Beto Betas on Betsy Ross Flag Decision by Nike

Failed Senate candidate and future failed 2020 presidential candidate Robert “Beto” O’Rourke has weighed in on the Nike controversy surrounding its decisions to pull its shoe adorned with a Betsy Ross flag and, of course, has decided to side with Nike because the social justice sect of the Democrat religion has labeled it a sin.

According to tweets posted by Ben Jacobs, O’Rourke considers it “important to take into account the impression that kind of symbol would have for our fellow Americans,” and that he respects Nike’s decisions and is “grateful for the conversation” that it’s provoking.

He also added that the Betsy Ross flag has been “appropriated” by white nationalist groups.

In other words, the SJWs said “jump,” and O’Rourke asked “which cliff?”

The appointed cliff was to erase our history because the loudest of the outrage mob have declared the flag in cahoots with racism and slavery. A lot of things could be tied with slavery, yet I don’t see many in the mob tearing off cotton based clothing. This is more useless anger directed at something that doesn’t deserve the ire, and an obedient politician doing what’s necessary to stay in the good graces of a group of people who are rejecting him anyway.

O’Rourke is doing so badly in the Democratic race right now that the chances of him winning the primary are about as good as this Irish blooded politician actually being considered Hispanic as his nickname implies.

If anything, O’Rourke just demonstrated that he, like Nike, is a coward. He’s obedient to a fault.

In the meantime, some companies are tossing out attitudes like O’Rourke’s and asking others to show pride in the flag. One company called “Out of Line” has created a Betsy Ross flag themed shoe in an effort to look at the flag in a more positive light, and recognize an accomplishment of a woman in a time with when accomplishing things was far more difficult.

This woman’s clothing company is showing far more bravery than a major corporation or a nationally known politician.

Last month, not long after the news broke that failed Republican U.S. Senate candidate Roy Moore (AL) said he’d be taking another shot at the seat in 2020, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley weighed in on Twitter with her thoughts on the announcement:

As recent polling in Alabama indicates, Moore is pulling in a mere 13% of Republican voters. So he’s not exactly a top contender:

But inconvenient facts like that don’t matter to MSNBC‘s Chris Hayes, who (belatedly) took a swipe at Haley on Monday on the social media platform, suggesting that Moore was the face of the Republican party:

That didn’t sit well with a number of Twitter users, who pointed out that Hayes needed to work on cleaning his own backyard before he started casting stones over the fence:

Donald Trump, Jr. joined in, too, and hammered the Virginia point home:

It should be noted that Trump, Jr. opposes Moore’s candidacy like most Republicans do:

As of this writing, Hayes has not responded to Trump, Jr.’s tweet.

CNN’s Fareed Zakaria: ‘Pains Me To Say’ Trump Is Right About Asylum

Fareed Zakaria, a journalist with CNN, attends the Clinton Global Initiative, Monday, Sept. 24, 2012 in New York. (AP Photo/Mark Lennihan)

CNN’s Fareed Zakaria has emerged as one of the first liberal journalists to admit that the U.S. system of asylum is “out of control” and is being “gamed.”  He discussed the growing crisis on his program, “Fareed Zakaria GPS,” and in a recent column in the Washington Post saying it “pains me to say that he [Trump] is right.” Finally, a voice of sanity from the left.

He acknowledges that the number of asylum seekers has skyrocketed in the last five years which has led to a “staggering backlog in immigration courts.”

Zakaria calls the current asylum rules “vague” and says “they are too lax.” He even quotes a senior Homeland Security Department official who recently said, “the system is on fire.”

The initial step for many asylum seekers is to convince officers that they have a “credible fear” of persecution in their home countries, and 76 percent meet the criteria. Some applicants for asylum have suspiciously similar stories, using identical phrases. Many simply use the system to enter the United States and then melt into the shadows or gain a work permit while their application is pending.

Perhaps Zakaria’s most honest admission was that “asylum is meant to be granted to a small number of people in extreme circumstances — not as a substitute for the process of immigration itself. Yet the two have gotten mixed up.” Asylum has become a fast way to circumvent traditional immigration procedures which are lengthier and more stringent.

He cites the Atlantic’s David Frum who recently wrote that the concept of “a right to asylum is a relatively recent one” which can trace its beginnings to the early years of the Cold War.

Guilt-ridden over the rejection of many Jewish refugees during World War II, the United Nations created a right of asylum to protect those who were fleeing regimes where they would be killed or imprisoned because of their identity or beliefs. It was intended to help the victims of totalitarian regimes like Hitler’s and Stalin’s. This standard has gotten broader and broader over the years, including threats of gang warfare and domestic violence.

These looser criteria, coupled with the reality that it is a safe way to enter the United States, have made the asylum system easy to abuse. Applications from Hondurans, Guatemalans and Salvadorans have surged even though the murder rate in their countries has been cut in half. More broadly, hundreds of millions of people around the world who live in poor, unstable regions where threats of violence abound could apply for asylum. Do they all have the legal right to enter the United States through a back door, bypassing the normal immigration process?

Trump has tried to tighten the requirements for asylum. He’s also hired more judges and has recently pressured Mexico to help prevent asylum seekers from entering the U.S.

Zakaria agrees with these steps, but says that far more needs to be done. Laws need to be toughened. Loopholes need to be closed. He says, for example, “the loophole that allows applicants to work while their claim is pending has simply created perverse incentives.”

He calls for a “much larger fix.”

The criteria for asylum need to be rewritten and substantially tightened. The number of courts and officials dealing with asylum must be massively expanded. (According to former immigration official David Martin, today’s crisis has its roots in the budgetary cuts of the mid-Obama years, which starved the government of resources to process asylum applicants quickly.) People should not be able to use asylum claims as a way to work in the United States. There needs to be much greater cooperation with the home countries of these applicants rather than insults, threats and aid freezes. No one fix will do it, but we need the kind of sensible bipartisan legislation that has resolved past immigration crises.

Quite an admission from a CNN host. The most important point Zakaria makes is that “sensible bipartisan legislation” is needed. That’s a tall order given the recent hard left turn the Democratic Party has taken.

At last week’s Democratic debate, all 2020 candidates raised their hands when the group was asked which of them supported medical coverage for illegal immigrants. That’s a pretty extreme position. U.S. taxpayers should provide free healthcare to every person who crosses the border illegally? They are encouraging illegal immigration.

The divide between Republicans and Democrats has become so wide, it’s hard to see how compromise is possible.

Zakaria believes that if Democrats continue to “assail the Trump administration for its heartlessness,” and remain unwilling to “address the roots of this genuine crisis,” it will hurt them in 2020. He wrote:

If things continue to spiral downward and America’s southern border seems out of control, Trump’s tough rhetoric and hard-line stands will become increasingly attractive to the public. Keep in mind that the rise of populism in the Western world is almost everywhere tied to fears of growing, out-of-control immigration.

Thank you for that Fareed.

10 Ways to Make a Trump Voter

Andy Ngo Assaulted By Antifa from Harmeet Dhillon on Vimeo.

The 2016 elections made a lot of people look very differently at presidential elections.

But not enough.

President Trump has gone on to not just change the game but change the field, the refs and the audience. The progressive Left has gone back to their old playbook, unaware that their stadium isn’t even half full anymore.

Instead of winning back regretful voters, the Democrats and their allies seem to be – almost unbelievably – creating more Trump voters for 2020.

So, in case the Democrat party needs more help adding new pages to that old playbook, here is a list of 10 surefire ways to create a new Trump voter in 2020.

1.Complain about how trump will never concede the election then when he wins refuse to concede the election. Then unironically complain for the next four years that if Trump wins again he will never concede the election.

2.Run with poorly sourced or downright false stories about the President that give people on the fence about Trump a reason to feel confident in disliking him. Then be forced to retract those stories one after another after another until no one believes anything you report on anymore. Push the fence-riders into a begrudging acceptance that perhaps Trump is right about “fake news” and that might mean he’s right about some other things too.

3.Take an immature, dim but proud socialist child and an anti-semite who is possibly an Islamist and refers to the most terrifying attack on American soil in modern times as an event where “some people did some things”  and make them the faces of your party. Assure people that this is the future of the American Left. Make those skeptical of Trump even more skeptical of where the Democrat party is leading the country. Force people to choose between the “We Hate America Wonder Twins” and actual America.

4.Ruin every single great tv show and film with commentary on how awful Trump is and how horrible his voters are and how they are despised. Forget that over half the people you are talking about are your customers. Remind them repeatedly that your tolerance will never extend to them.

5.Dig into the past of every person who gains some kind of popularity. Dig up years-old tweets, high school emails, letters to grandmothers, drunk texts and comedy routines from 1995. Demand an apology and then tell people their apologies will never be enough. Destroy lives and careers forever and then laugh and laugh as you put your pitchforks away for another night. Never think that you’ll be the receiving end of those pitchforks one day.

6.Call black people and women brainwashed race/gender traitors for supporting Trump. Never ask for their genuine thoughts and opinions. Don’t treat them like people. Speak scorn and derision for them out of one side of your mouth while simultaneously preaching about being an ally to women and minorities out to the other side. There’s nothing like an over-confident hypocrite to drive people away from an ideology or group. Just ask anyone who’s ever left the Christian church.

7.Refuse to acknowledge that life in the big city is significantly different than life in flyover country. Keep looking down your nose at people who grow your food and deliver your oil. Tell them they need to accept that coastal sensibilities are American sensibilities. Push them to vote for Trump just to spite your snobby ass.

8.Make colleges and universities a tightly controlled bubble where no competing ideas are allowed to be heard, let alone suggested. Drive out centrist and conservative speakers with physical force. Get in their faces, spit on them, throw water and milkshakes, act like uncontrollable infants and then turn on your own brethren when they dare suggest that such acts are indeed childish and unpersuasive. Watch the college system fold in on itself as it collapses under the weight of its own ideological cowardice.

9.Make one of the most prominent legs of your platform a bizarre and unbending devotion to allowing babies to be killed right up until the very moment before they leave the birth canal. Justify it in the name of health. Ridicule people who feel even a little bit odd about taking such a hardline stance on infanticide. Make their votes a binary choice between literal baby-murder and Donald Trump.

10.Call everyone who disagrees with you a Nazi. All the time. Always. Compare Trump to a man who murdered 6 million Jews and fly giant Trump-baby balloons whenever he visits. Never stop being overdramatic lunatics. Continue to make people feel uncomfortable in watering down the Holocaust, slavery and racism. Abuse the terms constantly. Make Americans numb to your rhetoric.

Follow these steps and you will surely guarantee another Trump victory in 2020. You’re off to a good start!

Kamala Harris’s Ex Willie Brown Rains on Her Parade, Says No Democrat Can Beat Trump at This Stage

With her post-debate poll numbers rising and a large fundraising haul, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) is the perceived winner from last week’s Democratic debate.

But though the praise for her debate performance against frontrunner Joe Biden continues to roll in, an unexpected source is pouring cold water on the celebration: Harris’s ex beau Willie Brown.

Brown penned a column in the aftermath of the second in a series of two Democratic presidential debates last week, and opined that after what he saw, none of the candidates could beat President Trump at this stage of the game:

The first Democratic debates proved one thing: We still don’t have a candidate who can beat Donald Trump.

California Sen. Kamala Harris got all the attention for playing prosecutor in chief, but her case against former Vice President Joe Biden boiled down in some ways to a ringing call for forced school busing. It won’t be too hard for Trump to knock that one out of the park in 2020.

Biden did himself zero favors by telling Harris that he opposed only busing that was ordered by the federal government. It was a weird endorsement of states’ rights and local jurisdictions’ right to segregate schools. That’s the best argument he could marshal against busing little kids miles across town?

[…]

Trump must have enjoyed every moment and every answer, because he now knows he’s looking at a bunch of potential rivals who are still not ready for prime time.

Brown, who is viewed as a kingmaker in California Democratic circles, has made it a habit of insinuating himself into the public debate at inopportune times for Harris ever since she announced her presidential run.

Just a week after she went public with her presidential ambitions earlier this year, Brown published a piece at the SF Chronicle admitting that the two had once dated “more than 20 years ago.” He also noted that some of his actions benefited her politically at the time:

I’ve been peppered with calls from the national media about my “relationship” with Kamala Harris, particularly since it became obvious that she was going to run for president. Most of them, I have not returned.

Yes, we dated. It was more than 20 years ago. Yes, I may have influenced her career by appointing her to two state commissions when I was Assembly speaker.

[…]

And I certainly helped with [Harris’s] first race for district attorney in San Francisco. I have also helped the careers of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Gov. Gavin Newsom, Sen. Dianne Feinstein and a host of other politicians.

Not mentioned in the piece was the fact that Brown was (and still is) married at the time of their relationship, though he and his wife have reportedly been separated for decades.

About a week after that, Brown wrote another column, which more or less stated that the one he wrote about their relationship the week prior probably did not help her nationally.

Harris has done what most in her situation would do in ignoring Brown’s rantings and bloviations. But in the long run, her ex may be the least of Harris’s worries if her opponents finally start gunning for her actual record on the issues.

When Will Race-Baiting Kamala Harris Acknowledge She Is A Descendent Of A Slave Owner?

Well known for backing reparations for slavery, Kamala Harris has yet to acknowledge her own slave-owning, human-trafficking ancestor.

Last week, at the Democratic debate in Miami, Presidential candidate Sen. Kamala [D-CA] stirred up a racial hornet’s nest against former Vice President Joe Biden for his past pandering to segregationist senators decades ago.

“I do not believe you are a racist and I agree with you when you commit yourself to the importance of finding common ground,” Harris said, publicly chastising Biden at last week’s debate, “but it’s personal and it was hurtful to hear you talk about the reputations of two United States Senators who built their reputations and career on the segregation of race in this country.”

Harris’ months-in-the-makingmade-for-TV attack on Biden is largely seen as an attempt to lure black voters away from the Democratic frontrunner and to tarnish his image.

To date, however, no one has asked Harris about her own Jamaican family tree, which reportedly goes back to Jamaican plantation and slave owner Hamilton Brown.

Earlier this year, Harris’ father, Donald J. Harris,  reportedly stated:

“My roots go back, within my lifetime, to my paternal grandmother Miss Chrishy (née Christiana Brown, descendant of Hamilton Brown who is on record as plantation and slave owner and founder of Brown’s Town) and to my maternal grandmother Miss Iris (née Iris Finegan, farmer and educator, from Aenon Town and Inverness, ancestry unknown to me). The Harris name comes from my paternal grandfather Joseph Alexander Harris, land-owner and agricultural ‘produce’ exporter (mostly pimento or all-spice), who died in 1939 one year after I was born and is buried in the church yard of the magnificent Anglican Church which Hamilton Brown built in Brown’s Town (and where, as a child, I learned the catechism, was baptized and confirmed, and served as an acolyte).”

If Kamala Harris’ father’s account of their genealogy is to be believed, Harris’ family tree goes back to Hamilton Brown, one of the more well-known slave owners in Jamaica.

Hamilton Brown (b. 1776, d. 1843) was an Irish rags-to-riches immigrant to Jamaica who became a wealthy sugar plantation owner and founder of Brown’s Town on the British island colony.

  • Big League Politics has obtained the English registers of Brown’s slaves here.

Although slavery was outlawed by Britain in 1833, as a wealthy plantation owner, Hamilton Brown needed laborers to continue working his fields.

At that point, Brown turned to his native Ireland to recruit poor “Irish slaves” with some success.

“The first vessel known to have done so is the James Ray, a brig belonging to a Mr. Hamilton Brown, an extensive property owner, planting attorney, and Member of Assembly for the parish of St. Ann. In December 1835, the brig left Belfast with one hundred and twenty one Irishmen and their families from Ballymoney, County Antrim, and on arrival in Jamaica they were located on estates and pens in Hamilton Brown’s parish. Some of these immigrants certainly absconded from their locations and enlisted in the police, and on one estate about forty of them chased Hamilton Brown and narrowly missed giving him a sound beating. Undaunted, in late 1836 he despatched his brig to lreland once again; it returned with at least one hundred and eighty five lrish for St. Ann.”

Due to a public outcry in Ireland, the practice of recruiting “Irish slaves” ended a few years before Brown’s death in 1843.

That Democratic primary candidate has injected racism as a weapon against her opponent is not at all surprising.

What is surprising, however, is that while Kamala Harris is attempting to portray herself as a victim, she has yet to acknowledge her own slave-owning, human-trafficking ancestor.

2020 presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke (D) campaigns in Charlotte, NC – 4/15/19. Screen grab via ABC News.

Last I checked, illegal immigrants couldn’t vote. I realize Democrats sometimes get confused about that, and apparently Robert “Beto” O’Rourke of Texas is no different than his political California cousins who are known to call illegal immigrants their “constituency.”

According to the Associated Press, O’Rourke made a trip across the the southern border to meet with people from countries like El Salvador and Honduras, and talked about how horrible Trump is for his “cruel and inhumane policies” when it comes to protecting the border:

In his first international trip as a White House hopeful, the former congressman traveled to Ciudad Juarez, across the Rio Grande from his native El Paso, Texas, to meet what his campaign described as “individuals and families directly impacted by Donald Trump’s cruel and inhumane policies.”

A fluent Spanish speaker, O’Rourke met around a table at a shelter with immigrants from El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala, some of whom wept as they told of being denied entry into the U.S. while their asylum claims are processed. Many said they were terrified they’d be sent back to their home countries, where their lives had been threatened because of abusive spouses, street gang violence or drug smugglers.

O’Rourke made his trip as public as possible with both a livestream and a large Twitter thread telling individual stories.

O’Rourke ended by reiterating what he said during the Democratic debate, where he called for an end to metering and the Remain in Mexico policy.

The unfortunate thing for O’Rourke is that his pandering to migrants isn’t likely going to help him with votes here in the states. According to an April NPR/Marist poll, Hispanic approval of Trump came in at a shocking 50 percent approval. Other polls have him at various other numbers such as 45 to 30 percent, but one thing that caught the eyes of those watching the polls is that they aren’t budging.

According to the Washington Examiner, Trump’s positions don’t seem to be driving the Hispanic vote away from him as many on both the left and the right thought:

“He starts in a much better place for reelection than when he launched his 2016 campaign,” said Daniel Garza, a Bush administration veteran who runs the Libre Initiative, a Koch network group that encourages Hispanics to embrace conservative policies. “One would think immigration would be a major anchor for him, but he’s turned it into at least a push,” he said, suggesting his policies would neither harm nor help the president.

That’s quite a turnabout for Garza. Here is what he told the Washington Examiner about Trump in August 2015: “His positions are indefensible. I would actually rise up against him.”

O’Rourke’s race to garner the vote from Hispanics may not work out as well as he thinks. He’s pandering to people who either can’t vote or have already decided to vote Democrat whether they’re Hispanic or not. The latter group is more likely, and trying to sway them away from other primary candidates may help boost O’Rourke’s numbers, but it’s not nearly going to be enough.

As far as Democrat voters are concerned, O’Rourke is yesterday’s news. His campaign has been bringing in abysmal numbers thanks to a sudden lack of interest from Democrat voters that were behind him during his run against Texas Senator Ted Cruz. In fact, his popularity has drastically faded so badly that he barely qualified to take the debate stage.

If O’Rourke’s plan to win over the hearts and minds of those willing to get angry over the migrant crisis, he’s got stiff competition in the form of fellow Texas politician Julian Castro. According to Karen Townsend at Hot Air, O’Rourke is calling for an end to certain policies, but Castro is advocating going all the way to open borders, something O’Rourke isn’t quite there on.

Gaffe-Machine Joe Biden Made A Big Splash In Seattle This Weekend

Joe Biden just can’t seem to help himself. The former vice president spoke at a Pride weekend fundraiser on Saturday in Seattle. According to the Seattle Times, guests had paid a minimum of $1,000 to dine at the home of public relations executive and gay rights activist Roger Nyhus and to meet the candidate.

Biden told the crowd that, as vice president, he was one of the first Obama administration officials to support same-sex marriage. He spoke about how far the country has come in terms of recognizing the rights of the LGBT community.

According to the Seattle Times, Biden said that “just five years ago, it would have been acceptable for a businessman to make “fun of a gay waiter.””

His remark was not received well by guests who called out, “Not in Seattle!”

It wouldn’t have been acceptable anywhere in the U.S. to make fun of a gay waiter five years ago or even fifteen years ago. In fact, why would anyone make fun of a gay waiter anyway?

Afterward he attended a second fundraiser at the home of former Microsoft President Jon Shirley and his wife Kim where guests had paid $2,800 each to attend. The host presented Biden as “the best candidate to beat Donald Trump,” and said he would restore “honor, dignity, compassion and honesty to the White House.”

The Shirleys are known for their fine art collection and their home is filled with paintings and sculptures. Following Shirley’s warm complimentary introduction, Biden said it was “great to be back in this great museum.”

How to win friends and influence people!

Here we are sixteen months out from the election. Biden has had a rough week. He spoke endearingly of his segregationist former colleagues, and Kamala Harris turned those remarks into a  club and used it to bludgeon him during the debate. Those comments, on top of his flip-flop-flip on the Hyde Amendment, just cost him the support of one of his largest fundraisers, San Francisco based lawyer Tom McInerney. According to FiveThirtyEight’s post-debate poll, Biden’s support dropped 10 points after his poor performance. And he just can’t seem to stop himself from making unforced errors.

When Biden was riding high last December, he said “I am a gaffe machine.” In reference to President Trump, he added, “But my God, what a wonderful thing compared to a guy who can’t tell the truth.”

Or maybe not.

Perhaps Biden was correct when, during the debate he said, “My time is up.”

First Post Democratic Debate Poll Results Are In, Harris Up, Biden Down

FiveThirtyEight partnered with Morning Consult to ask likely voters, “Who do you think won?” In order to get an idea of which candidates gained (or lost) support as a result of their debate performances, they asked likely voters who they would vote for before and after each debate. This enabled them to determine where that support came from (or went to). Their results provide a snapshot of where the candidates stood going into the first debate, their position the next morning and where they finished the morning after the second debate.

The results showed that Kamala Harris was the biggest winner from the first round of debates. Elizabeth Warren and Julian Castro saw modest increases in support. Bernie Sanders and Cory Booker performed somewhat well in their debates, although they did not receive significant increases in support.

Joe Biden was the biggest loser.

Here are some of the significant changes by candidate:

Kamala Harris: Gain: 8.7%

Before first debate: 7.9%

After first debate: 6.3%

After second debate: 16.6%

Change in Favorability: +10.7%

Change in Unfavorability: +1.5%

According to FiveThirtyEight statistics, the increase in Harris’ support came from Joe Biden and Elizabeth Warren.

Elizabeth Warren: Gain: 1.8%

Before first debate: 12.6%

After first debate: 18%

After second debate: 14.4%

Change in Favorability: +1%

Change in Unfavorability: -1%

Bernie Sanders: Gain 2.9%

Before first debate: 14.4%

After first debate: 16.4%

After second debate: 17.3%

Change in Favorability: +2%

Change in Unfavorability: -0.1%

Julian Castro: Gain 1%

Before first debate: 0.7%

After first debate: 2.1%

After second debate: 1.7%

Change in Favorability: +18.5%

Change in Unfavorability: +2.4%

Joe Biden: Loss: 10%

Before first debate: 41.5%

After first debate: 35.4%

After second debate: 31.5%

Change in Favorability: -1%

Change in Unfavorability: +3%

Pete Buttigieg: Loss: 1.9%

Before first debate: 6.7%

After first debate: 4.4%

After second debate: 4.8%

Change in Favorability: +9.4%

Change in Unfavorability: +3.8%

Corey Booker: Loss: 0.2%

Before first debate: 3%

After first debate: 3.9%

After second debate: 2.8%

Change in Favorability: +9.9%

Change in Unfavorability: +1.9%

Beto O’Rourke: Loss: 1.4%

Before first debate: 3.6%

After first debate: 2.8%

After second debate: 2.2%

Change in Favorability: +2.4%

Change in Unfavorability: +6.7%

Many of the lesser known candidates saw an 8-10% increase in their favorability ratings. I would include Corey Booker, Amy Klobuchar, Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, Kirsten Gillibrand, Eric Swalwell, Bill deBlasio, Tim Ryan, Tulsi Gabbard, Jay Inslee, John Delaney, Andrew Yang, John Hickenlooper, Michael Bennet and Marianne Williamson.

Julian Castro increased his favorability by a whopping 18.5%.

Marianne Williamson increased her unfavorability by 16.6%. Next was Andrew Yang by 11%. Eric Swalwell and Michael Bennet each increased their unfavorability by 10.2%, John Hickenlooper by 9.8%, John Delaney by 8.6% and others by lesser amounts.

I agree with comedian and talk show host Bill Maher’s assessment that half of the field should bow out at this point. This would include former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, Colorado Sen. Michael Bennet, former Maryland Rep. John Delaney, Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan, New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, California Rep. Eric Swalwell, spiritual guru Marianne Williamson, tech entrepreneur Andrew Yang, former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke, and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio. My colleague, Alex Parker, posted about this last night here.

I would include Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) in that list, and probably Maher would too, but she happened to be a guest on his program when he was discussing the list.
