Lawrence Jones reacts to racist comments at ‘Impeach Trump’ rally: ‘This is who these people are’

Two men who hurled racial taunts at Fox News contributor Lawrence Jones reveal the true sentiments of some on the left, he said.

Jones told Sean Hannity on “Hannity” that many conservatives are wrongfully construed as hateful and discriminatory, and the media will likely ignore the New York City ncident.

“This is who they are, Sean,” the Campus Reform editor-in-chief claimed. “So often those of us on the right are painted as the racist people, the hateful people,” he said.

“I was just asking these people a simple question about if they felt like the president should be impeached or not.”

FOX NEWS CONTRIBUTOR LAWRENCE JONES FACES RACIST TAUNTS FROM PROTESTERS AT ‘IMPEACH TRUMP’ RALLY

Jones interviewed demonstrators at a Saturday rally at Foley Square, near City Hall, and received a wide range of answers.

One demonstrator claimed President Trump was, “an illegal president… in cahoots with the Russians,” while another praised the president.

However, according to a Fox News producer at the scene, two men walked up to Jones near the end of the rally and told him to go back to Fox News, “where there’s more cotton for you to pick.”

With Jones’ camera rolling, the man confronted by the producer, wearing a gray shirt, turned his back to the camera and made an obscene gesture. The second man, wearing a red shirt, told Jones: “He’ll tell you to go back to Kenya next.”

Jones reiterated he was not fazed by the taunts.

“This is who these people are, but I doubt many people in the media are going to condemn these people,” he said.

“I’m going to expose it every single day. If they think I’ll stand down because they yelled obscene things, to me they have another thing coming.”

Fox News’ Samuel Chamberlain contributed to this report.

Fox News @ Night anchor Shannon Bream previewed the major rulings that could come down soon as the Supreme Court ends its current term.

In a report for “America’s Newsroom,” Bream said Monday that the two justices appointed by President Trump, Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch, have already shown independence with some of their rulings.

For instance, Gorsuch joined in dissent with Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on a case Monday, Bream noted.

“They’ve both shown that on specific, individual cases, they’re not unwilling to break with the expected outcome,” said Bream.

She reported that the court declined to rule on whether an Oregon baker can refuse on religious grounds to design a cake for a same-sex wedding. The justices decided to send the case back to a lower court for further consideration.

The business, Sweetcakes by Melissa, was fined $135,000 for refusing service to a lesbian couple.

Bream noted that another similar case involving a Washington florist named Barronelle Stutzman is also awaiting the high court’s ruling.

She said that eventually, the court will have to decide one of these cases on the merits.

“It seems the court is going to have to take one of these cases in the next year or two, but for today they’re saying they’re not going to,” she explained.

Funny guy James “Murr” Murray is once again taking his talents from television to print, releasing a new sci-fi thriller.

During a Monday appearance on “Fox & Friends,” Murray discussed his new book, ‘The Brink: An Awakened Novel,’ and how it contrasts with his day job as one of the core four members of ‘Impractical Jokers,’ a hidden camera reality series on truTV.

On the show, Murray and his three longtime friends complete a serious of embarrassing and hilarious dares, and if they fail to do so, they get an even more cringe-worthy punishment.

“One would argue what they do to me on ‘Jokers is already horror. It’s an easy transition to write a thriller,” Murray said of his new book.

“It’s exciting, thrilling – there are Nazis in it, possible terror attacks, thwarting of villains – it’s such a great, action-packed thriller,” he continued.

J.K. ROWLING TO RELEASE 4 NEW ‘HARRY POTTER’ WORLD E-BOOKS

‘Brink’ is the follow-up to his hugely successful first book, ‘Awakened: A Novel,’ which came out last year. The second book, Murray said, takes the themes of his first book and applies them on a larger scale.

“They have to hunt down the creatures and the villain behind the whole thing on a global scale, it’s really exciting,” he said.

As part of the promotion, Murray is also offering one lucky winner an all-expenses-paid trip to New York City to spend a “night out on the town” with him.

Ron Goldman’s sister on O.J. Simpson’s Twitter debut: Maybe podcast release ‘pushed him over the edge’

On the 25th anniversary of the infamous white Bronco chase, Ron Goldman’s sister revealed Monday that she “100 percent” blames the jury for failing to convict O.J. Simpson for the murders of her brother and Nicole Brown Simpson.

Kim Goldman appeared on “Fox & Friends” to reflect on watching a suicidal O.J. Simpson being driven down a Los Angeles interstate by his best friend and former teammate Al Cowlings in June 1994. It was her family’s hope that the incident would end peacefully so that the football legend could go to trial and they could “find out what the truth was” about her brother’s death.

On her podcast, “Confronting: O.J. Simpson,’ Goldman discusses the trial with several former jurors, who she blames for the outcome of the trial.

“They were the decision makers,” she said. “And if you listen to the podcast two of the jurors tell me that we were never going to get a conviction. They believe in the conspiracy.”

KIM GOLDMAN RECALLS OJ SIMPSON CAR CHASE, COMMENTS ON GLOVES 25 YEARS ON: ‘THEY FIT!’

Goldman reflected on the day she found out her brother had been murdered while she was attending college in San Francisco. She watched the story unfold on the news before her father was notified of Ron’s death by the local coroner.

“I didn’t realize that I had watched the news earlier in the day and watched my brother being wheeled out of the crime scene,” she said.

Simpson raised eyebrows over the weekend when he created a Twitter account two days after the 25th anniversary of the murders.

O.J. SIMPSON SAYS HE WILL USE SOCIAL MEDIA TO ‘SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT’

He announced his presence on the platform by posting a grinning video in which he discussed the fact that many have been able to say whatever they’ve wanted about him for years, but he now has “got a little getting even to do.” In a matter of days, he’s accumulated more than 600,000 followers.

Kim Goldman told “Fox & Friends” hosts that she wonders if the announcement of her podcast triggered O.J., just as the release of the book “If I Did It” did in 2007. She recalled that the day the book was originally published, Simpson committed armed robbery in Las Vegas for which he spent nine years in jail.

“I find it kind of disgraceful that on the observation of Ron and Nicole’s death that’s the day he chooses to go online and say he is going to get even,” she said.

McConnell says he’ll bring up ‘freestanding’ bill to address humanitarian crisis at border: ‘What’s the objection?’

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said on “Fox & Friends” Monday that Democrats have been less helpful than Mexico when it comes to addressing the border crisis.

In response, he said he will bring up a “freestanding” bill next week to commit roughly $5 billion to address the humanitarian part of the crisis.

McConnell, R-Ky., said the money was supposed to be included in a recent bill to provide emergency funds to areas hit by storms, but the Democrats insisted the funds be removed.

PELOSI ACCUSES REPUBLICANS OF TOLERATING TRUMP’S UNETHICAL BEHAVIOR FOR ‘MONEY’

“I’m going to bring it up freestanding next week and see if they really aren’t interested in dealing with this mass of humanity that we have to take care of at the border. What’s the objection? he asked.

He stressed that the bill would focus on the humanitarian issues, not President Trump’s border wall, which is vigorously opposed by Democrats.

“I think it’s safe to say the president is getting more cooperation out of Mexico than he is out of congressional Democrats,” said McConnell.

He said Democrats are “suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome” and whatever he supports, they will “reflexively” oppose.

“We want to build a wall. We think the president has made a good case for that. That’s not what this is about. This is just the humanitarian part of the problem on our side of the border,” he said.

McConnell also responded to comedian Jon Stewart, who accused him on “Fox News Sunday” of failing to prioritize the continued funding of the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund.

McConnell responded to the clip by stressing that the Senate has “never failed” to address the issue, adding “I’m not sure why he’s all bent out of shape.”

Rep. Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill., told Fox News on Sunday he would have ordered military strikes against Iran in response to mine attacks on two oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman last week, but added that President Trump was not wrong to hold off on ordering such action so far.

“I think it needs to be clear, and hopefully it is clear to Iran, that basically, this is it,” Kinzinger said on “America’s News HQ.” “This is about the extent of what we’ll accept. This is the sixth tanker they’ve damaged, plus the fact that a quarter of American troops killed in Iraq were killed by Iran, and there’s a point at which we’ve had enough.”

Kinzinger, a lieutenant colonel in the Wisconsin Air National Guard, said any military response would have to be “a little above proportional” and would have to involve “taking out some of their [Iran’s] military infrastructure, their fast boat infrastructure, their ability to mine this area and also maybe surface-to-air missile sites.”

IRAN TRIED TO SHOOT DOWN US DRONE THAT ARRIVED ON SCENE OF OIL TANKER ATTACKS, OFFICIALS SAY

A senior U.S. official told Fox News this weekend that the Iranians fired on an American MQ9 Reaper drone shortly after the aircraft arrived at the scene of the tanker explosion Thursday. Fox News also has learned Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen shot down a second U.S. drone in recent days.

EUROPEANS SKEPTICAL OF WHITE HOUSE CLAIM IRAN TO BLAME FOR TANKER ATTACK

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told “Fox News Sunday” that there was “no doubt” the explosions were the work of Iranian forces.

“These were attacks by The Islamic Republic of Iran on commercial shipping, on the freedom of navigation, with a clear intent to deny transit through the Strait [of Hormuz],” Pompeo said. “The intelligence community has lots of data, lots of evidence — the world will come to see much of it. But the American people should rest assured we have high confidence with respect to who conducted these attacks as well as half a dozen other attacks throughout the world over the past 40 days.”

Iran has denied being involved in the attacks and accused America of promoting an “Iranophobic” campaign against it.

Kinzinger described Iran as “a weak country that, because of the reimplementation of sanctions and the pulling out [by the Trump administration] of the Iran nuclear deal, is now lashing out.

“Look, strong, confident countries don’t attach mines to innocent ships, and that’s what they’re doing.”

Trump’s admiration for ‘slaveowner’ Jackson halted Tubman $20 bill, CNN host suggests

CNN anchor Don Lemon heavily implied Friday night that President Trump halted plans for placing abolitionist Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill by expressing admiration for “slaveowner” President Andrew Jackson, the current face on the currency.

On his “CNN Tonight” telecast, Lemon played a video clip of then-candidate Trump saying that he’d “love” to leave Jackson on the $20 bill and suggesting that Tubman could instead go on the $2 bill, calling the Obama-era Tubman plan “pure political correctness.”

But Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin told Congress last month that the Tubman bill is being delayed until at least 2026 due to security concerns.

Lemon on Friday accused Mnuchin of giving a “misleading excuse” to Congress after a New York Times report revealed that a Tubman bill was well underway and that security features were likely already addressed.

“What does it say about this administration that it went through all of this to avoid giving an African-American hero, a symbol of the fight against slavery, even a token acknowledgment?” Lemon concluded.

Some students and faculty at Oberlin College had launched a boycott against Gibson’s Bakery, allegedly accusing a bakery employee of racism after some black teens were suspected of shoplifting.
