A Major Mueller Report Claim Just Went Up In Flames

Westlake Legal Group dumpsterfire-620x310 A Major Mueller Report Claim Just Went Up In Flames Special Counsel Russian meddling Russian interference Russia Robert Mueller Politics No Evidence Mueller report Mueller Investigation judge IRA Front Page Stories Front Page Featured Story elections donald trump dnc hack democrats 2016 Election

Robert Mueller’s investigation has been an exercise in religiosity for many in the beltway. Any questioning of his team, his motives, handling of the situation, or his conclusions has been deemed blasphemy and simply is not allowed.

That’s left it to many outside of the mainstream media sphere to expose the questions surrounding what is actually contained in the Mueller report, as well as the investigations that preceded it.

Much of the criticism has been over how he handled the second half of the report, namely the issue of obstruction of justice (see Mueller’s Handling of the Obstruction Question Was Total Garbage). Instead of doing his job, Muller decided to sidestep his duty and not make a decision while winking and nodding at Democrats to push the issue in Congress. The only reason a special counsel existed in this case was to make prosecutorial decisions involving the President and Mueller’s answer was to shrug his shoulders and feed into further partisan frenzy.

But, now we are starting to see aspects of the first part of his report fall apart as well. We have already learned that Mueller and his team purposely misrepresented a phone call between the Trump legal counsel and Flynn’s lawyers to make it seem like witness tampering. The full transcript would later reveal the exact opposite of how Mueller framed it.

Another big shoe dropped today casting more doubt on the honesty and thoroughness of the Mueller report. One of his chief conclusions that formed the basis for the entire Russian interference narrative just went up in flames.

More details about all of this can found at RealClearInvestigations, where Mate lists in long form exactly just what’s missing and wrong with the report given the conclusions it supposedly reached. He goes on to conclude this.

None of this means that the Mueller report’s core finding of “sweeping and systematic” Russian government election interference is necessarily false. But his report does not present sufficient evidence to substantiate it. This shortcoming has gone overlooked in the partisan battle over two more highly charged aspects of Mueller’s report: potential Trump-Russia collusion and Trump’s potential obstruction of the resulting investigation. As Mueller prepares to testify before House committees later this month, the questions surrounding his claims of a far-reaching Russian influence campaign are no less important. They raise doubts about the genesis and perpetuation of Russiagate and the performance of those tasked with investigating it.

Many were skeptical from the beginning about claims of massive, coordinated Russian interference in the election. It simply didn’t add up given what we actually saw. That’s not to say Russia didn’t try to meddle, but that it’s scope has been blown way out proportion to feed a political narrative.

In the case of the IRA, one of two organizations Mueller claimed made up Russian government coordinated interference, there turns out to be no actual evidence it was being directed by the Russian government. That seems like it’d be pretty important to mention, right?

The fact that the Russians are bad actors does not negate the need to be honest about where the evidence actually led. Instead, Mueller, as he did in several other places in the report, chose to rely on specious or non-existent evidence to state what appears to be a pre-determined conclusion.

I’ll note that we saw the same thing from Mueller’s report in regards to the DNC hack issue. Do I personally believe the Russians were involved in getting the emails from the DNC via a hack or leak? Yeah, I do. Did Mueller actually have evidence to make that claim definitively? No, he didn’t. He once again relied on Crowdstrike’s shaky investigation, which had already been called into question years ago due to inconsistencies in their methodology and how they froze out the FBI.

All of this is piled onto Mueller’s other sketchy actions, like essentially ignoring the Steele Dossier and choosing to only pursue Trump associates in relation to Russia.

I see absolutely no reason to continue to treat the Mueller report as sacrosanct at this point. It’s a document that’s simply got too many partisan omissions and misrepresentations.

Department of Justice Decides Mike Flynn Is a Co-Conspirator When He Refuses to Lie

Former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn leaves federal court in Washington, Friday, Dec. 1, 2017. Flynn pleaded guilty Friday to making false statements to the FBI, the first Trump White House official to make a guilty plea so far in a wide-ranging investigation led by special counsel Robert Mueller. (AP Photo/Susan Walsh)

The saga of Mike Flynn took a very strange turn today when the Department of Justice abruptly dropped Flynn as a witness in the bullsh** FARA trial of his former business associate, Bijan Kian. Kian is accused of lobbying for Turkey without filing the proper forms. (Someone should point out to Justice that the Washington Post’s editorial page acted as a lobbyist for Qatar and for Turkey while it was pushing the Khashoggi story.) Flynn pleaded guilty to the same offense and was expected to be the government’s star witness.

Last month, however, Flynn and his longtime counsel parted ways in a rather cool manner and Flynn hired an attorney who has expressed public skepticism over the entire conduct of the Flynn case: Sidney Powell. So today was a different day:

Mr. Flynn pleaded guilty in December 2017 to lying to F.B.I. agents about conversations with the Russian ambassador at the time about sanctions. Mr. Flynn also admitted to prosecutors for the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, that he had repeatedly violated the Foreign Agents Registration Act, the law requiring firms to register their work on behalf of foreign clients. He acknowledged making “materially false statements and omissions” in those filings.

In the wake of Mr. Flynn’s reversal, federal prosecutors are now asserting that he is an unindicted co-conspirator rather than a cooperating witness and want to introduce his statements as evidence. Lawyers for Mr. Kian and Mr. Flynn both object vigorously to that move by prosecutors.

Lawyers for Mr. Flynn suggested that the government’s new position was possibly in “retaliation for Mr. Flynn’s truthful testimony the government does not like.” His lawyers also said that Mr. Flynn’s testimony would remain consistent with the facts of his plea deal and his statement of the offense. “When Mr. Flynn agreed in his ‘statement of offense’ in Judge Sullivan’s court that certain information in the FARA filing was false, he was doing so with some hindsight,” Mr. Flynn’s lawyers wrote.

The gambit, to paraphrase a Twitter thread by The Federalist’s Margot Cleveland runs like this. Nothing Flynn told prosecutors is very usable because Flynn will not be called to testify, he can’t be cross examined, and, therefore, it becomes hearsay. A statement by an unindicted co-conspirator is admissible. As Cleveland says, all of this begs the question of why the government just doesn’t call Flynn and have him testify? After all, Powell is not walking back from the guilty plea.

Part of that answer may be in Powell’s filing:

The evidence collected by Flynn’s current defense Attorney Sidney Powell, who recently replaced Flynn’s former defense attorney Robert Kelner, sheds new light on the extraordinary tactics used to target and retaliate against Flynn, according to the filing.

Further, Powell’s submission to the court also reveals that Flynn and his attorneys were under extreme pressure to file a Foreign Agents Registration Act in February, 2017 by David Laufman, the former head of the National Security Division.

Flynn was forced to file his FARA registration in February 2017, “under extreme and unprecedented pressure from extensive interactions with the National Security Division including then- NSD head David Laufman.” Laufman resigned shortly after on Feb. 8, 2017, during DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s investigation into the FBI’s probe of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private server to send classified emails.

Further, Flynn’s former counsel had advised prosecutors that “Mr. Flynn did not know and did not authorize signing the FARA form believing there is anything wrong in it. He honesty answered the questions his former counsel posed to him to the best of his recollection, and some with the benefit of hindsight.”

The government would probably rather this can of worms not be opened.

Needless to say, this development has led to an outbreak of explosive diarrhea on the left. Seth Abramson couldn’t quite make it to the little boy’s room on time and befouled himself:

and then he sat in it and rubbed it in his hair

This is a fairly high risk strategy for Powell and Flynn to pursue in the eleventh hour and before a judge who seems more that willing to send Flynn to jail. But the very fact that Flynn was willing to do this, to me, adds credence to the story that he was set up, railroaded, and convinced to lie in order to save his son from being indicted.

Tucker Carlson: The Democratic Party Has Become a Religious Cult, and Biden & Pelosi No Longer Pass Muster

Westlake Legal Group walking-people-bicycle-care-medicine-health-838988-pxhere.com_-620x465 Tucker Carlson: The Democratic Party Has Become a Religious Cult, and Biden & Pelosi No Longer Pass Muster Uncategorized Tucker Carlson socialism Social Justice religion rashida tlaib racism Politics Nancy Pelosi Joe Biden Ilhan Omar Front Page Stories Featured Story democrats Culture Congress Ayanna Pressley AOC Allow Media Exception Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Is Nancy Pelosi on the outs? Has she become that pair of bell bottoms at the bottom of the drawer, held down by stacks of parachute pants?

Tucker Carlson thinks so.

He said as much, in his Monday night monologue.

“After almost 200 years,” he began

Oh, wait — I thought that was how long she’s been in Congress. But he was talking about political goals:

“After almost 200 years, the Democrats were a political party with conventional political goals. That’s no longer true. The Democratic Party is now a religious cult, with all that implies. Dissent has been banned. Anyone who questions the party’s leftward fringe is denounced as a racist heretic.”

That doesn’t sound wrong.

He was, of course, referring to the new blood — and new ideas — in the House, courtesy of left-of-Left Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna Pressley, Rashida Tlaib, and Ilhan Omar (here).

A summary:

“The party has descended into a purity spiral, and nobody is safe, not even the party’s own leaders. Take Nancy Pelosi, for example. She is the most left-wing Speaker of the House in the history of the United States. She has been a fire-breathing liberal for longer than, I don’t know, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been alive.

“But none of that has been enough to save her. Ocasio-Cortez and a tiny group of House freshmen demand explicit socialism in this country right now. They want to open the borders, empty the prisons and take over the entire U.S. economy in the name of fighting climate change.”

Quite right — the new leaders appear, more than ever before — despite Dems’ constant characterization of der Führer Trump — of the mind that they should rule you. That’s what socialism is: It puts all the power in the hands of the handful of government agents. They own all products and means of production. You may not own a business; you may not choose how and when to spend your money according to the best offerings. Your finances are extracted, and you get what you get — which is to say, whatever they decide you should get.

And, Tucker asserted, those currently vying for the position of disproportionate ruler don’t know much:

“[P]elosi may agree with [their left-wing] goals, but she has contempt for their total ignorance of how laws are made. They’re against the democratic system itself, and Pelosi has expressed that contempt repeatedly in public.”

Indeed, there was recently a potent put-down (here) by “the wall is an immorality” Nancy (here). And, as Tucker displayed for the Fox audience, it went this way on 60 Minutes:

Lesley Stahl: You have these wings, AOC and her group on one side.

Pelosi: That’s like five people.

Tucker went on:

“[F]or saying things like that, Pelosi is facing a revolt from within the Democratic Party. She’s being denounced. Guess what they’re calling her? You know … a racist.

Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib explains that Pelosi is oppressing people of color.

Cue a snippet of Rashida:

“More people like us — people of color — have been missing in the [House] chamber, because most of us — and Ayanna Pressley says it more beautifully — people that are closest to the pain need to be at the table making these decisions. Guess what? We know what it feels like to be dehumanized. We know what it feels like to be brown and black in this country.”

What’s with their increasing obsession over the non-white races?

From a clip:

Martha Raddatz, ABC News: What would you say to Nancy Pelosi? What would you say directly to Nancy Pelosi?

Tlaib: Uplift the women, especially the women of color, within your caucus that are out there. Because I’ll tell you, more people like us, more people like me, that come out to vote [means] we win. All of us win.

All of us?

I hope MLK is somewhere right now where he has plenty of room to roll over…

Tucker observed:

“‘Give us power because of our skin color.’ That’s the argument Tlaib is making. Many make that argument; Ocasio-Cortez made the very same case during her Democratic primary campaign last year.”

So where do Nancy and Joe Biden fit into this new world?

Well, to hear Tucker tell it, they don’t:

“Like Pelosi, Biden has dedicated his entire life to the Democratic Party. As Pelosi has, Biden has dutifully moved left with the party over the years and hasn’t complained about it. He is currently running on, for example, free health care for illegal aliens.

“It’s over for Joe Biden — a bitter end to what might have been a decent political career. Only he seems to be unaware of that. On Saturday, Biden groveled one last time in a doomed effort to save himself.”

He’s most likely right. Joe’s too conservative to fit in with the cool kids. Plus, he’s so old, he lived during a time when he could — and did — say this (here):

“My gut reaction is that [homosexuals] are security risks…”

And what about Nancy? Sure — she’s got the pedigree of saying completely buffoonish things (here) and being a living ode to hypocrisy (here), but that ain’t enough.

But, as Tucker pointed out, mainstream America isn’t into the fads and fables of the House’s “Fresh Face Caucus“:

“Normal Americans know they’re not racist. They don’t think their neighbors and friends are racist, either. They don’t care about that. They care about their jobs, their safety, their families, their country.”

Nevertheless, that ain’t woke. And according to Tucker, as far as some of the new kids in Congress are concerned, Nancy and Joe might as well be America’s great aunt and uncle — mouths wide open — collapsed into their recliners after Thanksgiving dinner: They’re old, and they’re asleep.

On Monday, NBC News broke what some media and political commentators viewed as a blockbuster story about Sen. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) involving the slave-owning history of some of his ancestors.

The report centered around searches done of McConnnell’s family history by way of “ancestry and census records.” Here’s what they found:

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who said recently he opposes paying government reparations to the descendants of American slaves, has a family history deeply entwined in the issue: Two of his great-great-grandfathers were slave owners, U.S. census records show.

The two great-great-grandfathers, James McConnell and Richard Daley, owned a total of at least 14 slaves in Limestone County, Alabama — all but two of them female, according to the county “Slave Schedules” in the 1850 and 1860 censuses.

The details about McConnell’s ancestors, discovered by NBC News through a search of ancestry and census records, came in the wake of recent hearings on reparations before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Civil Liberties. Asked about the reparations issue, McConnell, R-Ky., said he was opposed to the idea, arguing it would be hard to figure out whom to compensate.

Even if you hadn’t read the story itself, the headline and subheadline to it tell you all you need to know about why the story was done in the first place: To shame the Senator for taking what the news network views as a conveniently calculated position against reparations:

Screen grab via NBC News.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) was incredulous that NBC News even found this to be newsworthy:

Former Red State managing editor Erick Erickson – now the editor at The Resurgent, called this story out for what it is:

There literally is no journalistic or newsworthy purpose for this article except to apply pressure on McConnell to not block slave reparations legislation. There is none. As the article itself notes,

Louis Cain, professor emeritus at Loyola University Chicago and an expert on the economics of slavery, said more Americans have been stained by slavery than they realize. “I suspect with the mobility of the American population in the 20th and 21st centuries, most of us have ancestors that owned slaves, including many individuals who did not arrive until well after the Civil War,“ Cain said. “The responsibility for what happened was collective, not individual.”

This completely undermines the purpose of the article. If the responsibility is collective, singling out McConnell is ridiculous, but that’s exactly what NBC News is doing because it is not reporting news. It is working to advance the hucksters’ reparations agenda.

Similar point made here:

Bingo.

The journalism community – both inside and outside of NBC, were quick to share, write up their own versions, and/or praise the report and defend the journalists behind it from accusations of an agenda.

Here’s NBC News digital reporter Jon Allen trying to justify the report:

Tim Perone is an assistant managing editor for NBC News digital:

Here’s NBC News correspondent Morgan Radford, in one of the more obvious displays of agenda-driven journalistic commentary:

Move along, no agenda to see here.

Clay Travis notes that the Louisville Courier‘s headline was arguably worse than NBC‘s:

Key point from John Hayward and others surrounding this story:

And how convenient was the timing of this story? Very, very convenient:

Here are some more burning questions the mainstream media won’t answer about this story:

Related: If the mainstream media are so good at digging into family histories, how did they so badly botch the Sen. Elizabeth Warren fake Native American heritage story?

Doing a quick scan of reactions to the story last night and today on social media and other websites, I was pleasantly surprised to see how many rank and file leftists (not the ones are perpetually outraged) say they didn’t think story was fair to McConnell. ‘Blaming him for the sins of his ancestors isn’t right’ was the key take away I got from much of what I read in comments.

It’s very obvious why the media ran this story. NBC News and their defenders can try to explain it away all they want to, but it’s very clear what the agenda was here – and it wasn’t journalism.

Democrats have found their woman in Kentucky. Amy McGrath, who managed to lose the most winnable swing seat in the state in 2018 during an election that heavily favored Democrats, is going to challenge Mitch McConnell.

This of course has the media salivating. MSNBC even did a coordinated roll out, including a hit piece about McConnell’s ancestors owning slaves and a softball Morning Joe interview today. They aren’t even trying to hide that they are a campaign arm of the Democratic party at this point.

Here’s “journalist” Kasey Hunt fangirling over the news.

I’ll go ahead and spoil things. This is not going to be a “blockbuster” race.

This is a state that Trump won by 30% in 2016. Even in 2014, McConnell vanquished a much stronger candidate by 15 points. The difference between 2014 and 2020 is that Republicans actually like Mitch McConnell now, both because he’s shown backbone in major battles under Trump and because his social media team have managed to make him far more likable. If anything, he’s in a better position today than he was in his last election.

McConnell’s team is already hitting McGrath on her numerous weaknesses.

McGrath is just an awful candidate to run against McConnell. You don’t win statewide in Kentucky by saying you are the “most progressive person” in the state. That’s going to haunt her in a largely Republican state running against the Senate Majority Leader who’s suddenly earned a positive following, even the anti-establishment, conservative right.

The Beto O’Rourke comparison is spot-on, except the beat down will be much worse in the end. The media are going to pump this race, paint McGrath as historic figure, and present a narrative that McConnell isn’t going to actually beat her by double digits. In the end, it won’t be close and Democrats will set lots of money on fire to lose an already solidly red seat.

The Reason Why the Home Depot Boycott Was Doomed to Fail Before It Even Began Is Simple

Westlake Legal Group d061caa1-af71-4d5d-a440-deb8d23318ef-620x317 The Reason Why the Home Depot Boycott Was Doomed to Fail Before It Even Began Is Simple Politics Never Trumpers millennials life skills home depot Front Page Stories Featured Story donald trump democrats Culture boycott Bernie Marcus Allow Media Exception

Earlier I covered the fact that the co-founder of Home Depot, Bernie Marcus, was revealed to be a Trump supporter who plans on donating millions to Trump’s campaign for 2020 just like he did for Trump in 2016. This sparked a trending Twitter hashtag “#BoycottHomeDepot” which, upon exploring the hashtag on the site for a bit, produced far more backlash against supporters of the hashtag than agreement with it.

As I wrote Tuesday morning, what’s likely going to happen is that Home Depot may actually experience a small spike profits due to people shopping there out of spite. It happened with Chick-fil-A and Hobby Lobby, and there’s no reason to believe Home Depot won’t experience the same bump.

But even if people don’t go to Home Depot to troll the outrage brigades on the left with their wallets, Home Depot likely won’t suffer one lost cent due to the internet hashtag and it’s for a very simple reason.

The people who are boycotting Home Depot don’t go to Home Depot.

Let’s break this down. The solid majority of people who would support a hashtag like this, or even know what a hashtag is, are around Millennial aged. I’m sad to say, as a member of that generation, that millennials are too often inept when it comes to skills older generations easily understood.

In 2014, author and economist Neil Howe wrote a piece in Forbes detailing studies that showed millennials are sorely lacking life skills despite the fact that they are the most educated generation the world has ever produced:

In fact, Millennials are unfamiliar with a broad range of life skills. They are less likely than older generations to know how to sew, make basic home repairs, or drive manual-transmission cars. With GPS always at their fingertips, many never really learned to use physical landmarks to guide them. Some can’t even imagine how people functioned before mobile IT. One Millennial wrote an article asking older people how they used to look up information, meet up with friends in public places, and handle getting lost without smartphones. A Boomer responded that he visited the library, scheduled meet-ups, and learned to read a road map.

Millennials can’t be fully blamed for this. Technology has advanced so far that needing to learn these things hasn’t become as important as it used to be. If a millennial presses the right buttons on their smart phone, someone will show up to their door and fix whatever problem they’re having with their home. Howe even makes mention of this:

Generational traits are also contributing to this attitudinal shift. Millennials tend to trust “the system” and don’t mind relying on digital infrastructure for everything. Boomers and Xers are more likely to think that one day it might fail them. So they have backup plans. As one “modern survival” blogger put it in a post about the younger generation, if and when everything goes wrong, “there are so many that will just be so clueless. No common sense and no skills.”

Back to the Home Depot boycott. A lot of the people expressing rage at the fact that someone would dare to support Trump openly are likely the same ones that, should something break in their home, would call a person to come fix it. That blue collar worker who is going to fix the problem is going to have to go somewhere to get the materials necessary to fix the problem.

Chances are he’s going to go to Home Depot. Everything he would need he can find it there in one spot.

And that man likely supports Trump. According to the Washington Examiner, blue collar workers like Trump, and even those whom were expected to go to Biden ended up heading in the opposite direction. This includes the older generations who are more likely to visit Home Depot themselves:

In a survey of key battleground states conducted after Biden entered the 2020 Democratic primary, Trump not only has a 46%-44% edge, but he has a 26-point lead among non-college educated workers earning $75,000 or less, considered the blue-collar base and a Biden target.

What’s more, the battleground state survey from WPA Intelligence showed that Trump does better with Biden’s other main support group, older voters, and has a 48%-44% lead over Biden in Florida, dubbed the Democrat’s “firewall.”

The Home Depot boycott, despite its status as a viral trending hashtag, is about as hollow and hefty as a Wiffle ball.

One of the standard claims regularly made by the left is that Donald Trump has used federal law enforcement to go after his enemies. While there is no evidence whatsoever to indicate that any of Trump’s enemies have received any scrutiny from law enforcement, there is a great deal of evidence to indicate that President Trump and the people round him have been targeted for investigation because Democrats have demanded it. The latest point of reference is GOP fundraiser Elliott Broidy.

Federal prosecutors have intensified their wide-ranging federal investigation into Elliott Broidy, a top fund-raiser for President Trump, signaling the Justice Department’s continued interest in questions about foreign influence on the administration.

In recent months, federal authorities have searched Mr. Broidy’s Southern California office and subpoenaed records related to him from a onetime business partner and from Mr. Trump’s inaugural committee. They have reportedly asked the authorities in Romania for assistance investigating associates with whom Mr. Broidy worked to win military intelligence contracts potentially worth as much as $64 million.

They have also charged four people who worked with Mr. Broidy on plans to influence the administration, including on behalf of interests in Asia, the Middle East and Europe. While the charges against three of his associates were unrelated to their work with Mr. Broidy, most have been asked about their relationships with him, according to several people familiar with the investigation.

Taken together, the steps suggest mounting pressure on Mr. Broidy. And they underscore the legal questions raised by his efforts to parlay his access into business advantage in the frenetic weeks after Mr. Trump’s election, and then to influence the new administration’s policies toward the Middle East, where he was pursuing contracts worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

Just some quick points here. First, this is not Broidy’s first rodeo in regards to similar accusations. The allegations seem to be that Broidy got access to the Trump campaign by raising money. According to the allegations, Broidy got free tickets to events because he was a fundraiser. He gave the free tickets to various people with whom he wished to do business. And, because these people were foreign nationals, this is a violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act which forbids giving foreign officials anything “of value” in order to try to win business. There is no evidence, beyond the allegation, that anything like this took place.

I’m totally agnostic on this because I’m not a lawyer and I only know what I’ve read in the New York Times which means that I don’d know very much. But the facts in this case have little bearing on the issue.

So how did this come about?

Shortly after the inauguration, Elizabeth Warren and Richard “Rambo” Blumenthal asked the Justice Department then under the management of Dan Boente to investigate their claim that Broidy “used access to President Trump as a valuable enticement to foreign officials who may be in a position to advance Mr. Broidy’s business interests abroad.”

It would seem that where Justice hasn’t had the time to look at any of the criminal referrals issued by House Intelligence, Judiciary, or Oversight Committees when it was controlled by the GOP, it sort of tripped over its own feet doing the bidding of Warren and Blumenthal.

With Justice supinely acting as a Democrat party enforcer, Warren is now making a campaign issue of an investigation that she demanded of a political opponent who has yet to be charged with a crime, much less convicted.

The fight Warren is carrying on is less about corruption than it is about score settling and damaging the Trump administration and if an innocent man suffers loss of time, money, property, reputation, or even freedom in the service of that goal, well, too bad. Regardless of the merits of the case, campaigning on using your personal clout to strong arm the Justice Department into investigating someone who is a political opponent is something that just isn’t done in American politics. Trump supporters might chant “lock her up” at Hillary Clinton, but Hillary’s ample ass remains free and staggering about the countryside and there is zero chance that she’s indicted because that is not how our government is supposed to operate.

Attorney General Bill Barr needs to take a serious look at this nonsense and determine whether anyone besides a highly visible Trump fundraiser would be targeted for prosecution based on these facts. And why Department of Justice is taking cues from a couple of batsh** crazy Democrats and ignoring House GOP members. I think we all know the answer to that.

We’re only a few precious weeks into the summer, but while normal people have already taken the opportunity to ditch their phones and relax by the pool, go on vacation, and/or do other types of outdoorsy things they enjoy, the online outrage machine hasn’t stopped. In fact, it has been cranked up into even higher gears than normal.

The latest example comes from the liberal fauxtrage machine in response to the news that Home Depot’s co-founder announced he would be supporting President Trump’s reelection campaign:

Home Depot shoppers have been threatening to boycott the store after its co-founder, Bernie Marcus, revealed in a recent interview that he’d be donating to President Trump’s re-election bid.

“Never shopping @HomeDepot again,” wrote one Twitter user.

“Cutting up my card,” another said.

Marcus, who retired from Home Depot in 2002, has been a vocal Trump supporter in the past — despite not always agreeing with him.

“He’s got a businessman’s common sense approach to most things,” Marcus told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution in a recent interview, which has been making the rounds on social media.

Between the Home Depot boycott, Nike’s absurd decision not to sell the Betsy Ross flag-themed shoe, a Tempe, AZ Starbucks kicking out police officers, the disturbing Blue Bell ice cream licking incidents, and others, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) asked the same question Monday many of us are wondering about:

I was asking myself the same thing after finding out this week that air conditioning is sexist. The Internet Promotes Boycotting Home Depot After Retired Co-Founder Openly Says He’s Pro-Trump

The co-founder of Home Depot, Bernie Marcus, became wealthy as his stores opened up all sorts of possibilities for the DIYers and made it far easier for construction workers to operate. As a businessman who helped businesses build businesses, it should come as no surprise that Marcus appreciates businessmen, and so he seems to like Donald Trump.

In an interview with the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Marcus admitted that he likes Trump — while not agreeing with everything he does and says — and made it no secret that he’s donated millions to his campaign. He also plans to do so again. Not as much as he does to philanthropic causes, but enough to help the President’s reelection:

He also has been a major political donor. According to OpenSecrets.org, he was a top contributor to Donald Trump during his presidential run. And Marcus told the AJC that he plans to support the president’s re-election bid. While Trump “sucks” at communication, Marcus said, the president deserves praise for boosting U.S. jobs, confronting China on trade and taking action against Iranian and North Korean aggression.

Marcus said his political giving remains far smaller than what he gives to philanthropic causes and what he plans to give in the future.

As you can probably imagine, the left lost its ever loving mind over this and are now attempting to generate a boycott against Home Depot with a fancy new hashtag, “#BoycottHomeDepot.”

The hashtag went viral, but the problem is that tweets actually looking to promote the hashtag are far fewer than I expected with the hashtag allegedly being so popular. At the time of this writing, at least, much of the contributions to the hashtag are people making fun of the few people who are actually planning on boycotting the store because its co-founder is pro-Trump.

On that note, Marcus actually retired in 2002 and, once again, the left is wasting its outrage on something that won’t hurt the person guilty of wrong-think.

What will likely happen is that Home Depot won’t see any damages from this “boycott.” People who shop at Home Depot do so because it helps them do work and it’s the easiest place to shop for tools and materials. Like Chick-fil-A and Hobby Lobby before it, we can probably look forward to seeing people enthused to shop there just to spite people being angry about its now retired founder being a Trump backer.
