Here’s Proof that the Right Respects the Environment More than the Left Does

Climate activists demonstrate in Paris, Saturday, Dec.12, 2015 during the COP21, the United Nations Climate Change Conference. Several environmental and human rights groups are planning protests around Paris to call attention to populations threatened by man-made global warming and urge an end to human use of oil, gas and coal. (AP Photo/Thibault Camus)

The left’s cult of environmentalism sure is loud and flashy, but despite all their efforts to “bring awareness” of their church’s doctrines to the public, it doesn’t seem to make one bit of difference. In fact, we could venture to guess that a lot of what these climate alarmists are doing is harmful to the environment.

Meanwhile, the right seems far more responsible and helpful when it comes to the environment.

Some perfect examples are the protests themselves. As a Daily Caller reporter pointed out in a man on the street interview-style video at the Climate Strike in D.C., many of the protesters who show up at these kinds of rallies get there by burning fossil fuels in jets and cars while holding signs that were made by cutting down trees. They also utilize plastics, which are harmful to the environment to both make and dispose of.

(Watch: Climate Protesters Try To Justify Their Use Of Climate Harming Products)

Not to mention the fact that during these events, protesters will do stupid things that harm the environment for reasons I’m not sure about. In D.C., they stall traffic by blocking roadways which keeps those cars on the road burning more fuel to stay on and backing up traffic to multiply the problem.

They also, for some reason, decided to set a dumpster fire that spews smoke and fumes from what’s burned in there while complaining that the world is on fire and needs to be put out. The cognitive dissonance is astounding.

Climate activists are also notorious for leaving behind tons of trash during their protests. Even the pipeline protests, which were supposed to be purposed for combatting the supposedly environmentally damaging pipelines, left behind so much trash and waste that the land was actually that was deemed a “sensitive wildlife habitat” was destroyed.

As of this writing, the climate protest in D.C. features a twerking man that is being sprinkled with confetti, which is being left on the ground. That’s not activism, that’s littering.

All the while, these climate protesters continue to live lavish lifestyles of consumerism, waste, and convenience, even as they complain about how everyone else is screwing up the planet. Even the elite who push climate change alarmism live these lifestyles while flying to climate summits and events by taking private jets, burning an immense amount of fuel.

(WATCH: Australian Broadcaster Takes Down The Spoiled Climate Protesting Students In Epic Fashion)

They demonize capitalism as the reason this is happening, but forget that capitalism is the system capable of the most technological progression which can then help us develop better ways of obtaining energy. They want you to cut back on your consumption of various foods, such as beef but hold BBQs for photo ops.

As the hypocritical complaining from the left gets wild attention from media and politicians, the right is actually doing what’s necessary to help the environment.

I’ve seen the right push for nuclear energy, which is far cleaner and creates way less waste. It’s far more environmentally safe than even solar and wind power, which requires massive amounts of rare earth metals to be dug out of mountains and swaths of land to be destroyed and repurposed for their implementation. And that’s all before it begins killing the wildlife.

(READ: An Environmentalist’s Blistering Article Against Renewable Energy Wrecks AOC’s Green New Deal)

Unlike the left, which believes the government will magically fix all of the world’s problems, the right believes in the ingenuity and gumption of brilliant minds to create new or improved energy sources through the free exchange of ideas and market forces of capitalism.

In terms of everyday help, the right in general smiles on the act of hunting, which when done in moderation actually helps the environment by keeping populations at manageable levels. In Texas, we hunt the wild hogs that breed very quickly, and with few natural predators, it’s up to humans to keep these populations low so that they don’t destroy the land and ruin the lives of the surrounding wildlife. Conservationism is part of the game, not just the blood sport the left makes hunting out to be.

What’s more, while the left is busy littering while it complains about environmental damage, right-wing groups are actually going out and cleaning things up. Scott Pressler, who has been demonized by the leftist media, has led a cleanup effort that picked up streets so trashed that they became environmental hazards.

As politicians and big-name activists like Al Sharpton gave speeches about how Trump was racist for noting that Baltimore was indeed a rat-infested, trash ridden city, Pressler was there with a large team fixing the problem.

(READ: Trump Supporters Clean Up West Baltimore As Thankful Residents Defy Media Narrative)

Now, Pressler’s volunteer group is cleaning up the streets of Los Angeles.

See the difference? While the left complains about the environment while it burns and litters, the right is doing the work of picking up the litter.

After all of this, one of the biggest differences in how the left and the right handle the environment comes at the intellectual level. According to the left, climate change is happening and we’re not allowed to question it beyond that. Just get on board with whatever solutions are being proposed and don’t you dare speak out against it in any way.

The right, however, doesn’t think the science is settled. It wants more conversation, more study, and less sensationalism. It wants to hear all the angles, not just one.

And why shouldn’t it? Stories continue to come out that defy climate alarmism narratives. We’ve been told the world is going to end in a decade for decades. We’ve been told the ice caps are melting when many are actually growing. We’re hearing about how our planet is on fire when new greenery has been growing where it hasn’t before, essentially increasing Earth’s vegetation in what’s called a “global greening.”

Even noted climate scientists laugh at the environmental doomsday predictions of agenda-driven politicians and scientists, calling their predictions borderline impossible.

As far as I can tell, the left likes to tout itself as the savior of the global environment, but I only see it hurting it while using sensationalism to push agendas. Meanwhile, I see the right grounding itself in reality and actually helping fix problems.

This Trump-Ukraine “Whistle-Blower” Story Is Ridiculous and It’s Going to Blow Up In the Media’s Face Again

You want to know why conservatives hate the liberal media and have no faith in many commentators on their own side? All you have to do is look at the reactions to this stupid story.

Yesterday, a supposed “bombshell” dropped via numerous anonymous sources that the much ballyhooed “whistle-blower” complaint against Trump involved him encouraging Ukraine’s new president to continue it’s corruption investigation into Joe Biden. To this point, we actually have no specifics saying Trump promised him anything after that request and you’d be remiss to ask why it’s wrong to ask an ally to look into corruption involving U.S. citizens.

Let me quote myself responding to the most fleshed out account of what is claimed to have happened. This was posted late last night.

As per usual, the media are losing their minds. Trump was pressuring an ally to conduct an investigation! It’s unheard of and unprecedented! Who could ever do such a thing!?

Oh, I don’t know. Maybe the Obama administration when they were working with UK intelligence, including using foreign assets, to target Trump in 2016? That seems like much more of a big deal given the only real allegation here is that Trump asked Ukraine to keep an already occurring corruption probe going in which we have the target on tape admitting what he did. I was assured that what happened in 2016 was above board because the Obama administration had legitimate suspicions. You know who else has legitimate suspicions? President Trump, because again, its on freaking video.

But ask yourself this. Why is the corruption Trump was asking to be probed not the actual story here? Let me refresh your memory of exactly what we are dealing with.

Yes, that’s Joe Biden, on tape admitting he threatened to withhold $1B in loan guarantees from Ukraine if they didn’t fire a prosecutor that was close to taking down the company his son worked for. Seems pretty corrupt doesn’t it? Yet, the media yawned. They didn’t care at all. It was barely reported and the “fact-checkers” rushed to deliver half-true ratings, shilling for Biden as not being aware his son was a member of the board of the company. It was all predictable.

But Trump asks Ukraine to keep looking into the issue and amazingly, the media care. Not only do they care, they want him impeached for “treason” over it. Yes, that was an actual thing said on MSNBC’s Morning Joe this morning.

So to recap, being on video trying to extort Ukraine to protect your son is perfectly acceptable. Asking Ukraine to not drop their investigation into someone who tried to extort them to protect their son is impeachable. Does that make sense? No, it doesn’t.

And as to this “whistle-blower,” he’s not one at all.

No, what it means is that an intelligence official has no right to force declassification of presidential communications just because he disagrees with what was said. That’s not being a whistle-blower. It’s being a partisan. The constitution gives near total unanimity to the President in conducting foreign policy. That means if he wants to ask an ally to investigate corruption or risk straining cooperation, he’s entitled to do so. You can not like it and you can vote him out in 2020 in response. But the laws don’t suddenly change just because Donald Trump is president.

The hypocrisy being displayed in the mainstream reporting of this story is mind-blowing. But the hypocrisy is part of the grift.

Perhaps the only thing more frustrating though is seeing some on the right rush to Twitter to proclaim how terrible this all because that’s what a certain wing always does. And when this blows up in the media’s and their faces (again), they’ll insist it was all just an honest mistake. Rinse and repeat.

Marianne Williamson Heard Praising Conservatives Over Leftists for Civility During Hot Mic Moment

Democratic 2020 candidate and author Marianne Williamson was invited onto Fox News for an interview and she came away with a realization that she voiced when she thought no one was listening.

According to Fox News, during a hot mic moment, Williams can be heard talking after her interview and saying that she was surprised at just how nicer the right is than the left:

In an audio recording released from an interview last week, Williamson sounded off on the hostility she has faced from the political left.

“What does it say that Fox News is nicer to me than the lefties are? What does it say that the conservatives are nicer to me?… It’s such a bizarre world,” Williamson said. “You know, I’m such a lefty. I mean, I’m a serious lefty, but they’re so… I didn’t think the left was as mean as the right, they are.”

After expressing frustration about the release of the clip, Williamson clarified that it was how she felt on “that day” and expected that she knew running for president wouldn’t be a “walk in the park.” She added how Republicans “don’t have to be attacking” her during a Democratic primary while other Democrats “are working for other candidates.”

That last part of Williamson’s complaints about the left seems to ring true for the 2020 races as various candidates seem to be treated with care while others, like Rep. Tulsi Gabbard and Andrew Yang get the short end of the stick.

For instance, in the early debates, Yang could be seen attempting to speak but his microphone was cut off by MSNBC while other candidate’s microphones were working just fine.

After Gabbard took down Sen. Kamala Harris during a debate over her corrupt history as California’s District Attorney, CNN attempted to help Harris do damage control while they attacked Gabbard about past decisions. Needless to say, it didn’t work out well for Harris or CNN, both of whom didn’t come off well.

(READ: Tulsi Gabbard Is Fighting Off The Leftist Mainstream Media As They Run Defense For Kamala Harris)

And we already know that the powers that be in the Democratic party are ready and willing to work for a specific candidate as evidenced by the way they were found to have been actively working against Bernie Sanders in favor of Hillary Clinton during the 2016 elections.

Williamson is discovering what many of us already knew or are finding out. The left is not her friend.

The Left Needs to Take a Real Good Look at What It’s Become After This Ridiculous “Hey Guys” Video

Westlake Legal Group Untitled-1-2-620x414 The Left Needs to Take a Real Good Look at What It’s Become After This Ridiculous “Hey Guys” Video Video Social Justice Sexism right wing racism progressives Politics Now This Media leftists Hey Guys Front Page Stories Feminism Featured Story donald trump democrats Brandon Morse Allow Media Exception

No doubt that by now you’ve seen the “Now This” video circulating around the internet telling you not to use the phrase “hey guys” because it’s gendered and sexist. If you haven’t, then here it is.

And let’s play a game. Post below in the comments how far you made it before you had to stop. On my initial watch, I made it 17 seconds.

All I could think as I clicked off of it was that if I was on the left, I’d be embarrassed that this is what my side’s concerns boiled down to nowadays and that we’ve become so first-world spoiled that this is a problem that people in a room agreed was worth dedicating resources to.

In fact, I think Bearing Arms editor Cam Edwards put it best in his reply to the video.

“Imagine “hey guys” being one of the Top 10,000 Biggest Problems in your life,” he tweeted.

One of the greatest pieces of advice I can give anyone is that you shouldn’t take yourself so seriously. If you do, you get blinded to how ridiculous you become, and as a fallable human, you’re pretty ridiculous by default already.

The goal of not taking yourself too seriously is to not put yourself into a position where you pressure or force anyone to be as ridiculous as you, and this is a problem too many on the social justice left have. They even call themselves “progressives,” which has become an everyday term now but is kind of a ridiculous thing to call yourself if you really think about it.

I mean, really. How high on your own supply do you have to be to think that everything you do is done to progress humanity toward Utopia? You’re an egotistical ape like the rest of us with zero ability to foresee the future. Hell, many progressives hardly see what they’re doing in the present.

The social justice left loves to proselytize about what is and isn’t good to do or say, and have come up with all sorts of nonsensical ways to live your life “properly.” Oddly enough, a lot of what is “proper” to these “progressives” defies all logic and scientific reasoning. What’s more, they truly believe that what they’re suggesting is the path to a better society.

Right now, their path to a better society is to tell you that using the word “guys” is a weaponized word that is dehumanizing.

Their words, not mine.

If I were on the left, I’d feel pretty embarrassed right now. In fact, I’d be on social media denouncing the holy hell out of this video. Why? Because it’s a clear indication of how emotionally weak my ideological camp is. It’s proof positive that our priorities are in the wrong place and that we’re making mountains out of molehills in an effort to make it seem like we’re doing good in the world.

To be clear, if I wasn’t in the know already, this “Now This” video would make me question the weight of a lot of stances the left takes. It makes me take them less seriously overall and even laugh at them.

There’s even a tinge of anger that is added to it when you consider the fact that the left considers this a problem but refuses to address real problems. They don’t want to talk about the violence in Chicago much. They don’t want to talk about the fact we have a crime problem in minority communities. They don’t want to talk about the full spectrum of racism happening in the U.S., nor do they want to talk about the violence of Antifa. They don’t want to talk about the obvious corruption problems happening within the Democratic party. They don’t want to talk about the demonstrable destructiveness of socialism as we watch it happening in other countries. They don’t want to talk about the cost of all of these entitlements they’re cheering on, nor how it’s going to be paid for, at least in depth.

No, they want to talk about how “hey guys” is going to *checks notes* hurt peoples feelings.

Whose feelings? As Sister Toldjah wrote on the video, the vast majority of women don’t even care about the phrase’s usage. Even in the video itself, the girl notes that it has become a gender-neutral phrase. I’ve even seen women use it to address groups of women on multiple occasions.

This is a bad look. It’s the kind of bad look the left has been making for itself for some time now and it’s making people consider the left to be Monty Python’s Camelot. Just a silly place everyone agrees not to go to. Instead, they choose Trump, because anything is better than this nonsense.

To sum it up, people are laughing at this video and the ideological side that created it, and you can’t blame them. If I was a Democrat, or on the left in general, I’d be mocking this video to kingdom come. Not just because it deserves to be mocked, but because it doesn’t have any business representing a serious idea within my camp.

But, alas, this is what the left has become thanks in part to its embrace of social justice. Years of banging the drum of race, sex, and sexuality has birthed forth this monster that has now taken control and is the face of the left.

You’ve got two options. You can either fight back against the nonsense, regain control of the left, and put a more realistic foot forward…or you can come to the right. We won’t ask you to eat bugs or your pets to save the environment.  Also, we have comedy. You can laugh here.

And believe me. We’re laughing.

We’re All Hitler Now

Westlake Legal Group Untitled-13 We’re All Hitler Now the washington post right wing Politics media bias Illiberlism Hitler Front Page Stories Front Page Featured Story Donna Zuckerberg democrats debate Dave Rubin Crazy Censorship Ben Shapiro

If you believe in using reason and debate to arrive at sound conclusions, congrats, you are now basically Hitler.

That’s the the logic being applied by a series of recent spate of op-eds over at The Washington Post. The line of thinking goes something like this. Hitler ate steak. You eat steak. Therefore, you are obviously Hitler. Makes sense, right?

My colleague streiff covered one of these articles a few days ago, which sought to connect those who argue with logic and facts to the slave owners of the Antebellum South.

Here’s another excerpt from the article itself to give you an idea of how specious the reasoning is. Dang it, there I go citing reason again, which obviously makes me a fascist.

These are figures who typically dislike President Trump but often say they’re being pushed rightward — sometimes away from what they claim is their natural leftward bent — by intolerance and extremism on the left. The reasonable right includes people like Shapiro and the radio commentator Dave Rubin; legal scholar Amy Wax and Jordan Peterson, the Canadian academic who warns about identity politics; the social psychologist Jonathan Haidt; the New York Times columnist Bari Weiss and the American Enterprise Institute scholar Christina Hoff Sommers, self-described feminists who decry excesses in the feminist movement; the novelist Bret Easton Ellis and the podcaster Sam Harris, who believe that important subjects have needlessly been excluded from political discussions. They present their concerns as, principally, freedom of speech and diversity of thought. Weiss has called them “renegade” ideological explorers who venture into “dangerous” territory despite the “outrage and derision” directed their way by haughty social gatekeepers.

The reasonable right’s rhetoric is exactly the same as the antebellum rhetoric I’d read so much of. The same exact words. The same exact arguments. Rhetoric, to be precise, in support of the slave-owning South.

The Washington Post wasn’t done though. Less than a day later, they pushed out another piece, this time asserting that those who seek honest debate are actually just doing what Nazi Germany did.

Excerpts via the Washington Examiner.

“A call to debate may seem intellectual, even civilized,” she continued. “In theory, well-structured and respectful debates are an ideal opportunity to reach an audience that isn’t fixed in its views. In reality, however, most ‘debate me’ types seem to view them mainly as a chance to attack their opponent’s credibility,” Zuckerberg wrote. “Their model is not Lincoln and Douglas, but rather Socrates: By needling their interlocutors with rapid-fire questions, they aim to reveal, as they see it, their opponents’ ignorance and stupidity, and their own superior intelligence and logic.”

Oh crap, Socrates is cancelled.

Keep in mind that the Socratic method forms a major cornerstone of Western civilization’s ability to think critically. Dang, I did again. Citing Western civilization also makes you a Nazi according to these people. Anyway, check out this passage.

“Platonic texts show Socrates pulling any number of Athenians into debates, and although some are eager to argue with him, others can hardly wait to escape him by the end of the dialogue. Plato’s ‘Euthyphro’ concludes with Euthyphro insisting that he has to leave, while Socrates calls after him, complaining that they haven’t yet figured out the nature of piety. Many of the dialogues end when the interlocutor has been bludgeoned into submission and seems to find it easier to agree with Socrates than continue further — every ‘debate me’ man’s dream.”

Wait, are you telling me that when facts, reason, and logic are on your side, you tend to win arguments? Shocking stuff. This author finds that reprehensible though and decides that those who use such methods are really just Nazis or something.

Zuckerberg later distilled her opinion, writing, “My actual, nuanced argument is that the long enmeshment of the classics and white supremacy, both in Nazi Germany and in the pre-Civil War American South, continues to inform how we understand the ancient Mediterranean, and that progressive classical scholars should discuss that legacy and confront it.”

I don’t find much nuance in that argument. I find it to be overly broad and connective of two things that aren’t actually connected at all.

As I stated at the beginning of the article, it’s the “Hitler did this, you do this, so you are Hitler” argument. Just because bad people sometimes do the same things good people do, it doesn’t make said things inherently negative or evil. Hitler also road in cars and peed in a toilet. Yet, those things aren’t connected to white supremacy. Neither are the classics and the open debate model we’ve learned from them, which themselves have nothing to do with pushing racial superiority.

In fact, such means of reasoning have led mankind to a much more humane, healthy place than previous centuries. It’s through reason (and religious principles) that we were able to move toward equality and away from discrimination in the first place. The ancient world, which was rife with brutality and slavery lacked the very things this author now decries. Socrates was not an evil bully. He was someone who valued critical thinking and mental stimulation, things that have undoubtedly made the world a better place. As we’ve learned through various failings throughout history, relying on emotion to set policy and dictate social norms has created disastrous results. It’s how you ended up with people arguing that other human beings weren’t actually human beings. Logic and reason is what destroys such arguments. It doesn’t propagate them.

But you can see the wider goal of this author’s ideology. It’s essentially to buttress her illiberal notions, painting the very things that allow us to debate logically as evil, thereby asserting that any disagreement at all with her worldview is itself evil.

This is ridiculous stuff, but it’s also dangerous stuff that’s gaining a following. It leads to a place where facts no longer matter and there’s no foundational consensus undergirding our society. When that’s gone, we are simply at the whim of whoever can convince enough people their way is the “right” way. Appeals to logic and reason are simply ignored.

I would think mainstream press outlets like the Post would choose not to push nonsense like this given it contradicts with their stated respect of fact. I guess not.

In the end, one would hope people like this author will simply alienate enough people so as to have no power to implement what they seek. Sometimes I wonder if we are really winning this battle though.

We Need to Iron Out the Relationship Between Conservatives and the Transgender Community

Westlake Legal Group Capture-8-620x367 We Need to Iron Out the Relationship Between Conservatives and the Transgender Community transgender Steve Deace right wing republicans Politics LGBT homosexuality Front Page Stories Featured Story Culture & Faith Culture Conservatives Conservatism Allow Media Exception

The transgender community and many on the right often have a relationship that I can describe as vehemently oppositional if I’m putting it lightly. The two have never mixed well for various reasons. If you were to look back over my own writing history, you would see that I’m generally on the front lines when it comes to battling transgender activism.

Except for yesterday.

Yesterday, I was covering the case of trans activist Jessica Yaniv through several articles. To refresh or catch you up, Yaniv is a man identifying as a woman who uses his status as a protected class in Canada to file lawsuits against innocent women for not touching his junk during waxings.

(Read: “The West Is On The Cusp Of Seeing State-Sanctioned Sexual Assaults Thanks To Transgender Activism“)

Looking into Yaniv’s past also shows predatory and pedophilic behavior. Some of the things this guy has allegedly said in text messages are disturbing. This has caught the eye of many a commentator, including trans activist Blaire White, who falls to the right politically despite being transgender.

White, a biological man who has had chemical and surgical procedures to look and sound just like a woman, released a video discussing Yaniv and just how messed up of a person he is. White made many a good point, and I decided to cover the video, highlighting the things White pointed out. I found it an interesting take given the fact that White is trans and has insight most of us don’t.

(Read: “Video: Conservative Trans Woman Blaire White Makes Very Interesting Points About “Trans” Activist Jessica Yaniv“)

And then all hell broke loose.

Many conservatives didn’t like the fact that I was referring to White as a woman and that I was caving to some sort of politically correct feel-goodery. They also didn’t like that I was referring to her as a conservative. In fact, my article got the attention of Right Scoop and The Blaze’s Steve Deace, who proceeded to send out multiple tweets about the way I described White.

I’ve got some things to say about this.

Deace’s tweets come off as unnecessary gatekeeping, and I disagree with him vehemently. I’ll toss out the fact that conservatives “lose to the Left every time on every front” because looking around, I’m not seeing that at all. We lose a few battles here and there, but the right has never been more strong than it is now. Even with our disadvantages in tech and the arts, conservatism has never been more understood or accepted, at least in my lifetime. I’m not sure where he got that.

My problem is that Deace decided that White doesn’t qualify as a conservative because White is transgendered, and apparently, inviting someone like White into the fold will collapse conservatism. I find this a bit odd seeing as how LGBT members have been a part of the Conservative movement for some time now, and we’ve yet to devolve into gross displays of homo-eroticism at our events or make homosexuality a central issue. We haven’t seen any attempts at a conservative drag queen story hour either. In fact, many of the LGBT members within the movement are highly respected individuals who contribute quite a bit to the cause.

Deace and other conservatives not accepting White as a conservative because of the transgender factor doesn’t make White any less of a conservative.

From what I understand, conservatism is about the keeping of ideas behind the founding of America. That all men were created equal, and we all respect the right to and pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness. It was my understanding that conservatives held the position that any person could come here and live freely however they want to so long as they don’t force their fellow countrymen to obey their whims and wishes.

From what I’ve seen so far, White keeps to these ideals but can’t join our club because of the trans factor? Why? The whole reason the trans community and conservatives are constantly at odds is due to the fact that they continuously try to force their beliefs on us.

White has made it clear in videos that biological sex is a reality and criticized those who react overtly to being “misgendered.” White, unlike many trans activists I’ve spoken about in the past, doesn’t attempt to force anything on anyone and can shrug off disagreement with a live and let live attitude.

To me, that seems far more conservative than what I’ve seen from the gatekeepers trying to keep White out. I’m not seeing any loss of soul for recognizing and respecting that.

Then there’s the main issue, and this part’s a personal opinion of mine.

I have no problem acknowledging that a transgender person is biologically the sex they were born as while showing that person personal respect by calling them the gender they want if I feel they deserve it. White, in my opinion, is someone that I haven’t had a reason to dislike, and in fact, have generated respect for. Because of this, I have no problem referring to White as female despite the fact that “she” is biologically a he. We might not agree on everything, but oh well.

You’ll notice in my article about White’s video that I refer to White as a “she” but to Yaniv as a “he.” This is because Yaniv hasn’t earned my respect and I have no compunction to label him as the gender he says he is. My default position is that you’re the sex you were born as, but I’m not bothered by calling you something different if that’s what you prefer and your character makes me want to treat you that way.

My approach to transgenderism is realistic but fair as I describe in this video.

As a Christian libertarian-minded individual I disagree with the LGBT community about what it considers good, but I’m not his or her boss. People are going to make decisions about their life and all I can do is offer my advice and care. What they do with it is their decision.

I have no problem chatting about my stances and how my Christian beliefs play a part in various lifestyles, but at the end of the day, I gain nothing by turning my nose up at people. I was, after all, called to love, not to dictate.

The LGBT community runs afoul of me when they try to force Christian churches to marry them or Christian businesses to cater to their LGBT specific needs. Thing is, while the right was founded on Judeo-Christian principles, it is not a Christians only club. It’s also not a straights only club. It’s the “big tent.” Everyone is welcome so long as you don’t deviate from the principles of liberty we hold dear.

It’s not my job to tell others what they can and can’t believe, only what they can and can’t do and only when what they’re doing twists my arm or takes money out of my wallet without asking.

White and other trans individuals who believe and follow conservative principles are conservatives. You can disagree with that fact, but just like biological sex, denying doesn’t make it any less of a reality.

Bill de Blasio: Let’s face it, anti-semitism is a right-wing movement

Westlake Legal Group bd Bill de Blasio: Let’s face it, anti-semitism is a right-wing movement The Blog right wing New York left-wing Ilhan Omar Bill de Blasio anti-semitism

Imagine not only believing this but feeling confident enough in your opinion to say it out loud.

At a press conference organized to alert the residents of your very liberal city to a shocking rise in anti-semitic hate crimes, no less.

I’m tempted to predict that he’ll end up introducing Ilhan Omar to a standing ovation at next year’s Democratic convention but there’s no way they’ll give this clown a speaking role as plum as that.

“I think the ideological movement that is anti-Semitic is the right-wing movement,” de Blasio said at a Brooklyn press conference Tuesday about the increase of hate crimes in New York City. Hate crimes against all minority groups are up 64% compared to this time last year. Anti-Semitic incidents have spiked by 90%.

De Blasio said he did not agree with a claim by a reporter that there is also rising anti-Semitism “on the left in the BDS movement and around the world.” The Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement is a largely left-wing campaign to ban Israeli products.

“I want to be very, very clear, the violent threat, the threat that is ideological is very much from the right,” de Blasio said, adding that the perpetrators trace their history back to Nazism and fascism.

City Council members from both parties wondered afterward whom de Blasio believes is committing these hate crimes locally. Does he think white supremacists are streaming into Brooklyn to punch a Lubavitcher, or that there’s some secret Nazi enclave of Manhattan?

Fully 60 percent of hate crimes in NYC this past year were committed against Jews, easily the largest share of any targeted minority. I assure you that not all of the perpetrators were right-wing. New York being New York, it’s possible if not likely that few were. What is Blas thinking?

Mainly he’s thinking about his no-shot presidential candidacy. A mayor who’s interested in being a mayor would have little reason to apportion ideological blame for a rising tide of hate crimes. His interest would be in uniting the community to solve the problem. Instead de Blasio’s hinting to NYC’s great liberal majority that this isn’t really “their” problem, hoping that that message will be carried to the great mass of progressive 2020 primary voters whom he’s trying to woo. The left imagines a straight line from growing anti-semitism to Trump’s admirers in Charlottesville to Trump himself. De Blasio’s trying to ingratiate himself to them by validating that belief, and of course by preemptively spinning about why NYC has become more threatening to Jews on his watch. Simply deflect all questions about anti-semitism to the right, never mind the gory history of that prejudice among ideologues of both sides.

This isn’t all about electoral calculations, though, I’d bet. Reading his quotes reminded me of that surreal Paul Krugman tweet from March, while one of the many Ilhan Omar controversies was raging, in which a left-wing Nobel Prize winner with a column at the world’s most prestigious newspaper claimed with a straight face that there’s anti-semitism on both sides but only one side is worth worrying about. Blas may very well share that sanguine view of the left’s essential virtue, not just as a pander to progressive voters. And so, to cope with the cognitive dissonance involved in Jews getting beaten up in deep blue New York, naturally he comforts himself with the belief that this is a right-wing problem. Somehow.

The Media Has Decided That Louis Farrakhan Is A Far-Right Extremist Now

Westlake Legal Group louis-farrakhan-saviors-day-speech-2019-620x344 The Media Has Decided That Louis Farrakhan Is A Far-Right Extremist Now right wing media bias Media Louis Farrakhan Front Page Stories democrats Allow Media Exception

Update: The Washington Post has issued a correction, saying they misidentified Farrakhan as a far-right leader.

Correction: Louis Farrakhan is an extremist leader who has espoused anti-Semitic views. An earlier version of this story and headline incorrectly included him in a list of far-right leaders.

Original story below:

Louis Farrakhan has been banned from by Facebook’s network of social media, along with Alex Jones, InfoWars, and Milo Yiannopolis.

The ban has presented the media with the new and exciting opportunity to re-write history and present Farrakhan as being a problematic member of the right.

Facebook said on Thursday it has permanently banned several far-right and anti-Semitic figures and organizations including Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, Infowars host Alex Jones, Milo Yiannopoulos and Laura Loomer for being “dangerous,” a sign that the social network is more aggressively enforcing its hate speech policies under pressure from civil rights groups.

Facebook had removed the accounts, fan pages, and groups affiliated with these individuals after it reevaluated the content that they had posted previously, or had reexamined their activities outside of Facebook, the company said. The removal also pertains to at least one of the organizations run by these people, Jones’ Infowars.

I am wondering what definition of “right wing” the Washington Post is using here, because the “right wing” has spent a lot of time pointing out just how many Democrats love to pose with and praise Farrakhan.

Do Linda Sarsour and Ilhan Omar know they’ve been rubbing shoulders with a notorious, right-wing extremist? Do the countless other Democrats who have been shrugging off or defending themselves against attacks about their association with him know he was a right-wing provocateur all along?

Words still mean things. Except, apparently, to the people who make money writing words.

The Right Needs to Stop Using the Outraged Mob Model of the Left, or We’ll End Up Just Like Them

The left is notorious for taking someone’s words, and using them in order to destroy their lives both professionally and socially. They’ll use it to get them in trouble legally if they can as well.

This has always disgusted me, as I watched the left’s definitions of hate speech, racist words, and whatever they could attach the word “phobic” to grew and expanded beyond what would be considered reasonable.

Soon, even the left began to attack the left because one group or individual wasn’t being politically correct in their speech enough. In some cases it wasn’t the words they were using so much as the amount of deference — if not reverence — one group was showing to another group. Thanks to the social justice hierarchy, some groups or individuals on the left find themselves slave to the wills of whoever sits on the pedestal above them. Their lives and careers are potentially ruined, or at the very least damaged, because they dared to impugn the honor of those who are greater victims than them by not showing them the proper amount of respect.

If you need any examples, simply look at the dressing down of Joy Ann Reid, the feminist destruction of “feminist” Joss Whedon, or anyone on staff at the Netflix show The Crown when feminists found out Claire Foy was getting paid less than Matt “He’s Doctor-Freaking-Who” Smith.

One of the best parts about being on the right was that I didn’t really have to worry about that kind of nonsense affecting our ideology. We were free to speak our minds and utter truths, no matter how inconvenient, without being socially and professionally punished for it…at least on the surface.

But I feel like that’s changing. The right has definitely adopted this tactic of punishing people for their words. Some examples being Steven Colbert after his anti-Trump rant, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn who was put on the chopping block for some old disgusting tweets about pedophilia, and now newly hired New York Times editor, the rabidly racist Sarah Jeong.

Before I continue, I think it’s perfectly legitimate to go to a business and ask if this is the kind of rhetoric that should represent their brand. Threatening to never do business with their brand again unless something is done is absolutely fine, if not encouraged. The business can decide to fire or punish the employee according to how they see fit, if they see fit at all.

But I see too many on the right not only calling for their job to be taken, but for that person to be made a pariah wherever he or she goes, and all for the crime of wrong-think.

When I bring up the fact that we shouldn’t be destroying lives over the words someone used, no matter how disgusting, I often receive the same response: “The left does it to us, and we’re showing them what it feels like.”

I’ll be the first to stand up and say that giving someone a taste of their own medicine feels really good. In fact, I get a tremendous amount of pleasure in watching the left eat its own as people and groups suffer by the very rules they help put in place. Watching Joy Ann Reid squirm under the attacks of the social justice left was like the first sip of an ice-cold beer after a long day. I could play Nancy Pelosi being chased away by DREAMer protesters she claimed to stand for on repeat and never get tired of it.

But I get real nervous when the right starts to demand figurative heads for saying the wrong thing, even if they are doing it to show someone else what it’s like.

I get nervous because it sets a precedent. We find out that we can have someone de-platformed and silenced if we raise enough of an outrage.

Outrage, not reason, becomes the method by which we deal with our opposites. We become lazy thinkers led by feelings rather than logic. We begin making a show of outrage whenever someone steps out of the bounds we draw, and rest assured, we’ll categorize more and more words or phrases out “too far” the more we rely on our anger.

And the more outrage we can gin up the better. Populism and mob-think become the sharpest arrows in our quiver.

Mobs don’t think. They react. They assume that someone whom belongs to the same ideological tribe as they do has done all the thinking for them, and thus they go along with whatever they’re told. This isn’t to say that mobs haven’t been created on the right before, but there is certainly a larger tendency for it to happen on the left.

But we bash the left all the time for their ignorance and inability to deal with opposing thought. Both of these are a symptom of using the power of outrage and group-think to get your way. It’s easy, it’s quick, and it’s satisfying. That much is true, but it doesn’t make it good.

Before we know it, we’ll be reacting to people and things because it feels right to do it, not because it necessarily is right to do it. We’ll put feelings before facts, trusting that our position is correct because people we like feel that way too.

Then, as human nature is wont to do, we’ll look for ways to become higher than our peers within our ever outraged mob. We’ll start looking for ways to declare that this group or that will have more rights to be outraged than anyone. They will demand deference, and we would be forced to give it to them or else we’re just as bad as the enemy we’re all outraged against.

Soon, in our attempts to use the tools of the left against the left, we became the left.

That’s not where I want to end up, and hopefully you agree with that.

It’s okay to be outraged, angry, hurt, and indignant over something someone did. It absolutely is disgusting what Gunn, Jeong, and Colbert respectfully said, and that the right raised hell over it isn’t at all a bad thing.

That said, let’s be careful before we make someone losing everything because of something they said a norm. It’s not something we want in a society that is supposedly free thinking. I realize it’s fun to teach people that if they live by the sword they will die by it, but the guy who used the sword second is still using a sword too. His time will come.
