Beto O’Rourke’s Campaign Heads to Mexico to Pander to Asylum Seekers

2020 presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke (D) campaigns in Charlotte, NC – 4/15/19. Screen grab via ABC News.

Last I checked, illegal immigrants couldn’t vote. I realize Democrats sometimes get confused about that, and apparently Robert “Beto” O’Rourke of Texas is no different than his political California cousins who are known to call illegal immigrants their “constituency.”

According to the Associated Press, O’Rourke made a trip across the the southern border to meet with people from countries like El Salvador and Honduras, and talked about how horrible Trump is for his “cruel and inhumane policies” when it comes to protecting the border:

In his first international trip as a White House hopeful, the former congressman traveled to Ciudad Juarez, across the Rio Grande from his native El Paso, Texas, to meet what his campaign described as “individuals and families directly impacted by Donald Trump’s cruel and inhumane policies.”

A fluent Spanish speaker, O’Rourke met around a table at a shelter with immigrants from El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala, some of whom wept as they told of being denied entry into the U.S. while their asylum claims are processed. Many said they were terrified they’d be sent back to their home countries, where their lives had been threatened because of abusive spouses, street gang violence or drug smugglers.

O’Rourke made his trip as public as possible with both a livestream and a large Twitter thread telling individual stories.

O’Rourke ended by reiterating what he said during the Democratic debate, where he called for an end to metering and the Remain in Mexico policy.

The unfortunate thing for O’Rourke is that his pandering to migrants isn’t likely going to help him with votes here in the states. According to an April NPR/Marist poll, Hispanic approval of Trump came in at a shocking 50 percent approval. Other polls have him at various other numbers such as 45 to 30 percent, but one thing that caught the eyes of those watching the polls is that they aren’t budging.

According to the Washington Examiner, Trump’s positions don’t seem to be driving the Hispanic vote away from him as many on both the left and the right thought:

“He starts in a much better place for reelection than when he launched his 2016 campaign,” said Daniel Garza, a Bush administration veteran who runs the Libre Initiative, a Koch network group that encourages Hispanics to embrace conservative policies. “One would think immigration would be a major anchor for him, but he’s turned it into at least a push,” he said, suggesting his policies would neither harm nor help the president.

That’s quite a turnabout for Garza. Here is what he told the Washington Examiner about Trump in August 2015: “His positions are indefensible. I would actually rise up against him.”

O’Rourke’s race to garner the vote from Hispanics may not work out as well as he thinks. He’s pandering to people who either can’t vote or have already decided to vote Democrat whether they’re Hispanic or not. The latter group is more likely, and trying to sway them away from other primary candidates may help boost O’Rourke’s numbers, but it’s not nearly going to be enough.

As far as Democrat voters are concerned, O’Rourke is yesterday’s news. His campaign has been bringing in abysmal numbers thanks to a sudden lack of interest from Democrat voters that were behind him during his run against Texas Senator Ted Cruz. In fact, his popularity has drastically faded so badly that he barely qualified to take the debate stage.

If O’Rourke’s plan to win over the hearts and minds of those willing to get angry over the migrant crisis, he’s got stiff competition in the form of fellow Texas politician Julian Castro. According to Karen Townsend at Hot Air, O’Rourke is calling for an end to certain policies, but Castro is advocating going all the way to open borders, something O’Rourke isn’t quite there on.

CNN’s Brian Stelter Edited Out Most Violent Portion of Antifa’s Attack on Andy Ngo

Westlake Legal Group Untitled-4-620x386 CNN’s Brian Stelter Edited Out Most Violent Portion of Antifa’s Attack on Andy Ngo Mainstream Media Liberal Elitism Jack Posobiec Front Page Stories Featured Story Brian Stelter antifa Andy Ngo Allow Media Exception

It’s been widely reported that conservative journalist and Quillette editor Andy Ngo was attacked on Saturday by Antifa. A group of thugs surrounded Ngo, punched his face and head, kicked him, threw “milkshakes” which may have contained wet cement, and sprayed him with what was said to be either pepper spray or bear spray. Ngo had been covering a “Proud Boys” protest in Portland, OR when the assault occurred.

Although the mainstream media has covered this story, they’ve been prefacing tweets and articles with some variation of “though some feel Ngo deserved it.” My colleague, Brandon Morse, posted about this here.

Earlier today, OANN’s Jack Posobiec reported that CNN’s Brian Stelter had edited out the portion of video from the first, and most violent, part of the attack. The second video in Oregon reporter Jim Ryan’s tweet below shows members of Antifa beating up on Ngo.

Please note the difference between the video Stelter presented to his viewers vs. Jack Ryan’s original video which began soon after the assault began.

To his credit, Stelter condemned the violence, although he couldn’t help himself from slipping in a reference “to what Ngo’s critics say.” There’s always the insult, followed by the “but.”

He’s been out there in the past, he has been covering protests in Portland for quite some time. His critics say he’s there to cause trouble, but that’s unacceptable. The idea that he would be attacked, that he would be bloodied in that way: Unacceptable, period. And it’s important that everyone make that clear, even left-wing critics who don’t like him, and things like that.

Still, Stelter did not want his audience to see Antifa activists in action, doing what they do best.

The mainstream media should distance themselves from this group, but instead they provide cover for them.

Although liberals are by no means as radical as Antifa members, they are on the same side of the political spectrum. That’s why it’s not surprising that Stelter would omit the most brutal part of the assault. We might do the same to cover up for a crazy relative.

If you thought that acid attacks were just a thing that Muslim extremists did whenever they found out a woman learned how to read or think for herself in general at all, then I regret to inform you that Antifa has also adopted this extremist’s tool of oppression.

According to Big League Politics, screenshots have become available of one reported Antifa member bragging that “we” have Muriatic acid, as well as water balloons dipped in wax.

“I just want to toss as many balloons of Muriatic acid in the faces as many Proud Boys I can,” said the user going by “Proud On Your Boy.”

It’s not entirely clear if the threats are legitimate, but free speech event co-organizer Enrique Tarrio is taking the threats seriously enough to involve the FBI and DHS. Additional security is now being provided to the event reported BLP.

BLP reported that Muriatic acid by itself isn’t that big of a deal but when added with wax can cause severe injuries, and possibly even death:

According to Tarrio, the threat is especially dangerous due to the use of wax. Muriatic acid can be purchased in virtually any pool store or home improvement store, and is already dangerous on its own with the ability to cause minor burns, but can quickly be washed off with water. By combining the muriatic acid with wax, it will immediately form a film similar to candle wax on the injured person’s skin.

Tarrio explains that this could allow the burn to become severe, and even lead to the wax and acid entering the injured person’s blood stream and causing cardiac arrest.

“It starts with milk shakes, then it escalates to what happened to Andy Ngo, and now they’re threatening us with acid attacks,” Tarrio told Big League Politics. “All because we want to defend free speech in Washington, D.C.”

BLP reported that artwork, along with the the phrase “Proud On Your Boy,” was traced back to Fagan Kuhnmuench, a Rolling Stone and Playboy journalist who has repeatedly demonstrated himself to be sympathetic to Antifa, but Kuhnmeunch denied that he has anything to do with the account threatening DC

The CIA Hits the Panic Button Over Joseph Mifsud as Barr’s Investigation Moves Ahead

Westlake Legal Group central-intelligence-agency-620x428 The CIA Hits the Panic Button Over Joseph Mifsud as Barr’s Investigation Moves Ahead Washington Post steve hall Special Counsel shane harris Politics link campus university joseph mifsud john sipher Government george papadopoulos Front Page Stories Featured Story donald trump claire smith cia Allow Media Exception

With the looming declassification of documents pertaining to the genesis of the Russia hoax investigation, we’re beginning to see traces of anxiety in the intelligence community about what that declassification will reveal. One of the most interesting ones appeared today under the byline shared by the CIA’s go-to guy and James Comey crony at the Washington Post, Shane Harris. This article focuses on the role of Joseph Mifsud in the whole tawdry affair and its purpose seems to be to convince the credulously credulous who bought into the whole silly premise that George Papadopoulos was a go-between for the Trump campaign and Moscow that Mifsud could have been plausibly considered to be a Russian agent of influence if not an outright operative.

This is the background. Joseph Mifsud is a Maltese academic of no particular note. He seems to have served as an assistant to one of Malta’s foreign ministers. He appears in Britain in 2013 in a teaching position at the University of East Anglia (oddly enough it is also ground zero of the climate change fraud being perpetrated on the Western world. His real claim to fame is the role he played in the Mueller investigation:

The narrative as it stands is that George Papadopoulos, a mid-level foreign policy advisor to the Trump campaign, made the acquaintance of Maltese Professor Joseph Mifsud in March 2016 while in Rome. Presenting himself a man with numerous contacts to the Russian government, Mifsud introduced Papadopoulos to a woman he claimed to be Vladimir Putin’s niece (she wasn’t) and a man he claimed was with the Russian Foreign Ministry. In late April, Mifsud informed Papadopoulos that the Russians had “dirt” on Hillary Clinton in the form of “thousands of emails.” The Mueller Report claims that Russian military intelligence (GRU) hacked the Democratic National Committee’s emails in the two weeks prior to Mifsud sharing this information, while others speculate that Mifsud was referencing the over thirty thousand emails deleted on Clinton’s private server while she was Secretary of State. In early May, Papadopoulos, while drinking at a bar, shared this information with Australian diplomat Alexander Downer, who then passed it on to his own government, who then informed U.S. authorities about the illicit connection. The FBI officially opened their probe in late July, while Papadopoulos has since denied he ever discussed the topic with Downer.

Mifsud is a mysterious figure with numerous foreign connections. The Mueller Report mentions his relationships to multiple Russian figures, including a former employee of the Internet Research Agency, but the names and precise details are redacted. Mifsud is also ingrained in Western intelligence. Claire Smith, of the United Kingdom’s Joint Intelligence Committee, worked alongside Mifsud while training Italian security forces. In February 2017 Mifsud was a featured speaker for a meeting of Global Ties, a nonprofit partner of the U.S. State Department. The Maltese professor claimed he was interviewed by the FBI that February while in the United States, a claim the FBI has never verified. In fall 2017, Joseph Mifsud disappeared and his whereabouts have not been confirmed since. The Daily Caller reported in fall 2018 that Mifsud was indeed alive and living somewhere under a false identity.

What has really stuck in the craw of the fluffers for the Russia hoax (and I am not convinced that the loudest voices actually believe the story, just that they know it is important that the story not be decisively debunked) is the fact that Mifsud seems to have much closer connections to Western intelligence than to the Kremlin. In fact, the Mueller report goes out of its way to itemize every possible contact Mifsud had with any rando Russian but steers very clear of saying that Mifsud was under Russian influence or control while trying to imply it. And the only guy to have actually seen all the information, Devin Nunes, has hinted that Mifsud has close ties to State as well as to the CIA, MI6, and Italy’s intelligence apparatus and Nunes was stonewalled by the FBI in his requests to see what they knew about Mifsud.

This counter narrative plus the imperative of bureaucratic ass-covering to deal with the impending declassification seems to have sent the CIA to the Washington Post for cover. This is the thesis.

In Mifsud’s absence, a number of President Trump’s allies and advisers have been floating a provocative theory: that the Maltese professor was a Western intelligence plant.

Seizing on the vacuum of information about him, they have promoted the idea that he was working for the FBI, CIA or possibly British or Italian intelligence, citing exaggerated and at times distorted details about his life.

Officials familiar with U.S. intelligence reports told The Post that Mifsud had been identified by intelligence agencies as a potential Russian agent before he met Papadopoulos, an assessment drawn from reporting collected over several years.

Or in a thread by Harris:

If you want the sum total of the evidence in the Post article, it is found in these paragraphs:

Multiple former intelligence officials in the United States and the United Kingdom said that theory does not make sense.

John Sipher, a former CIA officer who once ran the agency’s Russia operations, called the idea that Mifsud was a CIA asset who set up Papadopoulos “nonsense,” noting that the CIA is not allowed to target Americans.

Steve Hall, who retired in 2015 after 30 years running and managing Russian operations for the CIA, said that in counterintelligence, “you can almost never rule anything out completely.”

But he added that Mifsud’s known activities closely parallel long-standing Russian techniques of targeting academic institutions to spot possible recruits and gather information, making it more likely that Mifsud was working with the Russians than a Western intelligence agency.

“Oftentimes, you can cut through a lot of BS by saying, what makes the most sense here?” he said.

In this case, multiple appears to equal two. Their reasoning is risible. The idea that the CIA wouldn’t loan an asset to the FBI (this appears to have been the case with Stefan Halper as we know McCabe flew to London to meet someone who seems a lot like Halper) is laughable on its face. And we also have the, as yet, unresolved case of who was running Azra Turk who Halper dangled in front of Papadopoulos. While the Russians do target academic institutions, so, too, do Western agencies. The role of professors as “talent spotters” for intelligence agencies, including the CIA, is well established. The 800-lb gorilla in the room that the WaPo elides right past is the fact that Mifsud’s primary academic affiliation is with Link Campus University in Rome. It’s president it a former Italian interior minister, and political and social conservative, and it is rumored, with as much back up proof as anything produced in this WaPo story, to be affiliated with a Western intelligence service. Note the non-denial denial here:

In an interview, Link President Vincenzo Scotti scoffed at the notion that the school is a front for the CIA or other intelligence services. “People say such stupid things,” said Scotti, an Italian politician who served as minister of interior affairs for two years in the early 1990s. “We have no relationships with the CIA.”

But the evidence on the other side of the argument, while also circumstantial, seems much stronger.

Here is a picture of Mifsud standing by a member of the UK Joint Intelligence Committee. Read her bio.

One would note, going back to the comment by Steve Hall, that Smith and Mifsud were both on faculty at University of Stirling at the same time.

How, if Mifsud is a suspected Russian spy, does he show up at these invitation-only affairs. Why was Mifsud casually questioned by the FBI in the lobby of his hotel. How did they treat other foreign nationals Mueller wished to question? Take the case of Mifsud’s attorney and seeming business associate Stephan Roh:

Roh and his co-author Thierry Pastor, who also knows Mifsud, write in the book that, upon arriving in New York City with his family in October 2017, “one of the co-authors” was “fished from the passport control” line at John F. Kennedy airport while his family “was retained with armed police force.” (Photos posted by Roh’s wife on social media in October 2017 suggest she was visiting New York in late October.) He was then interrogated for “hours,” they write, by “a team of Special Counsel Robert Mueller investigating Russia-Gate.” The book alleges that he and his family were then “observed, followed, and taped, at every moment and every place in New York” by the FBI and that his family was assigned to “special rooms at the hotel” while security personnel “patrolled the corridors.”

How about another Mifsud-related figure targeted by Muller, Ivan Timofeev, the Director of Programs at the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC):

Over lunch earlier this year, the book says, Timofeev described being stopped by the FBI at JFK in “mid-2017” and questioned about his relationship with Papadopoulos, the DNC hacks, and about the “thousands of emails with dirt on Hillary Clinton.” His cellphone and laptop were seized, too.

And yet, Mifsud, who we are supposed to believe is a Russian agent of some stripe, gets a friendly sit down in an environment where he could literally leave at anytime or demand the right to an attorney.

Devin Nunes has the best summary:

If Mifsud was a suspected Russian agent, then allowing him the access to the venues where he regularly appeared is a scandal of epic proportions.

The best interpretation of this article is that the CIA knows Mifsud’s exposure as an agent of a Western intelligence agency is going to happen. Then they are going to be left to explain how bogus information fed to Papadopoulos by a friendly intelligence agency was used to bolster the case for a special counsel to investigate a sitting president. There probably isn’t a real good explanation beyond what is here in the article, which is “well, we thought he looked fishy” and hoping that no one notices the very real coincidences that connect Mifsud and friendly intelligence agencies are noticed.

As Red State‘s Bonchie wrote Saturday, Quillette editor and independent journalist Andy Ngo was viciously attacked by a mob of Antifa thugs during a Saturday demonstration in Portland, Oregon.

A brief recap via Fox News:

At least three people were arrested and several others were reported injured, as members of Antifa and other leftist groups clashed with members of the Proud Boys and other conservatives around downtown Portland, Ore., on Saturday, police said.

One of those injured was Andy Ngo, a conservative writer who appeared to have been attacked by Antifa members, the Oregonian reported. Ngo later posted a photo of himself from a hospital, with bruises, cuts and scratches on his face.

Some of the demonstrators turned violent, throwing milkshakes said to be mixed with quick-drying cement, raw eggs and pepper spray. The gatherings were deemed “civil disturbance and unlawful assembly” by the Portland Police Bureau and the perpetrators were believed to include members of both sides.

Ngo, who is well-known for documenting Antifa violence and questioning mainstream media standards, was unfortunately badly injured in the attacks, which Twitchy documented here.

Fortunately, per Ngo’s attorneys, he has been cleared to leave the hospital and will share his full story soon:

In the midst of all the back and forth over the weekend about what happened to Ngo and others on the ground who were at the demonstration to capture Antifa’s violence on video, several Twitter users started posting flashbacks to when broadcast journalists and their liberal guests defended Antifa’s thuggish tactics. In some cases, Antifa was compared to WWII heroes who stormed the Normandy beaches.

In response, Tom Elliott posted a video montage of mainstream media reporters and liberal commentators rushing to stand up for Antifa:

Nick Fondacaro from Newsbusters also posted a lengthy Twitter thread recapping the numerous instances of journalists and their liberal guests defending Antifa’s militant tactics. Here are just a few of his many tweets on the issue:

Read the full thread unrolled here.

Keep all of this in mind the next time mainstream media types and Democrats try to lecture you about how we must restore civility in the public discourse.

After the violent assault by Antifa on reporter Andy Ngo, the domestic terrorist group supported by many a leftist became the topic of conversation. It’s fair to say that they weren’t discussed kindly.

True to form, the leftist media immediately began running defense on Twitter as the Daily Caller highlighted, starting with Alheli Picazo who said Ngo’s attackers deserve to be praised for their violence because Ngo was somehow asking for it.

Founder of Bernard Media, Nathan Bernard, acted like Ngo was getting something he wished for and complained that “far-right simpletons” would make this an issue for weeks.

In another tweet, Bernard suggested Ngo knew he was going to be attacked and as a result became wealthy off of it.

Charlie Warzel of the New York Times said that violence shouldn’t be acceptable, but that Ngo was essentially provoking them into violence just by being there. He suggested that this is what Ngo wanted and that this attack on him can now be used as fuel for the culture war.

Guardian writer Jason Wilson penned a report about the “left-wing marches” and mentioned Antifa’s attack on Ngo, mentioning that Ngo was hit with milkshakes and that police claim “without evidence” that they contained quick drying cement. It does mention the attack Ngo underwent by Antifa, but quickly shifts gears to note that the right is now giving him money.

Wilson does not mention Antifa once:

Milkshakes, recently used around the world as a symbolic weapon against prominent figures on the far right, became a theme of the day. Portland police claimed without offering evidence that some milkshake cups had been filled with quick-drying cement.

Actual milkshakes were used by leftwing protesters. A videographer and editor for the rightwing magazine Quillette, Andy Ngo, had one dumped on him early in the day.

Another incident involving Ngo captured attention, particularly on the right. Widely shared video taken by the Oregonian journalist Jim Ryan appeared to show Ngo being hit by counter-protesters and sprayed with silly string. Ryan tweeted: “Didn’t see how this started, but Ngo got roughed up.”

Ngo said he had been attacked and hospitalised, and posted to social media pictures of apparent facial abrasions. With significant backing from rightwing media and political figures, by late Saturday a crowdfunding website for Ngo had raised more than $60,000.

It should be noted that Wilson’s name recently appeared in a study conducted by Eoin Lenihan than showed the Twitter connections of various journalists to Antifa. According to Lenihan, who wrote about the story at Quillette, Wilson has a history of being embedded in Antifa protests and has penned various pro-Antifa articles.

It’s odd that the left’s army of journalists can nod and pump their fist along with claims that “free speech” is violence and scream that the very notion of blaming the victim when it comes to sexual assault and rape is a grave sin unworthy of modern society.

Yet a reporter being beaten up and having his equipment stolen from him is apparently justifiable because he was somehow asking for it by being there. The rage suddenly disappears from mainstream reporters that a person not doing anything but recording the events had violence visited upon him despite the fact that they clutch their pearls and claim violence will come from someone like President Donald Trump calling the press the enemy of the people.

In truth, this is a very big deal. It shows us just how far the left will go in order to push a 1984-esque environment on the population.

It shouldn’t matter if Ngo is in opposition to Antifa. He has a right to be there just like anybody else does in a public space. If they have a problem with his stances, then they should be able to debate or handle the situation like civilized adults.

Antifa doesn’t. They can’t. Mainstream reporters don’t seem to care, or worse, sympathize.

Leftists More Easily Manipulated by TV and Film According to New Survey

There’s a reason Hollywood celebrities continue to make cringe-worthy PSA’s and it’s because they have a high success rate of changing the minds of those who lean left.

According to a survey done by Morning Consult and The Hollywood Reporter, those who lean left are more easily susceptible to suggestions by the things they see in hear on the silver screen or what they see on their home screens as reported by the Daily Wire:

The survey asked: “To what extent has your opinion about racism been changed by a docuseries, movie, or TV show like ‘Green Book’ or ‘Crash’?”

17% of Democrats and 4% of Republicans responded with “a lot,” in contrast with 10% of all persons surveyed.

The survey asked: “To what extent has your opinion about sexism been changed by a docuseries, movie, or TV show like ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ or ‘A League of Their Own’?”

14% of Democrats and 5% of Republicans responded with “a lot,” in contrast with 10% of all persons surveyed.

The survey asked: “To what extent has your opinion about LGBTQ people been changed by a docuseries, movie, or TV show like ‘Brokeback Mountain’ or ‘Modern Family’?”

15% of Democrats and 5% of Republicans responded with “a lot,” in contrast with 10% of all persons surveyed.

The survey asked: “To what extent has your opinion about climate change been changed by a docuseries, movie, or TV show like ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ or ‘Planet Earth’?”

The difference was more stark on this question. 27% of Democrats and 7% of Republicans responded with “a lot,” in contrast with 18% of all persons surveyed.

The differences remain pretty static until the question about how things seen on the screen effect environment.

The study doesn’t go into why this may be, but if I were to throw a theory out, it’s one of two things. Either those who lean Republican are naturally more inclined to be less lead by things they often understand to be fiction, or — and this is more likely — Republicans and those who lean right have been trained over time to not believe what the mainstream media pumps out.

Since the right is often maliciously targeted by the media, and many documentaries are geared toward pushing a leftist narrative than an accurate one, the right has become wary of media manipulation. Especially in the age of the internet where proof of media falsehoods are just a click away, the right tends to immediately disbelieve or withhold judgement on what’s presented to them, while the left is ready to have its biases confirmed once the mainstream presents their own beliefs back to them.

I say the latter is more accurate because no one is immune to confirmation bias, but in the age when the left is in firm control over the mainstream media, it’s much easier for those on the right to be tougher nuts to crack in terms of manipulation.

Amid the stunning incivility, journalist Andy Ngo was beaten up by masked members of violent, left-wing pro-fascism groups.

Purportedly, he suffered a brain bleed among other afflictions.

It’s unclear whether the three taken into custody were involved in Andy’s assault.

All three are in their early 20’s, according to Oregon’s Fox12.

Gage Halupowski, 23, was charged with 2nd-degree assault on a public safety officer.

James K. Stocks, 21, was charged with harassment.

Maria C. Dehart, 23, was charged with 2nd-degree disorderly conduct and harassment.

Someone needs to be arrested and charged with more than that, for what they did to Andy. See for yourself (but beware the explicit language):

Among attendees at the rally were Rose City Antifa and the Democratic Socialists of America of Portland.

Curiously, there was another National Socialists group in the 30’s and ’40s. They had a particular attitude toward civility: They weren’t for it.

The Portland dustup occurred during a “Him Too” rally, officially intended to support male sexual assault victims and men falsely accused.

From Fox12:

Police said officers had been hit with eggs and milkshakes. They also reported that “violent assaults” had taken place. Police said there were reports of pepper spray and bear spray used by people in the crowd.

Sounds like a really great place to be.

One of the most embarrassing things about pro-fascism Antifa is their terrible need of a dictionary. Hence, Andy back in November as well:

“I was assaulted by a mob of masked individuals in black. They also targeted my equipment. They called me a fascist & Islamophobe. They said my parents & grandparents would be ashamed of me. It feels surreal to be treated this way by people who don’t even know me.”

But they’re not the only ones who could use a visit from their Uncle Noah Webster; Don Lemon‘s in need as well:

These displays of idiocy hosted by spastic morons in black masks who don’t know the definitions of essential terms are in dire need of having their buds nipped.

Hopefully, justice will find its way to Saturday’s insanity — with regard to those who were arrested, as well as to any who should be.

Although it has been two weeks since Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s absurd comparison of border detention centers to Nazi concentration camps during an Instagram Live video, some Holocaust survivors and experts are still not done with the freshman Congresswoman.

The New York Post reported on Saturday about comments made by 93-year-old Holocaust survivor Ed Mosberg in response to AOC’s refusal to apologize for her remarks:

“She should be removed from Congress. She’s spreading anti-Semitism, hatred and stupidity,” Mosberg told The Post. “The people on the border aren’t forced to be there — they go there on their own will. If someone doesn’t know the difference, either they’re playing stupid or they just don’t care.”

[…]

Mosberg, who lost his entire family during the Holocaust and himself survived both the Plaszów and Mauthausen camps, said: “Her statement is evil. It hurts a lot of people. At the concentration camp, we were not free. We were forced there by the Germans who executed and murdered people — there’s no way you can compare.”

Mosberg was also offended by AOC declining to accept the invitation from his “From the Depths” Holocaust education group to visit Auschwitz:

“She should be taught a lesson,” he said. “If you’re not there, you will never know what happened. She doesn’t want to learn — she’s looking for excuses. I would like to nominate her for the Nobel Prize in stupidity.”

‘Nuff said.
