I want to apologize in advance for what I’m about to subject you to. Just to be clear, I take no pleasure in this but seeing as how I’ve seen it, and misery loves company, I’m going to have you suffer with me.

The comic about freshman New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D) titled “Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the Freshman Force: New Party Who Dis?” has some very fascinating depictions of politicians and their interactions throughout its pages.

In one panel we have AOC physically assaulting President Donald Trump and then shaving his head before putting him in jail. We also a shredded mike pence standing shirtless in front of a waving LGBT rainbow flag as we’re informed he sought forgiveness from the gay community. The NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch even makes an appearance.

But all of that is nothing compared to how the comic depicts House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Crazytown). The assault upon the eyes and mind is such that there isn’t enough bleach in the world that could scrub that stain from your mind.

Pelosi, to put it simply, is depicted as a very muscular woman. That’s not the worst part.

The worst part is that it depicts her coming out of the shower.

I’m not sure what the human race ever did to Ocasio-Cortez or her fans to deserve this. I can only assume that whatever malicious force is bent on the elimination of our species is using AOC as a conduit through which to channel its eldritch hatred, and has begun its assault on humanity with this devastating opening blow.

May God have mercy on our souls.

Barr Testimony: He Was ‘Surprised’ Mueller Did Not Come to a Conclusion on Obstruction of Justice Charges

During testimony on Wednesday before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Attorney General William Barr expressed his surprise that special counsel Robert Mueller did not come to a conclusion on whether or not President Trump had obstructed justice. Barr had expected a decision from Mueller, which is the norm.

Barr told the senators, “We did not understand exactly why the special counsel was not reaching a decision. We don’t conduct criminal investigations just to collect information and put it out to the public. We do so to make a decision.”

Yes, Mr. Barr, that’s how it’s usually done unless a prosecutor knows he can’t make a reasonable case against a defendant, but is interested in maintaining pressure. Particularly if the defendant is President Donald Trump, whom you hate, and you’re hoping that if the case is left open, others will pick up where you left off.

In an earlier post about the Washington Post’s pre-testimony attempted “ambush” on Barr last night, I wrote:

Unable to conjure up a valid reason to build an obstruction of justice case against President Trump, but still needing to find a way to continue the charade, special counsel Robert Mueller muddied the waters. He deliberately left the interpretation of his non-conclusion to Attorney General William Barr which left the door open for Democrats to resurrect their bogus narrative at critical moments. As hunting season on the deep state approaches, be sure that these attempts will increase in number.

Barr is receiving heavy criticism from the left over his conclusion that Trump did not obstruct justice.

Here are Barr’s written remarks about the issue of obstruction:

In Volume II of the report, the Special Counsel considered whether certain actions of the President could amount to obstruction of justice. The Special Counsel decided not to reach a conclusion, however, about whether the President committed an obstruction offense. Instead, the report recounts ten episodes and discusses potential legal theories for connecting the President’s actions to the elements of an obstruction offense. After carefully reviewing the facts and legal theories outlined in the report, and in consultation with the Office of Legal Counsel and other Department lawyers, the Deputy Attorney General and I concluded that, under the principles of federal prosecution, the evidence developed by the Special Counsel would not be sufficient to charge the President with an obstruction-of-justice offense.

The Deputy Attorney General and I knew that we had to make this assessment because, as I previously explained, the prosecutorial judgment whether a crime has been established is an integral part of the Department’s criminal process. The Special Counsel regulations provide for the report to remain confidential. Given the extraordinary public interest in this investigation, however, I determined that it was necessary to make as much of it public as I could and committed the Department to being as transparent as possible. But it would not have been appropriate for me simply to release Volume II of the report without making a prosecutorial judgment.

The Deputy Attorney General and I therefore conducted a careful review of the report, looking at the facts found and the legal theories set forth by the Special Counsel. Although we disagreed with some of the Special Counsel’s legal theories and felt that some of the episodes examined did not amount to obstruction as a matter of law, we accepted the Special Counsel’s legal framework for purposes of our analysis and evaluated the evidence as presented by the Special Counsel in reaching our conclusion. We concluded that the evidence developed during the Special Counsel’s investigation is not sufficient to establish that the President committed an obstruction-of-justice offense.

More and more information about the deep state’s coup to destroy Trump is being revealed each day. Most significantly, the DOJ Inspector General’s report on FISA Court abuse is due in the next four weeks and rumors have been swirling that it will contain criminal referrals. Democrats are hoping their attacks on Barr’s credibility will provide a distraction from the fallout.

The bottom line is that if Mueller believed he had sufficient evidence of a crime, he would have indicted. Because he knew he did not, he did the next best thing, which was to sow confusion.

It’s hard to believe, but the network that won an award for its reporting on the missing Malaysian airliner — including suggesting it fell into a black hole — is suffering some of the worst ratings it’s experienced in four years.

According to Forbes, the network has dropped in viewership just above a quarter compared to last year, with April ranking as its lowest month so far.

…the network saw its prime time lineup drop 26% in April compared to the same month one year ago. CNN’s total audience in prime time was well under a million viewers–767,000–while competitors MSNBC and Fox News finished the month far ahead: MSNBC in second place overall with 1.660 million total viewers, and Fox News leading all of cable with a total audience of 2.395 million.

April ranks as CNN’s lowest-rated month among total viewers in nearly four years, since October 2015. CNN’s Cuomo Primetime, which has been the network’s highest-rated hour, drew a total audience of 917,000 viewers in April, the show’s worst-ever performance.

It gets worse. The 25-54 age of viewership, which Forbes lists as the most coveted age by national advertisers, is down a whopping 41 percent, drawing in a measly 198,000 number of viewers in the demographic. Compare that to MSNBC (255,000), and Fox News (389,000). All cable news networks showed a decline, however, including MSNBC and Fox News who suffered a 36 and 19 percent drop respectively.

This drop has followed the news of the Mueller report coming out with zero charges to press against Trump, resulting in something of an anti-climactic turn for the left and its media. The demoralization of the news media has definitely affected its viewership for the worse.

Naturally, to the victor go the spoils. Fox News, has not only taken the last damage, but it’s also still bringing in more viewers during primetime than MSNBC and CNN combined with a total of 5.92 million between Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity. Rachel Maddow brought in 2.6 million, while CNN didn’t have a single show in the top 25.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) was pulling no punches and didn’t care who was watching when he was quoting President Donald Trump’s enemies while on live television, resulting in a nationally aired F-bomb by the chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Graham was quoting former FBI agents Lisa Page and Peter Stzrok during a text exchange between them during a hearing with Attorney General William Barr.

“‘Just went to the southern Virginia Walmart, I could smell the Trump support,’” Graham read. “October the 19th, 2016: ‘Trump is a f*cking idiot, he’s unable to provide a coherent answer.’”

Unlike the USA Today video, Graham’s words were not bleeped out.

“Sorry to the kids out there,” Graham added.

He continued on.

“These are the people that made a decision that (Hillary) Clinton didn’t do anything wrong, and that counterintelligence investigation of the Trump campaign was warranted. We’re going to, in a bipartisan way, I hope, deal with Russia, but when the Mueller report is put to bed — and it soon will be — this committee is going to look long and hard at how this all started.”

F-bombs aside, now that the entire plan to shame and oust Trump through the Mueller investigation has flopped, the tables will likely turn with Republicans pursuing leads all the live long day. However, unlike the Democrat’s witch hunt, we can expect to see some of these leads flesh out real wrongdoing.

Adam Schiff Makes a Ridiculously Stupid Request of AG Bill Barr

Westlake Legal Group schiff-bug-eyes-620x566 Adam Schiff Makes a Ridiculously Stupid Request of AG Bill Barr resign Politics Nonsensical Call Mueller report mueller media bias Front Page Stories Front Page Featured Story democrats bill barr Barr Summary adam schiff

There’s irony and then there’s whatever the heck this is.

Adam Schiff, who’s spent the last 2+ years lying about Russian collusion and living outside CNN in a tent, is now calling for Bill Barr to resign for…well, no one really knows what for.

This is all connected to the supposed “bombshell” that wasn’t last night. The media ran with a story purporting to prove that Barr lied and mislead with his summary letter of the Mueller report. The problem is that Mueller himself said he did no such thing.

Buried in the Post report and absent from the headline is this pretty important line way down in the body.

“When Barr pressed him whether he thought Barr’s letter was inaccurate, Mueller said he did not, but felt that the media coverage of the letter was misinterpreting the investigation, officials said.”

In other words, Barr pushed back on Mueller’s silly complaints and got him to admit that Barr hadn’t misrepresented anything. Then we see Mueller fold and say he’s actually just upset with the media for misrepresenting the matter.

This morning, Barr testified under oath and further showed that last night’s outrage was misleading garbage. Jennifer Van Laar reported on it earlier in the day.

“I called Bob and said, ‘What’s the issue here?’ I asked him if he was suggesting that the March 24 letter was inaccurate and he said no, but that the press reporting was inaccurate….

…“But he was very clear with me that he was not suggesting that we had misrepresented his report.”

That’s not stopping the insanity from continuing. Some House Democrats are calling for an IG investigation.

Others, like Schiff, are making the nonsensical call for him to resign.

Actually,  there is actual sugarcoating of this that can be done, namely because Mueller himself said Barr’s letter was not inaccurate. So what’s Barr’s grave crime here again?

Facts never matter to Schiff though. He’s a crazed conspiracy theorist who’s continually given airtime on the major networks as some kind of unbiased expert on the Russia investigation. In reality, he’s a hack who’s grasping at every straw to keep this narrative alive.

No collusion found by Mueller? He’ll just tell you there’s still evidence in plain sight. No obstruction indictment handed down? He’ll just say that it doesn’t matter that Trump didn’t technically do anything illegal. Now, with the Mueller report being such a dud, Schiff is shifting to whining about a summary letter which isn’t even relevant anymore because we have the whole report already.

The only person in this equation who should resign is Schiff. He’s been proven to be a liar over and over. He’s misled the public about testimony, likely illegally leaked materials to the press, and he has done everything he can to obstruct the search for the truth about what really went on at the FBI/DOJ in 2016 and early 2017.

None of this is going to stop. The media and Democrats are fully invested in keeping this narrative alive. Furthermore, they know that if they can smear Barr enough, they might be able to kneecap the coming findings on the origins and handling of the Trump-Russia investigation. That could end up implicating a lot of the people screaming bloody murder right now. If there’s any justice left in politics, and I’m not sure there is, this won’t work and these people will be exposed sooner rather than later.

Kirsten Gillibrand Has a Bold New Proposal for Voters – to Enrich Herself

With a crowded herd of Democratic party candidates already and likely to grow further (has DeBlasio declared yet, or will he be the new Green Party candidate?) it is increasingly tough for those in the field to get noticed. Many of those needing to gain attention are striving to be more extreme in their proposals, hoping to earn some traction in the press. Kirsten Gillibrand is showing signs of flailing in just the past couple of days.

First was this desperate AOC-style attempt at relevancy — showing the New York candidate playing beer pong.

Not only is this as painful to watch as your parents playing, but that is not even beer. Unless those glasses are filled with Ketel One, her playing with water is even more pathetic!

The Senator has since followed up that attempt with a brand new campaign proposal. She is unveiling what she describes as “Democracy Dollars” — a plan to allocate $600 to eligible voters. Now, before you get caught up in an Anthony Yang-like fervor, understand that YOU do not get this cash infusion. She does.

Gillibrand’s proposal is to set up accounts for voters to give them up to $600 in funds to then distribute to candidates running for federal offices. This is such a blatant pandering move as to become laughable, but in such a crowded field her idea is unlikely to look outlandish compared to everything proposed so far, like free college tuition or the elimination of private health insurance.

The attempt by Gillibrand to line her own pockets, and those of her own party, is clearly designed to blunt the big campaign donors and place federal tax dollars under the control of the demographic groups her party already panders to on the regular. Her plan would restrict candidates to a lower ceiling of maximum donation amounts, but supposedly they would benefit by collecting more funds from a wider swath of voters.

It does not take much to see they want to hand over federal money to “their” groups for distribution — ensuring that Democrats would become enriched with our tax dollars.

Currently, only about 0.5 percent of Americans contribute more than $200 to campaigns each cycle, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Research by the progressive think tank Demos in 2016 found donors tend to be disproportionately whiter, wealthier and more male than the overall population. “It will change who has a seat at the table and who gets elected in this country within one election cycle,” Gillibrand said.
And there it is. Take the donor power away from those wealthy white men, and “empower” those who cannot afford to donate to campaigns by giving them other people’s money — to then give to the candidates themselves.

Interesting to see this attempt to rig the system from the party that is forever groaning loudly about supposed fixes like gerrymandering. It is only wrong when the other side does this.

Robert Mueller’s Letter Reveals the Secret Agenda Behind His Report and Why He’s Upset With Bill Barr

The nothingburger controversy that’s wadding panties in the press today is a confidential letter from temp employee Robert Mueller to Attorney General Bill Barr sniveling that Mueller’s own oh-so-precious summaries were not released by Barr, but rather Barr and Rod Rosenstein and staff developed their own bottom line summary. (See Media Run with “Bombshell” That Mueller Criticized Barr’s Summary, But There’s a Problem and How Can You Be Outraged Over Mueller’s Letter To Barr When We Have Mueller’s Full Report?)

Indeed, one wonders how a letter dated March 27 just happened to make it to the Washington Post the evening before Barr’s hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee. And even when Barr addressed the subject, the story still is still kept in a narrative ICU by the media (see Barr Clarifies What Was Said in That Phone Call With Mueller).

National Review’s Andy McCarthy unpacks what he sees driving this.

Parsed carefully (which you have to do with the special counsel’s Jesuitical work), Mueller is precisely not saying that Barr misrepresented his key findings. He is saying that he and the Clinton/Obama minions he recruited to staff the case wrote the report with a certain mood music in mind. To their chagrin, Barr gave us just the no-crime bottom line. Mueller would have preferred for us to feel all the ooze of un-presidential escapades he couldn’t indict but wouldn’t, from his lofty perch, “exonerate.”

The purportedly private letter to Barr, like Mueller’s purportedly confidential report, was patently meant for public consumption, and thus leaked to the Post late yesterday. The timing is transparently strategic: the leak drops a bomb as Barr was preparing for two days of what promises to be combative congressional hearings, starting this morning; it gives maximum media exposure to Mueller’s diva routine and its Democratic chorus, while the attorney general gets minimal time to respond to asinine cries of that he should be charged with perjury, held in contempt, and – of course – impeached.

Mueller was not effectively supervised. Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein allowed him to get into the political narrative business – just as he allowed the special counsel to persist in the collusion investigation for over a year after it was clear that there was no collusion case.

Without supervision, Mueller’s staff continued weaving a tale rather than acknowledging that they had not found a crime. For example, the allegation against George Papadopoulos – namely, that he lied about the date of a meeting – could have been charged in a single paragraph. Instead, the charge is accompanied by Mueller’s 14-page “statement of the offense,” which is not a statement of the false-statement offense at all – it is a lot of huffing and puffing about almost-but-not-really collusion.

It is not a prosecutor’s job, under the pretext of “context,” to taint people by publicizing non-criminal conduct. If the investigative subject has committed no offense, the public is customarily told nothing. If a defendant is charged with a relatively minor offense, the indictment is supposed to reflect that.

You are supposed to see the crime for what it is, not view it through the prism of the prosecutor’s big ambitions. If all George Papadopoulos did was fib about when a meeting happened, the function of an indictment is to put him on notice of that charge; it is not to weave a heroic tale of how hard the prosecutor tried to find collusion with a hostile foreign power.

Mueller was annoyed because Barr’s report showed Mueller didn’t do the job he was retained to do, and omitted all the narrative-writing that Mueller preferred to do.

I think McCarthy is too kind and too generous by half.

Mueller knew from his first day on the job that there was no collusion. The evidence had been gone through by the FBI and the intelligence community for nearly seven months at that point. So Mueller’s investigation was a political hatchet job from Day One. His mission was to allow Andrew Weissmann to relieve the hard-on he had for Paul Manafort, to hurt Mike Flynn because he supported an agent who brought a sexual discrimination lawsuit against Andrew McCabe, and to shade every finding to make mundane actions by the Trump campaign look suspicious while studiously ignoring the now obvious soft coup attempt that got him his job.

Mueller is a freakin temp, he doesn’t get to decide what to do with a report he was contracted to write. He doesn’t get to tell the Attorney General how to explain the results to the nation. He shouldn’t get to leak confidential correspondence in order to try to embarrass Barr.

What Mueller wanted to do was control the narrative between the time Barr received the report and the time the redacted copy was released. He wanted to slime and insinuate guilt on the part of people whose only sin was beating Hillary Clinton in November 2016. Barr foiled that attempt and Mueller is torqued. Screw him and the white jackass he rode in on.

The campus of UNC-Charlotte after a deadly mass shooting on 4/30/19. Screen grab via WCNC.

As I reported to you last night, there was a deadly mass shooting in my hometown of Charlotte on the campus of UNC-Charlotte in their Kennedy building.

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene, and there are four other victims – 3 of who were critically injured. One of the victims is Drew Pescaro, a sports writer for the student-run Niner Times newspaper.

Pescaro is in stable condition after surgery and his family is asking for people to use the hashtag #DrewStrong when writing about him on social media.

The two students who were murdered were identified this morning:

Chancellor Phillip Dubois said on WBT that the two students who were killed were 19-year-old Ellis Parlier, of Midland, and 21-year-old Riley Howell, of Waynesville.

The suspect in the deadly shootings has been identified as 22-year-old Trystan Terrell, a former history major at the university:

Terrell was a history major at UNCC and was most recently enrolled at the university in fall 2018, the same semester he transferred to the school, according to the university’s advising system called Connect.

Terrell, who was born in Texas, is a registered voter in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, according to his voter registration records.

According to the Associated Press, Terrell’s grandfather, Paul Rold of Arlington, Texas, said Terrell and his father moved to Charlotte from the Dallas area about two years ago after his mother died.

Terrell taught himself French and Portuguese with the help of a language learning program his grandfather bought him and was attending UNC-Charlotte, Rold said. But Terrell never showed any interest in guns or other weapons and the news he may have been involved in a mass shooting was stunning, said Rold, who had not heard about the Charlotte attack before being contacted by an Associated Press reporter.

Here’s video of Terrell as he was escorted into Charlotte-Mecklenburg police HQ last night:

The shooter’s motive is not yet known. He provided a full confession to police investigators, according to local news reports.

More information is coming in about how the suspect was armed and what happened inside the building:

Police say the suspect went into the Kennedy building on UNC Charlotte’s main campus – armed with a pistol.

Sources say witnesses told investigators that he started shouting and began shooting randomly – not at specific targets.

According to the Niner Times, one student who had interacted with Terrell in the past did not have a good feeling about him:

Nick Brooks, 22, hid for over two hours in the Panda Express kitchen on campus. He said he was taking a study break at the fountain outside of Kennedy building when he saw the suspect, someone he recognized from riding the light rail, walk into Kennedy. Seconds later, he heard shots fired.

“It was like, ‘pop, pop, pop,’ and that’s when we all started to lay on the ground,” he said. “You could feel the vibration. I don’t know if it was just, like, nerves. You could just feel it in your chest.”

He said a student came running out of the building, yelling about an active shooter. It was then that Brooks got up, grabbed his backpack and sprinted to Cone building where a group of roughly 35 people had gathered. “I’ve never run that fast in my life,” he said.

Brooks said he had a strange feeling about Terrell, and he remembered an odd interaction with the suspect at a NoDa apartment complex. “He was in the elevator and the doors were closing and he was just staring at me,” Brooks said. “You could tell something was up with him. It’s like he had no emotions.”

Flags will be lowered to half-staff across the state through Friday to honor the victims:

There have been a lot of questions surrounding the university’s policy on bringing weapons on campus. Here’s UNC-Charlotte’s weapons policy, which is in accordance with North Carolina law.

Please continue to keep the victims, their families, the students, campus, and the city of Charlotte in your thoughts and prayers.

The Latest List of “Fake News” Sites Does More Harm Than Good

Westlake Legal Group Jernulizm-620x413 The Latest List of “Fake News” Sites Does More Harm Than Good Poynter News Media Internet Front Page Stories Featured Story fake news conservative news Allow Media Exception

CREDIT: Brandon Morse, copyright RedState.com

The Poynter Institute has collaborated with a group of “fact-checkers” to come up with a list of “unreliable” websites, and you are currently reading one of them!

Poynter is the self-styled authority in journalism, and the Institute itself is a journalism school located in Florida. Going through journalism school, my fellow students and I were referred to Poynter a lot by our professors, and if you have a critical eye, you’ll quickly learn that Poynter is as biased as every other journalism outlet there is.

Sadly, RedState only qualifies as “clickbait” on Poynter’s new UnNews list, meaning we really have to up our game to compete with our sister site, PJ Media, who is labeled unreliable because of “bias.” It will probably come as a shock to you all that we are not “biased,” but if anything that probably adds to our legitimacy! So thanks, Poynter!

All kidding aside, the media has spent many moons decrying “attacks” against journalism, but they are perfectly fine launching attacks against websites that have an ideological bent (especially one different from theirs), no matter the amount of legitimate coverage that site does in the news world. Sites like RedState, PJ Media, and others do have actual reporting going on, and while it’s not as much reporting as other sites may have, it’s still not enough to say that some bias makes you fake news.

I’ve been doing some editing here for a while now. I’ve pulled down stories I thought went too far and I’ve edited headlines I thought were over the top. We’re not an operation that tries to drag you in for nothing. There is a purpose behind what we write. Are we perfect? God no. Neither are any of the other “legitimate” news sites out there. We just catch flack because we’re not mainstream and we have a political ideology behind what we do.

The Daily Caller and the Washington Free Beacon are also on this list. Are they of a conservative bent? Absolutely. Does that make them less legitimate? Of course not. Especially when you have the New York Times running anti-semitic cartoons and then replacing them with more anti-semitic cartoons, BuzzFeed running stories that should be fully retracted for their wild inaccuracies, and CNN continuing to push a White House reporter despite that reporter’s very obvious compulsive need to be on camera fighting the White House rather than reporting on it.

But, no, we have to make sure Drudge, which doesn’t even create its own content and often sources “legitimate” news outlets, is listed as unreliable.

The media’s big narrative in the “Trump vs. Press” war is that they are the last beacon of democracy in America. The Republican Party has elected a man who is a tyrant and wants to destroy the press, and therefore they must fight.

Except, democracy isn’t a term that refers to the press at all. Democracy is the exercise of participating in government by all citizens. It is about everyone having a voice. When you have more media outlets – be they RedState, PJ Media, The Daily Caller, Free Beacon, and Washington Examiner and even Daily Kos (yes, Daily Kos is on Poynter’s list!) – out there, reporting and getting people involved with politics through the act of presenting information, you have more democracy.

So, members of more “mainstream” media will point at places like us and dismiss us because we aren’t “real news.” Instead, they will put us on a list along with David Duke’s website and InfoWars and RT. Our ideology is akin to conspiracy theories and Russian propaganda to them.

It’s not democracy to tell people that a certain website doesn’t count because it has a driving political ideology. It is a democracy when you let people have their voice and use it to participate freely.

If you disagree with us, prove us wrong. Don’t belittle us the way Trump belittles you.

The Washington Post reported on Tuesday evening that Mueller had written a letter to Barr in late March stating that his four-page summary had failed to “fully capture the context, nature, and substance” of the report.

My colleague, Bonchie, pointed out that the newspaper had tried to conceal the fact that Mueller did not think Barr’s four page summary was inaccurate. He wrote, “Buried in the Post report and absent from the headline is this pretty important line way down in the body.”

“When Barr pressed him whether he thought Barr’s letter was inaccurate, Mueller said he did not, but felt that the media coverage of the letter was misinterpreting the investigation.”

To any rational person, that makes this a non-story.

It can only be described as an intentional attempt to distract from Barr’s testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee today.

The National Review’s Andy McCarthy calls it “a neat trick by the Washington Post before hearings begin.”

Another diversion was Tuesday’s letter signed by twelve Democratic senators to DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz requesting him to open an investigation into Barr’s handling of the report.

And it allows for stupidity like the tweet below from Joe Scarborough.

Knowing that he would be releasing the report shortly, why would Barr try to “cover up the truth” about its contents?

Newt Gingrich appeared on Fox News’ “Ingraham Angle” and weighed in on the story. Asked by Laura Ingraham what he thought about the timing of the leaked letter, he replied,  “I suppose someone wanted to leak it to maximize the embarrassment to Barr and to set up the questions for the next two days.” Gingrich explained:

The ‘Deep State’ in Washington has played these games for the whole history of the country, this is not something new. Both Jefferson and Hamilton used to subsidize newspapers to attack each other while they were both serving in the President’s cabinet.

After all the noise you just shrug your shoulders and say, ‘so what?’ Mueller had every opportunity to come out the day that Barr released his letter. Mueller could have at any point decided to refute it and as I understand the actual key sentences, the distortion is by the news media. The distortion is not by Barr.

Think about this. The media that Mueller is complaining about are the people who are now using Mueller’s complaint to further distort what is going on. You couldn’t make this up.

In their desperation, the left continues to attack the one individual who holds the most power, which doesn’t strike me as a particularly smart strategy. They do so at their peril.

Barr has been around the block a time or two and knows how to handle himself in hostile environments.

The Democrats are behaving like puppies nipping at the ankles of their owner. The only difference is, puppies don’t know any better.

Update:  Here is a copy of the letter from Mueller to Barr.
