Mark Levin said Thursday on “Hannity” that the Democratic Party has become a “cabal” that is trying to “reverse the 2016 election,” adding that they continue to demand President Trump’s tax returns, but do not make similar requests of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif.

Levin called Pelosi a “barely coherent” leader and noted that her husband Paul’s real estate investments have helped make the family “very very rich.”

Levin compared demands for fellow developer Trump’s tax returns and bank account information to the silence over the Pelosis’ holdings.

“I’d like to know about all their connections [and] how they got so rich,” he said.

Regarding the Democrats’ continued investigations into other aspects of the president, Levin said the answers are quite simple.

“The Democratic Party has hijacked the House of Representatives,” he said. “This is an opposition research campaign.”

Levin said that Democrats will impeach Trump if they are ever able to, but thus far are content to attempt to drive down his popularity to make impeachment more attractive.

“They create the conflicts, they create the issues,” he said. “This is a Democrat Party cabal trying to reverse the 2016 election [and] disenfranchise [Trump’s] voters.”

Levin said that the leaders of the movement are three leaders from very liberal, “blue cities.”

He referenced Pelosi, of San Francisco, House Oversight Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings of Baltimore and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler of Manhattan.

He said that such politics are an attempt to “change the course of this country.”

Lara Trump, 2020 Trump campaign senior adviser and the president’s daughter-in-law, said Thursday that trying to coerce Donald Trump Jr., to testify again before the Senate or putting him in jail “is not going to make Hillary Clinton the president of the United States.”

“This is over,” Ms. Trump said on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” regarding the Mueller probe and whether President Trump colluded with Russia.

She said that Trump Jr. testified for many hours last year before the Senate Intelligence Committee, which issued the subpoena Thursday.

Trump noted that other Republicans were upset that the chairman, Sen. Richard Burr, R-N.C., would take such action as a member of their own party.

WATTERS: DEMS, MEDIA IN ‘FULL MELTDOWN MODE’ OVER BARR BEING HELD IN CONTEMPT OF CONGRESS

“This is a genuinely baffling story,” she said.

Carlson noted that Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., said that if Trump Jr. does not comply with the subpoena, “he ought to be put in jail” and that “prison is the only answer.”

“We know [collusion] did not happen,” Trump said. “Whatever they’re going to do is not going to change that. It’s not going to make Hillary Clinton the president of the United States like I know they all wanted so badly for so long.”

Trump, who is originally from Wilmington, N.C., said she was “shocked and appalled” that a Republican from her home state would be the one to subpoena her brother-in-law.

“This is harassment of our family, harassment of the president,” she said of the entire situation.

Jesse Watters pointed to several members of the media and the Democratic Party he said were going into “meltdown mode” over Attorney General William Barr’s refusal to turn over the full and unredacted Mueller report to Congress.

The House Judiciary Committee voted Wednesday to hold Barr in contempt of Congress.

“So now, Democrats and the media are debuting a coordinated talking point to describe it – talk about collusion,” Watters said.

Watters said that several figures all used the phrase “constitutional crisis” to describe the White House’s refusal to date.

REPORTER’S NOTEBOOK: ROCKY HISTORY OF CONTEMPT EFFORTS IN CONGRESS

House Judiciary Committe Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta, CNN prime-time host Don Lemon and Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, all uttered the phrase in Watters’ montage.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., also responded in the affirmative when CNN host Anderson Cooper asked him whether he agreed with Nadler that America is experiencing a “constitutional crisis.”

“That’s what they’re saying now. But, back in 2012, Democrats and the media were singing a much different tune,” Watters said.

He said that some Democrats walked out of a vote to hold then-Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt, in connection with the so-called “Fast and Furious” scandal.

Current House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., ripped the Holder proceedings at the time, and fellow Democratic Rep. Elijah Cummings of Maryland blasted Republicans, saying they “seem almost giddy about this vote.”

Cummings went on to call the situation in 2012 an “election-year witch hunt.”

“Let’s take a trip down Memory Lane,” Watters said, listing past presidents from both parties who have had their administrations subject to similar proceedings.

He mentioned the George W. Bush administration, in which White House Counsel Harriet Miers and Chief of Staff Joshua Bolten were held in contempt in 2007 over the alleged politicization of some U.S. attorneys.

Bill Richardson, onetime U.S ambassador to the U.N., reacted Thursday to reports that North Korea had test-fired two short-range missiles, saying, “right now things are not looking good, but it’s not a hapless situation.”

Speaking on “America’s Newsroom,” Richardson said he is “concerned” adding, “The North Koreans are being provocative, but at the same time they’re not closing the door on negotiations.”

North Korea fired the missiles on Thursday, according to South Korean military; the U.S. responded with an intercontinental ballistic missile test of its own just 10 minutes later. The U.S. insisted the timing of its test was “entirely coincidental.”

NORTH KOREA FIRES 2 SHORT-RANGE MISSILES, 5 DAYS AFTER PREVIOUS LAUNCH; US TESTS LONG-RANGE MISSILE WITHIN 10 MINUTES

North Korea’s launch, the second such move in less than a week, occurred around 4:30 p.m. local time from the North’s Sino-ri missile base, the South’s joint chiefs of staff said in a statement. The base is some 130 miles north of the border with South Korea. The missiles flew 260 and 170 miles, respectively, according to South Korean military officials.

“They’re saying, ‘Hey, we’re still around,’” Richardson said. “These are short-range rockets. They don’t endanger necessarily Japan. They don’t violate the pledge that Kim Jong Un gave to the president about testing long-range missiles, nuclear missiles.

“So what they’re saying is, ‘Look, you have to come to the table with our position,’ which is, ‘We’re not going to denuclearize and we want sanctions relief.'”

Richardson added: “Hopefully they won’t violate a pledge of nuclear long-range. If they do, I think the president is going to have to be very, very careful. I just hope the president doesn’t keep saying: ‘Kim Jong Un is with me, I’m with him.’

“Just cool down. Let the negotiators do the talking.”

When asked if he thinks Russian President Vladimir Putin encouraged Kim on this front, especially given that the two leaders met a couple of weeks before Richardson answered, “Putin is clearly helping Kim Jong Un.”

“Putin can’t give him money but maybe he’s giving him a little technology. Maybe Putin is helping him violate sanctions on the Russian border a bit.”

“You know, Putin is just not helping us period in Syria, in Iraq, with Iran. He’s not helping us with North Korea. So yeah, I bet you Putin said, ‘Look, we’ll help you,’” Richardson added.

“What we don’t want Putin to do is at the U.N. with China team up to weaken sanctions, which have really brought Kim Jong Un to the table. That’s where we don’t want Putin messing around.”

WATCH: FIRST B-52 BOMBERS DEPART FOR MIDDLE EAST TO DETER IRAN

Richardson also weighed in on the situation with Iran, saying, the relationship between Iran and the United States is “deteriorating considerably.”

He made the comment the day after Iran threatened to enrich its uranium stockpile closer to weapons-grade levels in 60 days if world powers fail to negotiate new terms for its 2015 nuclear deal. That has elevated regional tensions, with a U.S. aircraft carrier and bombers headed to the Middle East.

“I disagreed with getting out of the nuclear deal,” Richardson said, referring to President Trump’s decision to withdraw the U.S. from the nuclear pact with Iran. “But at the same time, Iran keeps helping terrorist groups, helping Assad in Syria, you know messing around in Yemen. They’re not our friends.”

“But what I worry about is, we have a window of about 60 days maybe for some third-party negotiations so Iran doesn’t enrich uranium, which it said it’s going to do within 60 days, and secondly start up another nuclear reactor that is geared to nuclear weapons and not nuclear power. So things are not good.”

Former Bush DOJ official says GOP call for Don Jr. to testify is ‘intriguing’

Former deputy attorney general Tom Dupree said Thursday that it was “intriguing” to hear that a Senate committee controlled by Republicans is demanding that Donald Trump Jr. return to testify.

The Senate Intelligence Committee, chaired by Sen. Richard Burr, R-N.C., issued a subpoena to the 41-year-old real estate executive this week.

A statement from Trump Jr.’s camp slammed Burr as a “so-called Republican” and called him “too cowardly to stand up to” Vice Chairman Mark Warner, D-Va., whom the statement referred to as Burr’s apparent “boss.”

“That’s a bit intriguing,” Dupree said of the subpoena on “America’s Newsroom,” adding that until this point, the call for additional witnesses and a “follow-up to [Robert] Mueller … has been divided along partisan lines.”

Dupree said the subpoena showed that there remain some Republicans who think it may not be “case closed” in regard to the Trump-Russia investigation.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., ripped those fellow Republicans calling for Trump Jr. to return to Capitol Hill, saying in a tweet that “endless investigations by either party won’t change the fact there was NO collusion.”

“It’s time to move on,” McCarthy wrote.

Responding to the news, Trump Jr. retweeted Burr’s North Carolina counterpart, Sen. Thom Tillis, who tweeted “case closed,” and called for Congress to “move on” and work toward “real issues facing America.”

Florida Senator Rick Scott believes President Trump has the Sunshine State in the bag for 2020.

Scott, a member of the armed services committee, told “America’s Newsroom” Thursday why he thinks Trump will sweep the critical battleground state.

TRUMP, AT FLORIDA RALLY, MOCKS 2020 FIELD: ‘I WANT TO WATCH THAT ONE’ WHEN BUTTIGIEG CUTS DEALS WITH CHINA’S XI

“I think President Trump’s going to have a big win for this reason,” Scott said. “The economy’s on fire.”

The Florida senator added: “He supports the military, which is a big deal to our state. We have 20 military bases. He is focused on the things that people care about. They care about border security. If you look at what Secretary Azar is doing trying to get drug prices down. The president is doing his job and the people will reward him with a big win in 2020.”

The former governor said Trump has all the right policies for the “melting pot” of the Southeast state, including the economy, combatting Russia, keeping Americans safe, staying out of the Iran deal, and making sure disputed Venezuela President Nicolas Maduro leaves the country.

Scott’s comments come on the heels of a raucous Panama City Beach rally in which the president rallied his base and announced $448 million in hurricane recovery funds to communities affected by last year’s Category 5 Hurricane Michael.

“In the wake of the terrible storm, this extraordinary community pulled together and showed the world your unbreakable spirit,” Trump told supporters. “Today, I’m doing the most allowed by law to support the people of Florida. Because of the severity of the storm — Category 5 — we will have the federal government pay for 90 percent of the cost in many circumstances.”

Scott slammed Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer for saying Democrats care about disaster relief but failing to pass a bill.

“Ask Chuck Schumer why he doesn’t care about Florida and why he doesn’t care about the panhandle?” he said. “He is late to the game trying to say the Democrats care about Puerto Rico when they don’t.”

Scott said the United States needs to put a naval blockade on Cuba to help combat the “manmade” crisis caused by Maduro, aided by Cuba, Russia, China, Iran, and Hezbollah.

“We’ll have Syria in this hemisphere. We have all the bad players. If we don’t do it now we’ll have to do it later. Cuba is causing all the problems in Latin America,” Scott added. “We should have stopped it in the early 60s and we didn’t.”

Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner says that the city is moving toward the decriminalization of possession of small amounts of drugs,  on the grounds that often medical treatment – and not criminal charges – is the right solution.

On “Fox & Friends” Thursday, host Brian Kilmeade asked if Philadelphia puts the plan in place, becoming the first city in the nation with such a policy, would it be the right approach, or would it amount to “a free pass on possession, too easy on crime?”

Luke Niforators, chief of staff at the non-profit Smart Approaches to Marijana, or SMART, told Kilmeade he saw more harm than good in the Philadelphia plan.

“Obviously we don’t want to give people records,” Niforators said. “But by the same token, having these policies make drug use seem like it’s no big deal and is sending the wrong message to our country and [younger] generation.”

DENVER NARROWLY VOTES TO DECRIMINALIZE ‘MAGIC MUSHROOMS’

“These policies say…this is more of a medical, not really a criminal, problem. They are missing the point. It’s not either/or, we can do both,” Niforators said. “There are the drug courts. We have ways to address treatment and drug issues medically while also discouraging use and having our criminal laws.”

In a recent interview with “Axios on HBO,” Krasner said that diverting people found with small amounts of drugs to treatment or community service rather than jail ultimately would be the most fair and beneficial approach for both the user and the rest of society. In 2014, Philadelphia became the first major city in the nation to pass an ordinance allowing people with less than 30 grams, which is less an ounce, of marijuana to get just a $25 ticket.

“We are talking about people who are using drugs,” Krasner said. “The vast majority of them suffering from addiction. I do not see value in convicting people like that.”

Michael C. Barnes, chairman of the not-for-profit Center for U.S. Policy, and former counsel in the White House drug policy office under President George W. Bush, agrees with Krasner.

“This is not just decriminalization, this program would be pre-arrest diversion for people who are nonviolent or who have mental health or substance abuse disorders,” Barnes said on “Fox & Friends.” “What this means is cops on the street who actually know mental illness and substance abuse better than anybody else…have the discretion, based on their experience, to divert somebody to treatment. The crime remains the same….if it were somebody who has also committed some violent crime or is not in need of treatment.”

“We still reserve the right to file charges and sent the person to the criminal justice system,” Barnes said.

Niforators, however, remained unconvinced.

“Obviously we should have [treatment] programs,” Niforators said. “The concern on the other side…is that if we don’t have some sort of stick in place, people are going to think that drug use is no big deal…Sending a message that this is just a medical problem is not the right way to go. We have to let the public know that [drug use] should be discouraged.”

Josh Holmes, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s former chief of staff, reacted Thursday to the House panel’s recommendation to hold Attorney General William Barr in contempt dubbing it, “theater at its finest and it’s partisanship at its finest.”

Holmes made the comments on “America’s Newsroom” on Thursday, one day after House Judiciary Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., declared a “constitutional crisis” following his committee’s vote to hold the attorney general in contempt for defying a subpoena for Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s unredacted Russia report and underlying documents.

“This is an absolute embarrassment in my view for the House of Representatives,” Holmes said.

NADLER ONCE CALLED HOLDER CONTEMPT VOTE ‘SHAMEFUL,’ NOW LEADS CHARGE AGAINST BARR

Holmes also referenced Nadler’s tweet from 2012 where Nadler slammed House Republicans for holding the attorney general at the time, Eric Holder, in contempt, calling it a “hypocrisy.”

In 2012, House Republicans took the same step against then-AG Holder for refusing to hand over documents related to the Fast and Furious gun-running scandal, where Department of Justice officials tracked thousands of guns smuggled across the border but did nothing to stop them.

“Just joined the #walkout of the House chamber to protest the shameful, politically-motivated GOP vote holding AG [Eric] Holder in contempt,” Nadler tweeted in 2012.

He joined more than 100 Democrats in walking out over the vote to hold the Obama-era DOJ leader in contempt.

“I think the biggest part about Jerry Nadler is that he has full, unredacted access to the Mueller report. In fact, he can see the entire thing and he has not availed himself of that opportunity,” Holmes said in response.

“If his true motive here is to try to get the facts and try to understand what Mueller has reported you would think at a bare minimum you would read the report that’s already available before you would start having these circus hearings and trying to hold the attorney general in contempt.”

DONALD TRUMP JR. SUBPOENAED BY SENATE INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE, SOURCE SAYS

Holmes also discussed President Trump’s rally in battleground Florida the night before saying, “The campaign has started and I think it looks OK here at the beginning for President Trump.”

He added, “I think there’s a good golden rule of politics, the candidate who looks like he’s having the most fun is usually the one that’s winning.”

“And the contrast there for President Trump at his rally last night in Florida, I mean everybody seemed to be having a lot of fun, and you can contrast that with how these 2020ers have been marching around the country in this sort of dour mood, full of negativity.”

Regarding Trump’s rallies, Holmes said they are “the first entertaining rallies in the history of politics,” adding that “nobody does it better than President Trump.”

“Mostly these things are pretty dry and it’s all about speaking to the partisans but I mean I think most people can watch this and be entertained one way or another.”

Fox News Senior Judicial Analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano pushed back on Democrat claims of a “constitutional crisis,” saying instead there is just a “clash.”

Napolitano made the comments on “Fox & Friends” Thursday in response to House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., declaring a “constitutional crisis” on Wednesday after his committee voted to hold Attorney General William Barr in contempt for defying a subpoena for Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s unredacted Russia report and underlying documents.

“By law the attorney general did the right thing with respect to the redaction. But when you get a subpoena, which is presumed valid even if it’s politically motivated it’s presumed valid, it’s a legal instrument, you can’t sit on it,” Napolitano said Thursday.

NADLER DECLARES ‘CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS’ AFTER CONTEMPT VOTE, ACCUSES TRUMP OF ATTACKING ‘ESSENCE OF OUR DEMOCRACY’

“If you can’t comply with it, you file a motion before the appropriate judge to quash it, that’s the word we use, meaning either get rid of it, modify it or authorize me to comply with it.”

Nadler’s committee voted along partisan lines to hold Barr in contempt on Wednesday and angered the White House by not delaying the vote. At the same time, the president invoked executive privilege — refusing to comply with Congressional subpoenas.

Nadler accused the White House of “stonewalling” the American people and attacking “the essence of our democracy.”

Barr was set to testify before the House panel earlier this month, following his remarks before the Senate, but pulled out after Democrats insisted committee staff, rather than members of Congress, be allowed to ask the questions.

“That’s the mistake, I think, the DOJ made by not doing that and letting it get to this contempt stage,” Napolitano said. “If they had brought it before a judge, the judge would have said, ‘You know, I’m going to read the redacted portions and I’ll decide what can be released,’ and then the issue is over with because the judge’s ruling would stand. Whoever lost would appeal. Who knows if they would even take the appeal, if it would get to the Supreme Court.”

JUDGE ANDREW NAPOLITANO: DID PRESIDENT TRUMP OBSTRUCT JUSTICE?

Nadler also compared Trump to former President Richard Nixon on Wednesday in that both refused to release information by citing executive privilege.

Nadler recalled the Supreme Court decision forcing Nixon to hand over tapes of his private conversations with advisers, which he said were the “most sensitive to executive privilege.”

“This is what happened in the United States vs. Nixon and the Supreme Court ruled with clarity,” Napolitano said on Thursday.

“Do we have a constitutional crisis in my opinion? We don’t. We would have a constitutional crisis if the courts ordered the president or the Congress to do something and either of them defied the courts. That’s the crisis. Right now it’s just a clash.”

CNN Tonight” anchor Don Lemon seemed to board the impeachment train Wednesday, predicting that Democratic lawmakers will actually go after President Trump and suggesting it could be the “remedy” for what some Democrats have called a “constitutional crisis.”

“Ever wonder what a constitutional crisis looks like? Well, open your eyes,” Lemon began his monologue, echoing the declaration of House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y. “The president of the United States is just blowing right through our system of checks and balances, the very thing that is supposed to keep our Congress, the Judicary, and the Executive Branch working, which means our country working. He is engaging in an ongoing coverup by defying at every turn the representatives of you, the American people, the very people who are supposed to be investigating fact-finding on our behalf.”

Lemon then interviewed Nadler about his committee’s vote to hold Attorney General William Barr in contempt for allegedly failing to comply with their requests regarding further disclosure of the Mueller report and asked what was the “remedy” to a constitutional crisis.

“Well, we don’t exactly know what the remedy to [a] constitutional crisis [is,] other than the application of law,” Nadler responded before listing all the ways he believed the Trump administration was being “lawless.”

“Why is that remedy not impeachment?” Lemon asked.

“It may come to that if the president keeps up with this conduct, but we’ll see,” Nadler answered.

During a panel discussion, Lemon congratulated himself for predicting that Democrats would eventually pursue impeachment.

“I hate to pat myself on the back, but I’ve said since pretty early on — a couple of weeks ago — it appears that … the ball is rolling toward impeachment, that the Democrats have no other choice and do this,” Lemon said. “They either ignore the rule of law or — because then they too may look like they’re allowing the president to just run roughshod over them and over the Constitution.”

“How can Democrats like Nadler say that this is a constitutional crisis, but then not use the tool they have to stop a constitutional crisis?” Lemon later asked.

Lemon later clarified that he thought the “momentum” was heading toward impeachment but did not specifically predict that Democrats would be successful.
