Princess Sofia of Sweden started volunteering this week at a Stockholm hospital where she serves as the honorary chair amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The princess, 35, is among 80 people a week who have completed the three-day emergency online training course from Sophiahemmet University created to help the hospital, which has been overwhelmed during the outbreak, according to People magazine.

“In the crisis we find ourselves in, the Princess wants to get involved and make a contribution as a voluntary worker to relieve the large workload of health care professionals,” the Royal Court said in a statement.

She won’t be working directly with patients, but rather supporting doctors and nurses through kitchen shifts, disinfecting instruments and cleaning, Pia Hultkrantz, spokeswoman for Sophiahemmet Hospital, said.

“They’re going to relieve the health care professionals during this crisis so that those who are trained to care can actually do it. In other words, anyone who attends this training will not have any patient-close care,” she Hultkrantz, according to Royal Central. “Regardless, none of the course participants will work directly with corona patients.”

Sophiahemmet currently has no confirmed COVID-19 cases, People reported.

The hospital has had a relationship with the Swedish royal family going back to 1884 when Queen Sofia of Sweden and Norway sponsored its nursing education programs, according to Royal Central.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are doing their part to help others amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The royal duo joined Project Angel Food, an organization dedicated to providing food to those impacted by serious illness, to make two food deliveries, a rep for the organization confirmed to Fox News.

The distributions took place on Easter Sunday and again on Wednesday.

Project Angel Food also shared the news on their social media.

“In honor of the Easter Holiday, the Duke and Duchess spent Sunday morning volunteering with Project Angel Food by delivering meals to our clients,” the statement from the organization’s executive director Richard Ayoub read. “And on Wednesday they quietly continued delivering meals to relieve our overworked drivers.”

The statement continued: “It was their way to thank our volunteers, chefs and staff who have been working tirelessly since the COVID-19 crisis began.”

Ayoub recently spoke with People magazine about working with Markle, 38, and Harry, 35, saying Project Angel Food was “completely honored.”

“They were extremely down to earth and genuinely interested in every single person they met,” Ayoub said. “They engaged with our chefs, they engaged with clients — they just wanted to make sure that people felt the love and appreciation. Their goal was really to just honor our chefs and staffs and volunteers by being of service.”

Ayoub said that Markle also wanted to “show Harry Los Angeles through the eyes of philanthropy.”

“There’s obviously a great deal of love and selflessness between them. They both are individuals who want to know about others. Our clients are clients who are often forgotten,” he continued. “They really wanted to go visit these people. They wanted to see them and talk to them and hopefully put a smile on their faces.”

According to Ayoub, Markle was aware of the organization from her previous time in Los Angeles before their reported relocation to the city.

“She said she wanted to do something to give back on Easter and was talking to her mom [Doria Ragland] and her mom told her that Project Angel Food needs help and Meghan said, ‘Yes, brilliant,’” said the executive director.

After multiple pushbacks, Princess Beatrice and her fiancé Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are still reviewing their royal wedding plans, Fox News can confirm.

The eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, both 60, Beatrice, 31, was scheduled to tie the knot with the 37-year-old property developer on May 29 at St. James Palace in London, with a lavish reception at her grandmother Queen Elizabeth’s garden at Buckingham Palace.

However, the pair has made the conscientious decision to do away with the nuptial reception for now, as the world around them endures through the novel coronavirus pandemic.

“Princess Beatrice and Mr. Mapelli Mozzi are very much looking forward to getting married but are equally aware of the need to avoid undertaking any unnecessary risks in the current circumstances,” a spokesperson for the couple told Fox News on Thursday. “In line with government advice for the UK and beyond, the couple are reviewing their arrangements for 29th May.

“They are particularly conscious of government advice in relation to both the wellbeing of older family members and large gatherings of people,” the spokesman continued. “Therefore, the planned reception in the Buckingham Palace Gardens will not take place. The couple will carefully consider government advice before deciding whether a private marriage might take place amongst a small group of family and friends.”

The couple’s decision came after the U.K. government extended the nationwide lockdown for an additional three weeks on Thursday.

Furthermore, a royal insider told People magazine on Thursday that amid the growing concern surrounding the virus, “the invitations were never actually sent out.”

Last month, the outlet maintained that details surrounding the wedding were still being ironed out, but Mozzi’s family is from Italy, and the region has been hit hard by the virus.

As for the ceremony itself,  the couple had reportedly already rescheduled it twice due to Beatrice’s father Prince Andrew’s public scandal that has pierced the royal exterior.

MEGHAN MARKLE, PALACE AIDES HAD A ‘CLASH OF CULTURES’ OVER HER HOLLYWOOD PAST, ROYAL EXPERT CLAIMS

Beatrice’s father is Queen Elizabeth II’s third child and second son. The Duke of York is eighth in the line of succession to the British throne. In November 2019, Andrew announced that he asked his mother, 93, if he can “step back” from his public duties following a disastrous interview with the BBC about his relationship with the financier and convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

A source for the outlet said in February that the royal bride-to-be had elected to have a smaller ceremony given the pushbacks.

“The date was changed two times to adjust [around Andrew’s scandal],” the insider told People at the time. “It will be smaller than the original plan.”

A royal source insisted at the time that the pair was “keeping with their wishes for a more low-key” affair.

The source also shared that Andrew will be present and walk his daughter down the aisle.

“Andrew will probably give a toast at the reception like any father of the bride,” the source said. “They will try to normalize this as much as possible.”

Prince Harry is spending some quality time with his family during the coronavirus quarantine.

Harry, 35, recently participated in a video call with several U.K. parents and caretakers — who are part of WellChild, a U.K.-based charity which supports seriously ill children — during which, he talked about the current situation and touched on how he’s spending his time, according to People.

“There’s a hell of a lot of positives that are happening at the same time and being able to have family time — so much family time — that you almost think, ‘Do I feel guilty for having so much family time?’” said Harry, who is presumably on lockdown with wife Meghan Markle and the couple’s almost 1-year-old son, Archie.

He continued: “You’ve got to celebrate those moments where you are just on the floor rolling around in hysterics. Inevitably, half an hour later, maybe a day later, there’s going to be something that you have to deal with and there’s no way you can run away from it.”

Harry, who reportedly has relocated to Los Angeles with his family, offered praise to the caretakers on the video call, calling them “super parents.”

“The resilience and the strength that you guys have is absolutely incredible,” the prince said. “You must never, ever, ever, ever forget that. Of course, there are going to be hard days – I can’t even begin to imagine how hard it is for you guys.”

In reference to Archie, who turns 1 in May, Harry added: “Having one kid at 11 months old is enough.”

Harry and the “super parents” discussed how they’ve been holding up and the various issues they’re currently facing such as limiting the spread of the novel virus and accessing healthcare.

When asked about his state, Harry said he’s “not too bad,” according to People.

“I think it’s certainly strange times — everyone is experiencing the same thing in a very unique way,” he noted. “But the longer this goes on for, I imagine the harder it is for each and every one of you.”

The prince reminded the parents that “it’s about morale.”

“If morale is up, if you wake up in the morning and go, ‘Right, new day, got my whole family here, what are we going to do?’” Harry said. “Of course, there’s that fear of what might happen, but there’s so much that’s out of our control and all of the sudden we’ve realized how small we are in the grand scheme of things.”

Caretakers on the call discussed the problematic nature of the situation, putting vulnerable families at higher risk because they need to focus on caring for children rather than their jobs.

Harry stressed that the situation is “hard on everyone.”

It’s been just a few months since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle embarked on a new chapter in North America amid their departure as senior members of the royal family — and one pal close to the Duke of Sussex claims he’s still struggling to find his footing.

British primatologist Jane Goodall says she has remained in contact with Harry, 35, who made multiple trips to join his wife Meghan, 38, in Vancouver, Canada, at the start of the year before officially making the move to the Duchess of Sussex’s hometown of Los Angeles, Calif., last month.

Goodall spoke to the Radio Times about some big changes Harry is facing in his day-to-day life now that he’s thousands of miles away from the British royal family. It turns out Goodall is unaware of how Harry will transition to earning his own keep in the States.

“I don’t know how his career is going to map out, but yes, I’ve been in touch, though I think he’s finding life a bit challenging now,” Goodall shared, according to The Guardian.

The ethologist imagined that Harry has likely put a halt to one of his the traditional royal pastimes he once shared with his older brother, Prince William.

“They hunt and shoot,” Harry’s pal told the outlet. “But I think Harry will stop because Meghan doesn’t like hunting so I suspect that is over for him.”

Over the years, Harry and William enjoyed hunting trips together, at times being criticized for the controversial sport. In 2014, William launched an appeal to stop the illegal hunting of wildlife, according to The Guardian.

Goodall, also an environmental activist, was interviewed by Harry for a special edition of British Vogue guest-edited by Meghan last year. During the chat, Goodall claimed Harry “hinted” at raising Archie differently than he was.

“I made Archie do the queen’s wave, saying, ‘I suppose he’ll have to learn this,'” Goodall recalled. “Harry said, ‘No, he’s not growing up like that.'”

There’s no doubt that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s life will change now that they’ve relocated to Los Angeles.

The royal duo will have plenty to figure out in the coming weeks, but Julie Montagu has proven that a transition between the culture of American and that of the British aristocracy is a possible one.

Montagu grew up in Illinois before marrying Luke Timothy Charles Montagu, Viscount Hinchingbrooke, heir to the Earl of Sandwich — and relocating to England, indicating that she is well-versed in the cultural differences that Markle, 38, and Harry, 35, will experience.

PRINCE WILLIAM, KATE MIDDLETON SNAG PRINCE HARRY, MEGHAN MARKLE’S SOCIAL MEDIA STAFFER AFTER SUSSEX ROYAL ENDS

“I always say whenever you meet an American, you know their life story within 24 hours,” Montagu explained to Town & Country. “We’re very emotionally open, which I think for Harry is actually a really good thing. He’ll be able to talk about his feelings, probably more than he was able to talk about over here.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if we start to hear a little bit more about how he feels about losing his mother at age 12, and maybe how he and Meghan were treated in the press over here,” she added.

Harry and Meghan aren’t the only ones that will have to balance cultures, as their son Archie will likely have to pick up on certain English traditions.

“My husband grew up knowing you should be fully dressed for meals, socks and shoes on,” Montagu said. “We set the table for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And when I say set the table, I mean set the table. We have placemats, all the cutlery out, the glasses, and we serve everyone as our guests.”

Montagu also said she imagines Meghan’s American parenting style to be similar to her own, such as saying “I love you” to one another.

“I remember one thing my husband said to me when we were dating is that every time I spoke to my parents, I’d hang up the phone and say, ‘I love you, Mom and Dad,'” Montagu remembered. “I’m like, yeah, that’s what we do! My kids say ‘I love you’ all the time, and we hug.”

Montagu, also an author, noted that there’s a difference in people’s outlooks between the two countries as well, which she believes will make for an enjoyable atmosphere for Harry.

“That cheery, optimistic outlook on life is everywhere in America and it’s so contagious. I love it,” she said. “And my kids always notice how much people greet each other on the street.”

Montagu also pointed out one surprising difference between the two cultures: the customer service.

“America has the best customer service in the whole wide world,” she told the outlet. “It’s three rings on the phone and someone is there on the other end, or you go into a shop and as soon as you walk in, they greet you, and when you leave they say, ‘Oh, have a great day!'”

Queen Elizabeth II delivered her first-ever Easter message on Saturday in a recording that was filled with hope amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Shared across the British royal family‘s official social media accounts one day ahead of the holiday, the queen insisted that Easter is not cancelled. Rather, the monarch reminded citizens that it is a symbol of faith as the world mourns.

“Many religions have festivals which celebrate light overcoming darkness. Such occasions are often accompanied by the lighting of candles. They seem to speak to every culture, and appeal to people of all faiths, and of none. They are lit on birthday cakes and to mark family anniversaries. When we gather happily around a source of light it unites us,” the queen said.

The message continued: “As darkness falls on the Saturday before Easter day, many Christians would normally light candles together. In church, one light would pass to another, spreading slowly and then more rapidly as more candles are lit. It’s a way of showing how the good news of Christ’s resurrection is being passed on from the first Easter by every generation until now.”

The queen, 93, reminded Britons and the world that this year will, of course, be different due to social distancing measures and stay-at-home orders across the globe issued to control the spread of the virus.

“This year, Easter will be different for many of us but by keeping apart we keep others safe. But Easter isn’t cancelled. Indeed we need Easter as much as ever. The discovery of the risen Christ on the first Easter Day gave his followers new hope and fresh purpose, and we can all take heart from this. We know that Coronavirus will not overcome us. As dark as death can be — particularly for those suffering with grief — light and life are greater. May the living flame of the Easter hope be a steady guide as we face the future. I wish everyone of all faiths and denominations a blessed Easter.”

Although the quieen does not appear in the two-minute message, her voice is projected as the camera focuses in on one white candle that remains lit.

Saturday’s message served as the first time the queen has addressed the Easter holiday in a recording.

It comes just six days following her rare address to the United Kingdom about the pandemic. In a video recording, the monarch offered hope in the face of mounting death tolls.

The queen also paid tribute to Britain’s beloved National Health Service and others in essential services, together with around 750,000 people who volunteer to help vulnerable people.

The coronavirus crisis hit close to home for the monarch last month. Her son and heir to the British throne, Prince Charles, had a mild case of the disease. The Prince of Wales, 71, has since recovered, his office confirmed to Fox News.

The queen left London and has remained at her home in Windsor with her husband, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh. The monarch and her 98-year-old spouse are among those over 70 whom the British government advised to stay home for 12 weeks.

Meeting Princess Diana was quite the experience for Cindy Crawford.

The iconic supermodel chatted with Naomi Campbell during an episode of the latter’s web series “No Filter with Naomi,” during which they recounted their interactions with the royal family.

Campbell, 49, remembered her experience surprising Prince William with fellow models Claudia Schiffer and Christy Turlington for his birthday in his early teenage years.

“I went with Claudia and Christy and he was coming home from school,” Campbell recalled. “And we had gotten there before he had gotten home from school and Princess Diana was like, ‘Okay.’ So we were just like, ‘What do we do?’ I mean, it was so sweet.”

Crawford, on the other hand, met William, now 37, and Diana a few years later.

The 54-year-old model said that she was “blushing” when she met the royals.

“I was so intimidated meeting Princess Diana and being at Kensington Palace and just how completely down-to-earth she was because there’s so much protocol I guess, and not being English, I don’t understand some of it,” she said.

Crawford added that Diana made the visit feel like “going to a friend’s house.”

“I feel like she was in jeans and like a cashmere sweater and almost that vibe of being super laid back,” she said. “So I also was probably a little, I mean it was uncomfortable, but it was sweet. It was a very sweet day and a great memory.”

Campbell then echoed Crawford’s praise of the late princess, who died in 1997.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have revealed the name of a new foundation they plan to launch when the time is right.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been working on a charitable foundation named Archewell — a name they say has a special tie to their son, Archie.

The Telegraph first reported that the couple, who recently relocated from Canada to Los Angeles, Calif., filed paperwork in the United States for a nonprofit organization named Archewell, that will provide both education and emotional support among other services.

In a statement provided to the outlet, Meghan and Harry explained their upcoming charitable organization derived from the Greek word “arche” which means “source of action.”

The couple insisted they fell upon the name and meaning of “arche” before launching their former Sussex Royal brand.

The couple shared that the meaning of “arche” inspired the duo to name their first child Archie.

“To do something of meaning, to do something that matters. Archewell is a name that combines an ancient word for strength and action, and another that evokes the deep resources we each must draw upon,” the couple said in a statement to People.

While the trademark application has reportedly been filed, the couple hinted that they are in no rush to roll out its launch due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“Like you, our focus is on supporting efforts to tackle the global COVID-19 pandemic, but faced with this information coming to light, we felt compelled to share the story of how this came to be,” the couple continued in their statement.

Queen Elizabeth II has addressed the UK for only the fourth time in her nearly-seven decades as monarch, and her subjects seem to be pleased.

Viewers of the message — which ran for nearly four and a half minutes — took to Twitter after the Queen’s broadcast to share their reactions, which were overwhelmingly positive.

“Nobody could have given that address tonight apart from The Queen, one user wrote, offering up several quotes from her speech. “‘We will succeed’ ‘We will meet again’ ‘Better days will come’ I think we all needed to hear that.”

Another added: “Honestly I totally fan girl over Her Majesty. She’s has a shocking 12 months, yet here she is, propping the country up. I felt every word of it. What a woman.”

“The Queen. Getting it right. Every time,” another fan wrote.

The Queen, 93, said the world was experiencing “an increasingly challenging time.” In addition to offering encouragement to the U.K., she sent thanks to the British National Health Service and people working on the front lines to fight the disease.
