Meghan McCain Combusts Over the Excoriation of Border Detention Centers: ‘I Know What a Torture Facility Looks Like’

On Tuesday’s The View, Meghan McCain got heated over a widely-shared video of a Trump administration attorney Sarah Fabian claiming the government was not “required” to provide particular toiletries and supplies to detained illegal immigrants at the border.

Check it out:

This meant, to Sunny Hostin, that the White House “doesn’t care” about the children.

Joy Behar asserted that it was a case of downright racism — after all, she suggested, it would never be done if the illegals were from Norway.

Sunny punctuated, “No.”

Is it possible for Democrats on television to have a discussion about politics without accusing the other side of racism? Hold for an answer.

In the meantime:

Don’t count out Meghan McCain from any conversation on the poor conditions of holding facilities. She agreed with the panel’s castigation of the situation as “horrific,” but:

“Calling these places torture facilities. I understand it’s a humanitarian crisis. It’s horrific to detain — like you said, people in jail get soap and…toothpaste.”

She was startin’ to get crunk:

“But I know what a torture facility looks like. I’ve been to one. I know —”

Joy interrupted, “But this is –”

Here is, it seems to me, excellent advice when debating any issue with Meghan McCain, whether it be politics or who’s gonna drive on your expedition to Walmart: Don’t interrupt that chick. She’s got firehere, here, and here.

And here:

Listen to me. Excuse me. When you have a facility whose specific purpose is to torture people, that is not what’s going on. Yes, it’s inhumane but there’s a big difference between a Hanoi Hilton and —”

Sunny boldly bounced in:

“We should be less concerned about what we’re calling them and what goes on inside of them. I don’t care what we’re calling them. Kids are dying inside of them. We should care about the dead kids that have come out of them.”

Aaand Meghan snatches back the conch shell:

“Well, my father couldn’t lift me above his head as a child because of his torture wounds so I do think that hyperbole is important,” McCain concluded, referencing the permanent physical damage done to the late Republican Arizona Sen. John McCain as the result of torture following his capture during the Vietnam War.”

Don’t interrupt Meghan McCain. And never, ever call them torture facilities.

But if you’re Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, you can just call ’em something radical and then say it was Liz Cheney (here and here).

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has spent the last year proclaiming herself to be a champion of migrant women, children and families who are trying to cross the border. She’s compared border detention facilities to Nazi concentration camps and has declared without apology that she will continue to refuse the Trump administration’s request for supplemental funding that would help alleviate the humanitarian issues at the border.

But earlier today the freshman Congresswoman revealed a hypocrisy and duplicity on the border issue that is so stunning in nature that it almost takes your breath away.

Let’s take a trip back to her Twitter feed from just a few days ago, where she blasted the Trump administration for allegedly wanting to deprive illegal immigrant children on the border of toothpaste, soap, and adequate sleeping conditions:

Fast forward to today, when a group of Wayfair employees announced a walkout because the company was selling beds to the government to use for children in the detention centers:

Ocasio-Cortez, who just days ago threw firebombs over allegedly deplorable sleeping conditions for children at these detention centers, ENDORSED it:

To me, her jumping on board this campaign to deprive children on the border of beds to sleep on because Orange Man Bad pretty much wins the prize on the Evil Witch scale:

Others were quick to weigh in, including the Trump War Room:

I think this tweet sums it up best:

So she won’t give due consideration to a request for supplemental funding that would help alleviate some of the conditions she complains about, and she doesn’t want suppliers to sell beds to the government to use so children don’t have to sleep in the deplorable conditions she complains about.

Psst: Hey, mainstream media. Know what it’s time to do? It’s time for y’all to – at long last – CALL. HER. OUT.

About a month ago, Star Trek actor and liberal icon George Takei pounced to the Twitter machine to express his frustration with Sen. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY).

Takei, who has made no secret of his disdain for the Trump administration and Republicans in general, posted this about the man who is proud to call himself “the Grim Reaper”:

The National Republican Senate Committee got wind of the tweet, and trolled Takei back in response at the time using this infamous gif of McConnell:

PJ Media‘s Nicholas Ballasy caught up with Takei and his husband Brad Altman at a recent event and asked if Takei had made up his mind on whether or not to officially challenge McConnell:

Following his participation in the American Library Association’s annual conference on Monday, PJM asked Takei if he is going to run for Senate, but event organizers interrupted the interview before Takei could respond. However, Takei’s husband Brad Altman later said the Star Trek actor is not going to enter the Senate race in Kentucky against McConnell.

“He’s not running,” Mr. Altman said. “We’re not planning on moving to Kentucky.”

Oh, darn it.

McConnell has earned the ire of Democrats like Takei and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (CA). Earlier this month, Pelosi displayed a chart during a press conference the mocked McConnell’s embrace of the “Grim Reaper” nickname. The Senator’s response to Pelosi’s stunt was priceless:

“She’s got it right,” McConnell said, referring to Pelosi. “She’s got it absolutely right. For the first time in my memory, I agree with Nancy Pelosi.”

“I am indeed the ‘Grim Reaper’ when it comes to the socialist agenda that they have been ginning up over the House with overwhelming Democratic support, and sending it over to America,” he added. “Things that would turn us into a country we have never been.”

Pelosi’s poster included a quote from McConnell, in which he called himself the “Grim Reaper” in regard to keeping some of the Democrats’ legislative priorities from reaching President Trump’s desk.

“None of those things are going to pass the Senate. they won’t even be voted on. So think of me as the Grim Reaper,” McConnell had said.

To date, McConnell has one 2020 primary challenger so far but no one on the Democratic side has formally declared. It was reported in March that Democrats were hoping to convince former Marine pilot Amy McGrath, a former House candidate, to challenge the longtime Senator.

While Democrats continue to hold up funding and keep CBP hostage as they attempt to handle the massive influx in illegal immigration, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is doing what’s really important.

Namely, she’s sharing glamour shots of herself from the border, some showing her head in her hand, others staring deeply into the camera.

Don’t kid yourself. These are completely staged and this photographer didn’t just happen to catch these on the fly. Noway do you get these kinds of posed shots, some with direct eye contact from close range, without AOC being aware. She was in on this. Notice that she is supposedly crying in a couple of shots yet there’s not a hint of a tear, red eye, or smudged makeup.

What exactly is she so upset by? We aren’t sure as all you see is a fence and a CBP patrol car. These were apparently taken in 2018 during the beginnings of the surge of migrant families. Due to the Flores Agreement, the Trump administration was hamstrung. They either had to allow unvetted, illegal immigrants to roam freely into the interior, or they had to put children in foster care after 20 days as cases were adjudicated. Eventually, after much misleading outcry in the media, Trump would back off his zero tolerance policy.

What AOC is doing here is just gross. It’s using the raw realities of illegal immigration, which requires detention (at least initially), as a stage to push staged pictures letting us know just how much she cares.

The truth is, her actions say she doesn’t care at all. She’s refusing to give CBP more beds, more funding, and more facilities in order to properly house these people. She won’t offer up any solutions at all. In fact, in all of her emotionally tinged, faux tweets she’s put out on this, she’s managed to not share a single idea on how to handle the situation.

This is a game to her and it’s why she’s such an awful politician, technically and morally.

Video: Trump Stirs the Biden Pot, Suggests There’s a Troubling Reason Why Obama Won’t Endorse His Former VP

President Donald Trump (R) is interviewed by “The Hill” – 6/24/19. Screen grab via The Hill.

Just one week after his official 2020 reelection campaign kickoff, President Trump is clearly in campaign mode and ready to ramp up his needling of current Democratic frontrunner Joe Biden.

In a wide-ranging interview Trump did with The Hill on Monday, the President suggested that there may be a more concerning reason former President Obama is not endorsing Biden that goes beyond merely being respectful to the other candidates during the primary process:

“How he doesn’t get President Obama to endorse him — there has to be some reason why he’s not endorsing him,” Trump said outside the Oval Office. “He was the vice president. They seem to have gotten along. And how President Obama’s not endorsing him is rather a big secret,” Trump mused, adding, “Then he goes and lies and said, ‘I asked the president not to endorse me.’ Give me a break.”

Trump argued Biden made the assertion because “he’s embarrassed by the fact that Obama’s not endorsing him, so he goes out and says, ‘I asked President Obama not to endorse me.’ … So it could be that President Obama knows something, but there is something going on in that brain of his.”

Pressed on what exactly is going on in Biden’s brain, Trump said, “I think he’s off. He’s different. We’ve all known him a long time. I’ve seen him for a long time. Frankly, he looks different, he sounds different, and he thinks different. Other than that, I hope he does very well.”

Watch this segment of the interview below:

Biden frequently talks about Obama on the campaign trail, and not just in terms of what he says they accomplished, but also in terms of the personal friendship they developed over the 8 years they were in DC. It’s a calculated strategy on his part, reminding Democratic voters he was the VP to a man who is still very much loved in his party.

Related to that, political observers say that Biden’s time as Obama’s vice president is something the black community remembers fondly and takes into account.

But some commentators – both liberal and conservative – have suggested Biden also brings up Obama to insinuate to Democratic voters, without evidence, that if Obama “could” endorse anyone prior to the start of the primaries, it would be him.

This tweet was viewed as a prime example of that:

As Fox News notes, Trump has been trying to get under Biden’s skin since he officially announced his candidacy back in April:

Trump and Biden repeatedly have traded blows since the former vice president entered the 2020 race, with the president frequently dismissing his potential opponent as “sleepy”.

Trump even said he would prefer to run against Biden rather than face another campaign against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Trump, who has continued to launch criticisms at Clinton even after he defeated her in the 2016 presidential race, recently offered rare praise of the former secretary of state while once again labeling Biden as “sleepy.”

“I actually think that Hillary Clinton was a great candidate. She was very smart. She was very tough. She was ruthless and vicious,” Trump said during an interview that aired this past Sunday on NBC News’ “Meet The Press.” “[Biden’s] sleepy. She was not sleepy.”

Biden is set to take the debate stage in Miami Thursday night. Should be interesting to see what he has to say about Trump’s comments – and what Trump will say in turn if he decides to live-tweet the debates.

Nancy Pelosi on U.S. Immigration Laws: ‘In terms of interior enforcement…what’s the point?’

Westlake Legal Group Nancy-Pelosi-620x349 Nancy Pelosi on U.S. Immigration Laws: ‘In terms of interior enforcement…what’s the point?’ President Trump Nancy Pelosi migrants immigration Illegal Immigration Ice Front Page Stories Featured Story Dreamers democrats Congress Allow Media Exception

Please watch the following 30 second clip of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi criticizing President Trump’s planned Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids on illegal immigrants. She spoke at a “Speaker in the House” event hosted by New York Rep. Grace Meng. The deportation operation was scheduled to take place last weekend, however it was called off after information about specific locations was leaked.

The plan had called for about 2000 illegals who have failed to comply with court orders to leave the U.S.  Each had been offered legal assistance and a 30-day pass in February.

Here is what Pelosi had to say:

When I saw that the president was going to have these raids, I mean it was so appalling. It’s outside the circle of civilized human behavior to just be kicking down doors, splitting up families, and the rest of that, in addition to the injustices that are happening at the border. We have legislation to go forward to address those needs, but in terms of interior enforcement, what’s the – what’s the point?

The most powerful Democrat in the U.S. government, the leader of the House of Representatives, which is charged with passing legislation asks “what is the point” of enforcing U.S. immigration laws?

Because we are a nation of laws Nancy and generally, we follow the existing laws until Congress passes new ones.

In the video below, Pelosi discusses her Friday evening phone call with the President. She said she told him that,  “a violation of status is not a reason for deportation.” She told her audience,

That’s just not so. If you have some case you want to make about somebody who’s been accused … that has nothing to do with violation of status because then we’re talking about over 10 million people who may be subjected to this treatment, and what we need there is comprehensive immigration reform with a path to citizenship.

Later on she added, “You cannot be ignoring the rights of immigrants to our country.”

Actually Nancy, a violation of status is a reason for deportation.

Pelosi’s comments were echoed by 2020 hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in an appearance on CBS News’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday.

Host Margaret Brennan asked, “There are ICE raids set to start Sunday morning. Estimates of some 2000 people or so who will be targeted, is this appropriate?”

Sanders replied, “No, it’s not. It is absolutely not appropriate.”

Brennan questioned him further. “But specifically on this point, the two thousand that are supposed to be targeted haven’t shown up for a court date so essentially they’re- they’re not following the asylum process. The legal standards when they’re here. So should they be prosecuted, should they be deported?”

Bernie responded, “I don’t- I don’t like this deportation thing at all and I think Trump uses this as a beginning to do worse things to come.”

Two long-time lawmakers have criticized the President for enforcing U.S. laws? One questions the point of the laws. The other says he doesn’t “like this deportation thing at all.” And many others share this view.  They just don’t state it quite so bluntly.

Just one question. If lawmakers are allowed to pick and choose which laws to enforce, what’s the point of enforcing any laws?

Police union rips Buttigieg: using shooting to score campaign points

Westlake Legal Group cnn-buttigieg Police union rips Buttigieg: using shooting to score campaign points The Blog South Bend police union Pete Buttigieg Mayor Pete Indiana democrats 2020 campaign

South Bend’s police union is not happy with Mayor Pete’s handling of an officer-involved shooting. Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #36 issued a press release Monday explaining its reaction to the recent events involving one of their own members. The union has more than 350 members. They say that Pete Buttigieg is using a tragedy for political gain, namely in his presidential campaign.

The press release expresses support for Sgt. Ryan O’Neill, the officer involved in the shooting of Eric Logan, a knife-wielding man. O’Neill shot Logan two times as Logan approached him and Logan died at the hospital. O’Neill is a white policeman and Logan is a 54-year-old African-American. There is a presumption of innocence in America, the union points out, and support for O’Neill will continue throughout the ongoing investigation being conducted by an independent entity. That entity, the Metro Homicide Unit, is doing a full and complete investigation without involvement from the police officers with whom they serve.

The union calls out Mayor Pete for making disparaging remarks against police and failing to unify the community. His comments are driving a wedge between police and the community. From the press release: “All Police work and all of American life take place in the shadow of racism” is a comment made by the mayor that the union points to as disparaging. Buttigieg’s focus on this event is “solely for his political gain and not for the health of this community,” claims the union. By focusing only on this one incident and the family involved, Buttigieg has failed to acknowledge “the largest mass shooting in the recent history of South Bend or on one juvenile killing another earlier in the week. Buttigieg’s focus on one family has left several others ostracized. He has not spoken to the families involved in the Kelly’s Pub shooting, the South Bend Police Family, or the family of Sgt. O’Neill all of whom are suffering greatly.”

The statement addresses the point that the accountability level of officers has increased “exponentially” and the manual has been restructured at or above national levels in all areas. It spoke to the good works done in the community by the police department and members of the union. The press release ends with a plea for the community to come together. The union leadership points to the fact that Mayor Pete will soon no longer be running the city but the police department and the residents of South Bend will still be there.

It is not surprising that the police union issued this press release. Mayor Pete looks to be in over his head in handling the pressure of balancing running a small city and campaigning for president. Buttigieg is young at 37 years of age and his limited political experience is not serving him well right now.

Earlier in the day, Buttigieg had emailed campaign supporters to address events this past weekend, as he faced raw emotions, shouts and protests over the Logan shooting.

“It was a painful but needed conversation,” he wrote. “And I feel overwhelmed and heartened by the number of people — supporters and critics — who have reached out and made it clear over the past week that they want to join hands and face these problems together.”

Buttigieg also wrote, “I will be working with my team and community to build on what we have done together over the past few years. It is clear we need to implement bolder and more aggressive actions moving forward.”

It turns out that this is not the first time that Buttigieg has disparaged police officers. There was an incident in 2017 when Mayor Pete didn’t stick up for police as strongly as the department felt he should have.

Monday wasn’t the first time the union took Buttigieg to task. In 2017, then-FOP president Dan Demler argued that the mayor hadn’t done enough to stick up for the department when officers faced criticism. As one instance, Demler pointed to Aaron Knepper, an officer who was embroiled in various controversies and lawsuits over use of force.

“The narrative has been put out there that we can’t be trusted,” Demler said.

Knepper was one of the officers who responded to the scene after the Logan shooting and transported Logan to the hospital. He is currently the treasurer of the FOP.

In response to Demler’s comments in 2017, Buttigieg said he was “proud of the dedication our officers show every day, and we stand by our officers when they do the right thing.”

St. Joseph County Prosecutor Kenneth Cotter filed a petition Monday asking a judge to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the shooting. It is becoming clear that Sgt. O’Neill is about to be painted as a racist because of an alleged incident eleven years ago. Is Mayor Pete a part of that plan? He supports the petition.

The mayor praised the prosecutor’s decision to request an independent investigator.

“I respect and support Prosecutor Cotter’s decision to seek an outside, special prosecutor to investigate the circumstances of Eric Logan’s death,” Buttigieg said in a statement Monday. “Our community is in anguish, and for all of us to come to terms with what happened, it is vital that the investigation be fair, thorough, and impartial.”

I’m not so sure that inciting racial tensions is the way Mayor Pete wants to go. He suffers from an almost complete lack of support from African-American voters as polling stands now. He should also consider his troubled past with racial relationships in South Bend. During his first term in office, tensions mounted as he fired the police chief who was African-American. The petition for a special prosecutor sounds as though it is all about creating a narrative against Sgt. O’Neill, not actually trying to create a fair investigation.

Cotter’s petition requests a special prosecutor to “avoid any appearance of impropriety, conflict of interest or influence upon the ultimate prosecutorial decision to be made.”

The petition also noted his chief investigator, Dave Newton, was a South Bend police lieutenant in 2008 while O’Neill was a patrol officer and had filed a report at the time quoting two other officers “that voiced a concern of inappropriate racial remarks made by Ryan O’Neill.”

My central question remains, as far as Pete Buttigieg’s presidential campaign goes – how can Democrat voters have faith in his leadership ability if he craters under the pressure of a police shooting in his small city? The people involved in the local tragedy are all known to him. He touts his desire to be of his community and work for the people he serves. Yet, when under pressure from the special interests that emerge from this kind of incident, for example, agitators like Black Lives Matter, he emotionally caves to pander to one community over another. As mayor, he should be calling for community unity and supporting the police as they protect that community. Given an absence of wrong-doing by Sgt. O’Neill, at least so far, Mayor Pete has not risen to the occasion and that calls into question his rise to the highest political office in the land. Is he ready to be the leader of the free world if he botches leading a city of 100,000 people?

On Monday, I covered Mexico’s deployment of 15,000 National Guard members to the U.S.-Mexico border (see much more here).

Well, leave it to Donald Trump Jr. to tweet out a zinger lambasting the Left in the light of Mexico’s assistance.

As news of the country’s move broke, Jr. posted the following:

“Mexico doing more to protect America than Democrats. The Dems have lost their way… they are not your grandfather’s Democrat party any longer and haven’t been for far too long.”

He’s certainly right that what defines the Democratic Party has changed to a jaw-dropping degree.

For an easy view into the Dems of yore, just check this out:

And that guy, at the time, was considered a very Democrat Democrat.

So what the heck happened?

It seems to me that, in addition to moving toward open borders ideologically and maneuvering for the sake of acquiring the Hispanic vote, the party has traded principle for politics. In my opinion, congressional Democrats have decided their responsibility, above all, is to be the opposition party to the Republican presidency. He wants border security? No way, no how, no matter how it affects the nation.

That’s the way it appears to me, from the bleachers.

Am I right?

Either way, Don Jr. has an interesting point. And Mexico’s decision is a victory lap for Trump:

Yep.

Last week, a story broke in New York Magazine (which was actually an excerpt from an upcoming book) claiming that President Donald Trump committed rape in a dressing room back in the mid-90s. The author of that book and writer of the article is E. Jean Carroll. She’s also the accuser in this case.

You can read the details of the original claim here.

Given that this is a claim of rape (or something approaching it), initial reactions were that it should be taken seriously. I agree. You can’t just dismiss someone out of hand because they hold different partisan viewpoints, of which Jean Carroll certainly does if you are on the right.

Judgement of credibly comes over time, just as it did with Christine Ford during the Kavanaugh ordeal, and I think we have enough information now for people to begin making up their own minds.

Here’s a compilation of some of the things she’s said in several interviews over the last few days as well as some refusals she’s made to try to substantiate her story.

When asked if she’ll press charges…

Aside from the general oddity, that answer places current politics on the forefront of her mind, something you wouldn’t expect from someone in the middle of recounting their own rape.

When asked what she wish she’d said to Trump at the time, this was her response.

Again, we see partisan politics on the forefront of her mind.

After claiming she still has the unlaundered dress, she was asked if she’d get it tested.

She claims she wanted Donald Trump to try on lingerie over his pants.

In her latest interview, she described rape as something people feel is sexy.

That exchange had CNN running to commercial.

No comment on this next one…

Even in settings such as the one with CNN’s Alyson Camerota, where the host was clearly coaching and guiding her to say certain things, Jean Carroll’s statements are all over the place and just strange. See The Daily Wire for more quotes from that specific interview.

Jean Carroll has also joked about rape in the past.

Other oddities about this story include that no major outlets covered it early on. Coverage is only starting to trickle in now but they are framed as reaction pieces. “Why aren’t more people paying attention to this” type writings while not dealing with the actual accusations much at all. What does that say about the corroboration available?

On the topic of motivation, as mentioned earlier, this is all being rolled out as part of a book she’s selling where she claims to have been raped by 6 different powerful men, all at different times in unrelated settings. How did this story about Trump not come out during 2016?

Finally, while Jean Carroll claims to have told two people who can “contemporaneously corroborate” her claims, both remain completely anonymous and she won’t ask them to come forward to back her up.

I’ve purposely chosen to go light on the editorializing in this piece.

Decide for yourself.

Why Are Some Republicans Looking to Add More Government to Health Care?

Republicans spent nearly a decade promising to rid us of the incredibly terrible law known as Obamacare.

And with very good reason.

Obamacare stripped millions of people of their insurance.  For those who survived that mass slaughter – Obamacare doubled the average insurance premium and tripled the average insurance deductible.

This after its namesake promised over and over and over again “If you like your health care plan – you can keep your health care plan.”  And promised over and over and over again premium reductions of $2,500 per year.

The woefully misnamed  “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act” – was a regulatory nightmare mess.

Jonathan Gruber – the guy who wrote the mess – said this was intentional.  That the Obamacare legislative process’ “lack of transparency (was) a huge political advantage.”  And that besides, We the People are “too stupid to understand” it.

Gruber made the mess a mess – so that we would then move on to government-only medicine.  Which the Left has now embraced as Medicare for All.

Never mind the fact Medicare – as currently constituted – is at least $38 trillion short.

Never mind the fact that Medicare – as currently constituted – pays health care providers abysmally.

Which is why more and more providers – refuse to see Medicare patients.

And the providers who do see Medicare patients – charge those of us with private insurance significantly more for the same procedures to make up the government shortfall:

“Medicaid and Medicare pay significantly less than the cost of providing health-care products and services….

“As the federal deficit grows, the federal government often makes cuts to Medicaid and Medicare. This translates to a decrease in the revenue doctors and hospitals receive….

“Cost shifting occurs when a hospital or other health-care provider charges an insured patient more than it does (a Medicare/Medicaid) patient for the same procedure or service.

“Those with health insurance, in effect, pay for the financial loss hospitals incur when they provide services to (Medicare/Medicaid patients).”

The private sector has been massively subsidizing government medicine – ever since government medicine was first imposed.

So when people like Senator Bernie Sanders claim Medicare is cheaper than the private sector – they are either incredibly ignorant or lying their faces off.  It’s a good thing these people are looking to commandeer control of the entire health care sector.

So if we go to government-only Medicare for All – there is nowhere left to cost shift.  And then we start rationing medicine.  And quite quickly arrive at Sarah Palin’s death panels.

The distilled lesson from the last decade – and the last half-century-plus – is:

More government means less health coverage – for a whole lot more money.

So with that lesson learned – and tens of thousands of electoral wins earned based upon promising us less government in medicine – why are some Republicans looking to do this?

The Lower Health Care Costs Act of 2019 Aims to Deliver Better Health Care Outcomes and Better Health Care Experiences at Lower Costs:

“Senate Health Committee Chairman Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) and Ranking Member Patty Murray (D-Wash.) today released the Lower Health Care Costs Act of 2019–bipartisan discussion draft legislation to reduce health care costs.”

“‘There’s one issue I hear a lot about from Tennesseans, and it is, “What are you going to do about the health care costs I pay for out of my own pocket?” Well, we’ve got an answer,’ said Chairman Alexander.”

No, Senator Alexander – you absolutely do not have “an answer.”

To paraphrase the late, great Ronald Reagan:

“In this present health care crisis, government is not the solution to our problem, government IS the problem.”

Did Senator Alexander sleep entirely through the last decade?

Obamacare was supposed to lower health insurance costs.  It doubled and tripled them.

Medicare only lowers costs – by dramatically screwing health providers AND private insurance holders.

And in the face of all this government failure – out comes Senator Alexander waving a piece of legislation and proclaiming “We’ve got an answer.”

No, Senator – you don’t.

The only legislation that would begin to address this nightmare mess – is legislation rolling back the massive incursions into private medicine government has for decades made.

Senator Alexander’s bill – is yet another government incursion further into private medicine.

Please, Senator:

Don’t just do something – stand there.
