University, but did not receive a degree from either school, New York magazine reported.

He began his career as a math teacher at the Dalton School, an elite private school in Manhattan whose alumni include the cable-news anchor Anderson Cooper, the comedian Chevy Chase and the actress Claire Danes.

“By most accounts, he was something of a Robin Williams-in-“Dead Poets Society” type of figure, wowing his high-school classes with passionate mathematical riffs,” according to the New York magazine article.

From there he took his math skills to Bear Stearns, then a powerful Wall Street investment bank.

Why the Trump White House Is Caught Up in the Jeffrey Epstein Scandal

Both New York magazine and Vanity Fair magazine reported that he made connections at Dalton that led him to Alan C. Greenberg, then the dauntless chief executive of the Wall Street firm Bear Stearns. Known as “Ace,” Mr. Greenberg was later the firm’s chairman and the chairman of its executive committee.

Under Mr. Greenberg and another top executive, James Cayne, Mr. Epstein “did well enough to become a limited partner — a rung beneath full partner,” Vanity Fair reported.

He left in the early 1980s, forming a consulting firm called the International Assets Group that he ran out of his apartment, according to Vanity Fair. Later he set up a money management firm called J. Epstein & Co. It eventually became the Financial Trust Company, based in the Virgin Islands.

But there were expensive footnotes about him and Bear Stearns. When two big Bear Stearns hedge funds collapsed in 2007 at the start of the financial crisis, Mr. Epstein’s firm was one of the bigger losers, out more than $50 million. Mr. Epstein’s firm also claimed in a lawsuit that he lost even more money when Bear Stearns itself collapsed in 2008.

Exactly what his money management operation did was cloaked in secrecy, as were most of the names of whomever he did it for. He claimed to work for a number of billionaires, but the only known major client was Leslie Wexner, the billionaire founder of several retail chains, including The Limited.

Mr. Wexner is the chief executive of L Brands, which now operates Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works. Mr. Epstein also did work for Steven Hoffenberg, a financier who offered to rescue The New York Post in 1994, the year before he was charged with securities fraud.

Mr. Epstein’s townhouse was once owned by a company that he and Mr. Wexner both controlled. In 2011, it was transferred to a Virgin Island-based company called Maple Inc., of which Mr. Epstein is the president.

A spokeswoman for Mr. Wexner said the retail magnate had “severed ties” with Mr. Epstein about a decade ago. Calls to Financial Trust’s office in St. Thomas and to a lawyer for Mr. Epstein there have not been returned.

Over the weekend, investigators smashed the tall wooden front doors of Mr. Epstein’s $56 million Manhattan townhouse in a raid, and said they found a safe with lewd photographs. In arguing that his wealth and private jets made him a flight risk, they said he had six residences.

They also emphasized his private island in describing his primary residence on Little St. James Island, in the Virgin Islands. They said he had a second home on the islands, along with places in New Mexico — a ranch he reportedly named “Zorro” — and Paris.

They also described a fleet that included S.U.V.s and a Mercedes-Benz sedan. His New York State sex-offender listing, required after his deal in Florida in 2008, said he also had a 2017 Bentley.

There was no mention of the Boeing 727 — decorated with mink and sable throws — that flew him to Africa with former President Bill Clinton and the actor Kevin Spacey in 2002. It also flew Mr. Epstein and other acquaintances to a TED Talk in California with lunch catered by Le Cirque, a Manhattan restaurant with a celebrity clientele.

President Clinton “knows nothing about the terrible crimes” that Mr. Epstein was charged with in New York or pleaded guilty to in Florida in 2008, a spokesman for the former president said on Monday. The spokesman, Angel Ureña, said that Mr. Clinton had taken four trips on Mr. Epstein’s plane in 2002 and 2003 — one to Europe, one to Asia and two to Africa.

Mr. Ureña emphasized that Mr. Clinton was accompanied by staff members and supporters of Mr. Clinton’s foundation “on every leg of every trip” and was accompanied by someone from his staff and his security detail when he made “one brief visit” to Mr. Epstein’s home. That was around the same time as a meeting in Mr. Clinton’s office in Harlem in 2002, Mr. Ureña said.

“He’s not spoken to Epstein in well over a decade, and has never been to Little St. James Island, Epstein’s ranch in New Mexico or his residence in Florida,” Mr. Ureña said.

Not everyone who flew on Mr. Epstein’s planes was a boldface name. Models “have been heard saying they are full of gratitude to Epstein for flying them around, and he is a familiar face to many of the Victoria’s Secret girls,” Vanity Fair said in 2003 after noting, “Epstein is known about town as a man who loves women — lots of them, mostly young.”

While Mr. Epstein may have enjoyed proximity to power, he made relatively modest political contributions, according to Federal Election Commission records.

He donated at least $188,126 to federal candidates between 1987 and 2005, most of it to Democrats, peaking around Hillary Clinton’s campaign for the United States Senate in 2000. He gave $40,000 to groups supporting her then.

He has given money to only two federal candidates since his 2008 criminal case, one of them being Stacey Plaskett, the Democratic congresswoman from the Virgin Islands, where he has a home. Ms. Plaskett said on Tuesday that she would give the money to charity.

Former Senator Robert Torricelli, who led the Senate Democrats’ campaign arm in that election cycle, said on Tuesday that he had never met Mr. Epstein or spoken with him. Robert Zimmerman, who raised funds for Mrs. Clinton’s Senate race, said that he did not recall any interactions with Mr. Epstein.

Sometimes Mr. Epstein’s donations were unexpected and unwanted. Last October, he made an unsolicited $10,000 donation online to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. The committee’s finance staff returned it, a former committee official said.

Private as he was, Mr. Epstein was apparently concerned about what the public thought of him. A mutual friend arranged for him to meet R. Couri Hay, a public relations consultant. Mr. Hay said on Monday that their first meeting, at Mr. Epstein’s townhouse, took place three years ago.

Mr. Epstein was not ready to re-emerge in the public eye — not then, anyway. Three months ago, Mr. Epstein called and invited him over to discuss damage control, Mr. Hay said.

“He hates every story starting with ‘billionaire pervert,’” Mr. Hay said. “Jeffrey had long stories about the difference between pedophilia with very young children and tweens and teens a little older.” He added, “It was his way of trying to talk his way around it.”

Mr. Hay said he ultimately declined to work for Mr. Epstein. He said he had misgivings about Mr. Epstein’s sincerity.

Tropical depression forecast to form, could become 'dangerous' hurricane with 'damaging winds and deadly storm surge'

CLOSEWestlake Legal Group icon_close Tropical depression forecast to form, could become 'dangerous' hurricane with 'damaging winds and deadly storm surge'

Officials at the National Hurricane Center are urging people to ‘prepare now’ for this year’s hurricane season. (May 31) AP

The second storm of the 2019 Atlantic hurricane season appears likely to form over the next couple of days.

“This system has the potential to become a dangerous hurricane,” the National Weather Service in Lake Charles, Louisiana, said on its Facebook page. “The threat for damaging winds and deadly storm surge is increasing.”

The National Hurricane Center said Tuesday that there’s an 80% chance a tropical depression will form this week in the Gulf of Mexico.

“Regardless of whether or not a tropical cyclone forms, this system has the potential to produce heavy rainfall along portions of the northern and eastern U.S. Gulf Coast later this week,” the hurricane center said in its 8 a.m. advisory.

If the depression’s winds reach 39 mph, it would become Tropical Storm Barry.

“The possibility of intensification to a tropical storm or even a low-end hurricane is real, particularly for the western Gulf Coast,” according to meteorologist Ryan Truchulet of Weather Tiger.

At first, development of the system will be slow, AccuWeather said. However, if the system remains offshore, it could gain strength at a fast pace and drift toward the central and western Gulf of Mexico this weekend.

“There are a number of petroleum rigs and refineries along the central and western Gulf Coast, and there may be considerable risk if this storm ramps up, develops to its full potential and travels in that direction,” AccuWeather meteorologist Alex Sosnowski said.

Rain, and lots of it, appears likely to be the main threat from the storm.

“Heavy rain is possible from the upper Texas coast to southern Louisiana, southern Mississippi, southern Alabama and parts of the Florida Panhandle,” the Weather Channel said.

Up to 10 to as much as 15 inches of rain is possible, CNN meteorologist Dave Hennen said.

As of the latest model runs midday Tuesday, there is “growing consensus that Barry will develop in 36-48 hours and then slowly track westward thru northern Gulf,” tweeted BAM Weather meteorologist Ryan Maue. “Landfall possible from far Northeast Texas to Louisiana by Saturday.”

The storm could also produce “wind and storm surge impacts later this week or this weekend from Louisiana to the Upper Texas coast,” the hurricane center warned.

Tropical systems are occasional visitors to the U.S. in July: The most recent July hurricane to hit the continental U.S. was Hurricane Arthur in North Carolina in 2014, according to Colorado State University meteorologist Phil Klotzbach.

“The most recent July tropical storm landfall was Tropical Storm Emily in Florida in 2017,” he said.

The strongest recent storm to make landfall in the United States in July was Hurricane Dennis, which hit the western Florida Panhandle on July 10, 2005, as a Category 3 hurricane, the Weather Channel said.

Border apprehensions decline 28 percent following US-Mexico partnership, DHS says

Westlake Legal Group 12_AP19176624675190 Border apprehensions decline 28 percent following US-Mexico partnership, DHS says Gregg Re fox-news/us/immigration/illegal-immigrants fox-news/us/immigration/border-security fox-news/politics/executive/homeland-security fox news fnc/politics fnc article 526ca18d-fc02-5710-bca2-9b79501900f2

The Department of Homeland Security announced Tuesday that apprehensions at the southwest border plummeted in June after the Mexican government agreed early in the month — under the threat of punishing U.S. tariffs — to dramatically step up its own immigration enforcement efforts.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) data showed a 28 percent drop in apprehensions from May, when 144,278 individuals were detained. Although some analysts blamed the “summer heat” for part of the new decline, the Trump administration noted in a statement that the decline in apprehensions “outpaces last year’s decline by 11 percent” in the same period.

The numbers refer to would-be immigrants caught trying to illegally cross the border, and not migrants who approach ports of entry.

The reduction in apprehensions “accounts for decreases across all demographics, including unaccompanied minors, family units and single adults, as well as decreases in migrants from all Northern Triangle countries, particularly those coming from Guatemala,” DHS said in a statement.

“Decreasing apprehension numbers will provide greater opportunities for the DHS to address capacity challenges for those in custody and speed the movement of unaccompanied children into Health and Human Services (HHS) care,” the statement continued.

Law enforcement and administration officials said President Trump’s hard push for the deal with Mexico had made all the difference. Deputy Commissioner for U.S. Customs and Border Protection Robert Perez told Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom” on Tuesday that morale among law enforcement at the border had increased.

BORDER PATROL DECLARES ‘FULL-BLOWN EMERGENCY,’ AS FORMER DHS OFFICIAL SAYS ‘DESPERATION’ HAS SET IN

“I think it’s a combination of a few things,” Perez said. “I think it certainly is an unprecedented agreement that we’ve made with Mexico, that the president was able to secure about a month ago. We are definitely seeing and are encouraged by the steps Mexico has taken.”

Earlier in June, Mexico committed to deploy thousands of National Guard troops throughout Mexico, including at its northern and southern land borders, as well as to increase actions to dismantle human trafficking operations and take extra steps to coordinate with the American government to share information and “better protect and secure our common border,” according to a statement from the State Department.

Trump had taken a tough position toward Mexico just prior to that breakthrough, tweeting, “If we are unable to make the deal, Mexico will begin paying Tariffs at the 5% [sic] level …!”

“On June 10th, the United States will impose a 5% [sic] Tariff on all goods coming into our Country from Mexico, until such time as illegal migrants coming through Mexico, and into our Country, STOP,” Trump warned on May 30. “The Tariff will gradually increase until the Illegal Immigration problem is remedied, … ..at which time the Tariffs will be removed. Details from the White House to follow.”

Shortly after Trump’s threat but before the deal was reached, Mexico’s financial intelligence agency announced it had frozen the bank accounts of 26 people who it claimed to “have presumably participated in migrant smuggling and the organization of illegal migrant caravans.”

MEXICO USING X-RAY TECHNOLOGY TO CRACK DOWN ON ILLEGAL MIGRANTS

The agency said it had detected money transfers from central Mexico to six Mexican border cities presumably related to the caravans.

And some 200 Mexican military police, immigration agents and federal police blocked the advance of about 1,000 Central American migrants who were walking north along a highway in the southern part of the country.

“We are definitely seeing and are encouragd by the steps Mexico has taken.”

— Deputy Commissioner for U.S. Customs and Border Protection Robert Perez

The group of migrants, including many women and children, set out early from Ciudad Hidalgo at the Mexico-Guatemala border and was headed for Tapachula, the principal city in the region. State and local police accompanied the caravan. The officials blocked the highway near the community of Metapa, about 11 miles from Tapachula.

And this week, it emerged that while the Mexican National Guard deploys to places like Tapachula on the country’s southern border and makes changes to its asylum protocol, agents with the country’s National Migration Institute (INM) are using a giant X-ray to find migrants being smuggled into the country in trucks.

Mexican officials said they caught more than 200 migrants hidden in trucks the last two days, using X-rays to see the people hidden inside.

The Mexican security ministry also said it found 228 migrants in a routine search of a soft drink transportation truck in one of its southern states on Monday.

Billionaire Noam Gottesman Accused Of Cutting Curb To Create Parking Spot

A billionaire hedge fund manager shaved down a public sidewalk in Manhattan to create his own parking space, according to the New York Daily News.

Noam Gottesman had the curb cut away during renovations to his West Village compound, supposedly to create a needed driveway, the news outlet reported. But the Daily News suggested the real goal was a personal parking spot.

Anybody else who tries to park in that space is reportedly shooed away by Gottesman’s employees with a warning that their vehicle will be towed.

The New York City Department of Buildings (DOB) told the Daily News the sneaky change amounts to an illegal curb cut.

From the news outlet:

His team insisted in a city court hearing in May that the building has the right to a curb cut ― but in fact Gottesman, 58, installed his personal perk without the proper permits, and is maintaining it without permission, DOB confirmed to the Daily News.

“The plans for the … project do not show any curb cuts and the owner did not apply for an accessory-use curb cut during this process, as required. In addition, the building’s current certificate of occupancy does not reflect a legal curb cut,” said DOB spokesman Joe Soldevere.

Gottesman has also posted “No Parking” and “Active Driveway” warnings on the doors of his compound leading to the curb cut.

Through a lawyer, Gottesman told the Daily News that the curb cut follows the law. In May, a court hearing officer dismissed a fine issued by DOB related to the parking spot.

Gottesman made headlines in October of last year with the revelation that he was being sued for $34 million for allegedly undermining a redevelopment project that would have affected his neighboring townhouse. That same month, in other billionaires-trying-to-push-the-public-out news, the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear California venture capitalist Vinod Khosla’s appeal of a ruling that allows a beach access path to cut through a coastal village he owns.

The Department of Buildings told the Daily News it will send inspectors to re-investigate Gottesman’s controversial parking space.

Bret Baier: Trump administration will consider ‘retooling’ citizenship question

Bret Baier has argued that the Trump administration will continue to push for inclusion of the controversial citizenship question on the 2020 census, despite being thwarted by the Supreme Court last week.

It was ruled last month the question couldn’t be added for now, but left open the possibility that additional arguments could change its mind. Civil rights groups argued that the Trump administration’s reasons for including the question were merely pretextual efforts to discourage illegal immigrants from responding to the Census.

“There’s a possibility of retooling it and going a different way at it,” Baier said during a Tuesday appearance on “The Daily Briefing With Dana Perino.”

CAL THOMAS: CENSORING THE CENSUS IS ABOUT POLITICS, NOT THE LAW

“The administration, at the president’s guidance, will try to do that,” the “Special Report” host continued.

The Commerce Department has previously said that the deadline to begin the process of printing census forms was June 30, but President Trump has made clear his desire to delay census printing until the question is included.

“I have asked the lawyers if they can delay the Census, no matter how long, until the United States Supreme Court is given additional information from which it can make a final and decisive decision on this very critical matter,” he tweeted on June 27, the day the decision was handed down.

The question was controversial and the subject of several lawsuits after many lawmakers argued that residents who are not living legally in the United States would simply not return the census – leading to misappropriation of resources and improper political representation.

Population counts from the Census are used to apportion House seats among the 50 states, and a new electoral map based on the Census will be in effect for the 2024 presidential election. States receive votes in the Electoral College equal to the number of members in their congressional delegation, counting both House and Senate seats.

Judge Blocks DOJ Request To Switch Lawyers In Census Citizenship Case

Westlake Legal Group 5d250a293b00004d00dabf05 Judge Blocks DOJ Request To Switch Lawyers In Census Citizenship Case

A federal judge in New York blocked the Justice Department on Tuesday from replacing almost all of the lawyers defending the Trump administration’s efforts to add a citizenship question to the 2020 census, saying the government had not offered adequate reasoning for why it wanted new counsel.

The Justice Department announced the replacements on Sunday, days after President Donald Trump contradicted his own lawyers and said he would push ahead with adding a citizenship question to the 2020 census. Some saw the decision to replace the attorneys as a sign that the Trump administration was treading on shaky legal ground and did not want to make further representations to the court.

The Justice Department offered no explanation for why the lawyers were withdrawing and, on Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Jesse Furman said the government’s request to switch lawyers was “patently deficient.”

“Defendants provide no reasons, let alone ‘satisfactory reasons,’ for the substitution of counsel,” Furman wrote. He said he would allow two of the 11 attorneys to withdraw because they now had different jobs.

Furman ordered each of the attorneys to submit sworn affidavits explaining their “satisfactory reasons” for withdrawing. The plaintiffs in the case ― a group of states and advocacy groups ― are also seeking sanctions against the department for allegedly misleading them about the way the citizenship question was added. Furman also ordered that the lawyers who want to withdraw be available for any proceedings around that request.

The Justice Department declined to comment on Furman’s Tuesday ruling.

It’s not normal for a court to deny a request to swap out an entire trial team. It’s not normal for either a President or an Attorney General to promise open defiance of the Supreme Court. No part of this is normal. Justin Levitt, a former top official in the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division

It’s normal for attorneys to give reasons to “come and go on cases,” said Justin Levitt, a former top official in the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division. But it was unusual to switch out an entire team of lawyers “in overtime, with no explanation,” he added.

“It’s not normal for a court to deny a request to swap out an entire trial team. It’s not normal for either a President or an Attorney General to promise open defiance of the Supreme Court,” he said. “No part of this is normal.  No part of this is even normal-adjacent.”

It is “exceptionally unusual” for a judge to deny a DOJ request to switch attorneys, said Sasha Samberg-Champion, another former Justice Department attorney. “Usually DOJ lawyers are treated as pretty fungible for representation purposes,” he added.

The order, Samberg-Champion said, “suggests that Judge Furman is viewing these departing lawyers as, essentially, witnesses to potential misconduct whose testimony may be relevant to a sanctions motion.”

Dale Ho, an attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union who is representing some of the plaintiffs in the case, said the Justice Department “owes the public and the courts an explanation for its unprecedented substitution of the entire legal team that has been working on this case.”

“The Trump administration is acting like it has something to hide, and we won’t rest until we know the truth,” he said.

Furman blocked the Trump administration from adding a citizenship question to the census in January, and that decision was upheld by the Supreme Court last month. The Justice Department said no citizenship question would appear on the census last week, but then Trump said he would push ahead and try to find a way to get the question on the survey.

Trump’s push caught the attorneys off guard, and they were forced to reverse their position a day later in federal court.

“Toy Story” actor Tom Hanks turned 63 years old on Tuesday, so naturally his son Colin Hanks celebrated the special day by seemingly wishing a happy birthday to “Batman” star Michael Keaton.

The younger Hanks wrote the message to his “Pops” on Instagram – but instead of using a photo of his actual father, he posted a photo of Keaton, known for films such as “Spotlight” and “Beetlejuice.”

TOM HANKS ON PARTING WITH ‘TOY STORY’ CHARACTER WOODY: ‘IT WAS TERRIBLE’

“Wanna wish a Happy 63rd Birthday to my dad!!!” the younger Hanks wrote. “He’s a good man with a great sense of humor. Love ya Pops!”

The 41-year-old has developed a penchant for using photos of Keaton when referring to his two-time Oscar-winning father and star of ‘80s comedies “Splash” and “Money Pit.”

In 2016, he wished his dad a happy father’s day with an image of Keaton in the 1982 movie “Night Shift.”

Hanks followed up on his Father’s Day prank two years later in 2018 and again in 2019 when he posted photos of Keaton in 1983’s “Mr. Mom” and 1986’s “Gung Ho,” respectively.

Colin Hanks has yet to let fans in on the joke with his dad. The elder Hanks and Keaton voiced characters together in “Toy Story 3” in 2010 and each gained fame for starring in a slew of comedy films throughout the 1980s.

Keaton won’t celebrate his real birthday until Sept. 5 when he’ll turn 68.
