Counselor to President Trump Kellyanne Conway criticized House Democrats’ latest impeachment push, blasted Hillary Clinton for her recent Trump comments and weighed in on former Vice President Joe Biden’s expected announcement that he’s running for president.

Conway spoke on “America’s Newsroom” Wednesday shortly before President Trump and first lady Melania Trump headed to Atlanta to continue their efforts to combat the nation’s opioid crisis. Both headlined the 2019 Rx Drug Abuse & Heroin Summit on Wednesday.

Responding to congressional Democrats issuing subpoenas for administration officials, Conway said the president made it “very clear that there’s really no reason to comply with all these requests when we have the Mueller investigation.”

TRUMP VOWS TO FIGHT ‘ALL’ SUBPOENAS AGAISNT ADMINISTRATION, CALLS DEMAND FOR MCGAHN TESTIMONY ‘RIDICULOUS’

The subpoenas were issued after a redacted version of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report was released last week, which Democrats argue provides evidence to the contrary of Attorney General William Barr’s summary that the investigation found no evidence that President Trump obstructed justice.

“I believe too many people are invested in this investigation and they had a conclusion in search of evidence and they’re disappointed in Director Mueller, harassing he and his wife after leaving Easter services, who really wanted a different result,” said Conway on Wednesday.

“But that’s not the way our justice system works and that’s not the way prosecutions and investigations work. This was very simply when you prosecute and you investigate you either refer for indictment or you decline to refer for indictment. The rest, frankly, is a little bit gratuitous for some who are still looking and searching for a way to get the president.”

When asked if the president is willing to use executive privilege in this situation Conway answered, “possibly,” adding, “I think the Democrats have a decision to make. Are you going to talk for the rest of 2019 into 2020 about impeachment or infrastructure? About drug pricing or dragging down a president? About healthcare or Donald Trump? Trump, Trump, Trump at all times.”

She added, “They have to be honest with the people of this country whom they also represent as to whether they are serious about having bipartisan action to try to solve the problems of this nation.”

GIULIANI KNOCKS CLINTON’S TRUMP INDICTMENT CLAIMS, SAYS OLD DOJ POLICY OF ‘YOU CANNOT INDICT A CLINTON’ WILL CHANGE

On Tuesday, Hillary Clinton said, “I think there is enough there that any other person who had engaged in those acts would certainly have been indicted,” referring to the Mueller report.

In response, Conway said, “What she said apart from being irrelevant and partisan, is just wrong. That anybody else would have been indicted? The Mueller report, Mueller did not indict the president.”

“There was enormous pressure on the Mueller investigation and investigators to do what she failed to do, which is deny Donald Trump the presidency. And this woman has always blamed everybody but her, the pathetic candidate and poor campaign that she ran and was,” said Conway.

She added, “And she’s got some experience on impeachment because her husband actually was impeached by the House of Representatives. He was impeached because he lied under oath On August 17, 1998 to investigators.”

BIDEN’S 2020 CAMPAIGN LAUNCH PUSHED TO THURSDAY: SOURCES

When asked what President Trump thinks about a potential contest against Joe Biden, Conway answered, “Bring it on, bring them all on.”

Biden is expected to announce his 2020 candidacy on Thursday.

“I think Biden’s timing actually benefits him because the Democrats seem really desperate to find an alternative to Bernie Sanders, who is the clear announced frontrunner right now in the polling and on the ground. Bernie Sanders has a lot in common with Donald Trump, which is he doesn’t really care what his party thinks about his candidacy at this point in the primaries.”

She added, “The only difference between Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump is Bernie Sanders’ ideas are terrible for America and Donald Trump is a much better candidate.”

Conway said she thinks Biden will be seen as an alternative to Bernie Sanders but added, “he’s got a lot of people in his way.”

“Old, white, male career politicians like Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden is not exactly what the Democratic Party had in mind for 2020 when they’re running all these different folks who are talking about identity politics and what makes them different,” Conway said.

Fox News contributor Lawrence Jones traveled to San Francisco to witness first-hand the city’s struggle to keep its streets clean, an issue that has residents concerned about their own safety.

Jones, who debuted his investigation on “Hannity” on Tuesday night, appeared “Fox & Friends” on Wednesday morning and told hosts that within 5 minutes of exiting the camera van, he saw needles strewn about on the sidewalks. Residents also told him the sight of homeless people injecting themselves with drugs in public places is common, as is dodging piles of human waste on their way to work in the mornings.

“It’s devolved – the city has become so much worse in the last 10 years. It’s a disgrace,” one man told the Editor-in-Chief of Campus Reform.

TRUMP, AGAIN, SAYS ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS WILL BE ‘GIVEN’ TO SANCTUARY CITIES, STATES

“Our political leaders are not dealing with this and I think it’s corrupt,” another said.

One San Francisco resident says it’s normal for him to see at least 10-20 needles every day as he walks to work, and at least five to 10 pounds of feces. The worst part, he added, is the smell.

Ultimately, Jones said, the city has the money to deal with the dangerous conditions on its streets, but are funneling time and energy into sanctuary city policies. Additionally, the areas where people “who looked like the Walking Dead” from drug use weren’t in the so-called bad neighborhoods, but the upscale areas home to many of San Francisco’s biggest tech companies.

MARC THIESSEN: TRUMP IS RIGHT TO CALL OUT DEMOCRATS FOR THEIR HYPOCRISY ON SANCTUARY CITIES

“This is not just a bad area, this is a city that has, quite frankly, made this the new normal. You see people shooting up in front of the cops out there and they’re doing it because it’s allowed,” Jones said.

“They have the money to get this done if they stop focusing on issues like sanctuary cities and focus on the issues that actually affect their neighborhoods.”

Pavlich on Kamala Harris’ gun control push: ‘She’s going after the Second Amendment rights of everyday Americans’

Westlake Legal Group Kamala-Harris-2020-THUMB Pavlich on Kamala Harris’ gun control push: ‘She’s going after the Second Amendment rights of everyday Americans’ Talia Kaplan fox-news/us fox-news/topic/fox-news-flash fox-news/politics fox-news/person/kamala-harris fox news fnc/politics fnc article 168b34dc-3682-543e-8c9b-eba82209630d

Katie Pavlich has weighed in on Sen. Kamala Harris’ pledge that, if elected president, she will sign a series of executive orders on gun control if Congress fails to pass comprehensive legislation in her first 100 days in the Oval Office.

On “Fox & Friends” Wednesday, Pavlich said Harris should be more concerned with fixing the problems “that are already in the system of government not doing its job,” not with going after legal gun owners who are obeying the law.

During a town hall hosted by CNN Monday night, Harris, D-Calif, said that if a bill from Congress did not make it to her desk, she would unilaterally mandate background checks for customers purchasing a firearm from any dealer who sells more than five guns a year.

KAMALA HARRIS PLEDGES EXECUTIVE ORDER ON GUN CONTROL IF CONGRESS DOESN’T ACT IN HER FIRST 100 DAYS

Dealers who violate the law, she said, would have their licenses revoked. The other executive orders would prohibit fugitives from purchasing a firearm or weapon, as well as close the loophole that allows some domestic abusers to purchase a firearm if their victim is an unwedded partner.

“As we’ve seen in the past with Democrats and a number of other Democrats on the campaign trail now, when they say ‘common sense’ or ‘reasonable gun safety laws,’ they’re actually talking about gun bans,” Pavlich said.

“It was interesting to me to watch Kamala Harris speak more harshly of Second Amendment rights than she did about the Boston bomber voting and about felons who are in prison now. She was more willing to convict gun owners in saying ‘you don’t have the courage to actually pass gun safety laws,’ when the fact is, that it’s actually pro-gun groups and regular everyday Americans who have been at the forefront of making sure that felons don’t have guns, putting safety into their communities through education in different programs, training programs for children, to make sure that they’re not around guns.”

Pavlich added: “So when she’s proposing universal background checks, what she’s really doing is saying, that if you’re a father who wants to pass down a gun to your son you can’t do that unless you go through some kind of bureaucratic process or get a license to do so from the federal government.”

KAMALA HARRIS ADMITS ‘UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES’ IN ANTI-TRUANCY LAW WHILE SHE WAS CALIFORNIA AG

“And when she talks about gun safety laws, she’s really talking about a ban on assault weapons, which, if you look at the data, according to the Clinton Justice Department, that didn’t actually have an effect on crime, and the majority of crimes in this country that are committed with guns are committed with handguns. And so when it comes to actually addressing the issue of violent crime and firearms, she’s going after the Second Amendment rights of regular, everyday Americans. She’s not actually addressing the issue.”

Pavlich said she doesn’t think Harris’ pledge would be popular in several states.

“Gun confiscation, gun control by executive fiat, taking away the Second Amendment rights of Americans through tyrannical executive orders without any kind of due process. That doesn’t play well in places like Ohio and Michigan, even Wisconsin,” she said.

“The reason why we’re talking about gun control in a political sense is because we have seen these mass shootings which are absolutely horrific and awful but if you actually look at the facts of these cases, it is the federal government and the local government failing and they’re using Second Amendment rights and law-abiding Americans as a scapegoat for it,” said Pavlich.

“Parkland is the perfect example of that. Government failed at every single level, the local school district level, the local sheriff level, and the federal government level. When you saw the church shooting in South Carolina, Dylann Roof, he wasn’t supposed to be able to pass a background check and yet he did, he slipped through the cracks in the FBI background check system.”

Whitewater independent counsel Robert Ray explained why he believes Hillary Clinton is “exactly wrong” to claim President Trump would have been indicted if he weren’t president.

Ray said he believes the report disputes that, adding that Barr speaking to Special Counsel Robert Mueller prior to the release of the report — and his press conference — only further weight on the opposite side of Clinton’s claim.

“That is why the attorney general, before the report was released to the public went back to the special counsel apparently on more than one occasion, as he said in his press conference,” Ray said during a Wednesday appearance on “Fox and Friends.

GIULIANI KNOCKS CLINTON’S TRUMP INDICTMENT CLAIMS, SAYS OLD DOJ POLICY OF ‘YOU CANNOT INDICT A CLINTON’ WILL CHANGE

He continued, claiming the purpose of going back to Robert Mueller was “to inquire about” whether the reason why Trump wasn’t indicted is that he’s sitting president.

“The answer that came back is, no, that is not what I’m saying,” Ray said.

“So I know people in some quarters don’t want to listen to what the attorney general actually said but while that is a reasonable question, Hillary Clinton has it exactly wrong. That is not the reason.”

“So I know people in some quarters don’t want to listen to what the attorney general actually said but while that is a reasonable question Hillary Clinton has it exactly wrong. That is not the reason.”

The former prosecutor’s comments came amid Clinton’s remarks during the “TIME 100 Summit” in New York on Tuesday, in which she said Trump would have been indicted by the Special Counsel if he weren’t president.

“I think there’s enough there that any other person who had engaged in those acts would certainly have been indicted,” Clinton said. “But because of the rule in the Justice Department that you can’t indict a sitting president, the whole matter of obstruction was very directly sent to the Congress.”

But Ray said that unlike Trump, Clinton has to thank departmental policy and former FBI director James Comey’s discretion for not charging her with the crime over her email use.

“I think that there was lots of discussion in the justice department about how it was appropriate to resolve that investigation,” he said.

“But the bottom line is the exercise of discretion and departmental policy is what Hillary Clinton has to thank for the fact that she wasn’t charged with a criminal offense.”

Ray added that when FBI Director James Comey announced that charges won’t be brought against Clinton, it was an issue as Comey wasn’t a prosecutor at the time and just an FBI official who stepped “outside of his lane to resolve a criminal case which is a judgment that the department should have made based on application of department policy.”

He compared that situation to Mueller, who was appointed and who was able to indict the president if he felt he had sufficient grounds.

“This is a situation where you have a special counsel who is a former FBI director who is in the position of being special counsel who has decided that the traditional prosecutorial factors and the exercise of discretion would not be exercised by him but ultimately had to be exercised by the attorney general Bill Barr,” Ray said.

Stuart Varney, host of “Varney & Co.” on Fox Business, said Wednesday the new Wall Street record high can be attributed to the “Trump growth agenda,” which he said “has been wildly successful.”

Varney made the statements on “Fox & Friends” the morning after the S&P 500 hit an all-time high, recovering from last year’s dramatic plunge.

“We’re in earnings season. That’s the time when the big corporations tell us how much money did you make. That’s what they are telling us right now,” said Varney, a Fox News business contributor on “Fox & Friends.”

WALL STREET’S IN RECORD GROUND. WHAT DO INVESTORS DO NOW?

“The expectation was the profits would go down. Instead, we got profits going up very nicely. I challenge you. Go and look at your 401(k). Look at your IRA. I guarantee you will smile because since President Trump was elected in November of 2016, the value of all stocks has gone up by $9.4 trillion.”

He added, “Middle America has got a piece of that, your 401(k), your pension plan, you got a piece of that. And it’s gone up like that because of the Trump growth agenda. It has been wildly successful. The economy is expanding. The market’s at record highs.”

Varney predicted the economy will continue to do well “if profits continue to go to record levels.”

ANNUAL ECONOMIC GROWTH HITS 3 PERCENT, DEFYING PREDICTIONS OF TRUMP CRITICS

Last month, the White House touted economic numbers that some well-known economists once predicted would never happen under President Trump.

The conflicting predictions came early in 2017, when Trump and his official budget proposal forecast more than 3 percent annual economic growth under his presidency.

According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis, the economy grew at a 3.1 percent rate from the fourth quarter of 2017 to the fourth quarter of 2018, one measure of annual growth. That marked the first time in 13 years that it had been over 3 percent, the White House noted. The administration attributed the gains to tax cuts, deregulation and other pro-growth policies.

“I believe 41 states are now bringing in more money than they did I think 10 years ago before the crash. So you’re back to where you were before the crash. That is entirely the result of President Trump’s growth agenda,” Varney said Wednesday.

“The economy is growing, 3, maybe a bit more than that 3 percent. The stock market record highs. In comes the money to state governments. It’s a success story. It’s the Trump growth agenda success story. Case closed.”

President Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani turned the tables Wednesday on Hillary Clinton over her claims that President Trump would have been indicted by Robert Mueller if he weren’t in office, saying there used to be a policy of “you cannot indict a Clinton”, but that’s about to change.

“There is a woman who really obstructed justice,” Giuliani said of Clinton during an appearance on “Fox and Friends“. “The president didn’t delete 33,000 emails. He didn’t have somebody smash up telephones. And he didn’t have someone wipe out a server and bleach it, among the few things that she did. The president was innocent of the underlying crime.”

“Collusion delusion. No collusion. If you are innocent on the underlying crime, then everything they are talking about is an effort for him to defend himself. If I tell somebody that I’m innocent, please, testify on my behalf and say what happened, am I obstructing justice or am I defending myself and serving justice,” he added.

HILLARY CLINTON: ANYONE OTHER THAN TRUMP WOULD HAVE BEEN INDICTED FOR OBSTRUCTION

Giuliani’s retort follows Clinton’s comments from the “TIME 100 Summit” in New York on Tuesday, in which she said Trump would have been indicted by the Special Counsel if he weren’t president.

“I think there’s enough there that any other person who had engaged in those acts would certainly have been indicted,” Clinton said. “But because of the rule in the Justice Department that you can’t indict a sitting president, the whole matter of obstruction was very directly sent to the Congress.”

The former Mayor of New York went on to say that the real question now is how the investigations into Trump and his campaign started in the first place, echoing Republicans’ calls to “investigate the investigators.”

“How this ever got started in the first place is the next investigation. And Ms. Clinton better get a lawyer,” he said.

Giuliani noted that Attorney General William Barr is likely to follow up on how the investigation began, though admitted he has zero inside information.

“I have no inside information, zero, other than the fact this is a man who believes in justice,” Giuliani said of Barr. “If you believe in justice, this can’t help but anger you and frighten you. If this can be done to the president of the United States, a frame-up like this, it can be done to any of us.”

A former advisor for Hillary Clinton and a staunch critic of Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-VT, during the 2016 election has now expressed solidarity with the Democratic frontrunner ahead of 2020.

Peter Daou, who headed Clinton’s digital operations during her 2008 campaign, wrote an op-ed for The Nation and praised the “considerable strengths” Sanders brings to the upcoming election.

“Bernie Sanders is unquestionably in the top tier of candidates for the Democratic nomination, and it would be an epic act of self-destruction for Democrats to plunge into an internecine conflict over his candidacy at a time when they need to marshal every asset to defeat Trump and his GOP cronies,” Daou wrote. “I am calling on Democrats, progressives, and leftists to hit the pause button, to table our disagreements, no matter how intense, as we fight to preserve the rule of law and the last semblance of our democracy. We owe it to ourselves and our country.”

He reflected that during the 2016 election, there was an “ugly family dispute” between Clinton and Sander supporters and that he began to “unblock” people on Twitter he previously had disputes with.

“Bernie Sanders can beat Donald Trump—and it would be an epic act of self-destruction for Democrats to try and hobble his campaign,” Daou declared. “To defeat Trump and to reverse the rising tide of white nationalism that threatens the foundations of our democracy, we must have the courage to set aside old grievances for the greater good. Bernie Sanders is not the only candidate who can defeat Trump, but he’s certainly one of them. And he should not be treated as the enemy.”

Daou’s op-ed sparked a major reaction among progressives on social media.

The Democratic Party’s 2020 presidential field is a “blob of socialists,” and they’re making the party too “extreme,” the director of strategic communications for President Trump’s re-election campaign said Tuesday.

Marc Lotter made the comments during an appearance on “The Todd Starnes Show.”

“What we’re talking about right now is just a giant blob of socialists,” Lotter told host Todd Starnes, “and they’re trying to compete with each other to see who can be the most radical, the most out of step, offer the most free things that no one knows how to pay for.

RUSH LIMBAUGH: BIDEN DEMS BEST CHANCE AND HE HAS NO CHANCE

“And whichever one of those 21, or 30 — whatever it’s going to end up being — candidates that emerges from their primary is going to be broke, broken, battered,” Lotter continued, “and inherit the keys to a Democrat National Committee that is broke, still taking on millions of dollars and that has no appreciable national program in place and they’re going to be competing against a president who’s getting results.”

Former Vice President Joe Biden is expected to enter the Democratic field this week, making him the 20th candidate seeking the Democratic Party’s 2020 presidential nomination.

Lotter touted the U.S. economy’s performance under President Trump and also mocked Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., for his appearance on a CNN Town Hall event Monday, where Sanders said felons should be permitted to vote, including the Boston Marathon bomber.

“The Democrat field last night out there talking about the Boston Marathon bomber voting from prison — a terrorist who killed Americans, allowing that person to vote — it’s a perfect example of how radical and extreme the Democrat socialist party has become,” Lotter said.

Herman Cain says sexual harassment allegations not a factor in withdrawing from Fed consideration

Former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain appeared on “Hannity” Tuesday night, where he addressed whether past allegations of sexual harassment were a factor in his decision to withdraw from consideration for a seat on the Federal Reserve’s board.

“Those accusations had nothing to do with my decision,” Cain told host Sean Hannity. “My decision was driven by … collecting all the information, and also finding out from administration staffers the things that I could and could not do.

CAIN’S BID FOR FED FACES SETBACK

“And when I started to look at the things that I could not do,” Cain continued, “that is like taking a stallion, keeping him in the stables, and not let him run. I couldn’t do the things that I enjoy.”

President Trump tweeted Monday that Cain asked not to be nominated.

“And when I started to look at the things that I could not do, that is like taking a stallion, keeping him in the stables, and not let him run.”

“My friend Herman Cain, a truly wonderful man, has asked me not to nominate him for a seat on the Federal Reserve Board. I will respect his wishes. Herman is a great American who truly loves our Country!” Trump tweeted.

Sexual harassment and infidelity allegations hurt Cain’s 2012 presidential bid and resurfaced after Trump initially said he intended to nominate him for the Fed board.

Cain, the former CEO of Godfather’s Pizza, said last week on Fox Business Network that he had no plans to withdraw from consideration.

Cain told Hannity that limitations on speaking openly eventually led him to withdraw his nomination.

“If I have become the Federal Reserve governor, I would have been limited in terms of what I could talk about and tell people the truth, whereas in this environment, I am unlimited in being able to say what I want, when I want, to whoever if I want when it comes to the truth. That is why I made the decision not to do it,” Cain said.

Fox News’ Judson Berger and the Associated Press contributed to this report.

Former CNN host and DailyMail.com editor-at-large Piers Morgan called Democratic presidential candidate frontrunner Bernie Sanders’ comments Monday that he wanted felons to vote, including the Boston Marathon bomber, “utter lunacy” Tuesday.

“I couldn’t really believe what I was hearing. This is a guy, frontrunner as you said, to be the potential nominee for the Democratic Party to beat Donald Trump, that’s their plan and what they want to do. And their main selling point right now on a CNN Town Hall is they want the Boston Marathon bomber to be able to vote while he is in prison? While he is on death row?” Morgan said on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

MEGHAN MCCAIN AND WHOOPI GOLDBERG CLASH OVER VOTING RIGHTS FOR BOSTON BOMBER: ‘HE IS A TERRORIST’

Sanders, an independent U.S. senator from Vermont, defended his stance on voting rights during a CNN Town Hall event Monday night. He argued that the U.S. Constitution says “everybody can vote” and that “some people in jail can vote.”

Morgan found it ironic that Sanders, who is seeking the Democratic presidential nomination, wants criminals to vote for president but calls President Trump a criminal.

“And there is an irony, Tucker, the same Democrats screaming every single second of every day about Trump and collusion — ‘He is a criminal, we can’t have a criminal running the country’ — and yet at the same time, they are campaigning for every criminal in the country to have the right to vote for president,” Morgan said.

The former CNN host criticized the idea of felons voting, saying it would not resonate with middle America and would get Trump reelected.

“This is madness! This is a way to get Trump reelected. Maybe they are all sleeper cells,” Morgan joked.
