Screen grab via WGN News.

As Red State‘s Mike Ford wrote yesterday, in addition to the horrific mass shootings in El Paso, TX and Dayton, OH Saturday and Sunday, Chicago also experienced a mass shooting incident – on top of the other gun violence that plagued city streets over the weekend.

To quickly recap, via NBC 5 Chicago:

Seven people were wounded in a shooting Sunday as they gathered in Douglas Park on the West Side.

At about 1:20 a.m. Sunday, a group was standing in the park in the 2900 block of West Roosevelt Road when someone opened fire from a black Camaro, Chicago police said.

All totaled, 7 people were killed and at least 48 were injured by gun violence in the city of Chicago from Friday night to Sunday:

Chicago’s most violent weekend this year began Friday evening when a 5-year-old boy was shot in the leg while sitting in a car as adults around him argued.

[…]

By Monday morning, 55 people had been shot across the city, seven of them fatally. The victims ranged from 5 to 56 years old, and the shootings stretched from Rogers Park on the North Side to West Pullman on the Far South Side. Nearly all the gun violence happened on the West and South sides.

Watch a short WGN News report on the incidents below:

The week prior, two mothers who worked to rid their communities of gun violence were shot and killed:

Two women involved with a group called Mothers Against Senseless Killings were shot dead Friday on a South Side Chicago block where moms gather to help curb gun violence. Police say they don’t believe the two young mothers were the intended targets.

The deaths of Chantel Grant, 25, and Andrea Stoudemire, 35, in the Englewood neighborhood served as a grim reminder of the kind of violence that led them to participate in neighborhood activities organized by Mothers Against Senseless Killings. The anti-violence group launched five years ago following the shooting death of another young mother at the same corner.

As it turns out, the gang violence was so bad in Chicago over the weekend that one local hospital had to temporarily stop admitting victims:

Chicago’s Mount Sinai Hospital temporarily stopped accepting patients Sunday morning because they were at capacity following a series of shootings, a hospital official said.

The hospital went “on bypass” in the early morning, said Roberta Rakove, Senior VP for External Affairs.

Hospitals use the term “on bypass” when they stop accepting ambulance runs and those ambulances are diverted to other trauma centers. Mount Sinai Hospital is one of five trauma centers in Chicago, according to Rakove.

Chicago had 561 gun murders in 2018, which was down about 100 from the year before. In all, the city had 2,948 shooting victims in 2018.

There are two reasons why people point out Chicago’s gun troubles in the aftermath of mass shootings, and it’s not to minimize what happened to victims of those shootings, or to play “whataboutism” games. It’s:

1) To show Democrats and the national media that even with the strong gun control measures a city like Chicago has in place, violent offenders are still illegally obtaining firearms at alarming rates – with no end in sight.

2) To point out to those same people that if they are serious about tackling gun violence, then they will not just virtue signal about it only when they believe there is a political angle they can take advantage of.

The lives of all victims of gun crime matter, not just the ones liberal politicians and their media enablers believe they can exploit for political gain.

Immediately after news of the El Paso, TX and Dayton, OH shootings broke, the 2020 Democratic candidates, with one exception, led the charge against President Trump.

The exception was Former Secretary of Housing Julian Castro. To his credit, he said that one person is responsible for the El Paso massacre – “the shooter.”

More than a few of the candidates recalled Trump saying that “there were very fine people on both sides” following the August 2017 white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, VA, words which were taken wildly out of context. In fact, that pillar of patriotism, James Comey, said it as well.

Mayor Pete Buttigieg told voters at the Public Service Forum:

White nationalism is evil, and it is inspiring people to commit murder, and it is being condoned at the highest levels of the American government … The president of the United States is condoning white nationalism. … We are the only country in the world with more guns than people. It has not made us safer. We can respect the Second Amendment and not allow it to be a death sentence for thousands of Americans.

Bernie Sanders reacted exactly as one would have expected:

Americans must reject the dangerous and growing culture of bigotry espoused by Trump and his allies. Instead of wasting money putting children in cages, the U.S. needed to address the scourge of violent bigotry and domestic terrorism.

After every tragedy the Senate, intimidated by the NRA’s power, does nothing. This must change. We need a president and congress that listen to Americans, not the ideology of a right-wing extremist organization. We must pass common sense gun safety legislation. …

We must treat this violent racism like the security threat that it is. That means investing in law enforcement resources to combat the growing population of white nationalists who are engaging in violence.

Beto O’Rourke proclaimed that, “He is a racist and he stokes racism in this country … it fundamentally changes the character of this country and it leads to violence.”

Some, including Elizabeth Warren, used it as a fundraising opportunity. After insulting President Trump, she sent out a tweet which said, “Republicans won’t act—because gun lobbyists are signing their checks. We must take back the Senate in 2020…Will you chip in to help elect Democrats to the Senate? Let’s build a grassroots movement to beat back the gun lobby and end gun violence.”

Kirsten Gillibrand, whose shameless pandering seems to grate most of all, said:

This growth in racism and white nationalism over the last two years is because president Trump has literally poured gasoline on a fire that’s been burning a long time. He is someone who has used racist language from the White House, someone who has used racist language in his tweets and someone whose rally inspired violence across the country…Mitch McConnell should call the Senate back to Washington today to pass common sense gun reform.

Frontrunner Joe Biden offered the standard words that are always uttered by Democrats after a shooting. “This is beyond anything that we should be tolerating…We can beat the NRA. We can beat the gun manufacturers.”

All of them were long on rhetoric, but short on answers. Their only solution is a generic call for stricter gun control. But I have two questions for them. First, which of their proposals, past or present, do they believe would have stopped either of these shooters from acting?

Second, according to Wikipedia, 66 mass shootings took place during Obama’s presidency. Why was he never blamed for those attacks?

Should we conduct more comprehensive background checks? Surprisingly, neither shooter in this weekend’s attacks had a substantial criminal record.

Would we see fewer mass shootings if we banned assault weapons?

Should we round up all of the guns from law-abiding citizens?

Kamala Harris seems to think that’s a good idea. The Washington Examiner tweeted that she’s “willing to send cops to people’s homes to confiscate banned firearms.” A twitter user responded, “Alternate headline: Kamala Harris willing to ignore the 4th Amendment in order to violate the 2nd.”

Harris’ remedy sounds just like Eric Swalwell, who dropped out of the race last month.

Drastic as that sounds, it is precisely what many on the left advocate.

Americans own a huge number of guns. According to Vox, “America has 4.4 percent of the world’s population, but almost half of its civilian-owned guns.”

Realistically, a gun control plan that has any hope of getting us down to European levels of violence is going to mean taking a huge number of guns away from a huge number of gun owners.”

This proposal would leave guns in the hands of the criminals. Additionally, it (almost) goes without saying that any attempt to confiscate “a huge number of guns” from “a huge number of gun owners” would not end well. It’s a completely unreasonable proposal.

I don’t pretend to know what the solution is. Or if there’s a solution. I agree with Julian Castro that the only individuals responsible for the weekend massacres were the shooters themselves.

The 2020 candidates attempts to blame President Trump sound pathetic and lame. We know one thing all of these shooters crave is attention. Yet every time this happens, the media broadcasts their names and photos, giving these psychopaths the recognition they crave.

Democrats seem to relish these shootings because it offers them the opportunity to bash the President once again and to lecture us on liberal principles. Yet none of them provide any workable solutions. Clearly, none of their proposals would have prevented either one of last weekends attacks. Of that, I am sure.

Trump Denounces White Supremacy, Media Responds Exactly As You’d Expect

After the horrific shootings that took place over the weekend, there have been lots of calls for the President to denounce white supremacy. It should be noted he’s done that multiple times over the course of his administration and I’m not sure why someone who’s not a white supremacist is expected to constantly condemn it. It should also be noted that the Dayton shooter was a radical left-wing socialist.

Regardless, I get the urge. Some want to see the most powerful person in the world take to the bully pulpit and let it be known what disgusting pieces of garbage neo-nazis are. The media, eager to continue blaming Trump for shootings he had nothing to do with, were demanding such a denunciation almost immediately after news of the first shooting in El Paso broke.

This morning, Trump gave them what they wanted, not to please them, but because addressing the nation after these events was the right thing to do.

This means the media backed off and acknowledged Trump’s words and direct condemnation of white supremacy, right?

Nah, they responded exactly as you’d expect. Here’s The Washington Post’s Twitter timeline after the address.

Trump avoided talking about white nationalism by…directly talking about the evils of white nationalism? Makes sense.

Here was ABC News complaining that Trump’s speech wasn’t good enough because he didn’t take personal blame.

Many of us saw this coming. There was no doubt that the calls for Trump to speak were never in good faith. In fact, the media were almost certainly hoping he wouldn’t so they could bludgeon him with a lack of action.

In fact, after addressing the nation, the media decided they’d found their next pressure point to jam their fingers into. Namely, that a Trump staffer put the wrong name of the Dayton shooting in the teleprompter.

The transparent hackery of all this is easy for any observer to see. No matter what Trump or Republicans do, it will never be enough. The only thing CNN, et al would have accepted here is Trump blaming the right directly for violence, personally blaming himself, and then endorsing every liberal gun control measure. Even then, maybe not.

This was never about actually caring about victims or being against white supremacy. It was always about politics and power. That means ensuring the right are shamed and silenced, facts need not apply.

And that’s why so many on the right have simply decided to stop playing these games.

As Beto O’Rourke’s Campaign Flails About His Fan Boys Have A Great Idea To Save His Career

While Beto O’Rourke is obviously not going anywhere as a presidential candidate, in fact, each appearance he makes leaves him somewhat diminished. How many people have actually picked up on Beto’s bizarre claim this weekend that President Trump was responsible for the El Paso shooting? No one of significance. As his melts away as a presidential candidate, there is a growing clamor for Beto to abandon the presidential race and make another run at the Texas senator seat.

The reason they are doing this is that they invested a lot of personal capital, though anyone who outs themselves watching anime tentacle porn doesn’t have very much to begin with. If Beto gets beaten like a rented mule in the primary, his political career is over. If he goes off to Texas and runs against John Cornyn, then they can point to Brave Sir Beto’s feisty nature. As Mr. Tentacle Porn says, his very presence, the very essence of Beto, in the race will bring voters out of the woodwork.

Charitably, this is horsesh**.

John Cornyn is a fairly well liked political figure in Texas. Ted Cruz is…umm…polarizing. At identical points in the election cycle, Cornyn is

Strongly approve–14
Approve–23
Meh–17
Strongly disapprove–11
Disapprove–23
Who dis–12

He’s won his last two elections by 28 (2014) and 12 (2008) points.

Contrast with Ted Cruz.

Strongly approve–21
Approve–18
Meh–13
Strongly disapprove–33
Disapprove–8
Who dis–7

The people who disliked Cruz, really, really disliked him. And there were a lot of those. Cruz was underwater in favorability. He won his first election by 4 points. And he still beat Beto by 2 in an off year election.

This is how the Star-Telegram describes the possibility:

But here’s a reality check: The idea that O’Rourke could defeat Cornyn in Texas in a presidential election year is preposterous.

He raised a historic $80 million dollars for the race against Cruz, aided by the influx of Hollywood celebrities endorsing him — and he still lost.

O’Rourke will simply not be able to replicate this level of funding or the advantageous political environment from the last cycle.

Cornyn has the benefit of having watched the Cruz-O’Rourke race closely. He will not be caught off guard. To Cornyn’s credit, he already has a massive fundraising war chest of more than $7 million.

History is also on his side: Cornyn has won five statewide races in Texas and has never lost a campaign.

Unlike Cruz’s position, Cornyn also enjoys high favorable numbers in Texas, with recent polling showing 44 percent of voters see him favorably, while 33 percent do not. Meanwhile, 40 percent view Beto very unfavorably, with only 22 percent viewing him very favorably.

Plus he will be running in a presidential election year so he can’t rely on complacent Republicans to stay home.

Personally, I’d love to see him run against Cornyn. He’d certainly pull a lot of money and attention away from the Democrat and he’ll get his clock cleaned in November.

I’m sorry to break the news to these people but their child-god, Beto, is pretty much finished as a political force. His best chance was against Ted Cruz. He blew that. He has no chance to win the presidential nomination and less of beating Cornyn. He’ll stagger along crippled for another election or two but O’Rourke is finished on the national stage.

Mainstream Media Figures Shamefully Dog Pile Onto Dana Loesch in Wake of Mass Shootings

Anytime a shooting that the media wants to pay attention to occurs — Chicago and Dayton are quickly being forgotten about — many people on the left immediately log onto Twitter and head straight for Dana Loesch.

Dana Loesch is arguably the most famous gun rights advocate in America. As such, everyone from your average keyboard warrior to mainstream media figures will begin attacking Loesch for no better reason than being a woman who people can recognize in relation to guns.

Naturally, after the El Paso shooting occurred, Loesch became the focal point of a lot of people’s hatred and anger.

So on, and so on, and so on. By now, this “blood on your hands” line from the left is uttered about as much as the word “white supremacist” is when they talk about President Donald Trump. “Gun lady evil” could be a meme right up there with “orange man bad.”

The problem is that it’s not just your typical blue checkmark and internet rando that comes after Loesch. The mainstream media seem to love putting the blame on people like Loesch too. After El Paso, the mainstream media decided to jump on Dana Loesch by trying out this brand new strategy that we’ve never seen before; taking something she had said completely out of context.

It started when CNN’s Joan Walsh decided to make a snide comment about Loesch’s connection with beet juice.

Walsh was called out for trying to attack Loesch in the midst of the tragedy by confusing beet juice with blood, and Walsh responded with more insults. Loesch simply responded that she has nothing on her hands.

Another blue checkmark told Loesch to look more closely, insinuating Loesch really was to blame for what happened. When Loesch called out the fact that they were directing hate toward her that could inevitably lead to violence from those angered by Loesch’s supposed part in the shootings, MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough decided to take a swipe at Loesch by making himself and his wife Mika Brzezinski sound like a victim of her rhetoric.

Scarborough is purposefully misrepresenting Loesch’s “your time is running out” quote by not even acknowledging what Loesch was talking about, or the context with which she said it. Loesch called him out on this.

Then Brzezinski joined in the fray, making it sound as if Loesch was the one who picked the fight in the first place.

Brzezinski had a flute to play, however, and kept going after Loesch while trying to pretend like it was Loesch on the attack. The MSNBC co-host kept telling Loesch to leave her alone while continuously tweeting insults at her. Brzezinski even went so far as to claim she picked the fight with Scarborough.

There’s plenty more to choose from. Visit Loesch’s page. She posts and retweets the hate thrown at her in Breitbartian fashion.

Loesch has been dealing with this nonsense for ages. The “blood on your hands” line has been repeated so much to her, especially lately, that it’s taken on the same feel as a zombified sounding cult chant. She’s obviously not to blame for the shooting, but she’s a lightning rod for people looking for someone to take their anger out on.

The problem is that the media leads this charge against her and for a solid reason. Loesch has proven them wrong time after time and is one of the few people who will actually walk into their territory to actually fight for gun rights in the face of a hostile crowd. If they truly want to push their agenda, one of the first steps is bringing down Loesch.

Of course, that’s easier said than done, especially when it’s done by people who are trying to self-victimize while on the attack like Scarborough and Brzezinski.

But whether they succeed or not — heavy emphasis on “not” — what they are doing is directing an inordinate amount of hate toward a woman who has only ever promoted the idea of gun safety and education while fiercely defending law-abiding gun owners right to have a firearm. Loesch has already had to move before due to the threats that have come her way, and here the mainstream media is making the problem worse.

But what else is new for them?

The shooting in El Paso on Saturday, I’m finding out, uncovered a long-hidden scourge in American politics, that of white supremacy. Apparently, this previously unimportant scourge became an existential threat to the republic because of the inchoate ravings of the shooter, 21-year-old Patrick Crusius, in an online manifesto. In fact, it generated ravings of its own that seem to merit medication…or at least a good strong drink.

National Review, which has been a hotbed of “muh principles” types who act like Linda Blair doused with Holy Water when anyone mentions that Big Tech might be an illegal monopoly and a profound danger to our political system, is on the case with Crush This Evil:

Addressing the problem will require a number of different approaches, some broad, some narrow. President Trump, a man who is comfortable using his bully pulpit for the most frivolous of reasons, should take the time to condemn these actions repeatedly and unambiguously, in both general and specific terms. Simultaneously, the president should work with Congress to devote more resources to infiltrating, tracking, and foiling nascent plots (during the 1940s, the KKK was partly destroyed by a radio show that weaponized insider information against it), and he should instruct the federal government to initiate an information campaign against white-supremacist violence in much the same way as it has conducted crusades against drunk driving, human trafficking, and domestic violence. Just as the government must not react to these incidents by abridging the Second Amendment or the Fourth Amendment, obviously the First Amendment’s crucial protections must also remain intact. But where action is consistent with the law — there is no prohibition on monitoring hotbeds of radicalism, nor against punishing those who plan or incite violence — it must be vigorously taken.

In concert, Americans must recognize that they have a crucial role to play in rooting out this awful ideology and in superintending the places in which it spreads. After an abomination such as this, the right of free association tends to get a bad rap. But, properly understood, free association serves as much as the remedy to extremism as its enabler. If, as they should, the various providers that make websites such as 8chan possible decide that they no longer wish to do so, that is their prerogative. If, as they should, Americans take it upon themselves to spot the early warning signs of radicalization and do whatever they are able to discourage it, that is their prerogative. Here, as elsewhere, the best prophylactic against mass killings is individual intervention and social responsibility.

(I’m sort of amazed, actually, that National Review was advocating, at least by my reading, having business undertake a mission at the behest of government that the government, itself, is not allowed to execute, though they have been trying ever since 2016 to find a new John Birch Society to run out of the conservative movement)

I can hardly think of a worse use of law enforcement time and effort than having them hanging out on message boards that cater to this audience in hopes of creating a conspiracy that can result in legal action (for the record, I’ve been a long-time critic of FBI informants being at the center of all manner of Walter-Mitty-like conspiracies involving jihadis and “sovereign citizens” and transforming online bluster into federal felonies to burnish some prosecutor’s resume).

Let me be clear. I really don’t care about white supremacists. Period. I just don’t care. I think their ideology is as much a happy myth as any other race-based ideology that we see served up to us on a daily basis. Given the seething cesspool of social pathologies our culture has become, I fail to see why one pathology is more odious than a lot of others:

I also don’t care because you don’t even have to be particularly bright to see that all the “white supremacy” jag is about is trying to label Trump, his supporters, and the GOP as white supremacists and I don’t care to play along:

Pardon me, but the people pushing this whole idea are so odious and so skin-crawlingly transparent in their haste to turn a tragedy into political gain that making common cause with them would be impossible.

Along with the de facto labeling as a white supremacist, they want to set up a never-ending series of apologies for it from people who have no association with white supremacy and ritualized condemnation of a philosophy held by not enough people to elect a single member of Congress by an entire party. I think, given the devotion of our schools and government to awarding benefits based on race and ethnicity, it is totally unsurprising that white supremacy is making a comeback in circles outside of maximum security prisons…especially among young men who feel alienated from society and who are, perhaps, in doubt of their own ability to make their way in the world. This population, I hasten to note, is the primary recruiting ground for jihadis and for Antifa and for Farrakhan’s foot soldiers, too. In a bygone era, they were the main source of troops for ethnic-based criminal gangs. I wouldn’t knowingly hire someone subscribing to this belief just as I would not hire someone with a degree in, for instance, gender studies or who was a member of PETA. In all those cases you know you’re hiring a noxious bigot who is going to cause you a lot of grief downstream. But neither would I want the federal government or private industry to hound you from your school or job because you held out-of-favor beliefs. People change with age and I think hunting down and labeling people as “white supremacists” is simply counterproductive. Besides, I think a few days in the work force can disabuse most anyone of the misapprehension that skin color, any skin color, brings with it a promise of supremacy or intelligence or competence or much of anything else.

In the late 1970s-early 1980s, Lieutenant General Julius Becton became the first black general officer to command a corps in the US Army (VII Corps and Kelley Barracks in Stuttgart) he gave an interview to Stars and Stripes, the official newspaper of US Army Europe, discussing his views on racism. The Army was then less than a decade out of Vietnam and it had racial problems out the wazoo (there was a cross-burning on the lawn of the NCO club on my kaserne). The interview stuck with me for all these years. He said, that he didn’t care what people believed, he cared how they acted. He said, “I can’t change your heart but I can damned sure modify your behavior.”

There are all kinds so stupid ideas out there, some harmful only to yourself, some to yourself and to others. If you want to subscribe to one or more of them, I really don’t care. Me not caring doesn’t mean I approve, it just means I don’t care. But once you try to act on that behavior, then we have an issue. Talk smack online all you want, but the moment you communicate a threat or become involved in a criminal conspiracy, then you should get attention from law enforcement. But devoting a lot of energy to publicizing a non-problem is the surest way to create more of the problem than you have right now.

If you feel compelled to denounce white supremacists, even though you aren’t associated with them, then go right ahead. I think its a non-problem and demanding denunciations is a political scam and I won’t be joining you.

Most conservatives have learned from past experiences that anytime you criticize a black Democrat, you are automatically going to be accused of racism. No matter how legitimate the criticism is. This started way before the presidency of Barack Obama, happened with increasing frequency during the Obama years, and continues to happen to this very day.

Liberal “Grey’s Anatomy” actress Ellen Pompeo, who supported Hillary Clinton‘s candidacy in 2016, learned this lesson the hard way after last week’s Democratic debates. She made the mistake of characterizing Sen. Kamala Harris’s debate performance as “overconfident” – and was promptly accused of, you guessed it, racism.

Here’s what Pompeo wrote that sparked the backlash:

Concern trolls read her the riot act for daring to criticize the California Senator:

Pompeo pushed back against the accusation she was engaging in racism in a series of tweets, but in the end it didn’t matter. Something Pompeo’s detractors probably don’t know about her is that it would be kinda hard for the actress to harbor any racist tendencies. Her husband Chris Ivery is black. They have three children together:

To be sure, that’s not a “get out of jail free” card anymore to the left, especially when you consider how the Congressional Black Caucus subtly accused Latina Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY) of racism because her Justice Democrats group is targeting several black Democratic lawmakers in the 2020 primaries. This came just days after Ocasio-Cortez played the “Woman of Color” card on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for daring to criticize The Squad.

Republicans were racists because they opposed Obamacare. Those who support President Trump are, by default, called “racists.” Nancy Pelosi was a racist because she had the audacity to scold The Squad. Ocasio-Cortez was a racist because she opposes certain Congressional Black Caucus members. Pompeo is racist because she thought Sen. Harris should have done things differently at the last debate.

As Trump and many others have said so many times before, Democrats have made it so the word “racism’ has no meaning anymore outside of what they declare it to mean at any given moment. It’s sad, shameful, and unfortunately they are aided and abetted by a complicit mainstream media.

Kamala Harris’s Arrest Reports Are Quietly Disappearing From California’s DOC Website

As America has erupted over the three mass shootings that happened over the course of the weekend — yeah, there was a third in Chicago, but the media doesn’t want to talk about that one for some reason — the California Department of Corrections has been busy making Sen. Kamala Harris’s arrest reports during her time as California’s Attorney General hard to find.

According to Charles Lehman at the Washington Free Beacon, the California DOC made arrests in California a matter of public record that is easy to access via the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation site. Now, a lot of it is suddenly gone:

The department removed public access to a number of reports on incarceration in the state, including when presidential candidate Kamala Harris (D.) was California’s attorney general. Twice a year, the CDCR releases information about the number of new individuals incarcerated in the California prison system as part of its “Offender Data Points” series. These reports provide important information on demographics, sentence length, offense type, and other figures relevant to criminal justice and incarceration.

Until recently, these reports were publicly available at the CDCR’s websiteA search using archive.org’s Wayback Machine reveals that as of April 25, 2019—the most recent indexed date—ODP reports were available dating back to the spring of 2009. As of August 2019, the same web page now serves only a single ODP report, the one for Spring 2019. The pre-2019 reports have been removed.

This is an interesting turn of events given the fact that, during last week’s 2020 Democrat debate, Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard made Sen. Kamala Harris’s arrests a stain on Harris with unreasonable prison sentences for non-violent drug offenders, extending prison sentences to utilize prisoners for cheap labor, and withholding evidence that would have cleared a death row inmate.

Harris often uses her time as California’s AG as a point of pride but kept a lot of what she did under wraps. Gabbard drew back the curtain, but now California appears to be trying to put the curtain back and then put the whole thing behind a brick wall.

It may be too late, as Gabbard opened the flood gates. As the Free Beacon reported, it’s now known that Harris put over 120,000 minorities in prison during her stint as AG. She also put away 1,500 Californians away from marijuana use.

This entire thing raises some questions.

Is the state of California attempting to protect Harris by hiding the truth from the public? Is this being done at the behest of the DNC, or at least under the knowledge of the DNC? Is Harris’s campaign behind this at all?

While I’m not sure if there are any legal violations, it’s still a violation of the public’s trust. Hiding Harris’s mistakes is a shady move, especially at a time when investigations into her past as California’s “top cop” are ongoing thanks to Gabbard’s blistering move during the debates and Harris’s subsequent inability to defend herself.

If Anyone Is Spreading White Supremacy, It’s the Media, Not Trump

I knew the moment that I heard about the El Paso shooter’s manifesto on Saturday that this would shooting would become about President Donald Trump’s supposed racism. In fact, at the time of this writing, #WhiteSupremacistInChief is trending on Twitter.

But despite continuous claims and talking points circling around Trump’s hatred of minorities, no one can ever point to something that Trump said that was actually racist. When they do mention something that he said, they can never quote him verbatim, just one or two words.

“He called immigrants animals,” they tell me along with other famous claims like calling immigrants “rapists” and “criminals.”

Did Trump say those things? Yes, but the context is so out of sync with the stories that are pushed about him. Let’s take the “animals” comment for instance. This line popped up during a moment when Trump was speaking about the gang MS-13. That gang originates in central America and runs a national crime syndicate that includes drugs and sex trafficking. Their motto is “rape, control, kill.”

To call them “animals” is actually putting it lightly.

Yet, everyone from the New York Times to the Washington Post was swearing up and down that they had caught Trump red-handed with racism. Instead of agreeing with Trump that MS-13 was a horrific presence in America that needed to be dealt with, they went after Trump for “racism.” To be clear, the media was running defense for MS-13 — the gang who had just brutally murdered a man in an unspeakable fashion — in order to own Trump.

That line still persists among the left from the politicians to the media. Robert “Beto” O’Rourke mentioned the “animals” line during his press tour on the El Paso shooting, where he’s decided to use the horrific deaths of innocents as a way to boost approval points by attacking Trump.

Even when it came to the “rapists” and “criminals” line that you see consistently quoted by leftists politicians and media, Trump was clearly referring to the illegal immigrants trying to sneak across the border who commit these crimes. Here’s the full context:

When do we beat Mexico at the border? They’re laughing at us, at our stupidity. And now they are beating us economically. They are not our friend, believe me. But they’re killing us economically.

The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody else’s problems.

Thank you. It’s true, and these are the best and the finest. When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.

But I speak to border guards and they tell us what we’re getting. And it only makes common sense. It only makes common sense. They’re sending us not the right people.

Trump’s words were, at best, inartful in not making sure it’s understood more that not every person trying to come across the border is a horrible person. He even makes mention that he assumes there are some good people in that crowd. However, he’s not wrong. Some heinous things happen at the border and they bring it here. Brandon Darby of Breitbart was on the ground covering what happens at the border, and to Trump’s credit, rape is very common.

Yet, the media didn’t focus on this. They just focused on keywords within Trump’s dialogue about the border.

A pattern is already starting to develop here. Trump says things, the media picks out a singular word or phrase, then proceeds to paint him as a new Hitler by throwing away all context. Be it about the border or Baltimore, Trump has to be seen as a white supremacist, even if he is correct about the state of something and acknowledging it would help people in the middle of it.

The sick part is that with this in mind, it’s clearly not Trump pushing white supremacy. It’s the media.

The media is consistently generating narratives that shouldn’t even exist and only divide people to extremes. It shouldn’t be a radical thing to acknowledge that the border crisis is out of control or that Baltimore is living in rats and filth. It shouldn’t be controversial to say shut down travel from countries that are known hotbeds of terrorism as we witness death and rape in Europe skyrocket as they welcome people from those countries in.

The media narrative, however, is that Trump is a racist white supremacist and all of his supporters are white supremacists as well. Their modus operandi is to completely ignore or deny that any problems exist until they become politically expedient, like the photo of the dead child and father that finally got the left to admit that there was a border crisis. They don’t want to talk about the shooting that just happened in Democrat-controlled Chicago or talk about the Dayton shooter who was a socialist Antifa supporter. They don’t want to accurately tell you what’s happening about any given issue that involves someone of a race other than white.

Trump brings up a legitimate problem, he’s called a racist, the media denies any problems exist while people see the problem first hand, and people find themselves becoming bitter and angry. Those with issues to begin with become vindictive and we get shootings like Christchurch and El Paso.

I want to be very clear that I’m not making excuses for these shooters who are pure scum and deserve to die forgotten by the world they were trying to grab the attention of. Nor am I pardoning racism, which is one of the lowest forms of hatred.

That said, the media keeps greasing the wheels for white supremacists to have all the attention and platform they want. Meanwhile, Trump is actually looking issues surrounding minority groups in the face and moving to act. As Greg Gutfeld tweeted the other day, if he is a racist, he sucks at it, given his penchant for helping minorities in trouble.

In fact, would a white supremacist condemn white supremacy like Trump did today?

The media, however, is continuously giving airtime to the subject white supremacists and creating them out of thin air whenever the opportunity arises, like with the Baltimore controversy. They’ve even put white supremacists like Richard Spencer on-air for commentary. That’s not Fox News doing that, that’s CNN.

If the media was honest and gave every Trump phrase in context with news stories that don’t hide the truth, the issue of white supremacy wouldn’t be the mammoth that it is, but a narrative must thrive and as such, the infection grows. White supremacy has the claws it does because the media keeps sharpening them, then blames Trump as he actually tries to solve the problem.

Pathetic.

Joe Biden Loses It, Offers Condolences to Wrong Locations After Mass Shootings

Westlake Legal Group bidendummy-620x388 Joe Biden Loses It, Offers Condolences to Wrong Locations After Mass Shootings senile Politics Old Ohio Misstatement Michigan Joe Biden Houston gaffe Front Page Stories Front Page Featured Story El Paso double standards democrats dayton Aging 2020

Joe Biden’s biggest flaw in the 2020 race is the fact that he’s noticeably aging in front of voters’ eyes. For much of the campaign, he’s attempted to remain in hiding, only showing his face for the occasional teleprompter speech or the debates, which he’s forced to endure.

Following two tragic mass shootings in El Paso and Dayton, some 2020 Democrat candidates blamed Trump and racism to score political points despite the fact that the Dayton shooter was an avowed socialist and Sanders/Warren supporter. Some yelled about Fox News. One candidate even fund-raised off of it.

Joe Biden, on the other hand, apparently doesn’t even know what day it is.

Former Vice President Joe Biden misstated the locations of mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, while speaking to donors at a high-dollar fundraiser in San Diego on Sunday night.

Biden, 76, mistakenly referred to the shootings as “the tragic events in Houston today and also in Michigan the day before,” but later corrected himself, according to a pool report. Biden seemingly confused Houston for El Paso and Michigan for Ohio when speaking to donors about the shootings.

Imagine being so high profile and not knowing what the locations of the two mass shootings that had just taken place a day earlier. How does one make that mistake? The simple answer is that Biden is just old. No, I don’t think he’s going to fall over dead tomorrow, but he appears to have even worse faculties than you’d expect from a nearly 80 year old man. He routinely misstates things. At the debate the other night he made no less than 9 verbal gaffes, including asking people to “Go to Joe 30330,” seemingly not knowing that he wasn’t citing a website. Other times he simply appeared confused.

As a political exercise, I’d like you to imagine what the media would do if Donald Trump misstated the locations of both of these mass shootings. Heck, let’s say he just flubbed the name of one of them. It would result in wall to wall coverage, mostly asserting that Trump cares so little for the victims that he couldn’t even bother to learn the names of the cities the shootings took place in. They wouldn’t be wrong either. If you are the President or running for President, you should be lucid and knowledgeable enough to not think shootings that took place in El Paso and Dayton happened in Houston and Michigan. Because it’s Biden though, it’s just brushed aside because he has the right politics.

This is a problem for him going forward. The “sleepy Joe” label has stuck and he’s reinforcing its truth every time he speaks publicly. It’s worth remembering we are still well over a year out from the election. What will Biden’s disposition be like next summer after a year of campaigning? The odds are it won’t be good.
