The New York Times raised eyebrows this week with a collection of “related” op-eds about former Vice President Joe Biden.

First flagged by journalist Peter Hamby, the Times published an opinion piece on Sunday titled “How to Outflank Trump Online,” which was written by veterans of the Buttigieg and Yang presidential campaigns regarding the Biden campaign’s obstacles facing off in the digital arena against the Trump campaign.

However, in the middle of the op-ed, a group of “related” pieces is displayed, saying, “More advice for Joe Biden.”

NY TIMES OPINION WRITER CALLS OUT DEMS FOR BACKING BIDEN FOLLOWING COURT DOC, LARRY KING CLIP

The op-eds listed include “How Joe Biden Can Defeat Trump From His Basement” written by Democratic strategist Lis Smith, “What Joe Biden Needs to Do to Beat Trump” written by former Obama aides David Axelrod and David Plouffe, and “Joe Biden Is Not Hiding. He’s Lurking” written by Times editorial writer Michelle Cottle.

“Of course there’s an entire category of NYT opinion pieces labeled ‘advice for Joe Biden,'” Hamby reacted sharing a screenshot of the page.

This isn’t the first time the paper’s coverage of Biden has raised eyebrows. Last month, Times executive editor Dean Baquet acknowledged that the Biden campaign had influenced a large edit regarding the language of the presumptive Democratic nominee’s past allegations of unwanted touching in its report about Tara Reade’s claims.

Earlier this month, the Times’ editorial board was widely panned after it called for the Democratic National Committee (DNC) to investigate Reade’s sexual harassment and assault allegations.

Twitter to let employees work from home indefinitely

Some Twitter employees may never return to their offices even after coronavirus restrictions lift.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey told employees on Tuesday that they’d be allowed to work from home permanently, even after the lockdown passes, according to BuzzFeed News. Certain jobs that require physical presence, such as maintaining servers, will still require employees to come in.

“We’ve been very thoughtful in how we’ve approached this from the time we were one of the first companies to move to a work-from-home model,” a Twitter spokesperson told BuzzFeed News. “We’ll continue to be, and we’ll continue to put the safety of our people and communities first.”

Twitter, along with Google, Microsoft, Facebook and Apple, were among the earliest companies to allow employees to work from home earlier this spring.

In early March, Twitter human resources head Jennifer Christie told BuzzFeed News the company would “never probably be the same” in the structure of its work. “People who were reticent to work remotely will find that they really thrive that way,” Christie said. “Managers who didn’t think they could manage teams that were remote will have a different perspective. I do think we won’t go back.”

In his email, Dorsey reportedly said it’s unlikely Twitter would open its offices before September and that business travel would be canceled until then as well, with very few exceptions.

The company will also cancel all in-person events for the rest of the year and reassess its plan for 2021 later this year. Facebook has already said the majority of its in-person events are cancelled through June 2021.

As of Tuesday evening, the coronavirus was responsible for 82,105 deaths and 1,366,350 infections in the United States.

ABC News scored an interview with former Vice President Joe Biden, but one critic noted that it was the only broadcast network to skip coverage of Tara Reade’s recent on-camera sitdown.

George Stephanopoulos announced on Monday that he’ll be “talking exclusively” with the presumptive Democratic nominee on Tuesday during “Good Morning America.”

However, media analyst Steve Krakauer observed that unlike CBS and NBC, ABC did not acknowledge Reade’s interview with Megyn Kelly, which was released on Friday after preview clips began generating headlines.

“It’s… interesting that the only network morning show that didn’t @MegynKelly’s Tara Reade interview gets the exclusive with Joe Biden tomorrow. CBS and NBC each aired a clip from the interview on Friday morning,” the Fourth Watch media newsletter founder wrote.

TARA READE EXPLAINS PAST PRAISE FOR BIDEN, CRYPTIC ‘TIC TOC’ TWEET SHE MADE BEFORE COMING FORWARD

Stephanopoulos was also one of the many anchors who previously interviewed Biden in recent weeks but failed to ask the former vice president about the 1993 allegations Reade made since she came forward on March 25.

TARA READE, IN FIRST ON-CAMERA INTERVIEW: ‘I WISH’ BIDEN WOULD DROP OUT OF WHITE HOUSE RACE

Biden was finally asked about Reade’s claims during a May 1 appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” where he flatly denied the allegations.

Aside from a couple of TV appearances on local news stations, Biden has largely avoided national TV interviews and has kept a lower profile.

In her on-camera sitdown with Megyn Kelly, Tara Reade claimed that her former boss used “vulgar” language during the alleged assault, something she had not revealed in previous interviews.

CNN IGNORES TARA READE’S CALL FOR JOE BIDEN TO DROP OUT OF PRESIDENTIAL CONTEST

“He was kissing my neck area and he whispered, Did I want to go somewhere else in a low voice,” Reade recalled. “He said some other things. I can’t remember everything he said, but he said something vulgar.”

“May I ask what?” Kelly asked.

“He said, ‘I want to f— you,” Reade responded. “And he said it low and I was pushing away.”

In a statement to Fox News on Thursday in response to previously released clips from the interview, the Biden campaign pointed to “inconsistencies” in various accounts by Reade.

“Women must receive the benefit of the doubt. They must be able to come forward and share their stories without fear of retribution or harm — and we all have a responsibility to ensure that,” Biden deputy campaign manager Kate Bedingfield said. “At the same time, we can never sacrifice the truth. And, the truth is that these allegations are false and that the material that has been presented to back them up, under scrutiny, keeps proving their falsity.”

Reade also expressed her “wish” for Biden to withdraw from the 2020 race.

Twitter announced Monday it will begin to issue warnings on coronavirus-related tweets containing information that conflicts with guidance from public health officials.

Twitter will take a case-by-case approach to how it decides which tweets are labeled and will only remove posts it deems harmful, according to company leaders.

Some tweets include a label underneath that directs users to a link with additional information about the virus. Other tweets may be covered entirely by a warning label alerting users that “some or all of the content shared in this tweet conflict with guidance from public health experts regarding COVID-19.”

The warnings will begin appearing on tweets as soon as today and could apply retroactively to past tweets.

Twitter won’t directly fact-check or call tweets false on the site, said Nick Pickles, the company’s global senior strategist for public policy.

“People don’t want us to play the role of deciding for them what’s true and what’s not true but they do want people to play a much stronger role providing context,” Pickles said.

SOCIAL MEDIA GIANTS’ ATTEMPTS TO LIMIT CORONAVIRUS MISINFORMATION FRAUGHT WITH PERIL, CRITICS SAY

Twitter’s new rule comes as other tech giants like Google, Facebook, and YouTube ramp up their efforts to crack down on virus-related misinformation on their platforms.

Last month, Facebook began alerting users who interacted with coronavirus misinformation by directing them to the World Health Organization’s fact page.

Twitter said it will continue to take down COVID-19-related tweets it deems unsafe, along with any attempts to incite mass violence or civil unrest. The company has already been removing bogus claims about coronavirus cures and assertions that social distancing or face masks do not curb the virus’ spread.

Tara Reade addressed her past praise for former Vice President Joe Biden during an interview released on Friday, as well as a cryptic message on Twitter that has drawn the attention of skeptics of Reade’s claim that Biden sexually assaulted her in 1993.

Reade went public with her assault claim against Biden in late March. Last year, she was one of several women to come forward and accuse the presumptive Democratic nominee of unwanted touching. However, Reade’s past social media activity, including her positive responses to Biden’s activism on behalf of sex assault victims, raised eyebrows.

“As recently as 2017, you were praising Joe Biden publicly,” interviewer Megyn Kelly.

“Right,” Reade acknowledged.

“And I think that has a lot of people scratching their heads, right?” Kelly continued. “On multiple occasions, you retweeted or liked online praise for Joe Biden and his work combatting sexual assault. There was a compliment you tweeted about him saying, ‘My old boss speaks truth. Listen.’

“I mean, it is true that women do sometimes praise men who have sexually harassed or abused them,” Kelly added, “but why would you publicly praise Joe Biden for actions on sexual assault when you claim that’s what he did to you?”

TARA READE, IN NEW INTERVIEW, CLAIMS BIDEN USED GRAPHIC LANGUAGE TO PROPOSITION HER DURING ALLEGED ASSAULT

“Well, one thing during that time- I’m an expert witness on domestic violence issues, as you know, so that was, like an account, you know, part of that awareness of domestic violence and other violent acts,” Reade responded, alluding to a past marriage to an abusive husband. “I’ve always been conflicted about Joe Biden. I didn’t want to talk badly about him and I wasn’t ready to tell my history with Joe Biden at that point at all. And nor [did I have] any idea of going to the press at that point. It wasn’t until 2019 when I saw Lucy Flores and the way the media treated her … I felt like I wanted to come forward.”

Flores, a former Nevada State Assembly member, was the first woman who publicly accused Biden last year of inappropriately touching her at a past campaign event while he was serving as vice president.

After Reade’s friend attempted to discourage her from coming forward in 2019, Reade told Kelly that she was hopeful that the #MeToo movement would make it easier for her to go public with her claims of inappropriate touching while withholding any claims about an assault.

Kelly later pivoted to a tweet Reade posted on March 3, weeks before she went public with her assault claim, that was in response to a tweet written by The Intercept’s Ryan Grim, who broke the first report about Reade’s interactions with the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund.

TARA READE’S TIMELINE: FROM 1990’s BIDEN STAFFER TO CENTER OF POLITICAL FIRESTORM

Grim had written, “A head-to-head Biden v Sanders contest will force voters to take a close look at Biden again. That went very badly for him last time.”

Reade, who had supported Sen. Bernie Sanders for president after initially supporting Elizabeth Warren, then tweeted, “Yup. Timing… wait for it… tic toc.”

“It sounds political and it sounds like you were excited to drop this bomb,” Kelly told the Biden accuser.

“That was in response to me getting — finally, I thought — an attorney from Time’s Up to finally bring something forward and bring my story forward in a safe way. So that’s why I wrote it,” Reade explained.

“Tic toc was a reference to. … Time’s Up,” Kelly clarified. “Were you excited? Because it sounded anticipatory, you’re building the anticipation and the suspense. People have used that as a reason to say, ‘She’s not credible.'”

“I think that they’ll use anything to say that I’m not credible,” Reade chuckled. “So I won’t address it in that way. What I will say is that I was very, very vocal on Twitter about trying to get the story forward.”

Biden has repeatedly denied Reade’s claims against him, saying the assault “never happened.”

Things got pretty ugly on Twitter between Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas., and MSNBC host Joe Scarborough over their evolving attitudes toward President Trump.

The feud began after Scarborough shared a now-debunked video originally created by Jimmy Kimmel depicting Vice President Mike Pence carrying “empty” boxes of PPE into a hospital supposedly for just a photo-op. However, fuller footage from C-SPAN showed Pence helping out with full boxes of PPE and later jokingly asked that the remaining boxes, which were empty, could be used “just for the camera.”

Scarborough shared the video, not knowing that Twitter labeled it as “manipulated media,” and later deleted the tweet and offered an apology.

AXL ROSE, STEVE MNUCHIN IGNITE WILD FEUD ON TWITTER

“I guess Twitter is a full time job. I apologize to Mike Pence for retweeting a tweet that had been disproved. I’m deleting now,” Scarborough wrote.

However, that apology came after Cruz slammed the “Morning Joe” co-host for sharing the video to begin with.

“Hmm. When you’re on the defensive for being dishonest & corrupt, perhaps best not to forward fraudulent stories from Jimmy Kimmel (that he’s admitted were false)? You are claiming to be a journalist, after all,” Cruz swiped at the MSNBC star.

TRUMP TRASHES ‘HACK’ ANDY LACK FOLLOWING NBC OUSTING, HITS OTHER NETWORKS

Scarborough fired back, suggesting the senator should carry more “shame” for his support of President Trump despite insults that were thrown towards him and his family during the 2016 election.

“Ted, when I make a mistake I admit it. You remain mired in shame because you kowtow to a man who called your wife ugly and said your daddy assassinated JFK. Me messing up a tweet or two will never erase the shame you carry every day of your life,” Scarborough told Cruz.

Cruz then turned the tables on Scarborough, invoking Trump’s frequent appearances on his show during the GOP primary.

“Joe, you chased after Trump for 2 years like a teenage girl throwing her panties at the latest boy band; now you pretend to be this indignant paragon of virtue outraged at everything he says & does. All to get invited to DC cocktail parties & thrill the 13 people watching MSNBC,” Cruz tweeted.

“It would appear that @vp was joking about carrying empty boxes for a staged publicity stunt. The full video reveals that he was carrying full boxes for a staged publicity stunt. My apologies. I know how dearly this administration values truth,” Kimmel wrote on Friday.

Trump campaign releases Spanish ad targeting Dems defending Biden over Tara Reade claims

The Trump campaign released a new ad in Spanish targeting Democrats for their response to the allegations Tara Reade made against presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden.

The ad — shared on social media by “Equipo Trump,” or “Team Trump” in Spanish — shows several prominent Democrats, all who have strongly endorsed Biden in recent weeks, speaking out in defense of women accusers, many of them defending the accusers with past misconduct claims against now-Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

The ad begins with what looks like a Biden campaign virtual chat between Biden — “El Despistado,” which translates as “the Clueless” — with Hillary Clinton — “La Corrupta” or “the Corrupt” — from her recent endorsement of his candidacy, with Spanish translations running on the lower part of the screen, which was juxtaposed with reporting from Spanish-language journalists about Reade’s allegations.

The ad then shows remarks Clinton made in 2015 telling women “have the right to be believed” and that “we’re with you.”

“Do we value women? Do we believe women?” Gillibrand is seen asking.

“We believe women,” Booker is heard saying in a fiery speech.

“She is putting herself out there knowing that they are going to try [to] excoriate her,” Harris, who has been on Biden’s VP shortlist, said about Blasey Ford. “And she has the courage to come forward? She has nothing to gain. What does she have to gain?”

Biden is also heard saying “women should be believed” and that “the woman should be given the benefit of the doubt.”

“We are launching this ad because Hispanics, like all Americans, are sick and tired of the hypocrisy of Democrats and the mainstream media giving Joe Biden a pass,” Trump campaign Deputy Communications Director Ali Pardo told Fox News. “There is contemporaneous corroborating evidence of Biden’s alleged wrongful actions that didn’t exist for Judge Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearing, where there was virtually no supporting evidence at all.”

Pardo added: “There’s no doubt that there is a double standard that exists. Any reporter throwing softballs at Biden and not confronting him with these allegations is exhibiting that double standard.”

Biden has repeatedly denied Reade’s assault claim.

A New York Times opinion writer blasted Democrats on Thursday for their ongoing support for Joe Biden following the report of a newly surfaced court document that further helps corroborate Tara Reade’s claims.

The San Luis Obispo Tribune obtained a 1996 court filing from San Luis Obispo County showing Reade’s then-husband, Theodore Dronen, referring to her time working for the Delaware senator. The declaration came in response to a restraining order she had filed against him after he filed for divorce.

The court document, however, did not directly accuse the former vice president and 2020 presidential candidate of sexual harassment or refer to a sexual assault.

“I met Petitioner in the spring of 1993 while working in Washington D.C. At the early stages of our dating, Petitioner felt comfortable confiding in me as we both worked for members of Congress, and we shared many common interests,” the document obtained by the Tribune read. “On several occasions Petitioner related a problem that she was having at work regarding sexual harassment, in U.S. Senator Joe Biden’s office. Petitioner told me she struck a deal with the chief of staff of the senator’s office and left her position.”

TARA READE, IN FIRST ON-CAMERA INTERVIEW: ‘I WISH’ BIDEN WOULD DROP OUT OF WHITE HOUSE RACE

Dronen continued, “I was sympathetic to her needs when she asked me for help, and assisted her financially, and allowed her to stay in my apartment with my roommate while she looked for work. It was obvious that this event had a very traumatic effect on Petitioner, and that she is still sensitive and [affected] by it today.”

Times writer Elizabeth Bruenig appeared alarmed by the latest developments surrounding Reade’s claims.

“Uhh,” Bruenig reacted to the report.

She then took aim at Democrats, who have overwhelmingly thrown their support towards the presumptive Democratic nominee despite the growing controversy.

TARA READE’S TIMELINE: FROM 1990’s BIDEN STAFFER TO CENTER OF POLITICAL FIRESTORM

“Remarkable to see Dems look at the ’96 Reade court docs + listen to the Larry King call and say, ‘well hey, it’s only sexual harassment, not rape!'” Bruenig exclaimed.

Bruenig was referencing to the 1993 “Larry King Live” clip that emerged last month purportedly showing Reade’s mother calling into the show regarding “problems” her daughter faced with a “prominent senator.”

Earlier this week, Bruenig authored a piece warning Democrats that they may need to consider a “plan B” in case the allegations made against Biden collapse his campaign.

1996 COURT DOC SHOWS TARA READE’S EX-HUSBAND KNEW ABOUT ‘SEXUAL HARASSMENT’ WHILE SHE WORKED FOR BIDEN: REPORT

“Reade contends that, sometime in the spring of that year, Mr. Biden forced her against a wall, shoved his hand up her skirt, and forced his fingers into her vagina. Mr. Biden has unequivocally denied Ms. Reade’s allegations,” Bruenig wrote before citing recent developments, such as a former neighbor saying she’s heard about the accusations for years.

“I have my own impressions regarding Ms. Reade’s allegations, but no one – save Ms. Reade and Mr. Biden – knows with certainty whether her claims are true. What I can assert with firm conviction is that Democrats ought to start considering a backup plan for 2020,” Bruenig wrote.

Bruenig then argued that many of the things Reade has been criticized for are “nearly as incredible as some have argued” since she came forward in March.

“I have worked closely with many survivors of sexual assault. It isn’t unusual, in my experience, for survivors to exhibit behavior that seems unstable or erratic to others,” she explained.

The Times opinion writer noted that Democrats have been champions of the #MeToo movement and “subject Ms. Reade’s allegations to a level of scrutiny not widely applied to accusers in similar circumstances,” such as Christine Blasey Ford’s claims against Brett Kavanaugh.

“Conservatives … can see the plain gulf between how Democrats have approached sexual assault in politically advantageous cases versus Ms. Reade’s, and the evident hypocrisy threatens to discredit the entire enterprise,” Bruenig wrote. “Liberal thinkers and organizations have begun to realize this, and many have responded accordingly.”

Biden has repeatedly denied Reade’s claims.

Tara Reade says ‘creepy’ voice messages, online harassment targeting her, family

EXCLUSIVE: Tara Reade says she is facing an onslaught of online harassment and is concerned about the safety of her family after becoming the center of a political firestorm over her sexual-assault allegation against her former boss Joe Biden.

“I find it astounding — the hypocrisy that Democrats are talking about women being able to tell their story safely,” Reade told Fox News on Saturday. “I’m a Democrat, a lifelong Democrat, but yet here I am trying to talk about my history with Joe Biden and I’m just the target of online harassment.”

Reade said fake social media accounts have been created to impersonate her, pointing to one Facebook account with uploaded personal pictures of her and her family, and posts not authored by her.

A screenshot of one post was shared on Twitter by an apparent Biden supporter named Naomi Block, falsely accusing Reade of “deliberately tossing [Christine Blasey Ford] under the dang bus,” referring to a fake quote from the account.

The Facebook page, which was using the handle “@TaraReada,” also listed a fake website that used Reade’s full name.

Facebook did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment regarding if that page violates the platform’s policies.

Reade told Fox News that the home address of a family member was plastered online and that person received four “creepy” calls on Friday night, all within 30 minutes, from an unknown number.

BIDEN DODGES QUESTION ON WHETHER HE REMEMBERS TARA READE

In two voice messages obtained by Fox News, a caller appeared to have posed as a journalist seeking to speak with Reade.

“Hi Ms. Reade, this is Dave Johnson from the Observer, a small New York newspaper,” the voice says before laughing uncontrollably, later saying “Jeffrey Epstein didn’t kill himself” and “Trump 2020.”

In the second voice message, which was the third attempt at calling Reade’s family member, the caller says: “Hey Tara, this is Dave Johnson with the Observer and I would really love, I’d really appreciate a call back so we can discuss your new powerful allegation against Vice President Biden. I think you’re setting a tone and underscoring a double standard put forth by the Me Too movement, so I’d really appreciate it if you could just call me back, give me a couple of quick questions.”

Reade has also received numerous threatening messages, she said. In one email obtained by Fox News, someone named “Linda Dubois” called Reade a “f—ing whore” and a “disgrace to womanhood” for coming forward with her claims against Biden.

“You are a rip-roaring b—h and the great majority of Americans don’t believe you anyhow… I hope you drop dead,” the person wrote.

TARA READE’S TIMELINE: FROM 1990’s BIDEN STAFFER TO CENTER OF POLITICAL FIRESTORM

One prominent Biden ally was also apparently aiming for Reade. Jon Cooper, a former chair of the Democratic Coalition, questioned if Reade was “unbalanced” or “was driven by malicious motives.”

“This is an example [of] what I am dealing with in addition to the threats and harassment online,” Reade tweeted about Cooper.

“This is something that really has to stop and I’m just wondering where this is coming from,” Reade told Fox News. “Are these just fanatic supporters? And if so, what does that say about our Democratic voters? Why are they targeting me when the party line is supposed to be allowing people to be safe? Why are they targeting my family and myself and making my family frightened?”

She added: “It creates barriers for survivors to want to come forward and talk about difficult things that have happened. And in my case, talking about how Joe Biden sexually harassed and sexually assaulted me is very excruciating and enough by itself, but then to be targeted and harassed and have my whole family targeted and harassed online by people that call themselves his supporters is not only just upsetting, it’s frightening.”

On Friday, Biden finally broke his silence about the 1993 allegations made by Reade, telling MSNBC that the sexual harassment and assault she claims “never happened.”

EXCLUSIVE: Tara Reade slammed The Associated Press on Saturday for its framing of a story regarding her Senate personnel complaint she filed against her former boss Joe Biden, calling for the news outlet to “retract” its headline.

The AP ran an exclusive on Saturday with the initial headline, “Harassment, assault absent in Biden complaint.” The report details how she recalled using language like “uncomfortable” and “retaliation” instead of the term “sexual harassment.”

“This is false,” Reade had tweeted in response to a tweet from AP Politics, which read: “Tara Reade says a Senate report she filed against Joe Biden didn’t refer to sexual harassment or assault.”

Reade later told Fox News that the “story itself is correct” but that the headline is “wrong.”

An Associated Press spokesperson told Fox News that it “stands by its story.”

“I do not know what is on the form until we see it. I filed a sexual harassment complaint and included retaliation,” Reade said.

Reade said she told The AP that she had filed an “intake form” regarding sexual harassment but did not disclose the alleged sexual assault in the complaint.

“I asked AP to retract [the] headline,” Reade told Fox News.

BIDEN DODGES QUESTION ON WHETHER HE REMEMBERS TARA READE

On Saturday evening, The AP changed its headline to “Reade: ‘I didn’t use sexual harassment’ in Biden complaint.”

“The headline of this story was changed for clarity and to incorporate a direct quote from Reade,” an editor’s note read at the bottom of the article.

However, Reade told Fox News that it’s “still incorrect” and “misleading.”

“They’re standing by the fact… that I said I don’t think I used the term ‘sexual harassment.’ We didn’t use it as much back in 1993, so I don’t know but that’s not to say that there isn’t a box that I didn’t check. Until we get that form, we don’t know,” Reade explained.

After Fox News reached out to The AP over its initial headline, a spokesperson pointed to the editor’s note placed in the article.

On Friday, Biden finally broke his silence about 1993 allegations made by Reade, telling MSNBC the sexual harassment and assault claims “never happened.”

Some of Biden’s defenders shared the original headline Saturday, including Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin, who claimed that Reade was becoming “less credible by the moment.”
