A Special Counsel Must Investigate Rudy Giuliani and Bill Barr

A special counsel could serve the purpose of issuing criminal charges against the people Bill Barr refuses to charge and against Bill Barr himself.

Right now we’re in a pickle because Barr absolutely refuses fo do his job when it comes to anything that might upset Trump.

There was a criminal complaint filed against Guliani over the Ukraine issues and Barr elected to do nothing about it.

A special councel would solve that problem even if they didn’t have the ability to indict the president himself in the short term.

It would place ENORMOUS pressure on Barr to not go along with Trump’s illegal agenda. We might even see his resignation.

Billionaire Tells Wealthy To ‘Lighten Up’ About Elizabeth Warren: ‘You’re Not Victims’

Westlake Legal Group dxQD9LYisVwm15BDUcD4y9aQXJ-6uxHD2sbWjCFJY1k Billionaire Tells Wealthy To 'Lighten Up' About Elizabeth Warren: 'You're Not Victims' r/politics

I sometimes have trouble justifying taxing a lot more to those who “worked hard and became very wealthy…” but lately I’ve been thinking of it in more broken down terms. Money is a token of value representing buying power. We earn that value by providing something, anything, of value into the system. Most of us have to put in a lot to merit obtaining more buying power. Money is sort of this social contract that “hey, you keep doing what you’re doing and society is benefitting overall in some way, so in this society you have this much of the pie, this much ability to buy what you want from others who are providing some service or product you value.”

However, what are these billionaires doing for society? Some, you might say, have done a lot. Well, whatever it is they’re doing, is so worth it to society that they deserve that large a piece of the buying power pie?

I don’t think of it simply as taking away their money, I think of it as an attempt to better pay them appropriately, pay them proportionate to what they provide. (This is different for the poor homeless person who doesn’t provide to society, for them I would say we should try to provide a some set minimum of buying power so they can get shelter and food, etc.)

Should the walmart family be filthy rich for owning one of the most successful store chains in the country? Absolutely. Should they be 163 (!) billion dollars rich? Hell. No. It’s a disproportionate size of the pie.

Idk if I am articulating it well in this little ramble but it’s a concept I’ve been thinking about for a little while.

Poll: Number Of Americans Who Favor Stricter Gun Laws Continues To Grow

Westlake Legal Group JoF4Xm8jjQwczyZbe1Iy-00MJ6C8NJDe6O_joMbQiXA Poll: Number Of Americans Who Favor Stricter Gun Laws Continues To Grow r/politics

That’s because gun owners are also in favor of some serious changes in the law. We’ve been arguing for decades that the existing laws are idiotic.

Dunno how many people saw it, but the case in California against a Joseph Roh confirms it recently; per the ATF’s own guidelines, no single component of an AR-15 is considered a firearm receiver. Someone with the legal cajones could challenge the rule in court and, if successful, change the gun world by making it possible to buy ALL of the parts for an AR-15 and assemble it at home, without needing a background check. Today, you have to have the lower receiver sent to an FFL for a background check first.

I won’t lie, part of our interest is to make the law a little less strict on us, but the number of braindead rules out there is stifling and hurts gun control efforts. For example, short barreled rifles are considered NFA firearms, and are defined as either having a barrel length of under 16″ or an overall length of less than 24″, all as an effort to curtail concealable weapons. But, this rule means that a rifle 48″ long (longer than an AR-15) with a 15.5″ barrel is considered a concealable weapon and requires an additional background check and tax stamp.

Don’t even get me started on AR pistols.

And on top of that, the current wait time for NFA approvals is, like, a year. The number of people out there who would rather just skip the NFA approval and build an SBR without is shocking. Because of the beauracratic foul up, people are less likely to abide by the law.

Our gun laws are moronic. Gun owners will say as much.

Accused of using the presidency to enrich himself, Trump announced a rare backtrack on Twitter on Saturday night stating “based on both Media & Democrat Crazed and Irrational Hostility, we will no longer consider Trump National Doral, Miami, as the Host Site for the G-7 in 2020.” He says his administration “will begin the search for another site, including the possibility of Camp David, immediately.”

‘I am back’: Sanders tops Warren with massive New York City rally

Westlake Legal Group vDmacOER5hXkKmx0migQNbwQcH4QS_9UXXRYUdXTBn8 'I am back': Sanders tops Warren with massive New York City rally r/politics

No one else was talking about the issues he’s been talking about throughout his career & during his campaign in 2016.

Now (with varying degrees of authenticity & sincerity), pretty much ALL of the Dem candidates are talking about those issues.

Whether or not he wins the nomination, he’s won the majority of the public on hearing their voices & concerns AND by walking his talk not only now, but for decades.

HIS agenda is THE vote-winning agenda, whether or not the party establishment likes it. And it’s why ALL of the other candidates have to adopt it, address it, or ignore it – they all know it’s the best way to get the voters on their side.

The Dem leadership is trying to disappear him. But he’s not going away. He never went away. He never will.

His platform is now the heart of the Dem party, even if he doesn’t get the nom. And the party won’t gain any voters (& may lose voters) if they don’t have a national candidate who carries his intentions forth.

Facebook is allowing politicians to lie openly. It’s time to regulate

Westlake Legal Group GEWx_E6QTmHIaPaQz29vpO3TwBmoFDpPexaKXR_lXdo Facebook is allowing politicians to lie openly. It's time to regulate r/politics

Ahh here is the solution. Good job.

As far as the title it struck me funny: “Facebook is allowing politicians to lie openly”

Politicians have always lied openly. It’s just that now the corruption is at an all time high, that Mulvaney says the secret words out loud because to him this is STOP. “Yeah we do it all the time”. He has no reference point between what clean politics are and corrupt politics. All he has seen is corruption.

If people really cared, they’d leave FB in droves…so much so that it would make Zuck shit his pants. But no, we want government to regulate.

And I’m not saying that there shouldn’t be some regulations, and back stops in place, but all that is going to do is make Zuck more crafty in his approach.

Just stop using FB. I guarantee you when advertisers have no one left to advertise to, it will be a distant memory like MySpace.
