David Bossie: Russia collusion — these new probes of hoax will provide answers Americans deserve

The sad chapter of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s failed Russia investigation has been over for more than a year, but only now are Americans starting to get a fuller picture of what went on. The partisan witch hunt that we all saw unfold was a disgrace to our country and the chickens are now coming home to roost.

When a failed coup against the president takes place, questions must be asked and there must accountability. Remember that scores of Democrat politicians, journalists and deep state actors guaranteed a slam dunk case of Russian collusion against President Trump and his campaign.

When the Senate returns in June, Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., will hold a vote to authorize subpoenas for individuals I call “Obamagate’s Most Wanted” – those involved in the FBI’s infamous Russia hoax investigation. Graham’s comprehensive witness list includes fired FBI Director James Comey, former Director of Central Intelligence John Brennan, and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.

ANDREW McCARTHY: UNMASKING MICHAEL FLYNN — HERE’S WHAT THE FBI WAS REALLY UP TO

Indeed, most of the cast of characters associated with Obamagate that we’ve been hearing about for years now should be called in to testify about the targeting of Trump and his campaign beginning in July 2016. Tens of millions of Americans want to know about the phony Steele Dossier, the fraudulent FISA warrants, and why the Obama-Biden law enforcement and intelligence agencies were politicized with the goal of destroying candidate and then duly elected president of the United States Donald Trump.

More from Opinion

Two people who are not on the list – former President Barack Obama and former Vice President Joe Biden – shouldn’t rest easy, because the facts must be followed wherever they lead. Thanks to Acting Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell, former National Security Adviser Susan Rice’s recently declassified and highly inflammatory email of Jan. 20, 2017, already puts the ordeal squarely inside Obama’s Oval Office.

Let’s remember the clarion call from the likes of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and disgraced Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., that no one is above the law, not even the president of the United States. By definition, this means that former presidents and vice presidents are also subject to the laws of the United States.

The American people are tired of double standards and the two sets of rules we’ve all seen on display for so long. Obama and Biden must not receive any preferential treatment, period. The disgraceful targeting of former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn is a prime example of a member of the Trump team being held to a different standard than Obama and Clinton associates.

In years past, the mainstream media would be having a field day covering all these unfolding stories regardless of politics, but not in the age of Trump.

Despite overwhelming evidence to support the Justice Department’s decision to drop the bogus charges against retired Lt. Gen. Flynn, District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan is apparently allowing politics to get in the way of the rule of law. The situation has gotten so serious that Flynn’s attorney, Sidney Powell, filed a writ of mandamus with the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia last week seeking Sullivan’s removal from the case. If Flynn were on the Obama or Clinton team, Sullivan would have driven a final nail into the coffin of this case long ago.

In addition to Graham’s probe, Senate Homeland Security Committee Chairman Ron Johnson, R-Wis., also held a vote to issue a subpoena for testimony and documents for Blue Star Strategies. Blue Star is a firm that represented the crooked Ukrainian gas company Burisma when Joe Biden’s son Hunter sat on its board of directors.

The former vice president was the Obama administration’s point person on Ukraine when the younger Biden was installed on the scandal-plagued company’s board. This sweetheart arrangement reeks of corruption and Senate Democrats are desperate to keep it covered up. But the time for talk is over; it’s time for answers about this clear conflict that the Obama administration turned a blind eye to.

The ongoing Freedom of Information Act litigation effort of Citizens United – the organization I lead – also bore fruit recently on questions surrounding Burisma and Hunter Biden. We forced the State Department to turn over emails of senior official George Kent that indicate former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch was not telling the truth in her sworn testimony about her knowledge of the Biden-Burisma deal during the Democrat’s sham impeachment last year. A criminal referral should be sent to Attorney General William Barr without delay.

In addition to all these public investigations moving forward, we must not forget that U.S. Attorney John Durham is actively running a criminal investigation into the origins of the crumbled Russia hoax.

In years past, the mainstream media would be having a field day covering all these unfolding stories regardless of politics, but not in the age of Trump. Sadly, wide swaths of the Fourth Estate have chosen sides, and the silence in many cases is deafening.

However, failing to cover these investigations simply because they don’t fit the preferred narrative will not make them go away. Justice is coming.

In April, records from 9/11 mastermind Usama bin Laden’s compound were disclosed detailing his plans to assassinate then-President Barack Obama. Bin Laden’s rationale for his horrific plot was telling: “Biden is totally unprepared for that post, which will lead the U.S. into a crisis.”

Now, a decade since U.S. Special Forces killed bin Laden in Pakistan, it’s my guess that President Xi Jinping of China – our greatest geopolitical foe today – also wants former Vice President Joe Biden to be the next president of the United States. This makes perfect sense when you consider that Xi wants what’s best for China.

Joe Biden has been wrong on U.S. policy toward China virtually his entire career. In fact, Biden and other establishment politicians in Washington have been instrumental in China’s meteoric rise from a developing nation into a Communist power with global ambitions.

SEN. THOM TILLIS: CORONAVIRUS AND CHINA — US RECOVERY INCLUDES HOLDING BEIJING ACCOUNTABLE

For decades, China has executed a foreign policy focused on replacing the United States as the world’s leading economy.

During his time as lead Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Biden gave a floor speech in September 2000 in support of Permanent Normal Trade Relations (PNTR) with China. He said, “Finally, I would like to point out that my support for permanent normal trade relations with China is based not just on an assessment of the economic benefits to the U.S., not just on the prospects for political reform in China, but also on the impact on our national security.”

More on Opinion

Twenty years later, on each of the three prongs he laid out to justify his support for the legislation, it’s clear that Biden was dead wrong.

Statistics show that 3.7 million American jobs have been lost to China since 2001 due to our horrendous anti-U.S. worker policies. Furthermore, China has imprisoned upwards of one million Muslim Uighurs and other minorities in “re-education camps.” It also, according to reports, jailed more than 48 journalists in 2019 alone just for seeking the truth.  And today we face a global pandemic with more than 80,000 Americans dying from COVID-19 because China chose to lie instead of help save lives.

So much for Biden’s promises of economic prosperity, political reform and national security.

About a decade after his pro-PNTR vote, in 2011, Vice President Biden doubled down on his cozy rhetoric toward China in an op-ed he wrote for The New York Times.  Biden shamelessly reiterated his unwise support for the Chinese government, stating, “I remain convinced that a successful China can make our country more prosperous, not less.” He added, “I am convinced, from nearly a dozen hours spent with Vice President Xi Jinping, that China’s leadership agrees.”

Biden is choosing to ignore the fact that President Trump singlehandedly changed the debate and rallied America around his get-tough-on Beijing policy.

Biden, who first visited China in 1979, couldn’t see that the Communist leadership there was playing him for a fool. He closed the editorial by saying, “Some may warn of America’s demise, but I’m not among them. And let me reassure you: based on my time in China, neither are the Chinese.”

Let Biden’s naivety sink in and juxtapose it with President Trump’s actions on China – which show he’s been right from the beginning. You would think that Biden would observe this president’s leadership and success in negotiating with China and change his ways – but you’d be wrong.

Biden is choosing to ignore the fact that President Trump singlehandedly changed the debate and rallied America around his get-tough-on Beijing policy.

Exactly one year ago at a May campaign rally, Biden boasted, “China is going to eat our lunch? Come on, man … they can’t figure out how they’re going to deal with the corruption that exists within the system. I mean, you know, they’re not bad folks, folks. But guess what, they’re not, they’re not competition for us.”

In our current reality, this statement personifies how wrongheaded Biden remains on China.

A typical liberal like Sleepy Joe in the White House would return to failed globalist policies and China would pass the United States as the world’s leading economic superpower and never look back.

A Biden administration would accept the failed status quo at the United Nations that President Trump has called out; a Biden administration would fund the World Health Organization and accept business as usual, and a Biden administration would consent to new job-killing global compacts that would destroy Trump’s policies that prioritize the working men and women in America.

The bottom line is that Biden’s disastrous policies would take us back to the days of economic stagnation.

Trump came into office with the goal of making America great again. It wasn’t some poll-tested slogan that sounded good in speeches – it was a promise to the American people. It was a promise that the failed economy of the Obama-Biden administration, characterized by slow growth and vanishing job opportunities, would not be tolerated.

Upon entering office, President Trump confronted Chinese Communist leaders with his ironclad promise to the American people that he would bring our economy roaring back to life. The idea that America’s time was up and that China was the future simply did not sit well with the president.

Before the coronavirus escaped Wuhan and infected the world, our unemployment rate had dropped to historic lows, stocks had risen to record highs, and millions of new jobs were being created right here in America, thanks to this tremendous president.

China and who can best rebuild our economy will be the dominant issues on Election Day and that’s bad news for Joe Biden. For the last three years, President Trump has proven that he’s the best man to tackle these challenging issues and lead America to peace and prosperity for generations to come.

David Bossie: Trump-hating media should stop covering up Biden sexual assault allegation

For the past five years, the liberal media have waged an unending war against Donald Trump. And as the November election draws closer, they are protecting former Vice President Joe Biden – the presumptive Democratic nominee to run against Trump – by downplaying coverage of a serious allegation that Biden committed sexual assault in 1993.

There are many relevant questions that need to be answered by Sleepy Joe Biden about his fitness for office. But these questions have been largely ignored by the anti-Trump media.

First and foremost is the allegation of sexual assault coming from Biden’s former Senate employee Tara Reade. Reade’s story is credible. Contemporaneous evidence supports her claim.

TARA READE BLASTS HILLARY CLINTON AFTER BIDEN ENDORSEMENT: SHE’S ‘ENABLING A SEXUAL PREDATOR’

Reade’s allegation merits serious investigation by all major news organizations and by law enforcement agencies as well. It shouldn’t be swept under the rug by news organizations eager to defeat President Trump in November – but that’s what’s happening.

More from Opinion

A videotape unearthed Friday shows a woman Reade identifies as her late mother calling in to Larry King’s CNN show in 1993. The caller said her daughter had “problems” with a “prominent senator” but didn’t mention Biden by name or go into details of Reade’s allegations against Biden.

And Fox News reported that “On Monday, two more people – a former neighbor and a former colleague of Reade’s – came forward to back her claims after conversations they had back in the 90s.”

In addition, Reade told Fox News that she was upset by Hillary Clinton’s endorsement of Biden on Tuesday.

“I voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016,” Reade told Fox News. “I voted for her in the primary. I’m a lifelong Democrat. But yet, what I see now is someone enabling a sexual predator and it was my former boss, Joe Biden, who raped me.”

The gentle treatment Biden is getting from the Trump-hating media is a dramatic contrast to the way the same news organizations unfairly brutalized Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, at his Senate confirmation hearing in 2018.

There was no credible evidence to back up an allegation of sexual misconduct by Kavanaugh in high school. But Kavanaugh, who is now a Supreme Court associate justice, was presumed guilty from the start by the liberal media and their Democratic allies. We were told we had to believe his accuser despite the lack of any corroboration of her allegations.

It’s time that Biden answer serious questions about Reade’s allegation. The #MeToo movement should demand it. Furthermore, Biden should simply instruct the University of Delaware, which is storing his Senate records, to release any information it has regarding Reade’s allegation.

Biden must also answer questions about his relationship with the so-called whistleblower from the infamous impeachment witch hunt against President Trump. The American people have a right to know if the whistleblower’s actions were politically motivated.

Reade’s allegation merits serious investigation by all major news organizations and by law enforcement agencies as well.

Biden should also disclose to the public what he knew about the Obama-Biden administration’s Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrants against Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.

Using the FBI to spy on candidate Trump’s presidential campaign is a serious matter and Biden must answer questions.

In addition, the American people deserve to know if Biden had any knowledge of the infamous Crossfire Hurricane investigation and the activities of disgraced former FBI Director James Comey, former CIA Director John Brennan, and phony Russian dossier author and ex-British spy Christopher Steele.

Lastly, Biden must account for his cozy relationship and soft rhetoric regarding the Communist regime in China and his son Hunter’s lucrative business dealings there.

In fact, it’s coming up on the one-year anniversary of this noteworthy statement about China from Joe Biden: “China is going to eat our lunch? Come on, man… They can’t figure out how they’re going to deal with the corruption that exists within the system. I mean, you know, they’re not bad folks, folks. But guess what, they’re not, they’re not competition for us.”

Not only is this claim dangerously incoherent in the Biden tradition, but it’s also dead wrong. The bottom line is that President Trump has been right about China from the beginning and Biden needs to explain why his policy toward China was so detrimental to both our national security and American workers.

The left is so concerned about Biden’s massive vulnerability on China that they’re publishing fake news about President Trump and the Bank of China to try to manufacture a political narrative that doesn’t exist. These attempts to change the subject away from Hunter Biden’s 2013 business trip to China with his father on Air Force Two will fail.

Joe Biden should authorize the release of information relating to his son’s foreign travel on Air Force Two and transcripts of all his phone calls with Chinese government officials.

These stories aren’t going away, and their impact will only grow with each passing day. Blatant media bias will end up being an in-kind contribution to Biden unless the mainstream media change direction and decide to cover the Trump-Biden race fairly. But don’t hold your breath.

The inconvenient truth is that as a candidate and now as commander-in-chief, Donald Trump has had to endure relentless attacks and countless false narratives – not from a legitimate skeptical press corps, but from a delusional left-wing political opposition disguised as journalists.

No president has been treated so unfairly by the mainstream media in our nation’s history.

The mainstream media have always been skewed to the left, but with their coverage of this president they have morphed into something much different.

In fact, the liberal media are losing credibility with the American people because their coverage is so biased and their double-standard so pronounced. When they can’t create news with self-serving questions, they seek to become the news by pulling outrageous stunts.

Take New York Magazine’s Olivia Nuzzi’s juvenile question this week equating coronavirus deaths to our soldiers who died on the battlefield in Vietnam as a prime example.

Instead of asking a serious question, Nuzzi used her time to ask President Trump: “If an American president loses more Americans over the course of six weeks than died in the entirety of the Vietnam War, does he deserve to be re-elected?”

It seems that many reporters are openly engaged with the Democratic Party to defeat President Trump. Their reluctance to ask Biden any probing or inconvenient questions is going to backfire spectacularly.

By not testing Biden now and sharpening him for the onslaught coming this fall, the liberal media are allowing their candidate to remain a dull blade.

If these biased journalists weren’t suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome, they’d realize a public airing of Biden scandals sooner rather than later is helpful.

The 2016 presidential campaign demonstrates that steel sharpens steel. Donald Trump became a better candidate by walking through the primary election fire and was further hardened by becoming the greatest counterpuncher ever during the general election.

The efforts by the Trump-hating media to prop up the weak Biden candidacy will end in spectacular failure when Trump is reelected by the American people, who recognize the extraordinary leadership and successful policies he has brought to the White House.

President Trump is carefully balancing the need to protect the health of the American people in the face of the coronavirus pandemic with the need to put Americans back to work so they are drawing paychecks and so our economy begins booming once again.

The president’s Opening Up America Again plan that he announced Thursday does these things and deserves the support of all Americans, regardless of political party.

The president was right on the mark when he said that each one of our 50 states is facing different circumstances due to the coronavirus pandemic and therefore each state should have its own unique plan for reopening.

DRS. FRIEDEN AND DOOLEY: CORONAVIRUS REOPENING – WE MUST DO THESE 4 THINGS TO AVOID A COVID-19 RESURGENCE

This is straightforward Trumpian common sense. It’s important for Americans to realize that many states are still facing enormous hardships, while many other states have been spared from major outbreaks of COVID-19, the respiratory disease caused by the coronavirus that came to our country from China.

President Trump wisely recognizes that in our vast nation a one-size-fits-all plan managed from the White House will not work. That’s why he has given governors the ability to tailor the reopening to the needs of their individual states and communities within those states. Some states are ready to open quickly; some states still have a long road to hoe.

That means that places like New York City, where hospitalization and death rates are tragically high, will operate under tighter public health restrictions than rural communities where the pandemic has thankfully had a far smaller impact.

More from Opinion

President Trump is a realist. He understands our economy cannot stay closed for years. And he understands that millions of Americans cannot do their jobs from home and support their families by typing on computers and holding videoconferences.

Finding the right balance isn’t easy, and no matter what the president does he will not please everyone – particularly critics ready to attack his every move. But the president understands we can’t go to one extreme by acting as if the coronavirus has disappeared, or go to the other extreme and never leave our homes until efforts to develop a vaccine and effective treatments for COVID-19 succeed.

President Trump’s thoughtful plan – developed in consultation with our nation’s top public health and economic experts – lays out new steps designed to get our political leaders, job creators and workers thinking about responsible ways to methodically start moving back to some semblance of normalcy.

The bottom line is that we must keep our food and medical supply lines operating. We must open our businesses and we must allow our economic engine to crank up in phases – even if it requires wearing masks and gloves and exercising social distancing for months.

These are tough decisions, but it’s not the first time Americans have been asked to muster some resolve in the face of a daunting task.

President Trump’s new benchmarks aimed at starting the process of getting our citizens back to work as soon as possible are measured. responsible and data-driven.

We must open our businesses and we must allow our economic engine to crank up in phases – even if it requires wearing masks and gloves and exercising social distancing for months.

The timing for the rollout of these new benchmarks for reopening comes at the proper time. Due to the hard work of the American people and the best experts in the world, we’ve managed to flatten the curve of the coronavirus pandemic. But many tough days remain.

Headlines in the coming days and weeks indicating that some Midwestern and Western states are moving to reopen parts of their economies would be a source of hope and optimism for states that are still struggling. After more than a month of sacrifice, the American people need some good news that such positive signs would provide.

When Americans hear from their president that as many as 29 states could be moving toward phased reopening in the near future, it provides a shot in the arm to all the heroes across our country working so hard to save lives. They see their sacrifices paying off.

I applaud President Trump for having the courage to move this process forward in a sober and deliberate fashion that prioritizes the health and safety of the American people while kick-starting the world’s greatest economy.

President Trump has been carefully navigating America through this crisis. Just listen to his words. The president said that as we analyze the various models and the number of people who succumb to COVID-19 we must keep in mind that “one person is too many.”

At the same time, the president understands that millions of new jobless claims and the negative impact joblessness has on families, our country and the world over an extended period is also tragic. He knows that most Americans don’t have enough savings for their rent or mortgage payments, grocery bills, utility bills and other vital expenses if their paychecks stop coming in.

There’s nothing in the Opening Up America Again plan that should merit petty criticism from the president’s political adversaries.

In fact, former Vice President Joe Biden should be challenged to embrace President Trump’s science and data-driven road map going forward. We’re all in this together and there’s no place for partisan politics when dealing with a deadly pandemic.

Biden should come out and vow not to make the coronavirus into a political hot potato during the election season. In a time of great uncertainty, the American people want unity from their leaders.

Biden should demonstrate leadership and direct his supporters to take the COVID-19 crisis off the table as a campaign issue.

If Biden wants to offer ideas about how to strike the right balance between mitigation and America’s economic wellbeing, he should do so. But knee jerk, consultant-driven political attacks are an enormous mistake – and a telling one – as the American people size up Biden’s character in the run-up to the November presidential election.

President Trump said Thursday that America is a “uniquely talented” country that can accomplish extraordinarily tough tasks that others cannot. He’s 100 percent correct. The constant reminders of America’s exceptionalism – our patients, our families, our medical professionals, our first responders – are the things that keep our citizens persevering through this shared struggle.

When the going gets tough, the world looks to America for answers and leadership – not anyone else.

On that note, President Trump was right to call the World Health Organization out for missing the boat on the coronavirus months ago and bowing to China’s false claims. This president was right to ask why America is funding the WHO and what the return is on the investment for American taxpayers.

Asking tough questions and holding China and the WHO accountable now will make for a better future for us all. The world must demand to know the truth about the origins of this coronavirus – as evidence mounts suggesting it began in a laboratory in Wuhan, China.

These are the very questions that the United Nations should be demanding answers to without delay. If China vetoes a U.N. Security Council resolution condemning its actions during this crisis that will send a strong message to the world about the behavior of the Communist government in Beijing.

The United Nations must act and demonstrate whether it has the moral integrity necessary to challenge China.

The coronavirus crisis is complex and multifaceted. President Trump has to deal with public health, economic and foreign policy concerns simultaneously, making decisions as conditions change rapidly.

Thanks to the strong leadership of President Trump, America will get through the coronavirus pandemic stronger and more united than before. And the world will know the truth about how this deadly pandemic started.

The presidency of Donald Trump has been a historic one on many levels. Candidate Trump — the ultimate political outsider — defeated a powerful entrenched career politician to capture the White House when no one said it was possible. The president then stormed into Washington and exposed the Russia hoax and a corrupt deep state that spied on his campaign.

And while dealing with relentless attacks from the liberal media, his pro-growth economic policies and supreme confidence in the American worker ushered in one of the greatest economic booms in our nation’s history. Then, being faced with the prospects of heading into an election year with record low unemployment and historic job creation and no positive agenda of their own, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and her lapdog Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., concocted a political tall tale about a routine phone call between President Trump and the president of Ukraine. This shameful impeachment stunt blew up in their faces.

It’s now been nearly five years since Trump came down the golden escalator. Since that day, the biased liberal media made the decision to destroy him. Sadly, that effort continues today with their coverage of Trump’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

TIM GRAHAM: BIDEN SEX ASSAULT ALLEGATIONS VS. KAVANAUGH CHARGES — LIBERAL MEDIA’S HYPOCRISY ON DISPLAY

Now there’s always been bias in the media, but this president has exposed it in a way no one else could have. The liberal media’s hatred for Trump has made it plainly obvious that many so-called journalists who cover him are political activists. This is why the president battles the news media on a daily basis.

The anti-Trump media has turned into the opposition. They attack whatever decision the president makes. This isn’t journalism, and the president is right to criticize what’s become of the once-respected fourth estate.

More from Opinion

Take, for example, the president’s recent comments about his plans to reopen the greatest economy on Earth after the worst of the coronavirus crisis is behind us. The president clearly stated this enormous decision will be made in consultation with state governors. He was immediately attacked by the liberal media for acting like a monarch opposed to states’ rights.

This is Trump Derangement Syndrome at its worst. The president has big-government liberals and left-wing reporters in knots. The same people who usually want power centralized in Washington, now are supporting states’ rights. The larger point is that with every decision Trump makes to combat COVID-19, the media formulates some rationale to oppose the decision, no matter what.

When the president makes his announcement, the biased media will go straight to the same old playbook. Reporters will probably omit that his decision was made in consultation with the experts, the science and the data. They’ll almost certainly ignore the fact that the president wrestled mightily with figuring out the right way to get Americans back to work while guarding against the second wave of coronavirus.

And they definitely won’t give him any credit, regardless of whether he decides on a state-by-state, regional or a national reopening approach. The political hacks covering the decision will attack it either way.

We’re in the midst of a global pandemic not seen in 100 years, and the liberal media still won’t be fair to Trump.

Thankfully, the president has other outlets. He can speak directly to the American people with his press conferences, on social media and through conservative media outlets. The liberal media’s reluctance to cover the president’s daily COVID-19 press conferences is telling. It confirms the press conferences are an extremely effective method of communication for Trump and his adversaries in the media are bitter about it.

But through it all, the American people see through the bias. Whether you voted for him in 2016 or not, you know by now that Trump will outwork the opposition forces in Washington and make the best decision he can for the country and people that he loves so dearly – regardless of party affiliation. This is called leadership.

No one would have guessed that California Gov. Gavin Newsom and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo — let alone New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio — would praise anything Trump did, but it’s happening. The president works for all Americans, not just some.

The liberal media dug itself a deep hole during the Trump presidency. The coverage of coronavirus could have been the moment to stop digging, but the media’s collective stubbornness knows no bounds. Members of the media simply refuse to pull out of their death spiral. We’re in the midst of a global pandemic not seen in 100 years, and the liberal media still won’t be fair to Trump.

The liberal media has a partisan agenda, and Trump is making sure everyone knows it. They despise Trump because he’s winning, and they’re scared to death at the thought of unsteady Sleepy Joe Biden on a debate stage with him come October. The liberal media has tried to destroy this president since 2015 and has failed miserably. With their negative coverage of his response to the COVID-19 crisis, they’ll come up short again. President Trump is rising to the occasion because he’s the greatest game-time player ever.

In promoting national vote-by-mail legislation, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her caucus of radical House Democrats are following the advice of Rahm Emanuel, who famously said while Obama chief of staff, “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. And what I mean by that [is] it’s an opportunity to do things that you think you could not do before.”

Pelosi recently announced that she will try to insert the controversial election measure into the next stimulus package, which is supposed to focus on helping our country overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the midst of this crisis, the American people want our leaders in Washington to combat the coronavirus and plan for an economic recovery. Instead, Democrats plan a crass political move that will not even secure the right of each registered voter to cast his or her vote on Election Day. What it will do is undermine states’ ballot security measures – such as voter ID requirements – in order to lock in future Democrat election victories regardless if they are free, fair and legitimate.

NEWT GINGRICH: CORONAVIRUS – GET READY FOR LIFE AFTER COVID-19. HERE’S WHAT TO DO TODAY

President Trump is right to oppose this attempt liberal to use our national health crisis to rig the 2020 elections.

Voting in person, on Election Day, has been a patriotic American tradition since the beginning of our republic. In recent years, however, states have begun experimenting with alternatives to voting at local polling stations.

More from Opinion

Many have enacted early voting laws, which allow people to vote as many as several weeks before Election Day. They just have to show up at is a prescribed location, show a form of identification to secure a ballot, and then cast a vote right then and there. This process is similar to what was once commonly referred to as “absentee voting.” But traditional absentee voting requires individuals to show cause why they can’t vote in person on Election Day.

A handful of states, including Colorado, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington and Utah, have gone even further, enacting laws that make voting exclusively done by mail.  In those states, all registered voters are sent a ballot in the mail, which they can complete and return via U.S. mail prior to Election Day.

The U.S. Constitution generally gives each state the latitude to set the “times, places and manner” of voting within their jurisdiction. But states do not have  exclusive authority over all aspects of elections. The Constitution also gives Congress the power to override state decision-making and even set uniform national standards when it comes to elections for federal office.

The elimination of voter ID laws, coupled with the enactment of controversial ballot harvesting policies, are longtime goals of the left designed to upend our sacred election process.

The national motor voter registration law is an example of one of the rare instances where Congress has exercised that plenary authority. For the most part, however, Congress has followed the nation’s federalist tradition of allowing states to set their own approaches for conducting elections.

Aside from undercutting over two centuries of tradition and causing lengthy delays in the release of election results, one of the major reasons states have been reluctant to adopt all vote-by-mail is the concern that it lends itself to substantial risk of fraud, voter coercion and other problems, such as lost or mistakenly delivered ballots. Here’s the bottom line: with voting-by-mail, there are simply no means to monitor who is actually marking a ballot and the conditions under which a vote is being cast. The votes of elderly Americans could be especially susceptible to coercion.

CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR OUR OPINION NEWSLETTER

Moreover, fully two-thirds of the states have enacted some sort of voter ID law that requires an individual to show identification in order to obtain a ballot and cast a vote. These laws are viewed by many as the single most effective means of preventing voter fraud. However, a national vote-by-mail law would render those laws largely obsolete because ballots cast by mail cannot be examined to ensure who is actually casting the vote.

The elimination of voter ID laws, coupled with the enactment of controversial ballot harvesting policies, are longtime goals of the left designed to upend our sacred election process. The left wants to win at any cost. Accuracy, legality and fairness appear not to be their concern.

Democrats know full well they can’t pass their radical agenda under normal circumstances because they lack public support. So they wait for a crisis to come along and try to take full advantage of it – with the help of their allies in the anti-Trump media. This time it’s the COVID-19 crisis, and the Democrats are using it to pass nationwide vote-by-mail legislation instead of focusing on defeating this awful virus and planning our recovery in a bipartisan manner.

Everyone should be aware that the goal here is not to ensure that every American who is entitled to vote has a fair opportunity to do so. Instead, the goal is to eviscerate voter ID laws and other state-enacted election security measures in time for this fall’s elections.

If Pelosi manages to pass this legislation in the Democrat-controlled House, it should be dead on arrival in the Senate. As Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has said, the government should first faithfully implement the enormous $2.2 trillion stimulus that was just signed into law by President Trump before moving forward with another one.

David Bossie: After Super Tuesday, socialist Sanders and Biden go to war peddling failed policies

Super Tuesday primary results – where 1,357 delegates were at stake – make it clear that the fight for the Democratic presidential nomination is far from over. It’s going to be a long, nasty, divisive slog all the way to the Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee in July.

With his campaign-salvaging win in the South Carolina primary Saturday, former Vice President Joe Biden has managed to use that momentum to get many of the failed candidates from the Democratic establishment to publicly back him. They are uniting in an attempt to stop the socialist candidacy of far-left Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt.

Biden picked up endorsements Monday from three of his former Democratic opponents in the presidential nomination race: Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota; former South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg; and former Rep. Beto O’Rourke of Texas. Klobuchar and Buttigieg ended their presidential bids this week, while O’Rourke dropped out of the nomination race Nov. 1.

BIDEN SURGES TO VICTORY ACROSS SUPER TUESDAY MAP, AS SANDERS CLAIMS DELEGATE PRIZE IN CALIFORNIA

With primary results still coming in, Fox News projected that Biden was the winner in Massachusetts, Minnesota, Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina, Arkansas, and Oklahoma.

Fox projected Sanders was the winner of the state with the biggest delegate haul – California. He easily won his home state of Vermont and also came out on top in Utah and Colorado.

Texas – the state with the second-largest number of delegates on the line – remains too close to call, as does Maine.

Super Tuesday’s mixed bag of results leave no doubt that the next three months will be an extremely bumpy ride for the Democrats. Both Biden and Sanders are deeply flawed candidates running against an incumbent president with a long list of consequential accomplishments under his belt.

As Biden and Sanders direct their political fire at one another, President Trump will continue to rise above politics and get the job done for the American people.

In the Democratic primaries and caucuses, a candidate needs to win at least 15 percent of the vote in a congressional district or statewide to pick up any delegates to the Democratic National Convention. At this writing, it’s undetermined how many delegates each candidate will get.

More from Opinion

Among the Super Tuesday states, California is the biggest prize by far with 415 pledged delegates at stake, followed by Texas with 228. Next in line is North Carolina with 110, followed by Virginia with 99, Massachusetts with 91, Minnesota with 75, Colorado with 67, Tennessee with 64, Alabama with 52, Oklahoma with 37, Arkansas with 31, Utah with 29, Maine with 24, Vermont with 16, Democrats Abroad with 13 and American Samoa with 6.

The much-hyped Super Tuesday strategy of former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg will go down as the biggest presidential primary campaign failure of all time.

Despite spending upwards of $600 million on his campaign – including an endless barrage of television and digital ads – the doomed Bloomberg experiment couldn’t manage to win a single state Tuesday night. His lone victory in American Samoa puts a fine point on how badly Bloomberg performed on the biggest day of the primary season.

Just how much personal cash Bloomberg will have flushed down the toilet by the time the counting finally ends is anyone’s guess. The Bloomberg blunder is the latest reminder to the anti-Citizens United left that candidates and ideas matter and big money doesn’t buy elections.

President Trump proved this in 2016 with his historic victory over Hillary Clinton despite being outspent nearly 2 to 1 by Clinton and her allied outside groups.

The much-hyped Super Tuesday strategy of former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg will go down as the biggest presidential primary campaign failure of all time.

The Bloomberg campaign’s lasting legacy will be that the American people are too smart to let someone buy their democracy with flashy television commercials.

Bloomberg’s epic meltdown, coupled with Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s monumental failure to prevail anywhere – even in her home state of Massachusetts – means that it’s decision time for these two dying candidacies.

Will Bloomberg the businessman cut his huge losses and drop out to endorse Joe Biden? Will Warren drop out and endorse Sanders in an attempt to become his running mate?

But the big elephant in the room remains Bloomberg’s giant checkbook. Will he use it to help Biden defeat Sanders, or keep spending on his own hopeless candidacy?

And if Sanders becomes the Democratic presidential nominee will he honor his pledge not to accept money from Bloomberg?

Establishment Democrats are desperate to deny socialist Sanders the requisite 1,991 delegates needed to clinch the nomination on the first ballot.

If no candidate hits that number on the first ballot, 771 super delegates – unpledged elected officials, party leaders and former officials – can vote for any candidate they want, regardless of primary results. Once super delegates vote, it will take 2,375 votes to capture the Democratic presidential nomination.

With the Super Tuesday results amounting to essentially a split decision between Biden and Sanders, liberal Washington swamp creatures now have a glimmer of hope in their quest to block the radical Sanders from becoming their nominee.

Contests later this month in the critically important states of Michigan (March 10), and Florida and Ohio (March 17) will become ground zero for the Democratic establishment’s push to rob Sanders of his second party nomination in a row.

While the results of Super Tuesday will certainly provide the Biden campaign with a much-needed shot in the arm, the reality is that Biden is a poor candidate who can barely get out of his own way.

Rarely a day passes without an embarrassing Biden gaffe or misstatement. Because of Biden’s lackluster behavior on the campaign trail, attempting to derail the energy-packed Sanders campaign is a big risk for power brokers within the Democratic establishment.

Biden’s new mantra of imploring people to vote for his record of “results” instead of a dangerous Sanders-led “revolution” deserves examination.

It’s true that Sanders is all talk and no action when it comes to actually getting anything accomplished for the American people during his decades-long career of championing the failed and dangerous socialist ideology.

However, the Obama-Biden record was a total disaster and will be fully dissected by President Trump in the event the Democratic nomination is stolen from Sanders and handed to Biden later this year.

Reviewing the record of the Obama-Biden administration is truly a sad walk down memory lane. If Joe Biden is the Democratic standard-bearer this fall, he’ll finally have to answer the following questions:

Isn’t Sanders’ “Medicare-for-all” proposal an admission that ObamaCare has failed?

How do you explain the Obama-Biden administration’s “Russia reset” failure?

When it comes to creating manufacturing jobs, will you give President Trump the credit he deserves and explain the pessimistic Obama-Biden position that “some of those jobs of the past are just not going come back?”

Will you release the transcripts of your administration’s phone calls with Iranian mullahs concerning the delivery of pallets of cash during negotiations for your failed Iran deal?

What did President Obama mean when he lectured job creators that “you didn’t build that” when discussing their businesses?

While the Democrats continue fighting each other over how far left the party should go and whether it should embrace full-blown socialism, President Trump will continue working for the American people and delivering results.

Tuesday night’s Democratic presidential debate in South Carolina was a pressure-packed fight between seven far-left candidates. It was dominated by efforts to slow front-runner socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders’ charge to the party’s presidential nomination and to stop billionaire Mike Bloomberg from buying the nomination.

Former New York City Mayor Bloomberg, in his just his second debate appearance, failed miserably to bounce back from his epically weak debate performance last week in Nevada.

The hundreds of millions of dollars Bloomberg is spending on television and digital advertising can’t obscure the fact that he’s a disaster on the debate stage and can’t handle the hand-to-hand combat and incoming fire from other candidates.

MARY ANNE MARSH: IN DEMOCRATIC DEBATE, 3 WINNERS AND 4 LOSERS IN A TWO-HOUR STREET FIGHT

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., resumed her role as Bernie Sanders’ chief defender in what looks like a not-so-veiled attempt to be chosen as his vice presidential pick if he is nominated to run against President Trump.

Sanders’ irresponsible $60 trillion in economy-destroying spending proposals – like the lie he calls “Medicare-for-all” – were even too much for the ultra-liberal candidates on the debate stage.

At the same time, billionaire donor Tom Steyer proved himself to be an embarrassment who just bought his way into the debate.

A victory by Sanders, I-Vt., in Saturday’s South Carolina primary would give him critical momentum heading into the 14 states holding primaries on Super Tuesday  March 3.

Recall that in 2016 Sanders lost the South Carolina primary to Hillary Clinton by an eye-popping margin of 74 percent to 26 percent. So a win Saturday would show that Sanders’ radical, high-tax, big-government message is growing in popularity among Democratic primary voters.

After the first three nominating contests in Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada, Sanders is the delegate leader over former South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg by a narrow 45 to 25 margin, but the energy in the race is clearly in Sanders’ corner.

More from Opinion

The overwhelming majority of delegates are yet to be selected. A candidate will need the support of 1,991 delegates to win the Democratic presidential nomination on the first ballot at the party’s national convention this summer. If there is a second ballot in which 771 super delegates can also votes, the minimum needed to win grows to 2,375 delegates.

A total of 54 pledged delegates will be on the line in South Carolina. An enormous 1,357 delegates are in play in the Super Tuesday states of Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont and Virginia, as well as American Samoa and Democrats Abroad.

But with just days to go before Saturday’s first primary in the South, the stakes for the Democrats in their debate Tuesday night couldn’t have been higher.

If former Vice President Joe Biden is unable to defeat Sanders in South Carolina – a state Biden has described as his firewall – his candidacy may be finished.

At the end of the day, Sanders is a washed-up socialist without an innovative idea in his arsenal or any major accomplishment under his belt.

It would then be entirely possible that the Democratic presidential nomination race will come down to two candidates whose loyalty to the Democratic Party is questionable at best.

Sanders, who calls himself a democratic socialist, has run as an independent in Vermont throughout his decades-long political career. Bloomberg was first elected as mayor of New York City in 2001 as a Republican.

Sanders has spent much of his time in the House and later in the Senate attacking establishment Democrats and their policies. Bloomberg once fully embraced the successful policies of his predecessor as mayor, Republican Rudy Giuliani.

However, if Biden – the career Washington politician – is able to pull a rabbit out of his hat and win the first primary in his 33-year quest for the White House, the Democratic race for the nomination would enter into a phase of unprecedented confusion and vicious negative attacks coming from all sides.

In fact, a Biden victory Saturday in South Carolina would open the door to the possibility of five candidates winning at least one state on March 3, since primaries that day will be held in the home states of Warren and Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota.

Winning just one state can provide much-needed oxygen to a candidacy on a downward trajectory. Just ask former Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who stayed in the 2016 Republican primary contest until May even though he only won a single primary – his home state – in March.

If Tuesday’s debate is any indication, Sanders should expect to be relentlessly attacked throughout the long primary season for his kind words about Fidel Castro’s brutal regime in Cuba and the communist empire of the former Soviet Union.

At the end of the day, Sanders is a washed-up socialist without an innovative idea in his arsenal or any major accomplishment under his belt. Other candidates on the debate stage Tuesday night pointed this out, stressing that a president needs to win support in Congress to make change happen – not simply talk about change that never occurs.

But the attacks the Vermont socialist received from his fellow Democrats Tuesday night pale in comparison to what President Trump will do to Sanders and his warped and dangerous ideology if Sanders becomes the Democratic presidential nominee.

Similarly, Bloomberg will continue to be picked apart for his previous support for the stop-and-frisk policy that resulted in many minority men in New York City being searched for weapons; for his controversial nondisclosure agreements concerning his company’s treatment of women; and for big campaign contributions he made to scores of Republican candidates for office over the years.

Moreover, if Biden remains a viable candidate he will receive renewed scrutiny over corruption charges in which he allegedly used his high office to help enrich members of his family through their shady business dealings in Ukraine, China and elsewhere.

A Democratic primary riddled with chaos is a dream come true for President Trump. The president stands as the leader of a unified Republican Party and can take credit for policies that have created a booming economy and record-low unemployment rates.

The president will continue raising money and adding to his monumental list of accomplishments throughout the spring as Democratic candidates still in the race inflict deep political wounds on each other that will be tough to recover from.

President Trump – the ultimate political outsider – was once again the winner in Tuesday’s Democratic debate. The president’s optimistic vision for the future and his America First policies are helping all Americans realize their dreams – and the Democratic presidential wannabees have absolutely no answer for the successes Trump has achieved.

The 2020 Democratic presidential primary contest is a slow-motion train wreck.

After almost a year of campaigning – complete with debates, town halls, hundreds of millions of dollars spent on advertising, and a biased media promoting their out-of-the-mainstream agenda – the crew of far-left Democratic presidential candidates remains stuck in mediocrity, with no one able to break out of the pack.

It’s become abundantly clear why the do-nothing Democrats in Congress – led by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California – have been so focused on impeachment hoaxes and never-ending partisan investigations of President Trump. The truth is that they don’t want the public to pay attention to their looming electoral disaster.

DEMOCRACY 2020 DIGEST: BLOOMBERG’S POLL NUMBERS SOAR WITH SPENDING SURGE

The muddled results for Democrats from the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary earlier this month have only made matters worse. In fact, the situation has gone from bad to horrific.

The winners of the first two Democratic nominating contests are Pete Buttigieg, a 38-year old former mayor of a small Indiana city of 100,000, and Sen. Bernie Sanders, a socialist career politician from Vermont – a state with a population of about 620,000.

More from Opinion

Buttigieg and Sanders won by slim and unconvincing margins. The Democratic Party’s earlier supposed front-runner – former Vice President Joe Biden – can barely string together a coherent sentence and has been exposed as a corrupt swamp creature.

The fading campaign of Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts is taking on water and sinking fast. Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, the surprise third-place finisher in New Hampshire, is a totally unspectacular backbencher.

Due to this incredibly weak field of candidates, establishment Democrats are frantically trying to get their primary voters to give former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg a serious look.

Mini Mike – as President Trump has aptly nicknamed him – represents everything the left despises. Bloomberg is a billionaire – 60 times over – who is trying to buy the 2020 election and drown out the voices of everyday Americans.

Bloomberg governed as “Mayor Stop and Frisk” and even voiced support for throwing kids up against the wall to find out if they’re carrying guns.

And in today’s news cycle that’s dominated by stories concerning the #MeToo movement, Bloomberg has garnered his own troubling headlines such as this one from the Washington Post last weekend: “Mike Bloomberg for years has battled women’s allegations of profane, sexist comments.”

Besides this damning reality, on the campaign trail Bloomberg displays all the attributes of a subpar candidate who is better suited for the Upper East Side of Manhattan. He’s a hopelessly out of touch, thoroughly unlikable, small in stature, uninspiring poll-driven phony.

A day doesn’t go by without a story about Bloomberg either insulting some group, such as farmers, or remarking that African-American and Hispanic men “don’t know how to behave in the workplace.”

Bloomberg, who served as mayor of New York City from 2001 to 2013, is currently running for president as a liberal gun-grabbing, job-killing climate change-fighting evangelist.

But not so long ago, the same Mike Bloomberg supported the Iraq War, hosted President George W. Bush and the Republicans for the 2004 national convention at Madison Square Garden, and donated “$950,000 to Republican campaigns and political action committees,” according to The New York Times.

How must unhinged radical Democratic Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, and Ilhan Omar of Minnesota feel about a potential party standard-bearer who’s supported financially over the years the likes of Republicans Mitt Romney, Fred Thompson, George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, Orrin Hatch, and Rudy Giuliani?

Bloomberg is the consummate political opportunist. Just as he’s using the policies of Ocasio-Cortez to mount a 2020 presidential run as a Democrat, he used the playbook of Rudy Giuliani in order to become elected as the Republican mayor of New York City in 2001 as Giuliani’s successor.

Just as there would be no President George H. W. Bush without Ronald Reagan’s eight years of peace and prosperity in the White House, there would be no Mayor Michael Bloomberg without him embracing Giuliani’s heroic eight-year turnaround of New York City from 1993 to 2001.

The juxtaposition of President Trump with Bloomberg is a dream come true for Republicans. Trump is the ultimate political outsider and genuine article, while Bloomberg is a poll-tested and calculating fake.

Add in the booming Trump economy and historic low unemployment rates across the board and it doesn’t take a genius to understand why the Democratic brain trust is jittery.

These are desperate times for Democratic elites. Their allies in the Trump-hating media are showing it. Should they embrace Bloomberg’s buckets of cash or destroy him as they did Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn.?

Trump Derangement Syndrome causes those afflicted to abandon all principles in exchange for political expediency. So the question is, how low will these leftists sink to find someone to try and stop the candidacy of Sanders the socialist firebrand? Just look at what they were willing to do in the case of disgraced lawyer and convicted felon Michael Avenatti.

If Bloomberg survives his first debate on Wednesday night in Las Vegas, there’s a distinct possibility that five candidates could walk away with at least one primary win on Super Tuesday March 3. With 14 states voting that day, a fractured outcome such as this would throw the Democratic presidential nomination race president into turmoil not seen since the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago.

There’s a real chance no candidate will arrive in Milwaukee for the Democratic National Convention this summer with the number of delegates needed to become the party’s presidential nominee on the first ballot.

If Democrats steal the nomination from Sanders and throw it to Bloomberg on the second ballot – along with his billions and his baggage – how will they convince Sanders supporters to stay on board in the wake of what unfolded in 2016 with Hillary Clinton and the Democrat National Committee colluding against Sanders?

To anyone paying close attention, this is fast becoming an impossible proposition. In fact, it’s much more likely that the legions of Bernie Sanders supporters either stay at home or find a third-party candidate to rally behind.

Stay tuned – things are about to get very interesting.

Results of Tuesday’s New Hampshire Democratic primary provide little clarity in the crowded race for the party’s presidential nomination that is being dominated by socialism, chaos and a pathetic field of left-wing candidates.

Fox News projected that career politician and socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont was the narrow winner of the primary. Former South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg came in a strong second, followed by Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota in third place.

Darkhorse candidates Andrew Yang and Sen. Michael Bennet of Colorado dropped out of the race Tuesday night after poor performances in New Hampshire and in the Iowa caucuses last week, but nine Democrats remain in the nomination battle, preventing any one candidate from garnering a majority of the primary votes.

SANDERS EDGES OUT BUTTIGIEG TO WIN NEW HAMPSHIRE, AS KLOBUCHAR SURGES TO THIRD

Sanders’ victory tells us he is gaining momentum among a small plurality of Democratic primary and caucus voters in the opening rounds of the competition to become the Democratic nominee who will run against President Trump in November.

With 86 percent of precincts reporting, Sanders had close to 26 percent of the vote in the New Hampshire Democratic primary – a far cry from the 60 percent he received when he defeated Hillary Clinton in the Granite State in 2016. Buttigieg had just over 24 percent and Klobuchar had almost 20 percent.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and former Vice President Joe Biden trailed far back in fourth and fifth place. Neither Warren nor Biden could reach 10 percent of the vote – far below what had been expected of them early in the nomination race. No other candidate could reach even 4 percent.

Tuesday’s results indicate that the badly splintered Democrats should be concerned about their sluggish voter turnout to date and their deep divisions.

Buttigieg’s razor-thin victory in the delegate count in the Iowa caucuses last week (if you trust the Democrats counting the votes), coupled with his strong showing in New Hampshire certainly makes for good campaign talking points, but should not be misconstrued. While he came close to winning in New Hampshire, he still wound up with the silver medal.

Until last month, 38-year old former Indiana mayor was in charge of a city with a population of only about 100,000. While Buttigieg has demonstrated over the past year that he’s capable of delivering a canned stump speech and raising money, he’s far from a political phenomenon. In fact, when you consider his scant record of accomplishment, he’s mediocre at best.

It’s only the historically weak Democratic field this year that allows a candidate like Buttigieg to gain oxygen. How would Buttigieg have fared in Democratic primary fields from the past like the ones that consisted of Vice President Al Gore and Sen. Bill Bradley of New Jersey in 2000, or Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts and Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina in 2004, or Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois and Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York in 2008? I think everyone knows the answer to that – including Pete Buttigieg.

Klobuchar beat expectations in the primary with her third-place finish, beating both Warren and Biden by a wide margin.

Warren’s distant fourth-place finish will likely spell an early doom for the candidacy of the leftist former Harvard professor.

Klobuchar, first elected to the Senate in 2006, is a prototypical liberal backbencher who has done nothing of significance on the national stage. She is perhaps best known for the episode when she apparently ate a salad with a comb on an airplane due to a forgotten plastic fork and had a staffer wash the comb after the meal.

The New York Times report on this bizarre tale had staff members describing Klobuchar’s treatment of her employees as “dehumanizing.” Likeability still matters in politics and that could spell big trouble for Klobuchar as rival Democratic campaigns start their in-depth opposition research of her past.

The oxygen for Buttigieg and Klobuchar is being provided in large part by the monumental implosion of Biden’s campaign. In just a matter of weeks, Biden has gone from experienced frontrunner to washed-up has-been.

For the third time since 1988, Biden has proven – in sleepy and at times disturbing fashion – that he doesn’t have what it takes to become president. It appears he will continue on to run in nominating contests in Nevada and South Carolina at the end of the month, but his campaign is flat-lining and everyone knows it.

When the Biden candidacy soon to be over, he and his son Hunter should get their stories straight about their corrupt antics in Ukraine before they go talk to investigators in the U.S. Senate.

These are desperate times for the Democrats, as they see President Trump’s approval rating in polls tick upward and his campaign raise record amounts of money in the process of building an extraordinary 50-state organization.

Democrats are so anxious about the November elections that they are taking a look at the hopelessly out-of-touch and completely uninspiring former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg to pick up their drooping flag.

Former Republican Bloomberg is the consummate political opportunist and a phony. He was an ardent supporter of “stop and frisk” policing until he decided he was going to run for president as a liberal in the mold of current New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio.

Bloomberg’s contrived left-wing proposals are as stale and tired as the man himself. The only thing “Mike will get done” if he is elected – to paraphrase his campaign slogan – is to wreck the booming Trump economy with job-killing tax hikes and overregulation, harming American families.

According to a recent Gallup survey, an impressive 59 percent of Americans say that they are better off financially than that they were a year ago and a staggering 74 percent say they’ll be even better off financially a year from now.

The report, titled “Record-High Optimism on Personal Finances in U.S.,” is proof positive that the Trump economy is booming and that people are feeling it in their pocketbooks, bank accounts, and 401(k)’s.

President Trump’s pro-growth economic policies, working in tandem with his businessman’s mindset, are a welcome combination working wonders for America. Trump is a leader who embodies the promise of vibrant free-market capitalism – the system that has made the American economy the envy of the world once again.

There is dignity in working hard, having a job, paying taxes, and providing for your family. With a record number of Americans employed – including record-low unemployment rates in the African-American, Hispanic, and Asian-American communities – it’s abundantly clear that new opportunities are becoming available to more and more of our citizens every day, whether the anti-Trump media want to acknowledge it or not.

The Trump agenda is optimistic, inclusive and innovative; and it’s working for all Americans across the board. President John F. Kennedy was right when he said that “a rising tide lifts all boats.

It goes without saying that JFK would have been greatly disturbed by today’s Democrats’ embrace of socialism, high taxes, and less freedom. These Democrats are backing policies that would kill jobs, take your health care away, and confiscate your guns as they seek to impose their warped socialist agenda on you and your family.

At the end of the day, Bernie Sanders is all talk and no action. In 2016 a Politico report described Sanders as someone who “rarely forged actual legislation or left a significant imprint on it” in his years in the House and Senate.

The truth is that Sanders is a hardened and angry socialist, too far to the left to compromise with anyone. His four decades in politics have been marked by pessimistic speeches that embrace the policies of some fake utopia that has never existed and never will. The biased liberal media should ask Sanders to provide an example from world history in which socialism didn’t destroy a society.

With the specter of an unabashed socialist becoming the 2020 Democratic nominee for president, things are certainly looking up for supporters of the ultimate political outsider – Donald Trump.

But this is no time for complacency. The coalition of tens of millions of Americans who believe they are better off today than they were four years ago must fight for what they believe until Election Day and then turn out to vote in record numbers to swamp the dangerous socialist uprising once and for all.

President Trump has a hopeful vision for our country and he’s rallying people around that vision. Leadership is a beautiful thing – and the rest of the world has taken notice of the great American comeback.
