LGBT Site “Queerty” Tries to Create False Narrative About Right-Wing Homophobia With Zero Proof, Internet Responds

Westlake Legal Group Untitled-2-620x378 LGBT Site “Queerty” Tries to Create False Narrative About Right-Wing Homophobia With Zero Proof, Internet Responds soccer Politics Megan Rapinoe lies LGBT Lesbian Kelley O'Hara Front Page Stories flag Featured Story fake outrage donald trump Allow Media Exception

If you were watching the US women’s soccer team celebrate their victory over the Netherlands, then you likely watched as Megan Rapinoe tossed the flag to the ground in order to pose during her celebrations.

FIFA seems to be killing any video of it, but Caleb Hull managed to put it back up. Watch it now, because there’s no telling how long it’ll be allowed to stay up before Twitter takes it down again.

As that happened, however, fellow player Kelley O’Hara ran up and snatched the flag off the ground, earning her the respect of Americans who found Rapinoe’s carelessness with the flag insulting and offensive.

At some point in the celebration, O’Hara, a lesbian, went up to her girlfriend and kissed her. The moment was captured on camera and displayed to the world. According to Queerty, an LGBT site apparently dedicated to being the victim of outrage whether it’s real or not, celebrated this moment by proclaiming that Republicans and Trump fans were all about O’Hara until that moment in an article titled “Trump fans adopted soccer star Kelley O’Hara as their hero. Then they watched this kiss”:

As the far right singled out O’Hara for praise, few pundits noticed that after picking up the flag, she rushed across the field to her girlfriend and locked lips. That makes her the 42nd identifiable LGBTQ player in the Women’s World Cup.

Who the “far right” is or which “pundits” noticed her kiss after rescuing the flag, Queerty author David Reddish doesn’t say. We’re just supposed to believe that they “watched the kiss” and infer that “far right” figures were outraged and now hate her.

Queerty tweeted the article out to Twitter in order to garner the outrage of its readers, but instead got slapped down by more or less everyone for its blatant attempt to create a narrative through dishonest and half-baked commentary.

At the time of this writing, Queerty is being ratio’d heartily with 4.5k in responses compared to its likes which currently sit at over 750.

And it’s right for this to happen. Narratives that say the right hates the LGBT community get created from little to nothing and are spread to the populace who, if they aren’t politically aware, tend to absorb the message and believe that the right truly has it out for gays and lesbians. While it’s impossible to deny that there are people out there who hate gays and lesbians, they make up a minuscule part of the population, and what’s more, they aren’t all on the right.

The problem doubles when they say it’s primarily trump who hates gays and lesbians. As Trump is the President, they believe that the United States in general is hostile to the LGBT community. The problem here is that Trump doesn’t hate the LGBT community. In fact, he’s technically the first President to embrace them from the get-go, and never had to “evolve” about it as Obama did.

The truth is that the vast majority of the right doesn’t care about O’Hara kissing her girlfriend. It’s not an issue. Whatever information the left is working off of to be able to claim the right is homophobic is outdated by years, and may have been overblown in the first place judging by how quickly left-leaning activists make every minor incident a moment of pure hatred and bigotry. You can ask Jack Phillips of Masterpiece Cake Shop in Colorado about that.

But why use reasoning when you could easily create a boogie man out of the “far right” and get people to take sides out of outrage and get them to vote for your party?

Dear Megan Rapinoe, Get Over the Fact That You’re a Gay Person With a Political Opinion and Stop Ruining This

Westlake Legal Group 72df680d-faab-4974-b5a5-005f4e44ef4a-620x317 Dear Megan Rapinoe, Get Over the Fact That You’re a Gay Person With a Political Opinion and Stop Ruining This Sports soccer Politics Olympics Mike Pence Megan Rapinoe LGBT Lesbian Gus Kenworthy gay Front Page Stories Featured Story donald trump democrats Allow Media Exception Adam Rippon

It’s not worth caring about.

It wasn’t long ago that figure skater Adam Rippon and skier Gus Kenworthy were making it a point to make their homosexuality the centerpiece of their time at the 2018 Winter Olympics.

That they’re gay isn’t really a concern to myself or many others. What mattered is that we had athletes on the world stage and we wanted them to do their very best while they represented our country. That’s all we wanted to care about, but Rippon and Kenworthy wouldn’t let us. They, like you, made it political by launching jabs at VP Mike Pence. Before you, Rippon also declined to go to the White House in order to make a statement.

They forced people to take sides instead of letting us enjoy the global sportsmanship free of political taint.

I want to be clear. When I say “take sides,” I don’t mean gay vs. straight. I mean the overall political message that these men forced the public to answer in the negative or affirmative. That they were Olympians didn’t matter after that. They made their politics eclipse their accomplishments.

What mattered is that they took political stances that many people couldn’t get behind. That they were gay mattered very little.

Now we have you. Another gay athlete with a cliche political opinion that shouldn’t matter in the wake of your victory on the national stage. Sadly, you made it matter. You made sure it would matter, and instead of the world uniting to rejoice and celebrate what you’ve managed to help pull off, we’re now shaking our heads at your disgusting efforts to hijack something pure and uniting and making it into one more thing to fight over.

We watch as you step on the flag of the country that helped bring you to where you are…

You showed further disrespect by consistently kneeling during the National Anthem, essentially insulting those who died for and helped turn this country in a place where heroes can be made and success is far more easily attained. You do this, according to sources, in order to protest Trump, as if the entire country deserves your ire because of one man.

You feel like you’re making a statement and changing things. I’m happy to tell you that you’re likely succeeding, and you’ll likely push people away from your camp and right into Trump’s.

It won’t be hard to figure out why. Your childish behavior rings more like a narcissist with a grudge than a socio-political role model. What’s more, you’re not even original. Rippon already did what you’ve done in the impotent quest to move the public through sports-based LGBT protesting and, like you, failed to move the needle one iota in your direction. What’s more, a lot of your actions are just microwaved leftovers of what Colin Kaepernick already served up, and when his nonsense was trendy to do in the NFL, the league actually lost 33 percent of its audience.

It’s likely that world’s buzz around you will fade, and your divisive advocacy will go with it like Rippon before you. Using your status as an LGBT sports star with an axe to grind will be one more reason for people not to care about what you have to say. Again, it won’t be because you’re a lesbian, it’ll be because you’re beating everyone over the head with it and using it to draw lines in the sand.

Again, nobody cares that you’re gay.

I’ll write for you what I wrote in 2018 to Rippon and Kenworthy.

The bottom line is that being gay doesn’t make you special, it makes you gay. It doesn’t make you a cultural mouthpiece for the western world, nor does it make you a mouthpiece for the LGBT community at large. It’s a diverse crowd with diverse opinions, and I know too many who roll their eyes so hard at the behavior of people like you that their eyes nearly fall out of their sockets.

Outrage about gay outrage is old hat. You need to understand that we are used to it, and that’s all thanks to braver people who came before you. Outside of your ability to play sports well, you are nothing special, just one more blowhard patting yourself on the back for your identity politics while attempting to paint your political rivals as evil.

You’re gay. Get over it. We certainly have.

America Vastly Overestimates the Size of the LGBT Community According to Study

Westlake Legal Group man-pedestrian-people-road-street-crowd-506472-pxhere.com_-620x413 America Vastly Overestimates the Size of the LGBT Community According to Study study Population Politics LGBT Lesbian gay gallup Front Page Stories Featured Story Allow Media Exception

With things like the LGBT movement dominating entire months, and so much advocacy and activism being dedicated to the community, you’d think that gay and lesbians exist around every corner. However, according to a new Gallup study, America has it vastly overestimated how large the LGBT community is, and it’s all that advocacy and activism it has to thank for it.

According to James Barrett at the Daily Wire, U.S. adults typically guess that nearly a quarter of the population calls in one of the categories that consist of the LGBT movement. In truth, that number is way, way off:

“U.S. adults estimate that nearly one in four Americans (23.6%) are gay or lesbian. Gallup has previously found that Americans have greatly overestimated the U.S. gay population, recording similar average estimates of 24.6% in 2011 and 23.2% in 2015,” the group reports.

That estimate is “more than five times Gallup’s more encompassing 2017 estimate that 4.5% of Americans are LGBT, based on respondents’ self-identification as being lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender,” Gallup explains. When the estimates are broken down by demographics, even the most conservative estimates still remain about four times higher than the 4.5% estimated actual number.

The group is actually very small, but according to Gallup, it receives an inordinate amount of attention and creates the illusion that it’s much larger than it actually is:

Overestimations of the nation’s gay population may in part be due to the group’s outsized visibility. An annual report by GLAAD, an LGBT advocacy group, found that representation of LGBT people as television series regulars on broadcast primetime scripted programming reached an all-time high of 8.8% in the 2018-2019 television season, which is nearly twice Gallup’s estimate of the actual population.

Media, politicians, and activist groups dedicate tons of attention and screen time to a group that, in truth, makes up just a small percentage of the population. You see activist groups push hard for acceptance of even the most extreme behaviors and are told that this is the way society is going and we should just accept it. You see people come out in droves to participate in Pride parades.

In reality, society isn’t going in that direction. The vast majority of us don’t subscribe to it. Many are lending their support to it for various reasons. They may truly believe in it, or some just find supporting it a trendy thing to do since it’s shoved in our faces by the mainstream media. An entire month is dedicated to it, and we’re told not supporting it makes us bigots.

To be clear, members of the LGBT community are Americans that deserve the same amount of respect as everyone else, but we’re being consistently told they deserve more to the point of praising them for being gay or lesbian. This creates conflict, and the fight against the social takeover creates a very loud battlefield, further lending to the idea that this is a much larger community than we’re told.

We’re looking at a very large shadow being cast on the wall by a very small rabbit.

Women Realizes She’s Gay After Watching a Hillary Skit on SNL

Shortly after Donald Trump shocked the world in 2016, NBC’s Saturday Night Live went into collective mourning. They ditched the comedy and decided to instead have Kate MacKinnon, who plays Hillary Clinton in sketches, sing a rendition of “Hallelujah” to all the heart broken souls out there.

It was sad and pathetic, which means that the media and liberals thought it was groundbreaking and powerful.

Apparently it touched people in more ways than one.

Here’s some excerpts.

My life would change forever after a simple Google search in November 2016. I had just seen Kate McKinnon perform the song “Hallelujah” on SNL and discovered that she’s a lesbian. That shocked me because she didn’t fit the awful stereotype often depicted in the media.

I quickly declared her my “new girl crush.” But it was more than that.

At that moment, I realized that I wanted a relationship with a woman like her — but I felt terrible for even having this thought, as someone who was faithfully married.

It was slowly becoming clear to me that I was not straight.

She’d go on to leave her husband and two children.

It was slowly becoming clear to me that I was not straight.

It’s actually a pretty sad story.

The question becomes what she thought she was before all this? Take this line for example.

By the time you reach your 30s, you think you know yourself — your likes, your dislikes, what inspires you, what makes you tick.

But there I was, at 36 years old, realizing I didn’t know myself at all.

I had everything I thought made my life perfect. I was married to my best friend and we had two beautiful, healthy and hilarious children, with successful careers and a beautiful home.

If you read the article, there’s no indication that she ever had feelings for women before she saw Kate MacKinnon on SNL.

This sounds more like a mid-life crisis, coupled with a knee jerk reaction to abandon a spouse and kids that she made a commitment to. It wouldn’t surprise me if she changes her mind again down the road.

I think the “profiles in courage” aspect of this as presented by CNN is also a bit much. Even if this woman’s transformation is genuine, does it deserve to be celebrated? If a man watches a bikini competition and realizes he only like large chested women with blond hair, can he leave his wife and kids to the cheers of CNN? I mean that seriously. On a logical level, there’s no real difference there besides the fact that one struggle is considered acceptable.

I constantly had to remind myself, “You get one life. This is your life and no one else’s.”

Maybe, but our life does affect other people and there is such a thing as self-sacrifice for those you love. Am I suggesting she should have stayed with her children in the face of her new feelings? It depends, but that should have been an option. Commitments like having children in life can’t just be run from and there would be plenty of time to chase the lesbian dream later in life.

She made a decision though and now everyone will live out the consequences. That’s part of living in a free country.

Admittedly, it’s still a little weird that a Hillary sketch singing “Hallelujah” is what flipped the switch here.

Dear LGBT Community, Corporations Don’t Care About You

Westlake Legal Group gay-pride-disney-ears-hat-SCREENSHOT-620x352 Dear LGBT Community, Corporations Don’t Care About You pride month Politics money LGBT Lesbian gay Front Page Stories Featured Story fear Culture Corporations Chick-Fil-A Business & Economy Business Allow Media Exception

I hate “Pride Month,” and not for the reasons many would hope to think. I don’t typically care what your sexuality is, so long as it doesn’t involve children or animals. I’m not your keeper just as much as you’re not mine.

But I hate the entire month carved out to celebrate the LGBT cause because I’m consistently inundated with messages, ads, and products that look like a rainbow threw up all over them from corporations talking about how great it is that homosexual people exist and are proud about it. To the idea of free people being free to be whoever they want, I’m all on board. The thing that bothers me is that the corporation celebrating it doesn’t actually believe it.

Let’s set up a hypothetical scenario.

Let’s say that tomorrow that a total social change in the populace is established and the vast majority of the world accepts it and the world’s court of public opinion turns its nose up to homosexuality. The same Macy’s that was decorating its windows with rainbow flag designs and selling “Pride Month” merch will suddenly act like there is no such thing as an LGBT community. The businesses who were changing their social media avatars to have rainbow overlays wouldn’t have a trace of pro-LGBT sentiment in any of its pages.

This would happen because the corporation is concerned with one thing, and one thing only.

Money is the name of the game, and the more of it that they can get, the more the corporations will act in whatever manner is necessary to get it. This means that all the window dressing and pride t-shirts are really just a pandering tool as a way to squeeze more money from people. This would be all well and good, and I celebrate that kind of capitalism by itself.

However, corporations do more than just sell themed merch directed toward the LGBT community. They moralize.

Pantene did it with transgenderism.

Closeup did it with homosexual couples.

During 2013’s Supreme Court battle over gay marriage, almost every corporation and their dog were sporting the equal sign in support of the homosexual marriage. Again, I don’t care if gay people want to have a ceremony and call themselves married, but now we’re talking about corporations telling us about what is right and wrong.

Again, they’re not doing this because they care, they’re doing this because it’s a trend that will make them money. If it stopped making them money, they’d stop doing it. Which makes this hollow. They just want your money, and more importantly, they want you to be okay with spending money there even when it’s not Pride Month. If you’re celebrating a corporation for being “pro-LGBT,” then their plan is working. You’re sending people to spend more money at their locations with your praise.

But there’s a malicious element to it that I feel needs to be highlighted.

Christians had to accept a long time ago with the celebration of Christmas that most corporations don’t care about them either. It’s undeniable that the entire holiday revolves around the birth of Jesus Christ. He is the literal reason for the season. Yet, most corporations won’t acknowledge that the guy is even a factor.

Why?

Because corporations found out that the promotion of Christ has negative ramifications. The media will lambast them as the media does when it comes to anything Christian. They’ll use negative connotations when speaking about them, ask officials from the business loaded questions, take them out of context with every word they say, and turn almost everything they do into a national issue. Activists begin to work overtime to make sure that the corporation is consistently dogged with bad PR, lawsuits, and more.

Proclaiming your Christianity in an official capacity is a huge risk. Sometimes it pays off, as it did for Hobby Lobby and Chick-fil-A, but sometimes it means your life becomes unbelievably complicated, as it did for Jack Phillips and his Colorado bakery.

It’s dangerous to be associated with Christian causes, or even right-wing causes. Those kinds of stances likely mean a whole host of problems you wouldn’t have to deal with if you had celebrated the approved causes form the get-go. The media approved causes. The activist approved causes. The causes supported by the loudest and well-connected among us.

In short, corporations aren’t just doing this for the money, they’re doing it out of fear. A business would normally have much to gain by keeping quiet and just selling its wares, however, it feels the need to steer clear of one issue and publicly and loudly embrace another. It only does this because it feels that if it doesn’t, that the activists and the media will start asking questions.

And when they start asking their questions, there is no answer that will satisfy them. Once they start asking the questions, you’re already in trouble. Better to capitulate and celebrate now than face the mob and lose money later.
