School Official Gets Slap on the Wrist After Planning Horrible Active Shooter Drill

After arranging for a truly terrifying active shooter drill, a school superintendent in California will be formally reprimanded. Without notifying teachers, Juan Sandoval had a custodian at Raisin City Elementary school wear a mask, hold a fake gun, and run around the school pretending to be an active shooter. Teachers and students were understandably terrified leading teachers to call for his removal.

In July, the school board unanimously voted to undertake disciplinary action, which could be anything up to termination. The board has now decided by a vote of 4-1 that the disciplinary action will be nothing more than a formal reprimand, the Fresno Bee reports.

Teacher Kim Cooper, president of Raisin City Teachers Association said:

I am glad that Mr. Sandoval will use better judgment in the future and I am glad that my students will feel safe in their school environment. We will put this incident behind us and focus on the well-being of our students.

Would you feel safe with your kids in this school?

Mexico Says It Will Sue the United States Over El Paso Shooting

The Mexican government is promising to take legal action against the United States for “failing to protect” its citizens after some Mexican nationals were among the victims of Saturday’s mass shooting in El Paso, TX.

Ebrard called Saturday’s shooting an “act of barbarism.”

“The president has instructed me to ensure that Mexico’s indignation translates into … efficient, prompt, expeditious and forceful legal actions for Mexico to take a role and demand that conditions are established that protect … Mexicans in the United States,” Ebrard said in a video posted on Twitter.

This seems like a fairly foolish precedent to set.

Countless American citizens have been kidnapped and killed inside of Mexico over the past decades. There’s also the violence perpetrated inside of the United States by Mexican nationals, usually in connection with Mexican drug cartels and/or gangs. You could even broaden this out to include drug overdoses, of which most of the drugs crossing our border illegally come from or through Mexico.

One Angel Mom responded to the foreign minister’s statement.

I’m not sure what the purpose of Mexico’s posturing here is given the actual realities. They have no ability to force changes in U.S. law to protect their citizens nor do they have any legal ground to claim their citizens are in some kind of unique danger within the United States. Statistically, they are far safer on our side of the border. Perhaps the Mexican government thinks this will help them in some future, unrelated negotiation if used as leverage?

Regardless of their motive, there’s something gross about the double standard given the violent conditions in their own country. The fact that are media are reporting this uncritically is also disappointing, yet typical.

This is probably something CNN won’t be sharing with it’s audience, but there’s some pretty striking news on the shooter who perpetrated the Dayton, OH shooting, which followed an equally tragic shooting in El Paso, TX.

Heavy.com got access to the shooter’s social media. Contrary to the media narrative currently boiling over, this shooter was not a Trump fan. In fact, he hated Trump, hated Republicans, was an avowed leftist, used antifa style language in his posts, and loved Elizabeth Warren.

Here’s some of what was found.

Bett’s Twitter profile read, “he/him / anime fan / metalhead / leftist / i’m going to hell and i’m not coming back.” One tweet on his page read, “Off to Midnight Mass. At least the songs are good. #athiestsonchristmas.” The page handle? I am the spookster. On one selfie, he included the hashtags, “#selfie4satan #HailSatan @SatanTweeting.” On the date of Republican Sen. John McCain’s death, he wrote, “F*ck John McCain.”

On Nov. 2, 2018, he wrote: “Vote blue for gods sake.”

Ironically, he was even a rabid supporter of gun control, using it to levy attacks against Republicans.

“This is America: Guns on every corner, guns in every house, no freedom but that to kill,” he wrote in December 2018. And, “’Tis! The pistol is a Beretta 93R, called the REK7 in BO4. Do love me some guns!” He also wrote, “Hammer, brick, gun.” On Feb. 14, 2018, he tweeted this at Sen. Rob Portman: “@robportman hey rob. How much did they pay you to look the other way? 17 kids are dead. If not now, when?” That was the date of the mass shooting at a school in Parkland, Florida…

How much did they pay you to look the other way? 17 kids are dead. If not now, when?” That was the date of the mass shooting at a school in Parkland, Florida.

He also used language often used by Antifa, exclaiming that he wants to “kill every fascist.”

“#2016ElectionIn3Words This is bad,” he wrote on Nov. 8, 2016. “You can’t kill 50+ people and injure 600(!) In 10 minutes with cigarettes my dude,” he wrote in 2017. In response to a Buzzfeed story that read, “Virginia has declared a state of emergency in anticipation of the “Unite the Right” rally anniversary in Charlottesville this weekend,” he wrote: “Kill every fascist.”

Betts was also a politically active socialist who supported Elizabeth Warren.

On the Twitter page, Connor Betts indicated he’d vote for Elizabeth Warren for president but not Kamala Harris, responding to a person’s tweet suggesting they be co-presidents. “Nahh, but only cuz Harris is a cop – Warren I’d happily vote for,” he wrote.

He responded to a person’s tweet that read “if you nominate anyone other than sanders, you’re going to lose” by writing, “I think Warren has a decent shot, as well.” Some of his tweets referred to guns.

He was also a fan of “The Squad,” Including Rep. Ocasio Cortez and Rep. Omar.

He shared an article that criticized Democratic leaders like Nancy Pelosi for not supporting Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, and Ayanna Pressley. “Read it,” he wrote. He shared posts about “concentration camps” at the border and wrote, “Cut the fences down. Slice ICE tires. Throw bolt cutters over the fences.”

He retweeted a post from another person about stealing from “right wingers” at a Trump rally.

This all leaves very little question about who Betts really was. He was absolutely a far leftist. He was not a white supremacist and hated religious people. He repeated antifa, as well as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez talking points on his social media. He was a global warming enthusiast and an avowed socialist. Every piece of evidence we have that points to his radicalization points to the rhetoric of the left, not the right.

To be clear, my personal opinion is that the shooter is responsible here, not anyone else. It’s a dangerous game to try to play “pin the blame on the politician” when someone crazy does something evil. But this is the game the Democrats and media are demanding we play. We’ve been bombarded with op-eds and posts the past 24 hours blaming Trump and Republicans for these shootings. That’s a road that goes both ways and it’s fairly clear the Dayton shooter was radicalized by the politics of Democrats and Antifa.

Now that we’ve learned all this, you can expect the media to stop talking about this particular shooting and focus solely on the El Paso shooting. Why? Because this isn’t about actual care for victims. It’s about disgusting politics.

Multiple Reports Say El Paso Shooter Wrote Hate-Filled Manifesto

The primary suspect behind the mass shooting at an El Paso, Texas, Walmart may have written a manifesto, multiple news outlets are reporting.

Reporters are basing this on statements from elected officials speaking to the press about what they know so far. Authorities, however, have not confirmed the alleged manifesto belongs to 21-year-old Patrick Crusius of Dallas.

At a late afternoon news conference, officials said the suspect, identified as a 21-year-old white man from the Dallas suburb of Allen, Texas, had posted a hate-filled manifesto before undertaking the shootings, in which at least 26 others were wounded.

A law enforcement official told the Associated Press that the suspect taken into custody was a Dallas-area man named Patrick Crusius.

The official was not authorized to discuss an ongoing investigation publicly and spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity.

So far, there is no public confirmation that the manifesto referenced was indeed written by the Crusius. However, the reports on the document say that it was a far-right manifesto raging against immigration, among other issues. It was posted on an alt-right message board that is well-known for its trolling as it is its extreme views.

Despite there being no official confirmation that Crusius authored any such document, several politicians are speaking out about it.

At the news conference, U.S. Rep. Veronica Escobar, a Democrat who represents the El Paso area, said more needs to be done to address hate.

“The manifesto narrative is fueled by hate, and it’s fueled by racism, bigotry and division,” Escobar said.

The FBI is investigating the claim, though there has so far been no word on when a determination will be made.

Superintendent to be Disciplined After Active Shooter Drill Goes Too Far

After a school superintendent held a terrifying active shooter drill at Raisin City Elementary School in California, teachers asked for his removal at a school board meeting Tuesday. Superintendent Juan Sandoval held the drill without informing students, parents, or teachers, leading those on campus to believe that a janitor, wearing a mask and holding a fake weapon, was an actual shooter.

In a unanimous vote, the school board, who were also not informed of the drill, determined that Sandoval would be disciplined. They said “By a vote of 5-0 the board will approve appropriate disciplinary action and the board will schedule another meeting and give mister Sandavol an opportunity to respond,” they said.

During the open comment period, local news Your Central Valley reported that people spoke both for and against Sandoval being disciplined. “I was afraid, and I think he should have had the decency to let us know that this drill was coming. We had no clue, and it was very scary,” said one teacher.

Another man said that Sandoval simply made a mistake. “He made a mistake, but it was in the heart of what is good for everybody. It was in the heart of what was good for these children.”

In a future meeting, the disciplinary action will be discussed. Your Central Valley reports that Sandoval could face punishment from suspension to termination.

Transgender Student Who Shot Up Denver STEM School Did it for Revenge Over Teasing

Westlake Legal Group Untitled-1-10-620x359 Transgender Student Who Shot Up Denver STEM School Did it for Revenge Over Teasing transgender stem shooter LGBT Front Page Stories Featured Story Denver democrat Colorado Bullies Academia

You might not remember the transgender school shooter who wounded nine students and killed one at his Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) charter school in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, back in May. I wouldn’t blame you for not recalling it, because the media more or less dropped the story once they found out that the shooter was of a protected group and a hardcore Democrat.

According to The Hill, the story has now resurfaced thanks to the unsealing of court documents, and the reason the transgender student wanted to carry out the killings was due to the teasing received over being transgender:

The police records, which were unsealed Thursday, show McKinney telling officers in an interview that he intended to “shoot and kill” kids who made fun of him, “hated him” and called him “disgusting” and other names for being transgender.

McKinney, who was born female, said he identifies as male and was beginning to transition.

He wanted “the kids at the school to experience bad things” and “suffer from trauma like he had to in his life,” court documents show.

McKinney reportedly reached out to Erickson on Snapchat the night before the shooting about carrying out the plan, but McKinney told investigators that he’d been planning the shooting for weeks.

McKinney reportedly told Erickson that he was “super suicidal” and that he wanted to get revenge on “a lot of people,” adding that he was thinking about killing his mom and siblings, court documents show.

I wouldn’t be too surprised if one of two things happened at this point.

The first is that the media tucks this away again, and it fades from the consciousness of the general public, never to be mentioned again.

The second is that this is used as an example by LGBT activists of just how far society pushes those within the LGBT community with its supposed derision and hatred in a country that throws it parades. Every headline and cable news personality would be touting the student’s being teased as the tragedy that leads to the atrocity. Essentially, it would paint the shooters as victims.

If I had to be given a choice between the two, I’d pick the former. The second would be a dangerous opening of doors for angry members of the LGBT community to begin formulating ideas that would result in the injuries and deaths of many. We don’t need to speculate about this, because it happens with many who are glorified in the media as pariahs after committing mass murder.

Remember, being a victim in the social justice community is currency and attention, and there’s not much bigger of a statement you can make about your own victimhood then being teased so much that you’re driven to murder.

In a perfect world, this event would be studied as another case of how a mental disorder can drive people to do heinous things. Lot’s of people are teased in school. Hormones and ignorance run rampant in schools, as do bullies. You’re going to get picked on and teased at some point, yet the vast majority of us — including those in the LGBT community — go on without killing or harming anyone.

The better focus of this story isn’t the kid’s political leanings or gender identity, it’s that he suffered from a mental illness and that is what we need to zero in on.

Former GOP congressman: Kyle Kashuv’s racist online posts remind me of something … a school shooter would write

Westlake Legal Group j Former GOP congressman: Kyle Kashuv’s racist online posts remind me of something … a school shooter would write The Blog stoneman douglas shooter school Parkland MSNBC Kyle Kashuv kill David Jolly

He’s an MSNBC contributor now, so. Yeah.

Via the Free Beacon, comparing the victim of a horrendous trauma to the person who perpetrated it is next-level even for cable news. When the victim happens to be all of 18 years old, it’s almost career-defining. The thing about this is that David Jolly isn’t making a rhetorical point about how obnoxious Kashuv’s postings were by comparing them to a shooter’s manifesto. He seems to be questioning earnestly whether Kashuv is a danger to society, wondering at one point if he should be allowed to purchase weapons under U.S. Ironically, the reason actual shooters who post racist screeds usually aren’t detected before they strike is that there is, regrettably, a lot of this garbage online. Police can’t find the homicidal needle in the haystack of trolls, cranks, racist ideologues, and other Internet detritus who, however obnoxious they might be, aren’t killers. If Jolly wants Kashuv to suffer social consequences for his racism, starting with rescission of his acceptance by Harvard, that’s fair. Stigmatizing him as the sort of person who might have murdered his now dead friends before someone else beat him to it is … less than fair.

“Self-righteousness untempered by humility makes a country cruel,” wrote David French yesterday about Harvard’s decision:

[C]an’t an educational institution understand that children are different from adults and that a truly enormous amount of growth can occur in a short amount of time — especially when that growth is spurred in part by enduring horrific trauma? Harvard has had the ability to watch Kyle more than virtually any other student in its freshman class. It’s seen him operate in the white-hot glare of public debate over one of the most contentious issues in American life. To the extent that any freshman is a known quantity, Kyle is known — and he’s known to presently conduct himself with unusual patience and dignity…

Let’s not pretend that Kyle is anything other than a victim of the culture wars. Had he not stepped forward after Parkland as a conservative spokesperson, he would be in no one’s crosshairs. He would have been allowed to make a mistake. At its heart, the attack on Kyle isn’t about making Harvard safe from racists. It’s not about protecting anyone. It’s about politics.

Numerous people noted yesterday that Kashuv isn’t the first student to have his acceptance revoked because of offensive Internet postings. I noted it myself in my own post about this; 10 students got the boot in 2017 when their own outre Facebook messages came to light. Kashuv wasn’t singled out for rescission because of his politics. But certainly French is right that he was singled out for scrutiny of his Internet postings by critics because of his politics. Try to imagine someone spelunking in the online archives of a random Parkland student who hadn’t taken an activist role after the shooting, hoping to find something to discredit him.

But whatever. Political hit or not, Kashuv wrote what he wrote, by his own admission. The reason to forgive him isn’t because he’s a conservative martyr whose scalp was taken by liberals, it’s because he appears to be sincerely remorseful. Jolly might have considered that if he wasn’t so eager to brand Kashuv the other would-be killer who attended Stoneman Douglas High. Watching him here, he seems to be straining to tailor his take on this to his “niche” in political media: He’s not just an MSNBC contributor, after all, he’s a relentless critic of the Trump-era GOP, having formally left the party last October. That is, I don’t think Jolly came to this incident with Kashuv “cold” and formulated his opinion from there. I think he came to it knowing that Kashuv had been embraced by the populist right for his gun-rights advocacy after the Parkland massacre and that, therefore, Kashuv was a low person to be given no quarter — or certainly not the amount that most contrite 18-year-olds might expect from an adult. That’s how we get from “Harvard was right to boot Kashuv” to “Kashuv might shoot up a school somewhere.”

Here’s Jolly followed by a new apology video Kashuv cut for the Daily Caller.
