How deranged Nikolas Cruz’ wound up in Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School

Westlake Legal Group FloridaShooter How deranged Nikolas Cruz’ wound up in Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Tucker Carlson The Blog Parkland Shooting nikolas cruz

Andrew Pollack is the father of Meadow Pollack, one of the kids who was murdered during the Parkland shooting by Nikolas Cruz. This week, Pollack has a new book out titled ““Why Meadow Died: The People and Policies that Created the Parkland Shooter and Endanger America’s Students.” An excerpt from the book was published Sunday by the New York Post and it reveals some details about Cruz’s behavior that makes you wonder why he was ever allowed into an ordinary high school. Throughout his Middle School years, Cruz was marked as someone obviously disturbed who routinely disrupted classes and who openly talked about his interest in blood and violence:

Cruz’s torture and killing of animals became a source of pride for him as he interacted with other students. One student, Devin, recalled that, although he tried to avoid Cruz, Cruz would approach him almost every day and ask, “Would you like to see videos of me skinning animals?” Devin always declined, but Cruz kept asking.

Cruz’s records suggest that his reign of terror at Westglades Middle School began halfway through his seventh-grade year, in February of 2013. For the next calendar year, Cruz was suspended every other day. Why did the school allow him to remain enrolled despite his daily, deranged behavior for a full year? Not by negligence, but by policy.

Students with disabilities are supposed to be educated in the “least restrictive environment” possible, regardless of whether their disability is that they’re dyslexic or a psychopath, and the paperwork requirements to send them to a specialized school can take many months.

Cruz’s language arts teacher spent months documenting his outbursts in class. Eventually, an assistant principal came to class to observe him:

On Oct. 24, Assistant Principal Antonio Lindsay came to class to observe Cruz. As soon as Lindsay left the room, Cruz yelled, “Yes, now I can talk!” He continued to be disruptive, and Yon said, “I know that you can behave. I have seen you. You’re a good kid.” Cruz shouted, “I’m a bad kid! I want to kill!”

It took several more months before the efforts to document Cruz’s behavior finally led to him be put in a school called Cross Creek which was designed for kids with serious problems. While there he regularly met with a therapist and also met with a consulting psychiatrist named Dr. Ortiz. Dr. Ortiz was so concerned about his behavior that she wrote a letter to Cruz’s private psychiatrist to make sure they were fully aware of his behavior and could continue his treatment over the summer before he was set to start high school. Here’s a sample:

At home, he continues to be aggressive and destructive with minimal provocation. For instance, he destroyed his television after loosing [sic] a video game that he was playing. Nikolas has a hatchet that he uses to chop up a dead tree in his backyard. Mom has not been able to locate that hatchet as of lately [sic]. When upset he punches holes in the walls and has used sharp tools to cut up the upholstery on the furniture and carve holes in the walls of the bathroom. Per recent information shared in school he dreams of killing others and [being] covered in blood.

Cruz started his freshmen year at Cross Creek but by October some improvement was noted in his behavior. Near the end of the school year Cruz asked to be allowed to join the Junior ROTC program at Marjory Stoneman Douglas:

Ortiz recorded, “interested in [J]ROTC? — not advised … Discussed the safety of others/himself.”

But the next month, every member of Cruz’s “Child Study Team” recommended that he be mainstreamed for two class periods a day at the beginning of the 2015-16 school year: for one class to be determined and JROTC.

Despite every indication that he was dangerous and obsessed with violence, they mainstreamed Cruz back into the high school where he eventually murdered 17 people. As the book recounts, teachers at Westglades Middle School who had worked so hard to get Cruz out of regular schools were surprised not by the shooting but by the fact that he’d ever been allowed back to a regular high school.

Andrew Pollack appeared on Tucker Carlson’s show last night and put the blame on Obama-era policies which were apparently designed to end the so-called school-to-prison pipeline. Pollack says that students were each allowed up to four infractions before police were involved and the number was reset every year. Meanwhile, parents weren’t told that kids with serious behavioral problems, like Nikolas Cruz, were at the school. Here’s Pollack’s appearance on Tucker’s show:

Future President Bill DeBlasio Promises to Confiscate All Your Semi-Auto Rifles. Good News: His Bodyguards’ll Keep Theirs

Bill deBlasio is better than you.

Or at least, that’s the way it seems.

It’s a fairly natural conclusion, given he believes he should be the one to take wealth from the wrong people and give it to the right ones.

The free market, hard work, acumen, and luck are out. Bill’s in. He’ll decide who’s successful. He could’ve appointed you, but he’s clearly surmised he oughta lord over the country’s — or at least New York’s — financial distribution (read all about it here).

Here’s another example of his Chosen One status: On Thursday, the mayor of the Big Apple announced that, if he becomes President of the U.S., he’ll enact a federal confiscation of semi-automatic rifles.

As posed by Fox News host Tucker Carlson, courtesy of The Daily Wire:

“You have said that you’re for mandatory buybacks of semi-automatic rifles. There are tens of millions of these rifles in circulation now, and presumably some large number of people won’t feel like selling them to the government. What do you do with those people?”

Bill thinks most of you are “smart” — so you geniuses’ll give him those guns:

“We’ve got to end the availability of assault weapons in this country, so I think if there was a ban on assault weapons and there was a buyback program, the vast majority of people, I think, would do the smart thing and they would sell them back. I don’t have a specific answer for you, but I think it’s a good question.”

It should be noted that this whole idea of “assault weapons” is of the Oscar Mayer variety. Semi-automatic and/or spooky-looking rifles are long hollow tubes out of which one bullet comes with each pull of the trigger. They’re prominently used for hunting and — statistically, compared to much smaller and less ominous-looking handguns — they’re rarely employed in violent crime.

Tucker thought Bill’s idea was crazy and a great way to ignite a whooole lot of violence.

Mayor Goofy’s response:

“I’m being honest with you, I think anyone in public life should say, you know, when we think we have an answer or whether it’s something we still have to work out. What I know is this: We cannot have assault weapons in our society – we’ve seen the devastating impact, they need to be banned. And that means by definition you don’t leave millions and millions of them out there. The buyback’s the obvious approach. How we deal with someone who doesn’t want to participate in the buyback, that’s something we’ll have to resolve going forward.”

Someone he won’t have to deal with: himself.

“His” rifles’ll stay — his protective detail’s provided by officers.

He’ll have that defense; you won’t.

Therein lies the “better than you.”

More from Commandant Confiscator:

“[Government bodyguards are] sworn law enforcement officers. Sworn law enforcement officers who are here to protect all of us. Someone who serves in public office for a limited period of time, and in the society that we’re living in, and I hate to say it but public servants are vulnerable to violence in a different way. Our law enforcement officers are there to protect all of us.”

He hates to say it.

They protect “all of us.”

Or, him.

And if he becomes president, he’ll have them all his life.

You won’t.

But he may have just ensured he’ll never get the chance.

In more than one way, a far Left revolution seems to be making a break for it. Beto just championed confiscation, too.

Viewing things from the cheap seats, I’d say this is why the NRA sticks to its…guns: They know the Left will never, ever stop. So the National Rifle Association…aims…to never budge an inch.

But the mayor of New York is determined.

DeBlasio wants to be POTUS.

But it sounds more like the title of “King” fits the Bill.

Tucker Carlson: CNN’s town hall was not really about climate change, but about Dems controlling our lives

Westlake Legal Group 694940094001_6083896178001_6083899937001-vs Tucker Carlson: CNN's town hall was not really about climate change, but about Dems controlling our lives Tucker Carlson fox-news/us/environment/climate-change fox-news/shows/tucker-carlson-tonight/transcript/tuckers-monologue fox-news/politics/2020-presidential-election fox-news/politics fox-news/opinion/media fox-news/opinion fox-news/media fox news fnc/opinion fnc article 38995d06-ceef-5851-8994-265078716fa2

It was an act, really, of wanton cruelty committed against defenseless television viewers. On Wednesday night, CNN subjected its tiny audience to what it described as a “Climate Change Town Hall.” The thing went on for seven hours. That’s a long time.

In fact, that’s so long that climate predictions made at the start of the evening could have been proven wrong by the end. An entire species of polar bear might have become extinct by the third commercial break. It’s a long time,

And yet, in the name of science, a few hearty souls attempted to watch the entire thing. Now, we can’t say with certainty what happened to them — though, of course, they’re in our prayers. But at least one of them could be seen lapsing into total unconsciousness while Elizabeth Warren was answering a question.

CNN’S MARATHON TOWN HALL ON CLIMATE CHANGE FINISHES BEHIND FOX NEWS, MSNBC

He was the lucky one. If he was sleeping deeply enough, he might have missed CNN asking Democratic presidential hopeful Julian Castro what his administration would do to fight “environmental racism.” We’re not making that up. But that’s just the tip of the rapidly melting iceberg.

Though it was billed as a show about the environment, in fact, Wednesday night was really an exercise in sweaty moral posturing. At times the evening became so strident that even the candidates on stage couldn’t keep up with it all.

Cory Booker, for example, tried to reassure viewers that Democrats don’t really want to take people’s meat away. Apparently, he had forgotten that Kamala Harris had just called for that.

CLICK HERE TO GET THE OPINION NEWSLETTER

“I hear about it all the time. ‘Booker wants to take away your hamburger,” he said. “Well, that is the kind of lies and fear-mongering that they spread out there, that somehow the Democrats want to get rid of hamburgers.”

But earlier in the night, Kamala Harris said the following in this exchange.

Erin Burnett, CNN host: But would you support changing the dietary guidelines?

Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., 2020 presidential candidate: Yes.

Burnett: You know, the food pyramid.

Harris: Yes.

Burnett: To reduce red meat specifically?

Harris: Yes, I would.

So Kamala Harris had been thinking a lot about what you eat, and she thinks you eat too much red meat, and she plans to do something about it once she is elected God. That and a number of other things.

In fact, there are quite a few things in America that Kamala Harris plans to ban immediately, as she indicated at the town hall.

Jessie Bluedown, climate change activist: Will you commit to implementing a federal ban on fracking your first day in office, adding the United States to the list of countries who have banned this devastating practice?

Harris: There’s no question I’m in favor of banning fracking, so yes.

Burnett: So would you ban offshore drilling?

Harris: Yes, and I’ve again, worked on that.

Burnett: Plastic straws are a big thing right now —

Harris: Yes —

Burnett: Do you ban plastic straws?

Harris: I think we should, yes.

Banning drinking straws. I mean, it is mindless and annoying. If you actually cared about plastic pollution — and you should care about plastic pollution because it’s horrifying  — you would punish China for Chinese plastics in the ocean. But of course, no one on the left wants to do that because they’re busy sucking up to China.

Though it was billed as a show about the environment, in fact, Wednesday night was really an exercise in sweaty moral posturing.

But banning fracking? Now, that’s just demented. Our energy sector is the single most successful part of the entire American economy. It’s one of the only things propping up our trade balance right now. It’s been a savior of last resort for rural areas devastated by globalization.

Kamala Harris doesn’t care about any of that. She probably doesn’t even know. When you’re a soulless demagogue bent on acquiring power at all cost, details are not relevant. All you see is yourself at the finish line, arms in the air.

Ambition is a powerful drug, and yet if we’re being honest about it, Harris was not even close to the least appealing candidate on the stage Wednesday night. That award goes, without question, to Father Pete Buttigieg, the Patron Saint of South Bend, Indiana.

Father Buttigieg launched into a sermon Wednesday night that would have made Jonathan Edwards proud. Sinners in the hands of an angry climate God.

“You know, if you believe that God is watching as poison is being belched into the air of creation, and people are being harmed by it, countries are at risk of vanishing in low-lying areas, what do you suppose God thinks of that?” Buttigieg asked. ” I bet he thinks it’s messed up. At least one way of talking about this is that it’s a kind of sin.”

You shudder to think of the torments waiting for you in Father Pete’s Episcopalian version of hell. Imagine him lecturing you superciliously for eternity, wagging his little fingers in your face, bragging about his virtue. It’s enough to make you want to obey.

Father Pete, though fears no such judgment. At the very same time he is yelling at you about “belching poison into the air of creation,” Father Pete himself is likely to be sipping Perrier at 50,000 feet in the leased Gulfstream.

According to an Associated Press report, Buttigieg flies on climate-destroying private jets more than any other Democratic candidate in the race right now. How can that be?

More from Opinion

We asked the Buttigieg campaign that question, and they responded, “We fly commercial as often as possible and only fly non-commercial when the schedule dictates.”

Non-commercial — oh that makes sense. The schedule dictates it. So when it’s convenient, Father Buttigieg follows his own commandments. The rest of the time  — when the schedule dictates — he is happy to belch poison into the air of creation.

So you’re not allowed to drink from a plastic straw — that’s immoral. But Father Pete gets to keep his private plane. So, no wonder rich people love climate activism. For them, it’s all upside. It’s not so great for everyone else, unfortunately.

For poor people in the third world, it’s going to be especially tough. We’re not going to be allowed to have as many children as they would like. Bernie Sanders explained it this way at the CNN Climate Change Town Hall.

Martha Readyoff, treacher: Empowering women and educating everyone on the need to curb population growth seems a reasonable campaign to enact. Would you be courageous enough to discuss this issue and make it a key feature of a plan to address climate catastrophe?

Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., 2020 presidential candidate: Well, Martha, the answer is yes. And the answer has everything to do with the fact that women in the United States of America, by the way, have a right to control their own bodies and make reproductive decisions. And the Mexico City agreement, which denies American aid to those organizations around the world that allow women to have abortions or even get involved in birth control to me is totally absurd.

Oh, there you go. Sanders says it right out loud. The Africans are having too many babies, we’re going to have to make sure those Africans have more abortions. We’re going to pay for African abortions.

We’re also, by the way, going to have to control what people eat, how they travel and where, what they do for a living. We’re going to have control every detail of their formerly personal lives. We’re in charge, now, of everything.

That’s the message. I suddenly realize that none of this has much to do with the environment.

Video: Tucker Carlson Demolishes Walmart Over Their Anti-Gun Virtue Signal

Westlake Legal Group cec2de83-9e46-43ef-9a97-17fe90b425f8-620x357 Video: Tucker Carlson Demolishes Walmart Over Their Anti-Gun Virtue Signal Walmart Tucker Carlson Politics Guns gun control Front Page Stories fox news Featured Story Doug McMillon China Business & Economy Allow Media Exception

Fox News host Tucker Carlson had some choice words for Walmart and its newfound anti-gun soapbox that has its CEO urging the government to push for more regulations on firearms.

Walmart CEO Doug McMillon recently released a statement saying that Walmart would no longer sell handguns in its stores and calling for the issue of banning semi-automatic rifles to be reopened.

Carlson noted the interesting timing of this. As the left is geared up to punish any corporation that doesn’t jibe with its narrative, Walmart suddenly becomes “woke” and the left, which until this point had always hated Walmart with a passion, is suddenly happy with the retail giant.

“That’s a fascinating turnaround,” said Carlson. “For years, you’ll remember, Walmart was the target of coordinated attacks from the left. Progressives accused the company of destroying small towns, and of exploiting workers. Walmart hired PR consultants and union busters to push back for years.”

Carlson noted that Walmart hasn’t changed its business tactics but that the left has now stopped attacking it.

“Walmart figured out it could buy immunity from criticism by mouthing left-wing pieties,” said Carlson. “That’s all it takes. Sounding woke, and they’ll leave you alone.”

He wasn’t done, though.

Carlson noted that Walmart didn’t plan on disposing of the remainder of its ammo, and in fact planned on continuing to sell it until it was gone. This is indicative of the fact that they don’t truly believe what they’re saying, and are still concerned about their bottom line, which is what all this is about in the first place.

The Fox News host then went into how Walmart’s business practices are actually damaging to the American economy, citing one study that showed that over a 12-year span, Walmart actually cost America 400,000 jobs thanks to sending manufacturing business overseas to China:

None of this was an accident. At times, Walmart sold goods at a loss, just long enough to drive American competitors out of business completely. Smaller retail shops and the jobs they provided vanished. Suddenly, in many places, Walmart was one of the few remaining employers. One and a half million Americans now work there at any given time. It’s definitely not an improvement over what we had before.

In 2005, 20 percent of Walmart employees worked part-time. Today, the majority do. It’s the simple cruelty of math: If Walmart keeps employees’ hours low enough, it can avoid paying benefits. Can people really live like that? Not for long.

Carlson finished with a verbal uppercut by highlighting their gross hypocrisy.

“The company more responsible than any other for destroying and degrading rural America — for making our towns uglier and cheaper and poorer — the same people who push the appalling lie that brightly-colored plastic crap from China is going to make us happy — that company is now lecturing normal Americans — the very Americans they’ve hurt so badly— about how immoral they are for daring to protect themselves with firearms. And everyone in Washington, New York, and LA is applauding them as they do it. It’s not a good sign.”

Bonchie wrote earlier today about a huge story from the Washington Post on Thursday where Joe Biden was found to have “jumbled elements of at least three actual events into one story of bravery, compassion and regret that never happened.”

It’s a hugely embarrassing story for Biden, coming on the heels of a month full of gaffes and misstatements he’s made on the campaign trail that have raised questions about his age and mental acuity.

Tucker Carlson discussed the news of Biden’s false war story on his Fox News program Thursday night, and during the segment he brought in Mark Steyn to weigh in with his thoughts on Biden being caught making up a war story to embellish his foreign policy creds.

Steyn ended up performing a dramatic reenactment of Biden’s story that left Carlson in stitches:

Carlson turned to Steyn, who maintained that the fictitious story was, in fact, Biden at his best. “To be fair, Tucker, this is the old Biden back,” he said. “The recent Biden of this campaign, the stumbling, bumbling, mumbling guy who can’t remember the name of Barack Obama, that’s an embarrassment. He stumbles, he trips on three-syllable words like ‘Democrat.’”

“But this is classic Biden,” Steyn went on. “This is Biden at top form, where he does this vivid, coherent, brilliant narrative, in which not a single detail is correct.”

Steyn then delivered a facetious monologue, pretending to be Biden as he recounted taking fire while president on D-Day, among other fake adventures. “This was classic Joe Biden. He’s back! His mojo has returned! His mojo knows what state it’s in.”

Watch Steyn retell Biden’s story below to a laughing Carlson:

A slightly longer version of the video shows a still-chuckling Carlson admitting at the end that he was drooling:

All humor aside, this was – as Twitchy described it – classic Steyn, and his larger point was that this is who Joe Biden really is. Biden wouldn’t be Biden if he didn’t invent stories from time to time in an effort to impress voters and beef up his political bonafides. We learned this back during his first presidential run in 1987.

Though he dropped out of that race due to confirmed stories of plagiarism, he stayed in politics and in the Senate, and eventually became President Barack Obamas’s vice president. So Biden has never really paid a political price for the tall tales he often likes to tell.

As a result, he has been emboldened to believe he can get away with telling them. Though the media has finally caught on and has started taking a closer look at his embellishments, only time will tell if the focus on them will impact voters. So far, it hasn’t.

Brian Kilmeade to Trump: Why do you have such a problem lately with Fox News airing diverse viewpoints?

Westlake Legal Group bk Brian Kilmeade to Trump: Why do you have such a problem lately with Fox News airing diverse viewpoints? Tucker Carlson Trump The Blog laura ingraham hannity fox news Fox & Friends Brian Kilmeade

Answer: There’s an election coming up, buddy. And in this case the president has something in common with his most ardent detractors — they both view Fox News as filling a “state media” role for the Trump White House, especially in primetime.

So imagine his chagrin as Americans begin tuning into the Democratic primaries and thinking about the choice they’ll have to make next year upon finding the polling arm of State Media putting out surveys showing him getting crushed by the likes of Joe Biden.

Trump understands that we live in an era of intense negative partisanship. Everyone picks a side; if you’re not unambiguously on one team then you’re deemed to be on the other. When Chris Wallace or Shep Smith or Fox’s pollsters wander off the Trump reservation, to POTUS they’re serving the Democrats by definition. Whether the information they’re publicizing is true and of public importance is completely — completely — beside the point.

I give Kilmeade credit for broaching this uncomfortable topic with Trump during an interview. I … do not give him credit for declining to pursue the topic once Trump negan spinning on it. Kilmeade asks him what’s wrong with diverse views, Trump starts complaining about the lack of diversity (on the subject of Trump) on CNN and MSNBC, then Kilmeade shifts to a question about Elizabeth Warren’s crowds. Stick up for Fox’s pollster! Stick up for the news team, which is fighting an endless battle against the network’s “state media” perceptions. Maybe remind Trump that critiquing him isn’t always a hostile act, even though he’d never agree. Kilmeade himself is a good example of that: He’s one of the few people at the network who’s clearly pro-Trump on balance but also willing to sound a dissenting note from time to time.

At WaPo today Aaron Blake asks an unthinkable question: If Trump and Fox go to war, could Fox win?

[T]his is a symbiotic relationship — it’s not a one-way street. Just as Fox could lose viewers if it alienates Trump and he pushes people to other outlets, Trump relies upon Fox to inform and, in many cases, rally his base. In fact, it’s so influential to such a huge portion of his base that, if it were to buck him over his threats or even just be somewhat less favorable, it could conceivably do him real damage in his 2020 reelection race.

Put a little more plainly: Given the fine margins Trump is dealing with in his reelection campaign, Fox News could help sink him. Fox can lose some viewers and win the ratings wars; Trump basically cannot lose any supporters and win reelection. You could even make an argument that Trump needs Fox more than Fox needs Trump…

Trump’s apparent desire to steer viewers to a more sycophantic network isn’t as simple as it sounds. While One America News Network and Newsmax are carried by a growing number of operators, their programming isn’t anywhere close to or as advanced as competitors such as Fox. Fox is kind of the only big-time game in town for many Trump supporters, as evidenced by the fact that few select any other network as their most trusted. That means scaring them away from Fox may not lead them to a more favorable alternative.

That argument rests on a dubious assumption, which is that Fox has it within its power to meaningfully affect viewers’ opinions of Trump. Does it? What would that look like? It’s completely unimaginable that Fox primetime would turn on Trump in the middle of an election in which any Democrat who’s nominated, including Joe Biden, will be treated as Lenin’s reincarnation. Any strong Trump-skeptical push would need to come from the news side — but it’s not the news side that shapes viewer opinion, it’s the unshakably pro-Trump opinion side. The most anti-Trumpers could hope for is that relentlessly critical coverage in news programming would make *just* enough Fox viewers ambivalent about Trump that they don’t bother turning out on Election Day, which ends up proving fatal to him when every swing state ends up tilting towards the Democrat by a hair’s breadth. But in the meantime, outraged Trump loyalists among the audience would tune out the network in protest (at least during daytime hours) and the tension between the news and opinion teams might erupt into public sniping, with Hannity and Tucker et al. possibly inclined to walk when their contracts are up.

That is to say, although Fox could theoretically do more damage to Trump by costing him the presidency in a freakishly tight election, the odds are far greater that Fox would sustain major damage to its ratings and its long-term prospects as a monopoly on right-wing infotainment if it did so. It could win the battle but would end up losing the war. And it probably wouldn’t even win the battle.

Tucker Carlson Gives Kirsten Gillibrand an Appropriate Send-Off After She Dropped Out of the 2020 Race

Westlake Legal Group 97cfe63d-796a-4f0c-bce7-30cb37968a8f-620x317 Tucker Carlson Gives Kirsten Gillibrand an Appropriate Send-Off After She Dropped Out of the 2020 Race Tucker Carlson primary Politics Kirsten Gillibrand Front Page Stories fox news Featured Story elections democrats Allow Media Exception 2020

New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand has dropped out of the 2020 Democratic primary race and all of her fan is devastated.

Don’t worry, though, because Tucker Carlson isn’t going to let her go without an appropriate send-off. On Wednesday night, during his show “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Fox News, Carlson let Gillibrand have it with both barrels.

Calling her a “pampered hypocrite with no scruples,” Carlson reminded everyone about how Gillibrand was friends with people society now considers villains, such as Bill Clinton and Harvey Weinstein, until they weren’t useful anymore, and lurched hard to the left after having moderate stances in the name of obtaining power.

Carlson also covered how Gillibrand is “happy to lecture you about your failings and your privilege.”

Carlson then played a supercut of Gillibrands greatest (worst) moments, including telling a mother at a town hall that her son has white privilege, and no matter how bad her son has it, a black person’s life will always be worse.

“Self-righteous, dumb, yeah that’s par for the course here in Washington, but the last clip shows where Gillibrand stands apart,” said Carlson. “That was Gillibrand, the United States senator, lecturing a mother in Youngstown, Ohio … She was saying that no matter how much Washington abandons her and her entire region to unemployment and drug addiction and suicide and diabetes, actually that woman should be ashamed of her white privilege. That’s Kirsten Gillibrand in one clip. Really, the worst candidate ever. Good riddance, Kirsten Gillibrand.”

Carlson even had a guest on to talk about Gillibrand’s exist, and laid it on Gillibrand even more.

“I sympathize with candidates when they get out,” Carlson said. “But with Kirsten Gillibrand it can’t come a moment too soon. I can’t think of someone more false, nastier, crueler, more self-centered, dumber, can you?”

Carlson isn’t altogether wrong. Gillibrand’s entire presence in the 2020 field has been a mistake since the beginning. Her time on the debate stage is marked with moments where she was obliterated by her fellow Democrats in between completely forgettable moments. In fact, I can’t recall one specific policy position she took in the hours of Democratic debates we’ve already been subjected to.

The most notable moment was when former VP Joe Biden raked her over the coals after she attempted to attack him on his record with women. A record she once praised until it became convenient to attack him.

By the end of it all, even Gillibrand’s own former staffers and donors were suggesting she drop out, calling her presence in the 2020 field “obnoxious.”

(READ: Kirsten Gillibrand’s Own Friends And Ex-Staffers Turn Their Backs On Her, Call Her “Obnoxious”)

And she was indeed obnoxious. Gillibrand’s attempts at seeming down to Earth and “like folks” always came off forced and far from genuine, just like Clinton in 2016.

If I was a Democrat, I’d be only too happy to see her gone from the Primary. She was an embarrassment.

Tucker Carlson: San Francisco bans words to hide its crime problem — and to control your mind

Westlake Legal Group 694940094001_6075955988001_6075953768001-vs Tucker Carlson: San Francisco bans words to hide its crime problem -- and to control your mind Tucker Carlson fox-news/us/crime fox-news/topic/homeless-crisis fox-news/shows/tucker-carlson-tonight/transcript/tuckers-monologue fox-news/politics/state-and-local/cities fox-news/politics fox-news/opinion fox news fnc/opinion fnc article 58ffe468-50e2-574e-8b74-87929f5e6943

For the past couple of years, we’ve reported in some horrifying detail on how the professional left has totally transformed the city of San Francisco from this country’s most beautiful city, our Cape Town, into a cesspool of filth, homelessness and drug addiction. That is not an exaggeration. There are now more junkies in San Francisco than there are high school students.

And so you won’t be surprised to learn that the city has also become threatening and dangerous. The rate of property crime in San Francisco is the highest of any big city in America. More than five dozen cars are smashed and robbed every single day of the year. It’s a disaster.

But don’t worry, the city’s leaders have a plan to respond to this. And of course, it’s not more cops or better enforcement of the law. That would be bigoted. Instead, the city of San Francisco has decided to ban words that suggest San Francisco has a crime problem. If people aren’t allowed to talk about crime, maybe they won’t notice crime exists. That’s the thinking.

SAN FRANCISCO HOMELESS STATS SOAR: CITY BLAMES BIG BUSINESS, RESIDENTS BLAME OFFICIALS

So last month, the city’s Board of Supervisors decreed that there’ll be no more “convicted felons” in San Francisco. Going forward, ex-cons are to be called, “justice-involved individuals.”  Well, as it happens, the people they committed crimes against are also  “justice-involved individuals.”

So, in other words, victim and criminal are now morally indistinguishable. That’s on purpose. This is woke equality.

But there’s a problem. Back in Washington, leaders of the Democratic Party apparently haven’t gotten the memo on this, and some are still using the term “felon,” which is the real “F” word.

So you might want to send the kids from the room as we play the following clip. We warn you: It’s ugly.

Former President Barack Obama: An overwhelming majority of Americans agree that anyone trying to buy a gun should at least have to prove that they’re not a [bleep] or somebody legally prohibited from owning one.

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y. 2020 presidential candidate: And I do support full restoration of [bleep] rights to vote.

Joe Biden, 2020 presidential candidate: I think the policy that the voting rights for [bleep] make sense.

Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif.., 2020 presidential candidate: For all of those young men, mostly of color, who got arrested and are now [bleep] for life is selling that weed on the corner.

Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.: Every law-abiding citizen has the right to have a gun unless you’re a [bleep].

Hillary Clinton: What enabled that young man to get a gun he was not entitled to? He was a [bleep]. He had a [bleep] conviction.

Sorry, about all the “F” words. How insensitive can you get? Someone better call H.R.

Meanwhile, back in the city of San Francisco, there are no longer any “juvenile delinquents.” The whole category has disappeared. Criminals under 18 are now referred to as “young people impacted by the juvenile justice system” — as if the system, and not the kid, committed the crime, which is what the left in fact believes. It’s your fault, not theirs. Check your privilege, Middle America.

More from Opinion

Drug addicts, meanwhile, in San Francisco are now called “people with the history of substance use.” “Use,” not “abuse.” Get it? Heroin addicts are now the same as insulin-dependent diabetics; both use “substances.” You can’t call one better than the other. They’re both exactly the same.

Language makes thought possible. When the words disappear, so does our ability to think about the ideas the words represent.

Now, you could laugh this off. San Francisco, after all, is where all the crazy things happen. But language makes thought possible. When the words disappear, so does our ability to think about the ideas the words represent.

When they prevent you from saying the obvious, over time, it becomes impossible to see the obvious. And that’s exactly of course, why they do it.

Those who control your words, control your mind.

Tucker Carlson: Dems haven’t learned any lessons from 2016 – and are on track to lose again in 2020

Westlake Legal Group 694940094001_6066978826001_6066974530001-vs Tucker Carlson: Dems haven't learned any lessons from 2016 - and are on track to lose again in 2020 Tucker Carlson fox-news/shows/tucker-carlson-tonight/transcript/tuckers-monologue fox-news/politics/elections/democrats fox-news/politics/2020-presidential-election fox-news/politics fox-news/opinion fox news fnc/opinion fnc article 0563b50d-6e1c-5962-a9cd-769985a9fb97

Four years ago, Democrats came up with a new and untested political theory: They could win the White House, their strategist promised, if only they called enough people racist.

That was the plan. Hillary Clinton, for one, thought it was brilliant. By Election Day, she had denounced fully half the country as bigots.

In the end, it did not work. Maybe not surprisingly, it turns out that when you tell people you hate them, they don’t care for it. What voters strongly prefer, actually, is when you try to improve their lives. It’s not complicated. And yet somehow — and this is the remarkable part, if you think about it — Democrats have in the three years since they lost, steadfastly refused to learn this lesson. Improve people’s lives?  They’ll tell you. “No, thanks.”

CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM TUCKER CARLSON.

They think their job is to improve people. They think voters are disgusting and immoral. They want to force them to be half as virtuous as they are. For the second election cycle in a row, that is the Democratic message: You’re disgusting. Try to be as good as we are.

That message was on florid display Wednesday night at the candidates’ debate. Watch as Washington Governor Jay Inslee blames Americans for the coming end of the world.

Gov. Jay Inslee, 2020 presidential candidate: We cannot work it out. We cannot work this out. The time is up. Our house is on fire. We have to stop using coal in 10 years. And we need a president to do it or it won’t get done. Get off coal. Save this country and the planet. That’s what I am for.

Okay, so let’s say carbon emissions really are responsible for global climate change. We don’t know that. Science has not proved it. Sorry, it has not.

But just for the sake of argument, let’s stipulate that it’s true. Carbon causes climate change. China is by far the world’s biggest emitter of carbon. So, shouldn’t Governor Inslee, who cares very deeply about climate change, turn his wrath on the Chinese? Well, of course. But he didn’t, and never will because, for Democrats, everything is always the fault of America’s voters.

Watch Senator Kirsten Gillibrand of New York brag about that time she harangued some of the poorest, most desperate people in America about how, actually, they’re privileged, too. Privileged, even as they languish in chronic unemployment and drop dead by the hundreds of thousands from a widely ignored drug epidemic. The real problem, Kirsten Gillibrand told them. is their white privilege.

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., 2020 presidential candidate: I don’t believe that it’s the responsibility of Cory [Booker] and Kamala [Harris] to be the only voice that takes on these issues of institutional racism, systemic racism in our country. I think as a white woman of privilege, who is a U.S. senator running for president of the United States, it is also my responsibility to lift up those voices that aren’t being listened to. And I can talk to those white women in the suburbs that voted for Trump and explain to them what white privilege actually is. So my responsibility is to not only lift up those stories but explain to communities across America, like I did in Youngstown, Ohio to a young mother, that this is all of our responsibility.

Yes, they’re privileged in Youngstown. That’s Youngstown’s problem — just too much privilege.

Not to be outdone, Julian Castro attacked Americans for daring to complain about illegal immigration to their country. \

Open borders, he explained, is just a right-wing talking point. And then a single breath later, Castro called for repealing the law that makes it a crime to enter America illegally.

Democrats think their job is to improve people. They think voters are disgusting and immoral. They want to force them to be half as virtuous as they are. For the second election cycle in a row, that is the Democratic message: You’re disgusting. Try to be as good as we are.

Julian Castro, 2020 presidential candidate: Open borders is a right-wing talking point. And frankly, I’m disappointed that some folks including some folks on this stage have taken the bait. The only way that we’re going to guarantee that we don’t have family separations in this country again, is to repeal Section 1325 of the Immigration and Nationality Act.

Cory Booker, meanwhile, is in the process of transitioning to a brand-new identity. He spent most of the evening trying to sound like a Nation of Islam recruiter rather than the deeply privileged son of two IBM executives, which is what he is.

Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J, 2020 presidential candidate: There are people right now in prison for life for drug offenses, because you stood up and used that tough on crime, phony rhetoric that got a lot of people elected, but destroy communities like mine.

That’s Booker barking at the former Vice President Joe Biden. Poor vice president. The best is, “Communities like mine were destroyed by you, Joe Biden.”

Cory Booker grew up in Harrington Park, New Jersey. The black population of Harrington Park — 0.6 percent. Less than 1 percent. The poverty rate for families in Harrington Park is literally zero. Not a single family in Harrington Park is poor — not one. That’s where Cory Booker grew up. So the only way that Joe Biden’s crime policies destroyed Booker’s hometown is by allowing its residents to move out and gentrify Brooklyn.

CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP.

Cory Booker is by far the most privileged candidate running for president in either party this year. And that’s fine. It’s not his fault. It’s the relentless lying about it that’s so grating.

Can any of these candidates win a general election? At this point, no. They can’t. They’re not impressive enough. Joe Biden was the party’s one real hope. And after last night, it seems pretty clear — conclusively clear, really — that Uncle Joe is heading for a well-deserved retirement.

One exchange showed it’s time for Biden to forget about making it to the White House. He couldn’t even locate his own campaign website — that “Joe 30330” site doesn’t exist. Actually, I think it’s been bought by Pete Buttigieg or something.

But it tells you a lot about Joe Biden. Don’t be fooled by the current poll numbers. Biden is finished. And if another candidate doesn’t step up very soon and start talking like a sane person, so is the Democratic Party — at least for this cycle.

Tucker Carlson: Don’t be fooled – most modern Dems didn’t care about Baltimore until Trump tweeted

Westlake Legal Group 694940094001_6065327015001_6065329401001-vs Tucker Carlson: Don't be fooled - most modern Dems didn't care about Baltimore until Trump tweeted Tucker Carlson fox-news/shows/tucker-carlson-tonight/transcript/tuckers-monologue fox-news/politics/executive fox-news/politics fox-news/person/donald-trump fox-news/opinion fox-news/media/fox-news-flash fox news fnc/opinion fnc article 66770e3b-c667-5f67-8bc2-5693c907be33

Over the weekend, President Trump got bored and decided to see if he could make Democrats defend the most dangerous, corrupt place in the country, and of course, he could. It wasn’t hard.

He just sent a flurry of tweets criticizing the city of Baltimore and the congressman who represents it, Elijah Cummings. The president called Baltimore “a disgusting rat and rodent infested hellhole, a corrupt mess that no human being would want to live in.”

A lot of people who have never been to Baltimore claimed to be deeply offended by those remarks. But one person who seemed to agree with him was the former mayor of Baltimore, Catherine Pugh. She had said something remarkably similar just last year. “What the hell?” said the mayor. “You can smell the rotting rats.” The mayor did not explain why she didn’t clean up the rotting rats.

CLICK HERE TO READ MORE FROM TUCKER CARLSON.

That footage, by the way got almost no attention when it ran on a local news station. Neither did the story just 10 days ago about the deputy police commissioner of Baltimore who was robbed at gunpoint by four thugs while out to dinner with his wife. People were not talking about that story in Georgetown this weekend. In fact, if there is one thing that virtually everyone who lives in Washington aggressively doesn’t care about, it’s Baltimore. Baltimore is 40 miles away, but it’s a different world. You could live here your entire life in D.C. and never visit or think about Baltimore. Most people in D.C. do just that — or did.

Then came this weekend, when “Orange Mussolini” weighed in on the subject and suddenly, Baltimore became holy ground, a sacred city of light that only an infidel would disparage. An infidel, or perhaps — and this will not surprise you — a racist — because honestly, only a hardened bigot would criticize a place as awesome as Baltimore. That was the media consensus over the weekend.

Brian Stelter, CNN chief media correspondent: This weekend, racist messages raging from the President’s Twitter feed.

Amanda Carpenter, CNN political contributor: Donald Trump massively makes it a racist debate about Baltimore.

Stelter: Another racist attack on an African-American member of Congress and the city he represents.

Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y.: Well, the president is, as he usually is or often is, disgusting and racist.

New York Mayor Bill De Blasio, 2020 presidential candidate: He uses a racist appeal. He uses a bait and switch.

Al Sharpton, MSNBC host: In the most bigoted and racist way …

Got that? It’s race-baiting says Al Sharpton, a noted authority on the subject. Pretty funny.

CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE ENTIRE EPISODE.

Republicans are very easy to intimidate. They still get red in the face when CNN calls them “racist.” But they shouldn’t. It’s not real. Nobody means it, least of all, Al Sharpton. If you paid him money, he would stop criticizing you. You should, probably. It is just easier.

The whole thing is a campaign tactic dreamed up at the DNC. Once the Russia conspiracy imploded, Democrats and their lackeys in the media moved on to the other message they have, which is, “Shut up, racist.” It didn’t work in 2016 for Hillary, but they’re hopeful it will work this time. They are trying hard. We will see.

Meanwhile, Baltimore — the actual city of Baltimore, not the metaphor of Baltimore –could desperately use some attention. So it’s good news that it is finally getting some. If anything, Trump’s tweets underplay the crisis there.

Modern progressivism isn’t about helping the people beneath you, it’s about establishing moral superiority over them. It’s a revolution aimed downward, a boot in the face of people beneath you.

Last year, the city of Baltimore recorded 309 homicides — that’s a rate of more than 50 per 100,000 people. To put it in perspective, if Baltimore were a country, it would have the fourth-highest murder rate in the world, barely below Venezuela.

Or think of it this way: last week, the left denounced President Trump for reaching a deal with Guatemala that declares the country a safe location for asylum seekers. Liberals told us that Guatemala has too much crime and too many gangs to be considered safe. Making people stay in Guatemala is a human rights violation they told us, and yet, and here’s the amazing part, Baltimore’s murder rate is double that of Guatemala.

In almost any way that a city can be a disaster, Baltimore is. More than 22 percent of the city lives in poverty. Almost 65 percent of all children in Baltimore grew up in single-parent households.

CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP.

The schools, not surprisingly. are a catastrophe. In 2017, one-third of Baltimore’s high schools had zero students who were proficient in math. Let that sink in. In 13 of Baltimore’s 39 high schools, not a single student — not one student — was deemed proficient at math. You’d think that would be a national scandal. You’d think that Elijah Cummings would be in a hunger strike until that’s fixed.

Bernie Sanders to his credit, by the way, visited Baltimore a few years ago and was shocked by it.

Sanders: Anyone who took the walk that we took around this neighborhood would not think you are in a wealthy nation. You would think that you were in a third world country.

A third world country? Whoa! Wait a second. Bernie Sanders, a white supremacist? No. Actually, he’s just an old-fashioned liberal. That’s how Democrats use to think if they saw misery and urban decay. They wanted to fix it. Not anymore. Modern progressives are different from that. Modern progressivism isn’t about helping the people beneath you, it’s about establishing moral superiority over them. It’s a revolution aimed downward, a boot in the face of people beneath you. That’s what it’s about.

So Democrats support the status quo in Baltimore. It doesn’t bother them and that’s not surprising because they created it. The city hasn’t had a Republican mayor in more than 50 years. Things really began to fall apart after the 2015 riots there, and this didn’t get a lot of attention because, again, nothing that happens in Baltimore gets any attention until Trump tweets about it.

But it was a big deal, and the Obama administration imposed a consent decree on the city’s police department because they are racist, hat in effect radically restricted the ability to protect citizens, and not surprisingly, crime exploded. Elijah Cummings, by the way, praised that consent decree. He is very much a part of the problem in Baltimore.

From her taxpayer payer funded vacation in Italy today, Nancy Pelosi defended Elijah Cummings and the city of Baltimore. And Pelosi would know –she grew up in Baltimore. Her father was a mayor of Baltimore; her brother was the mayor of Baltimore.

But like most rich progressives, Pelosi herself is long gone. She is in San Francisco now in Pacific Heights. She has got a winery in Napa. She is not interested in going back to Baltimore. It’s easier just to give other people lectures about Baltimore. Most Democrats feel that way. They’ve given up on the poor.

Instead of trying to fix Baltimore’s problem and rescue its people, they have decided to import a new population of people, many of them illegal aliens. Baltimore City Councilman Zeke Cohen once bragged about it on “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

Carlson: My only concern is for the people who are already here. Does it make a school better when people move in who don’t speak English? Is it good for the kids who are already in the school do you think? Does it improve the education? Is it fair to the taxpayers? Have you thought about that?

Zeke Cohen, Baltimore City councilman: I think the greatest asset in our city is our diversity and I was joined by an amazing group of immigrant youth yesterday in passing this resolution.

Carlson: No, but that doesn’t — hold on — slow down. That doesn’t mean anything. I asked you a sincere question. Does it improve a school when a lot of people who move in, they don’t speak English? Does a school get better?

Cohen: Absolutely.

Yes, schools get a lot better when you import a lot of people who don’t speak English. Actually, it turns out that the schools haven’t gotten better at all, but Zeke Cohen doesn’t care. Nobody in the left cares because they don’t care about Baltimore.

Illegal immigration has been devastating for Baltimore, and a lot of cities like Baltimore. The last thing any poor desperate community needs is even more poor and desperate people. It’s not an attack on anybody, it’s a fact. Go to Lewiston, Maine if you don’t believe it.

Illegal immigration drives down wages for low-skilled workers nationwide. They suck up education and health care dollars. Democrats do not care about this. Why? Because illegal immigrants are reliable votes for them. They are a pathway to power. And for Democrats, that is worth sacrificing a city or two or 10 or a whole country.
