In Order to Save the Planet, President Jair Bolsonaro Asks Brazilians to Hold in Every Bowel Movement for Two Days

In 1933, Franklin D. Roosevelt told America, “All we have to fear is fear itself.”

JFK advised, “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.”

Bill Clinton’s message to the nation: “It depends on what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is.”

And let’s not forget this zinger, courtesy of the man to whom Hillary Clinton chooses to give all her soft, supple lovin’:

“All Americans…are rightly disturbed by the large numbers illegal aliens entering our country. That’s why our administration has moved aggressively…by deporting twice as many criminal aliens as ever before. … [W]e will try to do more to speed the deportation of illegal aliens…”

If you could speak to all your fellow countrymen and deliver just one message, what would it be?

For Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, perhaps she’d plead with all the cows — “Please, for the love of Pete, please, please just stop farting.”

The leader of Brazil recently took a similar approach: He beseeched the citizenry to keep from dropping their patriotic pants. If they wanna do their duty, they can’t do their doodie.

Seriously, just (don’t) doo it.

A reporter recently asked President Jair Bolsonaro how to balance protecting the earth with developing necessary agriculture.

Jair offered two pieces of advice: Eat a little bit less; and don’t poop every day.

Tighten up; it’ll still be there tomorrow.

The journalist’s question came in response to a recent report that Brazil’s Amazonian deforestation — along with its agricultural processes — is responsible for a quarter of the planet’s greenhouse effect.

Now Jair’s fired the head of that reporting agency. And he wants Brazilians to keep from firing a missile:

“It’s enough to eat a little less. You talk about environmental pollution. It’s enough to poop every other day. That will be better for the whole world.”

Please, people: Keep your killer turds from attacking Earth.

Karen Townsend of Hot Air had a bit to report on the directive. Here she is:

I can understand the “eat a little less” part of Bolsonaro’s off-the-cuff solutions if the intention is to utilize less land for agricultural purposes. It’s the suggestion that Brazilians poop “every other day” that puzzles me. Is it to limit the use of toilet paper, thus lessening the need for wood by-products? Is it like the environmental wackos who encourage limiting toilet paper use to a square or two? Eating less would decrease the need to poop but I’m not falling for that line of thinking.

Individual pooping habits vary. Some people may do it three times a day, some may do it every other day, but dictating personal bathroom habits isn’t the job of a nation’s leader. I can’t believe I looked up some information on this but I did. My first reaction that this suggestion can’t be a healthy one may be correct.

A 2010 study published in the Scandinavian Journal of Gastroenterology found that 98 percent of its participants pooped between 3 times per week to 3 times daily.

Deviating significantly from the regular pattern may still be considered healthy, but it can also indicate the development of a stomach or bowel problem.

Right. I don’t mean to encourage anyone to absolutely blow up the planet like the Death Star of Dumpin’…and I don’t mean to sound as if I hate my country…but holding ’til Tuesday what you need to do on Monday ain’t a good idea. When it comes to crapping, as Dinah Washington sang, “What a difference a day makes.”

With all due respect to the uptight, anal environmentalists of the world, anyone who thinks people should resist the urge to empty their bowels for the betterment of humanity…is full of it.

Unless you’re this guy.

The world of celebrity tweeting, in my opinion, doesn’t offer a lot in the way of wit and wisdom. For the most part, they’re singers and actors — not writers.

But one famous face consistently fires ’em off on social media, and that pithy pistolier is Pat Sajak.

On Friday, the Wheel of Fortune host reminded us that celebs know best. He also offered a bit of the hard knocks — we may have to use our own brains:

“As you probably know, we celebrities are uniquely qualified to tell you how to live and what to think, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m working hard, and I expect to have my list of rules available in a week or so. Meantime, just do your best on your own.”

Tough, but most likely good advice.

Pat dished similarly wry words of wisdom in the aftermath of 2017’s Las Vegas massacre, during which anti-gun rhetoric was shootin’ off Tinseltown like the bulleted battles constantly featured in their furiously-firing films:

Want more from Pat? The Daily Wire’s compiled some of the most notable indications that the witty TV man’s got his feet on the ground. And his fingers on the pulse of America.

Welcome to “Sunday Sunshine,” a new weekly column I’ve started to highlight some of the good news out there. It can be all too easy to get dragged down by negativity, especially in the divisive atmosphere of our 24-7 news cycle, so it’s a good idea to remember that most people aren’t like the trolls you find on Twitter. In fact, most people are generally good people, and they’re doing some very good things. Sunday Sunshine will seek to highlight that, plus of course some cute animal videos and random silly things I find, because isn’t that why we have the internet?

If you have ideas for upcoming Sunday Sunshine articles, please reach out to me on Facebook or Twitter. Enjoy!

Jackson Proskow, the Washington Bureau Chief for the Canadian Global News, witnessed a moving scene on a recent flight from Dallas to Washington, D.C. The plane was carrying the remains of an American pilot, Col. Roy Knight Jr., whose plane had been shot down during the Vietnam War in 1967. Knight’s remains had recently been recovered and were being returned home to his family, with a very special pilot for that flight: Knight’s own son, who had watched his father depart for the war and had grown up to be a pilot himself.

Read Proskow’s full story here.

The promised cute animal content: Check out this video of a baby duck being reunited with his siblings after successfully being rescued and rehabbed. According to the original post on Reddit, he noticed the little duck was having increasing trouble walking, eventually becoming immobile. He took the duck to a wildlife rehabber who diagnosed him with botulism poisoning and nursed him back to health.

After the duck recovered, the rescuer brought him back to his family, and “As you can see, all the feels ensued.”

Here’s a story I covered last week, in case you missed it. After Shoshana Ovitz was freed from the Auschwitz concentration camp at the end of World War II, she married and had four children. She just celebrated her 104th birthday in Israel, surrounded by about four hundred of her descendants. The photos from her family gathering at the Western Wall are a powerful testament to the power of faith and family to triumph over evil.

And something completely silly: for my fellow Gen-Xers and everyone who loves LEGOs, you can now build your very own Central Perk out of LEGOs, including Monica, Ross, Rachel, Chandler, Joey, Phoebe, and even Gunther:

Finally, if you’re not already following Rodney Smith, Jr. (@iamrodneysmith) on Twitter, you need to do so. The RedState Box Office Report – Looking for the Price in the Crowd

Westlake Legal Group dora-and-the-lost-city-of-gold-paramount-620x272 The RedState Box Office Report – Looking for the Price in the Crowd Hollywood Front Page Stories Front Page Featured Story Featured Post Entertainment box office report Allow Media Exception

It was a competitive weekend with many new releases battling the strong holdovers.

As summer is about to wind down studios are hoping to get some last moment releases out to get some business before schools open and the box office takes its usual late August-September downturn. This made for a busy slate of new releases doing battle with the strong established titles, and plenty of questions coming into the weekend.

Part of the question was that some of the new films were original concepts based on established properties from other media, and the carry-over of those audiences was not assured. It led to plenty of speculation and a surprise in the end, which was a reasonable reaction; the top four films are separated by only $8 million. So here is what the kids were interested in before heading back to classes.

HOBBS & SHAW – $25.4 Million
Last week’s physics-defying champ (which we covered on our filmcast this week) did about as well as expected, but it was no assured as things opened. On Friday it was actually the #2 earner and looked like it may be toppled, but a decent Saturday showed recovery and provided a decent weekend overall. This comes in as a drop of about -58%, slightly better than anticipated with it strong open last week. The high-octane duo of The Rock and Jason Statham have already pulled in $100 million by now. This return means that for 16 consecutive weeks the #1 film has been based on an established intellectual property.

2. SCARY STORIES TO TELL IN THE DARK – $20.8m
This is a surprising return as the teen horror tale based on the book series from the 1990s was expected to be an also-ran in this weekend’s mix. On Friday it was the top earner and it played stronger than expected, beating most estimates by about 25%. The surprising aspect is that this is one of the last titles to be released by CBS Films (it is being dissolved in a merger) so you wonder if better marketing could have brought in an even better result.

3. THE LION KING – $20.0m
One month out and the pride from Disney is still making an impact. It is well on it way to making $500 million domestically (the second-highest earner for the year as swell), and well over $1 billion worldwide already.

4. DORA AND THE LOST CITY OF GOLD – $17.1m
As much of a surprise as “Scary Stories” was this one saw a bit of an equal amount of disappointment. The very famous “Dora The Explorer” kids program was adapted with an older Dora and there was a mystery as to how well it would be received. Making this surprising is that leading up to the weekend indicators were healthy, with decent social media presence, and critics actually favoring the film, at a 75% rate on Rotten Tomatoes. Those who went out liked the film, with a CinemaScore of “A”, so there is a chance at some longer term interest. It will maybe need a large boost in the home market to see if this becomes a franchise for Paramount.

5. ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD – $11.6m
A true smash for Quentin Tarantino this will easily move past his “Inglorious Basterds” to become his second-highest grossing film. Time is needed to tell if it has a chance of reaching “Django Unchained”. Here is the most notable piece of trivia: This weekend sees the film crossing over the $100 million mark, and that means it becomes the ONLY film in the entire summer based on an original concept to reach that plateau.

6. THE ART OF RACING IN THE RAIN – $8.1m
A respectable film by many measures it had a number of challenges facing it, the crowded marketplace being one. This was a product of the Fox 2000 division, which is closing down amid the Disney/Fox merger. This meant the marketing was possibly not as enthusiastic. Critics did the film no favors, with just under a 50% approval on RT. Audiences who did go scored it with a decent “A-”, so you get the sense the studio could have targeted the film a little better. It also was the third dog-based drama this year, so interest was a bit sapped.

7. THE KITCHEN – $5.51m
A female heist drama that has a number of names attached but little in the way of sustaining any interest. Part of the issue? Having two comedic actresses – Melissa McCarthy, and Tiffany Haddish – taking on dramatic roles proved to repel audiences. This is the lowest debut for both actresses. This total is almost half as much as McCarthy’s fiasco from last summer, “The Happytime Murders”

8. SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME – $5.3m
A genuine smash hit for Sony, it has passed “Aladdin” for the fifth-best return of the summer. After six weeks it is still managing to play on over 2,600 screens.

9. TOY STORY 4 – $4.4m
Recall back when it debuted and some felt it was a bit of a disappointing opening because it was not setting records? Two months later it still lands in the top-ten, and has just become the highest-grossing title in the franchise. This also places it as the third-highest in the Pixar library (sixth-best when adjusted for inflation).

10. THE FAREWELL – $2.29m
The Chinese drama has been an arthouse hit. The studio A24 expanded it once again, adding almost 300 more screens (700 in total now) in a move that few anticipated. It has managed to take in $10 million on the meager release platform, a deeply impressive return for this micro-import.

Actor Richard Gere Scolds Italy Over Stranded Migrant Ship, Interior Minister Claps Back

Westlake Legal Group italy-libya-map-620x347 Actor Richard Gere Scolds Italy Over Stranded Migrant Ship, Interior Minister Claps Back Salvini Richard Gere migrant ship Italy immigration Hypocrisy Hollywood Front Page Stories Featured Story

Recently the Italian government caused an international controversy when they turned away a ship carrying 121 African migrants. Italy’s Interior Minister Matteo Salvini denied permission for the ship to dock in in the port of Lampedusa. Italy, like many other European nations (and our own), has been struggling with the strain of accepting poor migrants as they deal with their own spending and welfare issues.

The unemployment rate in Italy has been slowly dropping over the last five years but still hovers around ten percent, causing tension between typically drastically underpaid migrant workers and unemployed Italian natives. Salvini has been controversial but celebrated as a “hardliner” when it comes to migrant/immigration issues.

Enter Hollywood.

Actor Richard Gere flew to be with the migrants – now being housed on the Spanish charity ship Open Arms until they find a way to dock – and show his support. He asked the Italian government to stop “demonizing people” and compared the situation to the immigration battle here in America.

Gere, who visited the Open Arms ship in a show of support on Friday, joined a news conference on the Italian island of Lampedusa to call for the 160 migrants stuck on the boat to be allowed to disembark.

He compared the political situation in Italy, where League leader and Interior Minister Matteo Salvini has repeatedly refused requests by migrant ships to dock, to that of the U.S. administration of Donald Trump.

“We have our problems with refugees coming from Honduras, Salavador, Nicaragua, Mexico… It’s very similar to what you are going through here,” he said, accusing politicians in both Italy and the United States of demonising migrants.

“This has to stop everywhere on this planet now. And it will stop if we say stop,” he said, adding that he only wanted to help people and not get into a political fight.

Salvini wasted no time in pointing out Gere’s hypocrisy.

“Given this generous millionaire is voicing concern for the fate of the Open Arms migrants, we thank him: he can take back to Hollywood, on his private plane, all the people aboard and support them in his villas. Thank you Richard!”

More and more European nations are becoming averse to accepting new immigrants.

Standoffs with non-governmental organisation boats have become common in the last year as European states at odds over who should be responsible for accepting migrants have refused port to vessels carrying rescued people, often leaving them stranded at sea for days awaiting a solution.

The Open Arms said it had rescued more people on Saturday.

The boat was at sea near Lampedusa with 121 people aboard from earlier rescues when, late on Friday evening, Maltese authorities asked it to assist 39 people in a wooden raft.

Malta had offered to accept the 39 people from this rescue but not the 121 already aboard, among them 32 minors, they added, saying the NGO had refused the offer.

“[Malta] has refused to disembark the other 121 people who have been aboard for 9 days. This has created a serious security problem aboard. Their levels of anxiety are unsustainable,” Open Arms founder Oscar Camps said on Twitter.

The boat has been in limbo since Malta and Italy rejected requests to disembark there. Spain’s Socialist government accepted the Acquarius NGO boat last year following a similar standoff but has since hardened its position, saying that the Open Arms should look for a closer port.

Representatives for Open Arms have indicated that if a medical emergency were to break out on the ship, they would be allowed to dock under international maritime law.

So far there is no word whether or not Richard Gere intends to invite any migrants to work for him or to stay in his homes.

During a campaign speech in Iowa Thursday, Joe Biden managed to push this over his bottom teeth:

“Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.”

Let’s do that again:

“Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.”

Take your time…

What’s weirder, people started to clap.

Then he added:

“Wealthy kids, black kids, Asian kids. No, I really mean it. But think how we think about it.”

Huh?

As for the first part, what would the media have made of such a comment by Donald Trump?

Brett Kavanaugh?

George Bush?

Voldemort?– I’m just assuming he’s supposed to be a Republican.

As the President left for a fundraiser Friday, he recounted to White House reporters his reaction to Biden’s goof:

“He made that comment, I said, ‘Whoa.’”

Furthermore:

“This is not somebody you can have as your president. But if he got the nomination, I’d be thrilled.”

Classic Trump.

But not as much as this:

“Joe is not playing with a full deck.”

At least one member of the media tried to run cover for the former VP.

As reported by the Washington Free Beacon, NBC’s Andrea Mitchell falsely charged the Trump campaign with cropping footage of Joe’s speech in order to unfairly give the appearance of a gooberish gaffe:

“Joe Biden, after a widely praised speech against the President 24 hours ago, is now facing a Trump campaign counter-attack, seizing on a few words on the campaign trail. The former vice president accusing the President of being a racist who emboldens white supremacists by aligning himself with their cause, but it’s Biden’s bungling of his own remarks that’s making headlines this morning.”

She then played Joe’s statement, in context:

“We should challenge these students. We should challenge students in these schools that have advanced placement programs in these schools. We have this notion that somehow if you’re poor, you cannot do it. Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids. Wealthy kids. Black kids. Asian kids.”

Uhhh…it didn’t get better.

Oh, and also: The initial Trump clip actually included the full context.

Trump’s Rapid Response Director, Andrew Clark, laid it out:

Yep.

Joe seems poised for a whole lot more passes; I predicted as much. A Republican with his record might never had made it this far: After all, he’s already said he’ll “be damned” if he pays reparations. And he’s called gays “security risks.” Let Voldemort try that.

Last month, anti-Semitic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN) co-sponsored a resolution in the House to support the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement. BDS seeks to boycott Israel to protest what Palestinians perceive as the mistreatment of their people. She compared BDS to the previous boycotts of Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union.

When questioned about her position by Al-Monitor, Omar said, “We are introducing a resolution … to really speak about the American values that support and believe in our ability to exercise our First Amendment rights in regard to boycotting. And it is an opportunity for us to explain why it is we support a nonviolent movement, which is the BDS movement.”

When asked his opinion of Omar’s resolution, Rep. Brad Sherman (D-CA) said, “I can’t imagine that any committee is going to mark up or take seriously any pro-BDS resolution.”

“Am I worried about the overall BDS movement worldwide as an economic matter? No. As an effort to delegitimize Israel, of course. The comments here today are a tiny part of that delegitimizing effort.”

Recently, she and her great pal, Rep. Rashida Tlaib were two of seventeen members of Congress who voted against a House resolution to oppose the international effort to boycott Israel.

In the tweet below, the original definition stands next to the newly amended version. The difference is the addition of an 11th example of anti-Semitism, which is “Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis.” This is something that both Omar and Tlaib have done – very publicly.

Philanthropist Adam Milstein saluted the revision. He tweeted, “Kudos to @SecPompeo and Special Envoy Elan Carr. It’s more clear now, the BDS Movement is disgustingly Antisemitic.”

The American Center for Law and Justice, a constitutional law firm led by President’s Trump’s attorney, Jay Sekulow, initiated an online petition, “calling for Congress to censure Omar and Tlaib over rhetoric that the ACLJ describes as anti-Semitic.”

The petition, which can be accessed in the tweet below, states:

Rep. Omar said that support for Israel is ‘all about the Benjamins’ – a bigoted accusation that Jews control all the money. She’s attacked Jews and anyone who supports Israel as having a dual allegiance – another anti-Semitic trope.

Rep. Tlaib said she has a ‘calming feeling’ about the Holocaust. Someone espousing these bigoted views should not have access to classified information or sit on congressional committees such as the Foreign Affairs Committee.

Take action with us. Fight back against anti-Semitism. Demand Reps. Omar and Tlaib be removed from the committees and censured.

Illegal Immigrant Sympathetically Profiled By CNN Kills Father of Five

Westlake Legal Group CNN-logo-620x620 Illegal Immigrant Sympathetically Profiled By CNN Kills Father of Five Tragic Preventable Politics media bias Illegal Immigration Ice Front Page Stories Front Page Featured Story DUI drunk Deportation Order democrats CNN

An illegal immigrant who gained notoriety early in the year struck and killed a father of five late last week. CNN has previously profiled him in a sympathetic manner, sharing his story of hiding out in a church during the government shutdown to avoid a deportation order.

Here’s some of what CNN wrote.

An undocumented immigrant in Colorado says he’s taken shelter in a church because the government shutdown leaves him with no other choice.

Miguel Ramirez Valiente is facing a deportation order — but his lawyer says right now he has no way to fight it.

Most immigration courts are shuttered because of the shutdown. Judges are only hearing the cases of detained immigrants, while other cases are being postponed. But Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s fugitive operations and removal divisions are still operating.

So Ramirez Valiente stood at the pulpit at All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on Wednesday and told reporters he was seeking sanctuary to fight for the chance to remain with his wife and three children.

His story at the time was that he never received notice before he was ordered deported. That’s not an actual legal defense. A case was re-opened by ICE against him after he got a DUI leading to the revocation of his license in 2018. He had past arrests for domestic abuse as well. An acquaintance told Denver’s Channel 7 that Valiente was an abuser of alcohol.

His probation from the DUI had just been extended because he failed to even complete his community service or the court ordered therapy for alcoholism.

Now, a father for five children is dead because Valiente continued to flaunt the law by driving on a revoked license.

According to press reports, Miguel Ramirez Valiente was charged with careless driving with a revoked license after he over-corrected his truck while driving on a state highway near Colorado Springs, hitting Sean Buchanan.

Buchanan was riding a motorcycle when he was hit by Ramirez Valiente, who came to the U.S. from El Salvador 14 years ago.

Ramirez Valiente has several prior charges on his arrest record.

According to Denver’s ABC news affiliate, The Denver Channel, Ramirez Valiente was charged with reckless endangerment in 2011 and domestic violence in 2016.

This is a man who had no business being in the country. He was also a man who had no business driving a car. Yet, he was doing both, in violation of the law because a sanctuary city protected him. These are the real costs of illegal immigration and they are far too often ignored by the media because they choose to push their narrative instead.

Yes, I get that it’s sad when someone who broke the law gets deported, separating him/her from their children temporarily. But that’s far more just than an American citizen being killed by an illegal immigrant who has zero respect for the law.

I’d challenge any media personality or activist to look this woman in the face and tell her that Valiente had a right to be here.

Whether Valiente was driving drunk again during this accident hasn’t been revealed yet by authorities. The chances are certainly better than zero given his history.

This has to stop. It’s not just and moral to continue to allow the flaunting of US law, putting kids and migrants in danger trying to cross the border with the help or drug cartels. It’s also not just and moral for a father to be dead right now because local authorities are ignoring immigration laws.

I’m tired of the biased stories that only focus on the plight of migrants with CNN shoving mics in kid’s faces so they can get their viral video. There are real costs for American citizens as well and it’s about time that gets highlighted.

FBI Arrests Alleged Would-Be Neo-Nazi Terrorist Before He Can Commit Mass Murder at a Las Vegas Synagogue

The U.S. Attorney’s Office released a statement Friday revealing details of a Las Vegas security guard’s arrest.

The 23-year-old’s been “charged by a criminal complaint with one count of possession of an unregistered firearm – namely, the component parts of a destructive device.”

That’d be…like one of these:

As per the 11-page criminal complaint lodged against him, the man was allegedly engaged in encrypted communication with those identifying with the National Socialist Movement in order to attack a synagogue in the desert town. Additionally, he may have been surveilling an LGBTQ-friendly bar for nefarious reasons.

What’s the NSM all about? According to the District of Nevada Attorney’s Office, it’s this:

Members believe in the superiority of the white race and have a common goal of challenging the established laws, social order, and government via terrorism and other violent acts.

Tampa Bay’s ABC Action News reports that the Las Vegas Joint Terrorism Task Force began investigating the man in April, after it was learned he was messaging with neo-Nazi organization Atomwaffen Division.

The guy’s got uncanny taste in friends.

During a search, officials discovered “a notebook with several hand-drawn schematics for a potential Las Vegas-area attack.” Also drawn: “timed explosive devises.”

Yeah — this guy could use an intervention.

It just keeps getting worse — in his bedroom, law enforcement found bomb parts and explosive-friendly chemicals. Bonus: an “AR-15-style rifle and a bolt-action rifle.”

Definitely intervention material.

The guns were impounded.

Here’s what FBI Las Vegas Division Special Agent in Charge Aaron Rouse had to say about all this:

“The FBI’s Las Vegas Joint Terrorism Task Force is committed to protecting our community from any threat of domestic terrorism and I could not be more proud of the work they did in this case. … As this complaint illustrates, the FBI will always be proactive to combat threats that cross a line from free speech to potential violence.”

Assuming the charges are accurate, thank God agencies intercepted the man and his efforts. We could’ve been soon reading about the death and destruction he caused. Instead, we’re finding out he faces up to a decade in prison.

Law enforcement took care of business.

Surely right now, there are other would-be terrorists. As George W. Bush directed after 9/11, we must stay vigilant. Observe and report. For most every evil deed, I believe, there were signs not taken seriously enough to prevent it.

But the citizens of Las Vegas can sleep a little bit more soundly tonight, knowing an armed and dangerous aspiring assassin is behind bars.

Now are you ready to see the guy? He already made the headlines, back in 2016. Ladies and Gentlemen, meet Conor Climo, your trusty neighborhood watchman:

Former MCC Inmate: ‘There’s No Way That Man [Epstein] Could Have Killed Himself’

FILE – This July 27, 2006 arrest file photo made available by the Palm Beach, Fla., Sheriff’s Office shows Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein, a wealthy financier and convicted sex offender, has been arrested in New York on sex trafficking charges. Two law enforcement officials said Epstein was taken into federal custody Saturday, July 6, 2019, on charges involving sex-trafficking allegations that date to the 2000s. A former inmate who had been incarcerated for several months in the same part of the Metropolitan Correctional Center as Jeffrey Epstein spoke to New York Post reporters Brad Hamilton and Bruce Golding on Saturday. This area, called the 9 South special housing unit, was reserved for “high-profile prisoners awaiting trial.”

To be sure, we will hear more than a few conspiracy theories surrounding Epstein’s death in the coming weeks, but I thought I would share this man’s story because he had once been an “insider.”

This man, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, does not believe Epstein killed himself. And, in his own words, he explains his reasons below:

“There’s no way that man could have killed himself. I’ve done too much time in those units. It’s an impossibility.

Between the floor and the ceiling is like eight or nine feet. There’s no way for you to connect to anything.

You have sheets, but they’re paper level, not strong enough. He was 200 pounds — it would never happen.

When you’re on suicide watch (see note below), they put you in this white smock, a straight jacket. They know a person cannot be injurious to themselves.

The clothing they give you is a jump-in uniform. Everything is a dark brown color.

Could he have done it from the bed? No sir. There’s a steel frame, but you can’t move it. There’s no light fixture. There’s no bars.

They don’t give you enough in there that could successfully create an instrument of death. You want to write a letter, they give you rubber pens and maybe once a week a piece of paper.

Nothing hard or made of metal.

And there’s a cop at the door about every nine minutes, whether you’re on suicide watch or not.

There’s up to 80 people there. They could put two in cell. It’s one or two, but I’ll never believe this guy had a cellmate. He was too blown up.

The damage that unit can do to someone.

It’s like you’re an animal and you’ve been brought into a kennel. A guy like Jeffrey, it’s like, “Holy sh-t.”

I told my parents not to come there. God wasn’t in the building.

I’ve had some heavy incidents in the building. What happened is permanent.

Some of the guards are on a major power trip. They know guys there are suffering. They know something the rest of the world hasn’t seen, that a place like this exists in this country, and they get off on it.

If the guards see that the guy is breaking, they’re going to help you break.

But it’s my firm belief that Jeffrey Epstein did not commit suicide. It just didn’t happen.”

Note: NBC, The New York Post and other media outlets confirmed Epstein had been removed from suicide watch at the end of July.
