Seven candidates will be on stage tonight for the eighth Democratic Presidential Debate. In order to qualify for this debate, candidates needed to have been allocated at least one pledged delegate from Iowa, achieve at least 5 percent support in at least four DNC-approved national or early-voting-state polls (New Hampshire, South Carolina, and/or Nevada), or at least 7 percent support in two single early-voting-state polls (New Hampshire, South Carolina, and/or Nevada). Candidates also needed to have received donations from at least 225,000 unique donors and a minimum of 1,000 unique donors per state in at least 20 states.
The eighth Democratic debate is scheduled for Friday, February 7 and will be co-hosted by ABC News, WMUR-TV, and Apple News. The debate is being moderated by ABC chief anchor George Stephanopoulos, ABC World News Tonight anchor David Muir and ABC News correspondent Linsey Davis. In addition, the ABC moderators will be joined by WMUR’s Political Director Adam Sexton and anchor Monica Hernandez. The debate will run from 8:00 to 11:00 PM EST.
The debate will air on ABC and WMUR-TV. It can also be streamed live on ABC News Live featured on Apple News, Roku, Hulu, AppleTV, Amazon Fire TV, Xumo, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter, and on the ABC News site and mobile phone apps. WMUR-TV will also livestream the debate on the WMUR-TV website and WMUR’s mobile app.
