Remember when Senator Elizabeth Warren was claiming that she was fired from her job as a special needs teacher because she was pregnant?

She told the story during the Democratic debate — even putting it in a tweet — about a principle that didn’t invite her back to teach because she was “visibly pregnant.” Nevertheless, she persisted, Warren told us.

It was all bunk, of course. Warren herself said she didn’t have the necessary certificates and upon trying to get them, decided that this kind of career wasn’t for her. Still, she likes to pretend that if it wasn’t for misogyny, she’d still be a special needs teacher today.

But for a would-be special needs teacher, Warren doesn’t seem to know how to deal with special needs people according to some footage that was just released.

In a video, Warren can be seen on stage addressing what seems to be students. A student is selected to come up and ask a question, and it turns out to be a young black man who clearly has a mental disability. His question is filled with disjointed words and phrasing, and despite being asked to repeat it twice, it makes absolutely no sense.

Regardless, you can hear his fellow students cheering him on in a show of support.

At this juncture, Warren could have brought the man in and helped him get his question out properly. She could have taken the time to understand him better and make him feel important. Instead, Warren dismisses the man.

“Okay,” said Warren, clearly uncomfortable as the man walks away.

“Alright,” she said as she waved goodbye.

As many have noted after watching this clip, this isn’t the behavior of someone who has any kind of special needs training at all. In fact, Warren looked absolutely clueless as to handle the situation.

We likely got a little bit more insight into the dishonesty of Elizabeth Warren.

High School Students Give Autistic Classmate Graduation Ceremony ‘Miracle’

A high school graduation can be a loud, celebratory atmosphere with students and families cheering as names are called and graduates are handed their diploma’s. For a student with autism that has sensory issues, this could be a nightmare. At a high school in New York, they created a graduation atmosphere in which he would be comfortable to receive his diploma.

Here’s what Principal Lou Riolo said with a video of the event posted on YouTube:

An amazing thing took place at Carmel High School’s graduation. One of our students Jack Higgins was presented with his diploma. Jack graduated after 8 years. He is a wonderful member of our student community. Jack has autism and with that comes sensory issues. At graduation the student body and several thousand individuals were asked to not clap or cheer so Jack could participate. What followed was nothing short of a miracle. We shot for the moon but instead reached the stars.
Congratulations to the Carmel High School class of 2019. For graduating, sure, but mostly for being good humans. That’s far more important.

This Outrageous (And True!) Story Got TheBlaze Censored By Facebook

Westlake Legal Group AP_18094667693740-620x290 This Outrageous (And True!) Story Got TheBlaze Censored By Facebook TheBlaze special needs Social Media Public Education Front Page Stories facebook Education Allow Media Exception #CLICKBAIT

I’m sharing this story with you all for a couple of reasons.

First, the behavior of the teachers in this story offends me as both a parent and an educator beyond words. It is reprehensible in every sense of the word, and the mother of the special needs girl deserved some sort of justice.

A mother was concerned that her special needs child did not want to go to school any longer, so she put a recording device in her hair. The result was eight horrifying hours of audio, where INSTRUCTORS at the school were mocking, insulting, and straight-up bullying her child.

You can read the full story here, and I suggest you do because this isn’t limited to just one school. This is way more of an epidemic in the public school system than anyone wants to admit, because many teachers come in ill-prepared to work with special needs students while others straight-up refuse to.

The second reason I’m sharing this story is because Facebook suspended TheBlaze from posting videos and slashed their reach because, according to the social media overlords, the story is “clickbait”. Their suspension for this “clickbait” is four days – four days of cutting a website’s income because Facebook cannot consistently be the gatekeeper they claim to be.

Nothing in the story is untrue, made up, or over-exaggerated in an effort to garner your clicks. The outrage inspired by the headline is matched by the outrage you feel reading the story. But Facebook, in its continuing efforts to royally screw up even the basic sharing of news, has determined that this story just doesn’t meet its standards of journalistic integrity.

Whatever the hell those may be.

So, I’m sharing this here. I would like for you to share it and encourage your friends to share it. The behavior of these teachers is horrifying and the behavior of Facebook is outrageous. Neither should be tolerated.
