When You’re Assaulting The Elderly, You’ve Lost The Moral High Ground

At an anti-Trump protest in London — a gathering organizers referred to as a “carnival of resistance” — as the first family continued their official state visit Tuesday, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn spoke to the crowd and commended them for seeking to “achieve a better place and a better world”.

And somewhere within that crowd seeking a better world, and elderly man was pushed to the ground because he was there in support of Donald Trump.

The protest, representing several disparate groups but who all apparently find Donald Trump the source of all ills in the world, took place in Trafalgar Square and Parliament Square on Tuesday following Trump’s arrival in the UK Monday.

Corbyn, who had declined to attend a state banquet at Buckingham Palace on Monday, told the crowd he was not refusing to meet with anyone and expressed a hope for peace. Trump reportedly declined to take a separate meeting with Corbyn and referred to him as a “somewhat negative force”.

“I am not, absolutely not, refusing to meet anybody,” the Labour leader told the protestors. “I want to be able to have that dialogue to bring about the better and more peaceful world that we all want to live in.”

Elsewhere in the crowd:

One Trump supporter was surrounded by an angry group of protesters shouting “Nazi” in Parliament Square.

Video footage posted on social media showed a milkshake was thrown at him before a scuffle broke out.

The man, who said he was from London but did not want to be named, said he was “angry” to have been targeted.

In another incident, an elderly pro-Trump supporter was pushed to the ground, as tensions flared on both sides of the demonstration.

Corbyn acknowledged that among the protestors were Americans, which can be clearly heard in the video of the elderly man being assaulted. One woman with a clear American accent is heard saying pushing the man to the ground is “act[ing] like Donald Trump”, an interesting “peacemaking” technique since I’m not sure it’s fair to compare being the face of policy ideas you don’t like to physically assaulting an elderly person.

But more to the point, here’s a little advice for the protestors expressing a desire to find peace in the world: be the peace you seek. Pushing an old man to the ground isn’t it. Even if, and it appears this is what happened in the video, he tries to take your sign. The young pro-life advocates in North Carolina handled that in the proper way when a young lady took their sign. They called the police over, who handled it. No young ladies were pushed to the ground. But one was arrested for larceny.

Why Americans feel the need to travel the world and agitate in pursuit of peace is another post for another time.

Nearly two weeks after the Federal Aviation Administration announced it was launching investigations into the bans on Chick-fil-A restaurants at the San Antonio Airport and the Buffalo Niagara International Airport, Texas AG Ken Paxton has filed a lawsuit against the city of San Antonio.

Alleging that the city has so far not cooperated with the state’s investigation, which began in late March, Paxton said in a statement:

The Public Information Act ensures that “the people, in delegating authority, do not give their public servants the right to decide what is good for the people to know and what is not good for them to know.” Nevertheless, the City of San Antonio has refused to comply with the Office of the Attorney General’s investigation, instead claiming an exemption to disclosure.

“The City of San Antonio claims that it can hide documents because it anticipates being sued,” Attorney General Paxton said. “But we’ve simply opened an investigation using the Public Information Act. If a mere investigation is enough to excuse the City of San Antonio from its obligation to be transparent with the people of Texas, then the Public Information Act is a dead letter. The city’s extreme position only highlights its fear about allowing any sunshine on the religious bigotry that animated its decision.”

In response to the lawsuit, San Antonio City Attorney Andy Segovia questioned Paxton’s ability to investigate the issue without bias:

“It is clear from the strident comments in his press release that any ‘investigation’ would be a pretense to justify his own conclusions,” Segovia said in a written statement. In addition, he said, Paxton has yet to specify what authority he is relying upon to investigate the airport contract.

Paxton ordered his office to get involved in the controversy after the San Antonio city council voted in March to effectively ban the restaurant from their airport for seven years after a report from the liberal website Think Progress was released detailing Chick-fil-A’s 2017 charitable contributions.

The AG’s office is not the only branch of Texas’s government to step in. The Texas state legislature passed a “save Chick-fil-A” bill in May that Gov. Greg Abbott (R) is expected to sign.

EPIC TROLL. Trump Campaign Demands Federal Court Impose Sanctions on Democrat Attorneys For Frivolous Lawsuit

In April 2018, the DNC filed a lawsuit against the Russian Federation; the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (“GRU”); GRU operative using the pseudonym “Guccifer 2.0”; Aras Iskenerovich Agalarov, Emin Araz Agalarov, Joseph Mifsud, Wikileaks; Julian Assange; Donald J. Trump for President, Inc.; Donald J. Trump, Jr.; Paul J. Manafort, Jr.; Roger J. Stone, Jr.; Jared C. Kushner; George Papadopoulos; Richard W. Gates, III; and 10 enumerated John Does. The gist of the lawsuit is that the Trump campaign engaged in racketeering with the Russian government and Wikileaks to hack the DNC’s computers and distribute the emails.

This was never a terribly serious legal action because it is based on a premise that simply can’t be proven, that is, that the DNC computers were hacked by agents of the Russian government, or really that they were hacked at all. Essentially this was trolling by lawsuit combined with a PR effort by the Democrats to make their batsh** crazy base and the equally batsh** crazy Never Trump types think they were doing something besides sending fundraising emails.

Now the Trump campaign has filed a motion to impose sanctions on the DNC attorneys under Rule 11 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Rule 11 prohibits “pleadings for an improper purpose or that contain frivolous arguments or arguments that have no evidentiary support.” And it uses the Mueller report as its evidence:

It is sort of difficult to see how the DNC avoids having to withdraw basically all of their allegations against the Trump campaign even if they avoid having to pay attorneys fees. And one can bet that other defendants will soon follow suit, so to speak. What would be hilarious is if Wikileaks also demanded sanctions as the Mueller report showed there was not conspiracy between them and the Trump campaign.

You live by the troll, you die by the troll.

Nike Ad

West Point Must Cancel its Nike Contract

First of all, full disclosure; I am a 1980 graduate of that hallowed institution known as The United States Military Academy at West Point. Being raised in an environment of Duty, Honor, Country, quite necessarily colors my opinion on this matter.

Back in 2015, THE Academy (all others are merely cheap imitations, especially that place that teaches Boat Driving) collaborated with Nike in a rebranding of what was then known as, “Army Athletics.” Part of that rebranding was changing the “Army Team” to the “Army West Point” team. Along with that came a new set of color combinations for team uniforms that I must admit, are pretty decent.

This contract even extended across sales of fan “gear,” which I spend about as much on as Fly Fishing and Golf equipment…until recently. The first thing that sparked my ire, was Nike’s full throated support for that pampered millionaire, Colin Kaepernick. Like any real American, I expressed my personal displeasure by merely refusing to purchase more Nike emblazoned gear. Well, I also modified some of the stuff I had already purchased and did not wish to throw away.

This time, Nike has stepped way over the line. It has a new poster ad out showing 7 hijab wearing Muslim female athletes with the caption, “Don’t change who you are. Change the world.” Change the World alright. As I noted in a previous article, Islam is a politico, socio, military construct, masquerading as a religion in order to establish the World-wide Caliphate. Yes. Change the World. Change it into a woman subjugating, mutilating planet governed by a theocracy that thrives on violence, want, deprivation and envy.

The United States Military Academy at West Point needs to have no truck with an organization that promotes such in its advertising. I hope my fellow members of The Long Gray Line will step up and let The Academy know that we really don’t want our beloved Alma Mater involved with such an unpatriotic organization that obviously has such little concern for women.

Rachel Maddow Gets Blacklisted And Why CNN, MSNBC Always Get Beat In The Ratings

Please Come Back New York Times

This must be a sure sign of the apocalypse.

The Rachel Maddow Show over at MSNBC which is the featured product over at that network has been in a rating freefall which was covered here last week by my colleague Brandon Morse Rachel Maddow’s Ratings Are Still Falling With No Signs Of Stopping.

Well now comes this.

Her show along with others at MSNBC and CNN ( Don “My hair is not dyed” Lemon ) are facing a ban from the New York Times. You read that right. The old grey lady is saying that we can print crazy on our editorial pages, we just don’t want our reporters on your T.V. version of crazy shows.

According to Fox News

The New York Times had reportedly blocked its reporters from appearing on “Maddow” because the program is too partisan, with one insider from the Grey Lady’s newsroom agreeing, telling Fox News “it rubs off” on any journalist who is too closely aligned to the far left.

“I do think Maddow, and others on MSNBC, have very strong opinions that affect their ability to tell stories in an accurate way sometimes,” the source said. “You don’t get tainted just by appearing [on the show], but it’s better to err on the side of trying to maintain objectivity and caution.”

Cornell Law School professor and conservative blogger William A. Jacobson told Fox News that “Maddow built her viewership on Russia collusion conspiracy theories dressed up as analysis,” and said the Mueller Report “destroyed” her credibility.

“MSNBC is standing by her because she still has a large viewership emotionally invested bringing down Trump,” Jacobson said. “That some reporters refuse to go on her show is important, but is unlikely to change her behavior. Maddow long ago carved out her faux-intellectual paranoid niche, and she’s stuck in it.”

Professor Jacobson from Legal Insurrection simply nails it right here. Maddow, Don Lemon, Chris Cuomo, and Larry O’Donnell have been masquerading as legit news anchors for years and the Russia (Non) collusion story exposed them all for what they are.

Partisan commentators.

Sean Hannity and Laura Ingram over at Fox are also in that same category also. No one is tuning into any of these shows to get unbiased news that makes you go hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. You are tuning in to get your political bias itch scratched and to make a witty comment on Facebook or Twitter the next day.

The difference is that Fox promotes it that way. MSNBC and CNN want you to believe everyone is unbiased even if they worked for the DNC and still do in some way shape or form.

Don’t believe me?

Fox Media reporter Howard Kurtz has talked about the opinion side and news side at Fox and in the past been critical of those at the network as has Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace who did last month Wallace fires back at Fox ‘opinion people’ over Mueller letter. Fox freely admits that they have an opinion side and a news side. Taking colleagues to task is never easy to do but people at Fox have done that when needed.

When was the last time that Brian Stelter over at CNN did that? Stelter and Jake Tapper have been regulated to complaining about their colleagues being picked on rather than if anyone at the network is interested in reporting a story honestly.

Who in the hell does media analysis over at MSNBC? Your answer is nada. MSNBC gave up long ago on reporting anything other than spin but at least they are somewhat honest about it.

Which takes us back to the reason that the NYT is willing to have their staff forgo appearing on shows like Rachels, Don, and Lawerence. They all sold out that the Russian collusion story was a real thing and they can’t figure out how to move beyond it. The ratings have suffered and reporters that want to have any shot of credibility being seen on these shows will be tagged by the stench.

If they just went ahead and admitted they were opinion shows instead of news shows they could have mitigated some of that but they choose to play pretend. Now they have to super pretend that they still will matter going forward. That will be harder to do as more outlets will skip doing these shows as they become more unhinged as the election season continues.

Just like in the newspapers where there are the news section and then the editorial and opinion sections, CNN and MSNBC need to get back to that clear distinction and be honest about it. Their ratings will at least stabilize and then they can decide if they are happy with not getting what the advertisers will pay to be on Fox. There is absolutely no shame in being honest about your bias. The first step to that though is being honest about your bias.

If MSNBC and CNN do that than they have a shot at gaining a lil bit of ground.

Until then at least Rachel Maddow can take solace in that fact that during the 9 pm EDT time slot out of her counterparts at the other networks, CNN ( Cuomo ) and FOX ( Hannity ) she has the best hairdo of them all.

That won’t pay the bills but it should make her feel warm and fuzzy inside while the New York Times reporters skip her show.

Watch How PolitiFact Excuses Blatant Lies Told By Barack Obama About American Gun Laws While In Brazil

Last week, former (former…former…former…I just can’t say that enough) President Barack Obama was doing something or another in Brazil that we hope did not involve wearing a Speedo and participated in a “town hall” discussion. He was asked about the most difficult moment of his presidency and he said the sacking of the US Consulate in Benghazi. Kidding. He said it was the Sandy Hook school shooting. Fair enough. But what followed next was an series of lies that would have made Goebbels blush.

“Some of you may be aware that our gun laws in the United States don’t make much sense. Anybody can buy any weapon, any time without much, if any, regulation. They buy it over the internet. They can buy machine guns.”

There is literally not a single truth in this sentence.

Anyone can’t buy any weapon. There are age restrictions, restrictions based on penal servitude and mental capacity and residency. There are restrictions on what weapons can be sold. You can’t buy a weapon over the internet without dealing with a vendor who had a federal firearms license. It is possible to buy a machinegun but very difficult and very expensive. Obama strings it in with other weapons and makes it seem like you can walk into the 7-11 at midnight, drunk, and walk out with an M-240B.

PolitiFact, the leftwing advocacy organization that tries to pretend it fact checks statements, got involved once Obama started getting a lot of flak from the right on this nonsense. They dutifully find, as I stated above that none of it is true at least in the context of the US having lax or non-existent gun laws.

Obama said that in the United States, “anybody can buy any weapon, any time without much, if any, regulation. They buy it over the internet. They can buy machine guns.”

The assertion that anybody can buy a weapon flies in the face of the many types of people, from felons to drug abusers to spouse abusers, who may not buy weapons. Internet sales are legal, as he said, and they take place under the same rules that govern other gun sales.

As for machine guns, they are strictly illegal, with the exception under legal controls of models from 1986 and earlier.

How do they rate it?

Westlake Legal Group obama-politifact-guns Watch How PolitiFact Excuses Blatant Lies Told By Barack Obama About American Gun Laws While In Brazil poltifact Politics Media Guns gun laws Front Page Stories Featured Story democrats Brazil Barack Obama Allow Media Exception 2A

WTF? I mean, WTFingF? There is nothing in that statement that is true in the context of the point that Obama was trying to make. It was simply a baldfaced lie of epic proportions. So why did they hedge it? And why did they give Trump a “Pants on Fire” rating for his opinion that the Obama White House didn’t act on Russian meddling in the 2016 electins (see Politifact Demonstrates Why It Is Incapable Of Separating Fact From Fiction)?

Because PolitiFact doesn’t care about truth or fiction or journalism. PolitiFact exists to protect Democrats and to damage Republicans. Much like most of the other alleged fact checkers plying their grift.

In one of the better feel good stories I’ve seen in a while, Fox News 4 reports that a 7 year old boy from Texas has raised $22,000.00 in support of President Trump and the Border Wall. Young Benton Stevens opened up a hot chocolate stand and used the proceeds to donate to the private, Build The Wall Fund,” run by wounded Veteran and triple amputee, Brian Kolfage. From the article

It all started with President Donald J. Trump’s State of the Union Address. Benton’s mother, Jennifer, told Fox 35 that Benton decided to start raising money for the border wall construction after President Trump said that we needed to protect our country and build a wall.

“Benton decided right then and there that he wanted to help the President build the wall,” Jennifer said.

Somebody is raising that kid right. Check out the entire article. It shows that the younger generations aren’t totally lost. Hopefully, Mom & Dad can keep him inoculated against the leftist propaganda he’s sure to be subjected to as he passes through our disordered education system.

Nicely Done Benton!

As I wrote on last week, Vox’s Carlos Maza started a campaign to get Steven Crowder banned from Youtube.

This stemmed from a rebuttal video that Crowder did on his show responding to Maza trashing conservative news outlets. You see, Maza is free to name call, use vulgarities, and go after anyone he wants, but the moment someone gives it back to him, he wants those people banished from society.

In fact, at one point Maza called for the assaulting of those he disagrees with.

This guy is not a victim. He’s a disingenuous, squirrelly guy who makes a living sliming others unfairly.

Here’s part of Maza’s original appeal to get Crowder banned.

If you’ve ever seen any of Maza’s videos, you know the above tweets are essentially a one to one representation of how annoying he is. He’s as liberal as they come, routinely skews facts, and presents things in bad faith on a consistent basis. In response, Crowder just had a little fun with the guy. That’s America. We are allowed to make fun of people (at least for now).

Maza doesn’t think so though and started interfacing with Youtube directly (because if you are a liberal, you get special treatment) to try to get Crowder’s channel banned. So far that hasn’t happened.

In response to all this, Steven Crowder released one of the funniest videos I’ve seen in years. Seriously, do yourself a favor and actually watch it. I get that when someone posts a video, most people only watch the first five seconds, but this is worth it. Trust me.

As you can see from his response, this re-triggered the heck out of Maza.

The best part of the video? Crowder apologizes to every single person of note he’s ever joked about on his show, including people like Hillary Clinton and Rachel Maddow. But there’s one lone exception: Carlos Maza. He’s never mentioned in what culminates into one of the all time greatest trolls I’ve witnessed on the internet. 20 minutes of dead pan apologies and Crowder dares Maza to start freaking out again.

Sure enough, that’s exactly what he did.

Maza is now currently trying to pressure advertisers to drop Youtube over their (current) refusal to ban Crowder. In reality, there’s no reason to ban him, as Crowder’s show meticulously follows Youtube’s community rules. Do he push the envelope? You bet he does. That’s what makes comedy funny and edgy. But he’s done nothing to justify being thrown off the platform.

Maza knows this but is pushing for it anyway because that’s what liberals do. They try to silence those that disagree with them and they certainly can’t take a joke.

We’ll see what Youtube ends up doing here. I suspect they’ll just try to ignore the situation until it blows over but if Maza’s call picks up steam, we could actually see Crowder’s show, which boasts almost 4M subscribers, taken down. If that happens, it’ll really be time to push the panic button for conservatives who have feared the censorship culture wouldn’t stop at Alex Jones.

Stay tuned.

UPDATE:

Youtube has officailly ruled against Carlo Maza and will not de-platform Steven Crowder.

Let the rustling of the jimmies begin.

PBS Abortion Documentary Features Chilling Justification by Woman Who Aborts Twins On Screen

The pro-abortion crowd is reaching untold heights in how horrid it can be, and the latest PBS documentary proves it with a clip that stuns the viewer as much as it breaks their heart.

In the clip, a red-haired woman is seen talking a nurse. She’s currently pregnant with twins in the clip. As she and the nurse talk she is handed a pill which will kill the babies and initiate a miscarriage. The woman takes the pill on screen, which is you, the viewer, effectively watching as a woman kills her babies.

As this happens, the nurse describes the process, saying that after 24 hours she will take an additional pill that will then begin the cramps and bleeding that will push what she calls the “pregnancy tissue” out of her body.

The woman who swallowed the pill is then interviewed, and she gives what I can only describe as an incredibly disturbing justification for aborting her twin babies.

“What I hope I feel is a sense of peace — not only with myself and the decision I’ve made — but also a sense of peace with these two beings that I’ve chosen not to bring into the world,” says the woman.

She then speaks to the camera but addresses the babies she’s just aborted.

“Thank you for choosing me, and I’m honored to be given this gift of life, and also I can’t do it right now,” she said. “I can’t accept that mantle in terms of the other lives I’m taking care of and I’m responsible for.”

I’m not sure what’s more disturbing. The fact that we literally witness a woman nonchalantly take a pill that unceremoniously terminates two innocent lives or the fact that she thanks the babies she just aborted for choosing her and giving her a gift that she rejected out of inconvenience.

I’ve seen some weird justifications by women who aborted their children before, including a woman who claimed her baby sang her a lullaby telling her it’s okay that she aborted it. This display, however, left me far more shocked.

Star Wars Admiral Ackbar Actor Was Devastated About Director’s Disrespect to His Character and Death

Westlake Legal Group Capture-1-620x374 Star Wars Admiral Ackbar Actor Was Devastated About Director’s Disrespect to His Character and Death Tim Rose Star Wars Rian Johnson Hollywood Front Page Stories Featured Story Entertainment death Allow Media Exception Admiral Ackbar

Tim Rose is a Star Wars alumn most popularly known by his character “Admiral Ackbar.” He only had about a dozen lines throughout the franchise, but like the mostly mute Boba Fett, his character was celebrated and beloved by fans. Ackbar even became a famous meme immortalizing his most famous phrase: “IT’S A TRAP!”

The love of the fans, however, seemed to make him a prime target for disrespect by The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson, who confessed to wanting to kill off the old parts of the Star Wars universe. It didn’t seem to matter how, either.

Ackbar unceremoniously died at the beginning of the movie after the ship’s helm was struck, blowing him out into space. He was then replaced with one of the worst characters ever conceived of in Star Wars history, Vice Admiral Holdo, who had no trouble competing in absurdity and annoyance with The Phantom Menace‘s Jar Jar Binks.

I go further into that atrocity in a different article: “JJ Abrams Claims Hate Over “The Last Jedi” Is Due To Fear Of Women (And Here’s Why He’s Gravely Mistaken

No one was harder hit by that disappointment than Rose who waited 30 years to reprise his role, only to have it tossed into the garbage.

In an interview with Jamie Stangroom, Rose said that a more epic death scene was filmed but went unused. Stangroom asked Rose if he was disappointed in the way his legendary character was sent off.

“So in The Last Jedi, I was quite looking forward to maybe them giving him something more juicy,” Rose said. “We were only given the script on the day when we were shooting that piece of script, so each day I would come to work going, ‘Is today the day when Ackbar gets something a bit more involving?’ And I looked at my script and I went, ‘Oh, Ackbar’s going out of the window. Well, that’s that then!’ I wasn’t quite dead yet.”

After it was all said and done, Rose was asked to come back. He thought that perhaps the cast and crew were going to thank him for his time spent as a well-loved character in a time-honored series. Instead, they had him perform a menial task they thought would be funny.

Rose confessed that he was crying in his suit from being so let down after being given so much hope.

“We finished all of our bits and they asked me to come down to camera. And I thought, ‘Oh well, maybe they’re going to say thank you for being one of the heritage characters and giving 30 years and all that.’ But what they did was, they gave me a Millennium Falcon sign that had the day and the date on it, the scene number, and they said, ‘Can you look at the camera and say ‘It’s a wrap?’ Because that would be really funny.’”

“I was actually in tears in the suit because I thought – after everything, after hoping there’d be something, after knowing there wasn’t going to be anything else, Ackbar’s final moment before he went into the box was a big joke about ‘It’s a wrap.’ They just thought ‘Wouldn’t it be funny?’ And that was the sum total of my life as Ackbar.”

It’s heartbreaking to think that Ackbar’s legacy ends with tears of disappointment, all so that Johnson could introduce a modern political edge with Holdo who was meant to inspire a sense of girl power in the movies. In the end, Ackbar’s death meant nothing.

Perhaps that doesn’t sound like much to you, especially given Ackbar’s minor role, but for Rose, it was far more. He had been Ackbar for 30 years. It was one of his biggest points of pride, and it was taken away by a sub-par director with a political itch to scratch and a disregard for the fans that built and maintained the Star Wars sub-culture.
