University Recommends Avoiding Words Like “America”

Colorado State University has an “Inclusive Communications Task Force,” and they have put together an Inclusive Language Guide to avoid hurt feelings on campus. Not only does it police language by telling readers what words and phrases to avoid, it suggests replacements so that “communicators practice inclusive language and [help] everyone on [its] campus feel welcomed, respected, and valued.”

Campus Reform reports:

CSU lists both “American” and “America” as non-inclusive words “to avoid,” due to the fact that America encompasses more than just the U.S. By referring to the U.S. as America, the guide claims that one “erases other cultures and depicts the United States as the dominant American country.” The school suggests using “U.S. citizen” or “person from the U.S.” as substitutes.

The university additionally lists many gendered words and phrases to avoid. These include “male,” “female,” “ladies and gentlemen,” and “Mr./Mrs./Ms.”

“Male and female refers to biological sex and not gender,” says the guide. “In terms of communication methods (articles, social media, etc.), we very rarely need to identify or know a person’s biological sex and more often are referring to gender.”

“Straight” is another word to avoid, according to CSU. The guide explained that “when used to describe heterosexuals, the term straight implies that anyone LGBT is ‘crooked’ or not normal,” and says to use the word “heterosexual” instead.

I agree with this next one, but because it’s grammatically incorrect, not because of their nonsense.

According to the list, the phrase “handicap parking” should also not be used because it can “minimize personhood” and offend disabled people. The guide recommends “accessible parking” as an alternative.

Now, take a look at these:

“War,” “cake walk,” “eenie meenie miney moe,” “Eskimo,” “freshman,” “hip hip hooray!”, “hold down the fort,” “starving,” and “policeman” were among other words and phrases deemed non-inclusive by CSU.

I can only understand the problem with “eskimo” (the proper term is “Inuit”) and “policeman” (it should be the gender-neutral “law enforcement officer” or “police officer,” I guess). I suppose “starving” is offensive in its hyperbole. But why is “eenie meenie miney moe” problematic? Or the word “war” in and of itself?

Nicole Neily, president of Speech First, told Campus Reform that “even though these guidelines are suggested and not mandatory, they place students in the uncomfortable position of reciting politically correct talking points that they may not agree with. Words like ‘American,’ ‘male,’ and ‘female’ are used every day by billions of people around the world. When these students graduate, they’re in for a rude awakening!”

But don’t worry. It notes that “language is always evolving so this document will be updated periodically.” One hopes that they will decide in future iterations that these words are no longer offensive, but I don’t hold out much hope.

It costs around $10,000- $30,000 per year to attend Colorado State (depending on whether or not you’re an in-state student). How much of that tuition money goes towards paying people to suggest limitations on your rights like they do on this task force?

Elizabeth Warren is in full campaign mode and when you are a Senator, that means ridiculous grand-standing in public hearings that accomplish absolutely nothing. The point isn’t to make sense though, it’s just to get on TV yelling at someone so people can say “see how tough she is?!”

Yesterday, Mark Espers was being questioned as the nominee for Secretary of Defense and Warren thought it’d be a good idea to tacitly attack his loyalty to his country. This was part of her demanding a silly commitment that he wouldn’t do contract work for at least four years after leaving government, as if that’d suddenly garner her vote to confirm. We all know she’s not voting for him.

Keep in mind, Espers is a graduate of West Point and a combat veteran. So yeah, that went about as well as you’d expect.

Espers just lays into her and it’s pretty great. If you watch until the end, Warren has a meltdown at the fact that Espers refused to be boxed in by her. She even complains that he used up her time even though she’s the one who spent most of the video railing at him in nonsensical fashion instead of just asking him a question like she’s supposed to.

On substance, it is idiotic to demand a government official not work outside of government in their field for four years after leaving a government post. People have a right to make a living in whatever way they choose. Elizabeth Warren is not the arbiter of what’s right and just in that respect.

But this is a campaign issue for her, as if being a permanent government hanger-on is somehow morally superior to someone who serves their country and then goes into the private sector. It’s a garbage contention and unfairly maligns a man like Espers, who’s done nothing but serve his country with honor most of his adult life. Meanwhile, Warren’s service to the nation boils down to getting elected in a deeply blue state and having an annoying voice.

And no, that’s not Jim or I being sexist. Kamala Harris doesn’t have this problem. Neither does Tulsi Gabbard. Warren just so happens to be Hillary Clinton but more shrill and tortured as a public speaker.

But I do have to give her credit. She’s managed to climb into 2nd place and may overtake Biden eventually. If she does, more power to her. We’ll see how all this stuff works out in a general election.

(AP Photo/J. Scott Applewhite)

In the aftermath of controversial tweets posted on Sunday by President Trump about Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s so-called “Squad” Reps. Ayanna Pressley, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib, the self-appointed spokeswoman for the group was asked about Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s refusal to label Trump a “racist.”

The Hill reports:

“They have targeted four congresswomen of color who are American citizens with a classic line of white supremacy,” she continued. “And they are trying to pivot, and they are trying to excuse it, and frankly the majority leader is complicit in advancing racism in America if he doesn’t even have the backbone to speak out against most basic, basic line.”

Watch video of her remarks below:

In case you missed it, here’s a partial transcript of how McConnell responded Tuesday when asked if Sunday’s tweets made Trump a “racist”:

We’ve seen the far-left throw accusations of racism at everyone, anyone who disagrees with them on anything including the Speaker of the House. We’ve seen a freshman Democratic Congresswoman use anti-Semitic (INAUDIBLE) and imply people only support Israel because of campaign contributions. The most vile accusations and insults against our nation have become incredibly routine, and we’ve seen back-and-forth over the past few days.

Read the full transcript here.

McConnell was wise to mention Ocasio-Cortez’s ridiculous insinuation last week that her own House Speaker was racist in the context of the overall discussion about Trump’s tweets and the Queenie Quartet’s infighting with Pelosi and the Congressional Black Caucus in general. It puts into perspective just how out of hand the phony race-card playing has gotten in recent months.

But what’s even more important to point about about AOC in this battle over Trump’s tweets is that she doesn’t hold herself to her own standards, and no one in the media will call her out on it.

Red State‘s Brandon Morse wrote about this earlier this week after Ocasio-Cortez refused to condemn the firebomb attack on the Washington state ICE facility.

But as you’ll see below, Ocasio-Cortez’s double standards on calling out colleagues for making offensive statements actually goes back much further than just this week.

On Monday, AOC posted a tweet that closely mirrored what she told ABC News on Tuesday – except in this one she accused the entire GOP of being complicit in racism:

Yours truly pointed out that by her own standards, she condoned the routine anti-Semitism of her “Squad” colleagues Tlaib and Omar:

Not only has Ocasio-Cortez not condemned Omar’s and Tlaib’s anti-Semitism, she’s actually made excuses for it. In fact, she and “the Squad” played a big role in getting House leaders to back off of mentioning Omar by name in the House resolution from March that broadly condemned “all hate” (rather than anti-Semitism exclusively).

So by her own duplicitous standards, Squad Commander AOC is guilting of condoning and advancing anti-Semitism.

Your rules, honey. Your rules.

As We Prepare To Send A Woman To The Moon, New York Times Encourages Women To Be Angry At NASA’s Apollo Program Because It Was ‘Built Around Male Bodies’

Hey ladies, here’s another thing you can be angry about if you need to increase the misery in your daily life: according to the venerated New York Times, NASA’s Apollo Program that landed the first men on the moon was designed by men, for men and is ripe to be hated for its gender bias. If that isn’t enough to awaken your inner feminist, despite the fact that we’ve moved beyond that in the 60 years since and seen many women astronauts and engineers in the space program, and, in fact, are set to send the first woman to the moon by 2024 in the Artemis Program (Artemis is a Greek goddess, by the way), you should still be really angry because men went to the moon first and the spacesuits don’t fit women.

Or something. I don’t really get it.

If we do not acknowledge the gender bias of the early space program, it becomes difficult to move past it.

What are the lessons to be learned from NASA’s failure to fly women during the Apollo era?

The most recent lesson emerged in April, when NASA had scheduled a spacewalk that was, quite by accident, staffed by two female astronauts. The agency had to restaff the spacewalk because it had only one spacesuit that was the correct size for both women.

This is not an indictment of NASA in 2019. But it does demonstrate a causal chain that begins with the Apollo program and leads through to present-day staffing choices.

The suits, known as extravehicular mobility units, were designed more than 40 years ago, based on the designs of the Apollo missions, at a time when all astronauts were men. Only four of the original 18 suits are still rated for spaceflight, and all of those are on the space station.

The Times piece then helpfully goes into a few paragraphs dissecting the budget restraints that kept smaller spacesuits from being made available and how one lady astronaut had to improvise with padding to make her suit fit during buoyancy tests due to her small stature.

I mean, call me crazy but this sounds like a call for funding rather than an opportunity for a social justice crusade. The Times also suggests that because the lady astronauts chose not to make a big deal of having to use their wit and brains to improvise so they could get on with being bada** astronauts, these spacesuit snafus were evidence of “gender bias [that] became a mistake that we did not learn from.”

I’d venture to say the ladies who faced the problem and overcame it learned a great deal, which makes them ideal astronauts. The Times feels the need, however, to inform them of their victimhood and speak when they can’t. (I have a hard time believing women who make it through the space program are too meek to speak, but whatever).

And it wouldn’t be the Times if they didn’t pick up on the newest, silliest feminist trope and turn it into a potential tragedy.

Inside the spacesuits, astronauts wear the liquid cooling and ventilation garment. This looks like long underwear covered with meters of tubes. It pumps water around the astronauts to cool them. Men and women wear the same style of garment despite the fact that we have different sweat patterns. Men sweat more than comparably fit women, and the areas where they sweat the mostoccur in different parts of the body. In other words, when it comes to temperature-controlling garments, the needs are different for men and women.

We are already aware of this in relation to office temperatures. Temperatures are set for men, which leaves women carrying sweaters to work.

Why the Times, and its woke readership, feels the need to turn basic logistical problems NASA encounters as it moves back toward space exploration into some kind of divisive proof of bias is baffling. It’s counterproductive and silly. Don’t believe me? Read the piece and try not to roll your eyes at the part where they describe the “thick wool slippers” on the feet of a female Space Shuttle crew member.

In fairness, they do cover the antiquated belief back when the space program began in the 60s that women weren’t up to the task of space flight. And it’s true women weren’t allowed into the military flight training programs that were the career pathway to space flight. But the truth is, women may not have been physically up to some of the physical demands of  space flight given the technology used at the time. That tiny little Apollo 11 return shuttle, for example, very likely asked a great deal of the human body and women, as the rest of the Times piece points out, are wired physically differently than men.

As we’ve refined technologically — and the differences in technology from the outset of the space program to the modern age of commercial space flight are vast — the brawn of the job has decreased in importance and the intellectual necessities (always there) have taken on more prominence.

And so, more women heading to space. As a women, I actually take that as something of a compliment, frankly.

House May Vote As Early As Today on Rep. Al Green’s Articles of Impeachment

Westlake Legal Group al-green-house-floor-SCREENSHOT-620x332 House May Vote As Early As Today on Rep. Al Green’s Articles of Impeachment Uncategorized Front Page Stories Featured Story

Rep. Al Green (D-TX) filed articles of impeachment against President Trump for his “racist” remarks against the “Squad” which he refers to as a “high misdemeanor.”

Asked by a reporter why he didn’t wait until after Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s testimony which is expected next week. Green replied, “The Mueller testimony has nothing to do with his bigotry. Nothing. Zero. Nada. We cannot wait. As we wait, we risk having the blood of somebody on our hands — and it could be a member of Congress.”

Like it or not, House leadership is required to act quickly on this resolution. According to the Washington Post:

Green’s move will force House Democrats to deal with the issue in the near term because of the privileged nature of the resolution. Under House rules, Democratic leadership can decide to try to table the impeachment articles, effectively killing them for now and risk criticism from the party’s liberal base; refer them to the House Judiciary Committee for possible consideration; or allow the vote to proceed.

If leaders do nothing, Green can force a vote on the impeachment articles in two legislative days.

The problem is that the caucus is already very divided on this issue and no matter which option House leadership takes, these divisions will grow wider.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi, mindful of the damage this will inflict on the Democratic Party, has worked to avoid this very situation.

The matter is likely to divide the caucus, which has grappled for months with the question of what to do about Trump. Even impeachment proponents seemed divided about whether it is wise to force the issue now. House Homeland Security Chairman Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) said he would support an immediate move to impeach the president, even voting against Democratic leaders should they try to refer the matter to committee to sideline the debate. …

Certain to be wary are moderates and lawmakers from districts that Trump won in 2016 who have long feared blowback for such a vote. Rep. Stephanie Murphy (Fla.), who leads the conservative Blue Dog Democrats, said, “I don’t think that we have completed the process or the investigations that we need to, to take that step at this time.” Rep. Jeff Van Drew (D-N.J.), a freshman from a swing district, said he would vote against the resolution.

“I don’t think we’re there yet. I don’t think it’s healthy,” he said of Green’s effort.

So, House leadership is faced with three bad choices. Each choice is certain to inflame one faction or another. A vote to move forward with impeachment will hurt newly elected members from districts where support for Trump is strong. If the vote fails, the progressive base will be incensed.

Pelosi would probably prefer the first option, that of tabling the resolution for now. Impeachment has been lurking in the shadows ever since the Democrats won the House majority anyway.

Hot Air’s Ed Morrissey suggests a more drastic approach:

The least-worst option from this smorgasbord of disaster for Pelosi might be to force an up-or-down vote on impeachment now. Rip the Band-Aid off quickly, let the bill die, and hope that there’s enough time ahead of the election to have this fade into distant memory. Trump would claim vindication from it, but that’s got a shelf life too. The closer this drags on to the election, the worse it gets for Pelosi.

At 10 am, NBC announced that the House will vote this afternoon between 4:30 and 5 pm on whether or not to immediately consider Green’s articles of impeachment.

Politico reports:

House leaders are likely to sideline Green’s measure with their own procedural vote: either moving to table his articles and delay them or to bottle them up in the Judiciary Committee. Green has said he’ll oppose either move, but a majority of Democrats are expected to side with leadership.

Democrats are warily watching to see if Republicans consider any procedural trickery. They worry that Republicans may join Green in opposing a delay and forcing the House to take an up-or-down vote on the articles of impeachment.

Fasten your seatbelts!

Majority of Mexicans Believe Illegal Immigrants Should Be Deported According to Recent Poll

Hundreds of Mexican federal officers carrying plastic shields had blocked the caravan from advancing toward the United States, after several thousand of the migrants turned down the chance to apply for refugee status and obtain a Mexican offer of benefits. (AP Photo/Rodrigo Abd)

The United States isn’t just having a migrant crisis. Mexico has a very serious problem with the number of people streaming through its country in order to try to get into the United States and frankly, they’re sick of it.

The latest poll by the Washington Post showed that six in ten Mexicans consider the migrants a burden on their country, and believes they are taking jobs that belong to them. What’s more, 55 percent believe that deporting migrants heading toward the United States is a good thing.

According to WaPo, the fact that Mexicans find themselves lining up more with Trump about immigration than originally perceived is surprising:

Those findings defy the perception that Mexico – a country that has sent millions of its own migrants to the United States, sending billions of dollars in remittances – is sympathetic to the surge of Central Americans. Instead, the data suggests Mexicans have turned against the migrants transiting through their own country, expressing antipathy that would be familiar to many supporters of President Donald Trump north of the border.

I don’t think I need to focus on the fact that Mexico is getting a taste of what it’s like to have a bunch of migrants come in and cause problems in your country. What’s more interesting is that WaPo is surprised by the fact that unchecked migration to the point of encouragement is causing more problems than they anticipated.

It’s also hilarious that in the face of these problems, WaPo is surprised that many people are beginning to understand what Trump has been talking about and are now more than ready to side with him against the issue.

The fun part will be watching how the left responds to this, if they choose to respond at all. It’s going to be difficult to pull the race card when speaking of the migrant crisis when the citizens of Mexico are also in line with deportation and border security. Racism is generally an accusation reserved for white people, but the left can’t call Mexicans racist. It would run contrary to their established narrative.

The undeniable fact is that a migrant crisis has nothing to do with race, and would be a problem no matter what color of skin a person has. Illegal immigration boils down to economic effects and crime, not what skin color a person has. Any accusation that concerns about illegal immigration is purely racial now has to answer to the fact that Mexicans are also on board with Trump’s policies.

CNN’s Brian Stelter Sees Epic Ratings Collapse Over the Past Six Months

Westlake Legal Group a2fe010c-d757-4860-9b67-f3b83bcaacb3-620x336 CNN’s Brian Stelter Sees Epic Ratings Collapse Over the Past Six Months Weebles viewership Tater Reliable Sources Ratings Collapse Politics media bias hack Front Page Stories Front Page fox news Featured Story dumpster fire CNN Brian Stelter

I knew CNN’s ratings were tanking, but my word at these latest numbers.

Brian Stelter, who fancies himself gatekeeper of the media sphere, spends his days obsessing over Fox News and ignoring all bad reporting and hackish behavior from his own network. He hosts a low-rated weekend show called “Reliable Sources,” where he claims to be an unbiased observer of media.

But when I say low-rated, even I was surprised at just how low. John Nolte compiled the two data points, but you can find the base numbers at the links below for verification.

Stelter, a left-wing conspiracy theorist who serves as a reactionary mouthpiece for his boss, Jeff Zucker, the far-left extremist responsible for running CNN into the ratings dirt, was at least able to average 967,000 viewers during the first four weeks of this year, from January 6 to January 27.

But during the four weeks that just passed —  from June 16 to July 7Reliable Sourceshas only been able to average 557,000 viewers.

That works out to be a whopping 42% drop in viewership in just six months. It’s hard to explain how just how awful that is. If CNN’s personalities were actually held to any real standards, Stelter would be staring at the unemployment line with a drop in audience like that.

But perhaps all cable news is doing badly and this is just a sign of a less engaged news media market over the past few months? Nah. For one, the news cycle is far more engaging right now than it was earlier in the year.

Secondly, here are Fox News’ numbers for their show “Media Buzz,” which is not only a time slot competitor to Reliable Sources, but also competes directly on content as a show reporting on the media.

During these last four weeks, between June 16 and July 7, MediaBuzz averaged more than twice as many viewers as Reliable Sources: 1.135 million compared to Stelter’s pathetic 557,000.

What’s more, during the first four weeks of the year, MediaBuzz averaged 1.372 million, which means MediaBuzz has only lost a negligible five percent of its viewers since the beginning of the year, which is a whole lot less than Stelter’s breathtaking 42 percent.

Just brutal for CNN and Stelter.

These people are only legends in their own mind. Their ratings continue to drop like a stone and they simply don’t have the influence they think they do. Imagining what their ratings would be without thousands of captive viewers within airports should be nightmarish for CNN’s top brass.

But they’ve decided it’s all about being anti-Trump at all times. So they’ll sit back and watch their ratings burn while hosting white nationalists to slap at Trump. There’s no integrity left at that dumpster fire of a network.

In this combination image from left; Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., July 10, 2019, Washington, Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., March 12, 2019, in Washington, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY., July 12, 2019, in Washington, and Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., July 10, 2019, in Washington. In tweets Sunday, President Donald Trump portrays the lawmakers as foreign-born troublemakers who should go back to their home countries. In fact, the lawmakers, except one, were born in the U.S. (AP Photo)

For the past month or so, a collection of anti-American–and in a couple of cases, virulently anti-Semitic and pro-terrorism–freshman members of Congress, who have styled themselves The Squad, have dominated Democrat politics. It is probably safe to say more media attention has been lavished upon them than on the Democrat presidential hopefuls. Sunday, President Trump criticized them in a series of tweets and the media leapt to their defense branding the tweets, President Trump, and everyone one the country who didn’t pee on themselves reading the tweets as racists. Since then, their whining about being victims is all the press has been interested in, other than calling the GOP racists, but the latter happens every day and so no one thinks much about it.

Last night, Tucker Carlson had Louisiana Senator John Kennedy as a guest and he gave the best description of The Squad that I’ve seen to date.

I hesitate to contribute to this freak show but I’ll give you my thoughts for what they’re worth. I don’t think President Trump is a racist.

I don’t think his original tweet was racist. I think it was a poor choice of words, which is why he clarified. What he’s said now, in clarification, this is not China, this is America. In America, if you hate our country you’re free to leave. Now he said that in response to the behavior of the four congresswomen you’re talking about, the so-called Squad.

I’m not sure the president should exchange playground insults with them. When you try to argue with a fool, that proves there are two. But the president decided to do so. The simple fact of the matter is that the four congresswomen think that America was wicked in its origins. They think America and its people are even more wicked now. That we are all racist and misogynistic and evil.

They are entitled to their opinion. They are Americans. But I’m entitled to my opinion, and I just think they are left-wing cranks and they are the reason that there are directions on a shampoo bottle. I think we should ignore them.”

I mostly agree with that. You don’t have to listen to any of this group talk very long to realize they are simply mouthing vapid anti-American shibboleths that signal to fellow members of the anti-American left that they are with them. They can do this because they come from districts where the number of GOP voters is de minimus and if you can get a fired-up group of supporters out to the polls in a low turnout primary, you will win the general election for want of opposition. What I don’t agree with is that we can afford to ignore them. The media has shown a total lack of curiosity about the obvious fundraising shenanigans involving AOC and her fascist-loving chief of staff Saikat Chakrabati–and by shenanigans, I mean federal felonies. They aren’t curious at all about Ilhan Oman marrying her own brother…or her obvious support of Islamic terrorism. In fact, the press has normalized their radicalism and has gone along with classifying any critique of their positions or opinions as racism or some other -ism or -phobia.

We need to elevate them. We need to make every utterance by these people the subject of discussion. We need to get Democrats at all levels, from dog catcher to presidential candidates, on the record defending their nonsense.

The fact that they can’t correctly use shampoo doesn’t mean they aren’t dangerous. In fact, it means just the opposite.

When it comes to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and her so-called freshman “Squad” Reps. Ayanna Pressley (MA), Ilhan Omar (MN), and Rashida Tlaib (MI), Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) has made it clear she is unafraid to push back on both their false narratives and their dangerous policy proposals.

Such was the case on Tuesday, when Cheney listed out all the reasons why Republicans oppose “The Squad”, noting that it had nothing to do with their race, gender, or religion, contra to media reports that stated otherwise in the aftermath of the controversial tweets President Trump posted Sunday about them.

Real Clear Politics has the transcript:

I want to make absolutely clear that our opposition to our socialist colleagues has absolutely nothing to do with their gender, with their religion, or with their race. It has to do with the content of their policies. They’re wrong when they attempt to impose the fraud of socialism on the American people. They’re wrong when they pursue policies that would steal power from the American people and give that power to the government. They’re wrong when they espouse and enable, and their leadership refuses to condemn, vile anti-Semitism. They’re wrong when they rush to blame America first, when they fail to recognize that this is the greatest nation that has ever existed, the exceptional nation. And they’re wrong when they fail to recognize that no people has ever lived in greater freedom, and then they go on and fail to provide the resources our men and women in uniform need to defend that freedom.

Our colleagues, our socialist colleagues on the other side of the aisle, are wrong when they advocate abortion up until the moment of birth, including partial-term abortion, partial-birth abortion, late-term abortion, and when they refuse to mandate care for babies who are born alive. Our colleagues are wrong when they say that we should open America’s borders, abolish ICE, and abolish DHS. They’re wrong when they advocate policies that would eliminate all private health insurance in this country, destroy Medicare, and force the American people to pay for free healthcare for illegal immigrants. They are wrong when they pursue policies like the one we’re going to be voting on today that will destroy four million jobs for low-wage earners by mandating a federal $15 minimum wage. That is not compassion. That is callousness that’s born of ignorance. They’re wrong when they say that their programs help people at the lower end of the economic spectrum. Every one of their socialist programs would create massive new government dependency and end the very economic growth we need to ensure everyone can prosper.

Cheney also took off after Pressley in particular, who over the weekend at the Netroots Nation conference essentially accused rogue (read: contrarian) Hispanics, black people, and LGBTQ community members of being traitors to the liberal cause. Here’s what Cheney said about Pressley’s rant:

Our colleagues are wrong when they advocate packing the Supreme Court and abolishing the Electoral College. And our colleagues are wrong when they tell Americans, as Congresswoman Pressley did just last week, that any individual seat at the table is only valuable, only legitimate if that person espouses some pre-approved set of beliefs deemed appropriate based on their religion, or their gender, or their race. When they say that, that is racist.

Watch video of Cheney’s remarks below:

Cheney’s comments were on point, and come at a crucial time when Republicans need to seize back control of the national narrative, rather than being on defense. It shouldn’t be too difficult to do, considering The Squad continue to be their own worst enemies.

The Dead Tacoma Antifa Used AOC’s Motive and Ayanna Pressley’s Method In His Fatal Attack

Last weekend, an Antifa goober tried to firebomb the ICE detention facility in Tacoma, WA. As was to be expected, his technical skills were not up to the task, but the Tacoma police gave him what he so richly deserved. He left behind a “manifesto” that was the gibbering anarchist nonsense that you’d expect but, the more we look at it, the more it becomes obvious that the rhetoric of The Squad, that august brain trust consisting of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, Ilnan “no I really didn’t have sex with my brother” Omar, and Ayanna Pressley, heavily influenced his thinking, such as it was, and his actions.

He relies on AOC’s “concentration camp” rhetoric and his method of attack seems to have been derived from another.

For someone who has twisted her panties in a tight little knot over a tweet by President Trump, Pressley seems to be fairly cavalier about inciting arson attacks or, taken at its most benign, mob violence against federal detention facilities. The left has a sordid history of inciting fatal attacks by using rhetoric that clearly calls for violence but which can be massaged by a willing press into mere hyperbole that some nutter misunderstood. It was the left that encouraged a nutter to try to shoot up the Family Research Council. It was the left that encouraged a nutter to shoot up a GOP congressional baseball team. It was the left that encouraged a nutter to try to burn an ICE facility. It is the left that is encouraging the violent street mobs of Antifa.

It is getting harder and harder to believe that these incitements are accidental and not part of a desire, if not a design, to ratchet up political violence in the country. Too what end, we don’t know. But it is certain that we will find out in the coming years.
