We are planners, strategists, and problem solvers. To us, “planning to win” is more than an expectation - it is an action.
Our Services:
Westlake Legal Group is available to represent you in court, or to merely advise you on proposed actions. Our attorneys are admitted in all the Courts of the Commonwealth of Virginia, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts in the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
What Makes Us Different?
We succeed in the most difficult cases because of an approach and a culture that is distinctly different from other firms.
We have three distinct practice sectors:
Criminal and Traffic Law and Tort Litigation: We defend people charged with crimes, traffic offenses, and administrative violations. These include all misdemeanors and felonies, including drunk driving, theft, and drug possession; traffic offenses; and regulatory actions in front of various state boards, to include the Board of Realtors, the Virginia Bar, and the Board of Contractors. We also represent people who have been injured by the negligence or malpractice of others, such as personal injury, medical malpractice, and wrongful death cases.
Contract Disputes, Real Estate, Civil Litigation and Business Law: We represent people enforcing their rights under oral and written contracts, and have significant experience with residential real estate transactions and landlord-tenant matters. If you are starting a business or have an ongoing business legal issue, we can help. We handle all aspects of civil litigation faced by individuals and business owners alike, including enforcing or defending contractual rights; forming and dissolving corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies; contract writing and review (including shareholder and sale of business agreements); and advising on employment matters.
Family Law and Estate Planning: Family law matters can be emotional. We handle your problems with sensitivity. The types of Family law matters we handle are: divorce, child custody and support, spousal support, property division, and adoption. We also help you protect your assets upon death through estate planning, including simple estate plans, wills, powers of attorney, living wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, and probate administration.
