The End Of A Dream…Not Even Chris Wallace Thought The Democrats Had A Good Day

Westlake Legal Group ap-robert-mueller-migraine-620x432 The End Of A Dream…Not Even Chris Wallace Thought The Democrats Had A Good Day Special Counsel Robert Mueller President Trump Mueller Investigation House Democrats Front Page Stories Featured Story FBI and DOJ Corruption donald trump democrats corruption Congress Allow Media Exception 2020

What a way for it all to end. Throughout Mueller’s testimony, one could almost hear the sound of the air escaping from the Democrats’ impeachment balloon. By the afternoon, committee members had gotten the memo. Other than some variation of “I support what’s in the report, I’m not going to get into that, that is accurate, true, yes, or no,” Robert Mueller would not be answering their questions today.

The former Special Counsel, who will turn 75 in two weeks, appeared in both looks and demeanor to be closer to age 90. He asked for most questions to be repeated. Questions about Christopher Steele and the FBI’s role in spying on the Trump campaign were off limits. At a certain point, it became difficult to watch and I almost began to feel sorry for this man whom I’ve despised for two years.

In terms of kick-starting national enthusiasm for impeaching the President, it was a flop. After today’s hearings, it will be challenging, to say the least, to make the case for impeachment. Prior to Mueller’s testimony, the majority of Americans were opposed to the measure. That number will, if anything, increase.

Not even Chris Wallace thought the Democrats had a good day! He said, “This has been a disaster for the Democrats and I think it’s been a disaster for the reputation of Robert Mueller.”

There was, however, one point upon which Mueller made himself very clear. He wanted Americans to know that, but for the DOJ OLC guidelines, his team would have recommended charges against Trump. I will be posting on this topic separately.

Today was the day Robert Mueller was going to make it rain for the House Democrats. Many Republicans, including Rush Limbaugh and Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), were fearful of what he might say. Both had expressed concern over the last week that Mueller had been rehearsing with Democratic committee members and would reveal some devastating new information with which they hoped to breath new life into their impeachment dreams. But Mueller failed to deliver. In a big way.

Rush put up a clip of a rather unhappy Chuck Todd, whom he refers to as F. Chuck Todd. Todd is speaking to NBC co-anchor Andrea Mitchell. Todd says:

The fact is we are living in this twenty-first century new type of asymmetrical media warfare that we’re in. You have a propaganda machine on the right — that’s what it is, is a full-fledged propaganda machine on the right — that the Democrats haven’t figured out how to combat very well yet.

Andrea Mitchell responds, “And they were warned —.”

Todd replies, “And I think they took the Trump bait, meaning they said, “Oh, yeah? You’re good at TV spectacles? We’re gonna make a TV spectacle!”

Rush translates this for us:

F. Chuck Todd thinks this has been a disaster today. He thinks it’s been an absolute disaster…They’re worried. They really are. This has been a debacle! Mueller was supposed to be fit, full of vigor. He was supposed to be cogent and coherent! He was supposed to be say, “I can’t get the guy, but you have to!” That’s what they were hoping! They’ve been trying to make something real that isn’t!

Apart from Mueller’s obvious fatigue, his unfamiliarity with much of the material in the report was remarkable. A Fox News panel this morning was calling it a “staff driven investigation.” Many of us guessed it had been run by Andrew Weissmann. Today confirmed it.

Rush sums it up:

The Democrat Party — led by Jerry Nadler and this committee — has been attempting to maneuver Mueller into saying, essentially, “I was hamstrung by Department of Justice guidelines. I couldn’t get the guy. You have to do it.” That’s what they wanted him to say. They wanted him to greenlight impeachment because the polling data on it is so opposed to it, and he won’t do it. I don’t think Mueller knows where he is today. Well, that’s a bit of an exaggeration. But it is obvious Robert Mueller has never been more than a figurehead in this investigation.

Jim Jordan Fillets Mueller on Joseph Mifsud Not Being Charged, Exposes Serious Credibility Issues With the Probe

Today’s hearings have been an absolute disaster for Robert Mueller’s reputation and the Democrat narrative push toward impeachment. Seriously, look up the word disaster in the dictionary, and you’ll see a snapshot from today of Mueller sitting barely lucid before Congress. He couldn’t remember basic details, stammered constantly, and he obviously has no idea what is even in the actual report, that being the report he supposedly wrote.

There are going to be a lot of viral moments from the proceedings, almost all of them dealing with Mueller looking clueless or making nonsensical statements.

One of the major issues brought up today dealt with Joseph Mifsud. If you don’t know who that is, he’s the “informant” that claimed to have Hillary’s emails and appears to have purposely sought out George Papadopoulos to plant that seed. Mifsud also lied to the FBI three times during the course of the investigation.

Given that Mueller had no qualms with charging multiple people with lying to investigators, the natural question is why Mifsud was let off the hook. Rep. Jim Jordan asks that question and absolutely fillets Mueller’s nonsensical and obfuscating response.

Mueller hides behind privilege, claiming he can’t discuss charging decisions, which is absolutely ridiculous. The entire Mueller report is a discussion of charging decisions. Why is Mifsud special? Why was Michael Flynn’s life destroyed over a white lie dealing with something completely mundane, but Joseph Mifsud can lie to the FBI three times and not even be brought in for further questioning?

The answer is simple. Joseph Mifsud wasn’t connected to Donald Trump.

When you go through the Mueller report and who was charged, one thing is clear. Robert Mueller and his team purposely chose to ignore criminality by various actors and only focused on people in Trump’s orbit. That means they give a sweetheart deal to a Ukrainian Oligarch instead of charging him. That means they let a pedophile leave the country and remain uncharged for years because they thought he had dirt on Trump. It means they don’t even interview Christopher Steele after it was known he lied to the FBI. Fusion GPS’s founder, Glenn Simpson, escaped scrutiny as well. This despite him being at the very center of the Trump Tower meeting. In fact, Mueller claimed to not even know what Fusion GPS was.

Despite all of this, we still have some “Republicans” making excuses for this nonsense because they’ve put so much of their own credibility into backing Mueller.

Joseph Mifsud was not a “fruitful foreign intelligence source.” He was a liar who’s actions started an investigation into what turned out to be disgusting smear. It takes an otherworldly level of obtuseness to hand wave away Mifsud’s actions in such a way, but Rothman manages to reach that level. It’s also ironic to see so many “rule of law” conservatives suddenly decide that if you are a “foreign intelligence source” that said laws don’t apply anymore and we should just trust the bureaucracies to make those decisions.

This investigation was a partisan farce and it’s been exposed as such today. Mueller was simply a figurehead. He didn’t write his own report and that’s painfully obvious. He let a group of partisan Democrat boosters like Andrew Weissmann run wild and simply rubber stamped their work. Meanwhile, blatant criminality by people like Steele, Mifsud, and Podesta was completely ignored and covered up with ridiculous claims that they were outside of Mueller’s purview.

Now, we are left to hope the Barr-Durham investigation sheds some light on the misconduct that took place during this entire ordeal. I sincerely hope Barr realizes how important his work is and how reaching conclusions in a timely manner, before the next election, is paramount to rebuilding some kind of public trust after this dumpster fire we witnessed today.

Ivy League Prof Leading Celibate Life With His Ex Gets Lesbian Pregnant and Gets Punked by Lesbian’s Trans Lover And Her Boyfriend

Men are stupid.

There.

I said it.

I said it despite being a man.

Because as long as a woman meets a minimal floor of aesthetic appeal she can convince a man that he’s incredibly attractive and charming. That floor, of course, is a function of the desperation of the man to feel attractive, the floor can be so low that reasonable people could mistake it for a sub-basement (see Schwarzenegger, Arnold). Oddly enough, the men who most often do the most stupid things for women are those who believe they are smarter than everyone else.

Yesterday, I stumbled upon this sad case via, naturally, Twitter.

Key facts.

Our hero, Bruce Hay, is a professor at Harvard Law. He’s a true social justice warrior (which makes this whole story a lot sweeter) who claimed that Gorsuch’s confirmation would make Trump an authoritarian (The only thing standing between Trump and authoritarianism: the supreme court). He’s not a very accomplished male though. At the time of the sad, sad events I’m about to recount, he’d been divorced for 16 years but was still living with his ex-wife in a celibate way but was not allowed to pick up any strange along the way.

Hay has been legally divorced since 1999, but he lives with his ex-wife, Jennifer Zacks, an assistant U.S. Attorney in Boston, and their two young children…Since moving back in with his ex-wife in 2004, he says, their relationship had been mostly platonic, and the two had an understanding that if either of them wanted to see other people, they’d have to move out.

Then he meets a girl:

On March 7, 2015, Harvard Law professor Bruce Hay, then 52, was in Tags Hardware in Cambridge, Massachusetts, near his home, when a young woman with long reddish-brown hair approached him to ask where she could find batteries. It was still very much winter, and, once the woman got his attention, he saw that underneath her dark woolen coat and perfectly tied scarf she was wearing a dress and a chic pair of boots — hardly typical weekend-errand attire in the New England college town. When he directed her to another part of the store, she changed the subject. “By the way, you’re very attractive,” he remembers her saying.

At this point his alarms should have been going off, but often with men our fail-safe devices don’t function as designed…or maybe they do function as designed…either way, when a (sorta) attractive woman about 30 years your junior hits on you in a freakin hardware store, you would be forgiven for laughing in her face.

They hook up, sorta.

He didn’t mind that a physical relationship was probably off the table — he was taking antidepressants, which often hampered his ability to enjoy sex anyway. Then, on the day Shuman told him she was leaving for New York on her way back to Europe, Hay says, she invited him to her room at the Taj Hotel in Boston, started kissing him, and led him to her bed.

By the way, did I mention that this girl thought Hay was so hot that she turned straight? Because she’s a lesbian with a transgender ex-wife…and three children.

She was now 32, an accountant with young children. Hay says she told him she had two toddlers she was co-parenting with an ex-wife, who lived in London. File under friendship, Hay thought. Shuman also told him about the friend she was staying with, Mischa Haider, a brilliant trans woman pursuing a doctorate in physics at Harvard who was struggling with crippling depression. Hay, who also battled depression, listened with particular interest.

Then comes the kicker:

Six weeks after they broke off contact, Shuman called Hay to tell him she was pregnant with his baby. She hadn’t had sex with another man in the past year, she said. Hay was stunned; he hadn’t ejaculated during either of their encounters, a side effect of his medication. But he understood that pregnancy was possible, if rare, without orgasm. Shuman said she was weighing whether to terminate the pregnancy, then quickly followed up by saying she’d made the decision to carry to term — she was due in January.

And the trans ex-wife of the lesbian? Well she has a boyfriend.

Hay’s relationship with the women could be intoxicating. Even in an international, liberal college town like Cambridge, Hay had never encountered anyone like them, “nearly perfect people” who were “bright and kind and sweet to their children and socially conscious,” and whose family composed a striking, distinctly modern portrait: Haider, a loquacious, impassioned Indian-Pakistani trans woman physicist, the mother of two children (who call her “Maman”) birthed by the sultry, soft-spoken French daughter of a major Jewish American songwriter (she’s called “Sumi”). (Haider’s boyfriend Klein, Hay later discovered, also helped raise the children, who refer to him as “Daddy.”)

And this guy thinks his own ex-wife will be totally fine with it all:

Hay wanted both families to meet, certain that they could find a way to make peace. “I had this crazy idea that everyone could get along, that Jennifer would like them,” he says.

Somehow this woman seems to have a magnet for truly dumb men who think they are smart. Eventually Hay discovers she pulled the pregnancy thing on another guy. They had sex once and ended up in court…

Oddly, one key fact eluded the attention of everyone in the court: Shuman’s first child’s birthday is December 10, 2011–two years after their encounter.

Hay doesn’t think he’s the father but there is the whole woke thing that he’s a part of so he can’t doubt her word.

Not only did he trust Shuman, he felt it would have been insulting for a heterosexual cisgender man to question a professed lesbian as to whether she’d had sex with other men

I can’t go on but this is the synopsis:

Over the next four years, the law professor would be drawn into a “campaign of fraud, extortion, and false accusations,” as one of his lawyers would later say in legal proceedings. At one point, Hay’s family would be left suddenly homeless. At another, owing to what his lawyer has described as the “weaponiz[ation] of the university’s Title IX machinery against Hay,” he would find himself indefinitely suspended from his job. He would accrue over $300,000 in legal bills with no end to the litigation in sight. “Maria-Pia and Mischa want money,” Hay told me last summer, “but only for the sake of squeezing it out of people — it’s the exertion of power.”

As you read this, keep in mind that this is a Harvard Law School professor. This is a guy who thinks he is smarter than you, and knows more than you, and should be able to run your life for you. As you read this, also remember that not only did this happen but he encouraged someone to write a story about it. If this had happened to a normal man…and who among us has not done profoundly stupid and unwise things in the hope of getting the favors of some young woman…he might tell this story to a close friend as they got blind staggering drunk. He certainly wouldn’t tell it to people who are going to publicly mock him.

Anyway, read the whole thing. I guarantee you one thing, even as you shake your head in disbelief you will never, ever feel an ounce of sympathy for him because he’s just that much of a self-absorbed douche.

[Screenshot from Late Night with Seth Meyers, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLpPWiyilqQ]

In my opinion, Cory Booker is sort of the Michael Avenatti of our current congressional landscape. He seems intent upon posturing in really goofy ways and wholly unaware of how he comes across.

But maybe I’m wrong.

Judge for yourself.

On Tuesday, Farticus (here) revealed a private urge: the compulsion to commit violence against one Donald J. Trump.

He admitted the dark urge to Seth Meyers on his eponymous nightly NBC gig.

Cory wanted everyone to know he’s a man.

YEAH! HUAH!

And also, that Donald Trump’s a meanie:

“Donald Trump is a guy who — you understand, he hurts you. My testosterone sometimes makes me want to feel like punching him, which would be bad for this elderly, out-of-shape man that he is if I did that. This physically weak specimen.”

What would’ve happened if a congressman had gone on national television and said that about President Obama?

How might it have impacted a politician trying to attain Oval Office glory?

I’m thinking their plight would’ve been less than optimal afterward.

But the media, so far as I can tell, believe where Trump is concerned — as the song in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom says — “anything goes.”

Cory continued:

“But you see what I’m talking there? That’s his tactics, and you don’t beat a bully like him, fighting him, on his tactics, on his terms, using his turf. He’s the body shamer. He’s the guy that tries to drag people into the gutter.”

He’s mixing the high stakes of America’s future with something as asinine as criticizing a person’s fitness level? And didn’t Cory himself just call Trump “out of shape”?

The senator went on to share a story — he was in Iowa campaigning when a former Stanford tight end put his arm around him. The athlete asked Cory to punch the President in the face.

The New Jersey politician used it as a teachable moment for all of us.

Here we go…

Cue the inspirational music. Cast the best Lincolnish light on Cory…

“This is a moral moment in America. And to me, what we need for our next leader — especially after the time for moral vandalism that we’re in right now — is we need a leader that’s not going to call us to the worst of who we are, but call us to the best of who we are. In this moral moment, we need to not to talk about necessarily what we’re against, but what we’re for, and the best way of looking at this is just our history.”

Isn’t he neck-deep in talking about what we’re against?

The goob is all over the place.

Back to his 2020 presidential moment: A montage would be good about now. Maybe some military shots. Footage of protests…families…some people saying the Pledge…

“The gardens of our democracy have never been free of the weeds of bigotry, hatred, demagoguery. Every generation has had them.”

Someone should tell Cory that bigotry means “intolerance for an opposing view.”

Booker compared Trump to integration-opposing Alabama Gov. George Wallace.

Something Cory may not know: George was a Democrat.

Do it, Senator:

“How did we beat [racists] before? We beat Bull Connor, for example, in Birmingham, not by bringing bigger dogs and bigger fire hoses and matching his demagoguery with more, but these were incredible artists of activism that called to the moral imagination of a country. That called us to a revival of that civic grace, that pulled black folks and white folks and more folks together. That relegated that demagogue to the ash heap of history.”

“That demagogue,” it should be observed, was also a Democrat.

But I’ll give Cory points for two things:

  • The ol’ use of “us” versus them. To all those aspiring to electoral greatness: Use “us” as if you were part of the good guys in some far-removed event, and contrast that against the baddies. Example: Even though you’re on Earth and living in 2019, if you run for office, say things like “We beat Darth Vader by using the Force.” Suddenly, voters think of you as Luke Skywalker, even though you had nothing to do with it.
  • Cory’s notion of bringing the races together. That’s genuinely a good idea, and something Democrats don’t seem to much mention.

So how do we triumph over the Dark Side? Like this:

“We will not beat Donald Trump by trying to be more like him, but by showing that we are not like him. We are not weak morally, we are not weak mentally, we’re a strong nation, and we’re a nation that unites.”

Fight on, Farticus Skywalker. Use the Farce.

-ALEX

Mueller’s Testimony Drives a Stake Through the Heart of the Impeachment Boogeyman

Robert Mueller’s testimony is over and the verdict seems to be that so is any serious talk of impeachment.

I don’t know what Mueller expected…or even if he’s capable of expecting anything…but he faced a fired up and prepared Republican caucus that flayed him alive. He was obviously unfamiliar with his own report, he was evasive, he was non-responsive, he was detached…not in the aloof kind of way but in the senile kind of way. He claimed to not know about things that were not only covered in the report but which had been center of public discussion for months, such as the role of Fusion GPS and the nature of the contact between Joseph Mifsud and George Papadopoulos.

This is the consensus from the people who saw Mueller’s testimony as the way of jump-starting an investigation that had died.

There are still true believers out there who were quoting Ted Lieu

but Lieu is an idiot and everyone knows that.

Democrats who are concerned about 2020, that that would be the nearly all the Democrats who created Nancy Pelosi’s majority in 2018, aren’t going to want to vote to start impeachment proceedings based on the mutterings of a man who seems one step away from sitting in a corner and drooling.

Ironically, the upside to this farcical performance is also its downside. On some level it was always hard to shake the notion that President Trump was trying to goad the Democrats into beginning impeachment and having that in the background as the nation was making its choice for president and for who would represent them in Congress.

The Average American Simply Does Not Care About the Mueller Mess

The Democrats are holding hearings on the Mueller Report and it’s as much political theater as one would expect. Clips and analysis are available right here at this site. Needless to say, the testimony was heavy on grandstanding and light on new revelations. Perhaps the only people really even watching it are politicos and commentators. The Democrats in Congress surely know that the American people are not very moved by the details of the Mueller investigation. Why would they continue to draw out this media circus for very little public gain?

The answer, of course is that they are trying to create an unearned buzz around the Mueller report because this is what they’ve pinned their impeachment hopes on for two years now. To let it die is to let go of the last vestiges of the argument. They need Americans to care…but the problem is, most of us don’t.

The Mueller report has been out for months – dissected, poured over, pulled apart, analyzed incessantly. But the average American isn’t holding their breath over it all. Remember when people all over New York City took the day off work and crowded into pubs and restaurants at 8 a.m. just to watch James Comey “destroy” President Trump with his testimony?

There are no “Mueller testimony drink specials” today.

Americans are burned out on the promises of the Left to take down Trump. From the moment it became clear Trump would be the next president, left-wing politicians and progressive media have been screaming that there must have been some cheating involved. No way could it be that they got the concerns and requests of the average American voter so woefully wrong. Trump must have cheated because President Hillary Clinton was all but promised to us.

The Washington Post dramatically changed their motto to “Democracy Dies in the Dark”; the Women’s March popped up and promised us they would #Resist the president until he was driven out of office.

The Comey investigation became a lynchpin of Democrat resistance, and when the report of his findings was released we were assured that this would be the most damning thing to come out about a sitting president in the history of this nation. A show hearing ensued and as discussed above, boys and girls in the coastal cities excitedly took a day off work to sit in bars and watch the downfall of the Orange Bad Man.

It landed with a thud…as those of us who actually read Comey’s pre-released testimony already knew it would.

Rape claims against Trump…thud.

Kavanaugh hearings that turned into an indictment of Trump’s temperament and the effectiveness as a leader.

Thud.

Rape claims from unstable columnists.

Thud.

Soundbite after soundbite after soundbite of edited, unsavory comments by Trump.

Thud. Thud. Thud.

The nightly news keeps promising us that Trump’s days are coming to an end, and yet the promise never arrives. In fact, Trump just keep polling higher and higher while the economy picks up steam and day-to-day life seems a bit better for most Americans when they’re not using social media as their gauge.

Imagine being an average voter – not particularly informed but you show up for the big elections and hope for the best the rest of the time – and feeling terrible that Trump won. Imagine you’ve been promised by the politicos you most respect that they would not only remove Trump from office, but they would make the case compellingly and quickly. Then imagine getting yourself psyched up for the other shoe to drop only to me met with the sound of that “THUD” after every promise.

For over two years now the legacy media has been bombarding us with promises that THIS IS THE THING that will finally bring Trump down – the “this” just keeps changing.

Americans – especially those who lean left – are exhausted by the promises. The Democrat party has mercilessly painted Trump as a white supremacist (never before he took office with an (R) behind his name, though of course), a bully, an abuser and Literally HitlerWestlake Legal Group 2122 The Average American Simply Does Not Care About the Mueller Mess Trumps Trump Derangement Syndrome Show Trial Mueller Investigation mueller hearings Front Page Stories Featured Story exhaustion elections . It has been a nonstop festival of fear.

If I’m a faithful Democrat voter and I’ve been hearing about how evil Trump is every day without ceasing, I’m wondering just what the hell is so hard about saving the country from Literally HitlerWestlake Legal Group 2122 The Average American Simply Does Not Care About the Mueller Mess Trumps Trump Derangement Syndrome Show Trial Mueller Investigation mueller hearings Front Page Stories Featured Story exhaustion elections ? If this is a state of emergency, why are we not storming the gates, arresting him and restoring liberty? If it’s that bad, what are we waiting for?

Americans are weary. They want a smoking gun and the Democrats just keep showing up with hot dogs for the weenie roast. There is no smoking gun, no recorded conversation where we’ll hear Trump admit he’s just been running a hoax this whole time, that he’s Putin’s secret lover and that the moon landing was faked. Everything must be insinuated, interpreted and filtered and Americans are loosing their patience for such things. We’re over two years into this presidency. If no one is going to fire their weapon then most people need to move on with their lives.

The Mueller hearings are a show trial – an expensive ploy to glean two or three soundbites for the news. They are not for the benefit of the people. The people are growing tired of rage, which is dangerous because after rage comes boredom. Imagine what politics will look like when every single person in America is simply too bored to care.

Earlier this month, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) visited a border detention center in Texas along with a Congressional delegation of other Democrats. She made some alarming claims after her visit, including alleging that migrant women told her they were forced to drink water out of toilets.

Here’s what she said at the time:

There have been other disturbing things alleged about the conditions at these centers, but while most Republicans and Democrats agree (for now, anyway) that the conditions represent a crisis, reports that migrants had to drink from toilets seemed to be far-fetched. Nevertheless, the mainstream media latched on to them as evidence that President Trump was deliberately mistreating those being detained.

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) posted a video on Instagram Tuesday in which he indicated he wanted to “set the record straight” on AOC’s claims about migrants and the toilet water. Here’s what he said (transcribed):

“You all remember the controversy of immigrants having to drink out of toilets. Now, I don’t think that most people believed that but let’s actually clarify it.

I spoke to the agents today here in El Paso who were there when AOC was making that accusation. Here’s what happened.

When she was asking immigrants where they got their water from, they said ‘el baño.’ Okay. In Spanish, ‘el baño’ could mean toilet, it could mean bathroom. Here’s what they were actually pointing at.

They were pointing at this. You see a sink and you see a toilet. This is potable water. This is where migrants actually get their water from a lot of times. Either this, or a water cooler right outside.

In subsequent conversations, they made that very clear. They said no, no, no we’re not actually drinking out of a toilet, but that lie …”

The video cut off at that point. Watch Crenshaw’s demonstration below:

The first term Congressman has not been shy in the past about taking on AOC’s assertions about the illegal immigration issue on the whole and conditions at the border specifically. In fact, he has emerged as a leading Republican voice in the House when it comes to the border crisis and how the true Democratic party position is for open borders with no enforcement.

Robert Mueller Makes Ridiculous Claim About Fusion GPS and the Steele Dossier During Hearing

There’s going to be a lot coming out about Mueller’s testimony today and none of it is particularly for the special counsel or Democrats.

Mueller was thoroughly embarrassed and exposed at multiple points, some of which will be covered later by other writers, but one exchange stuck out like a sore thumb to me.

Former special counsel Robert Mueller said Wednesday that he was “not familiar” with Fusion GPS, the opposition research firm that commissioned the Steele dossier.

Mueller revealed his surprising lack of familiarity with the firm during an exchange with Ohio Rep. Steve Chabot, a Republican member of the House Judiciary Committee.

“When you talk about the firm that produced the Steele reporting, the name of the firm that produced that was Fusion GPS, is that correct?” Chabot asked.

“I’m not familiar with that,” said Mueller, while scouring through his 448-page report of the Russia probe.

I’m not even sure what to say to that exchange, so here’s a gif before I go ahead and come up with something to say about that exchange.

Does Robert Mueller not realize that Fusion GPS played a central role in the Trump Tower meeting that formed a large basis of his investigative work? Shouldn’t he also know that Fusion GPS was behind the Steele Dossier, which formed a basis for the entire investigation and was cited in his report?

On that note, things get worse. Mueller then inexplicably claims he didn’t investigate the Steele dossier because it was “not in my purview.”

Again, here’s a gif to express my feelings on this while I gather my thoughts.

The Steele dossier, which was the foundation of all the claims of conspiracy that eventually led to Robert Mueller’s appointment, was not in Mueller’s purview? It was also cited in his report, which means there’s no excuse whatsoever to not have looked into its credibility.

When cornered about that fact, Mueller gives this nonsensical excuse.

The Barr/Durham investigation is new. It started after Mueller’s investigation was completed. Is the special counsel seriously making the claim he didn’t look into Fusion GPS or the Steele dossier because he knew, via some future telling power, that it would later be subject of a DOJ investigation by an AG who wasn’t even appointed yet?

Let’s also note that Mueller spent much of his time going after Paul Manafort for crimes that occurred years earlier, had nothing to do with Russia, and had no connection to the 2016 election. Yet, he found those “within his purview” while a document and agency (Fusion GPS) that formed the basis of the conspiracy claims were found to not be not in his purview. Does that make sense to anyone? It shouldn’t.

This is a total cluster. Mueller was clearly, as I speculated last night, a figurehead. He doesn’t even know what’s in his own report, as streiff pointed out earlier in a piece. This guy is absolutely clueless and that led to rabid partisans like Andrew Weissmann running wild, making baseless accusations and insinuations against DOJ policy. Much of the report doesn’t even appear to have been approved by Mueller outside of rubber stamping.

Even though a few Republicans are still desperately trying to hold onto the idea that Mueller was honorable, I see no evidence of that. I see an old man who did a terrible job, not even investigating key tenants of the issue, while allowing what amounted to a partisan witch hunt to occur. I say that not to echo Donald Trump, but to echo the reality that Mueller inexplicably only focused on Trump associates when figures like Glenn Simpson and Michael Steele were major factors in the entire ordeal.

Today, Mueller’s investigation was exposed for exactly what it is and that’s a good thing.

We Need to Iron Out the Relationship Between Conservatives and the Transgender Community

Westlake Legal Group Capture-8-620x367 We Need to Iron Out the Relationship Between Conservatives and the Transgender Community transgender Steve Deace right wing republicans Politics LGBT homosexuality Front Page Stories Featured Story Culture & Faith Culture Conservatives Conservatism Allow Media Exception

The transgender community and many on the right often have a relationship that I can describe as vehemently oppositional if I’m putting it lightly. The two have never mixed well for various reasons. If you were to look back over my own writing history, you would see that I’m generally on the front lines when it comes to battling transgender activism.

Except for yesterday.

Yesterday, I was covering the case of trans activist Jessica Yaniv through several articles. To refresh or catch you up, Yaniv is a man identifying as a woman who uses his status as a protected class in Canada to file lawsuits against innocent women for not touching his junk during waxings.

(Read: “The West Is On The Cusp Of Seeing State-Sanctioned Sexual Assaults Thanks To Transgender Activism“)

Looking into Yaniv’s past also shows predatory and pedophilic behavior. Some of the things this guy has allegedly said in text messages are disturbing. This has caught the eye of many a commentator, including trans activist Blaire White, who falls to the right politically despite being transgender.

White, a biological man who has had chemical and surgical procedures to look and sound just like a woman, released a video discussing Yaniv and just how messed up of a person he is. White made many a good point, and I decided to cover the video, highlighting the things White pointed out. I found it an interesting take given the fact that White is trans and has insight most of us don’t.

(Read: “Video: Conservative Trans Woman Blaire White Makes Very Interesting Points About “Trans” Activist Jessica Yaniv“)

And then all hell broke loose.

Many conservatives didn’t like the fact that I was referring to White as a woman and that I was caving to some sort of politically correct feel-goodery. They also didn’t like that I was referring to her as a conservative. In fact, my article got the attention of Right Scoop and The Blaze’s Steve Deace, who proceeded to send out multiple tweets about the way I described White.

I’ve got some things to say about this.

Deace’s tweets come off as unnecessary gatekeeping, and I disagree with him vehemently. I’ll toss out the fact that conservatives “lose to the Left every time on every front” because looking around, I’m not seeing that at all. We lose a few battles here and there, but the right has never been more strong than it is now. Even with our disadvantages in tech and the arts, conservatism has never been more understood or accepted, at least in my lifetime. I’m not sure where he got that.

My problem is that Deace decided that White doesn’t qualify as a conservative because White is transgendered, and apparently, inviting someone like White into the fold will collapse conservatism. I find this a bit odd seeing as how LGBT members have been a part of the Conservative movement for some time now, and we’ve yet to devolve into gross displays of homo-eroticism at our events or make homosexuality a central issue. We haven’t seen any attempts at a conservative drag queen story hour either. In fact, many of the LGBT members within the movement are highly respected individuals who contribute quite a bit to the cause.

Deace and other conservatives not accepting White as a conservative because of the transgender factor doesn’t make White any less of a conservative.

From what I understand, conservatism is about the keeping of ideas behind the founding of America. That all men were created equal, and we all respect the right to and pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness. It was my understanding that conservatives held the position that any person could come here and live freely however they want to so long as they don’t force their fellow countrymen to obey their whims and wishes.

From what I’ve seen so far, White keeps to these ideals but can’t join our club because of the trans factor? Why? The whole reason the trans community and conservatives are constantly at odds is due to the fact that they continuously try to force their beliefs on us.

White has made it clear in videos that biological sex is a reality and criticized those who react overtly to being “misgendered.” White, unlike many trans activists I’ve spoken about in the past, doesn’t attempt to force anything on anyone and can shrug off disagreement with a live and let live attitude.

To me, that seems far more conservative than what I’ve seen from the gatekeepers trying to keep White out. I’m not seeing any loss of soul for recognizing and respecting that.

Then there’s the main issue, and this part’s a personal opinion of mine.

I have no problem acknowledging that a transgender person is biologically the sex they were born as while showing that person personal respect by calling them the gender they want if I feel they deserve it. White, in my opinion, is someone that I haven’t had a reason to dislike, and in fact, have generated respect for. Because of this, I have no problem referring to White as female despite the fact that “she” is biologically a he. We might not agree on everything, but oh well.

You’ll notice in my article about White’s video that I refer to White as a “she” but to Yaniv as a “he.” This is because Yaniv hasn’t earned my respect and I have no compunction to label him as the gender he says he is. My default position is that you’re the sex you were born as, but I’m not bothered by calling you something different if that’s what you prefer and your character makes me want to treat you that way.

My approach to transgenderism is realistic but fair as I describe in this video.

As a Christian libertarian-minded individual I disagree with the LGBT community about what it considers good, but I’m not his or her boss. People are going to make decisions about their life and all I can do is offer my advice and care. What they do with it is their decision.

I have no problem chatting about my stances and how my Christian beliefs play a part in various lifestyles, but at the end of the day, I gain nothing by turning my nose up at people. I was, after all, called to love, not to dictate.

The LGBT community runs afoul of me when they try to force Christian churches to marry them or Christian businesses to cater to their LGBT specific needs. Thing is, while the right was founded on Judeo-Christian principles, it is not a Christians only club. It’s also not a straights only club. It’s the “big tent.” Everyone is welcome so long as you don’t deviate from the principles of liberty we hold dear.

It’s not my job to tell others what they can and can’t believe, only what they can and can’t do and only when what they’re doing twists my arm or takes money out of my wallet without asking.

White and other trans individuals who believe and follow conservative principles are conservatives. You can disagree with that fact, but just like biological sex, denying doesn’t make it any less of a reality.

Robert Mueller Pretends To Be Sergeant Schultz During His Hearing Appearance

One of the running gags in the television series “Hogan’s Heroes” was that of John Banner’s character, Sergeant Schultz. Schultz was the senior German noncommissioned officer at Luft Stalag 13, a prisoner-of-war camp housing captured Allied airmen. Schultz is a deeply compromised and unintelligent character who often sees illegal goings on and responds with his signature:

Apparently, Robert Mueller is doing a damned good impression of Sergeant Schultz in his opening statement and his testimony.

The picture being painted is damning. It is very obvious that Mueller was simply not mentally up to the challenge of managing this investigation. He simply loaned his name to an investigation led by Andrew Weissmann and his chief of staff, Aaron Zebley. I appears as though not only were the mechanics of the investigation left to subordinates, the correspondence from his office, over his signature, was also left to them. If Mueller was not derelict, then he’s a notorious liar because otherwise he’d know what Fusion GPS is. If is a tired, feeble old man who would an object of pity, not scorn, had he not done the damage he has to America’s political life.

All in all, it is difficult to see how this bit of theater enhances our knowledge of anything other than confirming that it was simply an exercise to collect scalps from the Trump campaign and use that evidence as a basis for impeachment.
