Gal Gadot to Produce and Star in Movie About Christian Woman Who Saved Thousands of Jewish Children from Nazis

Continuing to prove to be one of the most stand-up women in Hollywood, Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot has started up her own production company with her husband and decided their first film will be about a Christian woman who saved thousands of Jewish children from the Nazis.

According to Deadline, Gadot will produce and act the lead in a true story film about Irena Sendler and her efforts to defy the Nazis by saving the lives of others:

Irena Sendler tells the harrowing story of a woman’s defiant stand against Nazi Germany’s occupation of Poland and the incredible network she developed to care for and save 2500 Jewish children from the Warsaw ghetto. Following her arrest by the Gestapo during the height of the war, the drama becomes a race against time to save not only herself but the identities of the hidden thousands who’ll face certain execution. Justine Juel Gillmer will be writing the screenplay. She just wrote another harrowing Holocaust film, Harry Haft. Gillmer has worked in film and television in her native Australia, and has worked on numerous shows in the U.S. including The 100, Into the Badlands, and is now serving as a writer/co-EP on Amazon’s Wheel of Time.

According to Gadot and her husband, their new production company, Pilot Wave, will focus on inspiring stories just like Sendler’s.

“As producers, we want to help bring stories that have inspired us to life,” Gadot and Varsano said. “Pilot Wave will create content that promotes the perspectives and experiences of unique people and produce impactful stories aimed at igniting the imagination.”

Hearing stories like this one would be a breath of fresh air, especially in an age where Hollywood has nothing good to say about Christians or Christianity. It’s likely that Gadot will face more controversy for taking on such a project, but she faces controversy no matter what she undertakes. Many of the hard left already despise her for being a beautiful, pro-Israeli, former soldier.

My hope is that the controversy doesn’t cause her or her production company to pull back on story elements that may give rise to controversy, such as the Christian element to the story.

I have faith in Gadot, however.

Just Days After Voting in a New Leader, the Women’s March Cans Her Due to Radical Anti-Israel, Anti-American Remarks

It’s an odd thing — a pro-abortion, anti-Trump organization touting itself as a group representative of all women, perpetually associating with a religion that’s considerably restrictive where women are concerned.

Only days after naming a new board member — and after parting ways from some of its more anti-semitic members, including pro-Sharia Linda Sarsour — the Women’s March has ousted Zahra Billoo for radical anti-Israel statements previously made on social media.

Hence, Zahra’s now denounced the WM and their “Islamophobic smear campaign.”

So what kind of things had the former executive director of the controversial Council of American Islamic Relations said?

Well, as reported by The Daily Caller, in 2017, she listed her reasons for boycotting Wonder Woman. The movie starred Gal Gadot, who’d served in the Israeli Defense Forces. Here’s what Zahra had to say:

“I similarly would not watch a movie where the lead actor or actress were proud of their participation in the US military, ISIS, or Al Qaeda. Don’t guess, I’ll just tell you, I believe all of them are comparably evil.”

She also called Gal a “murderer,” condemning “Apartheid Israel.”

Press Pause: Wonder Woman was awesome. If you haven’t seen it, please do. Gal was wonderful.

Moving on, in a February 2018 Facebook entry, Zahra equated American military to ISIS and Nazis. Describing an encounter with a Marine recruiter, she offered this hunk o’ words:

“He explained the promise of the educational benefits that lured him in. He was otherwise not going to be able to go to school. I shared that financial benefits are often a recruiting tactic for groups like ISIS also. That was tricky for me. Gently comparing his experience to that of ISIS fighters. I refrained from comparing him to a Nazi cook, who though a cook, was still part of the Nazi operation. It took a lot to not say it.”

Zahra posted a 25-tweet-long series of criticism about her dismissal just after midnight Thursday. Here’s a little bit put together for ya:

Since this is going to be in your newsfeeds in the morning – here’s a thread about me being voted off the board of @WomensMarch tonight. A few hours ago, I was voted off the @WomensMarch national board. This followed an Islamophobic smear campaign led by the usual antagonists, who have long targeted me, my colleagues, and anyone else who dares speak out in support of Palestinian human rights and the right to self-determination. The past 48 hours have been a spiral of bad news and smear efforts. Part of the smear campaign is motivated by opponents of the Women’s March, because the organization has traditionally challenged the status quo of power and white supremacy in our country. However, much of the campaign is driven by people who oppose me and my work challenging the occupation of Palestine, our country’s perpetuation of unjust and endless wars, and law enforcement operations targeting the American Muslim community. The Women’s March, Inc. is an organization I once held dear. I spoke at the first #WomensMarch, spoke at regional marches every year after, spoke at the #WomensConvention, participated in national actions including the original #Kavanaugh protests, and worked to mobilize Muslim women for their efforts. During the past few years right-wingers, from the President’s son to the Anti-Defamation League and troll armies, have targeted the Women’s March, Inc. For so long, I’ve admired their resilience in speaking truth to power, in working together, and in never cowering. Over and over again, the co-founders of Women’s March, Inc., @lsarsour, @msladyjustice1, @TamikaDMallory, and @bobblanddesign, put their lives on the line, winning power for all women in all of our diversity. The Women’s March, Inc. that voted me off its board tonight is one that no longer demonstrates the strength that inspired millions of women across the country. To see and experience its new leaders caving to right-wing pressure, and casting aside a woman of color, a Muslim woman, a long-time advocate within the organization, without the willingness to make any efforts to learn and grow, breaks my heart.

The Women’s March was destined to go the way of the dodo bird, given its definitive tie to #MeToo. In a world of surging trends, the media perpetually tries to sell us on what’s most important. But that’s always fake news — as soon as there’s a newer story, yesterday’s headlines are Outsville.

And now, so is Zahra Billoo. And her tie to the pro-woman, anti-conservative-woman Women’s March.
