House May Vote As Early As Today on Rep. Al Green’s Articles of Impeachment

Westlake Legal Group al-green-house-floor-SCREENSHOT-620x332 House May Vote As Early As Today on Rep. Al Green’s Articles of Impeachment Uncategorized Front Page Stories Featured Story

Rep. Al Green (D-TX) filed articles of impeachment against President Trump for his “racist” remarks against the “Squad” which he refers to as a “high misdemeanor.”

Asked by a reporter why he didn’t wait until after Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s testimony which is expected next week. Green replied, “The Mueller testimony has nothing to do with his bigotry. Nothing. Zero. Nada. We cannot wait. As we wait, we risk having the blood of somebody on our hands — and it could be a member of Congress.”

Like it or not, House leadership is required to act quickly on this resolution. According to the Washington Post:

Green’s move will force House Democrats to deal with the issue in the near term because of the privileged nature of the resolution. Under House rules, Democratic leadership can decide to try to table the impeachment articles, effectively killing them for now and risk criticism from the party’s liberal base; refer them to the House Judiciary Committee for possible consideration; or allow the vote to proceed.

If leaders do nothing, Green can force a vote on the impeachment articles in two legislative days.

The problem is that the caucus is already very divided on this issue and no matter which option House leadership takes, these divisions will grow wider.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi, mindful of the damage this will inflict on the Democratic Party, has worked to avoid this very situation.

The matter is likely to divide the caucus, which has grappled for months with the question of what to do about Trump. Even impeachment proponents seemed divided about whether it is wise to force the issue now. House Homeland Security Chairman Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) said he would support an immediate move to impeach the president, even voting against Democratic leaders should they try to refer the matter to committee to sideline the debate. …

Certain to be wary are moderates and lawmakers from districts that Trump won in 2016 who have long feared blowback for such a vote. Rep. Stephanie Murphy (Fla.), who leads the conservative Blue Dog Democrats, said, “I don’t think that we have completed the process or the investigations that we need to, to take that step at this time.” Rep. Jeff Van Drew (D-N.J.), a freshman from a swing district, said he would vote against the resolution.

“I don’t think we’re there yet. I don’t think it’s healthy,” he said of Green’s effort.

So, House leadership is faced with three bad choices. Each choice is certain to inflame one faction or another. A vote to move forward with impeachment will hurt newly elected members from districts where support for Trump is strong. If the vote fails, the progressive base will be incensed.

Pelosi would probably prefer the first option, that of tabling the resolution for now. Impeachment has been lurking in the shadows ever since the Democrats won the House majority anyway.

Hot Air’s Ed Morrissey suggests a more drastic approach:

The least-worst option from this smorgasbord of disaster for Pelosi might be to force an up-or-down vote on impeachment now. Rip the Band-Aid off quickly, let the bill die, and hope that there’s enough time ahead of the election to have this fade into distant memory. Trump would claim vindication from it, but that’s got a shelf life too. The closer this drags on to the election, the worse it gets for Pelosi.

At 10 am, NBC announced that the House will vote this afternoon between 4:30 and 5 pm on whether or not to immediately consider Green’s articles of impeachment.

Politico reports:

House leaders are likely to sideline Green’s measure with their own procedural vote: either moving to table his articles and delay them or to bottle them up in the Judiciary Committee. Green has said he’ll oppose either move, but a majority of Democrats are expected to side with leadership.

Democrats are warily watching to see if Republicans consider any procedural trickery. They worry that Republicans may join Green in opposing a delay and forcing the House to take an up-or-down vote on the articles of impeachment.

Fasten your seatbelts!

Majority of Mexicans Believe Illegal Immigrants Should Be Deported According to Recent Poll

Members of a US-bound migrant caravan stand on a road after federal police briefly blocked their way outside the town of Arriaga, Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018. Hundreds of Mexican federal officers carrying plastic shields had blocked the caravan from advancing toward the United States, after several thousand of the migrants turned down the chance to apply for refugee status and obtain a Mexican offer of benefits. (AP Photo/Rodrigo Abd)

The United States isn’t just having a migrant crisis. Mexico has a very serious problem with the number of people streaming through its country in order to try to get into the United States and frankly, they’re sick of it.

The latest poll by the Washington Post showed that six in ten Mexicans consider the migrants a burden on their country, and believes they are taking jobs that belong to them. What’s more, 55 percent believe that deporting migrants heading toward the United States is a good thing.

According to WaPo, the fact that Mexicans find themselves lining up more with Trump about immigration than originally perceived is surprising:

Those findings defy the perception that Mexico – a country that has sent millions of its own migrants to the United States, sending billions of dollars in remittances – is sympathetic to the surge of Central Americans. Instead, the data suggests Mexicans have turned against the migrants transiting through their own country, expressing antipathy that would be familiar to many supporters of President Donald Trump north of the border.

I don’t think I need to focus on the fact that Mexico is getting a taste of what it’s like to have a bunch of migrants come in and cause problems in your country. What’s more interesting is that WaPo is surprised by the fact that unchecked migration to the point of encouragement is causing more problems than they anticipated.

It’s also hilarious that in the face of these problems, WaPo is surprised that many people are beginning to understand what Trump has been talking about and are now more than ready to side with him against the issue.

The fun part will be watching how the left responds to this, if they choose to respond at all. It’s going to be difficult to pull the race card when speaking of the migrant crisis when the citizens of Mexico are also in line with deportation and border security. Racism is generally an accusation reserved for white people, but the left can’t call Mexicans racist. It would run contrary to their established narrative.

The undeniable fact is that a migrant crisis has nothing to do with race, and would be a problem no matter what color of skin a person has. Illegal immigration boils down to economic effects and crime, not what skin color a person has. Any accusation that concerns about illegal immigration is purely racial now has to answer to the fact that Mexicans are also on board with Trump’s policies.

CNN’s Brian Stelter Sees Epic Ratings Collapse Over the Past Six Months

Westlake Legal Group a2fe010c-d757-4860-9b67-f3b83bcaacb3-620x336 CNN’s Brian Stelter Sees Epic Ratings Collapse Over the Past Six Months Weebles viewership Tater Reliable Sources Ratings Collapse Politics media bias hack Front Page Stories Front Page fox news Featured Story dumpster fire CNN Brian Stelter

I knew CNN’s ratings were tanking, but my word at these latest numbers.

Brian Stelter, who fancies himself gatekeeper of the media sphere, spends his days obsessing over Fox News and ignoring all bad reporting and hackish behavior from his own network. He hosts a low-rated weekend show called “Reliable Sources,” where he claims to be an unbiased observer of media.

But when I say low-rated, even I was surprised at just how low. John Nolte compiled the two data points, but you can find the base numbers at the links below for verification.

Stelter, a left-wing conspiracy theorist who serves as a reactionary mouthpiece for his boss, Jeff Zucker, the far-left extremist responsible for running CNN into the ratings dirt, was at least able to average 967,000 viewers during the first four weeks of this year, from January 6 to January 27.

But during the four weeks that just passed —  from June 16 to July 7Reliable Sourceshas only been able to average 557,000 viewers.

That works out to be a whopping 42% drop in viewership in just six months. It’s hard to explain how just how awful that is. If CNN’s personalities were actually held to any real standards, Stelter would be staring at the unemployment line with a drop in audience like that.

But perhaps all cable news is doing badly and this is just a sign of a less engaged news media market over the past few months? Nah. For one, the news cycle is far more engaging right now than it was earlier in the year.

Secondly, here are Fox News’ numbers for their show “Media Buzz,” which is not only a time slot competitor to Reliable Sources, but also competes directly on content as a show reporting on the media.

During these last four weeks, between June 16 and July 7, MediaBuzz averaged more than twice as many viewers as Reliable Sources: 1.135 million compared to Stelter’s pathetic 557,000.

What’s more, during the first four weeks of the year, MediaBuzz averaged 1.372 million, which means MediaBuzz has only lost a negligible five percent of its viewers since the beginning of the year, which is a whole lot less than Stelter’s breathtaking 42 percent.

Just brutal for CNN and Stelter.

These people are only legends in their own mind. Their ratings continue to drop like a stone and they simply don’t have the influence they think they do. Imagining what their ratings would be without thousands of captive viewers within airports should be nightmarish for CNN’s top brass.

But they’ve decided it’s all about being anti-Trump at all times. So they’ll sit back and watch their ratings burn while hosting white nationalists to slap at Trump. There’s no integrity left at that dumpster fire of a network.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY., July 12, 2019, in Washington, and Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., July 10, 2019, in Washington. In tweets Sunday, President Donald Trump portrays the lawmakers as foreign-born troublemakers who should go back to their home countries. In fact, the lawmakers, except one, were born in the U.S. (AP Photo)

For the past month or so, a collection of anti-American–and in a couple of cases, virulently anti-Semitic and pro-terrorism–freshman members of Congress, who have styled themselves The Squad, have dominated Democrat politics. It is probably safe to say more media attention has been lavished upon them than on the Democrat presidential hopefuls. Sunday, President Trump criticized them in a series of tweets and the media leapt to their defense branding the tweets, President Trump, and everyone one the country who didn’t pee on themselves reading the tweets as racists. Since then, their whining about being victims is all the press has been interested in, other than calling the GOP racists, but the latter happens every day and so no one thinks much about it.

Last night, Tucker Carlson had Louisiana Senator John Kennedy as a guest and he gave the best description of The Squad that I’ve seen to date.

I hesitate to contribute to this freak show but I’ll give you my thoughts for what they’re worth. I don’t think President Trump is a racist.

I don’t think his original tweet was racist. I think it was a poor choice of words, which is why he clarified. What he’s said now, in clarification, this is not China, this is America. In America, if you hate our country you’re free to leave. Now he said that in response to the behavior of the four congresswomen you’re talking about, the so-called Squad.

I’m not sure the president should exchange playground insults with them. When you try to argue with a fool, that proves there are two. But the president decided to do so. The simple fact of the matter is that the four congresswomen think that America was wicked in its origins. They think America and its people are even more wicked now. That we are all racist and misogynistic and evil.

They are entitled to their opinion. They are Americans. But I’m entitled to my opinion, and I just think they are left-wing cranks and they are the reason that there are directions on a shampoo bottle. I think we should ignore them.”

I mostly agree with that. You don’t have to listen to any of this group talk very long to realize they are simply mouthing vapid anti-American shibboleths that signal to fellow members of the anti-American left that they are with them. They can do this because they come from districts where the number of GOP voters is de minimus and if you can get a fired-up group of supporters out to the polls in a low turnout primary, you will win the general election for want of opposition. What I don’t agree with is that we can afford to ignore them. The media has shown a total lack of curiosity about the obvious fundraising shenanigans involving AOC and her fascist-loving chief of staff Saikat Chakrabati–and by shenanigans, I mean federal felonies. They aren’t curious at all about Ilhan Oman marrying her own brother…or her obvious support of Islamic terrorism. In fact, the press has normalized their radicalism and has gone along with classifying any critique of their positions or opinions as racism or some other -ism or -phobia.

We need to elevate them. We need to make every utterance by these people the subject of discussion. We need to get Democrats at all levels, from dog catcher to presidential candidates, on the record defending their nonsense.

The fact that they can’t correctly use shampoo doesn’t mean they aren’t dangerous. In fact, it means just the opposite.

When it comes to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and her so-called freshman “Squad” Reps. Ayanna Pressley (MA), Ilhan Omar (MN), and Rashida Tlaib (MI), Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) has made it clear she is unafraid to push back on both their false narratives and their dangerous policy proposals.

Such was the case on Tuesday, when Cheney listed out all the reasons why Republicans oppose “The Squad”, noting that it had nothing to do with their race, gender, or religion, contra to media reports that stated otherwise in the aftermath of the controversial tweets President Trump posted Sunday about them.

Real Clear Politics has the transcript:

I want to make absolutely clear that our opposition to our socialist colleagues has absolutely nothing to do with their gender, with their religion, or with their race. It has to do with the content of their policies. They’re wrong when they attempt to impose the fraud of socialism on the American people. They’re wrong when they pursue policies that would steal power from the American people and give that power to the government. They’re wrong when they espouse and enable, and their leadership refuses to condemn, vile anti-Semitism. They’re wrong when they rush to blame America first, when they fail to recognize that this is the greatest nation that has ever existed, the exceptional nation. And they’re wrong when they fail to recognize that no people has ever lived in greater freedom, and then they go on and fail to provide the resources our men and women in uniform need to defend that freedom.

Our colleagues, our socialist colleagues on the other side of the aisle, are wrong when they advocate abortion up until the moment of birth, including partial-term abortion, partial-birth abortion, late-term abortion, and when they refuse to mandate care for babies who are born alive. Our colleagues are wrong when they say that we should open America’s borders, abolish ICE, and abolish DHS. They’re wrong when they advocate policies that would eliminate all private health insurance in this country, destroy Medicare, and force the American people to pay for free healthcare for illegal immigrants. They are wrong when they pursue policies like the one we’re going to be voting on today that will destroy four million jobs for low-wage earners by mandating a federal $15 minimum wage. That is not compassion. That is callousness that’s born of ignorance. They’re wrong when they say that their programs help people at the lower end of the economic spectrum. Every one of their socialist programs would create massive new government dependency and end the very economic growth we need to ensure everyone can prosper.

Cheney also took off after Pressley in particular, who over the weekend at the Netroots Nation conference essentially accused rogue (read: contrarian) Hispanics, black people, and LGBTQ community members of being traitors to the liberal cause. Here’s what Cheney said about Pressley’s rant:

Our colleagues are wrong when they advocate packing the Supreme Court and abolishing the Electoral College. And our colleagues are wrong when they tell Americans, as Congresswoman Pressley did just last week, that any individual seat at the table is only valuable, only legitimate if that person espouses some pre-approved set of beliefs deemed appropriate based on their religion, or their gender, or their race. When they say that, that is racist.

Watch video of Cheney’s remarks below:

Cheney’s comments were on point, and come at a crucial time when Republicans need to seize back control of the national narrative, rather than being on defense. It shouldn’t be too difficult to do, considering The Squad continue to be their own worst enemies.

The Dead Tacoma Antifa Used AOC’s Motive and Ayanna Pressley’s Method In His Fatal Attack

Last weekend, an Antifa goober tried to firebomb the ICE detention facility in Tacoma, WA. As was to be expected, his technical skills were not up to the task, but the Tacoma police gave him what he so richly deserved. He left behind a “manifesto” that was the gibbering anarchist nonsense that you’d expect but, the more we look at it, the more it becomes obvious that the rhetoric of The Squad, that august brain trust consisting of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, Ilnan “no I really didn’t have sex with my brother” Omar, and Ayanna Pressley, heavily influenced his thinking, such as it was, and his actions.

He relies on AOC’s “concentration camp” rhetoric and his method of attack seems to have been derived from another.

For someone who has twisted her panties in a tight little knot over a tweet by President Trump, Pressley seems to be fairly cavalier about inciting arson attacks or, taken at its most benign, mob violence against federal detention facilities. The left has a sordid history of inciting fatal attacks by using rhetoric that clearly calls for violence but which can be massaged by a willing press into mere hyperbole that some nutter misunderstood. It was the left that encouraged a nutter to try to shoot up the Family Research Council. It was the left that encouraged a nutter to shoot up a GOP congressional baseball team. It was the left that encouraged a nutter to try to burn an ICE facility. It is the left that is encouraging the violent street mobs of Antifa.

It is getting harder and harder to believe that these incitements are accidental and not part of a desire, if not a design, to ratchet up political violence in the country. Too what end, we don’t know. But it is certain that we will find out in the coming years.

Anti-Feminism Has Officially Become More Popular than Feminism

Westlake Legal Group ab3a70e9-aacc-47f3-87e4-fc076b332956.v1-620x413 Anti-Feminism Has Officially Become More Popular than Feminism Women Politics men Front Page Stories Feminism Femininity Featured Story far-right Equality anger Allow Media Exception

The day that was always inevitable has finally arrived.

Despite the media, activists, Hollywood, and politicians all pushing it in everything from the news to the movies, feminism has never been able to achieve complete saturation within the populace. It was always coming off as entitled, unfair, and weak, all while trying to bill itself as a movement dedicated to building strong women who support equality.

The public learned that equality was never the goal and the pro-woman aspect fell apart in the face of the way the feminist movement treated women who disagreed with it. Feminism was always at war with femininity, and women weren’t into it for the most part despite the media portraying it as some super popular movement. In fact, not only were women not into it, feminism created too many enemies with its abrasive behavior, nonsensical belief system, and asinine demands.

Thus, anti-feminism has now become more popular than feminism, and what makes this even more delicious is that BuzzFeed of all places has now had to recognize the fact.

Mark Di Stefano of BuzzFeed posted a tweet that shows some of the stats, putting the disbelief primarily on men.

According to BuzzFeed, the group Hope Not Hate commissioned research to see where the idea of feminism lies with the populace and the results cause them to think that we’re slipping into the “far-right” due to the acceptance of “anti-feminism”:

The survey, conducted by YouGov earlier this year, found 33% of people between ages 18 and 24 agreed with the statement “Feminism is to blame for making some men feel marginalised and demonised in society”.

Across all age groups, 42% of men felt that feminism was marginalising and demonising some men, while only a quarter of women agreed.

I want to take a moment here to point out that anti-feminism is not a “far-right” idea. In fact, anti-feminism is geared more toward believing in equality for the sexes than feminism is, which constantly attempts to garner more gains for women while denigrating men with accusations of “patriarchal privilege” and constant claims of sexism over things like air conditioning. It’s ridiculously lazy to assume that any resistance to a leftist ideal such as modern feminism is a result of far-right plotting.

In fact, most people believe that sexual equality is a great thing, they just reject feminism as noted by the BBC, which found that 1 in 5 women in the U.S. and the U.K. identify as feminist, but that eight in ten believe in equality of the sexes.

Feminism hasn’t been popular to associate with, even when the third wave was in full swing a few years ago. Feminism has always been antagonistic in nature, and the constant denigration of society because it wasn’t focusing on what the feminist agenda wanted turned people off. It even went so far as to make itself the hub of intersectionalism, making everything under the sun a “women’s issue.”

Women have enough issues to deal with, they didn’t need more. What’s more, the fact that women who rejected feminist principles, even if it was the most minute, were lambasted and dragged over coals.

Feminism stopped being something to sign on to and started being something to resist very quickly.

And so, both women and men walked away from the circus show. Feminism might not be dead, not yet, but it does look corpse-like.

Muslim Man Kills Jewish Woman, Judge Rules He Can’t Stand Trial for Ridiculous Reason

Westlake Legal Group 2zr8u6-1-620x416 Muslim Man Kills Jewish Woman, Judge Rules He Can’t Stand Trial for Ridiculous Reason weed Qur'an Politics Muslim murder Jewish Woman islamist Front Page Stories Front Page France Featured Story crime Crazy antisemitism anti-semite

A Jewish woman was brutally beaten and thrown to her death by a Muslim man in France. His identity as a Muslim it’s directly connected to the case given that he was mumbling about Allah when he did it and has a history of antisemitism. There’s no doubt he targeted this woman because she’s Jewish.

Seems pretty open and shut, right? Nah, it’s France and they’ve gone absolutely insane in regards to trying to handle their Muslim migrant population.

A Muslim man who killed a Jewish woman in an antisemitic attack was probably not criminally responsible because he was high on cannabis, a French judge has ruled.

Kobili Traore has been accused of murdering 65-year-old Sarah Halimi in her flat in Paris on 3 April, 2017.

Traore allegedly recited verses from the Quran as he beat Ms Halimi, before throwing her from a third-floor window.

“I’ve killed the Shaitan [devil],” the 29-year-old reportedly shouted.

Traore has confessed to the murder, but in a preliminary ruling on Friday, a judge who will decide whether he will stand trial said it was possible he was not responsible for his actions because he had smoked cannabis beforehand, Le Parisien reported.

Where’s that blinking gif when you need it?

Oh, here it is.

Westlake Legal Group giphy Muslim Man Kills Jewish Woman, Judge Rules He Can’t Stand Trial for Ridiculous Reason weed Qur'an Politics Muslim murder Jewish Woman islamist Front Page Stories Front Page France Featured Story crime Crazy antisemitism anti-semite

I don’t even know what you say about this but I’ll try.

How does smoking weed absolve you of murdering someone? Does France also let people off if they are drunk and kill someone driving? Worse, the psychiatric evaluations agreed this guy has no mental illness, so there was no underlying issue here keeping him from standing trial.

Yet, a judge has ruled that he’s not criminally responsible, using smoking weed as an excuse. Ignore the “probably” in the description above. His ruling requires the prosecution to now appeal the decision, otherwise the most punishment he’ll get is “treatment” and release.

Here’s another report with more details.

He could be hospitalized for treatment of his psychotic lapses or made to attend a drug rehabilitation program, or he could be released.

Khalifat’s op-ed published Monday on the CRIF website follows a series of protests over perceived delays in Traore’s trial and the efforts, including by judges, that CRIF and others have condemned as attempts to prevent a murder trial.

An aggravated element of a hate crime was added to Traore’s indictment following vocal protests by CRIF, which said that the omission of such charges may have part of a “cover up” by French authorities.

Witnesses said Traore called Halimi a “demon” as he was pummeling her. Halimi’s daughter said following the murder that Traore called her, the daughter, a “dirty Jewess” two years before the killing when they passed each other in the building.

The aggravated element there is the fact that this was clearly a premeditated hate crime based on the antisemitism. But the judge dropped that aspect of the crime as well.

Why is the judge doing this? You’d be forgiven for suspecting the Muslim identity of the man has something to do with it. Many European countries are currently scared to death to set off their migrant populations, which are laced with fundamentalist elements. Areas of anarchy, where police basically ignore crimes, are not a myth and exist in places like Paris, London, and Berlin. With millions of Islamic migrants moving into Europe in the past years, ruling authorities have been trying to maintain a delicate balance which has far too often tipped into excusing the criminality of migrants.

This handling of this case is patently absurd. While it’s completely inexcusable to ignore sexual assault and instead put out education campaigns pretending Islamic men just didn’t know it was wrong, it’s an entirely different level to excuse a hate crime and murder of a Jewish woman by citing the fact that Muslim guy smoked weed. He had harassed her family, called them dirty Jews, and stood over her body quoting the Quran.

I don’t live in Europe, but I can imagine it being pretty terrifying for Jews right now. When even murder is being ignored for specious reasons, it has to feel like their own government no longer has their back. That’s a feeling Jews have experience throughout history far too often, usually leading to really bad results. We can only hope the prosecution here wins their appeal and this monster is made to stand trial for his crimes.

Sources have told investigative reporter John Solomon that the vast majority of claims made in Christopher Steele’s infamous dossier were “either wrong, unverifiable or things that an intern could find on the internet.”

Solomon appeared on “Hannity” last night and here is what he had to say: (Segment begins at 38:05 in the video below.)

In early 2017, the FBI began on a significant effort to assess the credibility of the Steele dossier. They interviewed one of his primary sources, a Russian living in the west and they came to the assessment after the interview which I believe was in January or February in 2017, that he was either intentionally misleading Steele or exaggerating in ways that caused Steele’s report to be grossly inaccurate.

They then took every factual statement in the Steele dossier memos and put them in a spreadsheet and analyzed them and came to conclude that the vast majority of them were either wrong, unverifiable despite all the investigative tools the FBI had or things that an intern with a google search could find on the internet. Not actionable intelligence, but google garbage. That is the quality of what they had.

Why is that significant? At the time they were learning this, they were continuing to represent to the court that Christopher Steele was a reputable source, that his information might be reliable.

One thing they discovered that they learned early on was wrong, the seminal thing they shared with the FISA Court, they wrote in a verified FISA application that Christopher Steele had corroborated or verified that Carter Page had met with [Rosneft oil executive] Igor Sechin and [senior government official] Igor Divyekin, two senior Russians close to Putin, during a trip in July 2016. The FBI never verified that and ultimately concluded it did not happen. That is the sort of information they knew was wrong in 2017. It took us until 2019 to get the same answer.

Solomon wrote that Page had met with a lower level Rosneft official and had “shaken hands” with a Russian deputy prime minister. But that was the extent of it.

The dossier claimed that Sechin had offered Page “a 19 percent (privatized) stake in Rosneft if he could get Trump to help lift sanctions on Moscow.”

This was obviously never verified. Nor were the bulk of the other claims in the dossier ever verified. Yet, the FBI presented this information in their applications to the FISA Court as verified.

One source told Solomon that “the spreadsheet was a sea of blanks, meaning most claims couldn’t be corroborated, and those things that were found in classified intelligence suggested Steele’s intelligence was partly or totally inaccurate on several claims.”

The most memorable claim in the dossier was the “golden shower” incident. According to a footnote in the Mueller Report, the FBI had interviewed Georgian-American Giorgi Rtskhiladze who said he “had been told the tapes were fake. Rtskhiladze’s lawyer subsequently issued a letter taking issue with some of Mueller’s characterizations.”

Solomon’s report about the FBI’s spreadsheet corroborates the claim that top officials were well aware that the dossier had not been verified. Several months ago, Solomon reported that State Department official Kathleen Kavalec emailed the FBI following a meeting with Christopher Steele to express her doubts about his motives and the credibility of the dossier itself. She had actually debunked several of the claims herself.

And top DOJ official Bruce Ohr testified that, on July 30, 2016, the day he presented the dossier to the FBI, he had warned them that it had not been verified.

Last month, Christopher Steele sat for a lengthy interview with DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz. This led to speculation by left leaning media outlets, most notably Politico and The Washington Post, that the IG found his testimony and his debunked dossier to be credible.

Politico reported that “Investigators ultimately found Steele’s testimony credible and even surprising.”

The Washington Post’s Greg Sargent, in an article entitled, “William Barr’s shilling for Trump may have just hit a snag,” wrote that “Trumpworld’s alt-narrative” was wrong.

But this whole narrative may have taken a new hit…Post fact checker Salvador Rizzo has shown, that whole narrative is wildly exaggerated and largely false in multiple ways.

Solomon said those reports were “misguided.”

Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) echoed Solomon’s sentiments. Meadows had spoken with DOJ officials after hearing these reports. He told Solomon:

Based on my conversations with DOJ officials, recent reports which suggest Christopher Steele’s dossier and allegations are somehow deemed credible by DOJ, are simply false and not based on any confirmation from sources with direct knowledge of ongoing investigations.

It’s amazing the FBI didn’t shred this spreadsheet a long time ago! The consequences, if what Solomon alleges is true, and I have every reason to suspect it is, will be great. It would mean that not only did the FBI file at least the last two FISA Court applications after the dossier had been debunked, but that Rod Rosenstein appointed a Special Counsel to investigate allegations against the President the FBI knew to be false.

The deep state kept this farce going for two more years, and would have continued had Attorney General William Barr not taken the reins at the DOJ.

The investigation certainly had an effect on the midterms. Although we’ll never know for sure, it’s quite possible that if the FBI ended the investigation in early 2017, clearing President Trump, Democrats may not have taken back control of the House.

Moreover, the narrative pushed by the left for over two years would have been nipped in the bud.

We’ve been stuck in an information blackout for several months now as DOJ IG Horowitz and Prosecutor John Durham conduct their investigations and it’s been frustrating. But all signs point to an eventual win for the President.

House of Representatives Locks In Its Irrelevance By Passing a Toothless and Partisan Resolution Condemning President Trump

The evening the US House of Representatives passed a resolution condemning tweets, yes, I said it, condemning tweets by President Trump. After some drama in which the House had to override the House Parliamentarian to let Nancy Pelosi introduce the resolution (see Bonchie’s BREAKING: Chaos Breaks Out On House Floor, Pelosi Shut Down for the Day) and a string of Whereases invoking people and principles the Democrats have long since denigrated and jettisoned (they referenced the notorious slave owner Thomas Jefferson) they come to this:

3) strongly condemns President Donald Trump’s racist comments that have legitimized and increased fear and hatred of new Americans and people of color by saying that our fellow Americans who are immigrants, and those who may look to the President like immigrants, should “go back” to other countries, by referring to immigrants and asylum seekers as “invaders,” and by saying that Members of Congress who are immigrants (or those of our colleagues who are wrongly assumed to be immigrants) do not belong in Congress or in the United States of America.

Four of the weakest and most craven Republicans you’ll ever hear of voted with the Democrats on what was otherwise a clean party-line vote: Reps. Fred Upton (MI), Susan Brooks (IN), Will Hurd (TX) and Brian Fitzpatrick (PA).

To what end?

The resolution is non-binding. The 100% partisan nature of the resolution makes it meaningless. No one, other than people who already hate Trump, is taking this bullsh** seriously. The clown show on the House floor as the House squabbled over its own rules made crystal clear just how un-serious the Democrats are.

When the dust settles from this, I don’t President Trump is going to be the one with the sucking chest wound and the “how did this happen” expression on his face.
