NY Times Op-Ed Recommends CBP Agents Be Publicly Shamed, But Claims ‘This Is Not Doxxing’

Westlake Legal Group Border_Agency_Journalist_Surveillance_40930-620x431 NY Times Op-Ed Recommends CBP Agents Be Publicly Shamed, But Claims ‘This Is Not Doxxing’ progressives Liberal Elitism Hypocrisy of New York TImes Front Page Stories Featured Story donald trump democrats Culture Conspiracy to destroy President Trump CBP agents doxxing Barack Obama Allow Media Exception 2020

New York Times author Kate Cronin-Furman, an assistant professor of human rights, wrote an op-ed on Saturday entitled “The Treatment of Migrants Likely ‘Meets the Definition of a Mass Atrocity’.” Her lede? “Children are suffering and dying. The fastest way to stop it is to make sure those responsible, including the foot soldiers, face consequences.” Cronin-Furman emphasizes that   “this is not an argument for doxxing.”

She sure could have fooled us. She writes:

The identities of the individual Customs and Border Protection agents who are physically separating children from their families and staffing the detention centers are not undiscoverable. Immigration lawyers have agent names; journalists reporting at the border have names, photos and even videos. These agents’ actions should be publicized, particularly in their home communities.

This is not an argument for doxxing — it’s about exposure of their participation in atrocities to audiences whose opinion they care about. The knowledge, for instance, that when you go to church on Sunday, your entire congregation will have seen you on TV ripping a child out of her father’s arms is a serious social cost to bear. The desire to avoid this kind of social shame may be enough to persuade some agents to quit and may hinder the recruitment of replacements. For those who won’t (or can’t) quit, it may induce them to treat the vulnerable individuals under their control more humanely. In Denmark during World War II, for instance, strong social pressure, including from the churches, contributed to the refusal of the country to comply with Nazi orders to deport its Jewish citizens.

The writer cites a pediatrician who traveled to a center and compared it to a “torture facility.” Cronin-Furman agrees with him. She ought to know, she explains, since she has studied mass atrocities for over a decade. The op-ed continues:

If, as appears to be the case, these harsh conditions have been intentionally inflicted on children as part a broader plan to deter others from migrating, then it meets the definition of a mass atrocity: a deliberate, systematic attack on civilians. And like past atrocities, it is being committed by a complex organizational structure made up of people at all different levels of involvement.

Thinking of what’s happening in this way gives us a repertoire of tools with which to fight the abuses, beyond the usual exhortations to call our representatives and donate to border charities.

Those of us who want to stop what’s happening need to think about all the different individuals playing a role in the systematic mistreatment of migrant children and how we can get them to stop participating.

She suggests a variety of remedies. “For someone who is “just following orders,” the prospect of being internationally shamed as a rights abuser and being unable to travel freely may be significant enough to persuade them to stop participating.”

Cronin-Furman doesn’t ask for the addresses of agents be revealed, only that they be publicly shamed. Sounds an awful lot like  doxxing to me.

Instead of employees trying to cope with the throngs of migrants who are trying to enter the U.S. illegally and have been told over and over again that they won’t be allowed in, she claims they are “arguably directly responsible for torture.”

She knows that the same laws were in effect and the same facilities were in operation during the Obama administration. In a 2014 interview with ABC, Obama said, “Do not send your children to the border…if they make it, they will be sent back.”

Obama also said, “Undocumented workers broke our immigration laws, and I believe that they must be held accountable…U.S. border personnel will stem the flow of illegal crossings and speed the return of those who do cross over.”

CBP employees are not trying to inflict torture on children or anyone else. They are trying their best to manage the continuous throngs of migrants who are trying to enter the U.S. illegally. Cronin-Furman’s op-ed is sheer propaganda. She is exploiting the current humanitarian crisis at our southern border for political purposes.

Many Twitter users found Cronin-Furman’s  op-ed to be a bit over the top. Here are a few of their reactions, most of which cite either the op-ed itself or Allapundit’s post (Hotair.com) about it. (Via Twitchy)

From Allapundit: “Hooooo boy.”

From Stephen Miller: “This is not an argument for doxxing” they wrote right after making an argument for doxxing.”

Others:

“This is not an argument for doxxing” they write as they argue for doxxing Border Patrol agents.”

“They are the same agents, doing the same work, under the same policies & in the same facilities as they did under Barack Obama. So this had zero to do with what they do. It has everything to do with who is President.”

“The names of agents Obama had putting kids in cages were never fair game. Or his people that were drone striking weddings. Or Hillary’s staffers that turned Honduras into a warzone kicking off the migrant crisis.
Wanna know why? Because journos are all Dem operatives now.”

“New York Times publishes oped calling for the harassment and doxing of everyone involved in immigration enforcement.”

“(This is absolutely an argument for doxxing)”

“Holy shit. There is only one reason to do this, to expose these agents to abuse and potential violence. The New York Times is run by some seriously sick people.”

“Reminder that the left wants normal people defending the country destroyed.”

“Doxxing law enforcement to own the cons. What could go wrong?”

“So the New York Times supports doxxing. Good to know.”

“Now imagine the NYT saying this about abortionists and clinic workers and all who work for Planned Parenthood. Even given the horror of abortion, we pro lifers have never considered this. This is the left now. Be prepared.”

“The NYT just keeps making Trump’s argument for him.”

Next up from the NY Times opinion page: “Should We Call Detention Centers Concentration Camps?”

In Response to the Debates, Bill Maher Makes His List of 10 Democratic Candidates Who Should Quit Immediately

After the first Democratic debate this week, Bill Maher had a piece of advice for 10 Oval Office hopefuls: Stop running for president.

Here’s what the HBO host told his show’s panel Friday night:

Look, there’s too many people in this race. So we saw them last night and the night before. I’ll give you veto rights, but I’m going to get rid of 10 of them right now. Is that okay? And if you disagree, just say.

Unsurprisingly, Bill doesn’t have any faith in the underdogs. Amid F words, he showed a photo of each candidate:

This guy, Hickenlooper. Nice guy. No, get out. Nice guy. Get the f*** out

This is Michael Bennett. You know if you Google Michael Bennett, the first five that come up aren’t even this guy. Get the f*** out.

Oh, vice principal Delaney. Nice guy. Nothing here. Get out.

Tim Ryan. I think he said one good thing. No.

Kirsten Gillbrand. Al Franken says “Hello.”

Eric Swallwell. I like him. But you know, too young, it looked like he was wearing a toupe last night. Get the f*** out.

He 86’d Marianne Williamson and Andrew Yang…

So what of Beto “Anti-Privileged Millionaire Privileged Millionaire” O’Rourke (here)?

MSNBC host Joy Reid intervened, “Not youth pastor Beto. He reminds me of my daughter’s youth pastor. So, I feel badly.”

Maher quipped,”Here, you can keep the picture. But he’s not looking good.”

How ’bout New York Mayor Bill deBlasio, who wants to confiscate people’s money and decide who to give it to instead (here)?

Bill dropped the hammer:

“And this guy, start spreading the news. You’re leaving.”

So there you have it — Bill’s List of Losers.

What are yours? Who do you think will make it to the finals? Which Democrats look most likely to become the official nominee?

Let us all know in the Comments section.

In response to two lawsuits, U.S. District Court Judge Haywood Gilliam ruled on Friday that the Trump administration could not use military funds to pay for construction of a border wall.

The first lawsuits had been brought by a group which includes the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the Sierra Club, and the Southern Border Communities Coalition.

Following a losing battle with House Democrats to secure funding for the wall, President Trump declared a national emergency and diverted $6.7 billion of mostly military funds to pay for the wall. Specifically, $3.6 billion was to come from military construction funds, $2.5 billion from Defense Department counterdrug activities and $600 million from the Treasury Department’s asset forfeiture fund.

Gilliam’s ruling bars Trump from tapping the $2.5 billion from Defense Department counterdrug activities and has stopped construction at various sites in New Mexico, California, Arizona and Texas. Gilliam, obviously, is an Obama appointee.

Trump administration attorneys maintained that it was lawful to to use the military funds because the national emergency was “unforeseen.” Additionally, they “claimed that if they are unable to award the federal dollars to contractors by the end of the fiscal year, they may lose the funding.”

Gilliam’s ruling stated:

The administration lawyers present no new evidence or argument for why the court should depart from its prior decision, and it will not…

Because no new factual or legal arguments persuade the court that its analysis in the preliminary injunction order was wrong, [the groups’] likelihood of success on the merits has ripened into actual success.

Gilliam also wrote that the plaintiffs would “suffer irreparable harm” because it “will harm their ability to recreate in and otherwise enjoy public land along the border.”

He added that he does not “minimize the administration’s interest in border security,” but stated that “the balance of hardships and public interest favors is in favor of the groups opposing the wall.”

According to The Hill, Gilliam did not rule on whether or not the “administration was in violation of the National Environmental Policy Act.”

ACLU attorney Dror Ladin put out a statement which said, “Congress was clear in denying funds for Trump’s xenophobic obsession with a wasteful, harmful wall. This decision upholds the basic principle that the president has no power to spend taxpayer money without Congress’ approval.”

Sierra attorney Gloria Smith, issued a statement which said they

Applaud the court’s decision to protect our Constitution, communities, and the environment today.

We’ve seen the damage that the ever-expanding border wall has inflicted on communities and the environment for decades. Walls divide neighborhoods, worsen dangerous flooding, destroy lands and wildlife, and waste resources that should instead be used on the infrastructure these communities truly need.

The second lawsuit was brought on behalf of the states of New Mexico and California, which claimed that construction “would damage the environment and infringe upon” those states’ rights. Gilliam agreed with them, “but determined that they did not reach the bar needed for him to issue a permanent injunction in that case.”

California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, who obviously was happy with the rulings, issued a statement as well:

The rulings critically stop President Trump’s illegal money grab to divert $2.5 billion of unauthorized funding for his pet project.

All President Trump has succeeded in building is a constitutional crisis, threatening immediate harm to our state. President Trump said he didn’t have to do this and that he would be unsuccessful in court. Today we proved that statement true.

President Trump, understandably, was angry with Gillian’s ruling and has vowed to appeal. At a G20 press conference, Trump called the decision a “disgrace” and said “We’re immediately appealing it and we think we’ll win the appeal. There was no reason that that should have happened.”

Some Never Trump Figures Suddenly Discover What Other Republicans Did Years Ago

Westlake Legal Group Brooks-620x349 Some Never Trump Figures Suddenly Discover What Other Republicans Did Years Ago Trump voters Trump The New York Times radicalism Progressivism Politics Jennifer Rubin Front Page Stories Front Page Flight 93 Election Featured Story Far Left donald trump democrats Democrat Party democrat debate David Brooks bret stephens ana navarro 2020 election 2018 Election

An interesting thing happened in some Never Trump circles after the Democratic primary debates ended last Thursday night. While it won’t change the calculous of those we are about to discuss, it at least has them finally admitting the imperfect reality that drove the decision of many Trump voters in 2016.

To preface, we need to establish exactly what group of Never Trump figures we are talking about here.

The movement made a dramatic split in 2018 before the mid-term elections. While some Never Trump members realized that supporting Democrats to flex their opposition to Trump was a foolhardy move that did nothing to move the ball forward, there was a not insignificant contingent of the Never Trump movement that outright endorsed electing Democrats across the board, not just in 2018, but preemptively for 2020 also.

It just so happened that many of these Never Trump figures also had the biggest platforms. People like David Brooks, Bret Stephens, David Frum, Bill Kristol, Ann Navarro, and Jennifer Rubin all came out in support of electing Democrats.

That’s the group being discussed in this article and the distinction is important. While I may disagree with the other faction of Never Trump’s reasoning for abstaining, I can at least understand their position. What I can’t do is respect those supporting Democrats simply to go after Donald Trump, something no real conservative could ever actually justify with any appeal to principle. For the purpose of this article, I’m addressing the latter group, many of whom I named above.

With that out of the way, I want to focus on two articles published this week by Never Trump leaders David Brooks and Bret Stephens, both writers for The New York Times.

In a pathetic plea to a party that’s been objectively catering to the far-left for well over a decade, David Brooks begs Democrats to not continue being leftwing because it may drive him away.

I’ll also note that while Brooks makes claims of morality in his piece, he’s got a story much akin to insufferable moralist Charlie Sykes. Namely, he cheated on his wife and then married his researcher. Many of these people are not the best voices to make the moral case against Trump.

Before we get into the dynamics of all this though, here’s Stephens’ similar piece to compare.

I’m left scratching my head by what I’m reading.

What exactly did any of these Never Trump voices think the Democrat party was? Are they really claiming any of this is new?

Although they’ll never admit it, they are actually articulating the issue that led millions of otherwise Trump skeptics in 2016 to go ahead and vote for him. When given a choice between generally conservative policy, past affairs, and Twitter bluster vs. voting for Hillary Clinton and a radically progressive Democrat party, many made the former choice.

For that they got savaged by people like David Brooks and Bret Stephens as being unprincipled sell-outs, bad Christians, and hypocrites. All for deciding that making a choice was preferable to not making a choice.

Suddenly, these people are discovering that the Democrat party isn’t actually a viable alternative after pushing to vote for it in 2018 and 2020 until now? Come on.

While Brooks and Stephens make their case for the Democrat party to moderate, they are getting exactly the answers they deserve.

Did they really think the Democrat party was going to welcome them with open arms? Conform to their viewpoints? If they did, then their judgement is shown to be even worse than I thought.

This was always the actual offer, even as they thumbed their nose at those saying that actively pushing the Democrat party was a self-destructive move.

Given that, why would Brooks or Stephens ever think that going to the Democrat party was a viable option?  I don’t know, but Trump makes people do weird things.

Here’s my position. If you want to not vote for Trump, I’m not going to berate you for that. In the face of what we saw up on that stage Wednesday and Thursday, I can’t agree with that decision, but there’s daylight between not voting for Trump and outright pushing the radicalism of the Democrat party just to spite Trump.

In the case of Never Trumpers who endorsed Democrats and asked Americans to vote for them despite those of us who said that’s a ridiculous notion, they don’t get to now pretend the radicalism of the left is a new, unforeseen thing bursting on the scene in mid-2019.

That reality has been apparent to many of us for years and it was the reason many decided voting for Trump made the most sense 2016.

Had those specific Never Trump figures handled the matter differently instead of resorting to attacking the personal morality of Republican voters, I could perhaps muster some sympathy for the position Brooks, Stephens, and others now find themselves in.

But they didn’t and I don’t. So enjoy your new friends.

Beto Insists Central Americans Have ‘No Choice’ but to Attempt Illegal Immigration Because You Starved Them with Your ‘Excesses’

Beto O’Rourke seems desperate to win.

The kind of desperate that results in things like his inexplicable Spanish mid-debate.

Or how about this: In an apparent effort to appeal to the commoners, he vowed to destroy America’s privileged millionaires (here). Curiously, he evidently forgot that he’s a what? A privileged millionaire — he inherited his millions, and his wife’s father is worth $500 million.

Dear Beto,

If you want to preach the destruction of privileged wealth, you have to give away all yours first. That’s the easiest one to destroy — your own. Make a donation. Give it all away. Lead by example. Otherwise, informed voters’ll think you’re a goob.

Personally, I don’t think you should surrender your riches; but I also don’t believe you have the right to strip others of theirs.

Continuing his strained attempt at the brass ring of Popular Candidate, on Wednesday, Beto claimed that Mexicans and Central Americans have “no choice” but to try to get into America without going through the provided system in order to get into America — aka immigration.

And — lest you think it isn’t your fault — those folks are having to not go through America’s immigration system (?) because of you and me (and Beto?). You see, our “excesses” caused global warming. And that caused drought. And that caused all the people to have to come here.

I’m not clear as to why they were forced to not utilize our immigration system, but this is a campaign so let’s just go with it.

Here’s Beto, while visiting Florida’s Homestead Temporary Shelter for Unaccompanied Children. Oh — one more thing: We’re dumb when it comes to science (like here?).

Take the floor, Beto:

“[W]e’ve got to remember that they are fleeing the deadliest countries on the face of the planet today compounded by drought that was caused not by God, not by mother nature, but by us. Man-made climate change, our emissions, our excesses, our inaction in the face of the facts and the science — when it is that deadly, and when you’re unable to grow your own food to feed yourself, you have no choice but to come here.”

Does he believe everyone in Mexico and Central America has to grow their own food?

Either way, it’s your fault, ExcessPeople.

Apart from his marriage, 46-year-0ld Beto’s worth $9 million. The median net worth of the American family at his age is $124,000. Can he, then, just take responsibility for illegal immigration and leave us out of it?

And if he’s done something so crappy as to force all these people to uproot themselves and involuntarily attempt to break the law, how is it that he deserves to be president? If we were to elect someone responsible for such a turd move, we might not even be a country worth being forced to sneak into.

More questions to be answered, as we continue on this bizarro path to 2020.

-ALEX

Ocasio-Cortez Attempts to Pander to Christians Again, and It Blows Up In Her Face

Westlake Legal Group AlexandriaOcasioCortez-June2019-620x317 Ocasio-Cortez Attempts to Pander to Christians Again, and It Blows Up In Her Face socialism Politics pandering Front Page Stories Featured Story Faith democrats Culture & Faith Christianity AOC Allow Media Exception Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

If there’s one thing we know about Rep. Alexandria Ocaiso-Cortez (D) it’s that she is a seasoned panderer. I can’t say that she’s an expert at it at this time due to the fact that her pandering often times ends up going horribly for her.

The latest attempt was once again aimed at getting Christians to side with her on socialism.

An article written by Obery M. Hendricks Jr. at Sojourner attempted to sell us on the Biblical values of AOC’s socialism. The congresswoman couldn’t wait to show off just how into the faith she was by tweeting out about it with a Bible verse she cherry picked.

“Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me,” tweeted AOC.

Christians immediately showed up to laugh her off the stage.

To be clear, as I explain in detail, Jesus was not a socialist. Every now and again, socialists like AOC will attempt to sell us a narrative that Christ supports government seizure of the means of production. It’s a lazy narrative that’s backed by very little evidence, and as AOC demonstrates, it usually boils down to cherry picking various verses out of the Bible in order to back their point. As usual, a little education goes a long way to clearing the narrative that socialism attempts to dirty.

Ocasio-Cortez has attempted to hijack Biblical narratives and lessons multiple times in the past, and it’s never worked out for her. For one, she attempted to get Christians on board with her stance on illegal immigration by telling us that Jesus was a refugee. As I explained quite clearly, he wasn’t at all. A surface level look at the story of Jesus may lead one to believe he seemed like one, but even just scratching the surface shows us that he doesn’t qualify for the role.

The truth is that AOC doesn’t really care about Christians and Christianity. Sure she walks around with ashes on her forehead during Ash Wednesday…

But then she’ll go on to tell us that prayers don’t work. Ya know, prayers. The primary means of communication with almighty God and a cornerstone of the Christian faith. For someone so filled with faith, you’d think she’d have a much higher regard for it.

Ocasio-Cortez sees Christianity as useful, but she doesn’t seem to be looking for Christ. She’ll embrace it with the intention to pander to Christians who she thinks are stupid enough to be won over by quoting cherry picked Bible verses, then ditch it the moment its usefulness has run its course.

Jimmy Carter Says Trump ‘Didn’t Actually Win the Election’

Earlier today, former President Jimmy Carter called President Donald Trump an “illegitimate” president who “didn’t actually win the election in 2016.”

Carter made the comments at a Carter Center conference in Virginia. USA Today’s Susan Page was the first to report about it, posting several tweets detailing remarks made at the conference. Carter’s Vice President, Walter Mondale, also spoke at the conference and accused Trump of showing “symptoms of psychological problems.”

A transcript of Carter’s comments, via Mediate:

“I think the interference, though not yet quantified, should be fully investigated and would show that Trump didn’t actually win the election in 2016, he lost the election,” Carter said.

“He was put into office because the Russians interfered,” he said. Carter was then asked if that meant he believed Trump was illegitimate.

“Based on what I said, which I can’t retract,” Carter responded, prompting laughter from the audience.

Video of the conference is also posted at C-SPAN.

Americans have differing opinions about the scope and impact of Russian interference in the 2016 election, largely based on their partisan allegiances, but one thing that we do not have is evidence of Russians (or any other country, entity, or individual) hacking actual ballots or vote totals.

People cast ballots across the country in the 2016 presidential election, and more people in enough states voted for Trump over Hillary Clinton to give him more electoral votes. He “actually” did win the election. Therefore, Donald Trump is a “legitimate” president. This is not complicated.

There are plenty of reasons to be critical of Trump and prefer another candidate for president in 2020. Carter has the same free speech rights as the rest of us to voice such opinions and encourage Americans to vote against Trump next year. But peddling in these kinds of delusional conspiracy theories risks becoming a sad footnote on Carter’s final years of life.

The 94-year-old former peanut farmer had some notorious struggles and policy failures during his one term in the White House, but avoided personal scandals and is widely respected for his Christian faith and volunteer service, perhaps most notably for Habitat for Humanity.

Stick with building houses, Mr. President. Tin foil hats aren’t a good look for you.

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) speaks during the Democratic presidential debate – 6/27/19. Screen grab via NBC News.

Leave it to the Babylon Bee to be the voice of reason after two nights of tumultuous Democratic presidential debates.

During the early part of Thursday night’s debate in Miami, FL, several of the candidates started talking over each other – and the moderators couldn’t get control of the situation. That’s when Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) stepped in:

It was Sen. Kamala Harris’ turn to speak as the rhetoric was flying Thursday night at the second 2020 Democratic presidential debate.

As her fellow candidates shouted around her, the former California state attorney general smiled and raised her hands.

“Hey, guys, you know what? America does not want to witness a food fight. They want to know how we’re going to put food on their table,” Harris said to raucous cheers and applause.

Her parting of the debate waters in Miami came after an exchange between former Vice President Joe Biden and Rep. Eric Swalwell of California on old vs. new leadership within the Democratic Party — and other candidates had wanted in.

Watch video of the segment below:

In the aftermath of the debate, numerous fact checks were done by mainstream media news outlets about the candidates and their claims on various issues including border security, abortion, and the Green New Deal.

The Babylon Bee, however, zeroed in on probably the most disputed claim of the night: Was Harris telling the truth when she said Americans didn’t want to see a food fight break out?

As it turns out, she was wrong:

When polled, over 90% of Americans responded to the survey, “FOOD FIGHT! FOOD FIGHT! FOOD FIGHT!”

Many said that seeing the massive food battle royale between the many candidates would bring them much more joy than Kamala Harris putting food on their table.

In fact, it is also false that Americans want Kamala Harris putting food on their table at all.

Again, a vast majority of those surveyed responded that they were happy to put their own food on their own table, thank you very much, despite the detailed report from the Harris campaign that outlines a delicious “gruel cube” delivered weekly to every home [for] American families to gnaw on for seven days, providing all the needed nutrients, vitamins, and energy with much less waste.

I think in Politifact terms, Harris’s claim would come pretty close to being classified as a “pants on fire” lie.

Because of course most Americans wanted to see a food fight last night. Amirite?

In all seriousness, props to the Bee for catching something a lot of us didn’t: That Harris said “They want to know how we’re going to put food on their table” as if it’s the government’s responsibility to provide for all Americans.

Ted Cruz On Dem Debates: The Clown Car Is Broken, There’s No Brake And It Only Steers To The Left

How bad were this week’s Democratic debates? Well…if you like socialism, pandering and hearing 20 candidates bash President Trump whenever they possibly can, they were fine.

By most accounts, however, they were a dumpster fire. With the exception of Bernie Sanders who is and always has been a Democratic Socialist and has never presented himself as anything else, hypocrisy was on full display. The other candidates, many of whom were once considered moderate Democrats, spent their time trying to out-liberalize each other. We watched as they abandoned long-held political beliefs in their pursuit of power.

Game show host Pat Sajak offered the best assessment of widely panned debates. He tweeted, “This could be worse. It could be a dinner party and I could be there.”

MSNBC’s professional Trump critic Joe Scarborough thought they were so bad, he apologized to his viewers saying his only hope is that people were not watching. He said the candidates were criticizing each other instead of focusing their ire on President Trump. He explained:

So they’re lined up in trench warfare, ready to get out of the trenches and charge Donald Trump. Instead, they all turn their guns on each other and shoot each other, and everybody is yelling at each other all night.

If you’re an American and this is your introduction to these candidates and the Democratic Party, and all you see are 12 people yelling at each other, trying to interrupt each other, insulting each other, you’re like, ‘You know what. I thought Donald Trump was a clown show. I’m changing the channel.’

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), who I’ve come to like a lot over the last few years, appeared on “Hannity ” last night to weigh in on the debates. (Relevant segment begins at 11:30 in the video below.)

Look the debate last night…the clown car is broken. There’s no brakes and it only steers to the left. It was scary to see the Democrats, every one of them, falling all over one another to get further and further and further left. You saw them embrace late term abortion, you saw them embrace 70 per cent tax rates, you saw them embrace socialism.

Cruz and Hannity discussed how most of the candidates took swipes at the Trump economy when, in fact, the economy is strong. Kamala Harris said the only Americans who are thriving in this economy are those who own stocks. She attributes the record low unemployment rate to people are working two or three jobs. That is just not true.

Cruz brought up a recent tweet from comedian Bill Maher which he himself retweeted. As liberal, disrespectful and obnoxious as he often is, he frequently surprises with his honest commentary.

All in all, the 2020 Democratic presidential debates showed Americans what the Democratic Party has become. And it was disturbing.

Jon Voight Responds to Alyssa Milano’s Castigation of Him as an ‘F-Lister’: ‘Ignorance Doesn’t Scare Me’

Jon Voight isn’t afraid to speak his mind. And he certainly isn’t concerned with what Hollywood thinks.

For a fantastic example, look no further than his video declaring Donald Trump “the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln” (here).

Very, very bold move.

Actress Alyssa Milano’s made some bold moves, too.

Like:

  • Retaliating against someone telling women what they can do with their bodies by telling women they should not do things with their bodies (here)
  • Pining for a day when the American government will grant women the rights enshrined in the Constitution (here)
  • Proclaiming that men cannot be allowed to be equal to women (here)
  • Forgetting there are police (here)
  • Demanding that all women are right because some women have been right (here)
  • Coming within three steps of outlawing height (here)

And recently, television’s Samantha Micelli addressed Angelina Jolie’s dad and his praise of the President…with this:

The “F-lister,” in this case, has an Oscar.

On Friday’s Fox & Friends, Jon responded to the woman who co-host Brian Kilmeade called “that legend…who might be the best actress ever”:

“Darling Alyssa. God bless you. … I pray God sends his light of truth on all those with no truth about the Republicans and about our president. And may God bless America.”

Jon went on to note that he was part of the anti-war movement of the 60’s, and that he later found truth.

“I have sympathy for people that are in ignorance. It doesn’t scare me. Ignorance doesn’t scare me. I was like that myself. I just root for everybody to come to the truth.”

He also lamented the indoctrination of the young and impressionable in the ways of socialism:

“If they knew anything about the Second World War, they’d know that socialism is a disaster. It’s never produced anything anywhere in the world. It’s an economic sinkhole, but it also produces nothing but misery and violence.”

I think most would agree that “if they knew anything” is applicable to much of political raging these days. Hopefully, for some, “when they know” does, too.
