The Whistleblower Scandal Is More Likely to Take out Joe Biden Than It Is to Hurt Trump

Westlake Legal Group JoeBiden The Whistleblower Scandal Is More Likely to Take out Joe Biden Than It Is to Hurt Trump whistleblower Ukraine republicans Politics Joe Biden International Affairs hunter biden Front Page Stories Foreign Policy donald trump democrats corruption Allow Media Exception

As Bonchie posted yesterday, this whole Ukraine flap has all the makings of yet another media generated faux scandal that will end in nothing. (See As Predicted, that Trump-Ukraine “Whistle-Blower” Story Just Blew Up In Epic Fashion.) Now we’re learning that the alleged whistleblower really isn’t a whistleblower or entitled to any kind of protection because that person never heard the call nor read any transcripts, they had heard about it.

The way the story is developing, though, the worst you can say about Trump is that you don’t like what he did. Fine, I think we all have that feeling time and again. The stupidest thing you can say is this or something like it:

I think that we can all see from the way Goldberg and his fellow Vichyists pushed the Collusion Hoax that they have no issue whatsoever with a presidential campaign using the services of foreign intelligence services to attack a political opponent. In fact, these people were in the forefront of demanding Trump cooperate with the investigation because he should look forward to being exonerated. I can’t understand why they think Joe Biden isn’t chomping at the bit to have his name cleared or why they’re upset.

But some interesting things are happening that indicate that this story poses more of a danger to Joe Biden than to Donald Trump.

First, the story is not a hoax. Hunter Biden is a grift-o-matic and Joe Biden’s protection of his son has been an issue since early in the Obama administration. Here we have a reporter being stonewalled by a State Department spokeswoman (Jen Psaki, right?) over the rather grotesque appearance of a conflict of interest of Hunter Biden getting a lucrative job from Ukrainian oligarchs given the US involvement in the Russia-Ukraine war.

The reason he was asking about it is because it was a significant story despite what Biden tries to claim.

Unlike during the Obama administration when Hunter Biden’s propensity for shady deals would have attached to the Biden, personally, and through him to the Obama administration, now there are people inside the Democrat party who want to take Biden out. That’s why you have stories like this which are driving Biden fans crazy.

and this

The “more with sadness than anger” examinations of how Joe Biden got sucked into questionable acts in order to help his son. And it seems like some major media outlets and CNN might cover the story:

Making it sweeter is Joe Biden boasting about telling the Ukrainian government to shut down their investigation of his son or lose all funding.

Even the Usual Suspects on the left are pulling their chins and clucking that this is worthy:

Stoller is spot on. Trump’s actions are well within his authority as president and Trump’s disregard for protocol is largely baked into the equation. Biden was involved in a garden variety cover up of his son’s apparent corruption. More people understand that story than the attack on Trump. Mind you, I don’t believe for second, that this an diddly squat to do with them wanting to investigate Biden and everything to do with them realizing how weak a candidate Biden is and wanting him out of the race.

In this case, as hard as it is to believe, it is very easy to see Chris Hayes being completely right here

The media are really covering themselves in glory at this point.

As I wrote yesterday, the latest “bombshell” involving a phone call between Trump and Ukraine’s president blew up in the launch tube. For the better part of 12 hours, we were subjected to baseless speculation and “anonymous sources” claiming Trump had dangled foreign aid as an extortion tool to get Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden’s possible corruption in the same country.

In the end, it was all garbage. Trump had indeed asked Ukraine to look into the matter, but he had not offered a quid pro quo or done anything else improper. A lot of people people thought they finally had Trump, that this was going to be the thing that finally gets him impeached. As per usual though, the story lacked vital facts and context.

Well, things just got a lot worse. It turns out the supposed “whistle-blower” hadn’t even heard the phone call in question, nor seen a transcript.

You’ve got to be kidding me.

Even as CNN runs a headline claiming the scandal deepens, the actual story here continues to go up in flames. How can you be a whistle-blower when you don’t even have direct knowledge of what you are claiming? The answer is that you can’t.

What we have here is a partisan within the dumpster fire that is our intelligence bureaucracies playing resistance hero. He or she thought they could force the release of this call to embarrass Trump but all ended up backfiring. Now, it’s Biden who’s facing renewed scrutiny.

Meanwhile, the same “conservatives” and media members who always fall for this stuff got suckered again. Or perhaps they are just doing it on purpose at this point? That’s probably more likely.

The woman complaining today was a beneficiary of Ukrainian collusion in 2016.

As Bonchie has detailed the Trump/Ukraine hysterics are beginning to unravel like a sweater in a Soviet-bloc department store. Turns out there was no such forcible deal being provoked by the President, and in fact, it looks like a case of sheer desperate distraction by the press/Democrats.

What was initially accused as being a setup to “fix” the upcoming 2020 election by compelling the Ukraine to look into Biden for political oppo-research has instead become an investigation into things that transpired in the last election. As a form of distraction the press has been alluding to conspiracies going forward when in fact the issue was about looking backward. And Hillary has tripped over her own tongue.

In what has become standard practice within the media in the Trump era a brash story is announced and many leftist opponents respond with over-the-top outrage. Then, once the actual details of the story become known, it dies a quick but very silent death. (The recent Brett Kavanaugh hysterics were the latest example.) Yet everyone remembers the outrage and that echoes onward. Hillary Clinton was an active participant in this media 2-step hoedown yesterday, and she really should have known better.

Hillary has claimed that what transpired was the Trump administration attempting to leverage the Ukraine authorities into providing dirt on Joe Biden, for the purpose of aiding his reelection efforts next year. Hillary sent out a tweet declaring, “The president asked a foreign power to help him win an election. Again.”

There are two monumental problems with Clinton chirping about this incident.

First, John Solomon last night provided something the press has been steadfast in avoiding — details, and facts. In defiance of the hysterical news reports (many which resorted to qualifying phrases such as “if true”) it turns out that this summer it was the State Department that asked the administration to meet with Ukrainian authorities. The reason? To help the new Ukrainian President develop relations, as they looked into possible issues emanating from the Obama administration. It had nothing to do with the 2020 election, outside of whether results will impact things in the future.

Of course, this will be memory-holed, given that this came out in the document-dump vortex of late Friday and it completely disrupts their anti-Trump narrative. The press will avoid this story like audiences avoid John Travolta films. The second issue with Hillary? It was her, and her campaign, and the DNC that was in coordination with the Ukrainians during the 2016 election.

Recall the name Alexandra Chalupa? She was a Ukranian-American consultant to the DNC. She coordinated with the Democrats and the Ukranian embassy to feed information about Paul Manafort to the media, in the effort to derail the Trump campaign. And, small reminder, this was all inspired by the Steele dossier, created through Fusion GPS at the behest of Hillary’s lawyers, and the DNC.

So for Hillary to now come forward and talk of foreign powers helping campaigns — specifically Ukraine — is as brazen a move as there is. However, once you consider the way the press had completely avoided this aspect of the election, all while screeching how inappropriate Trump’s disproven connection to Russia had been, you can understand her confidence she would not be held accountable for these words either.

New Revelations About Giuliani’s Contact With Ukrainian Officials Blows Up Media’s Narrative

Westlake Legal Group giuliani-620x759 New Revelations About Giuliani’s Contact With Ukrainian Officials Blows Up Media’s Narrative Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky Rudy Giuliani President Trump Mainstream Media John Solomon Joe Biden Impeachment of President Trump hunter biden Hillary Clinton Front Page Stories Featured Story donald trump democrats Dan Bongino corruption collusion Andrei Yermak Allow Media Exception 2020

The media has spent the last three days in a frenzy over what they hope will become the next Trump administration scandal. And Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani has found himself right at the center of it after his unfortunate interview with CNN’s Chris Cuomo.

The Hill’s John Solomon, a long-time investigative reporter with extensive connections inside the intelligence community, has revealed new information about Rudy Giuliani’s engagement with Ukrainian officials. His sources have also provided a timeline of all communication between them.

Contrary to what the media is reporting, Giuliani did not initiate contact with Ukrainian officials. Instead, Solomon reports that a State Department official, a senior U.S. diplomat, contacted Giuliani in July to ask if he would agree to speak with Andrei Yermak, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s top advisor and attorney. State both encouraged and facilitated this meeting. Solomon writes:

Giuliani met in early August with Yermak on neutral ground — in Spain — before reporting back to State everything that occurred at the meeting.

That debriefing occurred Aug. 11 by phone with two senior U.S. diplomats, one with responsibility for Ukraine and the other with responsibility for the European Union, according to electronic communications records I reviewed and interviews I conducted.

On Friday, Giuliani spoke to Solomon. He confirmed that the State Department asked him to meet with Yermak and said he apprised State officials “every step of the way.”

Giuliani told Solomon, “I didn’t even know who he (Yermak) really was, but they vouched for him. They actually urged me to talk to him because they said he seemed like an honest broker. I reported back to them (the two State officials) what my conversations with Yermak were about. All of this was done at the request of the State Department.”

And yes, Giuliani did speak with Yermak about former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden. But the reason for that was far different than what the media would have us believe.

(Note: Solomon points out that, even if that had been the sole purpose for meeting with him, it would not have been illegal.)

Solomon interviewed over a dozen Ukrainian and U.S. officials and learned that the Ukrainian government had been trying since the summer 2018 to “hand over evidence about the conduct of Americans they believe might be involved in violations of U.S. law during the Obama years.”

The Ukrainians say their efforts to get their allegations to U.S. authorities were thwarted first by the U.S. embassy in Kiev, which failed to issue timely visas allowing them to visit America.

Then the Ukrainians hired a former U.S. attorney — not Giuliani — to hand-deliver the evidence of wrongdoing to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in New York, but the federal prosecutors never responded.

What a surprise that the SDNY failed to act on the Ukrainian information.

Solomon interviewed the retired attorney, whom he described as reputable, and he confirmed the story.

The allegations that Ukrainian officials wanted to pass on involved both efforts by the Democratic National Committee to pressure Ukraine to meddle in the 2016 U.S. election as well as Joe Biden’s son’s effort to make money in Ukraine while the former vice president managed U.S.-Ukraine relations, the U.S. attorney told me.

Giuliani learned of this in November 2018 and began to investigate. And why wouldn’t he? In November, the special counsel investigation was still ongoing and it was possible this new information could help in Trump’s defense. In addition, if the Bidens had been involved in questionable activities, the administration had every right to know about it.

So, although Giuliani did not travel to Ukraine, he began making inquiries. He had planned to visit the country in the summer, but Ukrainian officials leaked word of his plans, likely those from the pro-Hillary Clinton faction. Following the uproar in the press, Giuliani canceled his plans. And he stopped talking to the Ukrainian officials.

Solomon writes that his American and foreign sources told him:

Ukrainian officials worried that the slight of Giuliani might hurt their relations with his most famous client, Trump.

And Trump himself added to the dynamic by encouraging Ukraine’s leaders to work with Giuliani to surface the evidence of alleged wrongdoing that has been floating around for more than two years, my sources said.

It is likely that the State Department’s overture to Giuliani in July was designed to allay fears of a diplomatic slight and to assure the nascent Ukrainian administration that everything would be okay between the two allies.

The belief was that if Zelensky’s top lawyer could talk to Trump’s top lawyer, everything could be patched up, officials explained to me.

Ukrainian officials told Solomon they are privately considering sending their information directly to Congress.

Democrats and the mainstream media have a strong interest in preventing this information from seeing the light of day because it likely involves corruption by pro-Hillary officials and staffers inside the Embassy in Kiev prior to the 2016 election. This activity has been chronicled in Dan Bongino’s book, “Spygate.” It may even include information about the origin and authenticity/inauthenticity of the infamous “black ledger” which “randomly” turned up in August 2016 and forced Paul Manafort to resign from his position as manager of the Trump campaign and marked the beginning of his legal problems.

If it includes evidence of serious or illegal actions by Hunter Biden while his father served as the Obama administration’s “point man” on Ukraine, it could force Joe Biden out of the race for the Democratic presidential nomination. That may happen anyway.

The mainstream media, as always, is practicing selective reporting. They are trying to present last week’s developments as a new reason to impeach Trump. And they will be proven wrong. Again.

Trump Tweets His Reaction To Biden and Ukraine Allegations

Westlake Legal Group JoeBidenAPimage-620x317 Trump Tweets His Reaction To Biden and Ukraine Allegations Front Page Stories Featured Story Abuse of Power

One would think, after the failed coup attempt that was the Russia collusion investigation, the Democrats would understand that any accusation of wrongdoing against Donald Trump personally, or against his administration generally, is going to be met with skepticism.

But they’ve clearly not learned that lesson, because they’ve rolled out the same big guns against Trump with their newest allegations — accusations that had TV pundits like Mika Brzezinski looking like the cat that ate the cream — that Trump may have offered military protection to Ukraine in exchange for that nation looking into former VP Joe Biden’s son’s business dealings.

Those guns are basically what e already know: use the media to hammer the public over the head with the idea Trump engaged in a qui pro quo with Ukraine and then let the chips fall.

Well, Trump’s not having it.

The gist of the allegations, according to the Wall Street Journal, are these:

President Trump in a July phone call repeatedly pressured the president of Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden ’s son, according to people familiar with the matter, urging Volodymyr Zelensky about eight times to work with Rudy Giuliani on a probe that could hamper Mr. Trump’s potential 2020 opponent.

“He told him that he should work with [Mr. Giuliani] on Biden, and that people in Washington wanted to know” if his lawyer’s assertions that Mr. Biden acted improperly as vice president were true, one of the people said. Mr. Giuliani has suggested Mr. Biden’s pressure on Ukraine to fight corruption had to do with an investigation of a gas company for which his son was a director. A Ukrainian official this year said he had no evidence of wrongdoing by Mr. Biden or his son Hunter Biden.

Mr. Trump in the call didn’t mention a provision of U.S. aid to Ukraine, said this person, who didn’t believe Mr. Trump offered the Ukrainian president any quid pro quo for his cooperation on any investigation.

In fact, there are stories coming out that any conversations the U.S. had with Ukraine were at the behest of the State Department, and were not hidden nor improper. The Hill’s John Solomon describes those conversations this way:

The coverage suggests Giuliani reached out to new Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s team this summer solely because he wanted to get dirt on possible Trump 2020 challenger Joe Biden and his son Hunter’s business dealings in that country.

Politics or law could have been part of Giuliani’s motive, and neither would be illegal.

But there is a missing part of the story that the American public needs in order to assess what really happened: Giuliani’s contact with Zelensky adviser and attorney Andrei Yermak this summer was encouraged and facilitated by the U.S. State Department.

Meanwhile Biden, is under the microscope for exactly what Trump suggests.

“The underlying story here involves Hunter Biden going around the world really collecting large payments from foreign governments and foreign oligarchs in the case of Ukraine,” Schweizer, the author of “Secret Empires,” said on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle.”

The former VP, and Democrats, may find that this newest gambit might end up backfiring. But they should be used to that by now.

WATCH: Australian Broadcaster Takes Down the Spoiled Climate Protesting Students In Epic Fashion

Westlake Legal Group Untitled-1-3-620x384 WATCH: Australian Broadcaster Takes Down the Spoiled Climate Protesting Students In Epic Fashion Students Sky News protest progressives Popular Culture Politics Media hoax Front Page Stories Featured Story Climate Change Climate Allow Media Exception Alan Jones

Alan Jones, an Australian broadcaster for Sky News had some choice words for students taking part in the climate protests that occurred on Friday, which featured these students ditching school in order to push the “we’re all going to die” narrative so beloved by the church of climate change.

Jones had a harsh reality check for these students, who he noted demand better action by people and government in the name of saving the environment (Jones calls it a “hoax”) while they themselves refuse to give up their own cushy lifestyles. His words came in the form of a letter which Jones said he might send to Al Gore.

“It says this: To all the school kids going on strike for climate change, you’re the first generation who have required air conditioning in every room. You want TV in every room, and your classes are all computerized. You spend all day and night on electronic devices,” said Jones

“More than ever, you don’t walk or ride bikes to school,” he continued, “but you arrive in caravans of private cars that choke suburban roads and worsen rush hour traffic.”

“You’re the biggest consumer of manufactured goods ever, and update perfectly good expensive luxury items to stay trendy,” said Jones. “Your entertainment comes from electric devices. Furthermore, the people driving your protests are the same people who insist on artificially inflating the population growth through immigration which increases the need for energy, manufacturing and transport.”

“The more people we have, the more forest and bushland we clear, the more of the environment that’s destroyed” continued Jones.

It was here that the letter writer proposed a solution, and Jones read it with clear satisfaction.

“How about this,” said Jones, “tell your teacher to turn off the air-con, walk or ride to school, switch off your devices and read a book, make a sandwich instead of buying manufactured fast food.”

“But none of this will happen because, the piece says, you’re selfish, badly educated, virtue-signaling little turds inspired by the adults around you who crave a feeling of having a noble cause while they indulge themselves in western luxury and unprecedented quality of life. The piece ends by saying wake up, grow up, and shut up  until you’re sure of the facts before protesting.”

I wish I could inject that letter into my veins.

As harsh as the letter that Jones read sounds, it’s brutally honest. Many of these kids so hyped about climate change likely don’t know half the science surrounding it that they think they do. The reason behind this is because those teaching them this are borderline militant about what kind of information these kids can and can’t learn. Any talk to the contrary is usually shouted down and dismissed as stupid or ignorant.

The truth is as Jones read, however. They want to complain about how people are messing up the environment as they themselves mess it up and refuse to change their lifestyles in order to fix it. One moment without their phone is enough to induce panic for some people, and keeping it charged requires electricity from an outlet that is generated by a coal-burning plant. We could easily switch to nuclear to keep the environment clean, but for some reason, these climate activists won’t give the cleanest energy source on the planet the time of day.

It makes all the outrage ring rather hollow.

High School Football Game Cancelled Due to Security Concerns After Cheerleaders Held Up Trump 2020 Sign

Westlake Legal Group 7bf387e7-9818-4ac9-b94a-02fabf7db869-620x317 High School Football Game Cancelled Due to Security Concerns After Cheerleaders Held Up Trump 2020 Sign threats rally Politics North Carolina Front Page Stories football Featured Story donald trump Allow Media Exception 2020

It all started when some cheerleaders held up a Trump 2020 banner in a photo at North Stanly High School in North Carolina. The cheerleaders were punished with a “probation” but, in truth, the school took no action against the cheerleaders and continued to allow them to cheer at other games.

The reason behind the “probation” was due to the fact that the cheer squad was wearing their uniforms in the photo, and school policy dictates that the school cannot be viewed as endorsing a political candidate, and fair enough.

That should have been the end of it, but since this is 2019, someone was angry enough to get violent.

According to Fox News, Stanly High canceled their upcoming football game, simply stating that they received “additional information that could compromise safety measures our schools have in place for sporting events.”

What this means has remained obscure, but according to Jeremy Onitreb, an organizer for an upcoming rally in support of the cheerleaders who held the sign, a threat was sent to the school as reported by the Daily Wire:

Onitreb also told the Observer that he and fellow organizers were in contact with law enforcement ahead of the rally. But then, he said, someone tried to shut down the rally by threatening the school.

“The reason they decided to cancel the game is because somebody out there wanted to shut down our free speech so bad — they wanted to shut this rally down so bad — that they were willing to call the school and threaten the school,” he said. “I’m flabbergasted.”

Onitreb said that despite the football game’s cancellation, the rally will continue, and rallies may even be held until the end of the season to get the point across.

“We’re not going down like this,” he said. “Rocky Balboa wore American flag trunks for a reason. Do you know how hard it was to knock that man out? Well, it’s going to be real hard to knock us out.”

It’s sad that a school is having to shut down an entire football game because someone with an advanced case of TDS can’t stand to see the orange man supported by the youth that left is supposed to own. If anything, the school should increase security and hold the game anyway in defiance of these threats just as Onitreb is continuing to hold these rallies.

A message has to be sent that fear won’t rule the day.

How Does the Future Look? Here’s a Small Reason to Find Hope in Tomorrow, and a Reminder of What Hope Can Be

Where is America headed?

For the answer, some look to Washington.

But I say, if you want to behold the future, turn on your TV. Switch on the radio.

What messages do you hear? What world do you see?

That is our tomorrow. And tomorrow looks bleak.

But there are spots of light; reasons for hope.

Perhaps this is one.

Recently, pop star Justin Bieber has been sharing prayers from Pastor Judah Smith. Sharing, that is, with his 119 million followers on Instagram.

Judah is the leader of megachurch Churchome, which has congregations in Seattle and LA.

The minister voices the prayers himself.

Below is an example, with Justin’s caption, “Here’s a guided prayer. When you have a quiet moment get into a comfortable position and listen.”

Justin adds, “They have really been helping me and thought I would share.”

The pastor reads a portion of the 23rd Psalm.

Here’s another:

This is a guided prayer. Find a comfortable position and enjoy this experience

A post shared by Justin Bieber (@justinbieber) on Sep 18, 2019 at 3:16pm PDT

Judah speaks to a Higher Power:

“God, you’re greater than my fear. God, I know that you’re in control…God, I thank you that I am your child and you watch over me because you are my father…”

Disney star Kyle Massey, from the show That’s So Raven, commented on the meditation about fear, “I hope everyone is listening to this entire thing like I am. This is powerful.”

As reported by Fox News, Justin recently led worship at the church’s Los Angeles location.

I can’t imaging living in his shoes…the offerings of the world have surely been debilitating. But I believe he’s a young man who wants to do right. Wants to do good. Wants to be a reason for hope.

Judah had something perhaps surprising to say about the singer:

“Justin Bieber has taught me far more than I could ever teach him about what it means to grow and walk in humility and be someone who really wants to follow Jesus.”

The future is a scary place. But Judah has a suggestion:

“Fear is such a dominant part of people’s everyday life. … [I] believe that we can find reprieve, and rest, and even ease our fear, as we put our focus and our trust in God.”

Perhaps that can help you. And me. And the world. Today. For a better tomorrow.

-ALEX

“Rambo: Last Blood” Has Angry Leftist Reviewers Calling It a “Trumpian Fantasy”

Westlake Legal Group a46fee5b-5e25-464c-a035-1ab463448230-620x317 “Rambo: Last Blood” Has Angry Leftist Reviewers Calling It a “Trumpian Fantasy” Sylvester Stallone rambo Politics Movie Critics mexican border last blood Hollywood Front Page Stories Featured Story Entertainment donald trump Allow Media Exception #MAGA

Nothing makes me want to see a movie more than a leftist movie critic. Every time they have nothing but bad things to say about it, you can usually expect to see a pretty good flick.

It was the case with Death Wish

(READ: “Death Wish” Is The Movie America Needs And Deserves Right Now)

…and it was the case with Dave Chappell’s latest comedy special “Sticks and Stones.”

(READ: Why You Should Definitely Watch Dave Chappelle’s New Stand-Up Special, And Ignore The Outrage Brigades)

Now movie critics are calling Rambo: Last Blood a “Trumpian fantasy” and I went from being mildly interested to wildly interested in seeing this movie.

The Guardian’s Peter Bradshaw begins his review of Last Blood without any leadup. He just goes straight into the hate and making it seem like a Trump lover’s fantasy film because it deals with an insecure southern border and the cartels that operate there:

This massively enlarged prostate of a film can only make you wince with its badly acted geronto-ultraviolence, its Trumpian fantasies of Mexican rapists and hilariously insecure US border, and its crass enthusiasm for rape-revenge attacks undertaken by a still-got-it senior dude, 73 years young, on behalf of a sweet teenager. The film, co-written by Sylvester Stallone, imagines this demure young woman having her face slashed by an assailant but the field is left clear for a stag payback showdown; there is no question of her taking her own retributive action.

Slate’s Sam Adams makes much of the same observations Bradshaw does in accusing the film of being a “MAGA fantasy” which features Rambo killing Mexican cartel members from south of the border if gruesome ways.

Both articles fall just shy of calling the movie racist, but that’s definitely the impression you come away with. They accuse the movie of depicting Mexico as a wasteland of sex and drug trafficking. They can’t quite bring themselves to call the movie racist, however, as the whole entire plot revolves around Rambo going to save the kidnapped teenage daughter of his Mexican housekeeper who he has grown very close to.

Without even having seen the film yet, I can tell you that the movie is probably not even half as bad as they make it out to be and that if Rambo was killing red-hatted white supremacists, this movie would be talked about with something akin to reverence.

In fact, both Adams and Bradshaw seem to be upset that a Rambo movie isn’t another kind of movie. The Rambo franchise is known for its macho fantasy of one man who can bring down an entire army. It’s a fun formula and many movies came after it that have that same feel such as Die Hard or the Olympus Has Fallen series. When you go in to watch these movies you can expect to see some gratuitous violence, badass moments, explosions, blood, and killer one-liners that hit as hard as the good guy’s righteous fist.

No one is coming to a Rambo movie to watch him talk about his feelings as he works through his toxic masculinity with his effeminate therapist named Sebastian. We came to watch him kill bad guys.

What gets the critics’ goat is that a movie dared to make the bad guys people south of the border and that the situation coincides with a real-world news item in the form of a border crisis, which both authors seem to consider laughable. In fact, Bradshaw uses the term “hilariously insecure US border.”

Last I checked, the border was incredibly insecure and I’m pretty sure those who are being trafficked across it as sex slaves or forced drug runners think it’s hilarious. There’s a crisis happening there and big part of that crisis involves gang and cartel crime. The crime at our border is a multi-billion dollar industry. Those aren’t my words, that’s from the FBI.

That Last Blood depicts the southern border as a dangerous place is a realistic backdrop to a fantastical movie. It’s not bigoted or prejudiced, it’s actually a pretty bad place where nightmarish things happen. Pretending it’s not and getting angry when someone suggests it is doesn’t make you a good person, it makes you a fool.

All things considered, thanks to these leftist critics, I’ll be seeing the lastest Rambo flick with enthusiasm. If they hate it this much, then I’ll probably consider it one of the better things I’ve watched in 2019.

Vice Magazine published an article about the life and death of serial killer Aileen Wuornos, a sex worker who was found guilty of killing seven clients between 1989 and 1990. She claimed she had shot these men in self-defense.

After spending ten years on death row Wuornos died by lethal injection in 2002. She has become a cult hero to some, including rap star Cardi B, who featured her photograph on a single she released in May. According to the author, Sofia Barret-Ibarria, “to her fans, Wuornos’s story offers a powerful example of a survivor who defies the respectability politics of victimhood.”

Writer Mark Hemingway read this article as it was originally published (paragraph below). Barret-Ibarria equates Justice Brett Kavanaugh to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and “countless others.” She hopes they “will ultimately get what they deserve.” That is to say, they deserve to be shot to death by a serial killer.

As reports of powerful men who abuse vulnerable women continue to surface, it’s hard to deny that survivors are craving stories of revenge—stories where victims not only live to survive the abuse, but fight back. “I think part of her appeal to me personally, in this cultural moment, is that Aileen Wuornos was a woman that men feared,” said Bailey. Wournos story offers hope that terrible men like Jeffrey Epstein, Brett Kavanaugh and countless others will ultimately get what they deserve. “A prostitute hunting men instead of being hunted is a deeply comforting story.”

Hemingway rightly points out in the tweet below that “the author is saying Brett Kavanaugh DESERVES TO BE MURDERED BY A SERIAL KILLER?!…Were all the responsible editors left in journalism killed in a purge night or something.”

The emphasized sentence was changed after it was widely criticized.

At a time when we are constantly inundated with stories like that of Jeffrey Epstein and Brett Kavanaugh, her story is an example of men facing repercussions for their actions. “A prostitute hunting men instead of being hunted is a deeply comforting story.”

Although the revised sentence no longer implies that Kavanaugh deserves to be murdered by a serial killer, she still includes him in the same category as Epstein.

I am not a lawyer, but it would seem to me that some of the language used by liberal writers and commentators in their coverage of Justice Kavanaugh meets the legal criteria for libel. I realize that Kavanaugh is a public figure and the bar is set higher than if he were a private citizen. He is also a conservative, so the bar goes higher still.

Justice Kavanaugh has not been convicted of a crime. He is the victim of the most vicious character assassination campaign in U.S. political history.

At some point, those who peddle fake news must pay a price for it.
