Him and Tom Steyer should be avoided at all costs (I grew up in the Silicon Valley and with one foot there and another in the north east (George up to NY).
Steyer and Bloomberg would both be bad for the majority of the country.
It’s entirely possible that one of three things is happening:
trump winning 2016 really emboldened successful business moguls like Howard Schultz, Bloomberg, and Steyer. Shoot didn’t Zuckbot dip a toe in for a moment???
They legitimately think they can do better than the current dodos we have
They’re deliberately sabotaging the Democrats to divide the vote and distract voters
Tin foil hats on for that 3rd one, it’s just an idea I’ve been mulling over for the past months, but 1 and 2 definitely have legitimacy backing them.
I wasn’t there, so I only know from the news, but it blows me away that they took that route instead of helping their customers.
If you REALLY want someone to succeed at paying you back, treat them like a good investor or VC treats a startup that they invested in. Help them connect with the opportunities, give them guidance, provide them with any and all backup they need to succeed.
Steyer’s history comes from financial companies and if you look through his prior job titles you’ll have an idea what type of person we’re dealing with.
Not to mention the most concerning thing to me: his Wikipedia page seems to be sanitized of any bad things he’s done or been party to…
