Eric Trump appeared on “Hannity” Thursday and called Democrats attacking his father “deranged” and dismissed the 2020 Democratic presidential field as “weak.”

“They don’t have any leaders out there. These candidates all look very weak to me, I welcome running against, quite frankly, any of them and helping my father in every way we can,” Trump told Sean Hannity.

Trump said the Democrats “won’t let it go” with their continuous allegations against President Trump and their call for more inquiries into the Russia investigation, and that will lead his father to win in 2020.

“They are failing, Sean. They don’t have a message, they don’t have proper leadership, and I am telling you, he’s going to win this thing again.  He’s going to win this thing in 2020 because they are incredibly deranged,” Trump said

The Trump Organization executive vice-president also lashed out at Congress saying they were not doing their jobs and that the American people are “sick and tired” of it.

“This is what you get out of these people. They don’t want to work for the American people, they don’t want to do their jobs in congress. I say this as a civilian, people are sick and tired of this nonsense,” Trump said.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., vowed a “reckoning” Thursday after Attorney General Bill Barr boycotted a scheduled hearing, likening President Trump to a dictator and threatening the Justice Department leader with contempt.

Instead of Barr testifying on his handling of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report Thursday the session became bizarre, one Democrat placed a prop chicken near an empty seat meant for Barr, Rep. Steve Cohen, D-Tenn., ate a bucket of fried chicken while Democrats voiced their displeasure with Barr and the president.

“They want their legislators to actually work and do their jobs. That is why you see the approval rating of Congress is terrible. These people are incompetent,” Trump said.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo didn’t hold back Thursday when reacting to Minnesota congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s comments insinuating the U.S. was partly to blame for the political crisis in Venezuela, calling her comments “ignorant” and “disgusting.”

“So, the nicest thing I can say is it is unbelievable ignorance. It’s just factually wrong,” Pompeo said on the “Ingraham Angle.”

REP. GABBARD ON VENEZUELA: U.S. SHOULD BROKER SOLUTION WITH RUSSIA

The freshman Democratic congresswoman has been critical of the U.S.’s role in Venezuela.

“A lot of the policies that we have put in place has kind of helped lead the devastation in Venezuela and we have sort of set the stage for where we are arriving today,” Omar told “Democracy Now!” “This particular bullying and the use of sanctions to eventually intervene and make regime change really does not help the people of countries like Venezuela and it certainly does not help and is not in the interest of the United States.”

Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaidó’s called for public employees to stage strikes to put pressure on embattled President Nicolas Maduro but streets remained calm after two days of clashing.

Pompeo blamed Venezuela’s current problems on socialism.

“The problems in Venezuela have been years in the making.  It’s been a socialist regime, first with Chavez now with Maduro. The destruction of a wealthy nation. A nation with more oil reserves than any other country in the world,” Pompeo said.

The Secretary of State emphasized his displeasure with Omar’s comments and brought up that she sits on the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

“For a member of congress, who frankly, one who sits on an important national committee, making a statement blaming America first in this way, it’s not only ignorant, it’s disgusting,” Pompeo said.

Conservative commentator Mark Steyn responded Thursday to Hillary Clinton’s latest television appearance calling the former Democratic presidential nominee “a disgrace,” and blaming her for the Russia investigation because “she didn’t know how to lose.”

“Look, it isn’t funny anymore. Basically, this is the woman who is more responsible than anyone for the totally pointless and discreditable Russian investigation that destroyed your first guest’s life, [George] Papadopoulos,” Steyn said on “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

WATCH: BARR DOUBLES DOWN ON ‘SPYING’ CLAIM IN HEATED EXCHANGE

Papadopoulos, a former foreign policy adviser to President Trump, appeared on the program earlier Thursday and said an informant working for U.S. intelligence posed as a Cambridge University research assistant in September 2016 to try and “seduce” him while probing him on the campaign’s possible ties to Russia, according to a new report.

The former adviser served 12 days in prison for lying to investigators.

Clinton appeared on MSNBC’s “Rachel Maddow Show” Wednesday where she ripped Attorney General William Barr and vented her frustration with Special Counsel Mueller’s Russia investigation.

Steyn chastised Clinton for being unable to lose and criticized Democratic strategist Richard Goodstein, who also appeared earlier in the show, for brushing off Papadopoulos’ situation.

“We now know Donald Trump invited the Russians to help and they did and it benefited him. I am troubled that no one in the administration is as upset about that as they are about Carter Page and George Papadopoulos,” Goldstein argued earlier.

“It was her refusal to lose gracefully that in fact enabled this last disgusting two years in which the losing party’s man on the inside have conducted an investigation into the duly elected president. It is quite disgraceful. She is quite disgraceful. To listen to your friend, Richard Goodstein — I like Richard, but for him, laughing at what happened, George Papadopoulos landed in Washington, and the FBI put him in shackles — shackles — for doing nothing, and that is all on Hillary, because she didn’t know how to lose. Because Clinton’s shouldn’t lose,” Steyn said.

Stephen Moore, who recently withdrew himself from consideration as President Trump’s pick for the Federal Reserve Board, said on Thursday he was doomed as a candidate from the beginning because of his conservative leaning views on the economy.

Moore, appearing on Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Tonight, said that he was the subject of personal attacks by left because of his views on economic policy, which he said was never the subject of debate during his consideration.

“The left understood from the first couple of days, because they did surveys of the senators and the Republicans senators loved my economic views and so on, and that’s when they launched this character assassination,” he said speaking to host Tucker Carlson.

TRUMP’S PICK FOR FED BOARD SAYS HE REGRETS JOKE ABOUT OBAMAS: ‘I SHOULDN’T HAVE SAID IT

“The most amazing thing, The Washington Post, The New York Times, CNN, they got my divorce settlement from 10 years ago unsealed so that they could just put all of this dirt on me that had nothing to do with my qualifications to be on the fed.”

Moore came under intense scrutiny last week for his past writings that appeared to disparage women and offensive remarks about the Obamas but on Thursday he seemed to accept responsibility for what he called “stupidity.”

“I’m not playing the victim here because the truth is I have said a lot. I have a two mile long paper trail, I’ve given 500 speeches and written a lot of article and i’ve said things are impolitic.”

“Some of things I’ve said are stupid, I wish there were a statute of limitations on stupidity because some of these things were 20 – 25 years old.”

Moore also took aim at his former employer CNN for their coverage.

“Well this is a little awkward for CNN because every night they trash me now when for the last two and a half years I’ve been their senior economics writer and the things they’re talking about now are things that happened 20 years ago. What a minute, if I’m such a scoundral and sextist, why did they have me on every night?”

Moore said he was excited about the prospect of working with Trump but now feels “bummed out.”

“I hate quitting. I’m not a quitter, so I’m sad about that.

Rep. Doug Collins, R-Ga., on Thursday accused Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, of running a “circus” and unfairly maligning Attorney General William Barr over Democrats’ dissatisfaction with the controversial Mueller report.

“I will absolutely tell you, the chairman of our committee is doing nothing but a circus run of making Bill Barr be now the straw man, the bogeyman if you would,” said Collins, GOP ranking member on the committee. “Because all of their dreams fell apart when Mueller came out and there was no collusion by anyone, there was no charge of obstruction, their dreams of impeachment died. So now they are in panic mode.”

BARR VOWS TO ‘RECONSTRUCT’ ORIGINS OF RUSSIA PROBE, LEARN EXTENT OF FBI SURVEILLANCE

Nadler vowed a “reckoning” Thursday after Barr skipped a scheduled hearing, and he threatened the Justice Department leader with a citation for contempt.

Nadler spoke at what was slated to be a hearing for Barr to testify on his handling of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report on Russian meddling in the 2016 elections.

Barr, who testified for hours on the same topic Wednesday in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee, did not show up amid a disagreement over the terms for his appearance before the influential House panel.

Collins said that Democrats are making Barr the “bad guy” unfairly.

“So, if Mueller is still the gold standard they are holding onto, then someone has to be the bad guy, and Bill Barr, who has answered every one of their questions, who has done everything they were supposed to do — they are making him out to be the bad guy.”

The former governor of New Mexico, Susana Martinez, on Thursday urged Congress to put political affiliations aside and act on the humanitarian and security crisis on the U.S.-Mexico border.

“Set aside that they’re Republicans or Democrats and view this as something as serious as it is. And solve it,” Martinez said on “Your World with Neil Cavuto.” “Then the American people would again have faith in their government. But right now, there just isn’t the confidence that Congress will do the right thing.”

HOMELAND SECURITY TO LAUNCH PILOT PROGRAM OF DNA TESTING AT BORDER

President Trump requested $4.5 billion in emergency funds this week to deal with the humanitarian crisis on the border and deal with an influx of illegal immigrants and asylum seekers.

Martinez made it clear that the security and humanitarian aspects need to be tackled at the same time, lest the U.S. invite more chaos.

“You cannot address one issue, which is the humanitarian crisis, without dealing with the security crisis as well. Because all you’re going to do is continue to invite people from all over the world. I think that’s what Americans need to understand. Illegal immigrants are coming from all over the world and they are coming through the path of least resistance, which is the border between the United States and Mexico,” Martinez said.

The former governor preached urgency and argued that illegal immigrants should not be permitted to leave processing centers.

“I think Congress needs to understand there’s no time to waste anymore. We cannot wait for courts to continue to make decisions and lawsuits to continue to be filed,” Martinez said.

Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh lambasted former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton on Thursday for saying the Mueller report proved that Russians cost her the 2016 presidential election.

“What I learned is that the Russians were successful. I don’t think there’s any way to read that report and not conclude they accomplished what they set out to do.  They had an objective to sow discord and divisiveness within our society at large, and to help Donald Trump. And they succeeded,” Clinton said Thursday on MSNBC’s “Rachel Maddow Show.”

MADDOW FAILS TO ASK HILLARY CLINTON ABOUT OBAMA ADMINISTRATION’S REACTION TO RUSSIAN INTERFERANCE

Clinton told  Maddow she was disappointed that the Mueller report did not investigate “whether or not the Russian active measures actually changed votes or affected the outcome.”

“And then we learned that the former secretary of the Department of Homeland Security is ordered not to talk about election interference in front of Trump.  And then we learn that there is no concerted effort going on anywhere in our government to try to understand what it means that, for example, at least one county in Florida was breached, but not only that, the network of election machinery in one area. What does all that mean?”

Limbaugh, in his retort, accused Clinton of pushing a false narrative.

“Ladies and gentlemen, here is the Hildebeast now claiming that Russian collusion affected votes, changed the outcome of elections, affected voting machines. Mueller never asserted this. In every indictment of so-called Russian troll farms, it was announced that no American was involved, no vote was changed, the outcome of no election was affected in every indictment that Mueller handed down about these Russian troll farms,” Limbaugh said.

The radio host brought up the Christopher Steele dossier, allegedy paid for by Clinton associates, and noted he found her concerns “ironic.”

“I find it ironic as hell that the woman worried about what the Russians were doing was the one who paid them to tamper with the election,” he declared.

Fox News senior political analyst Brit Hume said on “America’s Newsroom” on Thursday that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi “doesn’t want all the oxygen in Washington and in politics to be consumed by the fight over the Mueller report and the failed effort to prove collusion with the Russians.”

He made the comments shortly after Pelosi, D-Calif., alleged Thursday that Attorney General William Barr had “lied to Congress” and reportedly told colleagues in a closed-door meeting that he committed a crime — prompting a fiery rebuke from the Justice Department.

Pelosi addressed the issue publicly during a press conference, hedging a bit on the question of whether he committed a crime with his prior testimony.

“He lied to Congress. And if anybody else did that, it would be considered a crime,” she told reporters. “Nobody is above the law. Not the president of the United States. Not the attorney general.”

PELOSI SAYS BARR ‘LIED TO CONGRESS’ AND COMMITTED A CRIME, AS DOJ BLASTS ‘RECKLESS’ COMMENTS

“It is interesting to see what she’s trying to do there because she doesn’t want all the oxygen in Washington and in politics to be consumed by the fight over the Mueller report and the failed effort to prove collusion with the Russians,” Hume said in response.

“So she tried to weave into her discussion, as you saw there, to connect all this to the legislative agenda that Democrats are pushing through the House, knowing full well that most of it’s probably going nowhere in the Senate.”

Pelosi’s comments came as Barr opted not to take part in a scheduled House Judiciary Committee hearing on Thursday. Barr objected after Democrats decided that their committee staff, rather than only members of Congress, would question him on his handling of the Mueller report. Justice Department officials said members should conduct the questioning and said it was unclear why Democrats did not propose having staffers simply provide questions to the members during the hearing.

“Do the Democrats really want to go to the voters, in what, less than a year and a half’s time now, and have nothing to show for the last year and a half but fighting about — over William Barr and subpoenas and testimony and the Mueller report and all that and the prospect of impeachment?” Hume asked.

“Or do they want to be able to go and say: ‘Look at the agenda we’ve laid out for you, America. We’ve passed as much of it as we can and the nasty, old Republicans in the Senate are blocking it,’ which is likely to be a more appealing message than impeach, indict, subpoena, and fight,” Hume continued.

Also on Thursday, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., slammed Barr and said he has “failed” to do his job.

“He has failed to check the president’s worst instincts. He has not only misrepresented the findings of the special counsel, he has failed to protect the special counsel’s investigation from unfair political attacks,” Nadler said. “He has, himself, unfairly attacked the special counsel investigation. He has failed the men and women of the Department of Justice by placing the needs of the president over the fair administration of justice. He has even failed to show up here today.”

NADLER LIKENS TRUMP TO ‘DICTATOR,’ THREATENS BARR WITH CONTEMPT AFTER HEARING BOYCOTT

Nadler lashed out at both Barr and President Trump, who has vowed to fight all subpoenas amid an escalating confrontation with Congress over an array of investigations. Barr himself has not been subpoenaed, and it’s unclear whether Democrats might take that step, but his DOJ has refused to comply with a subpoena for the full Mueller report.

Nadler also said Thursday that the committee will “have no choice but to move quickly to hold the attorney general in contempt if he stalls or fails to negotiate in good faith” on the release of the report and other documents congressional Democrats have requested and subpoenaed.

When asked how he expects Pelosi and other Democrats to proceed Hume answered, “She’s going to leave it up to the committees, it sounds like.”

“Nadler is hell-bent and he will probably either make a move to hold the attorney general in contempt but we’ve seen that show before. [Former U.S. Attorney General] Eric Holder was held in contempt and it affected him, other than maybe a note in his Wikipedia entry, almost not at all,” Hume said.

He added, “We’re at daggers drawn here and it makes good copy, it absorbs all the news space, and it doesn’t look like Pelosi wants to put a stop to it — so here we are.”

Karl Rove: Impeachment push puts Dems at odds with independents before 2020

Fox News political contributor Karl Rove said Thursday that if Democrats continue pushing impeachment proceedings for President Trump, they could alienate a vital voting demographic they need to capture in 2020.

“It puts them at odds with the independents who are going to end up deciding the 2020 election,” Rove said while appearing on “The Daily Briefing.”

“What happens if we have 12 or 13 months and the Democrats talk about investigation and impeachment and the support for that among independents continues to drop?” he asked.

Some Democrats have reacted to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report, released in April, by calling for impeachment proceedings. Scrutiny around that report seemed to mount as Attorney General William Barr testified before the Senate on Wednesday, and many suggested Barr refused to act as an impartial arbiter in the matter.

MUELLER REPORT IGNITES NEW DEM BATTLE OVER IMPEACHMENT

Although some Democrats have called for impeachment, polling has revealed that independents largely oppose that. Rove cited post-Mueller report polls which showed both a drop in independents’ support for impeachment and more independent opposition to such a move.

Rove also told Fox News host Dana Perino that Trump should avoid the issue and focus on his economic record. “Let the Democrats spend the time talking about an investigation and impeachment,” he said.

“He doesn’t need to spend a lot of time talking about that. There are lots of natural allies and increasingly a lot of natural resistance among independents.”

Democrats have also faced resistance within their own party as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., repeatedly threw cold water on the idea. “We’re not there yet,” she said in April.

Florida Republican Rep. Mike Waltz weighed in Thursday on the possibility of U.S. military action in Venezuela, saying it would take the form of “a supporting” role and “a logistics effort.”

Waltz, a member of the House Armed Services Committee, made the comment on “America’s Newsroom,” a day after Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told FOX Business that military action is on the table in Venezuela.

“The president has been crystal clear and incredibly consistent: Military action is possible if that’s what’s required, that’s what the United States will do,” Pompeo told Fox Business’ Maria Bartiromo on Wednesday.

He added, “We’re trying to do everything we can to avoid violence.”

TRUMP ADMINISTRATION DECLARES SUPPORT FOR VENEZUELA UPRISING AGAINST MADURO: ‘WE ARE WITH YOU!’

Meanwhile, Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaidó has said he and his supporters are determined to recover their freedom; on Thursday he said he hoped public employees would stage strikes to put pressure on embattled President Nicolas Maduro.

Guaidó’s push for a general strike and for Venezuelans to remain in the streets – his latest moves in a fledgling attempt to drive Maduro from power — came a day after clashes between his forces and anti-government protesters left one woman dead and dozens injured.

On Thursday, Waltz said the U.S. military is now “looking at all options.”

“They’re looking at what assets they have in the region,” said Waltz, adding, “We’ve had special forces next door in Colombia for many years training the Colombian Army.”

He said the military is considering how to “pre-position ships in the region” and assist with humanitarian supplies, and is communicating with allies.

“At the end of the day, this needs to be a coalition effort,” said Waltz.

“The U.N. is a non-starter because of the Russia and China veto. I think we look to the OAS, the Organization of American States, 34 nations, and keep in mind, 50 nations have recognized the Guaidó regime.”

He added, “If we’re putting boots on the ground, they need to be regional troops and it needs to be a humanitarian effort that they are protecting.”

When asked if he thinks the window of opportunity to get Maduro out the country has passed, Waltz said: “I don’t think it’s passed and what’s important, it’s not that Maduro is stubborn, Maduro’s dictatorship is crumbling.

“What’s propping it up is the Cubans, and I’ve seen estimates ranging anywhere from 5,000 to 20,000 Cuban intelligence and security forces are on the ground. And it’s important to keep saying: ‘But why does this matter? Why does this matter to Americans and to Floridians?’”

He went on to offer a twofold explanation: “One, you have a massive refugee crisis that I think has been underreported. It’s approaching the size of what’s happened in Syria. Three million refugees are flowing into neighboring countries and destabilizing the region; meanwhile they’re going to start destabilizing Central America as well, and that will affect the United States.”

“Secondly, we have to look at what happens if Maduro doesn’t go. He has opened the door to the Chinese, he’s opened the door to the Russians. The Cubans are already there in a big way.”

“If Maduro does go,” he speculated, “I think the Castro regime is not far to follow because they shifted the Cuban regime’s dependence from the Soviet Union to Venezuela and [Hugo] Chávez, Maduro’s predecessor, a long time ago. So there’s a lot at stake here.”

ILHAN OMAR FACES BACKLASH AFTER COMPLAINING ABOUT US ‘BULLYING’ IN VENEZUELA

On “America’s Newsroom,” Waltz also criticized Rep. Ilhan Omar’s argument that President Trump’s administration could be partly to blame for the ongoing turmoil in Venezuela through “bullying” and sanctions.

“A lot of the policies that we have put in place have kind of helped lead the devastation in Venezuela and we have sort of set the stage for where we are arriving today,” Omar, D-Minn., told PBS’ “Democracy Now!” on Wednesday. “This particular bullying and the use of sanctions to eventually intervene and make regime change really does not help the people of countries like Venezuela. and it certainly does not help and is not in the interest of the United States.”

Waltz’s retort? “That’s nuts. One word, that is crazy.

“I would invite her to go down to the border and go down to Venezuela where you have rolling blackouts, people are literally starving, in formerly the richest country in South America, sitting on the world’s largest oil reserves. “And it’s not because they lack resources, it’s the absolute corruption of socialism, and it’s because that flies in the face of her and others’ narrative that that’s why they’re looking for excuses and to point the finger at others. But this is an absolute failure of socialism.”
