Bernie Sanders Explains Why Low Unemployment Doesn’t Mean Americans Are Better Off

Westlake Legal Group 3nbKgJ5pJ6LkjYKwn--pHkvKhJ-fMl5zzr7PymVsKGc Bernie Sanders Explains Why Low Unemployment Doesn’t Mean Americans Are Better Off r/politics

yeah I don’t buy that at all…

purchasing power has fallen significtanly since the late 70’s

take home ownership, average wage in 1979 16,200 average home price 62,900…meaning the average worker would need to labor for 3.88 years to pay that house off (assuming no other expenses)

Fast forward to 2018 the average wage is 52,145, while the average home in the US costs 383,500…meaning they’d need to labor for 7.39 years

That’s a huge decline in purchasing power in my book, its even worse if you look at things like education and healthcare, food is probably the one area where purchasing power has remained similar, on the backs of Trillions of dollars of farm subsidies

Donald Trump has violated his oath. Mitch McConnell is about to violate 2.

Westlake Legal Group x6anF4aIZlWbkA-iKTlWEaQyFOmbDa0oRvsGZndnH8Y Donald Trump has violated his oath. Mitch McConnell is about to violate 2. r/politics

I think that pointing out individual Republican’s failures and lies and corruption is where we can move people. So many have hardened their opinions on Trump, that he is being unfairly attacked.

But pointing out all the factual misbehavior of other republicans is softer ground, and it undermines trump’s bedrock, too.

People forget things almost immediately. That’s where republicans win, because they choose talking points and harp on them over and over.

We need to continually talk about all the guilty Trump associates serving time, the fact that McConnell has promised to break his oath, the fact that Barr has lied over and over.

Also, we need to point out every time when the media holds dems to a high standard and Republicans to almost none.

In Christmas Night Twitter Eruption, Trump Questions Why House Is ‘Allowed to Impeach the President’

Westlake Legal Group iSgx-o02gvjYbrWGeKCOlUUoEkul6Xe2h5dDx9ghsAE In Christmas Night Twitter Eruption, Trump Questions Why House Is 'Allowed to Impeach the President' r/politics

Just hours after starting Christmas day with a subdued and scripted video address celebrating the “warmth and bliss of this holiday season,” President Donald Trump late Wednesday fired off a pair of tweets calling Speaker Nancy Pelosi “crazy” and questioning why the House of Representatives was “allowed” to impeach him.

”Why should Crazy Nancy Pelosi, just because she has a slight majority in the House, be allowed to Impeach the President of the United States?”

So, basically, he has no idea how the Constitution, and the system of checks and balances it institutes, work?

Well, that’s kinda old news, but this is still a disturbing sign and it shows why candidates who don’t understand the literal foundational document of our country shouldn’t be in charge of running the country…
