Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil’s 5-year-old pup was “brutally” stalked and killed by their neighbor’s dogs, according to his girlfriend.

The 10-pound Yorkshire terrier, named California Wolf, frequently appeared in Neil’s Instagram photos as well as those of his girlfriend, Rain Hannah, who announced the grisly death in a Father’s Day post.

“We have been mourning her and celebrating her life the last few days,” Hannah wrote. “We are beyond devastated from her passing.”

TOMMY LEE SAID HE AND HIS WIFE BOOTED FROM EMERIL LAGASSE RESTAURANT

The couple used a separate Instagram just for photos California Wolf – in which she often appeared wearing bows or posing with other pets and even horses. In a post on that account, Neil and Hannah wrote that their security cameras had recorded the attack and accused their neighbors of lying about what happened.

“I’m going to miss this little one forever,” Neil wrote in a post of his own. “Love you Cali.”

Hannah said the neighbors’ “kill for sport” dogs “brutally hunted” California Wolf just a few steps from their front door.

“If you all can say a prayer for her,” she wrote. “We will always have her star spirit with us and cherish the unconditional love she gave us and shared with so many. Thank you all for loving her.”

Neil, known to be a dog lover, purchased a private jet back in 2010 just to travel back and forth from his homes in San Francisco and Los Vegas without having to crate his pets, ET Canada reported.

“Those are the kids, I mean, just because of them I had to buy a jet,” he said at the time, according to the entertainment site Blabbermouth. “I would have to charter planes for the dogs all the time, and it was getting so expensive that I realized it was cheaper to buy a plane than to keep chartering it.”

Motley Crue last week announced new summer of 2021 dates for a rescheduled North American stadium tour alongside Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.

The original summer 2020 dates were pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic. The concert series is simply called The Stadium Tour.

The band also saw an influx of new fans last year after it was the subject of a Netflix movie, “The Dirt.”

Tennessee dog turns 20, sets record for oldest living golden retriever in history

A dog in Tennessee has become the oldest known living golden retriever in history after celebrating her 20thbirthday in April, according to a recent blog post from the GoldHeart Golden Retrievers Rescue.

A golden retriever called August, or “Augie”, who lives with owners Jennifer and Steve Hetterscheidt in Oakland, Tenn., turned 20 years old on April 24. The couple said Augie was born in 2000 and had two previous homes before they adopted her when she was already 14.

“They figured that most people wouldn’t want such an elderly golden, but they had no idea of the upcoming journey they would be on with Augie,” the rescue group wrote. “They’ve taken her on RV trips all around the country, she’s got several canine and feline siblings, and she gets to play fetch in the pool.

“On the other hand, Jennifer and Steve have been rewarded with over six years of love and loyalty from this wonderful (and now record-holding) golden.”

Most golden retrievers live between 10 and 12 years.

GoldHeart Golden Retrievers Rescue shared several photos on Saturday showing a gray-haired Augie wearing a birthday bandana and enjoying “dog-friendly carrot cake” and some “quality time” with her golden retriever siblings, Sherman, Belle and Bruce.

Despite Augie’s age, Jennifer Hetterscheidt said her pet is still “surprisingly healthy,” and, although she does get a bit shaky when she first gets up, she can still move around well and enjoys daily walks around the yard.

The Humane Society of North Texas has recovered 124 animals from one unsanitary home.

A spokesperson for the group, who disclosed that agents also removed 600 pounds of waste, called it the “worst cockroach infestation” they had ever seen, according to CBS DFW.

CAT ADOPTION: WHAT ARE THE COSTS?

“The cruelty these pets endured was unfathomable and inexcusable,” they said. “We will continue to fight for those without a voice, and we thank the community for their continued financial support. These pets will be rehabilitated by our medical teams and ultimately become available for adoption to loving homes,” said Cassie Davidson, director of communications for HSNT.

Altogether, the agency removed 97 guinea pigs, nine chinchillas, six rabbits, four parakeets, two chickens, two degus, two hamsters, one cockatiel and one cat, all found deep in fecal material.

A number of the animals had no potable water, only dirty, contaminated water. Food was also scarce, the report noted, and many of the pets suffered from clearly visible infections, including eye and nasal discharge, sneezing, and overgrown nails embedded with grime.

HSNT also discovered 122 dead animals in the home. Police arrested 55-year-old Laurie Jordan and 67-year-old Terry Self on animal cruelty warrants Tuesday, per Denton Record-Chronicle.

So you want to bring home a new cat or kitten. But beyond buying a litter box and the latest (coolest) cat toys, what costs should you be anticipating for your furry new friend?

When looking at adopting, “Kitten Lady” Hannah Shaw tells Fox News that people should turn to shelters instead of choosing free kittens from maybe neighbors or classified ads, because when getting a kitten through a shelter, early preventative care should be part of the adoption fee, which can vary from shelters to shelter and typically range from $40 to $75, according to the ASPCA.

“Look at an adoption fee as such a gift,” she said. “Ideally you’re taking home a kitten that has all of its preventative care when you adopt from a shelter. When you try to get a free kitten, they don’t have those shots.”

“A free kitten is an expensive kitten,” she added.

Shaw said those considering adoption should ask questions about the adoption fee, and make sure it includes all of their vaccinations, deworming, and any testing. And for follow-up shots, the Kitten Lady said those don’t have to be so expensive — you can check online for resources on low-cost vaccine clinics in your community.

Shaw emphasized proper nutrition and preventative care as two other big considerations of people adopting animals —and both can cost some money.

“I definitely believe that prevention is important and is something that is easier than waiting until problems arise,” Shaw said. “You want to make sure [the cats] have all of their cat and kitten shots, and are up-to-date. Think of it like you would for a human baby. Kittens need booster shots and vaccines. Cats should be going to the vet at least once a year for a check-up.”

“Cats receive far less veterinary care than dogs,” she cautioned. “Because cats are very stoic, people do not always understand or recognize disease in their cat. Recognize what your cat looks like when healthy and what happens if anything goes wrong.”

One way of ensuring your cat stays healthy, Shaw said, is through proper nutrition. The Royal Canin pet food partner said pet parents should check to make sure they are feeding their cats age-appropriate, high-quality food.

“You want to know you’re feeding them something appropriate for their age,” Shaw said, adding that she feeds her kittens Mother and Baby Cat food from Royal Canin.

“There’s definitely a financial commitment,” Shaw warned, though that should not deter people from welcoming a new fuzzy feline into their family.

“Right now is a very great period to adopt and be bonding with an animal.”

Two Illinois residents have been arrested on animal cruelty charges after officers found three dead dogs and multiple malnourished ones last month at a home outside Chicago.

Emily Chesterfield, 27, surrendered Tuesday after her initial misdemeanor count of cruel treatment was upgraded to felony aggravated animal cruelty, according to the Chicago Tribune.

A deputy with the Kane County Sheriff’s Department found the remains of a small dog in a garbage bag outside Chesterfield’s home in St. Charles Township after being called there for a hoarding case May 30.

After Chesterfield let the deputy inside the house, he found two other dead dogs and nine other “malnourished” dogs, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

The dogs were confiscated by Kane County Animal Control. Chesterfield was released on a $500 bond.

William Chesterfield was charged with two misdemeanor counts of failure to supply proper food and water. It was unclear how the Chesterfields were related.

Last Thursday, the sheriff’s office went back to the property with a search warrant and found a bearded dragon and another neglected dog, which animal control also confiscated, the Tribune reported.

In total, 11 dogs who were “malnourished and in poor health” were found on the property, according to the Sun-Times.

The world’s tallest dog got some paws-itive news on his birthday.

Enormous Freddy — who is over 7 feet tall standing on his back legs — turned 8 years old, making him the oldest known living Great Dane in the world.

Freddy’s owner, Claire Stoneman from Weeting, Norfolk, UK, threw the big dog a birthday party on May 17 to celebrate, along with his sister Fleur, who is from the same litter and is just minutes younger.

“Freddy and Fleur had a great birthday party and they both had the best time. We decorated the garden and they got loads of their favorite treats and cuddly toys,” Stoneman tells Caters.

Stoneman’s 7-year-old neighbor and Freddy’s best friend, Erin Manley, also attended the party. Erin has known Freddy her whole life, and they grew up together.

“Erin has never known life without Freddy. She isn’t [fazed] by his height at all and has always been close to him,” Erin’s dad, Peter, tells Caters.

Before the coronavirus lockdown, Erin would go to visit Freddy, who weighs about 210 pounds, at least twice a week. She sometimes gives him a phone call before she goes to bed, and Freddy mumbles back when he recognizes her voice.

“He’s so big that he towers over her. She cuddles up to him on the settee to watch television and he just towers over her, but they have a very sweet relationship,” Erin’s dad says.

Stoneman takes her Great Danes out for a walk early in the morning to avoid large crowds.

“Everyone is always shocked by their size and some people are intimidated, they say it’s like I’m walking a horse down the street,” she says.

Freddy’s appetite is just as big, too. His food — consisting of kibble, minced beef, roast chicken and lots of treats — costs Stoneman over $630 a month.

“Despite their size, they’re very kind-natured and put their paws on you if they know you’re upset. They love cuddling and I sleep with them on two mattresses in the living room at night,” Stoneman says.

Freddy, who officially measures at 3.395 feet tall to his back, was named the world’s tallest living dog in the Guinness World Records in 2017.

Guinness World Records has confirmed Freddy is the oldest Great Dane they have on record, and Stoneman plans to apply for an official record.

“Freddy was actually the runt of the litter and now he’s got a Guinness World Record and is set to reach a second.”

Amy Cooper once claimed her ex-lover bilked her out of $65G

The white dog-walker who sparked widespread outrage by calling the cops on a black man in Central Park was once embroiled in a soap opera-like drama involving a married boyfriend and claims that he cheated her out of $65,000.

Amy Cooper had a “romantic relationship” with Wall Street trader Martin Priest from 2008 to 2012, “while unaware that [he] was still residing with his wife,” according to a fraud suit she filed against him in 2015.

Cooper broke up with Priest when she learned his wife was pregnant, the Manhattan Supreme Court filing said.

‘CENTRAL PARK KAREN,’ AMY COOPER, FACES NYC HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION INVESTIGATION

But she still had feelings for Priest when he allegedly reached out in October 2013 and told her that his marriage “was irretrievably broken down and that he was a victim of abuse from his wife,” according to Cooper’s suit.

Cooper alleged in her suit that Priest also said that he’d since gotten another girlfriend pregnant, that she “had likewise abused him” and that he desperately needed $100,000 to “protect himself and his children from his wife” and to pay his girlfriend “to abort her unborn child.”

In order to convince Cooper to part with the cash, Cooper alleged, Priest allegedly lied and told her that he “wanted to get back together after all his marital and extramarital problems [were] resolved.”

In response, Cooper loaned him a total of $65,000 between Feb. 12 and July 30, 2014, her suit said.

But in September 2014, after Priest’s divorce was finalized, Cooper got a text message from his girlfriend, who said she and Priest were living together and planning to marry, according to her suit.

The girlfriend also allegedly told Cooper that Priest’s “claims of abuse and intent to be with [Cooper] were false.”

Priest and the girlfriend got married the following month and were living with their infant son in New Jersey, according to posts on her Facebook page.

At the time Cooper filed her suit, Priest — who then worked for Daiwa Capital Markets — called her claims “completely salacious” and “absolutely false.”

He also filed a legal response denying the allegations against him.

Cooper’s suit was later dismissed when neither side showed up for court conferences in January and March 2018, records show.

On Wednesday night, Priest told The Post that the lawsuit Cooper brought against him was a “complete fabrication” and insisted that the two were never involved.

“I never had a romantic relationship with Cooper and the allegations she brought against me were vinditivate and divorced from reality,” Priest said.

Cooper came under fire Monday following the revelation of a video recorded by birder Christian Cooper, no relation, after he asked her to put her cocker spaniel on a leash in Central Park’s Ramble, as per the rules there.

She responded by threatening to call 911 and “tell them there’s an African American man threatening my life” — and proceeded to do just that.

Fallout from the incident included the Franklin Templeton investment firm firing Cooper from her job there, Mayor Bill de Blasio accusing her of “racism, pure and simple,” and an investigation launched by the city Commission on Human Rights.

Christian Cooper also said he’d been told there were death threats made against her, telling CNN that “that is wholly inappropriate and abhorrent and should stop immediately.”

Cooper didn’t immediately respond to a message left with the doorman at her Upper West Side apartment building, where former professional dog-walker Kyle Stover told The Post that he worked for her over several years, ending in 2018.

The address of that building is the same listed for her in court papers tied to her suit.

Her lawyer did not return requests for comment.

An elderly tortoise with a penchant for fruit salad and dandelions is looking for a home after her previous owner recently passed away from the coronavirus.

Ms. Jennifer was brought to the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA) on May 9 following her owner’s hospitalization. She’s since been showered with affection and lots of vegetables from staffers to make life a little easier.

“Now, with no home to go back to, Ms. Jennifer needs a hero more than ever,” the adoption agency said in a statement.

Ms. Jennifer celebrates her 53rd birthday Wednesday with fun in the sun and some fruit cake. The tortoise is looking for a new home after her owner died from the coronavirus, the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals said.  (Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals)

Her owner “absolutely doted” on her, the MSPCA said, including scheduling her for wellness checkups, bringing her along on errands and showing her off to friends.

Ms. Jennifer celebrated her 53rd birthday on Wednesday. The MSPCA threw her a party complete with time outside and, of course, fruit salad.

“We like to think she knows the attention is for her, and that she feels the love and support of all of us taking care of her,” said Victoria Odynsky, manager of the MSPCA-Angell’s Boston adoption center.

The reptile, which weight 4 pounds and measures the size of a plate, is perfect for a reptile or turtle enthusiast, the agency said.

She might be the oldest animal the center has ever been charged with adopting, it said. Unfortunately, the global pandemic has resulted in an uptick in animals being turned over for adoption from pet owners who have died, fell ill or are too financially strapped to care for them, Odynsky said.

ATLANTA — In the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, it’s become clear that people are turning to their furry friends for comfort.

24HourPetWatch, a pet microchip company that collects data from roughly 1,500 U.S. shelters and rescue centers, said the number of animals in foster care has increased since mid-March, but data points to a decrease in pet adoptions during COVID-19.

According to Matt Bershadker, president and CEO of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), since March 15, applications to foster pets are up 400 percent compared to the previous year.

“While the ASPCA’s adoption and foster rates vary based on factors including the population of animals in our care and feline breeding season, there has been an incredible response from people looking to temporarily foster animals during this difficult time,” Bershadker said.

With regard to adoption, Bershadker noted the ASPCA saw an initial spike in adoptions in March when the pandemic began, but saw numbers slowly start to plateau or decrease due to shelter closures and the slow nature of virtual adoption as quarantine progressed.

“This is partly due to the fact that, out of an abundance of caution related to the COVID-19 crisis across New York City, we closed the ASPCA Adoption Center to the public and worked hard to move the majority of the animals in our care into foster homes,” Bershadker explained.

The Humane Society has experienced similar trends.

“We’ve definitely had an increased interest in adoptions,” said Christina Hill, communications director for the Humane Society. “But the virtual adoption process takes much longer to complete than our standard pre-COVID process. We also stopped intake, like many shelters have, at the recommendation of national veterinary and sheltering groups, and fewer in equals fewer out.”

During the week of March 7, around when the COVID-19 crisis began in the U.S., there were 17,930 pet adoptions. The week of May 2, there were 11,938 pet adoptions, showing about a 33 percent decrease in adoptions from the start of the pandemic to this month.

But the percentage of pets entering foster care is up.

There were 32,962 pets in foster care the week of March 7, and as of May 8, there were 47,856 — a 45 percent increase.

Jane Chiavelli is one quarantiner who decided this was the time to foster a dog.

“I’ve grown up with dogs, and since I’m working from home right now, I wanted to do something good and different,” Chiavelli said.

She decided to foster her dog, Gus, at the start of April, about one month into quarantine.

“I sent in an application to English Springer Rescue America and had a phone interview. Normally they come to inspect your house, but given social distancing, I sent pictures of my apartment and dog park. They matched me with Gus to foster, and I drove to [South Carolina] to pick him up,” Chiavelli said.

After a few weeks quarantining with Gus, she knew she had to adopt.

“I realized how perfect he was for me and couldn’t imagine giving him up,” she said.

CAN PETS COME DOWN WITH CORONAVIRUS?

Chiavelli said, based on her experience, she encourages everyone to foster pets and consider adoption.

“Do it,” she said. “I think it’s a great opportunity to do something good, and also an opportunity to have some nice company.”

Shelters across the country have implemented innovative solutions to make situations like Chiavelli’s possible, while ensuring the safety of their staff, animals, and communities.

“Many animal shelters have been leaning on technology to facilitate online adoptions to continue safely moving dogs and cats out of the shelter and into homes,” Bershadker said.

Shelters are following the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC’s) guidelines around social distancing. For example, the ASPCA’s Los Angeles Feline Foster Program is set up to provide minimal-exposure and contact-free adoptions. Potential adopters are required to fill out an online adoption survey. From there, the ASPCA holds virtual meet-and-greets between cats and their potential adopters in an effort to find them loving homes during the pandemic.

Similarly, for the Humane Society, interested adopters must fill out an online adoption application. Then, its operations team works with the potential adopter to schedule a socially-distanced meet-and-greet with the foster parent.

“Then, once everyone feels it’s a great match, the application is formally processed electronically and the adopter picks up the pet,” Hill said.

To assist animal welfare organizations and struggling pet owners during this crisis, the ASPCA launched its COVID-19 Relief & Recovery Initiative.

“It’s a $5 million dollar response effort which will grant a minimum of $2 million dollars to animal welfare organizations in critical need of funds,” Bershadker said. “It will provide pet food and urgent veterinary care to vulnerable pet owners through regional pet food distribution centers in several cities across the country.”

The Humane Society is also increasing its community outreach.

“We are currently offering free virtual veterinary and behavior assistance, free pet food, a COVID-19 pet hotline, and free pet boarding for those hospitalized with COVID-19,” Hill said.

“We’re also providing Instagram live Q&As with trainers and behaviorists where pet owners can ask their questions and have them answered live.”

The Humane Society continues to showcase its animals on social media, but according to Hill, “interest in adoptions has been so high, we haven’t needed to do many extra special things to help our animals find homes.”

The ASPCA will host the National Adoption Weekend from June 5 through 7 to keep encouraging the public to #AdoptFromHome and help thousands of pets find homes across the country. The initiative will help prevent shelters and rescue organizations from becoming overwhelmed with an influx of animals when shelter-in-place orders are lifted.

An Illinois woman was likely viciously mauled to death inside her home by her own pet French Bulldog, according to authorities.

Lisa Urso, 52, was found dead at her home in Ingleside, located in the northern part of the state about 60 miles from both Chicago and Milwaukee in opposite directions.

Officers who responded to the scene after 4:43 p.m. Saturday found her mutilated body on the back porch, Fox Lake Police Chief Jimmy Lee said.

An autopsy confirmed she died from injuries sustained when her pet French Bulldog attacked her. The coroner’s office said the attack began inside the home but Urso managed to make it out to the porch, where she died, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

This 2011 Facebook photos shows Lisa Urso with one of her French Bulldogs.

“You don’t really think about it happening with a smaller dog breed but we forget animals can be powerful,” Lake County Coroner Dr. Howard Cooper told WGN. “This animal has a lot of jaw strength.”

The French Bulldog that fatally attacked Urso was a rescue and had previously been used to fight, Cooper said.

That animal, as well as a second French Bulldog and a Border Collie, were removed from the home and are in the custody of Lake County Animal Care and Control.

Cooper said most of the bite marks were not on the woman’s neck, but, instead, on her legs and arms.

“Some on her torso as well. Just a lot of bites. A lot of scratching,” he said. “I hate to say it but unfortunately it was a vicious attack.”

An investigation is ongoing. Chief Lee said there were signs of a struggle within the home. Blood was found on at least one other dog. It was unclear if her other pets were involved or intervened.

“We have been in close contact with Ms. Urso’s family and our deepest condolences go out to them during this difficult time,” Cooper said in a statement, according to the Sun-Times. “This is truly a tragedy.”

Police said that the woman was supposed to meet up with co-workers Saturday. When she didn’t show, they came to check on her.

Urso lived with her boyfriend, who was not at home at the time of the fatal attack. He himself had been attacked by the same French Bulldog last month, and the animal was taken away, Lee said. Urso had gone to the Lake County Animal Care and Control to retrieve the dog, which was returned to her, the Daily Herald reported.
